Hermes x reader (relationship headcanons)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

to start things off this man is a perfect gentleman. for your first date, he will pick you up with a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a cute smile.

he will hold your hand as he leads you to a picnic spot in a field, where when it turns to night you watch the stars together.

if you're a mortal then he will proudly take you to Olympus and show you off to his family. if you're another god/goddess then he will tell everyone on Olympus about your relationship.

there will be times when you'll be standing somewhere, or talking to someone and Hermes will quickly speed to you just to give you a quick kiss before speeding off again to do his duty.

he is a morning person but will pretend not to be just to stay and cuddle you longer. and his morning voice is DEEP. I mean you're gonna hear it and have to do a double take on if it was him or not.

if he gets jealous, he'll just casually hold your hand and silently glare at the person until they leave.

you have to comfort him every time he overhears or is told by Hera that he is a bastard. he just sobs in your lap or on your shoulder while you whisper comforting words and stroke his hair.

speaking of his hair you're the only one he lets touch it. he lets you brush it and style it for him. he will sit there with a blush and ask about your plans for the day.

he takes you on at least one date a week. it can be anywhere from simple dates to extravagant ones. Once you two had gone skinny dipping in the ocean and were caught by Poseidon. you both avoided him for weeks.

when you first met Apollo and Dionysus, they told you embarrassing story of Hermes when he was little. and they talk about how they listened to him talk about you for months. this usually ends with Hermes red as a tomato or using his cape to go invisible.

he introduces you to Zeus with pride. happy to show his father the person that he loved and planned to stay with for eternity. if you are a mortal then of course he will ask Zeus to make you immortal.

hermes is adorable and wants nothing more than to marry you and start a family. he would love to have kids with you whether you can have kids or not. if you can, he'll be happy that you can have kids together, and he, of course, will hope that they look like a perfect mix of you two. if you can't then he will adopt a child with you.

Zeus is a shit parent, obviously. His brothers are better parents obviously.

Here’s the examples of the ones from blood of zeus (from the main 3 godly children that were on screen, srs the others got nothing)

Apollo - kept Zeus from getting caught by Hera, probably preventing the conflict from happening earlier, and yet no thank you or nothing, not shocking Zeus is a dick. Saved Hermes from probable death from a dangerous job and got tossed into the fucking ocean, a sun god, in water. Poseidon being the better brother, and brought him to Olympus…….. Zeus said and did nothing, probably still pissy at Hera for shanking him in the neck. Probably deals with Hera being pissy he and the others are Zeus’s bastard children

Hermes - literally delivers all of his messages and findings on top of delivering souls to Charon, again, no appreciation. Definitely deals with Hera calling him a bastard child. Agreed to spy on Hera, who probably knew that was gonna happen, and nearly got killed (probably murder attempt) by Ares for it (thank you Apollo). Immediately ran up to Olympus, after that (possible) murder attempt to save Zeus’s ass from getting killed by Hera, he definitely would’ve got stabbed again. And bc it’s Zeus, no appreciation.

Ares - the punching bag of Zeus, ‘oh Hera found smth out must be Ares, let me throw a lighting bolt at him and find out’. No you idiot, Hera found out by herself and was already aware. Always on his mothers side because 1) his old man can’t keep it in his pants and 2) (hc) he probably had to deal with the aftermath of finding out her husband is a cheating dick each time.

Now Hephaestus was barely on but he’s clearly under appreciated, that mf Zeus was destroying his robots left and fucking right as a lesson, on the other hand his owl robot (forgot the name) is so fucking cute.

This is just the examples from BOZ, I liked the show overall but making Hera the antag and a jealous bitch was a bad choice. You could’ve made her the villain because her husband, who’s also her brother, fucking assaulted her and she married him to hide that fact. Also the fact her husband can’t keep his shriveled dick in his fucking chiton. :) fuck you Zeus.

Like flowers, incense, jewels (I don't remember all the things, it depends on the God/Goddess from what I saw on Pinterest T v T) and how they would react to their s/o's affection?? Like, the altar is never messy! Flowers wilting? Buy others. Stones/jewels? Always clean and shiny... Just take care of the altar for their loved one as if it were them and their reaction when they find out, hehe~

She appreciates how the altar is always to peak perfection when the moon is full, and she’s able to visit you, taking the form of a hare just to be held by you

Ares: i apologize, but apollo had challenged me and i will not back down from such an easy challenge of eating.

Ares: lies! of course i beat you

Apollo: well since its unclea how about another challenge? i challenge you to lift the heaviest weight in the store

Artemis: apollo no-

Apollo and Ares: *runs off*

Artemis: why cant they listen for once. *she groans*

Zeus: *goes to the front*

Everyone: *silence*

Zeus: alright we'll deal with this when we get home. where is artemis and heron?

Random store worker: are these the two your looking for? *gestures to an annoyed artemis and a wet heron*

Zeus: ....yes

Heron: we wanted to free the lobsters.

Artemis: he wanted to free the lobsters *she grumbles*

Dionysus: cool! we stole wine.

Apollo: ..we broke half the shelves in the store

Random worker: youre all never welcome to shop here again you realize that right?

Artemis: ok everyone, since we got banned from the last store for wine stealing, lobster freeing, shelf breaking reasons *she side-eyes her brothers* let's not do that this time.

Everyone: *nods and runs off*

Artemis: this is going to end badly isnt it?

Ares: has going out with them ever ended good?

Artemis: sometimes i just dont get why they cant understand that they have to follow rules even if they are gods, you know i appreciate this alot. its hard to find someone who just listens *she pats the squirrel on the head.

Daphne: look at all of these beautiful flowers hyacinthus.

Hyacinthus: they are very pretty

Random person: ya, to bad they throw the ones they dont sell out. *walks away*

Daphne: we have to save these flowers! *she starts grabbing the flower boxes*

Dionysus: i know right! its awesome!

Hermes: that stand over there is selling wine sample's
