This was a client's bedroom staged to sell. I found a headboard because the sleigh bed frame was so dated looking. No one ever slept in this bed after it was made up. It was COVID and everyone was gone but me. // I know my Dad, my client, would have liked it if he'd been able to climb the stairs one more time to see it before the house sold. He likes blue, and I designed it for him even though he'd just see the photos. // Now, I'm sorting through all his things, and some of these pieces are mixed in. The lamp I've found and the shade, too. The bedding must still be in bags. on one hand collector brain has lead me to places i wouldn't even go with a gun but on the other hand. haruhi suzumiya is one of those series i collect and since next to no one actually gives a shit abt it anymore the prices are dirt cheap (it's how i get my 2000s anime aesthetic figure fix without getting into bidding wars on yja over love ward miku or spending $500usd on mayura) but also the association with haruhi figures = dirt cheap has skewed my perception of them exponentially . earlier today i found myself thinking '$60? that's insane' over a fucking freeing bstyle . now ik most of you babes either aren't figure collectors or aren't as into it as i am but freeing bstyles are fucking massive, widely sought after, and regularly go for $300-$400 . i have spent almost 4x the price of the $60 bstyle on a 1/8 scale . i regularly spend that much on figures. a bstyle going for a price in the double digits is fucking insane and near unheard of . where the hell was this sense of restraint when we were spending twice that amount on sets of kuroshitsuji trading figures a couple weeks ago
