Do y'all ever just think about how Jimin takes care of Jungkook and feel super soft so you write a hundred something pages worth of a fic with them as Brothers and Jimin raising Kook with the rest of BTS' help and then your hyper obsession moves on and you forget about it for two years but then you're moving to a new country and decide to scan all your old writing and find the fic and fall right back in love with the mess you wrote and forgot about so long ago and now want to write it again?

It’s honestly sad how you didn’t even add Jimin to the Jungkook acting like a hyung when not too long ago he comforted him on stage while he was crying and always makes sure he eats well. It’s sad because Jungkook spends so much time with Jimin, cares about him a lot and even said that he is the member who knows him the best but you act like he/their bond doesn’t exist.

I really dont know how to reply to this. because you probably have not known me since I made this blog cause you would know how much I love jikook. I have so many jikook compilations. even though I dont ship any members romantically I have always loved this brotp. and I know that moment. and I think you did not notice, (it’s alright) but I rarely edit fancam and I never edit fancafe content either. the time I edited some fancam was when my friend asked the owner if I could edit it. but she was very busy with bangtans concert that I did not want to bore her. in my set there are many moments that I left out because I’m very busy but even so I wanted to post something for my friend’s birthday. I made this set at dawn and I was very tired. so I just added moments that I remembered at the time. but I really want to do something special for jikook. I have this series that I do compilation of my favorite bangtans brotp things and I still have not done jikook because I dont know which jikook thing/moment I like the most. and it may sound kind of weird? but some people think that namkook is my favorite brotp now but it is not (jikook, minjoon and vmin are my fave brotps, I even made a post when I started to love minjoon brotp). I like to make set for my biases together (and I find jeongguks admiration for namjoon sooooo beautiful and precious). I wanted to show you all my jikook compilations but the colourings look so ugly that I’d rather you dont see lmao. and I know you tried not to be rude but I was sad when I read your ask. :c

Minjoon, 16, “If you want, we could go together?”

When the phone rings, Namjoon’s caught in the very involved and arduous task of chucking a tennis ball into the air so it just grazes against the ceiling and catching it before it gets the chance to smack into his nose. Of course, when the phone rings, he becomes momentarily distracted and ends up with the ball smacking into his forehead and he swears he sees stars for a moment.

Grumbling, Namjoon fumbles for his phone and pulls it up to his ear, his free hand gingerly rubbing the space the ball had hit. ‘Hello?’

‘Hyung!’ Jimin’s voice on the end of the line, full of so much excitement that Namjoon temporarily forgets about the pain blooming across his face and even allows himself a grin. ‘Hey! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow? My dad gave me the day off work and it’s been ages since we properly caught up.’

A month, two weeks and four days, if you don’t count that one party they went to a couple weeks ago where all the socialising that happened was Namjoon throwing up on himself in the most mortifying manner imaginable. Not that Namjoon’s counting or anything. Not that he hasn’t spent the majority of summer break working on music, hanging out with the likes of Taehyung and Hoseok and grinning every time he got a text message littered with emoji’s from Park Jimin.

So of course, Namjoon wants to say yes, he’d love to say yes, but prior arrangements have been made against his will and changing them would likely result in his early death.

‘I can’t,’ Namjoon mutters. ‘I have to go with my sister to see a movie. She got asked out by a boy in her class, I’m playing the minder.’

‘Jesus,’ Jimin says. ‘Your parents are that concerned?

‘Oh yeah. Scarily so. I remember on my first date they interrogated the guy so bad, he made some bullshit excuse and left. My mum made the girl I went to my first dance with cry.’

‘Holy shit,’ Jimin laughs as he says it, and Namjoon feels his own lips twitch in a strained grin. ‘What do they think is gonna happen?’

‘Heart break,’ Namjoon says, counting it off on his fingers, ‘inappropriate touching, some Bonnie and Clyde bullshit, pregnancy, fucked if I know, honestly.’

‘Pregnancy,’ Jimin deadpans. ‘Your sister’s thirteen.’

‘Thirteen year olds can get pregnant,’ Namjoon shrugs. ‘So yeah. Sorry, man.’

‘It’s cool. What are you going to see?’

‘Some animated film. I don’t know.’

Jimin hums on the other line. ‘Animated films are kinda cool.’

‘I guess.’

The line falls silent for a moment and Namjoon wonders if he’s meant to hang up now, or what’s keeping Jimin from doing so.

‘If you want,’ Jimin says, slowly, as if testing the waters. ‘I could go with you.?’

‘Yes,’ Namjoon says, far too quickly and his face blooms crimson. ‘I mean, if you want. It might be lame.’

‘Better than wasting the day at home by myself.’

‘Taehyung is probably free,’ Namjoon blurts before he can stop himself and this really is not the time for his self saboteur streak to make an appearance. ‘He’s always free, you could probably hang out with him if you wanted to.’

Stupid stupid stupid.

‘Do you not want me to come?’

‘No! I mean, yes, I want you to come.’ Namjoon is gonna throw himself out of his bedroom window to spare himself from this self inflicted slow torture. ‘I just don’t wanna pressure you.’

‘I’m not pressured,’ Jimin says. ‘Do you want me to invite Taehyung, seeing as though he’s free?

There’s a crooked sort of amusement underlying Jimin’s voice and Namjoon has the sneaking suspicion that he might just be being mocked by Park Jimin.

‘He talks throughout movies,’ Namjoon says with a lot more tact than he thought himself capable of.

‘So just you and me?’ Jimin asks, voice too conversational and Namjoon knows something’s up now. He wonders, at the very back of his mind, if Hoseok has said something to Jimin. Something Namjoon told Hoseok in utter confidence and regretted soon after because Jung Hoseok was a fucking gossip and no secret was safe with him ever.

‘Are you there Namjoon?’ Jimin asks.

‘Yeah. And. Um, yeah, in reply to your earlier question. Just you and me.’

‘And your little sister and her date.’

Namjoon swallows. ‘Yeah.’

‘A double date then?’

Hoseok told him. The bastard fucking told Jimin about Namjoon’s little crush and now he knows and Jimin is teasing him.

Hoseok wouldn’t have had to say anything, a voice in his head says. Your heart eyes are not exactly subtle Namjoon and the drunken cuddling at Taehyung’s eighteenth probably would have sparked some realisation.

‘Namjoon?’ Jimin almost sounds concerned now.

‘I’m here sorry. It’s a double date. Yes.’

‘All set then,’ Jimin grins and Namjoon’s heart might just flutter imagining Jimin’s bright grin and he kinda wants to kick himself. ‘Pick me up tomorrow?’

Namjoon nods before realising Jimin can’t see him. ‘Sure.’

‘Okay. Bye Namjoon.’

The phone clicks off and after staring in astonishment at the ceiling for a good five minutes, Namjoon rolls onto his front and buries his face in his pillow, grinning like an idiot.

why minjoon works (otp/brotp)

this was not what i intended to write for minjoon, but i saw that new teen vogue bts interview and i just needed to word vomit. here’s a mash of minjoon thoughts in essay form –– shoutout to mini moni anon <3 tysm for requesting something from the sloth of the century:

in comparison to the other members, i feel like jimin in particular can be extra attentive to namjoon’s darker, more vulnerable side. this interview is a good example of jm’s sensitivity: the first question asks the members what kind of person they think nj is, and yg/jk/jin give kind of general, lighthearted answers (which ofc, may also just speak to their interviewing style). jimin’s answer, however, is rather serious: “in fact, [namjoon] gets hurt easily.” this interview was conducted in 2013, debut era; despite having known jimin for the shortest time among the members, namjoon mentions later on in this same interview that he considers jimin a confidante among the younger members. they clearly meshed early on.

(partial tangent: in his individual interview for the same magazine, jimin is asked to compare the members to non-humans – side note, most of the members included humans in their lists?? idk if it was a communication error or what but LOL. anyway i find jm’s answers really interesting in general bc they’re so metaphorical, but in regards to minjoon, his answer for nj once again seems deeper + more serious in comparison: “a lion that even if you catch it, it breaks everything and escapes again.” imo under that familiar ‘god of destruction’ joke is something like admiration for nj’s inner strength as a person. to me, it’s another sign of jimin being quite in-tune with nj’s inner self!)

i think nj has also said on multiple occasions that he and jimin are quite similar – here’s an example of nj saying he and jimin share the most in common, thoughts, feelings & personality-wise, and this is so! interesting! because nj is very much an introspective/sentimental being and jm strikes me more as someone who dwells less and mostly lives in the moment. yet i guess that may be why they work well together? nj is also someone who seeks answers, and jimin, as someone who actively, often physically, works towards achieving satisfaction must help pull nj out of his internal cloud from time to time. that nj said jimin sometimes feels like he’s 10 years older is really eye-opening for me; i remember i said in another analysis that jm would benefit from someone who can help lift his insecurities, but i think his ability to simply work hard to improve can be inspiring for someone like nj – someone also critical and insecure about himself, but who mostly deals with those issues through thinking and likely overthinking.

on a lighter note, jimin is extra mischievous/playful with hyung-ln – he’ll purposely act up (i.e. be cute) and then run away, and he seems to do this a lot with nj, maybe because nj’s the leader and has to wear the eloquent, ‘leader’ persona, and jimin loves to challenge it? (and because i’m sure jimin is aware of how cute nj thinks he is, it’s a soft spot that jm takes full advantage of) i also think it could be jimin subtly giving namjoon a supporting nudge, like “remember me? you’re not alone” – especially since namjoon being emotional always seems to get jimin emotional too (just one ex.) .... idk maybe i’m just a cheeseball ;;;;

at any rate i believe this thesis is ready to be submitted for review, so i’ll be off /
