If I hear one more time that Seven is a bad/too simple song for JK... I swear to God...
Have you seen/heard the same song as me? He LOVES it, and it is there, in every note, in every move. He said this song made him want to do things, to be fit, to dance again, practice again, work again.
Also have you all thought that JK will give us anything less than a story when he dies and returns from the dead to plead his girl to forgive him? Do we know the same Jeon Jungkook? A stalker video? Huh Have you never experienced a man so in love, he would move mountains for you? Then I am pity of all of you.
You keep bitching about Dynamite, yet it is one of my most fav songs, because it made me find them. Seven is fun, it is smooth and so so vocally complicated, so literally fuck off.
When will you be satisfied? Once he sings in opera? Lol I'll gladly hear what you have to say then.
.@BTS_twt’s “Dynamite” hit 1.7B views on YouTube! This is the highest number of views ever reached by the group’s MV! Congrats! ❤️🔥 #BTS #Dynamite1_7B

That's a wrap! See you guys in the next post. This post was long due. I don't follow deadlines, don't I? 😂 Enjoy and do give your support.
What’s your favorite BTS music video? I love how they have such different videos and can fit such a variety of genres.
***
I want to say Black Swan, but I also really like Fake Love.
Black Swan wins out because of Jimin’s contemporary dance shots, the Yoonmin shadow dance, and Jungkook’s godlike visuals. I also like the MV setting in the old opera house. Black Swan gave us sophisticated grown up BTS, and it felt like this was the direction they’d be going in (but then Dynamite happened lol. I don’t hate it, but it’s no Black Swan).
I’m really looking forward to their music videos when they come back.
Edit: I just remembered the War of Hormone MV. When this first dropped, it cracked me up so bad I couldn’t stop laughing. They are all so goofy and adorable in that MV, so silly and full of energy. War of Hormone is a vibe and so yeah, it’s one of my favourite BTS MVs.
The JM question... JK with his "yes, in New York", pointing back like it's far away.
Well, so far away apparently that he couldn't join one of the shortest lives ever JK had, and one he couldn't get over fast enough.
*Side note: probably not going to post about that live, given there was really nothing post worthy in it. Other than him loving the cake, him being a little sick, him telling us there will be more performances and he has a schedule following the live, him telling us he slept 2 hours last night, up at 4:30 am (meaning he went to sleep at 2:30 am, I guess fulfilling his promise to ________ seven days a week).
Like I said, he couldn't wait to get it over fast enough.
And back to GMA.
Yeah, not a great interview...
Poor boy.
He was not ready for that kind of interview. And he is one that needs to prepare. The interviewer was, excuse my French, I am not going to mince words, crap.
The sound in the studio was bad. He didn't have a proper mic. The interviewer was shocking. Yeah, not good.
Euphoria
Dynamite
Seven
Oh, and did I mention the camera work for the pre-taping was not great either?
But let's leave that aside for a second and talk about something interesting. Something obviously not only I noticed.
Now, we've all agreed that this song is about sex, true?
True.
And we have also agreed that the song is gender neutral, true?
True, but not for the rap.
The rap has male pronouns and is clearly sung to a male.
Tightly take control, tightly take his soul
Take your phone and put it in the camera roll (Uh)
Leave them clothes at the door
What you waiting for? Better come and hit ya goals
He jump in it both feet
Going to the sun-up, we ain't gettin' no sleep
Seven days a week, seven different sheets
Seven different angles, I can be your fantasy
Open up, say, "Ah"
Come here, baby, let me swallow your pride
What you on I can match your vibe
Hit me up and I'ma Cha Cha Slide
You make Mondays feel like weekends
I make him never think about cheatin'
Got you skippin' work and meetings
Let's sleep in, yeah (Seven days a week, ooh)
(That swallow your pride line is...ok...).
In the recorded song and the MV Latto is the one rapping, mostly, JK does the singing.
But in the performance, JK did part of the rap.
Loud and clear.
So, someone clearly went and told him he just cannot sing the lyrics as is, and went and changed the line "I make him never think about cheatin'" to a female pronoun - her. Cause Scoot, he has A LOT of money banking on this song, and ain't no one, especially not JK, going to ruin it for him with no explicit queer shit.
Thing is, it comes out worse in a sense, lol.
Cause that mix of female pronoun with lines that are clearly male intended kind of makes your mind go to other places which I will not detail here right now (well, if you have one and it's not empty like the y/ns that will listen to her and swallow it like the imbeciles that they are).
And yeah, JK's English might not be the greatest, but he most definitely knows what the lyrics he's singing are.
He knows what it means when he sings "fucking you seven days a week" and he knows what the lyrics of the rap part are as well, it being his damn song. And he definitley knows what "come here, baby, let me swallow your pride" means too.
So, JK singing this rap, with the male pronouns, talking about explicit sex acts with a man, this my friends was a definite no no from the Scoot. NO SIR. NOT ON HIS WATCH.
Do we have to say closeted once again? And prices to pay as well?
So yeah, JK had an almost free hand with the photo shoot concept, and obviously had styling choices of his own in the MV and the performance today (cough JM mirroring going on again cough). I think it's also safe to say he was involved in the MV concept itself and the storyline and idea for the scenes. And we don't know just how much say he had with the lyrics of the song (although it's clear that he does feel a connection with the song, and I'm not surprised either with some of the mirroring going on there to JM's Like crazy), but clearly for JK's part, there are no female pronouns.
So, if he wanted to rap, having to say the word her in the rap was a price to pay, which he did. All with the 4 buff tattooed male dancers prancing around him.
For a song about a clearly hetro man singing about having sex 7 days a week with a woman that is kind of a weird, let's say, choice of backup dancers, I have to say.
Or not, seeing that this man does not have one straight bone in his body...
Thinking back though to that line he inserted the her...
Namjoon gives a brief recap of their rise from debut, through the struggles of the next few releases and then they take off with Wings, Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Fake Love, and Idol and all their accolades and awards.
They open this episode with behind scenes from filming the ON MV at Los Angeles' Sepulveda Dam. It was hot that day.
[did you say something Jimin? ahem... anyway]
Regarding the previous years to this point in time, Namjoon says he may not have made the best choices all the time but he believes he made the best choices he could at the time. Yoongi says they compacted 20 years into 7 years at the expense of their physical well-being.
Namjoon says he tried to prove himself to the world but now sees that what he's left with are the choices he wanted to make at the time with all his effort and he learned a lot from them.
Jungkook says he lived a life fit for himself, that if he had forced himself to do something that didn't suit him, it would not have been good. He did what he wanted to do and experienced a lot. All decisions he made for himself and which helped him grow.
In other words, they chose to work hard and run full speed ahead and we know that led to an almost burnout situation.
Namjoon states the lyrics of the song ON are what they mean: they've been through it and are on the other side, they made it to the other side together. Bring the pain, bring it on, it will only make us stronger.
It is heartbreaking to hear them talk about how much work they put into the MOTS tour, how involved they were with equipment and production decisions. Yoongi said it had been a while since they'd been this excited about preparing for concerts.
Things were planned that we never knew about. A large-scale gala for TV promotions?
And then the news early 2020. Jimin was asking if there was any chance the concert would ever go ahead as planned...
During the two years or so of the pandemic, each member dealt with the social distancing, self-quarantining, loneliness and lack of live performances in their own ways. They did a lot of nothing during this time. The footage shown here was not of them during the first months of the pandemic. There were no cameras set up during that time. They used footage from times when they COULD film safely to help represent how they were during isolation. Looks like Hobi and Jungkook in the hotel suite after the Grammy Awards and footage of Jimin in his apartment in late 2021, etc.
There were long periods of time when everyone, including you and me were asked or required to abstain from going outside, to isolate away from others, to not socialize with more than 5 or 10 people at a time, even with our families.
Bang PD reflects that BTS were at the peak of their careers, they lived to perform, and had to overcome the feelings of helplessness and that's how he believes they've grown as humans.
So they innovated...they produced the first online ticketed concert: Bang Bang Con. Over 750,000 viewers watched.
It was reported on the news that BTS was once again changing the industry.
And then on August 21, 2020, they released a song to enjoy with the fans:
If The Most Beautiful Moment in Life was the turning point, Dynamite was literally the explosion that shot them into the stratosphere.
Dynamite broke records of every kind: on Youtube the MV set a new record of over 3 million peak viewers during its premiere, almost doubling the previous record, and set a new all-time record for the biggest music video premiere on the platform and the most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours, earning 101.1 million views and setting three new Guinness World Records.
In the U.S., Dynamite debuted a #1 on the BBHot100, and is BTS' first #1 single in the US. The song became both the longest-running number one on the Digital Songs chart by a Korean artist and the longest-charting song by a Korean artist on the Hot 100, when it spent its 18th non-consecutive week at #1 the Digital Song sales chart and 32 weeks on the Hot 100, three of those weeks at #1.
Hobi said it was overwhelming that their sincerity had reached all parts of the world. Jin said it was a song to simply enjoy with fans.
Bang PD said he knew what this would mean for their future and what a positive impact it was.
Yoongi said they did the song in the hopes of giving everyone strength during the trying times of the pandemic. Namjoon says because of the situation (the pandemic) they lost so much (cancellation of the MOTS tour) so during that time, the strength of music and performances were their way to give comfort and support to the fans.
With the ongoing pandemic, they had to adapt. In October 2020, they produced Map of the Soul ON:E ... two online concerts that had a record-breaking 993,000 paid viewers from a total of 191 regions across the globe. It was performed at the Olympics Gymnastics Arena. It was elaborately produced. It was expensive. Lots of man-hours went into it.
They said they enjoyed doing it, they worked hard but it was a challenge because the missing element was a live audience... Army was missing. It would never replace a live concert's energy but they were still thankful they could even do it to begin with. It would be another year before BTS was in front of a live audience again.
Overnight on Nov. 24, 2020 they gathered in front of the television in their dorm to watch the 63rd Grammy Awards nomination announcements. Only four of them were there: Jimin, Namjoon, Jungkook and Tae. I had heard the others had schedules the next day and needed to sleep.
They had never known how the Grammy nominations were announced, this was their first experience and when BTS was announced you could feel their astonishment through the screen. The first Korean artist to ever be nominated.
During the Grammy Award broadcast (done remotely), they also performed their own song, Dynamite.
Alas, they did not win but they'd made so much history and broke so many records in 2020, the year of deep lows and the highest highs.
They felt motivated, knowing they still had room for success and had something to strive for.
They were proud to show the world that there are singers like them from Korea and that Army and BTS exist.
what’s your favorite hair on every member of bangtan? sorry if you’ve answered this before 🧐
ohhh kayla kayla kayla, what a fantastic question. I needed some time to think and came to the following solution: very generally speaking, I love their hair longer in the front, shorter in the back, and with a side parting and/or their hair styled off their face 😌 that’s a good formula 😌 shdhhfh okay more specific now, SO
namjoon – mots persona platinum joon. it just made his skin glow even more than usual. generally I think he really rocks lighter hair colours, also his forehead was made to be exposed okay
seokjin – dark hair! I liked his wavy the astronaut mv and coldplay performance hair, it didn’t live long enough :(
hobi – black hair, kinda wet look, so good. but ofc also platinum hair hobi, no one will ever do it like him. and I also love when they take strands of his hair and style those (exposed forehead!!!), good stuff
yoongi – black hair and short in the nape of the neck!!!!!!! so that includes early yoongi, fake love yoongi, d-2 yoongi, dynamite & BE yoongi etc etc. and when his hair grew really long, I loved it too, but only really when it was properly styled (haegeum dance practice, snooze performance vid, valentino) and when it was wavy (first suchwita ep, nba game, his insta pics) … and let’s not talk about run bts dance practice…..
jimin - BLOOOOOOOOONDEEEEEE. period!!! (he looks really good with silver/grey hair too, though)
taehyung - curly black hair taehyung forever and always. BUT both dna grey hair tae and (honey) blonde taehyung will always get me weak in the knees as well (so you can imagine what I'm going through these days). actually as long as it's kind of wavy I'll eat it up
jungkook - 2019 jk (sys tour, muster, lotte concert) always!! and when he got a perm for dynamite promo it was SO flippin cute (and hot once they went for a wet look). and basically the same haircut, just with the hair being long everywhere. another member that'll always get me once his hair is wavy/curled/floofy actually
The Yunjin collab is my favorite song from Hobi's album (At least from the snippets I listened to). I also liked the Nile Rodgers one, but not as much. I don't know how he chooses the main tracks because he always picks the worst songs, objectively. It's not like they sound bad, at all, but there are songs with more potential. Arson was also not the best song in his last album (it's my least favorite), it was too monotonous and repetitive, lacked instrumentation and melody.
Also, seeing the way the fandom is behaving with his release... I feel sad for him. I guess we'll have to see the streams tomorrow, but the mv views, melon, itunes, it's disappointing. I seriously believe the fandom has completely crumbled, they are not moving unless they have tools (payola), and I feel like the reason why is because they know it will give them a reason to brag on fanwars, not even because of the music. I wonder if it's also the boycott that is affecting the performance, or even the fact that the members are not here to promote.
One thing I'll never believe is that the "boycott" impacts anything, especially not when it's armys having to boycott BTS.
I think it's easier to decide you don't want to stream the music when you weren't even one of the real streamers in the fandom to begin with.
I'm seeing some armys claim that they're boycotting and I find it funny because it's mutuals I had on armytwt who haven't had BTS as their top streamed artist since dynamite era, so what are you boycotting exactly?
How many people are actually boycotting is the question? They're not listening because they don't like the music. Everyone wants me to believe that they only listen to music so far through Google drives? I assure you that these people are still listening to the music they prefer from the artists they like on official streaming platforms.
I don't think the boycott is affecting much. Hobi has never been popular and armys have never been big fans of rapline's music, the only rapline songs I've seen armys eat up as much as pop songs was CNS and daetchwita. The advantage hobi always had was the fact that he's always been the first to delve in when it comes to solo work.
He was the first member to release an official promoted single with a western artist with CNS and he was considered the most successful soloist at the time because he was the first to have a solo hot 100 entry, "more" His pre-release single had good first day numbers simply because he was the first to release a debut album, and then on the street stayed stable for a while because of j.cole.
But like you said, A lot of armys have gone on rest because the group isn't active. So unless you're actually giving them something exciting to work with, they're not going to be tuning in.
Jikook - power duo/aces of the group / main dancers/axis of the group. Yes, I'm talking about Jikook. The power couple. The duo rocks the stage with their charismatic personality and appearance. Amazing visuals. Sexy body. Powerful moves. Amazing vocals.
I thought of doing this post since we don't really get to talk about their dynamics on stage often. So, here's a post featuring my favourite JIKOOK stages as a unit in live concerts, off-stage dances, MV's and events. Also, keep in mind that I'm not ranking the stages. Whichever moment crops up in my mind first secures the top spot ya :)
