What’s your favourite brio YouTube edit?

Lol, is this because I said that Dark Side was my second favorite YouTube edit? Sorry, I should have just given my most favorite. It just didn’t fit into the discussion of that particular post. But I appreciate you asking!

Maybe it’s because I’m so partial to angsty Brio (despite what my fanfics would have you believe 😆) but I am obsessed with the edit set to Isak Danielson’s “Power.”

It’s visually pretty simple, with their most angsty and softest moments slowed down so we get a lot of meaningful stares and such. But the lyrics are what got me. That song is Brio to me. It can be spun so many ways, with so much meaning applied to Brio. Verse one is so Rio. Verse two is so Beth. And both verses are also very them, together. The bridge can be spoken from either of their perspectives and have meaning either way. It’s like that song was written for them.

Considering that this edit was done after season 2, this is the perfect representation of their angst, their hurt, their continued entrapment in each other through the pain of season 3.

Am I the only one who is physically incapable of picking up a WIP from exactly where it left off? Does everyone feel the need to read the whole damn thing again from start to finish (even if you *just* closed it 5 minutes ago), making approximately 1001 minor - but also, paradoxically, VERY important - changes along the way… Only to lose the desire/ability/will to actually add any new lines once they get there? No? Just me? Cool.

“Hi.”

“Hey,” Rio mumbles, voice slightly hoarse. She shivers and for a moment neither of them says anything else. His presence, even in silence, surprisingly comforting.

“You didn’t say goodbye,” he says.

“Oh, I know, I – I couldn’t find you, so—”

That’s a lie. She had looked for him, but he’d been talking to Diane in the garden and it made her blood boil. All her nerves too raw to deal with the weird stab of pain it made her feel.

“Hmmm,” he huffs, tired, and she’s not sure he believes her.

He goes quiet again, the only sound his soft breathing through the speaker. Warm and peaceful, it makes the skin at the base of her neck tingle.

“You okay?” she asks.

“Can’t sleep.”

“How come?”

“Keep finding bits of fuckin’ confetti for one thing,” he tells her and it makes her laugh. Makes him chuckle too when he hears her. “And….”

He pauses for a moment and she holds her breath.

“My bed smells like you,” he purrs. But he says it like it’s a good thing and her eyes fall closed at how content he sounds. “And….” he continues, but falters. Seems to think twice about what he wants to tell her.

But Beth’s desperate to know.

When Cortex Says (A parody of When Veruca Says) Ft. Ryonna because cringe is dead.

Plot: Crash Bandicoot has been on vacation for 40 days and Dr. Neo Cortex's minions (The sidekick Ryonna and the henchmen N. Gin and N. Brio,) try to track him down, figuring where the heck he is so Cortex can put his evil scheme in action. (BTW im not sorry for making this cover i love making this kind of stuff with my hyperfixations)

Ryonna: Well, since the Bandi-clods went on vacation, our master has grown extremely feisty about destroying Crash.

Neo Cortex: I WANT THAT BANDICOOT DOWN!!!

Ryonna: How could we possibly refuse?

N. Brio: We can't. (ahem)

[song starts]

N. Brio: When Cortex says-

Neo Cortex: MORE!

N. Brio: I'm forced to do a chore

N. Gin: And when Cortex says-

Neo Cortex: NOW!

N. Gin: The sweat forms in my brow

N. Brio: For 40 days our sanity tried not to go kaput.

Ryonna: And then guess what we caught on our security camera, CRASH BANDICOOT AT THE BAY! And what'd Doctor Cortex say??

N. Brio: Urgh...!

After like a year and a half, I'm finally vidding again and of course, it has to be good girls 👀 I've only put clips with music so there's still a ton of editing to do but my god, it was strange to hop back into this world
