The highlight of my week was taking a break from the city to visit Winterbourne House & Garden. I enjoyed a scone, picked up this book, marvelled at some pretty flowers and worked on my stats assignment 🌷🌼💖🌻🌸✨
Last week, just before it closed, I was able to catch the Fantasy: Realms of the Imagination exhibition at the British Library and it was truly amazing. The mix of old and new, books and films and games, plus they featured a few of my favourite books which is a sure way to get me on board.
Jud Süß (Jew Suss) 1934 based on the book written by Lion Feuchtwanger 1925. (Veidt looks so good in this I‘m literally in tears because of his beauty.)

my semester is finally over but now it’s study time 🫠🫠 clinging to the few loose plans i have with some friends over exam week that will keep me sane and from dissolving into a stack of paper and ink
I found an app/website for British Sign Language that's basically like DuoLingo but for BSL! There's far less resources that I've been able to find for British Sign Language than there is for American Sign Language, which makes sense with the prevalence of anything American. But trying to find resources for my own country's sign language is difficult due to this because a lot of ASL stuff is just labelled as sign language, not ASL which causes confusion when you're learning.
But this resource is called BrightBSL, it has a similar layout and lesson structure as DuoLingo does (just without audio obviously), the first few levels are free but then it's a subscription model. I played around with it and decided to pay for an annual membership as I had found a discount code for 50% off and I figure I'll be finished with it by the end of the year. But so far I like it!

There are times when I clear off my desk and only take out what I need to work with full focus on one thing. This is not one of those times. Or well, it was when I started. 90% of the time, my desk ends up looking like this.
