I have difficulty sometimes talking to people who don't race sailboats.

When I was a teenager, I crewed Larchmont to Nassau on a 58-foot sloop called Cantice. There was a little piece of kelp that was stuck to the hull, and even though it was little, you don't want anything stuck to the hull.

The West Wing

The first character I first fell in love with: CJ Cregg. From that first pratfall... <3 The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Bruno Gianelli! (Does he count? I know he's not a main). At first I thought he was a huge sleaze, but by my first rewatch, every time he was onscreen I'm like Bruno! Bruno, my best friend Bruno!!! The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I am... not overly fond of Annabeth. The character I love that everyone else hates: I do not think that Will Bailey ruined The West Wing. The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Joshua Malina on the other hand... I don't actually know if any character fits, really? I don't have a very high opinion of Toby... 😬 but I don't dislike him? The character I would totally smooch: CJ. Danny. Matthew Santos. Lou Thornton. Helen Santos. Simon Donovan. etc. The character I’d want to be like: CJ, unquestionably. The character I’d slap: Hutchinson! A pairing that I love: CJ/Danny!!!!! A pairing that I despise: 'despise' is a strong word but... really really get icked out by Leo/Annabeth!

The first character I first fell in love with: Probably Hawkeye. Though catching it on reruns, I loved Max. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Charles. Used to think he was a funky cool dude but... The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Mulcahy, but only because it's like "I've seen enough of this dude", he's just everywhere. And my true Unpopular Opinion... i don't like Sidney. I think he's overrated. The character I love that everyone else hates: Peg? Idk. Are there characters people who aren't in facebook groups hate? The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Mulcahy. He was one of my faves on the first watch through. The character I would totally smooch: BJ, incredibly so. The character I’d want to be like: A combination of all of them, actually. The character I’d slap: 🤔 dope slapping Potter sounds fun. A pairing that I love: Punnihawk! A pairing that I despise: ... again, 'despise' is a strong word, and I support everyone shipping what they want, but I don't like Hawkeye/Mulcahy. There are more, but I don't fancy getting yelled at today lol

tyy okay toby our beloved is answered here but. yknow what fuck it bruno headcanon time man is gonna get character development live

he has a lot of legitimate second thoughts when he first starts working for vinick, but not because he doesn’t believe in him. he’s very careful to keep these hidden, because none of them will benefit from any kind of doubt from him (including himself). i think mostly he worries about what kinds of bridges it will burn, but that’s not a priority which leads me into...

i know that. a lot of them really prioritize work above relationships (this is established with leo in the first few episodes) but i think that’s especially true for bruno. he has working relationships, and very casual relationships, but i think it’s really rare for him to have something meaningful, which is also interesting to me bc i think he is Very perceptive and understands people very well. he tells himself he prefers things this way. also think perhaps vinick is an exception here. but i’m still figuring out my take on their relationship.

mommy issues. i don’t. have a justification for this one it just feels true. rocky home life in general, became entirely self sufficient in his early/mid teens, and emotionally self sufficient (in yknow. an unhealthy way bc no kid is supposed to have to be that) even younger

he would never Want to work as a speechwriter, it’s not what he enjoys, but i think he’s a good enough writer that he could. also have no idea how he works in canon but he has ‘dictates his ideas/needs to talk out loud/needs to move when thinking’ vibes

this is less a headcanon than a. thought. but his relationship and the way he talks to bartlet really fascinates me. i wouldn’t say he’s Disrespectful, but it’s very uh. like respecting the president isn’t his job, helping him win is. and alright i did actually start to have a hc here abt him consulting in the past with bartlet and very minimally on the first campaign but also i was reading the episode transcript where he’s introduced and it’s. not at all how i remember so yknow. take that as you will
