Thyme and Harold helping me pick some brambles by the road! Harold could reach a little further into the verge than Thyme (but not quite as far as me).

Commissioned a still life of all the sex fruit/pollen/foods from the August @lahficclub prompt to commemorate everyone's work! This is by the incredible @killianart, who I can recommend the work of very highly. Total dream to work with, and look at these gorgeous fruits! (And flowers and brownies).

Lunar New Year is around the corner, and I’ve always wanted to draw something for Fruits Basket so…yeah, Momiji in his New Year ceremonial robes.

Note
Is bramble- meant to be included in the 'White' section? Also in the torties there is a 'Brambling' which doesn't seem to fit the proper-noun theme of its section. Love the new formatting, makes it much easier for me to read, thank you for the time and effort you put in!
Bramble- is in the white section due to the white flowers found on raspberry/blackberry bushes! It's also in the black section for the ripe fruit and I think it's in the red section for the unripe fruit (or just red raspberries). The brown tabby part is due to the tangle of woody stems.

Brambling is a species of finch!

You can see why they're used for torties. Wish I could see them. And you're welcome!

Hi Everyone <3
I’m gutted to say it, but I am somewhat officially abandoning this account. It’s something I’ve been considering on and off for a long time, which you may suspect from my absences in the last handful of years.
I initially abandoned this account because I believe that one of the people who abused me growing up was stalking me through this blog and keeping tabs on me.
This blog served as a crutch (aid) that has carried me through so many episodes of mental health and self discovery that it really hurts to let it go. I felt like I could be myself here, long before I had any real grasp on who I was, or what I was actually going through. It breaks my heart to finally accept this after wrestling with the fact forever, but it’s not safe to share in this space anymore. I’ve had plenty of time to mourn the passed eras of my life. It’s time to move on.
I’m sorry to the friends that I ghosted. I still think of you often, and I miss you. I would love nothing more than to get back in contact with you all. I’m a different person now, and it might be uncomfortable getting to know each other once more; what we shared is still cherished and sacred to me. I want to reach out through messages, but I'm scared. I want to start again with you.
To the one person in my real life who I chose to show this blog to – my dear old friend from a lifetime ago – I hope you someday feel comfortable and welcome reaching out to me. I have something serious I need to discuss with you. I don’t want you to panic or stress about it, but you really deserve to be informed. It feels disrespectful and inconsiderate to try and re-establish contact on my end. Please consider leaving me a message.
As a final note, I would like to share that I’ve been on a soft social media blackout for the last two years or so – fully deleted all my other accounts and profiles across every platform and have been focusing on mental health, healing and learning about trauma, and self discovery. It was the best choice I ever made. Don’t be afraid to change your habits and break your cycles in order to heal and grow. It’s hard, and it’s worth it. I love you.

Valdicava

Valdicava Rosso di Montalcino  Tuscany, Italy  2020  100% Sangiovese
First up is this low intervention sustainably farmed Rosso di Montalcino. Named after the valley in which the grapes are grown, Valdicava is situated in the coldest part of Brunello.
Aged in old oak, this results in soft tannins and a silky mouthfeel. Grippy at first, this softens into a long finish.
Tasting notes: balsamic, chocolate, cherry, intense dark fruits, plum, bramble, pepper
Pairing: venison, beef, rich pastas
Similar to: lighter and less extracted than Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino is a dry, fruity red layered with spices

Autumn Fruits: Blackberries by Tony Via Flickr: Blackberries grow wild throughout most of Europe. They are an important element in the ecology of many countries, and harvesting the berries is a popular pastime. However, their rigorous growth and tendency to grow unchecked if not managed correctly means that the plants are also considered a weed

Strawberry Shortcake OC episode ideas
- Pumpkin opens his restaurant but has to learn to accept help. This is easier said than done.
- An episode about Chronic illness and invisible disabilities, featuring Winterberry.
- Elderberry has small segments between episodes teaching about health and when to treat yourself vs when to go to the doctor. She has one episode dedicated to her (it’s about Homeopathic Medicine and how it can be dangerous) but is otherwise a side character.
- Chamomile Tea moves to Strawberryland and teaches kids that some people are better off being avoided.
- Cranberry has an episode about colorblindness (because I’ve never seen it portrayed in Children’s media) and one about how it’s okay for friends to be alone sometimes. He sings a song where he just sing-yells “LEAAVE ME ALOONE STRAWBERRY I JUST WANT TO BE ALONE GO AWAY, I’M NOT UPSET(YET) JUST LET ME FISH IN PEAAAACE!” three times and getting increasingly more aggressive each time.
- The pets (OC and Canon) get together and have their own adventure trying to rescue Custard and Honey Pie Pony.
- Chamomile versus Sour Grapes and the Purple Pieman. It ends up with her repeatedly betraying Strawberryland every time the latter shows up in an episode. Sour Grapes is deeply bothered by her behavior and the Purple Pieman starts to agree with his sister after an Incident involving Angel Cake and a jar of honey.
- Obligatory Swearing Episode featuring Pumpkin, Rainbow Sherbet,  and Ginger Snap, because I think they curse a lot.
- Blueberry Muffin plots revenge against Chamomile Tea after the latter embarrasses her at a writing competition. The revenge is successful. Blueberry regrets nothing. This episode doesn’t teach any good lessons.
- Huckleberry hangs out with the boys and discovers a new house with new kids named Snowberry and Monkshood. They are (as their names suggest) also some of life’s antagonists like Miss Tea. Snowberry bullies Winterberry for being sick and Monkshood hates girls. Huckleberry protects Winterberry and Pumpkin beats Monkshood up after he insults Raspberry Torte, who is visiting.
- Pumpkin teaches the confections on how to cook healthy food and explains cooking the color wheel, plus why dieting is a bad idea without talking to your doctor.
- The confections (Strawberry, Pumpkin, Huckleberry, Ginger Snap, Seaberry Delight, Orange Blossom, and Lemon Meringue) get lost at sea when helping Rainbow Sherbet crew her boat over a long journey. Lovecraftian horror nonsense ensues. Huckleberry punches candy Cthulhu. It's never too early to teach a crippling fear of the sea!
- Halloween episode. Featuring a ghost named Fruit Bramble, who scares the crap out of everyone.
- Snowberry starts a prank war. It gets out of hand, because he and his brother are life’s antagonists
- An episode where the kids team up and make up their own TV shows. Experimental animation is included with each show.
