Aaaaaaaa thank you for the ask friend!! I love this idea!!! So I pictured this in a Modern!AU where the pair is at a coffee shop waiting on their order. The Boy puts his arm around them and the person next to them just sneers and goes “Can y’all get a room? Or at least be with someone nice to look at?” OBVIOUSLY referring to y/n with just a palpable amount of spite and venom.

Dick Winters

I see him just hugging you tighter and maybe turning his back to the guy, like, if he's gonna be an ass about Dick's favorite person he doesn't deserve the time of day. He'd say something so sweet too like, “if you think anyone could be more beautiful than them, you need to get your eyes checked,” before planting a kiss on your cheek and grabbing your drinks.

Lewis Nixon

I can see him definitely getting irritated but also seeming kinda baffled? Like I can see him just saying something like, “Are you serious right now? You see how gorgeous they are, right? Who hurt you, man?” Like he’d be so genuine about it too, even scoffing and shaking his head while y’all walk out with your drinks - like, how tf can someone say that about the most perfect human on earth???

Ron Speirs

I have a strong feeling that the guy’s words leave his mouth before he saw Ron, because I just imagine the dude being Christianson in Bastogne, like, he see’s Speirs’ face and just feels as though he has Met His End. So all Speirs does is put his arm around you and say, “you wanna try that again?” the guy just stutters and replies, “you make a lovely couple,” before scurrying away. I can soooo see Ron just having a smug smile on his face before giving you a kiss.

Harry Welsh

Ok so considering this man got demoted from sergeant to private three (3) different times due to getting in fights I have a feeling he would just be like “OH ITS THAT KINDA PARTY HUH? YOU WANNA TRY SAYING THAT AGAIN ASSHOLE??” Like this dude could be twice Harry’s size but your Boy can and will throw hands to defend you and he’s not afraid to get hurt while doing it. 10/10 needs you to help with his bruised knuckles after but he apologizes and y’all enjoy your drinks (specifically savoring it because y’all got banned from the coffee shop).

Eugene Roe

I feel like this could go two ways - A) he tells the guy off (“why don’t you mind your business asshole”), holds you close to him, and grabs your drinks without saying a word, or B) he grabs you by the waist and just goes to town trying to merge your mouths into one. This man would just do everything in his power to put on display his love and passion for you. Soon enough the dude will get weirded out and leave, but not before Doc performs award-winning CPR.

Bill Guarnere

Oh boy we got Party Boy #2 over here. “Why don’t you shut ya yap before I shut it for ya?” Your mans would square up to the dude no questions asked. If the dude steps down, Bill would just say, “yeah, that’s what I thought,” before proudly putting his arm around you. If the dude makes a poor decision and steps up to Guarnere… next thing you know poor Bill is apologizing to you while you hold his cold brew up to his black eye to keep the swelling down… the dude apologized though! All thanks to Ol’ Gonorrhea.

Joe Toye

I feel like his reaction is betwixt Guarnere and Nixon. Like, for one thing, he’s genuinely confused. He just gives the dude his classic Eyebrows before pulling you close to him. At first he won’t say anything, but if the dude keeps going he’ll just say to him in a low voice, “you looking for a fight pal?” Honestly that would be enough to scare the dude away while Joe just hugs you tight and kisses your temple before the barista calls your names.

George Luz

This boy would twist the dude’s words perfectly. “Oh you’re absolutely right, they could get someone WAY hotter than me!” before smirking over at you. You can’t help but give George a playful smack on the chest before laughing with him and laying your head on his shoulder… then he’d totally just look at you and think “how’d I get so lucky???” we love a silly soft boi

Joe Liebgott

Fighty Boy #3 and you can’t tell me otherwise. It’d be similar to Guarnere on the ship - he’d have to make sure he heard the dude right at first… “What’d you just say?” like you can feel his angy levels rising by the second. The dude just goes, “you heard me,” and before anyone can even blink the dude is knocked out on the ground, like, the swifest punch known to man and it came from your boyfriend (kinda hot ngl) and you just give him a Look before he smirks and kisses the air from your lungs and… why were you mad at him again? And why are you getting thrown out of the cafe???

Floyd Talbert

Ok so remember how Roe gave you life-saving CPR? Tab’s first instinct is life-taking CPR, like, this man just glares at the dude before pulling you close by your waist (and maybe a hand on your ass because its Tab) and just going to TOWN on your lips, neck, wherever he can reach just to show the idiot dude how in love with you he is and how stupid he was to make that comment… of course instinctively your hands to Tab’s hair and y’all just get Lost in the Sauce and when the barista calls y’all’s names you don’t even hear them.

Shifty Powers

Asdf sweet baby angel would just hold you close and whisper to you, “I’m sorry you had to hear that, you don’t believe him right?” Just keeping all his attention on you and hugging you close with both arms just lovingly wrapped around you, both of y’all forget everything else exists and you just happily hold each other for a bit before you get your drinks (this is all unless shifty has his rifle then the dude’s Time Has Come courtesy of Darrell C. Powers).

The HP Epilogue: JKR's trashfire ending to a trash book series

I was reading snippets from the epilogue for the first time and everything about the epilogue is just frustrating. And I want to share things I found intolerable about it to let off steam. These are MY opinions so if you feel differently, I am happy for you. But here is a summary of my gripes.

The names of the Hinny Harry's kids

James Sirius. Albus Severus. Lily Luna. I can empathize with wanting to honour people you love by naming your kids after them...but this is just overkill. Not one of Harry's kids has an original name. Not one! And I said Harry's kids because it seems like Ginny had absolutely no input in the names. If I am being generous, maybe the Luna name was hers, but given the naming pattern of the kids, I am sure that Luna references Lupin and not Luna Lovegood. Sometimes I feel as if Harry has a domineering vibe in Hinny and the kids' names are not doing any favours to combat that. Not surprising as everything about the Hinny romance was dictated by Harry's wants. Who cares about Ginny?

Muggleborne discrimination is bad but pureblood discrimination is A-ok

‘You’re right, sorry,’ said Ron, but unable to help himself, he added, ‘don’t get too friendly with him, though, Rosie. Granddad Weasley would never forgive you if you married a pure-blood.’

I could not believe my eyes when I read this. It's like Ron forgot that HIS family is pureblood! It's the same vibe as a black parent telling their black or mixed kid not to marry another black person! Luna is pureblood! Neville is pureblood! Do the Weasleys have some kind of self-hatred?? Another point to purebloods slowly dying out but who cares? As far as JKR is concerned, the wizards should be aiming to all be mutts with mixed blood :)

BTW the Scorpius/Rose pairing fills me with revulsion. I like Albus and Scorp as friends though! But not so much as lovers.

Marriage is the only way to be truly part of a family

‘Oh, it would be lovely if they got married!’ whispered Lily ecstatically. ‘Teddy would really be part of the family then!’

Got some heavy Hinny vibes from this line of dialogue. Harry did not become a true Weasley until he got with Ginny after all :)

I know Lily is a kid and she means no malice, but I truly felt disgust towards this line. It just bothers me, especially in the context of Hinny and how Ginny functions as a way for Harry to become a Weasley member. Teddy is Harry's godson, he should be like a big brother to Lily. How does becoming a cousin-in-law make him more of a family member compared to being her surrogate big bro??

Do Hogwarts alumni swear an oath of secrecy?

‘And you don’t want to believe everything he tells you about Hogwarts,’ Harry put in.

He had never told any of his children that before, and he saw the wonder in Albus’s face when he said it.

So James Sirius is telling Albus Severus exaggerated tales about Hogwarts similar to what the Weasley twins did to Ron. But how is this possible? Do the parents not talk about Hogwarts to their kids? If my kid was going to my alma mater, I would tell him/her all about the school when I went there. I don't understand why it seems like parents don't talk about Hogwarts. At least Draco's parents seem to talk to him about the school at least.

Muggle abuse is still funny Ha. Ha.

‘As a matter of fact, I did Confund him,’ Ron whispered to Harry, as together they lifted Albus’s trunk and owl on to the train. ‘I only forgot to look in the wing mirror, and let’s face it, I can use a Supersensory Charm for that.’

Remember that Ron is an Auror! A wizarding cop! But nah muggles are still lesser than wizards so even a guy like Ron who's supposed to be a good hero character feels no shame in messing with their autonomy. Ron is literally so disgusting in the epilogue. Never thought I would end HP finding Ron the least tolerable of the trio when Ron is usually my fav of the 3. Not that the bar is very high for the other two.

JKR really does not like Draco

His hair was receding somewhat, which emphasised the pointed chin.

Of course, JKR can't end the series without throwing more shade at Draco. He's rocking the middle-aged man look, only has one kid and has a love interest that we know squat about. And then in CC, Draco's wife dies! Sigh, I really hate Drastoria...

All is not well

There is still house discrimination. Magical creatures likely still have fewer rights. Aurors like Ron and everyday wizards abuse their powers against muggles. Purebloods are dying out. Wizards like Albus act like they did not grow up in a magical world, aka wizards still have low brain cell counts. But sure, Harry's scar is fine so ALL IS WELL!

I can't believe there are people out here calling JKR a good writer! I see the vast potential of the book series and I feel so sad sometimes. I am so happy that HP never existed in my childhood.

There is a good and a bad side to being a celebrity. 

Of course, people see the glamorous side first, the red carpets, the awards, the luxurious hotels, the money... and you are not going to lie. Yeah, it's great ! But there is also a darker side to putting your life in the spotlight. And especially on a band as famous as One Direction. 

For example, the lack of privacy, all the boys and you have been the victims of gossip magazines and rumors on social media the second you did something. You went out to a club ? You were an alcoholic! You went to grab lunch with a guy ? You guys were dating (even if the guy was your cousin.. and yes that still made your family laugh during the holidays) and so on and so on.. Being followed everywhere was also hard sometimes, because as much as you loved meeting fans, sometimes you just wanted to go to Starbucks without causing a riot. But the worst? THE ACTUAL WORST. Was the paparazzi. 

You didn't mind them at events, behind a line far from you, but when you were swarmed that was something else. Because let's be honest, nobody likes being pushed around, tripped, and blinded by flashes after a 12-hour flight. And as much as your team tries, unfortunately, sometimes they can't stop them from finding you. 

You were just getting out of a 20hrs+ flight from London to Sydney, on which you slept and talk with the boys. You were ready to get off the jet but before you could you saw Paul, frowning at his phone. 

You alright Paul ? you asked 

I'm fine, but I'm going to have to ask you guys to be careful out there fans and paparazzi are here. 

Oh shit ! Should we split up ? 

A little, go by three's. Louis, Liam, and Harry. and Zayn, Y/N, and Niall. And you will be in different cars, please watch out for each other.

That made you stress a little. You had never been a huge fan of crowded places, and having anxiety attacks at the beginning of the rise of the band, was a reminder enough that you were not going to enjoy the next hour. You always felt better with one of the guys next to you and often ended up holding their hands to help keep you calm. You knew Zayn and Niall, were not going to let you get lost, but still, you had a weird feeling in your stomach. You also knew that the three of you would look out for each other because none of you were good being surrounded by a big crowd.

You grab your backpack, checking that your cap was on your head and your sunglasses on your nose and let out a deep breath. But before you exited the plane, you felt a hand softly grab your wrist.

Angel, be careful out there. Stay with Zayn and Niall ok ? 

Don't worry daddy direction, you won't lose me in the crowd, you said smiling. But it was no use trying to hide your anxiety, your boys knew you too well. 

You exited the plane less than 5 minutes after Liam, Louis and Harry. The airport seemed calm, and you were surrounded by security from your team and the airport. But as soon as you saw the door to the outside, and the hundreds of flashes and started to hear the screams of fans, the anxiety started again. You grabbed Niall's hand tight, knowing that he was feeling anxious too.

And once you walked through the doors, it was chaos. Absolute chaos. 

You couldn't see anything other than white flashes or hear something because high pitch screams filled your ears. 

Y/N ! Y/N ! Look here please ! 

You saw fans being pushed around and pressed against each other. Cameras flying around trying to get a picture. You apologized to the fans because you couldn't stop to talk or take pictures. After all, if you stopped you were afraid you would get hurt, and they seemed to understand the situation because they started to try and clear a path between the paparazzi, asking them to move, but apparently, a grown man being told to move by teenage girls was too much for the ego. And. they started to push even more and shout at you. 

That's when you saw it. A young girl, probably 14-15 years old, tumbling to the ground. And by pure instinct, you let go of Niall's hand to help her up. That was a BIG mistake. The second you let go of his hand, he turned around to see what had happened, but he couldn't go back to you, it was almost like walking against the current. He started shouting your name to your security team, but he just saw you disappear in a sea of people. 

You on the other hand were so focused on the young girl who was starting to cry that you didn't realize that you were now surrounded by paparazzi and fans with no security. You crouched on the ground to try and help her up, and that was your second mistake because the second you lowered yourself next to her you were roughly pushed around, making you fall hard on your knees. Wincing as your knees bumped on the pavement, you looked at the girl reaching your hands to her. 

Hi love, grab my hands, Are your ok ? But you couldn't reach her, because a hand had grabbed you, hard. That's when it started, a game of being pulled around in different directions, you felt hands over your arms, your cap being ripped from your head and voices shouting. 

Y/N ! Y/N ! A picture ! Smile sweetheart! Come on ! 

You couldn't breath. You couldn't see. Your arms and hands were covered in scratches, and your knees bleeding. 

Please, can you let me through ? Please I'm just trying to go to the car. Please.

And as much as the fans tried to get them to back away, shouting at them that you were a human being, that you were hurting, they still took pictures, swarming you like ravens.

What you didn't see was the boys reaction. They were in front of you. Way closer to the cars, when they heard the fans. Liam was the first to notice when a fan told him something had happened to you. 

You need to help Y/N, she's hurt !

That made him stop walking and look around trying to spot you. But he couldn't see you. That's when you shouted at Louis.

Lou, do you see Y/N ? 

The oldest of the band whipped around. Not seeing you. And began to shout at Paul. 

Paul ! Where is Tiny ? 

That got the attention of the rest of the band. That was also when they saw Niall struggling to walk back to the airport. 

SHE OVER HERE ! PAUL FUCK SHE'S ON THE GROUND ! 

The fans picked up on it and started shouting at the paparazzi to leave you alone, trying to push them away. But you were still on the ground, having fallen for the third time, hanging your head low, tears streaming down your face. You heard your name being shouted. While half of the security team was trying to make their way to you. 

You saw Scott, one your bodyguards making his way to you. He finally was able to grab you gently around the waist, hosting you up. 

It's ok tiny, I got you. I got you. he whispered in your ear, when you wrapped your arms around his neck, hiding your face, hot tears still streaming down your face. 

Wrap your legs around me, and I'll get you to the cars, darling. 

You had no energy left in you, you just nodded, your face still hidden in his neck. 

He pulled you through the crowd, shouting, telling everyone to back off. And as you made your way closer to the car, you heard the boys, well mostly Louis and Zayn, shouting at the paps. Paul tried to usher them into the car but to no avail. 

What the fuck is wrong with you people ? For a fucking picture ? You fooking loosers ! I'm gonna break your fucking cameras, get them out of our faces for fuck sake! 

Finally, after what felt like hours, you were dropped inside the car, but that didn't make you lighten your grip on Scott's neck. 

It's ok princess, your safe. You let go slowly, seeing the faces of the boys, worry written all over them.

And then, you were swarmed, but this time it didn't scare you. It was full of love. 

Jesus, Angel are you ok ? 

What happened ? 

Babe you're bleeding ! 

Those fookers, Angel, you ok ? 

And as traumatizing as this experience was, you could only, whisper one thing, as the car started pulling away from hell. Still in shock. 

Oh, I lost my cap..

That lightened the tension. You heard chuckles and saw smiles on their faces. 

Oh Angel !

And you were hugged all over, them whispering sweet things, reassuring you, promising you you'll be ok. 

So yes, celebrity was not always a dream life. But as long as you got your boys, what could go wrong ?

“morning, sleepyhead.” he said and you groaned softly.

“give me five more minutes.”

he chuckled softly, pushing the covers back, “i would but we promised we’d meet harry and mj at noon.”

he looked down at your pajama shorts that had a little red spot on them and a little bit of it had gotten on his sheets.

“baby, you’re bleeding.”

you sat up and groaned, looking down at the bedsheets where you were previously laying. you groaned softly, immediately starting to strip the bed.

“fuck,” you mumbled, peter standing up and walking over to you, “i’m sorry. i’m so sorry-“

“hey,” he grabbed your hands and turned you to face him, “dont apologize. nothing to be sorry for.”

“i literally just bled on your bedsheets.”

“that’s not something you can control, baby,” he said, “it’s okay, i’ve got peroxide and a washing machine.”

you groaned, letting him pull you into a hug, “i hate being a woman.”

he chuckled, “i know,” he pressed a kiss to your hair, “how about we throw this stuff in the wash and then get a shower?”

Tonight’s the night, JJ your longtime friend is once again boxing. You were nervous to say the least, he was going against Tommy, Tommy Fury. So of course you were nervous, so was the boys but you were confident JJ could find the confidence he would need to beat Tommy.

You looked back over your outfit, you wore a black dress (or a outfit of ur choice). You looked stunning, currently you were sitting in the mini van on your way to the stadium. You were sat next to Harry, resting your head onto his shoulder trying by to ease the nerves. Harry looked down and saw you fidgeting with your hands, so being a good friend he placed his hand on yours. Feeling like it would help your nerves he held you hand. That’s the thing about you and the boys relationship, just because you are friends doesn’t mean you weren’t aloud to hold a hand or hug them. That’s what you enjoyed about being friends with them. Harry spoke “don’t worry, you know JJ will do well.” You nodded and said “I know, I’ve always been like this since the Joe Weller fight.” You chuckled a little remembering JJ’s first time boxing.

Turning up outside the event, Harry helped you out the van. Seeing all your friends together made your nerves ease somewhat. You stayed close to the boys as you knew these events can be overcrowded. Getting into the building you guys made your way to the bar you vip people could go to. You said your hellos and took a few photos with fans as you made your way to the bar.

Finally getting into the quieter vip lounge, you heard Ethan shout “Y/n! Want a drink?” You nodded and replied “the usual please!” He nodded as he asked for your drink. Walking over you said “nice view of the ring anyways.” Ethan said “yeah, considering we couldn’t go ringside, it’s a nice view.” He handed you your drink which you thanked him.

Talking with the girls, you all made up some time. After watching a few of the fights, Simon placed a hand on your shoulder and spoke “come with me, JJ wants to see you.” You nodded. He wanted to see you not just because your friends. But you helped him get into boxing as you grew up in the sport. JJ admired you when it came to the sport as you were so passionate and knowledgeable about it. Your dad grew up on it too so you and your father helped JJ along side his team.

Walking into the changing room, you saw his team. Then JJ appeared from behind two people. Once he spotted you he smiled “Hey Y/n,” you smiled walking over to him “Hi JJ, how you feeling?” He nodded “good, I feel ready” you smiled “great, remember everything we’ve fought you.” He always listened to your mini speech before leaving the changing room. You said “no matter the outcome, you know if you’ve worked hard enough that you have one yourself over. If you feel your not doing something right, then that’s probably why, so when you hear the bell ring, go back to your corner and think of what is happening and then go back in the round a new man, ok?” He nodded feeling more confident. “Just remember JJ.. the boys, your team, your fans and myself are proud of you no matter what. Remember that you deserve to be the best version of yourself no matter what cause at the end of the day; you are the one that needs to be lost proud of yourself whatever the outcome may be.” He nodded. You lastly said “you know what I always say.” JJ replied “if you’ve worked hard enough then you’ve won mentally.” You nodded and gave him a hug then a kiss on his forehead “good luck JJ, do what you do best!” He smiled “thank you.” You waved goodbye as you headed back to the box.

After two more boxing matches, it was now JJ vs Tommy. You and everyone in the box watched closely as the two men did their walk outs. You watched closely as the round started.

*time skip (sos I don’t know that much of boxing so I don’t wanna waffle to you guys about something that may not even be right😂)*

You all felt on the edge of your seats as you wait for an arm to be lifted to declare who won. You held you hand with Faith as you were so nervous. From your view, you saw Tommy’s arm being lifted and hearing that he too had won. You hand fell faint in Faith’s hand. You felt so gutted for JJ, gosh you watched how hard he had worked for this and for it to be thrown away. You and the boys knew what he’s like when it comes to losing or at least when he’s worked hard for y and it not going his way. You all were mixed emotions on this, it seemed too wrong to be true.

After everyone was going to different places, you headed towards the changing room. You went over to JJ, you could hear him going on about the whole thing was rigged. The only thing that could calm him down was, you. (Sos cheesy ik)

You walked over to the two chairs, doing what you dad used to you with you when you were younger and had lost a boxing match. You grabbed the medical equipment and scissors. You took a seat and called him over “JJ, come here!” JJ looked at you and slowly walked over.

He took a seat in front of you and spoke “It was rigged! I swear Y/n!” You looked at him “listen, I know, just listen to what I have to say. I’m going to sound like my dad but just listen, ok?” He nodded. You started “I know it didn’t happen the way you wanted, life will do this. No matter how hard you work it can throw a lot of your good work away. There was a comforting silence between you two as you finished up taking the tape off of him. JJ asked “Y/n? How did you get so many wins? Like when you box” you said “honestly.. I just find something about myself or about something in general that made me angry and just built the anger up and put that into my performance.” He nodded, then he pulled you into a hug. JJ spoke “thank you for everything Y/n, really means a lot.” You nodded “anything for a friend.”

Although JJ may have ‘lost’ he knew that no matter the outcome of your proud of what you did then you can win at your own game.

- the sweater collection is absolutely off the charts! drawers and drawers of the softest sweaters ever and even more stashed in different parts of the apartment for when he or you need it. some of them are solid colors, some of them have fun little patterns, but all of them are equally as comfy bc they're his and they smell like him and every time you put one on it's like being enveloped by him even when he's not there and it's the best thing in the world.

sometimes he'll be looking for one specific sweater to wear but he just can't find it no matter how hard he looks and he's just like have you seen my green one love? i think i might've lost it. but then he looks at you at you're wearing exactly what he was looking for and he just. melts. because he loves you and because you look so cozy and comfy and cute in it and he's just like oh ☺️ you can keep it i'll grab another one ☺️ and then he comes and sits with you for the rest of the morning.

- your life with remus isn't what some people might call perfect but it's just the right fit for the two of you! your apartment is a little cluttered and the paint is chipped and yeah maybe the front door gets jammed sometimes but it's your home and you couldn't love it more. you try your best to eat dinner together and unwind from your respective days with each other and most of the time that means a bottle of cheap wine and whatever dinner you can scrounge up from what you've got on hand. sometimes you do a puzzle together, other nights you'll talk for hours, and sometimes you both just sit and do your own things in the same space (parallel play LMAO). remus always makes sure to press a kiss to whatever part of you he can reach every so often just so you know he's still there. post full moon nights are fairly quiet though. remus just wants to sleep and you let him. sometimes he wants to be alone and you let him do that too, but he knows you're right there if he needs you <3

- babysitting harry is such an ordeal, especially the first time bc i feel like it might be a spur of the moment thing? james and lily desperately need a day to themselves and sirius is out of town and euphemia and fleamont are also busy so they're like surprise you get to watch harry for the day! obv you're not gonna turn them down and at first it's awkward bc you're both just staring at harry in his little baby buggy and he's staring back at you and neither of you really know how to take care of a baby?? but then harry starts crying and it's like a flip inside remus switches. he's just like yeah i think he's tired but then little harry refuses to go to sleep and remus starts humming a song and you see him start to drift off as remus bounces him in his arms gently.

when harry wakes up uncle moony is his new favorite person so they're inseparable for the day. at one point harry bumps his head on the couch or something while he's crawling around the living room and you can both tell he's about to start bawling but remus is so quick on his feet and picks him up and does something funny so harry gets distracted and suddenly he's shaking with peals of that infectious baby laughter and you're just like what. what is this i'm feeling is this baby fever??? and you can't stop thinking about having a little remus or yourself running around the place one day. obv you've got some talking about it to do since you haven't even discussed kids yet, you don't even know if remus would want kids with everything he's had to deal with his whole life but it's worth a shot right? to have someone who's a perfect mix of you and your favorite person in the world, to be able to raise them into someone who could quite possibly change the world, even to just have someone else to love more than you love yourself.

She ended up absorbing the mind stone after it crashed on Earth and absorbed the rest of her mom’s power. Wren ended up clearing Natasha’s mind after a failed breach, killed everyone else at Shield and began her new life with Natasha until Dr. Strange got everyone killed. Instead of dying like everyone else, she was able to jump from variant to variant thanks to the two stones working together and now goes universe to universe killing Dr. Strange so he can never destroy another universe like hers.

After a huge fight with her mom she takes off this necklace her mom gave her that she said she enchanted so vampire powers would not work on her and has a tracking element. She runs off, sees Paul, the imprint shit happens and this triggers a change and after getting angry she turns into a jaguar bitch. So that necklace she got wasn’t just used to protect her from vampires and to track her location. It was also to suppress her shifter abilities. Now everyone thought shifters wouldn’t happen anymore and it was always sons, but her mom was like “imma just be careful”. It was like she had a protective bubble around her so that’s why the smell of vampires didn’t trigger her. When she took off the necklace that bubble was popped and when the imprinting shit happened it triggered her shifter gene. Basically saying “hey y’all can do this now! Hurry up to make up for lost time!” And that necklace wasn’t gonna work anymore. She’s a wolf not a jaguar because (I like it) it works differently for witches. In my head I have more lore for witches and how they used to assist the packs and also turn into animals but their animal would be a symbol of who they are as a person. The inside showing up on the outside type of thing. Maybe I’ll make a separate post rambling about it.

This increased when her father started taking her hunting, which allowed her to gain the mindset of a hunter. She meets Carlisle when he’s volunteering to help the injured in her neighborhood and finds herself enjoying his company. Her brother dies of an illness and that plus other stress drives her father to attempt to kill his wife, Minnie and himself. Luckily she survived and was turned by Carlisle, who she’d grown close to by then. She was 18 and is the first adopted daughter he gets. Over the years their relationship went downhill because of multiple situations I don’t wanna ramble about here (maybe I will on another post), but it all comes crashing down when Jasper and Alice arrive. After finding out Jasper was a proud Confederate, she gets into an argument with Carlisle and says he has to leave. This leads to an ultimatum; they stay or she stays. Carlisle continues making excuses and she leaves. She has her own solo shit she’s doing but if we skip all that and look at the books, she’s an ally sometimes. She is still angry with them and keeps her distance but they reunite and there’s some of them she cares about and doesn’t want to die, which causes her to become a temporary ally. This is the best way I can summarize this. I have an embarrassing amount of lore in my head for her.

She also has experienced being over sexualized like many other girls and it always being her fault has been drilled into her head. When she is sent to camp and claimed by Aphrodite, she hates it. She doesn’t hate her cabin mates but she, like others, mistakenly believe that Aphrodite only represents sex and she blames her for all the sexualization she’s faced. She is desperate to prove that she can be more and throws herself into situations that are way too big for only her to handle. She has to figure out what Aphrodite means to her, how to love herself as she is, how to get her inner light back and has to learn how to recognize that she is a victim and that creeps exist. It is not her job to make sure they keep their comments and hands to themselves.

RotT ranting ‘cause I need to express my unhappiness.

JIM YOU COMPLETE FUCKING IDIOT!

There is a whole ass 20 min long ep in Trollhunters called ‘Unbecoming’ exploring the question/insecurity of “What if Jim wasn’t the Trollhunter?” The answer clearly shown in the episode is “The whole world will go to shit, and in the end Jim is the Trollhunter, Amulet or not.”

Ya hear that Jim? AMULET or NOT.

So why is it that the 1st thing young Jimmy does when the Amulet breaks is go, “Oh no but can i be a hero without the Amulet?😱” Bitch EXCUSE ME??

Where did all that character development go huh? Up Gunmar’s fat asshole? ‘Cause no way are the writers doing this arc again that they already did very well in a series explicitly dedicated to Jim alone, without the time limit of a movie and the need to include sixty million other main characters from the other shows and all their separate arcs.

But apparently, the writers collectively decided to have selective amnesia that day and completely forgot about the episode dedicated to Jim’s insecurities and doubts. Nice going writers.

And then. And THEN. They have the audacity to take Toby - ma boi TP - and make it so the only thing he can do to help is sacrifice himself for the cause, and then die. Yes, you heard that right. They kill off Toby for shock value.

What. The. Fuck.

Toby is so much more than just the support guy who dies to give the movie a dark edgy “deep” ending. He’s Jim’s best friend, the steady accepting rock that Jim is lost without. It’s not a happy ending if Toby’s not in it. Jim would be broken. But I guess that was probably the point, huh. “Oh no, one of the main chs died, this movie really does have consequences!”

Except it actually doesn’t, because they almost immediately scrap that. See, after Toby’s tragic death - which btw I legit didn’t see coming and was completely confused by. And this wasn’t shock or denial from grief, this was just plain scepticism and confusion. Huh? Ok so did Toby just… die? It’s not a fake-out for drama?

I just sat there for a few minutes waiting for the film to clarify. And then when I realised yes, they did actually kill Toby, I waited a bit more for the film to pull something out of its ass to retcon this. Which it did. And boy was it some retcon.

Time travel. Yep. You heard right, but I’m going to write it again anyway: They used time travel.

Now time travel on its own isn’t a show breaker. Hell, it’s used quite effectively in many stories and movies. Harry Potter PoA case in point. So time travel as a concept isn’t bad. It’s when the time travel breaks the timeline, already existing lore, character development, character integrity, stakes, suspension of disbelief, and makes you feel like nothing you watched mattered, that it becomes bad. Which RotT does. And it’s a dumpster fire.

Jim travels back in time, not to the moment before Toby’s sacrifice, which would have invalidated that sacrifice but might have been bearable. Not to the beginning of the movie, which would have been a bit weird but bearable. No. Go big or go home right? He goes all the way back to Trollhunters Season 1 Episode 1 ‘Becoming’. The beginning of the fucking series.

In case you don’t realise what a colossal screw up this is, let me lay out the situation for you.

So, y’know all those characters you know and love? Y’know how you love them because you’ve seen them grow from idealistic normal kids to responsible and dependable badasses? Y’know how you put your time into watching 88 episodes and 1 movie? Y’know how you witnessed 34 hours of these characters learning and growing and interacting together? Y’know all the highs and lows, the tears and the smiles, the laughs and the cringes, the heartbreak and wholesome? The journey these characters, and this world, has taken? The moments and episodes and people and places you know and have grown to care about?

Well. Take all that, wrap it up really nicely with a bow on top, sign ‘My Childhood’ on it, and then just kinda… throw it in the trash. And then crush it under a trash compactor. And then light the resulting piece of shit on fire.

According to the writers and world and lore and canon, those 88 episodes? They don’t exist. None of that has happened, except in Jim’s head. It’s kinda like the ‘it was all a dream’ stories, but almost worse because that dream is going to happen again.

We know what’s going to happen. Doing it again will feel cheap and boring and flat. Those characters we like ‘cause of character development? Not there anymore. We’re stuck with the simple boring normal versions of them again. And we’ll have to watch them go through the same things as if for the first time just to get to the characters we like. Only it won’t be for the first time. And we’ll know that.

Why would we want this? Writers? Hello? Someone answer me, because I don’t know the reason myself! Why in the everloving shit would we ever want to retcon 32 hours of viewing experience, just to do it all. Over. Again. There is no reason. Because we don’t want to.

Hell, even Jim probably doesn’t want to! The writers made it so he still remembers everything, so do you know how much trauma this guy probably has by now? Let’s see:

Claire getting possessed and trying to kill him, Draal being killed, Merlin trying to kill him, Jim killing his humanity, the sun trying to kill him, Morgana trying to kill him.

The Green Knight trying to kill him, Arthur trying to kill him, Guards trying to kill him, Aaarrrgghh trying to kill him, the Arcane Order trying to kill him, Jim trying to kill his friends, Merlin being killed, Jim being killed. Nari trying to kill him, Numora being killed, Strickler being killed, Archie and Charlemagne being killed, the world being killed, Toby being killed.

Yeahhh. He’s got trauma. He’s got trauma for days. Hey, you know what’s great for someone who has trauma? Putting them back into the traumatic situation and doing it again! I’m sure their mental health won’t completely crumble under the stress. This is going to go great! Not.

And that’s not even the worst part. Haha ohhh no!

The worst part - by FAR - is that this stupid garbage excuse for a movie not only forgets about ‘Unbecoming’ once, but twice.

During the bulk of the movie, Jim struggles with feeling like he can’t be a hero without the Amulet. During the end of the movie though, after Jim’s successfully time travelled to the writers’ heart’s content, Jim forgets the other major lesson of Unbecoming, the part about what happens if Jim isn’t the Trollhunter. Don’t remember? Here’s a friendly reminder from before:

“The whole world will go to shit, and in the end Jim is the Trollhunter, Amulet or not.”

Did you catch that first part? Ahem.

“THE WHOLE WORLD WILL GO TO SHIT.”

If Jim is not the Trollhunter, if he does not pick up the Amulet and stop the Bridge from forming, and kill Bular and Gunmar and Angor Rot, the whole world goes to complete, absolute, no holds barred, shit. And what does Jim do at the end of the movie, having seen in terrifying detail exactly what that kind of future is? Why, he makes Toby the Trollhunter of course!

I- I can’t. I just can’t with this movie. How-? Why-? Just why. Why do this? Jim, you remember what happened last time you refused the call, right? You- you do remember, right??

Killahead opens. Bular is still alive. Gunmar and the whole Gumm Gumm army is free. Arcadia’s population of humans is eaten alive. Trollmarket is overrun. There are Changelings and Goblins and all kinds of Darklands creatures everywhere. No-one can kill Gunmar because the Amulet is broken, which means no Eclipse Armor.

Merlin’s staff is most likely taken by the bad guys, since the Amulet can’t lead any GGs to it first. Merlin is crushed to death without waking. Morgana is freed. The Eternal Night is upon us. Humanity is eaten. The Arcane Order turns everything back to the Stone Age with no one to stop them. The Arkiridians land on Earth and are probably killed. There goes Arkiridian-5’s royal family. General Morando becomes Gaylen and battles the Arcane Order for ultimate supremacy over the Universe.

This is the Bad Timeline. Everything sucks.

Jim. Jim buddy. Buddy ol’ pal. Jimbo. Why in the everloving fuck would you do this? It’s official, I think the writers have amnesia. They forgot that whole episode, apparently it wasn’t there.

And wait a minute- who ever said Jim could give the Amulet to Toby in the first place? It’s not, like, really his choice? Sure he rejected it in ‘Unbecoming,’ but that was mainly Merlin’s choice to make Draal the Trollhunter instead of Jim to teach Jim a lesson. Key word: Merlin’s choice. Because it’s Merlin’s Amulet, and he chooses who the next Trollhunter is.

Why would Merlin choose Toby just because he sacrificed himself in the future? Toby is, no offence Toby, not a logical choice to be Trollhunter. At this point in the story he’s not very fit, doesn’t seem to want the kind of adventure Jim does in the first episode, and he doesn’t have any fighting skills.

It’s only Jim’s expertise in cooking that lets him live in that first battle with Bular. Toby doesn’t have cooking skills. He will die on the first night, and then the Amulet will choose Jim again, but this time he’ll have even more added trauma.

And let's put aside the plot relevance of how much of a horrifying choice anyone who’s not Jim having the Amulet is for a sec. Plot aside, Jim as a character would never in his LIFE give Toby the Amulet. Because it’s not just a glowing amulet with cool armour and a sword for someone who’s worthy.

It’s a burden.

It’s a burden and a responsibility. It’s a lifelong commitment to putting others first. To making hard choices and having to live with the consequences of them in the aftermath. To giving every part of yourself, to sacrificing everything you are, so that someone else can be saved. Two worlds on the Trollhunter’s shoulders. Human and Troll.

That weight is something Jim has not wanted so many times. He’s admitted or complained or sighed or yelled that sometimes he wants to get to be a normal kid, live longer than high school, not worry about someone trying to kill him or someone else all the time.

The Trollhunter doesn’t get that luxury. Rule number one: Always be afraid. The Trollhunter can never stop being afraid. Their whole life from this point until DEATH is dedicated to this destiny of fear and hunting and protection.

Jim, who cares for and loves his best friend as a brother, would never ever push that kind of life and responsibility onto Toby and call it something good. The sole reason Jim went back in time at all was to save Toby. There is NO universe in which Jim willingly and happily then takes Toby’s life and shoves him into the path of Bular, and Strickler, and Angor Rot, and Gunmar.

And the icing on the fucked up cake is that the only way Jim managed to kill Gunmar was by turning into a troll. By giving up his life as a human teenager with a human family. By becoming a species with a lot of instincts and traits most others would label as monster. By giving up his life in the sun. By giving up part of his humanity.

Jim would NEVER force Toby into having to make that kind of choice. And I am ashamed of the writers who thought that he would.

I am not trying to change your (or anyone’s) mind about how they feel about Harry atm (lord knows it has been a looonnng 3 years of some nonsense). I will say that’s why I always try to keep some distance generally bc we don’t know this man, really - the good or bad parts. I do worry some people unstanning now (not you, specifically, sunny!) might fall into the trap of being a hater stan - still interested, but now thinking that everything about Harry is fake and his sole mission in life is to pretend to be nice while actively intentionally hurting people, only caring about money, etc.

All celebs live in a different reality and some are truly gross and depraved people/criminals but I don’t see that Harry deserves those labels yet. I’m actively willing to be wrong about Harry - but I’m ok for now knowing there are shades of gray in all of us and pressures/forces/things hanging over his head I don’t know about or understand so I’m giving him some grace but keeping my eyes open. And as for his industry friends - I mean, I don’t think he and lizzo are close friends (just promo buddies) and the azoffs are his friends but with their working relationship they also know a LOT about him so that also becomes tricky for me because the power dynamic at least when he initially became friendly with them was way off. Same with James in some ways who is rude/off putting/annoying but also to my knowledge not a creep or absuser. Let’s hope his non-industry friends are lovely 🤞

I’d like to clarify that I don’t hate Harry and I would never turn into a hate account for him.

For me, I’m tired. I enjoyed the 1D days. There was something a little carefree and boyish I liked about him. He seemed a bit more down to Earth, even when he started getting involved more with fashion and high profile celebrities etc. I feel as if he carried himself kind of similarly through 2020, with of course changes but I was willing to accept those (ie the shroom story in RS).

In my opinion, there was some kind of shift in 2021. I’m not pointing fingers at Olivia btw although I certainly think she was inadvertently lumped into it. I spent literally like 2 years defending this man lmao and I stand by it. I don’t think he’s an awful person but from then until now he’s carried over a bit of that shift in personality (from what I can observe - again this is just MY opinion) that I thought would disappear. And tbh, I’m tired of it.

I don’t want to waste my time talking about how “well even though Harry does this it doesn’t mean he’s terrible”. I agree but there are some patterns he hasn’t gotten rid of and I don’t want to defend him every day when I literally did that for like 2 years. He doesn’t deserve my energy. It’s tiring to defend every single thing. I think most of us are on the same page anyway so rehashing everything (like who he’s friends with or why he’s doing pap walks) is tiring.

Robaire - Robaire would definitely be more into costumes that make him look good. He wouldn’t primarily choose a goofy costume unless T forces him into it. Some costumes I could picture Robaire wearing would be:

an Angel (lol)

Like these wings with a halo and probably some kind of skimpy/sheer shirt of some sort, but maybe he wouldn’t even wear a shirt which gains scoffs and eye rolls from Z and Jesse.

Ok also I could picture him doing the same thing except with devil horns and a tail (and a bow tie lmao).

I could see him dressed as a vampire with the fangs and the blood, and the neck ruffle and vest, but he obviously would not wear a shirt underneath smh.

Jesse - Jesse would do the most half assed Halloween costumes, which the other members disown him for.

He would do the kind of lazy shit like drawing a face on a red t shirt and claiming that he is dressed as “the kool aid man”

Or he would just cut holes in a sheet and go as a ghost, but would be over it after 20 minutes and take the sheet off.

Tae Young - Tae likes dressing up as classic characters usually, cartoon characters or characters from popular franchises that he loves. Some costumes that I feel like he would dress up as would be:

Harry Potter

Idk why I just can picture him in the Gryffindor robes with the glasses and scar. I feel like he’s pretty into Harry Potter.

I could also picture him dressed up as Luke Skywalker.

I think him in the white outfit from A New Hope with the lightsaber and his blonde hair would be perfect.

Jack Skellington

I can’t really explain this one, I just think it would work. He wouldn’t wear a mask or anything, but he’d have his face painted and the skeleton gloves and suit and everything.

Aaron T - ok so I have a few ideas for the Aaron’s, so I’m gonna do them individually and then together in duo costumes after 😭

Ok so T was (and still is) definitely an avid watcher of Gravity Falls, and he would totally dress as Dipper.

He has the perfect hair, and the hat would be perfect also.

Dustin Henderson

I think all of the members would be big big Stranger Things fans, but Dustin would be a perfect costume for T. Like Dipper, he has the right hair, plus the hat, and he would probably carry around a plush demidog.

Aaron Z - Z would be more into the angsty Halloween costumes, but he wouldn’t take it too seriously.

I think one costume that would be kind of hilarious to see him wear would be Edward Cullen from Twilight.

I don’t have much of an explanation for this, but I can just picture it. Even though this costume totally seems random and not very fitting for Z, but I think that would be the part that compelled him to do it because he just thought it would be funny. He’d have the jacket and the unbuttoned shirt, and he’d cover his skin in glitter. Him and T are Twihards.

I could also see him dressed as Wybie Lovat from Coraline.

Z would be a big fan of darker movies like Coraline, which is ironic because he’s not really into scary stuff, but he does enjoy the more pg-type spooky movies of his childhood. He would have the skeleton mask and gloves, and definitely would keep them after Halloween.

The Aaron’s (as a unit) - The Aaron’s would do a lot of duo/couple costumes and they’d have a lot of fun putting it together. Some costumes I think they would do would be:

Shaggy and Scooby.

T would be Shaggy, which is ironic because Z is so much taller than him, but his hair is closer to Shaggy’s. Z would wear a brown spotted T shirt with dog ears on a headband and a giant, gaudy Scooby Doo collar.

Mike and Sulley

Obviously T would be Mike and Z would be Sulley, and Monsters Inc would be one of their favorite childhood movies.

Napoleon Dynamite and Pedro Sanchez

If it's any anti-Hinny fanfic trope I hate, it's the Harry having an EpIpHaNy about how Hermione/Draco/Luna/insert non-Ginny understands my problems more than Ginny so I'll cheat on my wife in the name of true love and happiness trope. ':(

Ok, let's clarify something, I do not want on this blog, people talking about ships that go against canon. I've made it explicit before how I do not like them, and discussing them even to say how stupid they are is not something I enjoy, it just irritates me. I know that one of my analyses is why I do not like dr*rry but that was a particularly brilliant answer, if I'm allowed to say so, to a particularly insulting question. And I've referenced Dante's Inferno, there's no way I'm taking that down. If I occasionally do sarcastic comments about those ships, which I'm not sure it's something I've done, it's my own business but I do not want questions about them, if that makes me a hypocrite so be it.

Of course, it's a stupid trope that clearly shows how they do not care at all about Harry's actual personality. Harry wouldn't be a cheater even if the other person were Ginny. And Harry would obviously never divorce Ginny and using as an excuse the fact that she doesn't understand him when them understanding each other perfectly is one if not the main theme of their relationship is especially ridiculous. But do not spend your time making your blood boil over those absurdities, and this I say with a lot of hypocrisy, trust me. But something I've never done is make my annoyance someone else's problem. You know, I've seen so many times dr*rry shippers coming under hinny posts to say something nasty or remind everyone that they do not ship hinny (we so needed to know that btw) and I prefer death over acting like them. This is a good thing to focus on to calm yourself.

All of this said, Harry and Ginny understanding each other perfectly happens to be one of my favorite narratives of the books, I could go on about it for hours, so here some quotes that I'm sure you'll enjoy:

Ginny perfectly understanding Harry:

Despite me having both of this, I know nothing about this so I’m just going by my experience

* Harry would love both you and Heather

* He can’t chose between y’all
