Jikook Week 3 Complete ✔️ (26/12/23 - 02/01/24)

Their third week in the military is now complete and it's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2015.

It was the end of the year and BTS were run off their feet with the usual rush of end of year shows.

They performed at the SBS Award show on the 29th December......

......and at the KBS Song Festival on the 30th December. Big Hit's Twitter praised Jimin's solo dance break and JK's duet with Zion T. In Jimin's Twitter post he hoped people had enjoyed the performance.

This beloved jikook clip was taken back stage at this show.

On the 31st, while performing at the MBC Music Festival, they recorded their New Year messages for ARMY. Jimin was thankful for all the wonderful memories they had made that year and Jungkook was excited that he was finally going to be 20. He was anxious to be of age and looking forward to showing ARMY how manly he would become. Hmmmmmmm!

The MBC Music Festival show also produced this amazing performance of Perfect Man.

Notice Namjoon isn't on stage with them. He fell off a ramp the day before and was told to rest. Jimin commented on it in his end of year message.

Jimin and Jungkook ended 2015 together doing what they love and jikooking like crazy.

The “In the Soop” Conversation...To Be or Not to Be True?!!? That is the Stupid Question

There are many lies that fly around the fandom. Lies that become so common people start to believe them or see them as true. I want to debunk some of these lies with facts! Feelings change...facts never do!

The first lie I want to tackle is that “The in the Soop Conversation between Tae and JK was staged.” Perpetrators of this lie claim it was staged for two reasons (A)Taekook said they never fought so that statement alone proves that conversation was staged and (B) There is no evidence that Tkk drifted apart so Hybe forced them to lie to cover their relationship.

Now there is a whole lot to process with those “justifications,” or “proofs” so let’s expose the lies in each point.

First, tkkers claim the “In the Soop” conversation between JK and Tae was a lie because Tae and JK said they don’t fight. As I write that claim I want to laugh but before we get to the utter nonsense of such a statement let’s look at the content of tkks actual discussion.

In this heart to heart Jungkook admitted that him and Tae were close as trainees but as they grew and started spending time alone things became awkward with Tae. Tae became became more quiet and reserved. JK also stated that they hadn’t had a heart to heart of late.

Tae reminded JK of a conversation they had as trainees where Tae asked JK to speak more casually with him because he wanted to be friends. But JK refused, his reasoning being it would have led to a lot of fights back then. Tae responded even though we would have fought more we would have also hung out more (if he had spoken casually).

The conversation basically ended with JK saying yeah but that was the decision he made then (implying you can’t change the past).

Now that we all have the gist of the conversation let’s review Tkkers first claim that “this conversation must be staged because Tae and JK don’t fight.” I ask you where in this conversation do either of them say that their relation changed because of a fight? JK said they drifted because Tae became more reserved and they became awkward. Tae said he thinks the reason they don’t jive as well is because JK didn’t speak casually with him when they were trainees which led to them not hanging out as much. Does any of that sound like they drifted apart because of a fight???!!!

Just a quick analysis of the actual conversation debunks the first claim. Tkk’s relationship didn’t drift because of a fight...it drifted because they grew apart due to personality and difference of preferences. Plain and simple. So the whole they don’t fight claim doesn’t prove that the conversation was staged! Because their relationship didn’t change due to a fight!

Secondly, Now that we’ve squared the first claim away and exposed it for it’s nonsense, let’s dissect the second claim, the “In the Soop” conversation was staged because there is no evidence that tkk drifted apart. Hybe forced them to say those things.

I remember back in 2016 commenting on the fact that Tae and JK didn’t seem that close. I had recently joined the fandom and as is tradition when you are knew you are fed the lie that Tae and Jk are the closest..I pushed back. I said in many private chats, anonymous post (I was a lurker) and youtube comments that Tae and JK actually didn’t seem close at all. But why take my word for it?

Take Tkkers own words.

For YEEEAAARS (starting in 2015 but amped up in 2016) Taekookers cried that Big Hit/Hybe were cutting out Tkk moments from BTS official content. They later rationalized that the reason for this was Big Hit was hiding tkks relationship by excluding their moments from official content.

Then when BTS Memories of [Insert year] started being released annually,  Tkkers cried more. These tears weren’t just about the fact that there was minimal Tkk moments or interactions it was that there was too much Jikook content. JK and JM were always shown together...with every memories starting with 2017 their interactions increase...if JK was being filmed JM was there...if JM was being filmed JK was there. Tkkers didn’t like this and started claiming that JM was Tkk beard. That the absence of TKK footage proved Big Hit was hiding Tkk and promoting Jikook

Taekookers THEMSELVES...For years acknowledge that Tae and JK weren’t seen together often. There was hardly a moment between Tae and JK between the years of 2016-2019. This lack of footage of the two of the together hanging out was very much so acknowledged but instead of jumping to the logical conclusion “they don’t hang out much” they made up a theory that Big Hit was hiding Taekook’s relationship with Jikook.

Years later the “In the Soop” conversation gives reason for the years of no footage showing Tkk. They simply weren’t that close. However, even though Tkkers THEMSELVES acknowledged back in 2015-2019/20 there was a hardly any tkk footage, they are now claiming they never saw a difference in Tkk’s interactions they’ve always been the closest.!?! 🤔 

I could cite for days the moments where Tae and JK prior to In the Soop alluded to the fact that they weren’t that close anymore. Tae in Run BTS episode 10 said JK always ignores him. In BV S2 JK says he doesn’t really have deep conversations with Tae...same season he said all love was loss a long time ago between him and Tae (he was clearly being dramatic but the sentiment was there). Muster (2016 I believe) Tae complains that JK hits him too harshly all the time. Let’s not mention their awkward lives where they barely spoke to each other. But I don’t have to really give anymore proof than that because TKKERS own past theories debunks their present one...In the Soop Conversation lines up perfectly with events...and they know it and saw it. 

Taekook said they drifted apart and relationship became awkward->for years we have Tae telling us JK ignores him, JK is too harsh with him, JK saying he didn’t speak to any members other than JM and Hobi during one of their loong breaks from work--meaning not Tae. Awkward lives where they even admit it’s boring.

Taekook say they will work on their friendship--> we see them hanging out more..their on camera interactions are still awkward but you can see them working on it. We even learn they are now hanging out together more.  

The In the Soop Conversation was a genuine discussion, which I’m 100% certain they fleshed out more of the raw details off camera. Their recount of events, facial expressions, JK’s awkwardness all scream honesty.

Hybe would have to be criminal masterminds and BTS the best actors ever to keep this charade going for so long while maintaining this much consistency.

Now I can’t end this post without addressing an elephant in the room...I am actually restraining myself from keeling over with laughter at this one: Tkkers really claimed that TKK never fight.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What person on the planet can honestly think that two people who’ve known each other for 10 years have never fought!!!!! I cannot understand how people who can’t even understand basic human relationships gained so much power and popularity in this fandom!!

Yes, JK and TAe said they “never fight” after Jin accused them of arguing all the time. But to have taken that as anything other than playful banter is ridiculous! Also to find that statement more believable than them admitting to drifting apart is equally if not more ridiculous.

Friends and lovers....they all fight at one point or another. I don’t mean screaming match type fight I mean getting upset, disagreeing , arguing, needing distance etc. are all parts of 100% of human relationships. To believe that someone can know someone for longer than a year and never so much as get into an argument is beyond me! If you aren’t disagreeing or arguing with your friends or partner then I would question how close and comfortable the two of you are with each other! Like it makes zero sense that anyone would find validity in the claim that they don’t fight. Doesn’t seem like Jin believed them either...he called JK fire and Tae Ice...meaning polar opposites when in contact destroy each other. Like...I know Jin was playing but there is more truth in his words than an outrageous claim like “we never fight”

We are arguing constantly with people that possess the logic and reasoning skills of a third grader.

BTS Reunion World Tour - September 2025

According to a report issued on April 6, 2024, Korean local securities companies rushed to report that BTS will hold a reunion tour starting in September of next year, following their military service. See the video below by Journalist Kim on his k-pop Shock channel. The information on his channel is usually very accurate and timely. Turn on closed captions.

I believe the next BTS album is already complete. Bang PD announced back in October BTS will release a 10 year anniversary album after regrouping post military. The album and project is a follow-on to the HYYH - The Most Beautiful Moment in Life album series released in 2015. Those two albums showed their growth as artists, reflected their lives and who they were at that time and became the springboard into global stardom. That was one of the major projects that RM was working on that delayed his entry to the military. He was going to initially enlist when Hobi did.

I think they will have to reacclimatize to civilian life, get in concert shape and learn the new material. I think they can do so in 3 months. Enough time to begin their tour in September 2025. Like someone else said, they can easily fill a set list with 7 solo songs, some old classics (muscle memory) a couple of sub-unit songs (rappers, vocal line) and songs from the new album, 20-25 songs in total for a 2 hour show. That way, it won’t be super taxing on their bodies and voices. I personally think they will then go into semi-retirement as a group and pursue personal lives and personal projects such as solo careers, acting, writing, producing, executives with Bighit and/or Hybe. Then maybe come together every few years to perform as a group.

Honestly, no. I don't think wishing people Happy Festa is a thing within ARMY... People reminisce and all that but actually sending wishes, not really. But it's a nice gesture so I appreciate you sharing that festive energy with me.

All the Festas are sweet but something about a 10-year anniversary evokes strong memories. It's been a wild ride.

I've talked about how I became ARMY many times, but I can give an abridged version here.

I watched BTS's debut showcase No More Dream for the first time, some time in August 2013 but I don't remember which day exactly. I had heard about BTS by that point, (a lot of people had, which was unusual for a group from a small company and further shows how strong an impression they made at debut), but I didn't get around to actually watching their stuff till August.

I felt they were strong performers but had no other real opinion about them, and kinda forgot about them for a year, till their Dark & Wild comeback in August 2014.

After that album comeback, I consistently kept up with BTS but didn't really think of myself as a fan. The way I engaged with k-pop was to check out several groups I was interested in, sometimes go to their comeback shows if I was in Korea, attend KCON concerts, read Korean forums, etc. Like a fan of many groups but a stan of none, if that makes sense. So, I sort of watched BTS from the sidelines in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Throughout this time, I realized I loved every new musical output from them more than the previous one. It was clear they were improving not just their songwriting, production, exploring more genres, etc, but that they had a very distinct voice - a consistent message in their storytelling that seemed to come from their own lived experiences, for all seven members. Executed at the highest level. And that was something I had never, ever seen in k-pop or anywhere else really.

Of course, during this time, their fame, fortune, and success multiplied as well. And the latent animosity I'd observed since debut towards BTS from the wider k-pop fandom, just became more overt the more BTS became successful. That mess with EXO fans and the Blue House was particularly disgusting and soured my opinion on most fans of SM groups and the wider k-pop fandom. But by 2018, when it was clear BTS's rise was definitely stratospheric and already beyond the realm of k-pop, the gloves were off. The hostility became extremely blatant to the point k-pop stans were working with real life neo-nazis to physically assault Japanese ARMYs who were attending a concert, they were spam calling Japanese newspapers and Jewish foundations in America to put out a statement condemning BTS, and asking for the American government to blacklist BTS.

It was bonkers.

Sulli had ended her life just before the hate campaign against BTS hit a fever pitch in Fall 2018. I liked her a lot and her death shifted something in me - it made me re-evaluate my distanced, detached almost apathetic approach to k-pop beyond the music, especially regarding hate campaigns from k-pop stans that used to run completely unchecked and only escalated and became more sophisticated especially when the target was someone who broke against the norm. So, I linked up with some J-ARMY friends and we spent a weekend coordinating with local Japanese police to track down some k-pop stans working with neo nazis to assault BTS and ARMYs, and by the end of November 2018, I was calling myself an ARMY.

Nothing has really changed since then compared to how I was a fan of BTS before. Except that now, I buy their albums more consistently (it was kinda more sporadic / spontaneous before). I've never been a collector so I don't really care about PCs and what not. I educated myself on charts and fandom norms, and started watching more of their non-music content. I was already very familiar with their personalities and interpersonal quirks (jikook has stood out to me since 2015, yoonmin, namgi, namseok, and sope since 2014, and taekook since 2016 or so), but since 2018 I've found myself enjoying more of their auxiliary content though it's still not something I seek out (I still haven't watched SOOP 2 for example, lol).

Most of my friendships with fans of other k-pop groups I've maintained till now, and I still check out almost every new release in the industry when I have the time, and becoming a fan of BTS has been wonderful.

The ARMY community gets a lot of flack, like all big fandoms do, but there's a real community of genuine and smart people here that I appreciate. BTS has never disappointed me - and I had to really think before writing down that sentence. This industry is harsh, cruel. BTS had to navigate channels no k-pop group or Korean artist has had to before, they've single-handedly elevated an entire industry into the social consciousness of the wider world, and are still holding on to their relentless drive and sense of wonder.

These seven men are remarkable. They're some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. Fully dedicated to their craft and their team, artists and performers in every sense of the word. I thoroughly enjoy being a fan of the music they make, and supporting their growth as artists and people.

Happy Festa everyone! I'm treating myself to Taro ice cream topped with pistachio nuts today to celebrate. Maybe we should make this some kind of holiday lol.

heyy!! I always think it's an interesting question since I discover a lot of games in pretty interesting ways so, do you remember your first encounter with life is strange?? what or who was your motivation to start the game or read into it more?

actually my first proper encounter was due to an irl friend of mine, i can’t recall exactly the scenario (my memory is ass) but it was september of last year and i saw them posting a ton of edits and content. we ended up meeting up n i was interested in playing it, i was specifically interested in nathan despite knowing nothing (unsurprisingly) and it just completely consumed my brain from then on. we met up again recently and i played a majority of bts, which i love a lot more than the original (mostly due to rachel.) i’ve managed to convince my bf to download both so i can force him to play them too LOL

i did have knowledge of the game back in 2015 but i was too far in the fnaf rabbit hole to remotely care about it, plus i was a little edgelord asshole and probably wouldn’t have appreciated the same way i do now. i do wish i was active when it first released though, i would’ve loved to actually be apart of the og fandom. although being a nathan enjoyer and kin i think i’d get desecrated BUT id take that chance

The Receipts: Anna Faris Unqualified Podcast

We need some levity and diversion up in this shithouse! Let's start the trip down Mr Dumb Dick Decisions Memory Lane!!

OMG, the Anna Faris: Unqualified podcast. The favor for a friend that probably was equivalent to an atom bomb for poor Megan, lol.

So, the AF:U podcast at first seemed to be one of those things that helped to support the rewrite of the Chris/Jenny timeline narrative to the friendlier PR timeline, because of the fact that it released on April 5, 2016, and a lot of people assumed that meant it had been recorded like a week before.

Nah. Nah. It was recorded on February 22, 2016.

So, in February, they're already way overly familiar in both the way they talk to each other, and the way they physically interact (all that play punching and hand holding under the table, really?). And Jenny lets loose little nuggets of info like they went to see Anomalisa at the theater together (note: Anomalisa was only in the theaters in L.A. between Christmas 2015 and January 2016), thus showing they've been hanging out together frequently. Oh, but the real kicker: he breezily offers to send her a dick pic in the actual recording. Like, what? To the chick who's talking about her husband through the whole interview? Yeah, something's not kosher here.

Oh, and then there's the photos taken the day of the recording:

I know everyone goes on and on about her look to him in the group shot. But look a the way he's holding her arm in the couples shot. His pinky finger is stroking her arm.

But, wait, there's more! A short time after the podcast release, the producers of AF:U do a basic "bts" podcast of the episode (sorry, that's since been deleted). Sim, his then-gf-now-wife, and another woman are talking about the situation that has since come to life between Chris and Jenny. The women both go over how uncomfortable they were that day with the way Chris and Jenny were acting with each other. Both believed then that something was going on between them, but wrote it off because of the fact that she kept talking about her husband.

And, wait, there's even more yet! In summer 2016, Anna Faris did a Vogue interview where she said:

So, thanks Anna, thanks. Thanks for outing that.

But wait, there's even more than that!!!

So, that timeline... so Anna's saying "a week and a half or two weeks later", but could it have been sooner than she's remembering? Because, three days after the podcast recorded, Jenny posted this to her IG while she was alone in NYC to do promo for Zootopia:

Your heart has a future heart-mate, Jenny? Doesn't your heart have a husband?

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

I could not find full translated video of 20150629 SBS radio interview (there is translation available for first 15 minutes of it but not entire video), Also i could not find translated video of KBS 7th July 2015 radio interview. Could you kindly help me in finding translated videos please? Watching original videos give such different perspective on Jikook. I still stuggle with how to search your previous data. (Not so internate frindly person) . Thank you so much for your help in making this journy into BTS simple for people like me.

Idk where jikook stand as a friends right now like close? Yes they are but like closest? Idk anymore.

The question I'm asking is because for me he seemed pretty closest to jm than other members then why does so many people in this fandom does not think like that? More importantly why the jk biased people are mostly taekookers and hates jm? Like if you're a jk biased can't you see he's close to jm the most?

I wanted to write more but my mind is not working currently so that is all i wanna ask that why do mostly jk biased are tkkrs and hates jm. I wanted an opinion of jk biased or just an ot7 and not a jikooker that's why asked you if you're a jikooker.

Sorry, I didn't think you were talking about Jikook... I'm a Jikooker, but Jinkook is tied with Jikook as my favorite dynamic - a platonic one. I'm not a shipper. I only believe in Jikook, though that makes me sound like a shipper to a lot of people haha. I'm probably not who you wanted to answer this question, but I'll give it a shot anyway!

V and Jungkook are the most popular members and Taekook the most popular ship, so it makes sense that statistically there are more Taekookers who are Jungkook biased than Jikookers... And a lot of Tkkrs hate Jimin because of the competitiveness between the ships.

I also think, as a Jungkook biased Army, that it's beyond obvious that Jikook are extremely close. You could argue that in the early days, and maybe in chapter 2, Vkook are closer - because there's so much content between them, - but, like you said, ITS showed they weren't as close as they could've been until recently. Given Jungkook's history with Jimin and V, and all the little Jikook moments we still get (such as Jungkook mentioning and interacting with Jimin, watching his videos, singing his songs, etc.) it's clear as day that Jungkook adores Jimin. But I get that Vkook are besties now, which is great. However, Jimin and Jungkook are very private and have really different schedules right now. It doesn't mean they're any less close.

I don't know. It's just so obvious that I don't know what to say? Anyone who's watched BTS content should know Jikook are attached at the hip, and that there are always periods of no content, followed by a flood of Jikook content, upon which we suddenly realize Jikook were attached at the hip all along but we didn't see it. Memories 2020 and 2021 come to mind.

My mind isn't working right now either, sorry, but, yeah, Jikook are still the closest imo, although Vkook are much closer now - which is great!!

In the past, do you mean before 2015? From at least 2016 onward Jikook seem extremely close. I became Army in 2019 so there's a lot I don't know. But even in their pre-debut and rookie days Jikook were close. They've told so many stories about hanging out together while everyone else slept, being late night buddies, sharing their struggles, etc.. I mean, Jimin convinced Jungkook to stay in the group when he came back from the US and wanted to dance. And Jungkook has always really admired Jimin's work ethic and now he devoted himself in his trainee days. Jimin has adored Jungkook from day 1. Their early v-logs are almost embarrassing. Jimin was besotted.
