Oh, my. I'm afraid it's been a while since I have read any EM fics, but let me see what I can do for you! I have been preaching some of them out and forever, but maybe you haven't read them or I find them very underappreciated, so I'll repeat again. The problem is that I am almost always more in favour of reading Eremika + another person involved heheh. So let me try to find you solely underappreciated, underrated, underread eremika works.

Two Sides of a Coin by Mea_S: I always preach about this one and for good reason. I think it's the best EM fic I've ever read :') There's also a sequel. Mikasa and Eren are broken people and I just love the psychological aspect of the fic, how they use sex to dissociate, how incredibly well the trauma is explained, and their past. It's one of the best EM fics out there, and completely underrated.

A year to remember by kasei_van: I think this one was one of the first fics I read while joining the fandom! It's a cute read about modern EM in university. Perfect for an iced tea and summer afternoon.

Stars Above and Below by SamNotAm: This might not be underrated and you might know the author with "Green Velvet" or "Letters Between Us", but I feel like this story (not only because I help the author beta-ing) is very well crafted in the plot, and definitely a step forward in their prose.

Washed-Up and Rundown by spoilerarlelt: You might know the author with "How to Coexist", but I was so entranced by that story and realized it wasn't finished that I dug onto the depths of the Internet only to find out that the author's got an FF AND has another story COMPLETED! And it's mY FAVOURITE of them because they feature Levi as a guardian of Mikasa. Amazing, heartstopping.

Lake by the ocean by Breezysays: You might know the author for "Evergreen", but this story I feel it's more mature, not canon, and a little bit more angsty. I love how they write, and it's long (unfinished still) so you have a lot to enjoy if you like them!

Now, if you're alright with other ships + eremika, I can always hit you up with recommendations in which Eremika is present but either Eren or Mikasa have also things going on with someone else (Armin, Jean, Historia, Sasha...) (although mainly it's Mikasa + someone for me). I know a lot of people are only Eremika purely and solely and that's so very fine, but I personally read everything and anything with a good plot (not caring about ships...), so if you'd like to investigate a little, I'm always open to that.

Also, if you enjoy smut, and I suppose you might follow them because they are the bomb and deserve all the praise, I recommend reading the drabbles of @liquorisce, @irememberthedark, @mirrorsswhisper and @sunlightandsuffering.

If you end up liking "Two Sides of the Coin", also don't forget to check @nina-bean's writings because there are a lot of things that converge: incredible prose, mature characters and ways to find a solution to it, psychological aspects and good introspection.

AND you can always check my bookmarks in AO3 (but remember that I am not only an Eremika shipper. You can filter the relationships in there, also the ratings, and just skip everything you don't want to read in case you're not comfortable with it, please. Proceed with caution.)
