BRAZILIANS SWIFTIES NEED HELP!!!
As some of you might be aware, tomorrow the general sales for The Eras Tour in Brazil start and it's a complete MESS! This is a cry for help and our attempt to reach as many US fans as we can, since it's easier for them to be noticed by Taylor Nation! If you're a US Swiftie, bear with me because we desperately need your help!
Scalpers are mass buying tickets on site and online and T4F (Tickets For Fun) the company responsible for bringing Taylor to Brazil is being complicit with them. There are also scalpers finding ways around the website system and buying 100+ plus tickets when the maximum was 4 per social security number! General sales start tomorrow and scalpers are already camping at the stadium box office and threatening the fans who are pressuring them to leave and T4F continues to do NOTHING.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now the situation has got even more dire and fans are being THREATENED with violence and even suffering homophobia! Two girls were also physically assaulted and a boy was beaten up with a BEER BOTTLE! WE ARE FEARING FOR OUR LIVES!
In this tweet fans are updating in real-time their account of what is happening!
Tumblr media
We're trying to reach as many news outlets as we can, but up until now we haven't heard back from anyone and the police just got to the scene but it appears that NOTHING has changed! The stadiums, Allianz Parque and Engenhão are ALSO silent about this.
We are also using the hashtag T4F QUEREMOS RESPEITO to ask for respect and to pressure the company into doing SOMETHING! We're hoping that if it reaches Taylor Nation we have a higher chance of resolving the situation before people start to get MORE injured. PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to talk about Brazil situation!
Guys, I've seeing a lot of people talking about things they really don't know or even worse, being xenophobic. I would like to explain to swifties around the world the whole situation.
Brazilian swifties love Taylor. We have a lot of passion for her. She visited Brazil only one time, in 2012. She performed 7 songs for a small group of fans. After 11 years she came back. Everybody was so excited. There were fans that couldn't buy the tickets because they were over. There are many other swifties like me that won't go to any of the 6 concerts. Because she has a lot of fans here.
Do you wanna a proof of our love for her? Christ The Reedemer is one of the 7 Wonders of the World. No other international artist was honored with projection on the statue before. Brazilian swifties put a LOT of effort to make it happen. Becauae we really like Taylor. Also, a lot of swifties participated in a fund rising connect with the Catholic church of Rio de Janeiro that is responsable for the Christ statue. And we raised a lot of money that will help many families.
Everything was right. Everybody was happy. Until what happened at the first concert. Brazil is going through atypical weather. Brazil is known for being a hot country but it have never been this hot like now. Brazil is being affected by a heat wave. Such hot temperatures weren't predictable, BUT there were human actions that made things get worse. People weren't allowed to bring a bottle of water to the stadium. If the fans wanted to drink water, they would have to buy it (and for expensive prices). Also, the stadium has vents and areas to have air circulating and they were closed, which made the stadium hotter inside. Absurd! A thousand fans fainted out at the first night due to the hot weather. And the worst thing happened, a beautiful and young girl died.
On the next day (Saturday), the fans could take water into the stadium and the vents were open, but the heat was worse. But the fans were still strong, waiting in the line (some of them since morning) under the sun and hot temperatures. The gates were open, people entered into the stadium. At the end of day, people received the news that the show was postponed to Monday. And some of them got mad at the moment. And I understand them. Because there are fans who travelled from far away, spent money at transporting, hotel and food, and some of them won't be able to go to Monday's concert because of their work, study and other reasons.
Let's make one thing very clear: we love Taylor and we know it's not her fault. She did the right thing when decided to postpone the concert. But a lot of fans were so tired of everything they were going through and showed their frustation with the whole situation. They said the postpone should have been made earlier. Also, there are rumors that Taylor wanted to do it earlier but the company didn't let her to.
An amount of bad situations led to all of this. So it's so unfair and insensitive of some people say that Brazilian swifties don't like Taylor, or that she should cancell all the Brazilian shows and leave the country (when people have bought their tickets, paid for transporting and hotel and planned every little thing months ago), or start being xenophobic with Brazilian fans. We're sad with all of this. We just wanted to spend a wonderful time with Taylor. It's not our fault. It's not Taylor's fault. We're all victims of this whole situation. So please, put yourself in other's people shoes.

I’m brazilian so I apologize in advance for my broken english. I just want to put my two cents in cause I was at the stadium on Saturday when the show was postponed minutes before it was scheduled to begin and I was there on Monday when the show actually happened and all I can say is that the last few days have been some of the worst of my life. Not only I saved for months to be able to afford the tickets to see the show but also I got in debt just so I could fly to rio. With the show being postponed last minute I had to pay an insane amount of money for a hotel to stay in (money I didn’t have btw) otherwise I would have to sleep in the streets. I have diabetes and the insolation almost made me pass out during the hours queueing to enter the stadium. And of course, the worst of all things, what happened to Ana and the way taylor handled the situation. It became so clear to me that she doesn’t care about us. We’re nothing to her. On monday she rushed through songs, she didn’t do all the talking she usually does, she barely talked to us. I feel like she resents brazilian fans bc one of us dared to die during one of her concerts which is such an inconvenience to her
I'm so sorry anon! I know it sucks how ts became a billionaire with hard earned money from people like you by playing with your emotions and pretending to care about you. But this parasocial relationship is just a marketing strategy built by her. She doesn’t care about her fans, especially if they are poc people from developing countries. And she for sure resents her brazilian fans because they raised their voice against her. Her narcissistic ass is very pissed and she made it clear with her last show. Some fans were there to see her for the first time in their lives. She had cancelled the show once which caused them much trouble, she should've been extra generous to them for causing them such inconvenience. But what she did was rush through the songs and act like she resents them.

Some of you are fucking xenophobic and it shows. Two people died! The show was canceled 2 hours before the time it was supposed to start after thousands of people were already inside the stadium after spent hours under the sun!!! Ana's family doesn't even have the money to bring her body back home for them to bury (she lived in a different state far away from Rio). The fans are trying to raise money to help them but dude TAYLOR SWIFT IS A BILLIONAIRE!!! I love Taylor and I know everything that happened these last days wasn't her fault but Ana was inside that stadium because she LOVED Taylor. It would be nice if she helped the family of her fan. We are people! We brazilians deserve respect and empathy!!!! So before you start to offend us for being upset take your head from your fucking gringo ass and have some compassion!!!!

Taylor Swift fan dies after feeling unwell during concert in Rio
Ana Clara Benevides, 23, fainted and was taken to a hospital near Engenhão, but did not survive
Tumblr media
Ana Clara Benevides, 23, died on Friday (17th) night after feeling unwell during the concert of singer Taylor Swift, who debuted her tour in Brazil at the Nilton Santos stadium in Rio de Janeiro, with an audience of over 60,000 people.
The information was confirmed to Folha by Estela Benevides, Benevides' cousin, who received the news over the phone from the doctor who tried to resuscitate her. The young woman is originally from Pedro Gomes, Mato Grosso do Sul, but she grew up in Sonora, within the same state. She was sent to the Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital after fainting and being attended to at the stadium. The cause of death was cardiac arrest.
Benevides was at the front row and ended up fainting on the spot. According to nurse Thiago Fernandes, 22, a friend of Benevides, she was resuscitated at the stadium for about 40 minutes. On the way to the hospital, she had a second cardiac arrest.
Benevides arrived around 8 p.m., was attended to, but did not survive, dying shortly after at the hospital near Engenhão, in Méier, in the northern zone of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
The heat index at the venue reached 60ºC and unofficially, firefighters counted a thousand faintings during the event. Fans complained on social media about the prohibition of bringing water bottles into the stadium, considering the intense heat.
If I may add: the venue closed its vents. During a gods-damned heat wave.

This is the point where I'm actually truly disappointed at Taylor.
Posting a small note on her stories without even mentioning Ana Clara's name is a choice, quite possibly one made not only by her. It hurts to see the distance that is being put between Taylor and Ana, but I can understand that this is a PR decision that goes beyond just her (even if, being honest, I think it's very wrong and cold and, at this point in Taylor's career, unnecessary).
Like everyone, I got emotional watching her singing Bigger Than The Whole Sky, seeing how emotional she was herself, seeing that the whole crowd was meaning every word while singing it with her.
But at the same time, we were first hearing the news that Ana's family isn't getting any support, not from the venue, not from the company and not from Taylor's team and this made the entire thing hollow. Because how can you spend you whole career preaching about the collaboration between your fans and still turn the blind eye when something like this happens?
Even if she still wanted to keep distance from that tragedy, something that I'd never think she should do, but that I could try to understand and see the reasons, she has all the means in the world to help. At this point, her word is worth a lot, even more when it comes to a fan in her concert. If she didn't want her name being associated further with this, an anonymous donation would be more than enough. Actually, it was the bare minimum we all not only hoped, but thought was already happening.
Distancing herself from this goes directly against everything Taylor went for her whole career and it's really really painful to see that the care she has for us has limits she could surpass with very little effort.
We are joining to help Ana's family, organizing a fundraiser to pay for everything they need, because once more, the fans have to do what people that SHOULD be doing things aren't moving. And we are still trying to get Taylor's team attention because if they can listen to the fans asking to turn off the pyrotechnics for Bad Blood, they can listen when we ask help to allow a family to have at least a bit of dignity when grieving a tragedy like this.
I hope Taylor can change my mind and we have some help from her team, better late than never, but until then,
Help Ana's family donating to this PayPal:
(this is the only official mean to donate, beware scammers)
And by the way, in no way I mean this as a way to blame Taylor Swift or her team when the true people to blame is T4F. I want this company to rot and declare bankruptcy before the year ends for all they are making us go though from beginning to end of this experience. I just feel like seeing their inaction, Taylor should be doing something.

A group of Brazilian swifties made this scene possible! ❤🇧🇷 Thanks to their effort, Taylor Swift was honored with a projection on the Christ The Reedemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on November 16th, 2023

talking about taylor media coverage in brazil, a few days ago, before she got here, a journalist publish an article with the following headline: “taylor swift doesn’t have a great voice and her melodies aren’t interesting; why, then, is she so popular”. as one can imagine, swifties got extremely upset and harassed the journalist.
now, there’s an article about taylor’s carbon emissions with her private jet. (and swifties from other countries are being racist/xenophobic, who would’ve thought?)*
so i have a feeling her new reputation won’t go away as easy as the first time.
*i have to give credit where credit is due: brazilian swifties with big fan pages have been fighting racist accounts for a few days, but this is something no one else outside of brazil will care or mention.
The way swifties in general are eating up that big brazilian swiftie account on twitter makes me sick to my stomach. It’s like they've gotten an open excuse to be racist and xenophobic towards anyone who's from brazil
