I think we should romanticise brown eyes more. I've started to fall in love with my brown eyes for the first time in my life and it is so, so refreshing. Brown is beautiful.
Dear people with brown eyes, I love you. Those whose eyes are too dark to see pupils, I love you. People with eyes the colour of healthy soil, with eyes that are deep and dark and rich brown, I love you. Your eyes are worthy of being romanticised. They may not be the colour of the ocean, or leaves on a tree, but they're brown like bark, or chestnuts, or dark as night, deep like memory, beautiful and unique.

What do you mean when you say that sunlight is dark brown eyes best friend? It sounds like you mean they're best when lightened
I don't mean like this. This isn't doing it justice okay this is some basic shiet
I MEAN THIS
I think brown eyes come more of a scale of saturation and richness/warm rather than hue or lightness, like other colors.
A lot of brown eyes LOOK black in indoor lighting, but the warmness or coolness of the tone isn't apparent until it's in direct sun, usually.
Brown eyes can be warm toned or cool toned, if they're warm they can be red toned or yellow toned.
If they're cool they can be more grey toned or a deeper dark chocolate brown.
I for one know my eyes are warm and yellowish toned.
Also sunlight helps you make it the textures or ridges of the iris.
And lastly I just think it looks really really nice when a face is really illuminated, but the eyes and irises are very dark (like the second or third pic)
It's a really nice contrast that draws you to eyes. Like wearing really bright cheek highlighter, but really dark cat eye eyeliner.
That's why I think smokey eyes for between eyes is SO overrated.
Light bright colors or direct light is a really good way to make brown eyes and they're hues pop
Like look - homegirl on the right has red-hued, warm toned eyes. The pink eyeshadow she's wearing is very warm too, almost a champagne.
It brings out the warm toned in her eyes.
The girl on the right has cool toned eyes.
The pink she's using is less warm, closer to purple or blue, complimenting the cool tone of her eyes.
But both are using really bright, contrasting colors near the inner corner of their eyes - a warm gold or a cool blue - to also complement the tone.
That's what I mean when I say that brown eyes look so much better with illumination and light - or at least some kind of brightness or contrast.
Like I said, mines are yellow toned - so I really like wearing really really gold eye-shadow or gold glitter under-eye liner.
For a short time I was really into red eyeshadow.
I think it works for me. I think I be serving face for breakfast lunch and dinner might I add
Brown eyes are arguably the BEST for color experimentation likes this. Brown eyes go with literally any color or brightness on the spectrum.
If you have dark brown eyes - put gold or nude shimmer eyeshadow in the corners of your eyes.
Put a little gold on your lid. Just a lil. Trust me. IT'LL EAT.
But all of this works so much better if we have !!! Good lighting!!!! I hate overhead lighting!!!
My parents sent me to one of those Barbizon training schools when I was younger so they made us learn how to do all the makeup and stuff for ourselves and they were SO SO deadass about this color-makeup-tone stuff that it stuck with me FOREVER I tell you
This is not me trying to give unsolicited makeup advice I just LOVE fashion and feel deeply passionate about looking good as hell 😭
