I just happened to be looking out the window and saw some guy drive *backwards* up the road, get out and tear a branch off a nearby blossom tree (?) with his bare hands, jump and click his heels in the air, get back in his car and drive off.
We've had a literal police car chase and a gang fight with machetes outside on the same street, but this was still somehow the most wtf thing I've ever witnessed in this weird ass neighbourhood.
#ramblings#it was one of those things that isn't *that* crazy in the grand scheme of things#but just bizarre enough that you have to sit for a while and wonder if that really just happened or you just imagined it#the fact that it was the middle of the night on a deserted street behind some shitty student dorms made it more surreal somehow#who is this man? what did he want a tree branch covered in flowers for? why the heel click? i will never find out#farewell mysterious backwards driving branch thief i will think of you often#shut up squid
