September 2023 Plant of the Month for Broomfield Colorado area landscapes—Wall Germander, or Teucrium chamaedrys is a species of plant that is native to the hotter and more dry parts of Europe and North Africa. It is a member of the mint family, but is not nearly as invasive as mint. It has a nice smell when the serrated leaves are crushed, is extremely attractive to pollinators, and may try to stay evergreen during warmer winters in our Broomfield Colorado landscapes.
