Another year is almost over, and what a year this was for the Drarry community! This list is a “thank you” to everyone’s continuous patience and support during my recent break. I considered not doing anything but in the end I got some free time and didn’t have the heart to break tradition. So here it is, my last reclist of the year showing I’ve actually read A LOT in the first semester alone lol. I did my best to include different tropes and lengths, popular works and hidden gems. As a side note there are no Erised works in here, as the fest is still going on and authors are yet to be revealed. Classic disclaimer goes “pls mind the tags, this is not intended as the ultimate reclist etc etc.” It’s a personal selection based on my tastes and preferences; the idea is to celebrate these fantastic works and their beloved creators. This fandom keeps on giving and I’m so happy to be part of it. Enjoy, give these some love and see you next year!🥂

Trust SS to come back from a writing break with this banger, holy shit. Brilliant concept, perfect execution. I can’t believe this is only 1k, there’s so much build up and details I wanna learn more about. This tender and urgent apocalyptic AU will steal your heart with perfect vibes and the softest flower shop romance.

Rosie never fails to blow my mind with her creative mind and brilliant sense of humor. This is the perfect bite-size snack, hilarious and so very sweet. I am obsessed with Draco & Pansy’s brOTP, their banter made me laugh out loud and we are treated with Drarry and Ginsy! Here’s your next read if you’re looking for something short, sexy and witty. You’re welcome 💅
Bright Side by @floydig (T, 2k)
Floyd is another master of short form and here’s why. This series of vignettes made my heart ache for these two broken boys finding their place - and each other - in he war aftermath. I’m impressed by how sharp, nuanced and sensorial this is. The heat! The humidity! Love the strong sense of place, it’s so intimate it feels like you’re intruding into something private and special.
Willing Blood by @lqtraintracks and @the-starryknight (E, 2k)
This iconic duo tailored a short yet intense creature fic dripping UST and gorgeous characterization as per. The way Harry and Draco are drawn by - and crave - each other left me salivating, I’m feral for their dynamics. Ultimate power couple vibes (reluctant Draco + fearless Harry make such a great match!) and great evocative 1st person POV.
The Mating Habits of Snidgets by @shealynn88 (G, 3.5k)
I can’t believe this doesn’t have more comments, such a lovely hidden gem. I found it when I needed a soft read before taking a break, and have been thinking about “am I your little bird, then?” since. Quidditch rivals to lovers is becoming my kryptonite and this story does a great job exploring what brings them together despite their social gap. The character development is so good this feels like a 30k story packed within 3.5k.

If you ever have to choose a dark!Harry fic to read, I urge you to go with this one. His klepto characterization is so damn lush and compelling I was half terrified half turned on the whole time 😔✌🏼Thanks to Crow’s masterful and addictive writing, there’s no possible way to resist his charm when it comes with razor sharp dialogue and sexy power dynamics. Come collect my jaw on the floor pls
No Distance by @skeptiquewrites (E, 4.8k)
Is it fair to include a sequel in order to make everyone go read this fabulous verse? Who cares, not me 🤷🏻♀️ Tee’s way of writing Drarry always leaves me aching for this kind of love. Their longing for each other is strong but unhurried, the dialogue is fantastic (the nose piercing exchange!) and the smutty scenes hit all my boxes. The characters feel so lovely, tangible and relatable as real people. I will never get enough of this verse, no matter when or where they are, as long as they’re together.
An Emerald In The Sky by @corvuscrowned (M, 6.6k)
My favorite read of the year - as you probably already know since I haven’t stopped screaming about it. My heart belongs to this breathtaking Draco, so full of yearning and melancholy, as he falls in love with time traveller Harry and wonders if they’ll ever get to be on the same page. The astronomy motif only makes it all even more poetic and devastating (but in a cathartic, hopeful way!). This hurts as much as falling in love and I wanna wrap myself in this fic and never let go.

Possibly the funniest thing I’ve read all year, which is not surprising considering flux’s inimitable brand when it comes to humor. This epistolary slow burn is light and creative and such a delight. I got immediately attached to the characters and giggled my way through Drarry’s banter; special kudos to Harry’s amazing crew and their perfect spot-on voices. An adorable comfort fic to be revisited at all times!
Witness Marks by @gryffindorhearts (M, 15k)
After so many excellent vampire fics this year, it’s getting hard to resist this trope. Here’s a quiet and atmospheric gem that made me fall hard for clockmaker!Draco. Such an original concept! I adore the lore behind his job, his strained relationship with Lucius, the way he’s pulled towards mysterious Auror Harry. Also- the flirting and sexual tension at the Tate Magique?!! Chefs kiss
Yours Truly by @skeptiquewrites (M, 15k)
It’s getting impossible to choose a Tee favorite, my god. Go check her brilliant microfics then come feast on this stunning take on fake dating, choke-full of light humor, found family feels and wonderful world building. Smooth pacing, phenomenal cast, have I mentioned Draco’s into magical ecology?! My favorite kind of slow burn, sweet, tentative, heartwarming and so damn romantic.
Take the Moon by @tackytigerfic (M, 15k)
The perfect kid fic exists and I can prove it! Nothing leaves me aching and raw open like Tacky’s Harry with his soft, gentle yearning for hot dad Draco. I’m so in love with his love, I could actually feel my chest expand with this series of incredibly tender and precious moments of friendship, complicity and domesticity many couples will never experience. Extra bonus points for the SEXIEST non-explicit smut and the brilliant commentary on the autistic spectrum, especially related to kids. My whole kingdom for little Scorpius 👑
With Hands Full of Dusk by @corvuscrowned (E, 15k)
Yes I’m proposing to Crow after posting this because I suddenly feel exposed with 3 recs 😳 hands down the best case fic I’ve read this year, I’m obsessed with Drarry as creature hunters and the suspense-y vibes here. The slow burn is mature and thought-provoking, heavy with a deep sense of loneliness and so evocative it hit me just right. This story is sharp but also strangely comforting, a perfect read for a rainy or foggy day. I wish I could bask in its atmosphere for the first time, over and over again.

I’m so happy I found the time to check this one fic from Fan Fair because this was a truly special read, surprising in the best ways and very cathartic. The gorgeous prose finds a perfect tone between sexy and contemplative bringing food, gender, racial and political discussions together in a coherent and powerful way I wouldn’t think possible for a 17k fic. Loved seeing Harry and Draco so open and vulnerable, experiencing who they really are together. Lush, powerful and healing.
Heartlines by @sorrybutblog (T, 22k)
One of my first reads this year remains a iota fave, this was so much fun and so charming. A delightful case fic combining sentient house, Auror Harry, smitten Draco, everything we deserve. The best thing is the surprisingly clever and charming humour, it made me giggle at the most unexpected times, giving the suspense a light tone I can’t get enough of. Despite the underlying tension, this will make you smile from beginning to end.
What Makes a House a Home by @writcraft (E, 27k)
The only Drarry fic Writ writes this year ends up being a banger, figures 🙌 honestly this is a masterclass in tension building with a gorgeous take on recluse!Harry and delicious slow burn. It was so cool to learn more about this Harry through Draco’s curious eyes, as the forced proximity pushes them together. Sexy adult dynamics and compelling characters, right up my alley!
At the Doorway, On the Stair by dwell_the_brave and @p1013 (T, 30k)
I love myself a good mystery fic and this was such a nice surprise, so very spooky and immersive. The author did a fantastic job creating an intriguing atmosphere while advancing the plot, I was at the edge of my seat trying to figure things out while falling in love with “ghost” Draco as he tried to help Harry along the way. Excellent slow burn and a gorgeous setting that will lure you in!
Eager for the Sky by @oknowkiss (M, 35k)
This list wouldn’t be complete without a classic 8th year and here’s my 2022 pick by this author whose talent and range blows my mind. This fic pulled me back from my fandom break quite violently; I ate it up in one night and was immediately taken by their Quidditch rivalry and achingly sweet romance. The Drarry journey is so very wholesome it filled me with wonder and nostalgia for my teenage years. Being the multishipper I am, the brief nod to Harry/Ron at the end was just my kind of extra treat!
Rush (For A Gap That Exists) by @sleepstxtic-drarry (M, 42k)
I never thought I’d get obsessed with a F1 AU but here we are. Another incredible ride that pulled me in with impressive, detailed world building and sexual tension so insanely electric it was hard to resist. Brilliant movie adaptation keeping the Drarry dynamics recognizable with sexy and complicated UST. I’ve also loved the interesting storytelling format and exciting twists which kept me at the edge of my seat.
Heal Thyself by astolat (T, 47k)
This fic requires no introduction, I imagine everyone has read it by now. Once again Astolat slaps us in the face with her superior storytelling skills, effortlessly building this rich and compelling magical healing universe told from this brilliant Draco POV. His arc is a triumph, his voice perfectly spot-on, sharp but charming, proud and bratty and competent in ways that made me very emo. This has become an instant Healer!Draco classic and has one of my all-time favorite characterizations. A masterpiece to be thought of - and talked about - for years to come.
Vis-à-Vis-à-Vis by @vukovich (E, 50k)
I wasn’t prepared for how immersive and exciting this would be, what a ride! The secret identity motif and case fic atmosphere got me immediately hooked, I couldn’t get enough of those perfect cat-mouse dynamics, the thrilling twists, the delicious pining and the intense, hot smut I deserve 🤌🏼 Vuk’s narrative voice is a delight, lush, full of personality and with an easy humor that makes this story even more surprising and remarkable.

Yet another charming creature fic I’ve read in one sitting, this has the most wonderful sloooow burn - with lots of tension and non-sexual intimacy - and some great world building full of interesting lore and political shenanigans about vampire & wolf verse that I found quite interesting. I’m fascinated by fashionista and prosthetic artist Draco, such a cool job idea! A refreshing take on “enemies to friends to lovers” with Bee’s soft & sweet trademark.
Meet Me at Midnight by @the-starryknight (T, 57k)
I’ve been in love with Starry’s work for so long, and they still render me speechless when a new fics comes out. MMM is the most creative and cathartic fic I’ve read this year. This jaded craftsman Harry holds my heart in his hands, and the impressive amount of world building and lore behind the Dreamwalker figure sets an enchanting atmosphere. The settings are vivid and immersive, the slow burn so very tender and romantic it left me aching. And Teddy is absolutely perfect which is a big bonus on my book since I love him so much. This is a heartfelt love letter to every creator out there struggling with burnout. Here you’ll find hope, healing, and resistance to start 2023 the right way.
The Trouble with Wanting by waldorph (E, 60k)
Draco fans, rejoice! Those who adore a convincing posh and quirky characterization need to check this brilliant rendition asap. Positively Slytherin with its mischievous charm, this is fun and sexy af. Love myself a good old Draco-centric story following his post-war journey until he finds Harry his place in the new order. The Silver Trio is an absolute delight and this smitten Harry instantly found his way into my (and Draco’s) heart. One of the best get together fics I’ve read in the past few years.
9 ½ Days by @magpiefngrl (E, 69k)
Technically I’m cheating since this is from 2017, but I want to take a minute to appreciate Magpie’s generosity and hard work finishing this even after going on a Drarry break. One of my all-time faves when it comes to canon divergent war fics, the flawless narrative combines an urgent and dangerous “on the run” atmosphere with the softest teenage love, gentle, charming and tentative. It was bittersweet to see their journey coming to an end but this adventure was so well done and the ending was so emotionally satisfying, I can’t rec it enough.

An epic Drarry romance mixing two tropes we all love: down & out Draco and magical creatures! This fic is very creative with a rich and detailed world building, and also many interesting and charming creatures. SS brings her tender melancholy trademark and an intriguing subplot involving Draco’s parents that I found very engaging. I loved this lonely Draco arc, his quirky personality and all the little things that make him strong and proud instead of meek and pitiful. Joy’s artwork is a masterpiece on its own and helps bringing this beautiful, magical universe into life.
A Case of You by @epitomereally (E, 97k)
This lovely reunion fic combines so many of my favorite tropes it felt like a special treat for me. Case fic, break up/make up, Unspeakable Draco, non-linear narrative, forced proximity, sparking sexual tension, what a feast! I found myself invested in both timelines, waiting for those beautiful, competent and stupid men to get their shit together and become the power couple we deserve. The pacing and character development are so smooth this barely feels like 100k, and have I mentioned how hot bossy Harry is? Oof!
In the Bleak Midwinter by @the-fools-errand (E, 105k)
Once again this author takes my breath away with another excellent, refreshing and exciting AU - this time based on Peaky Blinders - and I’m so impressed by the inventive world building here. Not only it expands to accommodate a huge cast, but also translates every little detail into the HP universe. Gripping narrative, clever plot, delicious enemies-to-lovers sexual tension and a heartbreaking Sirius arc that will hit you right in the solar plexus. You can’t go wrong with this author’s AUs, 10/10 recommend.
When Times are Dire by @aibidil (E, 130k)
I’ve been following this fake marriage epic since it first started posting and was super excited to see it being finished this year. Trust aibidil to do older!Drarry justice: their witty personalities, fond camaraderie and clever dialogue serve impeccable friends-to-lovers dynamics. I’m so into this brand of old couple domesticity and their exchanges with the grown-up kids are sweet and fun. Perfect balance of light humor, found family vibes, sweet romance and sexy times, this story has everything!

Mischief Managed by @maesterchill (E, 1.7k) - Harry/Sirius
Few things left me as emotional as this perfect gift that marked Em’s first (and maesterful! ha!) exploration of this ship. The way she grasped everything that hits me right in the feels is almost terrifying: it’s as if she looked into the most vulnerable parts of my brain and went “hmm tender devotion, idyllic aesthetics, foreplay, cute endearments, filthy wall sex, happy ending”👩🍳 and put together this light, sexy, fun and wonderfully hopeful smutty short that made me cry at the spot. Don’t forget to check the equally lush and self-indulgent sequel here!
Weather Warning by @sweet-s0rr0w (T, 1.7k) - Draco/Albus
One of the best, most refreshing takes I’ve ever seen on this ship, this is so very different from your usual age gap tone and vibe, and I’m here for it. I was immediately charmed by their voices and light yet charged dynamics, T-rated but still holding so much heat and promise. This short leaves a strong impression and will make you crave for more ;) it’s also the perfect way to be introduced to this ship, come along and satisfy your curiosity!
Coming Up for Air by @lqtraintracks (M, 2k) - Harry/Teddy
*sigh* the amount of times I’ve read and cried over this stunning Harry/Teddy romance... this fic means so much to me because it was written by the one who set the foundation for how I see this ship, my favorite rarepair ship, so many years ago. With an incredible amount of character and feeling packed within 2k, this has the flavor of mutual devotion I yearn for, and a tormented Harry being loved and seen by this wise, generous and understanding Teddy, as they find their way back to each other. It doesn’t get any better than this!
Like A Brother Would by @wolfpants (E, 5k) - Harry/Ron
Tent sex my beloved! Another rarepair master, Wolf delivers everything I love the most about this ship - the easy familiarity, the tenderness and quiet devotion, the shared understanding and delicious sexual exploration amidst war chaos. It’s painfully clear how much they care about each other. Hung service top Ron is a sight to behold and I wonder how such a short fic was able to convey the depth of their trust and connection. Oh, to be young and feel love's keen sting… *Dumbledore’s voice*
Green Light by @sorrybutblog (E, 6k) - Ginny/Hermione
I got obsessed with Ginny/Hermione very recently and this was my first venture into this ship - not gonna lie, it was so much more than I had expected. Don’t let the (deliciously hot and self-indulgent - as it should be!!!) smutty tags distract you, this has fascinating dream-like summer vibes and perfect characterization, with spot on voices and a light tone of mirth and freedom that made my heart smile. Living for the edging and the “no one’s cheating everyone’s getting laid” tags 💦
The Hollow by @wolfpants (E, 12k) - Draco/Remus
This ship had never even crossed my mind before and here I am, utterly obsessed with this verse Wolf created so masterfully. Poignant and devastating, this fic has such a compelling narrative. My jaw was on the floor as the story went on and both characters revealed their layers through sexy smut and heartbreaking melancholy. There’s so much nuance to them, so much yearning and pain bringing them together and informing their decisions. Trust me when I say Drarry and Wolfstar fans will also adore this!
Still the pine-woods scent the moon by @fluxweeed (E, 15k) - Harry/Remus
I rarely read fics featuring Remus but both Flux and Wolf decided to slap me in the face with hot daddy vibes, and who am I to say no? Hands down one of the hottest, most erotic things I’ve read this year, a masterclass in UST that had my heart racing in anticipation. Scorching smut and a mesmerizing Harry desperate to be seen and treated right. I love how easily they fit together, I was immediately sold on this rare pair. Don’t read this at family dinner kids, you’ve been warned!
A Life Worth Remembering by @writcraft (E, 23k) - Established Drarry + Severus
Never thought I’d read this triad with de-aged Snape but watching his delightfully stubborn young version trying to resist those hot daddies was way too satisfying. This fic surprised me in so many ways, especially in tone and characterization. I love how their dynamics are slowly established here; Severus’ POV actually delivers not 1 but 3 superb character studies and we get to see how loving Harry changes these two difficult men and brings them all together. A nuanced and adult portrayal of open relationships, this is a must read for anyone who’s into voyeurism intrigued by this triad.
just call this what it is by @queenscrown (M, 27k) - Harry/Draco/Theo
The softest poly fic you’ll read today, this 8th year triad was based on this art by @t4tdrarry and celebrates wholesome friendships and gentle healing. Harry, Draco and Theo come together first as friends then as lovers in such an organic, uncomplicated way I wanted to live inside this verse. Love their easy banter, Harry’s sass (!), his camaraderie with Hermione and the way she helps him figure things out. A sweet and comforting hidden gem that deserves more readers and love.

I’d never expect to find such a complete fic for this rare pair (which I admit I haven’t explored much), this was an absolute feast bringing together fascinating characters (love this badass Fleur!), politics and A+ family drama. I loved this deep dive into the Black family - so much angst, so much plot! Complicated and heartbreaking, this is a a wonderful exploration of trauma and a treat for any femslash fan looking for a nuanced and carefully developed romance that makes both characters justice.
Passion, Patents, and Pen Pals at the Ministry by yrfrndfrnkly and @violetclarity, art by @anaxandria-writes and @veelawings (T, 32k) - Hermione/Pansy
Easily my favorite Pansmione fic this year, this was such a surprising and refreshing story. The charming protagonists and clever development mixing dialogue and epistolary create a lively and exciting work universe at the Ministry. I felt immediately immersed in their routine None of that would work without the perfect supporting cast (meddling Harry is such a gem!) and the unique spice only an identity porn + epistolary combo can bring. Fun and refreshing, a must read for all femslash fans who are thirsty for good long fics.

Job: Criminal, I suppose? She doesn’t really have a traditional job. Instead, she’s spent most of her life stealing and then selling items to make a living. It even brought in more money than Arthur was making when he was alive and working.
Phobia: Thalassaphobia. She never learned how to swim.
Guilty Pleasure: Hooking up with problematic men. They oh-so-bad but oh-so-good in bed. Her own ex-boyfriend was a member of the Zhentarim, after all.

Alignment: Neutral Evil - rather selfish in her actions, yet will help others who are similar her.
Sins: Theft. Lots of it. Jealousy, coveting what others may have knowing she could never have it. Will usually say whatever pops in her head without thinking it through first, which gets her in trouble. Can be very self-centered in different situations (ex. she refused to take poison from Nettie at the Grove after she didn’t help the party cure their tadpole)
Virtues: Loyal to those she loves, almost to a fault. When able to, very much a “steal from the rich to give to the poor” type. Believes honesty is the best policy (unless your life is at risk, then lying to save yourself is acceptable). Family is also very important to her, especially her father, and she tried to make sure he had well over a years worth of gold before going on the run.

Other Ships: Hooks up with Rugan after rescuing him from the gnolls, which leads to an interesting throuple dynamic when they’re all in Baldur’s Gate.
BroTP: Surprisingly, she and Lae’zel get along swimmingly. Maybe it’s because they have similar personalities. She and Astarion also gossip about the drama between their camp companions, as well as tease each other over their romantic pursuits. Also apparently she and Shadowheart get along very well!
NoTP: Gale annoys her, but she also sees him as a powerful ally and a good companion. Thoroughly rejects any of his advances.

Hmm…I guess Asta x Yuno would be the main one, since I ship all the other OTPs as far as I am aware 🤔! Imo Yuno and Asta just work better as siblings, rivals, and best friends then as lovers. But if you like and ship them then I fully support you 🥰!
8 Have you received anon hate? What about?*
Yep I most certainly have unfortunately 😅. I have recived some anon hate from that very specific troll that shall remain nameless but who we’ve all encountered at one point or another. But I’ve also recived hate/dislike/dissappintment(?) for YuNeva and Neva in COTF (mainly because they wanted me to put Yuno x Mimosa together in that series), and then a random one from a anon about my headcanon for a Fire Force character which was really stupid 😆!
13 Unpopular opinion about XXX character?
Not sure if this is unpopular or not, but an opinion I have is that Yuno *needs* to struggle instead of being OP all the time. It won’t make him a bad/boring/or otherwise negative character, to me it would be like during the battle with Zenon. It would kind of show that, while he’s powerful, he still has a lot to learn and a lot of growth to show! But since we’re in the final arc I don’t think we’ll see that happen, which is a bit of a shame.
15 Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?
Hmm, that there are waaay too many battle and fight scenes. I get it, this is shounen which is all about battle after battle after battle. But…imo to make the manga and anime even better would be to show the quiet moments where we see the characters interacting and building up their friendships and relationships with each other like in the filler episodes of the anime! It would just make the series so much better, and would just be very nice to see!
21 What are your thoughts on crack ships?
Hm I enjoy crack ships, I even have a few myself such as MagLuck, Finral x Vanessa, Zora x Nebra, and Vanessa x Nozel to name a few! But to me, crack ships also have to make sense for me to enjoy them! For example; Magna x Luck makes sense to me, while I still prefer them as a Brotp, I have slowly come around to the idea of them romantically (thanks to my mutuals and followers 😆). They have a lot of chemistry together and you can see how much they love and care for one another! On the other side of that coin would be Zora x Nebra. The two have had no (?) scenes together, but I can see the “opposites attract” appeal in them (from their backgrounds, to their personalites, to even their color scheme)! While I don’t ship them as much anymore, I still enjoy them from time to time and see the appeal!

Hmm…i don’t know if I really have one in BC 🤔? Most of the characters I like tend to be popular because…I’m a boring person 😅? But I guess William? But tbh I don’t think he’s really unpopular, i know he is disliked because of the Elf Arc, but otherwise I think people like him. Maybe Fana? But again, I don’t know if she’s really unpopular…hm, I actually don’t think I have one…

24 Would you recommend XXX to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend Black Clover for it’s characters, world building and lore (what little bit we get of it 😭), and for just how undderrated it is! I honestly think people don’t really give it much of a chance, and because it isn’t like other anime where it gives you all or most of the information at the beginning, they immediately drop it and call it boring/stupid/insert some other insult here (although the ones that complain about Asta’s shouting and say he’s annoying; i get it. While I personally didn’t find it bothersome, i know others that did, so that complaint is very valid to me!). Black Clover is very much a slow burn series, so you have to give it time and have a lot of patience imo!

• Why I like them: so to me levi is a perfect man. i think he’s my favorite character of all time, not just because i love him so much but because i just genuinely love his character. to me levi is a hero, but in such a different sense of the word. i always say he’s not a cookie-cutter hero and i mean that. he has such a complexity about him and the juxtaposition of his personality is both fascinating and endearing. i think that levi has a very kind heart and is incredibly empathetic and his actions always show this side of him, however he’s also quite cold on the outside. he’s got this stoic, aloof demeanor and can come across as quite rude and crass. i don’t think it’s always intentional(although sometimes it is) but i think it’s just at the core of who he is. he doesn’t take shit from anyone and he’s not afraid to tell people how he really feels. being this kind of person while also having this incredibly empathetic heart is so different than most hero characters. usually we have golden retriever hero’s and though i like those too i think it’s refreshing to show that someone can be cold and not the most inviting but still have a good heart. you don’t have to be good with people, or outwardly the most kind to also be a truly good person and that’s shown so perfectly with levi, which is why i often talk about my hatred of people trying to “erase” his cold side. nobody is “perfect” which is actually what makes him perfect. he’s flawed and crass and can be a jerk to be frank but he’s also empathetic, kind, caring and genuinely wants what’s best for those around him. both things can 100% be true and i love that about him.
• Favorite episode (scene): i love the kenny fight a lot, i think even though we knew levi’s skill beforehand it just showed how truly great of a fighter he is and that he’s willing to do what’s necessary for the big picture. i also love his speech to armin after where he thanks him for being the reason everyone on squad levi lived. in the manga i love his entire talk with the scouts where he says something like “im fine being the one to murder people, because i’d choose the hell of people beating one another to hell of being devoured by titans” i think there’s a lot in the manga that gives better insight to him i wish was animated.
• Favorite season: season 3, we had so much levi and i love the entire kenny arc with the both of them. i hate kenny but it just gave a lot of more understanding about levi and where he came from and why he is the way he is.
• Favorite line: i genuinely can’t pick but the one that popped in my head is when he says “stay alive, and that’s an order.” because he’s kinda like don’t die you idiots cause he cares so much.
• Favorite outfit: GREY SHIRT LEVI SUPREMACY. also his short sleeve shirt in the manga with the little v neck.
• ОТР: me and levi of course.
• Brotp: probably isabel and furlan. i’m in the minority in that i didn’t really think he was like besties with erwin or hange.
• Head Canon: a million. one of my faves is that he won’t admit it but likes when you run your fingers over his undercut.

• Why I like them: satoru to me is kind of like the opposite of most of the “strongest” characters i see. more often than not these characters tend to be more reserved so what immediately drew me to satoru was how he has this carefree, goofy side despite being so incredibly strong. i liked that side and than i grew to really respect his character after awhile. i think what people don’t talk about enough is how layered he is, people want to pretend he’s not arrogant but he is…he’s cocky, he’s arrogant, he tends to look down on the weak like those are just true. but he also has this incredibly kind side to him where he genuinely cares about creating this world where what happened to his best friend doesn’t happen to his students. we see it when he puts yuji next to megumi’s dorm despite there being a bunch. like he wanted then to build a connection so neither felt alone. he says it himself, he wants to foster his students because he wants to be able to reset jujutsu society and their horrible ways. so anyone who says he doesn’t care doesn’t see him for who he is. he’s genuinely a very caring person, despite his arrogance. again multiple things can be true at once, people are complex. i think all the different sides to his character come together perfectly. he’s unique. also he’s quite lonely, being the strongest and that makes me feel for him deeply. they says it’s lonely at the top and that’s so true for him.
• Favorite episode (scene): him bodying the curses during the Shibuya arc, i fucking love that fight. also his training scene with megumi because it showed his serious side and that he’s actually a good teacher despite what people say.
• Favorite season: season 1 because despite that fight i love he than gets trapped and i hate it.
• Favorite line: “it looks like just being strong isn’t enough, i can only save those who are prepared to be saved” i love the insight it gives us into his character honestly.
• Favorite outfit: that figure that’s called like season 2 ending costume?? i love that outfit. i am super into the basic bitch out of men with jackets over a hoodie.

Got A LOT of requests for my cutie, Carlos- so here you go everyone! :)
Favorite thing about them: His wit and sass. He literally had me in tears laughing throughout season 3 and there are so many times his sass just works in the scene. He’s an absolute diva and he knows it, but his bluntness with the characters keeps the drama moving along. I would give anything to have a girls night where Carlos and I wear face masks, eat chocolate, and discuss our friends relationships. You couldn’t tell me that wouldn’t be the best night ever.
Least favorite thing about them: His sass/diva persona is a double-edged sword. There are a lot of times he comes across harsh or selfish when he wants his way. Determination is a great thing, but putting your friends needs below it (like the co-choreographer debocal), will leave you lonely and sad. I know he has big dreams, but sometimes he puts his needs first at others expense and it can come across as egotistical. I think this is a root to a lot of the Seblos issues- Carlos only reads how he interprets situations as correct, rather than putting himself in the other person’s shoes.

Something I expect from them season 4 (if applicable): I think the situation of Carlos at camp is going to get confused by Seb of Carlos cheating again. I think Seb will think the relationship is over (“we were on a break!”… if you know what I’m quoting, you’re the best), so he will date someone else. This will parallel the r*ni fight in S1, which gets us the Seblos song.
Random Headcanon: even if this never happens in S4, it is my personal HC that as a thank you for s2, Carlos helps Ricky write a song for Gina.
Unpopular Opinion: I don’t even know if this actually is unpopular, but I could see it being that way so I am putting it here. His line to Gina about “look around, there’s not really a lot of me here” has bothered me since it happened. I think things like being from multiple minorities is really important to address in shows like this, so I’m glad it was brought up. However, I think his timing/tone for bringing it up was bad because it read more as “my problems are bigger than yours!” rather than, “hey I get what it feels like to be lonely and how important choreography makes me feel like I stand out/have purpose”. Instead Carlos seemed defensive and was like “I have problems too!” So this caused Gina to cower and let him lead the dance number. He didn’t even say thank you or try to encourage her to still help him, he just was like “ok great!” And seemed like he was happy he got his way. IDK I guess this goes back to my disliked trait for him, because Gina in that moment probably just needed a friend and somebody to show her she didn’t have to suffer alone, but instead Carlos flipped the situation back on him and it seemed guilt-trippy. I wish they would have brought up his struggles in a different context or had him use a different tone/dialogue in that scene that didn’t paint him like that, is all.
Song I associate with them: The King by Conan Gray, Hand on Mine Megan and Liz, and I know it’s from the show (I’m trying to avoid songs from the show for this ask) but since he doesn’t sing it I’ll use it. But I think of him every time I listen to Born to be Brave; his talk with Mozzarella Stick and him being lifted by the whole crowd is burned into my brain so I see it whenever I listen to that song

I appreciate that she is a very resentful character. Zoe not wanting to view Connor as a good person because she was wronged feels so cool to me. She isn’t wrong, Connor likely abused her and she shouldn’t have to miss him because of societal expectations. Love her. Best girl.
Least Favorite Thing About Them
I think Zoe (especially in fannon) is played a bit too dumb. Given her reactions to Evan in early act one I don’t think she would ever actually fall for Evan. I really don’t like the you made my brother a good person now kiss me thing she has going on. I feel like she wouldn’t do that if she was a real person. I know she’s like 16 but…she clearly didn’t like Evan up until the end of YWBF. She rejected him after IICTH, she didn’t sing in Disappear, and I know she’s supposed to have her moment of acceptance that Connor “was a good person” in YWBF but it feels kind of forced. She’s smarter than to believe the lies imo and the fandom really ran with the idea of her being easily manipulated for quite a while

Just her <33 She’s like my favorite person. Sorry real life friends, Irene is my best friend and has been since I was twelve years old.
Really though, I actually enjoy her part of the story (ignoring the sequel). I love that she’s a weird old lady who invented dragon slayers and lives in a castle across the ocean from her daughter that she just assumes is dead. Fuckin amazing. She’s flirty. She’s really hot and she knows it. She’s traumatized as hell. Good for her.
least favorite thing about them:
This kinda goes for every woman in Fairy Tail, but I hate that she’s used for fanservice, especially in the sequel, but also how they changed some scenes in the anime to showcase her massive tits. Like really?? She’s better than this. Let her wear clothes. Please.
Also, I really love super overpowered characters, but for a lot of Irene’s attacks, pure plot armor was used to beat her. Like why is she able to summon a meteor? That part is so dumb. Just let her be an enchantress. It just feels weirdly inconsistent to show that she’s powerful. We already know she’s powerful. Whatever. I’m salty.

I would have much preferred Wall die by being outsmarted. I also really hate Laxus fighting Wall at all… I think it would have been so much cooler to give the Thunder Legion a better fight against them! Anyway, I don’t know how unpopular that is, but it’s all I have right now.

not even gonna touch the cheater alec debacle
this chapter was so good! so many things to get into, let’s see
it’s saddening to see how dampening the mallory situation became. magnus and max both went on anti depressants, alec’s not doing well either. max is mostly catatonic and can’t even take care of his kids properly. contrasting that with the present, or even just with chapter 1, and it’s awesome to see how much stronger the family has gotten and how alec’s choice kinda did work to give max his motivation back.
max still very clearly caring about david despite being deeply depressed 🥺
after this chapter, i have to (very) reluctantly agree with alec’s choice. max is a much bigger person than me, i would’ve been at least a little pissed when i found out, even if it had been 13 years
alec tucking david into bed and thinking of david as his son made me incredibly heartbroken 💔 alec still deeply cares, even if he shows it differently
david not knowing the house was under his name‼️‼️‼️‼️ honestly didn’t see that coming but it fits perfectly with max’s character

Your theory is correct. In the original plot, we see Max repeatedly coming to see David and begging to get back together. Like calling him all the time and hanging outside his apartment etc. I changed it because I couldn't see Max doing all that while also being depressed. but that's why we saw that one tiny scene of Max seeking out David even in his depressed state. also, in the original script, David (because of what i just explained) tries to get a restraining order against Max (which means Max legally can't come close to David) and alec finds out and he is like 'bitch wtf' and David decides to do the 'i'll take the kids so he'll hate me and never come near me' thing. i scrapped all of it because the current plot worked out just fine without all this additional drama. but yeah, to sum it up, David it did so Max would stop 'loving' him and David can have space to heal.

On thin ice
Kai and Anders stayed in Elsa’s cottage longer than they originally intended. Their conversation about Elsa transformed into one about their lives and then work so gradually they lost track of time. They took advantage of the peacefulness of the mountain to discuss a few things about their latest case.
“Are you sure it could work?” asked Anders after Kai suggested a new idea to get to the burglars.
“We're clearly not getting anywhere doing what we are doing so far. Let’s try something different.”
“You're right,” he agreed. “We’re clearly missing something.”
A bang coming from the other side of the house called their attention, and they turned to look in the direction of the living room. The sound had clearly come from inside the house, and Kai couldn’t help but tense. “Was that the door?” he asked in a lower tone of voice.
“I'll check,” said Anders, standing up in an instant and walking into the living room.
Kai followed his partner and saw there was a tall man standing next to the main door, looking at them as if they were the ones who had entered the house without permission.
“Who the hell are you?” Anders asked the man, and only then did Kai realise they were looking at the same man from the ID.
“I'm– I'm sorry, sir,” the man told him, clearly taken aback by their presence. Kai was sure the last thing he had been expecting was to find them in Elsa’s house. “I thought Elsa was here. I didn't find the spare key outside and I then realised the door was unlocked—”
At that moment, Kai remembered Elsa had given Hålkesen the green light to get into the house, for whatever reason, that morning. Retrieving his wallet was a good guess, now that he knew it was there.
“That doesn't give you the right to barge in,” Anders said as if he owned the place, and Kai smiled in amusement. It was clear his friend had already realised who the man was and he was simply trying to make him feel uncomfortable. Kai knew how much of a pain in the arse Anders could be when he set his mind to it. “Who are you?”
“I'm Marshall.”
“Hålkesen?” asked Kai, making sure he was who they believed.
Looking at him for the first, Marshall nodded his head. “Yes, sir.”
“What are you doing here?” Anders asked, partially annoyed by the fact the young man had decided to enter the house like that.
“I'm looking for—” Hålkesen began to explain but stopped himself abruptly. “Is Elsa here by any chance?”
Knowing his friend was probably going to mess with the boy’s head, Kai decided it was best to explain who they were and what they were doing there. “No, she isn't. She'll be staying at home for a while.” He extended his hand to shake Marshall’s. “I'm Kai, by the way. Elsa's father. He's my partner at the station.”
“Nice to meet you, sir,” Marshall shook his hand back. And only then did Kai notice his left forearm was bandaged.
“Sir,” Marshall said, nodding to Anders to acknowledge him too. “Is everything okay? Is Elsa okay?”
“She's okay.”
“That's good to hear. I was afraid something bad had happened to her.”
“Why would you think so?” Anders asked in a serious tone.
“Well, she didn't open the door and I– I worried, I guess.”
Anders nodded with a smirk. “You’ve got a good intuition, kid. Kai was just telling me about Elsa and an accident she had. Do you know anything about that?”
Kai turned to look at Anders for being so straightforward with Hålkesen, but part of him was glad he was saving him the trouble of being the one who interrogated him. He then turned to look at Marshal once again and noticed it was the third time he scratched his beard. To say he was nervous was an understatement. And Kai couldn’t blame him. As soon as he had set foot inside the house, two policemen had stopped him and started questioning him.
“No, sir. I don't.”
Kai could tell he was lying through his teeth and that didn’t set well with him. “She came home with a deep cut in her hand. I didn't think too much of it at first, but we were surprised to find blood all over the place when we got here.”
“You probably saw the blood when you came in,” Anders said. He didn’t like Marshall’s attitude one bit. “She must have lost a lot of it. It’s a good thing she decided to go to town.”
“The hand usually bleeds a lot,” Marshall said matter-of-factly, surprising both of them. “Going to the hospital is usually the best idea.”
“Would you like some coffee?” Kai offered Marshall. Maybe he could play the good cop since it was clear Anders wanted the other role.
“No, thanks,” Marshall said, respectfully. “I just came here to pick up my wallet.”
“We found one on the floor,” Anders said. “It's on the kitchen table.”
“Thanks.” Walking past them, Marshall entered the kitchen and grabbed the wallet from the table. He frowned when he noticed his ID was on the table. To Kai’s surprise, he picked it up but didn’t question them. “Is Elsa going to stay in town for a long time?”
“I don’t know. That’s up to her.”
Something told Kai that even though he was still trying to be respectful, the young man was annoyed by the situation and his vague answer.
“Did she take Olaf with her?”
“That’s actually why we’re here. We came to pick him up.”
Marshall nodded and put his ID back inside the wallet without a rush. “Well, I’d better go. Thanks for the wallet,” he said with one more nod in Kai’s direction. “And I'm sorry I interrupted.”
“Don't worry about it.” Kai wasn’t sure what to make of him. Even though it was clear he had lied to them, he couldn’t really stop the man from leaving and start questioning him. No matter how odd his behaviour was, he had nothing against him besides his unfounded paternal concern.
“Kai,” Anders said, calling his attention. He mumbled something he couldn’t understand until he pointed to the small room with his head. The tools.
“Wait, Marshall,” Kai said, stopping the mountaineer from leaving. “Are the tools in the other room yours by any chance?”
Marshall turned around and looked at him and then at the small room.
“You might want to take them home with you. Elsa might stay in town for a few days."
He took some time to think his response through, until finally he sighed and nodded. “Right. I forgot about those,” he said.
“Come with me. There are several boxes in the way. I can give you a hand.” Kai wasn’t sure if he had the right to put the blame for whatever had happened to Elsa on this man’s shoulders, but he was glad he had a few more minutes to talk to him and see if he could find out.
They entered the room and true to his word, Kai helped Marshall with his toolbox. There were several tools lying around and Kai noticed he was making a conscious effort not to use his injured hand.
“Say, lad. What happened to your arm?” asked Anders from the door, clearly intrigued by the injury too.
“I– umm… Just a burn.”
“Looks serious.”
“It isn’t,” Marshall said, turning his back to avoid looking at Anders.
“What happened?”
If Kai knew for sure Marshall had done something to Elsa, he was certain he’d be enjoying Anders’ professional pestering. But the man in front of him looked annoyed and tired. He had been nervous at the beginning, but the more they questioned him, the more his patience ran thin. And by the looks of it, he wasn’t patient by nature.
“A stupid accident with a kettle.”
But then again, Kai didn’t like the fact that he kept lying. His pauses, the way he avoided Anders. All of it were flags Kai couldn’t ignore. Making up his mind, he thought it was best to stop beating around the bush and said, “Let me ask you something, Hålkesen…”
Marshall picked the last of his tools up and looked at him.
“Were you here when Elsa hurt herself?”
Looking down, he pretended to check the tool in his hand. “…No.”
Another lie. Kai was getting tired of them. “No?”
“No, sir. I wasn’t,” Marshall said, sounding a lot more convincing, but not enough to fool them.
Anders' patience ran out and he spoke his mind before Kai could ask Marshall a new question. “Your tools, your wallet and your jacket are in the house. You’re a terrible liar.”
Kai rolled his eyes at Anders but decided to work with what his partner had just said. “Will you be kind enough to tell us why you’d rather lie than admit you were here?”
Marshall looked at Anders and then at Kai, unsure of what to say. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, sir. I wasn’t—”
“Stop playing the fool and tell me what happened the other night.” If he wanted to lie to them, then Kai felt no remorse questioning him. He could run out of patience too.
“I don't know what you're implying,” said Marshall. “Nothing happened.”
“What did you say happened to your arm?” Anders asked again. He had a smirk drawn on his face. There was no doubt he was playing the fool himself.
Turning around to frown at him, Marshall said, “I told you, it’s just a burn. It has nothing to do with—”
“Why do you keep lying?” Anders snickered. “It's a simple question.”
At his scornful laugh, something inside Marshall snapped and he threw the last tool inside the toolbox. He picked his things up and walked past Anders ready to leave. “I don’t have time for this,” he said as he exited the room.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Anders asked, not liking the man’s attitude. He followed him into the living room and Kai followed suit.
To Kai’s surprise, Marshall took the time to answer before he reached the door. “I'm leaving.”
“Hålkesen, if you leave this house I’ll have you arrested,” Anders' threat was serious, and Kai opened his eyes in surprise to look at his partner. Maybe Anders' annoyance wasn’t faked anymore.
“What for?” Marshall asked, standing his ground.
“Assault charges.”
“Right,” Marshall sneered. “Good luck with that.”
Kai looked at his partner to see how truthful he had been by his threat, and he didn’t like the expression he saw in his eyes. Wanting both parts to remain civil, he said, “I'd cooperate if I were you, Marshall.”
He was merely trying to convince him it was best to stay and talk like adults. But contrary to what Kai expected, Marshall slammed the door closed and turned around to look at him.
“I didn't assault Elsa!” It was obvious Marshall was seeing red at that point, but Kai didn’t acknowledge his anger.
“I just need you to tell me the truth,” Kai said calmly. “Were you here the other night?”
He was fuming. It was obvious he wanted to lash out at them, or at least tell them to fuck off, but he didn't say anything. And Kai wondered if that was for the best or not. Marshall was younger, taller and stronger than both of them. But a man who bottled up his anger ended up being a lot more dangerous than one who allowed himself to react.
“Marshall.” Kai wasn’t sure what to do if he didn’t cooperate. No matter how much Anders wanted to interrogate him, they had nothing against the mountaineer. Either he cooperated, or they were back at the beginning.
“Yes.”
Marshall’s answer was so low that for a moment Kai thought he hadn’t heard him correctly.
“Yes,” he repeated when he noticed Kai wasn't responding. “But Elsa made me promise I wouldn't say a word." He then looked daggers at Anders. "Can I go now?”
“No,” Anders said. And Kai wanted to smack him in the face. The boy was finally starting to talk. There was no reason to keep pushing him.
“I already told you—” Marshall tried to say, but Anders interrupted him.
“Will you tell us what happened to your arm?”
“Why are you so damn insistent about my arm?!”
Kai sighed when he realised Marshall was not doing a good job controlling his anger.
“Because you lied about it.” Crossing his arms defiantly, Anders waited for an answer.
If Kai had to be honest, he didn’t understand why his friend was being so insistent. He seemed more concerned about the arm than the lies Marshall had told them, or the fact Elsa wanted to keep Marshall's visit a secret.
“I promised Elsa I wouldn’t say,” Marshall repeated, as if that explained everything they needed to know.
Anders looked at Kai with concern and waited for him to say or do something. At first Kai wasn’t sure what was going on, but then it struck him. The arm, the lie, the puddles inside the house… Even Elsa’s guilt and sorrow. It all added up to one simple answer, and Kai felt like an idiot for not thinking of it sooner.
Fear nestled at the pit of Kai's stomach as he looked at Marshall's forearm once again. Whenever Elsa's powers reacted on their own, she had a hard time overcoming the guilt and self-loathing she felt after it happened. And now that Kai thought about it, it was clear that was the way Elsa had been feeling that morning. She was concerned about the way other people saw her. She wouldn’t smile, even if she tried. Kai was certain the guilt was eating her up.
Feeling a lot more apprehensive than he had moments before, Kai got closer to Marshall and asked, “what happened to your arm, Marshall?"
“I can’t,” he said, shaking his head. “I’m not sure what happened myself.”
“We know about Elsa,” Anders said, surprising them both. “If that’s what you’re worried about. You can tell us.”
“I promised Elsa I—”
Kai knew he was making a mistake by acting before thinking, but he couldn’t stop himself and asked, “did Elsa hurt you?”
Marshall looked down and drew in a deep breath. “I should go,” he said before he turned around to leave.
“Did Elsa hurt you?” Kai repeated. Even though the answer was obvious, he didn't want to believe it. Despite what Elsa thought, Kai knew she had more control of her powers than she gave herself credit for. There was no way she had hurt him, unless… Suddenly, the idea of Elsa using her powers to protect herself from a violent man came to mind, and Kai paled at the thought. “What did you do to her?!”
"What?!" Marshall asked as he looked over his shoulder.
"What did you do?"
Turning around, he threw his toolbox on the ground with a loud thud. “You want to know what happened?” Marshall asked, clearly furious at his accusations. “Talk to your daughter. Maybe then you’ll realise I’m not a cold-hearted bastard.” He ran his good hand through his hair as he breathed in and out. “I didn't hurt her. I would never hurt her,” he repeated, now looking at Anders, as if he wanted him to get the idea into his head too. “I only tried to help. She's the one who pushed me away.”
“I'm serious, Hålkesen—” Kai tried to say, but the mountaineer interrupted him again.
“While you’re at it, Bjorgman. Tell her I was worried sick about her.” He opened the door and turned to look at Anders once again. “Do whatever the fuck you want. I couldn’t care less about your threat.” And with that he left the cabin, leaving Kai and Anders standing in the living room, unsure of what to do.
When Kai finally made sense of everything he had said, he ran after him. “Marshall, wait,” he yelled, hoping he’d stop after everything that had happened. He called his name once again and hurried after him.
Under any other situation, he wouldn’t have followed him. But he knew about Elsa and he needed to make sure his daughter’s secret was safe.
“Could you please stop, Hålkesen?”
To his good luck, Marshall did stop and waited for him to say what he needed
Kai took a few deep breaths when he finally reached him and then asked, “have you told anyone what happened?”
“No.”
“No-one should find out about this. I need you to be honest with—”
“I haven't said a word, alright?” His voice was low once again, but Kai noticed he was doing his best to remain calm. “Elsa asked me no to. And no-one would believe me if I did anyway.”
Not knowing what else to say, and thinking it was best to let the man go once and for all, Kai nodded and thanked him.

As soon as he got home, Marshall slammed the door closed and threw the keys against the wall. To say he was mad was an understatement. He was livid. At himself. At Elsa's father. At Elsa herself. All the misunderstandings could have been avoided if only she had trusted him.
He wasn’t sure he understood what had happened to him the night of the accident. He couldn’t explain it, even if he tried. All he had tried to do was help her and then things had gotten out of hand. And, now, for some reason he couldn’t comprehend, he was suddenly the one to blame.
He had tried to remain civil with Bjorgman. He had tried to understand his point of view. He was a father concerned for his daughter’s well-being; and Marshall respected that. But the more he and his pathetic excuse of a partner insisted — the more they questioned him — the more he wanted to tell them to fuck off and get out of the house. All he had wanted to do was gather his things and make sure Olaf was okay. But instead, he had ended up fighting with one of the people Elsa loved the most.
He sat on the sofa and buried his face in his hands in frustration. Part of him wanted to scream, break things and forget about the whole ordeal. While the other wanted to grab the car, go to the city and knock on every door until he found Elsa. He wanted to see her. He needed to talk to her. And he hated himself for hanging up on her that morning. If only they had talked things through, they wouldn’t be in that situation.
He looked at the phone, determined to call Kristoff again and find out where Elsa was staying, when he noticed the blinking red light signalling a new voicemail.
He hoped it wasn't his mother asking him to run some errands for her. On a normal day he wouldn’t mind, but he didn't have the patience to explain to her why he was so completely out of it. He stood up and pressed the button. There were a few seconds of silence and he thought it was just an empty message when Elsa's low voice began to speak.
“Hi. It’s me…” The pause she made left her in evidence she hadn't thought her message through. The sound of her voice made him smile for just a moment and he wondered how she did it. How she managed to tame his temper like that. “I’ve been trying to call you — this shouldn't be this hard,” He heard her say to herself, her voice barely over a whisper, and he chuckled. “I don’t know if you want to talk to me or not. But I need to tell you that I never meant to hurt you.” He could hear the sadness in her voice and once again he felt like an arse for hanging up on her that morning. “I didn't want to push you away either. I just— I don't know what to do. Half the time I don’t know what I’m doing… I'm sorry. I’m so sorry, Marshmallow.”
The beep coming from the machine brought Marshall back to the present and he sat back down with a sigh. He still wanted to talk to her. But he saw no reason in calling Kristoff only to then show up at Elsa’s house late in the evening. Odds were her father was going to be there when he showed up, and then what?
Thinking more clearly about his options, Marshall walked into the kitchen and grabbed a beer. Maybe the best option was to stay in, drink for a while and then sleep his problems away. He could try to find a way to talk to Elsa the following day.

The restaurant Kristoff had chosen to pick up food from was full, leaving little to no-space for the people who were waiting for their takeaway orders. For that reason, Elsa regretted leaving the truck and following them into the place. The noise, the chatter, the heat that came from the kitchen was too much for her, and she regretted allowing her brother to pull her away from the comfort of her parents’ backyard.
“Elsa, are you all right?”
Anna's voice brought her back to reality. The queue had moved only a few centimetres, and Elsa felt like she couldn’t take it anymore. She needed some air.
"I'll be outside," she told her brother.
"Are you sure?" He said over his shoulder, knowing his sister didn't like being alone in the streets.
"This place's too crowded." And with that Elsa started to push her way out. When she was reaching the door, she heard Anna's voice call after her.
"Wait. I'll go with you."
Elsa turned around and held the door open for Anna with a sigh. Even if she usually enjoyed the girl's company, she wasn’t sure she could act normal around her that day. Anna had a way to mess with her head, even with the simplest questions.
Both girls walked a few metres away from the restaurant and stood next to a birch tree in order to stay away from the people using the sidewalk.
The coastal area in Trolheim was where the city’s commercial centre was located. On one side of the road shops and restaurants were situated, while on the other side, the fjord could be seen from a pedestrian street.
The streets were still wet from the day's rain and the neon lights from the shops painted the pavement around them. Elsa paid attention to the colours, the shadows and lights, and wondered if the people around them ever took the time to look at the beauty of it, or if she only paid attention to it after years of being secluded to a white room.
"You really can't stand crowded places, huh?" Anna said, distracting her from her pensive mood.
Elsa looked at her and shook her head. She really couldn't. Every year she tried to change that. She tried to overcome her uneasiness around crowds, but she never improved much.
"Don't worry." Anna smiled at her sympathetically. "It's more usual than you imagine."
Elsa wasn’t sure if it was true or Anna was simply trying to make her feel normal for a brief moment. Part of her believed it was the second option.
"You know, I've got the same hoodie," Anna pointed out, trying to start a conversation.
"What?" Elsa asked and then looked down, only to realise she was wearing Anna's hoodie. She had only changed her underclothes the night before, not realising Anna could show up during the day. She slapped herself mentally for letting herself be so distracted and risking Anna finding out she had gone to her house the day before.
"The hoodie," Anna said, unaware of Elsa's consternation. "I’ve got the exact same one. I think it’s as worn out as yours."
Her smile told Elsa she hadn't realised it was in fact her hoodie. And she thought it was best to play along. "Most of my clothes are worn out," she said, unsure of how to drive the attention away from the sweatshirt.
Anna's face turned red and she promptly apologised, surprising Elsa. "I– I didn’t mean anything by that. I meant that we probably bought it at the same time."
Elsa had no idea what had gone through Anna's head, but she nodded nonetheless. The sooner they stopped talking about her clothes the better. Elsa knew she’d need to find a way to return the clothes without Anna finding out, but the idea of meeting Idunn again made her anxious.
"Elsa, about the other day…" Anna said out of thin air, distracting Elsa from her train of thoughts once again. "I wanted to apologise."
"Huh?" As far as Elsa knew things were okay between them.
"On Saturday I kept pressuring you to…"
Finally understanding what she was talking about, Elsa shook her head and said, "it’s okay." With everything that had happened to her afterwards, she had forgotten about Anna's insistence to tell Marshall about her powers or about spending some time with her birth parents. If only she knew I'd done both things in less than twenty-four hours.
"I’m serious, Elsa. I’m sorry. I know your powers—"
"Not here, Anna." Elsa didn’t mind listening to Anna's suggestions. Half the time she found herself wondering what Anna would or wouldn’t do in her shoes; but she couldn’t stand when Anna talked about her powers out loud as if they were something normal.
"But I—"
"Please, just…" She looked around, making sure no-one was standing near. "Don’t talk about my powers."
"Sorry," murmured Anna. "I should learn to keep my mouth shut sometimes. Mum says I’m just like dad in that regard."
"Where’s Kristoff?" Elsa asked, hoping to change the topic and avoid talking about her powers or her birth family. She felt bad for being so harsh on Anna, but she didn’t trust herself to talk about those topics.
“There were some people before him,” Anna replied as she turned around to see the restaurant’s main door open and a group of people come out.
The people were loud, half of them were a little tipsy and they weren’t completely aware of their surroundings. After they almost bumped into them, Elsa decided it was best to leave before they or any other person touched her. She was tense and she was certain her skin was colder than it should’ve been. Not thinking twice about it, she crossed the road towards the fjordside.
“Elsa? Where are you going?” She heard Anna say behind her, but she ignored her. She didn’t want to go back to the sidewalk. All the people coming and going made her feel uneasy.
When she reached the balusters on the pedestrian street, Elsa leaned on the rail and looked into the distance. The fjord and the cold air of the summer night had a soothing effect on her nerves.
“The fjord’s beautiful at night.” Anna said at her back, and she looked at her over her shoulder. “I never understood why people don’t stop to look at it more often.”
Elsa smiled and nodded. She had wondered the same thing several times in the past. She didn’t enjoy the city the way normal people did. But if she had the chance, she’d spend her time in the city centre doing just that.
Leaning on the rail next to her, Anna drank in the view for a few seconds before she asked, “do you want me to go?”
“What?”
“I can see you’re not comfortable around people today. Maybe you wanted me to go.”
One of the difficult things of growing up in complete isolation, and then becoming a recluse, was to realise when she was pushing people away. Elsa rarely realised she was doing it until someone mentioned something. And she was glad Anna had no problem telling her when she was doing it. If not, she was certain she wouldn’t be aware of it until it was too late.
“No,” she said, honestly. “I don’t… It’s just– I don’t feel so good today. Being surrounded by people doesn’t help in the least.”
Elsa could see Anna’s sad look from the corner of her eye, but she remained silent. She knew her sister wanted to ask her if she was okay. It was something Anna couldn’t control, and Elsa hoped that she’d realise that this time it was best if she kept the questions to herself.
Anna opened her mouth to speak but Krisotff’s loud voice from the other side of the road stopped her. “Anna! Elsa! Come on. Food will get cold.”
“Coming!” Elsa yelled back and then smiled at Anna to let her know she shouldn’t worry.

The sound of the front door slamming surprised Gerda. She had been setting the table in the dining room, waiting for the family to arrive when she heard it. Thinking it was Kristoff, she walked straight to the living room, ready to reprimand him for it. Since his teenage years, Krisotff had the tendency to slam the doors in the house, driving Gerda crazy.
She opened her eyes in surprise when she realised Kai was the one who had entered the house in a hurry. “Kai, there you are. Elsa told me you’d be back home at seven but—”
“Is Elsa home?” He interrupted his wife. As he let Olaf out of the box he had brought him in.
Gerda smiled and kneeled to pet the cat. “She went to the city centre with Kristoff and Anna. They’re getting some food. We’re going to—” Noticing Kai was a bit more unnerved than usual. She stopped what she wanted to say and asked, “is everything all right?”
“I need to talk to Elsa.”
“Did something happen?” Gerda stood up, ignoring the cat for a minute. She grabbed her husband by the arm and led him to the nearest chair.
Kai understood it was her silent way of telling him to calm down and explain to her what was going on. “Something happened between Elsa and Hålkesen the other night.”
Nonplused by the fact he wanted to talk about something so private, especially if she considered they were talking about Elsa, she said, “well… she’s— she’s an adult.”
Gerda had never imagined Elsa’s relationship with her friend was at that stage, but she couldn’t blame the girl. She had been young too. What she couldn’t understand was why Kai was bringing it up. Or why he even cared. As long as Elsa was safe, she had no intention of prying too much.
Turning red as a beet, Kai looked at her as if she had lost her marbles. “No! No, no. Not that. Why would you—?”
“You are the one talking nonsense!” Now she was embarrassed for both of them. She was thankful the kids hadn’t returned to hear them have such an awkward conversation.
“I’m trying to talk about something serious. Please, listen to me,” he said, trying to get her undivided attention. “Kristoff called this morning. He needed Elsa to call her friend.”
“Marshall?” Gerda asked as she sat on the chair opposite Kai.
He nodded his head and continued. “He was worried about her well-being.”
“Why? Does he—”
Not having enough time nor patience to tell the whole story, Kai interrupted her. “Elsa called him at midday, remember? She tried to apologise. He hung up on her.”
“You said you weren’t eavesdropping,” she said with a frown.
“That doesn’t matter. Anders and I went to the mountain to pick up Olaf and there we ran into Hålkesen…” He took a deep breath. “Something happened between them. Elsa’s house is a mess. There’s blood everywhere. His forearm was bandaged.”
Gerda could do nothing but open her eyes in shock at what Kai was telling her. “Kai, if you are pulling my leg—”
“Do you seriously think I’m joking?” he asked, irritated. Gerda knew he wasn’t truly mad, he was simply distressed about the situation. “He’s got an ice burn.”
“No,” she said almost instantly. She wouldn’t believe Elsa had done something like that. Her daughter wasn’t dangerous. “Elsa would never— Kai, are you sure he’s got an iceburn? Did you even talk to him?”
“We did — we tried,” Kai clarified. “He didn’t tell us much. All he said was I should talk to Elsa myself. He promised her he wouldn’t say anything to anyone. And he didn’t.”
Gerda wanted to ask her husband a thousand questions, but she tried her best to remain calm and let him finish.
“He didn’t break his promise even when we told him we knew about Elsa,” he explained. “You may understand why I need to talk to Elsa, Gerda. She needs to talk to this man and make sure he will keep his promise and keep her safe.”
“Wait, no.” Everything Kai was telling her sounded too rushed, too drastic. Marshall hadn’t even confirmed he had been hurt by Elsa’s ice and Kai was already planning to question their daughter. “Elsa would never hurt him, or anyone. Kai, you know Elsa. You know she'd never—”
“I do,” he said, understanding her concern. “But I also know her powers are too much for her to bear sometimes.”
“Please, Kai.” Gerda felt tears welling up in her eyes. If what Kai was telling her was true, then things were a lot more serious than she had imagined. She didn’t want to imagine what was going through Elsa’s head, and she didn’t want to make things worse for her. “We can’t bombard Elsa with questions as soon as she gets home. There must be a reason she didn’t tell us.”
“Gerda,” Kai stopped her. “She lost control and hurt another person. She’s only lucky he hasn’t said anything to anyone yet.”
“Don’t you think we should trust Elsa? Maybe she’s got things under control.”
“Things are clearly out of her control. Things are not okay.” It was clear it pained Kai to say so, but he was trying to act in Elsa’s best interest.
“Kai.” She didn’t know if she wanted to convince Kai or herself that Elsa hadn’t lost control of her powers.
“I didn't want to see it either.” The sadness in Kai’s eyes crushed her. “But it’s best if we accept it and try to help her. She's not okay.”
“Let’s give her some time. Maybe she’ll talk to us,” she begged him.
“Gerda…”
“Let’s have dinner.” She extended her hand until she reached his. “The family is all together. Let’s be patient.”
“What about Hålkesen?” They couldn’t ignore the fact someone outside the family knew about Elsa’s powers.
“He already made Elsa a promise,” Gerda tried to reason. “He didn’t tell you anything. Let's trust his word.”
The sound of Krisotff’s truck parking outside the house called their attention, and they both looked in the direction of the door.
“Please, Kai, we can’t corner her like this.” Gerda desperately needed Kai to be patient.
The door opened and Gerda could hear Kristoff and Anna talking in the living room.
“Please,” she insisted.
“Okay,” he said with a sigh. “Okay. We give her more time.”

Three chapters in fifteen days! How about that?!
This only proves I was in fact writing scenes here and there during the 4+months hiatus and I finally realised how to mix everything together.
I’m super excited about this part of the story and I bet you guys can already tell. Ideas keep flowing and I find myself writing for hours after work like I haven’t done in a long time.

Sexuality headcanon: idk, hetero I guess?
OTP: Him and Mia. It’s a very special ship to me.
Brotp: Him and Chris and him and Zoe. I love that Chris decided to give him some training after RE7 and I like to imagine the two bonded over time. With Zoe, how can I not? They both would’ve never made it out without each other. They were each other’s last hope. Even after leaving her, he was still determined to get her out and sent help. She’s the only person aside from Mia who truly understands what he went through.
NOTP: Him and Karl. I’m sorry, there was absolutely nothing between the two. Dude never gave a damn about him, wanted to use Rose as a weapon because he didn’t give a damn about her either. Those types of ships squick me out. (Again, sorry to those who like it ;-;)
First headcanon that pops into my head:
He always wears long sleeves, and when he can’t, he’ll use other things to cover up his wrist.
Favorite line:
“That’s not groovy” — Ethan during the second boss fight with Jack.
One way I relate to this character: Oh boy, there’s a lot. So I’ll just keep it simple. We’re both been taken out of our elements and had to push through it and we’re both scared of losing people close to us. We are also both emotionally driven.
One thing that gives me second hand embarrassment:
Not much? Maybe a dumb quip but those are supposed to be tacky. I mean, you can’t have Resident Evil without some cringeworthy dialogue.

I can’t call him either because he’s definitely closer to cinnamon roll than problematic.

Sexuality: Bisexual. Her actress actuality implied it during a livestream I was watching so that’s how I see her.
OTP: Take a guess XD
Brotp: Her and Zoe. They were both stuck there for three years, and although she was under Eveline’s control, it is implied that they did work together at some points. When Ethan cured her and was about to leave, she insisted to Zoe that she should come with. Afterwards, she sent a letter saying she wanted her to meet Rose. So…how can I not? It’s a really interesting and underrated friendship that I like to explore.
NOTP: Her and Zoe. Age gap is too big for me. Mia is 32 in RE7 and Zoe is 23 at that time.
First headcanon that pops onto my head:
She needs the door open in order to feel calm or safe (contrast to her partner who is the opposite).
One way I relate to this character:
Again, it’s a lot. But she and I both have a lot of guilt issues due to bad things we’ve done in the past, and both of us are trying to move on, and start over fresh. Be new and better people. Yet, it’s hard sometimes.

When did you post your first ever fanfic?
Christmas Day 2020! It was a Eugene and Rapunzel Christmas one shot that was part of some sort of prompt list with some friends. Are you really shocked the first one I posted was Christmas? Hehe I’m not. (Six months later I’d post my multi chapter HTTYD/Tangled fanfic that has been in the works for at least a year) Oh wait, there was actually an Aladdin and Jasmine one shot I posted in 2019… we don’t speak of that though. And you’ll never find it hehehe

“I think you’re good,” Astrid replied as Hiccup neared the top. She reached for his hand. “Don’t ever do that again.”
He smiled and reached for her hand. As he was about to reply, his hand slipped out of her grip and he fell, trying to grip for the rope.
“Hiccup!” Astrid cried as he fell, calling out her name. Toothless wailed as Astrid and the others watched in shock as Hiccup fell into the darkness of the pit.
(Dun dun duuuuuuuunnnnnnnn)
Justice Served:
“Give me a break, it’s been a day. Rochefort has been even more unbearable than usual, and I don’t even know how Louis can run this place when he doesn’t know a thing that’s going on. And don’t even get me started on-“
“Yes, let’s not get you started. Can we stay on point, please?”
“Sorry. Anyway, I’m really surprised you didn’t already have a camera. Constance and I have one.”
“I didn’t think I needed one...” Francis muttered. D’Artagnan snorted.
“Francis, in this day and age? Get with the times.”
An AU that remains nameless lol:
Norbert sighed and turned around, leaning close to Hiccup.
“Cooperate and go with them,” he said quietly. Hiccup’s eyes widened.
“I didn’t do anything!”
“I know, Hiccup,” Norbert said, placing a hand on his shoulder. “I don’t need to hear the allegations to know that they’re false. Just go.”
Hiccup sent a glare Dread’s way as he pulled his weapons out and handed them to Piglard.
A one shot with no title again (titles are my nemeses)
…Something logical in the back of his brain told him that wasn’t good, but everything seemed foggy.
“Reid?” Elle moved a hand up to shake him gently. When he didn’t respond, she looked at Hotch. “He’s not responding.”
(SuSPENSE!!!)

“My sister?” He nodded as she sat up partially, leaning on her arms. “She’s a baby. Anything small enough to fit in that box would be a choking hazard.” He leaned closer to her.
“Maybe it’s bigger than it appears.”
She rolled her eyes, turning her head away from him. “You’re getting coal.”

My NOTP: Herb Cookie x Carrot Cookie
I've seen it a few times in the Official Cookie Run Comics, however I felt like it was a bit too cliche between the two
Prefer Herb and Carrot as friends or even co-workers in the same garden
My BROTOP: Herb Cookie x Gingerbrave
Mostly going on the fact that I made them the only two characters in my CRK Kimura AU that can break the 4th Wall
And while they don't get along that much in the aforementioned Cookie Run Comics, both Herb and Gingerbrave act like siblings that fight as much as helping one another out
My OTP, Fluffy Pairing, and Underrated Pairing: Herb Cookie x Dark Choco Cookie
This became a thing all because of my CRK Kimura AU, but even so I still see this becoming a thing
Herb in the Cookie Run Comics is the son of a goddess, while Dark Choco in the Cookie Run Games (especially Kingdom) is the son of an ancient ruler
It's not written or drawn that much by most people that are into the Cookie Run Franchise, but I see them being the immortal version of "Soft Boy x Tough Guy" Ship
I can imagine Dark Choco being pretty protective and showing his soft side to Herb when he gets the chance to hangout with him, an underrated and oddly wholesome ship
My 2nd Favorite OTP: Herb Cookie x Sparkling Cookie
Despite it mainly being fandom based, I can see this making a lot more sense than other Herb Ships that revolve around him with other plant-themed cookies
Think about it as two soft but hardworking boys that understand each other's flaws and simply enjoy being together as boyfriends
Plus both Herb and Sparkling seem to be on the more peaceful side of things, and would fight only to protect those they care about and protect each other
My Platonic Pairing: Herb Cookie x Cherry Blossom Cookie
Originally my OTP, but I started to lose a bit of interest in this particular ship
It's cute though, and would be considered as my 3rd Favorite OTP which revolved around Herb Cookie
The dynamic between Herb and Cherry Blossom is still amazing in my opinion, showing the malewife and the girlboss concept of ship
My OT3: Herb Cookie with the rest of the Juice Bar Regulars
Broke the rules with this one by making it into an OT4 instead cause I didn't want to leave behind anyone from that particular CRK Bond
Just four dudes chilling by the Juice Bar, enjoying time together as a lovably romantic group
This can be a Harem Ship as well if I were to include Cocoa Cookie, a playful person that gives me a bit of girlboss vibes
My Crack Pairing: Herb Cookie x Crunchy Chip Cookie
Kinda blamed this on the fact that I would be see as Herb Cookie in the Discord sometimes, and same thing goes with a friend of mine who would be shown as Crunchy Chip Cookie in the same website
This is more of my 2nd BROTP since I'm personally not into being in a romantic relationship and would rather have friends
But I see this as the Crack BROTP, mostly because of my interactions with my crunchy friend with it being a bit too silly at times
My Guilty Pleasure Pairing: Herb Cookie x Cream Unicorn Cookie
Both healers that look like they would NOT hesitate to fight back for the sake of protecting those they care about
Cream Unicorn would dare say "Shantay You Stay" to Herb, although they would question whether or not to say the same to Eclair Cookie
My Crossover Pairing: Herb Cookie x Rantaro Amami
I drew Herb dressed up as Rantaro once, and I'm planning to do that again!
Or I could draw them hanging out together, since they're both adventurous but also pretty chill characters
My Overrated Pairing: Herb Cookie x Clover Cookie
Similar to the ones shown as a BROTP, I just see these two as great friends and close as siblings
Just like with Carrot Cookie, I don't like Herb pairings that have him shipped with other plant-based cookies, and Clover is no exception to that
Not to mention that I see these two in a romantic pairing with other characters, which would be Dark Choco Cookie and Licorice Cookie respectively
