The thing about Flexeril is that it’s okay, as muscle relaxers go. You get kinda limp, but not so “relaxed” that you can actually get your injured back (in my case) comfortable enough to do anything useful. I haven’t taken any today so I wouldn't be too limp to write out this post, for example. Unless you take it on an insufficiently-full stomach, because, siblings in Tumblr, I was FLYING last Friday.
Anyway, visit the Shirley Jackson tag in honor of her birthday last week, where I spread the good word of physical media because fuck Netflix.

Heyyo! Just me posting here again. So if you don’t know me or recognise my posts, I’m a 24 year old adv lit female writer (as I’m eighteen plus please ensure you are too especially if you’re seeking nsfw). I’ve been writing since my early teens and it’s something I just love to do. I’m searching for someone who shares my passion for fandoms and is willing to craft some awesome au fandoms. Now you will notice a lot of 90s/2000s based fandoms enclosed. Please be respectful of what I’m searching for and I’ll do the same for you!
Partner Terms:
So, as I mentioned earlier I am advanced literate I write in third person and past tense with detail I write at least three to six paragraphs sometimes more! I love to plot and so should anyone who wishes to write with me. I love sending edits and getting excited about playlists and ideas. While I’m open, to aus for each fandom since ocs will naturally change things, I’d still like my partner to have a good grounding knowledge as I would like to follow episodes and make changes here and there. I’m looking for OC (me) x Canon (you) pairings. I’m doubling friendly however all my roleplays are doubles. I’d love to get some stories going just for myself where I possibly can! Love triangles are a must where possible.
FANDOMS:
A Court of Thorns and Roses (I’m only on book one of the series).- PLEASE do this with me?!
My Life With The Walter Boys ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Supernatural ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gilmore Girls ❤️❤️❤️
Hunger Games/Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Teen Wolf

Please feel free to dm me if the above is anything you feel you might be interested in! I don’t bite and I’m a super friendly writer who’d love to make a few new friends.

Full Moon Music.
We’ve always featured darkness since our very first broadcast on Omega WUSB. By our fourth show, we came close in completing our first full-fledged darkness set in a more dis-organized era when we were still trying to figure ourselves out. Back then, ‘darkness’ meant any amount of well-known industrial, metal, and electronic acts with an evil, deviant, or negative tinge to it. Think Throbbing Gristle, Clock DVA, Whitehouse, Godflesh, NON, and etcetera. We finally achieved full force during a bonus summer broadcast (#21) and since then things evolved in how we did those shows. We’ve made a point in doing at least one but no more than two of these dark broadcasts per year, usually in the winter as it’s the best weather, and that’s not including the Halloween broadcasts we’ve done. That’s a whole other class in itself.
It wasn’t until November 2017 when I attended Hospital Productions’ 20th anniversary, a night I’ll never forget. It was the culmination of nine months of benefits and stay-at-home recovery from three life-saving shoulder surgeries. It felt so good being in my element in Brooklyn (Greenpoint) with all the industrialists, goth girls, and noise aficionados dressed in black. Ten hours of paying personal tributes to Dominick Fernow and his label made me realize there was more to look forward to. It’s something never experienced on Long Island, and don’t even get me started with what that “culture” consists of.
That event left a lasting impression on me. If the label had its’ magic on me with Cocaine Death, then I was totally mystified with its’ own showcase. Even everything surrounding it - the train rides, playlists, playbacks, the weather - felt significant to me. And then some. The following month, Omega WUSB opened up the winter broadcasting season / year with more Hospital Productions and Sacred Bones music to air. Both of those labels had their 20th and 10th label anniversaries respectively and we loved what they’ve released. Philip Best’s Alien Existence and a shipment of RRRecords’ cassettes and vinyl arrived at the residence; both which made me feel proud of myself. By Year Six, Omega WUSB was more focused in playing darkwave, synthwave, soundscapes, and even witch house. As the colder months progressed, I discovered a Brooklyn goth girl who followed me and liked my posts on the regular. She was that rare person I really identified with and gave me a serious run for my money like no other.
Through all the euphoric ups, heartbreaking downs, and greyscale steadies, the show must go on. The events of Hospital Productions and identification still surround me. They are a reminder of who I am, where I’m from, what I look forward to, and who I associate with. The darkness broadcasts still go strong and we look forward in doing them like you wouldn’t believe. By now, Omega WUSB has been more organized. Of all the different genres we play, we make it a point to do these dedicated darkness sets when the weather’s suitable and as long as the music’s current. Aside from that, we still run dedicated bonus (and even our one-and-only deluxe Leap Day) noise shows and we aim to make all of our other goth rock, black metal, classic industrial, minimal, and other midnight finds when and where applicable. All of our listeners know that organizing at least 15 different genres and making them all fit is a challenge.
This past winter, we aired one broadcast of dark electronics from Avon Terror Corps and the L.I.E.S. label, doom metal, no-tech, and some textural noise. Somehow we fell into the rabbit hole of darkwave, synthwave, minimal, and EBM and we’ve had enough for a great three-hour idea. With WUSB’s ethos of independent radio and our ethos of everything new, current, and relevant, we had a case to go off-the-board.
Here’s what I / we’ve been feeling and experiencing for the past four winters. This soundtrack supplements the pristine spectre of full moons and constellations in the clear frigid black skies, plus all the positive events that still stays with me make for a distinct spell I can call my own. No Wax Trax, no Bauhaus, The Cure, The Cramps, Siouxsie Sioux, or Depeche Mode. No doubt they’re all legends, but not every tracklist or mix has to be that way. Everything found here is current and on a different level. If at any time I need to get myself up, I’ll reach back to this and know I’ll come back to something I can call what’s mine.

Hi! How are you?
Who is your favorite character of all time? How many shows do you think you've watched till date (an estimate maybe)
I couldn't pick just ONE character! I'm ANCIENTTTTTTT (in my 30s) and have been mainlining media since the age of like 1 (shout out to Sesame Street, I still watch the clips), how could I possibly pick ONE character out of the 100s (if not 1000s) of shows I've watched???
Some top faves though, through the years:
Chandler Bing (Friends)
Jake Peralta (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
Captain Dad Holt (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
Gina Linetti (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
Christina Yang (Grey's Anatomy)
Villanelle (Killing Eve)
Crowley (Good Omens)
Anika (Ishqbaaaz)
Omkara Singh Oberoi (Strictly Pre-DBO Ishqbaaaz)
Gauri Kumari Sharma (DBO/Ishqbaaaz)
Kusum Kothari (Shaadi Mubarak)
Hong Cha Young (Vincenzo)
Lee Ik Jun (Hospital Playlist)
Porsche Kittisawasd (Kinnporsche)
Tankhun Theerapanyakul (Kinnporsche)
Kimhan Theerapanyakul (Kinnporsche)
Prapai (Love in The Air)
.... Ok, I think that's quite enough. (Also I've reached the Tumblr image limit, lmao.) Safe to say, my brain is always filled with my beloved blorbos and I spend most of my time thinking of them. 🥰🥰🥰

( cody christian, cisman, he/him ) — 🎬 just announced, tobias "toby" forester has been cast as jake jagielski in the upcoming one tree hill reboot. the twenty nine year old is trending as people are debating if the horrificly timed dad jokes, endless half - drank coffee mugs lingering around the household, using finger guns as a logical way to answer questions you don't understand, blasting hannah montana tunes while cleaning, always having glitter on your clothing that they are known for is enough to make them as good as original. a quick google search shows that their fans call them charismatic, but internet trolls think they’re more oblivious. i guess their newest interview for variety where they talk about how he still has never watched the original one tree hill series will let people to know them better.
𝐢. 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲
kevin ball, shameless + jason stackhouse, true blood + steve harrington, stranger things + joey tribbiani, friends + luke dunphy, modern family + jason mendoza, the good place + ron weasley, harry potter.
𝐢𝐢. 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝
born to a soccer player father, who turned coach and stay at home mom, tobias lived cozy but not spoiled. both of his parents, despite having a lot of money in their pockets, refused to allow their son to grow up to be someone that relied heavily on money and expecting things to be handed to him
high school football was something that he signed up for the moment he saw the papers. despite this, tobias didn’t let the popularity go to his head, which was thanks to his parents for keeping him humble at a young age. tobias became ’the nice jock’, where he made sure that everyone around him was included. with senior year approaching, he knew that talent scouts would be hiding in the bleachers and he refused to let anything cause him to slip.
acting accidentally fell into his lap post-high school after appearing in a few short films and movies, having a background role and a few one liners. while also attending college for business (a degree he would never use in real life), he continued to do some movies, while also being a frequent in reality tv with his first serious girlfriend being involved with the cameras.
(pregnany tw) at the ripe age of twenty five, after a drunken night full of self pity due to a break up to someone he fully thought would be his forever person, he got into bed with his best friend, simply as a distraction on both of their ends. days passed, then weeks, then the little plus sign decided to make itself known on the pregnancy test, changing not only his dynamic with his best friend but with many people around him.
despite the fears, fatherhood fell into his lap and he picked up the label without fail. able to change a diaper in under a minute, reasearching how to tell what cry meant what and willing to get up during the night to tend to their daughter; co-parenting remained stressless, both of the best friends having a bond prior to this situation and only flourishing as closer friends as the time went on.
coming back into acting full force continues to be exhausting, especially since he took a hiatus after the birth of brooklyn. the role of jake spoke to him, solely because of the similiar backstories (without the shitty baby mama), and the role was handed to him on a silver platter by the casting directors.
𝐢𝐢𝐢. 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
quick-witted : not the type to fully grasp a joke the moment it's provided, toby is still able to make his two-cents known with his ability to be quick on his feet when the topic at hand is to his understanding. with a sarcastic tongue he learned from best friends and growing up in the industry, he's capable of making a few zingers without having to hold up a reputation of being someone that is always on the ball with jokes.
emotional : not to be confused with sensitivity, toby feels every emotion to the max. if he's sad, he will make sure everyone knows by shedding a tear or two, and is known to scream from the rooftops when something positive happens. he is very exaggerated in his emotions, no matter which one it is, however his sadness teeters the line over to depression when something extremely detrimental happens (such as being out for a whole season because of an injury he worsened).
oblivious : more than likely the butt end of a joke, toby is rarely aware of what is going on around him and is oblivious to multiple emotions that come from other people. it's a rarity that he understands when someone is interested in him, and even more rare for him to accept that he's loved and adored by people he doesn't even know. there's been multiple occasions that he thinks someone is asking him to take a photo for them, not with them.
charismatic : although not the type to be intelligent in any means, he's charming without meaning to be. with a smile of pearly whites, an ability to stare into the person's eyes without moving away, having a listening ear and always wanting to do the right thing, he's definitely liked by many. it's just a bonus that he's an amazing father.

tag nine people you'd like to know better
I. favourite colours: This answer changes all the time for me. Currently my favourite colour is green, followed very closely by white and blue.
II. favourite flavours: Intense! If the recipe asks for 1 garlic clove no it didn't it wants the whole damn garlic — I love curry dishes especially, anything with strong flavour has my whole heart (I think that comes from a childhood of the saddest bland foods imaginable haha).
III. favourite genres: High fantasy, science fiction, horror, mystery. I think that sums up my general interests.
IV. favourite music: If it reminds me of my blorbos I'll listen to it. I have playlists on my phone so I can listen to character-inspired bops on the go. Ashnikko, AURORA, Cloudy June, Elle King and Stela Cole get honourable mentions. I also love soundtrack music. Final Fantasy XIV soundtracks by Masayoshi Soken are top rated, and I know I was once pretty obsessed with Ramin Djawadi's work on Game of Thrones.
V. favourite movies: The Lion King and The Mummy for nostalgic reasons. James Cameron's Avatar franchise for showing me what cinema could be. My favourite of all time is a tough one to choose, probably Princess Mononoke.
VI. favourite series: Beef, Brooklyn 99, Community, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Game of Thrones, Midnight Mass, Samurai Champloo, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Glory, The Haunting of Hill House / Bly Manor, The Last of Us, The Witcher.
VII. last song: ENDWALKER: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack — Flow.
VIII. last series: The Fall of the House of Usher. Carla Gugino is absolutely my celebrity crush.
IX. last movie: It has been so long since I last watched a movie, I think it was Barbie back in August of 2023. It was okay at best, wouldn't want to spend the money on a ticket if I knew what I was walking into. Disappointed because I thought it was going to be a silly little time from the trailers, it looked like something that would be fun and quirky with more humour in the plot (especially since it seemed marketed as something kids would love to come watch too) but its attempts at existentialism and feminist commentary fell flat for me.
X. currently reading: Nothing currently, unless RecipeTin Eats cookbook counts. Dinner by Nagi Maehashi has been an absolute winner for me.
XI. currently watching: At the moment I'm only really watching things on Youtube, specifically Charlotte Dobre and Gab Smolders.
XII. currently working on: The bigger and more meaningful things are weight loss and keeping up with a skincare routine. Next on my list is a new makeup routine but foundation is far too expensive for me to replace right now. I'm also finishing off abandoned videogames, I blasted through Breath of the Wild (and desperately want to chew on Tears of the Kingdom now) and I have Resident Evil 4 sitting there and taunting me.

✨ 2023 Writing Year In Review ✨
Dug up this format from last year because I love doing this every year.
1. Number of stories posted to AO3: 7 new fics, 1 updated fic, 1 playlist, and 1 updated collection of meta.
2. Word count posted for the year: 50,705, but that’s including the word count for my entire meta collection, which was actually written over almost 10 years. So more accurately it’s around 30,000.
3. Fandoms I wrote for: Brooklyn Nine Nine, Veronica Mars, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
4. Pairings: Most of the stuff I wrote is very genfic, but my b99 fic everything’s changed explore Jake Peralta’s relationships with the whole squad and focuses particularly on his relationship with his daughter, my OC Willa Peralta. I also wrote fics focusing on Charlie Kelly & Mac McDonald, Charlie Kelly & Dennis Reynolds, and a little bit of Charlie Kelly & Dee Reynolds. Oh and I wrote some Mac McDonald/Dennis Reynolds in my boyband episode fic!
5. Story with the most:
Kudos: into your lungs (the things you don’t trust) (B99) – 73 Kudos
Bookmarks: everything’s changed (but I feel the same inside) (B99) – 20 bookmarks
Comments: everything’s changed (but I feel the same inside) (B99) – 11 comment threads
6. Work I’m most proud of (and why):
I’m most proud of everything’s changed (but I feel the same inside). It’s the longest fic I wrote this year, but it’s also by far the broadest in scope. I’m proud of the way I handled the growth of Jake throughout the years. The structure of telling a story through vignettes over a long period of time is one I’ve used lots when writing b99 fic, and I feel like this fic is really the culmination of me honing this style. Although I may go back and write more b99 fic, this fic also feels like a farewell in many ways. It deals with Jake (and tangentially all the characters) moving on from the 99, and I’m really proud of the story I constructed for them all.
7. Work I’m least proud of (and why):
Out of My Depth (at a Public Beach). I like this fic, but I don’t love it. I feel like I didn’t totally get at what I wanted to about Dennis’ character. I like, but don’t love, the ‘waves’ metaphor. I wish I had more of a through-line of plot woven throughout the character study. But I still stand by all the character analysis in this piece, and it does have my favourite title from this year.
8. Share or describe a favorite review you received:
I got a lot of really lovely reviews on everything’s changed. I especially cherished the ones who told me they related to my fic in some way. A few people told me they saw their own experiences of having ADHD in my portrayal of Jake’s experiences. Those are about the most gratifying comments you can get. (I also always have to shout-out @impossiblyizzy, who always leaves really lovely comments).
I also got a comment from @musiclover2732 on Not Worth It, after he had listened to a song I said reminded me of the fic (Song in E by Julien Baker, particularly the line I wish you’d hurt me / it’s the mercy I can’t take). I was just so touched that not only did he go listen to the song I recommended, but also then read my fic AND commented about all of it. The best <3
9. A time when writing was really, really hard:
I’m so much busier nowadays! It’s much harder to find time to write in general. It just means that fics come a bit slower than they used to. And I’m not sure when I’ll write my next longfic. I do want to tackle something longer, but maybe not next year either.
10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you:
I didn’t know I was going to get into Always Sunny this year, so writing my four IASIP fics was a surprise! Although I did know that I was gonna write angsty fanfic once I started watching the show. It just has all the things I love (sitcom that is funny on the surface but super angsty if you take it seriously). And then my first Always Sunny fic has some CharDee subtext to it, which was even more surprising because that’s not one of the ships I tend to be drawn to (although I am super multi-ship about this show).
11. A favorite excerpt of your writing:
From everything’s changed (but I feel the same inside). Spoiler warning this is the end scene:
"I've read your books, you know. I'll be excited to be able to own them in hard copy."
It takes him a minute to properly process her words. Janine isn't here to see Willa. She's here for him. "You….I…I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything."
"You're the reason…when you were so kind to Willa in second grade and then so kind to me when I came in for the parent teacher conference…you stopped me to talk after…I had quit the NYPD and I didn't know what I was doing and I…that was kinda the beginning of my writing…and I do have ADHD. And a MFA. Lots of letters now! But what I'm trying to say—"
"Jake, you don't have to explain it all to me." She cuts off his rambling. "Let's just go in. Willa said there would be cake."
Usually, it would drive Jake crazy not to be able to explain himself to someone. But Janine Baker seems to have a knack for just understanding. So instead he just holds the door open and follows her down the hall of the centre towards the multipurpose room.
The community centre floor has been painted to look like a garden pathway, so that as they walk down the hall, they follow a painted cobblestone path with colourful flowers sprouting along the edges. It all reminds Jake of something that he thought years ago, back when the kids were young, before he was a writer, when he was first researching about ADHD. He had thought that maybe there was another path. At the time, it was a hypothetical thought, an imagining of a future that could have been, but wasn't.
It wasn't hypothetical anymore. There were no maybes. There was a new path. And it had led him to publishing a novel, to finishing his college degree, to getting an ADHD diagnosis. It had led him to spinning legendary stories for Mac and Willa that they still reminisced about today, as adults. It had led him to discovering a love of the library. It had led him to learning more about himself.
And this path was only one of many. If Jake Peralta, ex-cop and college dropout, could become Jake Peralta, MFA and published author, what other iterations of himself did he contain, all wrapped up in one another, waiting to be discovered?
From I’m Just Like You (A Little Messed Up and Blue). TW: brief mentions of childhood sexual assault:
“Well maybe…” Mac starts and then trails off. Maybe you’re all messed up because you were molested as a child seems too mean to say.
“Maybe it’s because of like my childhood or whatever?”
“Yeah,” Mac says softly.
“Maybe,” Charlie says. He’s sounded near tears this whole conversation, but now they start flowing down his cheeks.
Every one of Mac’s instincts is telling him to find something to get Charlie to stop crying. Charlie crying is one step away from Charlie flying out of control. Charlie crying means it’s easier for the schoolyard bullies to shove him into a locker or steal his prized new comic book or kick him in the stomach. He wishes he could reach out and hug Charlie. Tell him it’s okay and he’ll find the perfect girl one day. But those are words and gestures for normal people, not for the two of them. Not for two forty-year old men with a failing bar and not a single successful relationship between the two of them.
Instead he says, “Maybe it’s just the way you are.”
He hopes it sounds comforting, and not like he thinks there’s something wrong with Charlie. Because, honestly, there are a lot of things wrong with Charlie. And not just the molestation. Or the alcoholism. Charlie’s…not like most people.
Charlie sniffs and wipes his face.
“Yeah,” he says. But he sounds a bit calmer. Mac feels the tension in his chest lessen a bit too.
“There’s nothing wrong with being who you are, you know,” he says again.
The words feel wooden in his mouth. Like he doesn’t really believe them, and maybe he doesn’t. Like maybe, even though God’s love is unconditional and He doesn’t make mistakes, He made a mistake when He made Mac gay.
“I’m glad you’re gay now,” Charlie says all of a sudden, completely sincerely.
It catches Mac off-guard. Charlie is so oblivious most of the time, but right now it’s like he’s seeing right through Mac’s bulging muscles and black cut-off tee and right into his soul.
12. How did you grow as a writer this year:
Last year I felt like I grew a lot. This year I feel like my growth was less noticeable, but still there. I think I continued to work on how to tackle themes in a fic with subtlety. How to write around an idea. How to take a theme and just leave it there for the reader to find instead of leading them right to it. I’m still working on it. I can be a bit on-the-nose as a writer (and part of that is just my style!), but I’m going to continue on working to refine my writing.
13. How do you hope to grow next year:
I still want to work on editing more. I still haven’t really done that. I hope I can tackle something a bit longer for Always Sunny next year. Otherwise, I want to just keep writing and reading and letting the experience of doing it help me grow as it always does.
14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc):
@impossiblyizzy as always, my sometimes-beta and always-friend <3
Also everyone I’ve met through Always Sunny in the latter half of this year who have commented on my fics or interacted with me here on tumblr, you all know who you are <3
15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year:
Always. I can’t not write myself into my fics. I wrote about asexuality for the first time (shocking it’s taken this long) in Hey I’m Just Like You, because I have such a strong conviction in my ace!Charlie headcanon. There’s a lot of me in that fic.
Also, and this might be a little too revealing, but there’s a fair bit of me in the two Dennis fics I wrote. (Always a humbling experience to see yourself in Dennis Reynolds).
Finally, I think I was so drawn to writing everything’s changed because the themes of growing up and moving on and finding new routines and hobbies and interests. I think I was (and am) in a place of moving onto the next ‘stage’ of life, so-to-speak, and so even though I am much younger than Jake in that fic, the themes resonated a lot. (I’ve also spent a fair bit of this year reflecting on how my own brain works and how that impacts me, and that’s also a big theme in this fic with Jake figuring out he has ADHD and reflecting on his experiences).
16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:
Above all, writing should be fun! This is a hobby for us, and it should bring you joy! Write the same tropes over and over (just look at how many hurt/comfort elements are in the fics I wrote this year). Write short fics. Write obscure fics. Write non-shippy fics. Write whatever you want. The audience will find it, and even if they don’t, you’ll enjoy the process of creating it.
Also, don’t get sucked into any fandom drama. (And yes commenting as an outsider on said fandom drama is part of getting sucked in). It’s never worth it in my books.
17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year:
I’ve been tossing around the idea of an Always Sunny fic I’ve been called The Gang Gets Better, which would be a look at what it would take for each of the characters to grow, learn, and/or heal. I think I would maybe do a different (hypothetical?) scenario for each character. But it’ll be a lot of work, I think, to do it justice. So we’ll see if I get to it. I may have to take many liberties with how social services and systems work in Pennsylvania if I don’t want to end up down a months-long research rabbit hole.
I’d also love to get around to writing another chapter of Under a Blood Red Sky this coming year.
And I still have a 1D hockey AU kicking around (and now plotted!), so maybe that will see some light this year?
Or who knows? I always tend to surprise myself with what I end up writing!
18. Tag some writers whose answers you’d like to read.
Tagging anyone who would like to do this!
(@quelsentiment you tagged me in this last year, do you wanna do it again this year?)

My discord is eleanorewinchester but if that doesn’t work feel free to like this post or shoot me a dm :).
Ballad of SongBirds and Snakes
The Hunger Games
Supernatural ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gilmore Girls
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Teen Wolf
The Vampire Diaries
The originals
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Superstore
Bridgeton/QC
Those are the above fandoms. I do belong to more but with fall approaching I’m craving some romance, angst and drama so I’d love to stick to the list above! Please feel free to dm me if the above is anything you feel you might be interested in! I don’t bite and I’m a super friendly writer who’d love to make a few new friends.
