Pshh, hey. If you are in a budget or if you have to hide your practice, I have some witchy tips for you.

• You don’t need to have an altar. But if you want to, creating an altar on a wooden box is great; you can collect stuff to put in there and you can hide it under your bed.

• You don’t need crystals. Common rocks can be energised to act with a certain intention and they work just as well. You can also associate the place you got the stone/rock from with an intention, such as: a rock from a river or sea can be used for cleansing, purifying, taking energies away from you. A stone found at the property of a hospital can be used for health spells. These are vague examples, so I might make a list later on of all kinds of things you can do with mineral founding.

• Energised water is a great offering to most entities. Water holds memory and it’s easy to energise it with a certain intention if you concentrate.

• You don’t actually need candles. For many deities, an object that remembers you of them works as a taglock, an identification of the deity you’re worshipping. Besides, many spells do not need candles to work, such as: ritual baths, petitions, etc.

Have fun, and remember that your practice isn’t meant to look the same as other practitioners’. We are supposed to do things our own way, as long as it doesn’t harm anyone or anything.

Tools?

Shampoo- cleanses your hair of negative energy

Conditioner- restores/adds positive energy

Body wash- restores/adds positive energy

Scrubs- cleanses and removes negative energy

Face wash/cleanser- removes negative energy

Moisturizer- protection, restores positive energy

Sunscreen- protection

Lotion- depending on scent, it can help with plenty of things

Rose- love, confidence, self-love, beauty

Lavender- calmness, peace/self-peace, self-worth, comfort, soothing

Vanilla- self-love, confidence, attracting good energies

Coconut- protection, purification, chastity

Contacts/eye drops- insight, wisdom, to see what others can’t

Hairbrush- negativity remover

Mascara- to see what others don’t tell you

Lipgloss/lipstick/lip stain/chapstick- to speak smoothly and clearly, to have a way with words, to improve your voice

Toothpaste and toothbrush- cleansing, to help watch your words

Tongue scraper- to get rid of past regrets from past words, to stop gossiping

Concealer- to conceal what others should not know/what you do not want them to know

Foundation- protection

Setting spray- calmness, peace, good luck

Nail Polish- match them to your intentions!

Purple- intuitive needs, spiritual needs, imagination, creativity, third eye, wisdom, peace

Pink- love, harmony, kindness, self-love

Red- love, lust, seduction, confidence, courage, sex, motivation, ambition, passion, strength, action

Silver-moon energy, emotional needs, reflection

Green-healing, wealth, growth, money, luck, fertility

Brown- grounding, friendship, security, material needs,

Blue- clarity, creativity, faith, forgiveness, communication, calmness

Orange- joy, energy, success, optimism, excitement,

Yellow- happiness, clarity, creativity, manifestation, strength, positive thoughts, sun energy, good health

Black- protection, stability, banishing, releasing

White- purification, peace, purity, truth, hope, cleansing

Cuticle oil/hair oil- growth, improvement, new beginnings, letting go

Hey witches,

Just so you all know, you don’t have to use special candles in order to practice witchcraft. I use candles I get at Bath and Body Works quite often, like a rose one I have. I light it when I take self-love baths and it’s super powerful. Even if it’s the only thing you have, it’ll work!

As a broom-closet witch I have had to think outside the box to practice things, and this is just one of the things I’ve done.

Another example of something unsuspecting would be a moon water and salt spray. You don’t even have to add the salt if you don’t want to! This is a great idea because it’s powerful, and if someone sees it and asks what it is, you can tell them it’s just water to wake you up, water to mist your plants, water to dust with…etc. Of course that’s only if you don’t add salt.

Either way this will be a great cleansing and protection spray for your room. If you don’t add salt you can spray it on yourself as well. I am always using mine and will spray it more at my door and window, and it helps so much!

I hope this helped! It’s great for Spoonie witches too! I love that when I’m not able to leave my bed or room, I can still spray it.

Hello internet witches!! I’m not exactly in the closet per se, but I am fairly private about my practice. I also work with multiple deities closely and wanted to way to wear something for all of them at once. Anyway my solution to this problem was to make beaded devotional braclets with colors I associated with my deities. You could get more elaborate than I did even.

Soap Cycling

Get yourself a regular reusable soap dispenser typical for hand washing and whatever refillable soaps you prefer.

Each time you refill you can add your own essential oils and skin safe herbs and spices (or make a tincture/tea out of them before adding so people don't see floating herbs). Whatever you want to have more of in the home for the family or whatever energies you want to stay is your aim when adding the mixture.

For example: orange and coconut essential oils to protect what happiness we have and sea salt to cleanse unwanted energies. Mix it into your refill bottle and done. You have a reusable, easily accessible discreet spell

new protection blend for low spoon witches (or anyone really)

Okay so you know how we can use eggshells for protection? And that you normally store them some variation of broken up?

Well I tried to put some of mine from breakfast in the coffee grinder....only to realize there was some coffee bean grounds in it. Now we also know that coffee can be used for grounding, and to make whatever you put it in (potions) more potent.

So naturally my chronically low spoon ass had a lightbulb moment and realized that this could work very well together.

So my point is save your spoons. As long as everything is shelf stable who the hell cares. Bonus points if it makes something stronger. Happy witching!

These are the first two books I bought when I first started mr practice, I highly recommend the smaller book “The Book Of Shadows” as there are more beginner things in it (although it does have “black and white magick” which I do not agree with the terms, but still helpful tips and spells!), but I do recommend both of them as they both have easy spells and charms you can do as a broom closeted witch or Wiccan! And they are also very small and thin books, and also don’t pop out and yell “WITCHCRAFT” all over the cover:)

Cd/Dvd as great warding tool

I was having an autistic moment and I come with the realization that a cd or dvd are AMAZING AND CHEAP WARDING TOOLS! Let me explain...

The inner layers of the basic discs (cheap one side DVD and almost all the Cd’s) are usually made of aluminum. For double-sided DVD-ROM discs, the semi-reflective layer contains gold and silver alloy.

Now let’s remember some facts about metals (more in this post)

Aluminum, associated with Saturn, reflects incoming energies and makes the perfect base for magic mirrors, works as magical protection, and great to soothing energies.

Gold, associated with the Sun, brings good luck, protection and against robbers, protect childrens, is great against harm and curses, and especially the evil eye.

Silver, associated with the Moon, is the representation of truth and trust, great to cleansing, is a metaphysical reflective metal, so can reflect negative energy and help prevent psychic attack, great as hex-breaking, and protection.

All of them are reflective metals, so a cd/dvd can have a combination to until 3 different reflective metals. This what means? Protection! Protection af!

But there is MORE. The round form with the hole in the middle is a perfect representation of the Sun.

You know what have that symbol too? The Nazar amulet.

Even MORE! The iridescent reflections not only reflect the light, but it do it in all the ranges of the visible spectrum, so instead to reflect white, it reflects each single color from the rainbow, in all the scales.White is know to be a protective color because it encapsulate all the colors, but a cd/dvd do it in the opposite way, blasting ALL the colors as a shield.

So instead a big white heavy shield, you have a colorful shield with an arrow to each enemy (?)

Even MORE... What if you do a nice protective sigil with water on it (in the plastic side, please, or you will rust the metallic side)? Or paste a sigil in the back!

Next time you think in throw that old useless cd with the lame songs of 1998, keep it, because you can have an amazing amulet to hang in a window, or the rear-view mirror (plus is great to witches in the closet, “is just a pretty cd, mom”)
