Felt like using dalle2 to mess up some brands. Here's breakfast cereals!
"A box of lucky charms cereal on a grocery store shelf"
"A box of Froot Loops on a grocery store shelf"
"A box of frosted flakes cereal on a grocery store shelf"
"A box of honeycomb cereal on a grocery store shelf"
They get more cursed from here.
"A box of Raisin Bran on a grocery store shelf"
"A box of fruity pebbles on a grocery store shelf"
"A box of grape-nuts on a grocery store shelf"

Breakfast With Barbie cereal was a cereal from the late 80s.
She has natural fruit flavours and wholesome grains!
I don't think of 1989 as being a long time ago, but I can't argue that this particular ad for Breakfast With Barbie absolutely screams "vintage ad".
Part of this is surely because it is trying to evoke the origins of Barbie 40 years earlier in 1959. But I don't know, I actually find something about this a little unsettling.
Incidentally, the Barbie in the ad seems to be Barbie Dance Club, also from 1989.
There was a Barbie release also called Breakfast with Barbie, but to my knowledge this bears no connection or resemblance to the breakfast cereal of the same name.
Apart from the fact that she was released 10 years later in 1999, she is depicted with a box of Honey Nut Cheerios.

breakfast with a man called ove + a new ceramic bowl i'm in love with
three chapters in, i was finding so many similarities between ove and my grandfather. the stringent adherence to routine, fierce independence and the uncompromising opinion on 'the right way to do things'
just got through the chapter with ove and his father, and i think it will be one of my most favourite chapters of this book. i have an unending affinity for reading about the slow, brewing process of love languages being formed; especially for familial or found family relationships.
overall, a funny read till now; looking forward to the upcoming chapters 🐈
