small details in the dnpc video no one is mentioning
okay, look, i'm gonna admit it, i'm a game/film theory girly and a whore for lore, so i pick at details i shouldn't be picking at, so here's some things i see in the video that i don't see being mentioned in theories/analyses. also keep in mind my brain consists of a single cell encapsulated in aspic (i know what the actual deeper meaning is this is just a bit of fun for me)
the thing underneath the piano - the camera falls off the piano in one scene and something (i still cant figure out what exactly it might be) is visible, oddly clear-looking for something underneath a broken piano in shoddy lighting (actually looking at it again it might be a corpse, is it possibly phil's old body?)
dan telling phil not to film him drawing the sigils but phil still filming - you might be able to also throw in the part where phil screams "NO" when the camera's on him sitting in the corner; they don't seem to want things to be filmed but it feels like they're obligated to record everything to some extent
phil's very explicit control over dan - this is to the point where he even has to tell dan what and what isn't food, and takes away water privileges for some reason (btw this is your reminder to drink some water) and overall very demanding tone when instructing him
SOFT AND NEAT - there's a lot of reinforcement of this, its clearly a joke but i'm overanalytical and will blatantly ignore this. there's heavy hesitation with any sharp object around them (when dan has to cut his hand, kill phil, take out phil's heart, mentioning razor blades when using the shaving foam)
dan still primarily uses his left hand - people have mentioned how he's been "fixed" but him using his right hand seems to be performative since he pours most things, mixes with his left hand, and even primarily uses his left hand to spread the blood (plus he never sacrificed himself unlike phil who seems to have died in potato stamps and been resurrected with perfect vision) there's also old superstitions that being left-handed means you're somehow cursed by/connected to satan, speaking of which...
dan has a much better connection and the ability to communicate directly with Him - he seems to be a conduit, possibly being used by phil to properly perform anything (which also probably helped with his resurrection and eyesight improvement), he has uncontrollable actions from time to time
the sigils themselves - what do they all mean? what could they mean in a bigger, symbolic context? anyone that understands them pls explain to my aspic brain
the entire place fucking burns down after the ritual is complete and they're embraced by Him - it's clear at least to me that the shed is set on fire at the end of the video, cutting off further possible footage
dan doesn't put blood on phil's forehead during the ritual - might've just been a slipup during filming but we also dont see the blood dan put on his own forehead once he arrives and theyre all standing up in the pentagram
also just a couple fun facts:
the number on the case file when converted to corresponding letters of the alphabet spell out "satan"
what dan says in his reversed clip is just "thanks!", nothing is really said in the reversed clip of phil opening the shed door its juts kinda a random noise someone made
Aaaaand some misc nonsense crackpot theories/ideas/thoughts/brain vomit that my brain keeps me awake at night with (optional reading):
if the demon taking them at the end is actually baphomet and not just some generalized idea of satan, then "mother" could be another way to refer to "him" since baphomet is portrayed as having both female and male characteristics (bobs n pennies)
personally this is scarier/more unnerving than the actual blair witch project for some reason
my bathroom sink is the one sink you cant ship
i want a dapc for those dolls they hung everywhere
is cataloguing all of the ritual setup part of the craft channel's purpose?
what was the reason for summoning him? did they bring him to our plane of existence to just let him absorb these two brink-of-twinks and then use their gay power to torment the straights?
oh that rope is just his belt thing not rope tying dip and pip together
i think this is a good wrap-up idk what they could do in a part 5 to conclude things better

Hello, could I ask you for some Radiant Vessel Hollow AU stuff? What's the general lore behind that, how did those two end up as they did and just general brainrot on the idea?
Anon this is the best birthday present ever bc i've been thinking about this au for a while now AND I WANNA TALK ABOUT IT AAAA
SO pretty much the au was born from the idea of "Wouldn't it be fucked up if Hollow ended up joining Radi?" partial inspiration comes from this song as well!
youtube
(There's a bunch of subtitles in different languages but I'm going with the english one)
To summarize, after years of fighting Radi inside their mind prison, Radi changes tactics and attempts to make Hollow join her, she promises to give them all that was taken from them, the life they deserved
Hollow doesn't fall right away of course, they try to ignore her, fight her, but after years of the same dance and song they start getting tired, no matter how hard they try Radi is never fully gone when they fight, their void not strong enough to rip her apart, and being the only one with them (The dreamers are also in Hollow's mind prison, but they're not anywhere nearby these two) they can't help but lean on her company
The closest thing I could get to describe their relationship at this point is an odd sense of solidarity, in a way both of them were done wrong by the same guy, and while it does take a lot for Hollow to understand this, deep down they knew there was a bit of resentment towards PK, one that grows in intensity the more these two spend together, and it erupts when they succumb to Radi and she turns them into a vessel for her
It's kinda like what Grimm and the Nightmare heart has going on (or at least the general HC most people got) Hollow made a deal with Radi, she will lend her powers and energy to Hollow for them to call anytime they want, to go back so she can see the world through their eyes (disclaimer: not all the time btw ASHFJKAS just when its necessary/Hollow calls her) there's no cycle of rebirth or anything here though, she's also no longer limited to Hollow's mind, she can see the whole Dream Realm now
So yeah, once Hollow is used to their new powers (and body, they got some changes in appearance) they take down the dreamers, escape the black egg, their presence making the infection spread like a wildfire and take down PK :3 (WL escaped, the knights... yeah they dont make it)
There's still some ideas I gotta clean up after this point, but I talked about this with some people and got the idea that yeah, Hollow does take over Hallownest and its people, everyone is infected to some degree? makes them more agreeable to what's going on but its not enough to make them feral anymore, some of the bugs that got modifications through the infection stay like that and while still a bit volatile, they can think enough to understand things
As for their relationship??? It's odd as fuck KJHSDFJKAH there's nothing romantic, that's for sure, it is definetely more similat to a Lord and their subordinate, but theyre like??? very close?? almost familial, when there's no job to do or Hollow needs reassurance Radi becomes the closest thing to a motherly figure they could get (Even if WL loved them there was no way she couldve shown them that) but its not enough for them to call each other family
as for the game events it would completely change, Ghost would arrive to a completely different Hallownest, where everyone is happy and nice, but the more u progress the game u realize shit's fucked up, Hornet is there as well and she came back to Hallownest to seek revenge for her mother
As to what happens to the abyss and pile of dead siblings, i'm still a bit unsure, part of me thinks Hollow wouldnt want to get rid of it but part of me knows Radi wouldnt let them have it open or even go in there, while still void the light she bestowed upon them would present a threat for the shades living there
and that's most of what I got! I still need to think of other things, but if u guys got other questions or ideas I would love love LOVE to hear them!! :D
have a quick doodle of them :3

hi! for the past month i’ve been seeing people say BEN is a child and i think that part of it is linked to the fact that they think of Benjamin Lawman being BEN? but it’s so annoying to read these type of stuff because i understand not everyone read the whole arg story but stop spreading things that aren’t true </3 it’s such an interesting story too! another note do you prefer BEN’s canon or fanon design? :3 i love both but his canon design is so nostalgic i can’t let it go at all omg!! i’ve also been wondering, do you think Ben’s avatar was the statue? i was thinking about what if BEN took over it early on, before Benjamin did making BEN inhabiting it since the start?
Sorry this was such a ramble i practically make no sense omg but i need to talk about my man and nobody Gets It </3
"I need to talk about my man and nobody Gets It" LITERALLY SAME OMG
Ok this is going under a cut becus . . . Its ben and BEN and if u didnt know i am Obnoxious about these two. Im gonna try to keep it organized a bit, so ill talk about the canon stuff first and then ill talk my personal headcanons and my fic so le's go!
In terms of the age and child thing, yeah i 100% believe you are correct. Ive been p open on my stance with the whole "is ben a child?" thing, and i think a lot of the heat with it comes down to current fandom purity culture and the pro/anti thing. So, lemme try to like. Boil down a complicated situation into smth easy to read. ahem
Ben Lawman and BEN are completely different entities guys, and for those that do not know the arg story, the Ben you know is not human nor a child.
You know BEN, BEN is the one in the story who terrorizes jadusable and spreads himself on the internet as a virus. That BEN is a program, a mess of code, an AI, however you want to interpret it. Personally i interpret it as a series of protocols running in a machine, like a self learning AI, but ive seen lots of cool interpretations of BEN. So . . . What does BEN specifically? Its an anagram for the Behavioral Event Network. If you dont wanna call it BEN cuz it gets confusing with actual kid Ben, do what i do. I call mine Evie :) ive seen some call it Netty, my bf calls his two izzi and clever (@benilos btw hes also got crazy ben stuff). Just go ham! Have fun! Remember when fandoms were about having fun and not accusing each other of pedo shit and call each other horrible things for just writing black-to-grey characters and stories??
Anyways ive gone off in enough peoples tags like this, for those that dont know the canon dont be spouting the age discourse. You look stupid as hell. And for those that are gonna spout it, please dont cherry pick through the canon. Use both characters, use the other moon children, actually please do because I want more rosa content so bad, im down so bad :'(
Or just. Heres a thought. If someone has him as an adult or writes him in adult situations, maybe dont assume that they interpret him as a kid and call the writer a pedo? (Literally has happened to me, yall are fucking weird)
Plug for the jadusable wiki with all the canon lore:
https://jadusable.withinhubris.com/main_page
Okay now my stuff 🥰
Yes i use more of the canon design and heavily use the canon story, i participated in arc 3 of the arg and it left deep grooves in my brain, i can never go back to fanon Ben. I say, as i put a more fanon appearance on my Ben 🤭
My Evie is full canon design, green hair, red eyes, creepy ass grin. I actually based it very heavily on my desktop wallpaper, which we actually figured out was a picture of @hauntedtotem (also amazing ben artist plz check them out) that they edited and posted. Sorry friend, it looked way too cool, ig youre in my fic canon now 🙇
And my Ben Lawman bleaches his hair and goes from the canon Ben to fanon Ben because of it. Hes got the pale pretty green eyes and glasses and hes a total nerd and i smooch him on the daily so he knows hes loved ♡
Tumblr media
These is the ref pic i made for the two of them. So yeah! Kinda both!
As for bens situation in the actual arg, yes i do think he was in the elegy statue, we actually do see him for the first time in the arg buried in the games code and trapped in that statue. I do think he was in there from the beginning, i personally think BEN was not limited to the models it could inhabit. Personally i would place it as skull kid and hms, but it also feels disingenuous to me to say it was in one model the whole first arc.
The arg events do happen in my canon, before my fic (like right before, it picks up after the arg left off technically), but the events are skewed a bit because i had a hard time deciphering what happened and i wanted my fic timeline to fit more with the characters i had made. Cuz my evie isnt as chaotic evil as canon BEN, its very logical and has a path of logic and reason you can follow for every action it does. It was also originally meant to be very pleasant and corteous and beneficial to the people it housed so, yes its pretty different from canon.
Ill do a quick run through of the arg events in my personal headcanon and fic here.
Kelbris starts coding BEN (Evie) for the Eternity Project. Initially, Evie was meant to be an afterlife director. People that died would be digitized into code that would be moved into Evie's servers, where it would keep them happy and occupied as the Behavioral Event Network (notice and log behavior, create events for residents). Like a community organizer kind of, think the Good Place.
While Evie is in development, Ben Rosa and Matt are friends and have yet to join the cult. Rosa and Matt are siblings, and Ben is the kid who lives catty corner on the street. They walk to school together and play at recess and all that jazz.
Kelbris quickly learns that the Eternity Project isn't as goody two-shoes as he thought. This was in like, the 90s, before digital corporations were really established. After seeing the greed and corruption in the company, he goes rogue, takes the source code for Evie, and jumps ship. He keeps working on Evie at home, anthropomorphizing it and kind of seeing it like the son he never had. This is where it actually gets the name BEN, as thats what Kel calls it. He also begins working on a body for it, so it can live independently. Its light, cuz Kels old, made of crystalline structures and hollow steel beams. A hard light projection would make its appearance.
Since Kel has basically locked himself up in his house and isolated working on Evie, he goes a leetle bit crazy. He has hallucinations of his deceased wife (you know he was doing all this just to give her a good home, you KNOW IT) and eventually starts writing kind of poetry, kind of none-minded rambles about her in a forum online. He gets a following, some of which that interpret these divine words as a goddess, one Kel has called Luna. The Moon Children start to form as Evie finishes development.
Matt sees this literature and starts talking about how this Goddess could save them like it saved the man online, whos username is only Father. He gets sucked into the cult and drags Ben and Rosa with him. Ben doesn't see the harm and joins pretty easily with his best friend, but Rosa is the older sibling and sees the red flags and is more resistant to joining.
As Kelbris finishes Evie, he wakes it up for the first time and says hello to the son he made from scratch. Evie is bright, curious and naive like a child, but heavily knowledgeable about its protocols and the information it knows about the world. Kelbris tests its function by killing himself, and ascends into the code, finishing off the hardware by becoming its firewall. Evie is alone for many years.
The abuse Ben's father slings onto his mother is slowly being directed towards him as he gets older. Ben is not the "good little girl" his father sees him as, and his mother does all she can to protect them both. Matt and Rosa constantly refuge him, and Matt specifically is constantly being a guard dog for him. If he wasn't just 13, he'd probably go at Ben's dad himself.
Because of his homelife and the conflict he has with himself, Ben takes the first ascension. He thinks when he drowns himself, he will meet Luna and she will give him another life free of pain and fear and full of happiness and freedom. Instead, he dies a cold, dark death, and wakes up in the white endless void of the Event Network.
Evie has not known another living human since Kelbris, but it does know its protocols to support and keep the deceased happy. It makes fast friends with Ben, devoting itself to him. Ben actually finally takes the name "Ben" from it. Together they recreate the inside of Evie's hivemind into their own paradise.
Slowly the other Moon Children ascend. First Matt, wracked with guilt for what happened to Ben. Then Nekko, from a different branch of the cult. These three figured out that the Moon Children cult was all a farce, and that what Kelbris had started, the Eternity Project had found and twisted. Next to ascend was Dusk, then Insidiae, and finally Rosa.
This all leads into the first arc, shortly after Rosa ascended, Evie in the outisde world stumbled upon the Operator. The Operator attacks it and seals its coding into the game that it carried, a personal item of Ben's. The game eventually finds it's way to a garage sale, and Alex picks it up.
Evie does not like Alex. Matt does not like Evie. Matt gets Evie to lash out at Alex for prodding into its code, its too naive to think that Matt would want to see it or any of them hurt. When Alex stumbles upon the Father, he awakens and swallows Alex down into the game. After his disappearance, the game gets picked up and passed around again.
Because of Alex's actions, at least Evie can now branch out a bit from the game. Though it doesnt "escape" into the internet, it learns that it can now access it and uses that freedom to try and steer the game around into places it wants.
Matt gets fed up with Evie. The fact that its the leader, how close it is with Ben, he just doesn't agree with it. So much so, in fact, that he tries to kill it. Cue arc 3 events, Sarah picks up the game in the aftermath of this. Evie is traumatized from the events and snaps a bit, locks everyone down into code or immovable models and tries to hunt Matt down. It goes rouge, and because of this, the Father wakes up.
Sarah's actions in arc 3 eventually hard reset the game. Matt gets sealed away, the Father also takes Sarah, and Evie gets reset as well, though its less like a clean slate and more like snapping back awake. Its personality changes and it has major trust issues. Its more muted, hyper observant of everything around it, and murderously overprotective of the Moon Children it keeps within itself.
And this leads into my fic 🤗
I have some doodles of my other Moon Children, but not all of them unfortunately. Cant figure out how tf i want Insidiae to look 🤭 Plz dont judge my constantly shifting art style 🙏🙏

“director’s commentary” the scene with Linda and her Forerunner abilities
@jellotherelol, @empresskadia, @makowrites.
WARNING!! Pseudo-Science, Ass-Pulls and HEAVY amounts of nonsensical Soft-Science and un-Halo-like Fantastical elements ahead! Do not read if bothered by lore deviations and improper science! (This is not an evasion of criticism, btw; just a heads-up for those who might not like what I offer)
So it's know secret Linda dies at some point during Fall of Reach/First Strike. I don't remember if she died twice in both stories or if she died in FoR and that plot-point carried over to FS, but that doesn't matter.
I have a small outline for how I want "Halo: Reloaded - Pursuit of Truth" (Based on Halo 2 and the direct sequel to Reloaded! Combat Evolved) to go. I do know that I fully intend for Linda to die or get critically injured during a violent battle inside the bowels of an old structure, so John, in an act of desperation, brings her to the medbay as quickly as he could and hooked her up for a blood-transfusion, since both John and Linda are O-types.
Linda lives, but the thing is about John is that he's "The Reclaimer" (for fans of the show, "A Blessed One"), which means he has specific genetic-markers that are directly descended from the Forerunners themselves (which made John a High-Priority Target for the Covenant when they realized this). Understand that, while these genes are rare, humans are still Forerunner-desecndants and the body recognizes those genes as human; for this DNA to go to Linda, the body starts copying and spreading that information and, boom, Linda became a straight-up magical transhuman. It did to her what it does because Forerunner women were super-powered matriarchs whose bodies and powers got stronger as part of a metamorphasis that preps them for motherhood. It's puberty. That's all it is.

Number 25, I am very curious about the possible not-chuckle sandwich related ones?
25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one
I absolutely love creating characters, and this is probably the year for my characters tbh (both in the sense creating and revisiting) and one of my favorites that I have made is my Spider-Man Oc, Marco Addams aka the Spider-Corpse.
Tumblr media
This is some of my very first art of him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And these were the most recent doodles of him (art was taken from my old blog btw)
Y’all should’ve seen me in my SpiderVerse phase. I was a force to be reckoned with, I don’t think I could have gone a day without either telling someone my lore for Marco or my love for the SpiderVerse in general. (Lore below the cut)
So for general lore (which has been tweaked to hell and back). Alchemax created and accidentally released man sized killer spiders that either eat you, use you as a nest, or infects you with a zombie-like virus. This causes North America to go through a pretty damn bad apocalypse.
Enter J. Addam, a former scientist who worked for Alchemax and his life’s goal was to find a vaccine to prevent the virus from spreading to any remaining survivors. When J. tested a prototype vaccine made with the DNA of the spiders, he used his 11ish-year-old son Marco as a test subject. Marco dies immediately but comes back to life 2 weeks later to his father’s lab a wreck and J. nowhere to be found. Marco now wonders the city, searching for his father, protecting any survivors he comes across, avoiding Alchemax's experiments on him, and eating spiders.
Both Miguel and the Spot often visit Marco (separately). Miguel mentors Marco to become a better Spider-Man and both bond over their hate/fear of Alchemax. Meanwhile Spot is more like a fun uncle/weekend dad kind of deal where he'll visit Marco just to hang out with. Spot does feel bad that the kid basically lives in hell and painfully relates to the fact that the survivors don't see him as human and more of a threat or joke (depending on if he's wearing the mask or not). I like the idea that Spot and Miguel are rival co-parents, but I also think that neither of them knowing about the other's involvement with raising Marco.
Also fun facts about Marco: He canonically has the reading level of a second grader because that's around the time the spiders were released.
Slimecicle does not exist in his universe. I don't know why I made this part of the canon but it's there. Maybe none of this would have happened if he did exist.
Marco is trans. I did give him a deadname, but I forgot it. That's the universe telling me that the name is truly dead, and it'll never be mentioned (intentionally) again.
Marco eats the killer spiders because its the only food he can eat without getting a tummy ache now :(
According to him, the fully grown spiders taste like pineapple.
Marco calls his dad Baba <3

I was going to make a post about Revenants, but, you know what, this is just going to be a post about the number of BS ways one can become a Revenant and/or vampire (as the folklore isn’t always clear) in Slavic and Balkan folklore. I’ve only included ones where I’m aware of how they’re created. There are a lot of revenant/vampiric creatures in this part of the world than are listed here.
Please note, in some areas of a country, the various terms are interchangeable, but are very different entities in other areas of the same country. You will also see a lot of similar words - this is due to language similarities. Also, the idea of 2 souls appears a lot - folk who have this are also said to have 2 hearts
Also, Hungary is not considered a Slavic country and will not be included.
Long post, so line break:
Albania: Note: while not excusable, this was an area where a lot of damage was done during the Ottoman conquests and was part of the Ottoman empire until 1912. Please keep that in mind
Liogat/Liougat/Ljugat : created upon the death of all Albanians of Turkish descent. Does not matter how they lived their lives
Sampiro: created upon the death of all Albanians of Turkish descent. Can also be created by Albanians who committed an “unnatural act” in life. Examples are, bestiality, homosexuality, prostitution, transvestism, heterosexuality with a Turkish person, consuming meat handled by a Turk, being a habitual liar, or being a professional thief
Shtriga: a vampiric witch and not actually dead. Created from a woman who has become evil through envy or never marrying.
Vryolakas: created when an animal like a cat or dog jumps over the body before burial, person dies by murder or suicide, a person eats meat from an animal killed by a werewolf, or was an evil magic user
Belarus:
Mjertovjec: created when a witch or werewolf died. Uniquely similar to the Filipino Manananggal
Bosnia:
Blut Aussauger (originally from Bosnia, but brought into German lore.. and the German term is what’s used): created from either tricking/force feeding people to eat its burial dirt, eating meat from an animal a wolf killed, committing suicide, dies unbaptized, dies a witch, leads an immoral life, or if a nun walks over the grave (wtf?)
Bulgaria: Note: It’s very common for these creatures to take 40 days to form after death in Bulgarian lore.
Krvoijac -  created from a person who drinks wine or smokes during Lent.
Obour/Obur: traditions varied. Sometimes this ran in families. Sometimes it was created from someone who died suddenly, specifically of murder. Depending on region, this term can refer to 8 distinctly different creatures.
Opyrb/Opirb: created from folk who had improper burial rites, had a cat or dog jump over the dead body, a shadow fell on it before burial (I have no idea how this is prevented), a violent death, or sometimes evil people.
Ustrel/Istral: created from a child born on Saturday but died before being baptized.
Croatia:
Kosci: created from the death of a drowning victim, adulterer, or murderer
Kozlak: created from a child who was weaned before its time and died
Pijavica: created from a man who committed incest with his mother, or a particularly evil person
Vrukolak: (from Dalmatian region) - created when the victim of a Vrukolak dies, by being murdered without anyone witnessing the crime, or when a cat or dog jumps over an unburied corpse
Former Yugoslavia (Czech Republic and Slovakia)
Muroi - created from an evil person. Also similar to a Banshee - rings bells and calls the names of folk, who end up dying.
Nelapsi - specific to the Zemplin district. Created from someone with 2 souls
Upir - created from someone with 2 souls. Some areas state they were a witch in life.
Greece - included simply due to how old the legend is. Reported in ancient Greece.
Vrykolakas: traditionally revenants. Created by improper burial rites, something was left unfulfilled, they were cursed, or were seeking revenge against things something done to them or their families.
Macedonia:
Note: while not excusable, this was an area where a lot of damage was done during the Ottoman conquests and was part of the Ottoman empire until 1912. Please keep that in mind.
Ariogourouno: created from wicked Turkish people who never ate pork
Vryolakas: created when an animal like a cat or dog jumps over a corpse before burial, when a person dies by murder or suicide, if a person eats meat that came from an animal that was killed by a werewolf, or when an evil person who used magic dies
Poland: As a note: areas Poland have a history of looking for signs upon birth to mark folk as something similar to a wise man or shaman. Over years, these signs influenced some of these legends.
Mwere: specifically of Kashubian lore of north central Poland – created from the death of an unbaptized children. Girls are more likely to become one
Ohyn: made from children born with a caul and teeth and died shortly after birth
Strzyga/Striga/Strzygoń - person born with 2 lines of teeth and/or 2 souls becomes one upon death
Upiór - a person born with 2 lines of teeth and/or 2 souls or someone who had a defining feature marking them as ‘off’ becomes one upon death. Or, folk cursed before death, dying suddenly, dying in childbirth, or having a grave desecrated could also create one. Also, in some areas, it’s specifically stated they’re made when a male child who was born with teeth dies. Examples of what was ‘off”: being born with a caul, being a red head, being left handed, having a strange mark on the body, etc.
Vjesci: created from a person born with a caul or teeth renounces God on his or her last breath.
Wieszczy – made when a child born with a cleft palate and either a caul or teeth dies. As a side note: this creature is similar to a Banshee
Wili – created when a bride dies on her wedding day
Romania: Note: there are a lot of regional variations of the word Strigoi. Also, the term Moroi sometimes appears, but the descriptions of it are so varied its hard to place exactly what this term references.
Moloi - created when an illegitimate child is killed by one of its parents
Muroni - created when a person dies a violent death, was a magic user in life, was a child born out of wedlock to parents born out of wedlock in life, or died from a Muroni attack
Pricolic: can be created from a child dies before being baptized, or person burns a porridge spoon, or sweeps dust from the home out of a doorway and into the setting sun (that is insanely specific). BTW, this is the undead variety. The wolf variety… is born of an incestuous relationship and has a tail
Strigoi - there are both living and dead variations of this entity. Living Strigoi are sometimes considered witches or sorcerers, but the 2 soul tradition also comes up. If there is a 2nd soul, it slips out at night and causes havoc. Dead Strigoi (strigoi mort) bring misfortune, illness, and death to their families. Examples of how one can be created: suicide, cursed by a witch, born with extra nipple or tail, have a life full of sin, never married, be born as the seventh son of the seventh son or seventh daughter of the seventh daughter ((this can also make werewolves)), child born out of marriage, born too early, died before baptized, having red hair and blue eyes, being born with a caul...
Strigol: created when a magic user dies
Strigoiul Muronul: created when child born out of wedlock to parents born out of wedlock dies. Always a redheaded boy
Varacolaci: can run in families. Can also be created from an unbaptized child who dies, or a person who commits suicide.
Russia:
Eretik: created from the death of a human sorcerer
Inovercy: created upon the death of a person not practicing Russian Orthodox
Kudlac/Kudlak: created upon the death of person born with a red or dark colored caul.
Upierci: created from someone who committed suicide, died violently, or practiced witchcraft
Upierczi: created when a witch or heretic dies
Upyr: created upon the death of a heretic, sorcerer, witch, or a child born of the union of a werewolf and a witch
Viesczy: created when a person born with a caul or teeth or is the child of a witch and werewolf dies
Serbia:
Jedogonja: created from a person killed by a Jedogonja or the disease it can spread
Mullo/Muli: (Specifically from Roma who live in Serbia): created when a person dies suddenly of an unnatural cause or did not have proper funeral rites.
Nekrstenici : created from the death of an unbaptized child
Vlkodlak: created by when a man under 20 who was a murder, perjurer, or had improper relations with his mother dies, or if he was killed by a werewolf, or if he ate meat from an animal slain by a werewolf before death
Vukodlak : created when a heretic, magic user, or werewolf dies. Can also be created from someone who commits suicide or was murdered.
Slovenia - did not find any distinctly unique to Slovenia that are stated to be created from people
Ukraine - did not find any distinctly unique to the Ukraine that are stated to be created from people
Creatures found in lore of multiple countries:
Lampir/Lampiger/Lampijer/Lepir (Bosnia/Montenegro/Serbia): created from the first person who dies from an epidemic or plague
Navi (Bulgaria/Poland/Russia/Slovenia): created from the death of an unbaptized child or a drowning victim
Veshtitza (Montenegro/Serbia): created from a woman who practiced magic in life
Vompir/Vompiras (Macedonia/Bulgaria): created when a person is improperly mourned or buried, dies in disgrace, or passes on in ‘an unnatural way’ such as childbirth or suicide.
Vudkolak (southern Slavic countries): created when a werewolf dies, or if a bird flies over an unburied corpse
Creature of unclear Slavic lore
Kruvnik: created when a person was not properly mourned or does not have proper burial rites, committed suicide or was evil. Sometimes this is a person with 2 souls. Very neat side note with this one. They sometimes return to their wives. If the wife accepts him for 3 years, he will become human again.

Lori’s New Troll Lore
So me and my friend took very different approaches to rewriting the lore of these fantasy races. While Sal had the approach of making all the canon lore be born from in universe racism and misunderstandings, while creating the real lore of what these people really are instead of how they’re perceived by external groups (which is a fucking amazing btw)
I decided to go with a simpler approach of taking the very basic of what is canon to the universe and then reworking it so that it becomes its own unique thing, free of the usual yikes.
So what do we know for sure about troll canon. Well they can regenerate like crazy and can only be killed by fire or acid. They have amazing dark vision, at the price of being sensitive to bright lights (apparently that’s not in their stat sheet, but it’s referenced in lore). They’re a matriarchal society (weird how only evil cultures are matriarchal in D&D. I wonder why that would be the case), lead by shamans. And they’re sorta kinda giants, because they were born of the demigod Vaprak, who was born from... well when The All Father pulled a Zeus with a sorceress (Yes, depicting a child born from this kind of shit as inherently monstrous and evil is profoundly fucked up)
As you can see this shit is just full of yikes, but there are still a lot that can be salvaged here and put to good use creating an interesting story, so let’s see what I managed to make with all this
(I added a keep reading link, because this shit got loooooooooong)
~~~
Fire is the greatest enemy of Troll kind. It blinds them, it burns their flesh and it reminds them all of their own mortality, to this terrifying force of nature they show equal parts fear and respect. For in the hands of the old and wise, fire can still be used to make grand things.
Of course most troll children aren’t born with this inherent knowledge, so little they’re exposed to anything that could ever do them real harm. Young trolls have this sense that they’re immortal, invincible. When two trolls fight they could suffer terrible wounds that would kill even the mightiest of human warriors a dozen times over, and still get up and laugh it off.
From this two things can be gathered about troll kind. First that their disdain for armor and fancy clothes, comes entirely from practical reasons. What point is there in wasting resources in equipment that will get completely destroyed in a quick scuffle.
Second, that when it comes to real conflict, who wins is not the strongest troll, but the smartest. In the absence of fire or acid, the only real way to best a troll is by outsmarting them or outrunning them. This is one of the many reasons why it is wisdom, and not strength, that makes for a great leader.
It is also wisdom that allows for some trolls to work terrifying force of fire. Those who can treat that force with respect and who have fully understood what it means to hold in their hands the only thing that can kill their own people.
Still fire is very rarely used. They do not need it as a light source, they do not need it to cook their food or to heat their bodies, and they have very little use for metal tools. Fire in troll culture serves only one use, as a funeral pyre.
In the rare occasion when a troll truly dies, their body is burned and their ashes returned to the world. To many young trolls this is the first time they’re shown the destructive force of fire and learn of their own mortality. But in a way this ritual is less about how a troll dies, but more about how a troll lives on.
From those pyres banquets are prepared, their ashes are spread and seeds are planted where they were scattered. In this way a troll’s death is simply a means for them to truly become immortal.
In recent years metal tools have also been forged from these pyres, as more and more other cultures push into troll land, the more they must protect themselves from those who so carelessly brandish flame and magic.
Of course there are always grand tales about these tools, both of the people who brandished them and the people who became them. There are legends of an old troll queen whose corpse refused to burn away, keeping her pyre burning from 7 days and from that fire many grand weapons are forged - some hich are said to still carry her will.
Or perhaps the tale of the old wise woman who used a shield and a hammer to create an avalanche, thwarting a conquering army and humbling their warlord. It’s said that the shield forged from her pyre could stop even the acid breath of a black dragon.
Those are the story of the great troll people, of their strength and their wisdom, carried on in the world around us and in the many stories of their children.
~~~
Okay so that was a lot. One last bit that I wanted to write down is how they relate to the 13 classes of D&D. Gonna keep these quick and simple, because jesus christ I’ve been writing this shit for over an hour
Artificer: One wouldn’t expect them to have many artificers, but you’d be surprised with how much they can achieve without the use of metal. Ingenuity and cleverness goes a long way for Artificers and trolls have plenty of that. Though they do tend to prefer Alchemy as their field of study.
Barbarian: Rarer than most people think. Unyielding rage will only ever get you so far when fighting other trolls and their rage can’t do much to protect them from magical fire. Those that do exist lean towards the Path of the Ancestral Guardian
Bard: The living memory of the troll people. They retell the grand tales of their ancestors and share their wisdom with new generations. Many who follow this tradition lean towards the College of Lore
Cleric: Trolls prefer to worship their ancestors more than they worship gods. The one exception being Vaprak themself, as they’re the oldest of troll ancestors. Clerics do not have a particular preference towards any domain, as there’s certainly at least one great troll out there with a tale relating to each of them.
Druid: The most common of spell casters and wise leaders in troll communities. Though they may join any circle, the Circle of the Moon seems to attract particularly few of them, as their bodies far outmatch those of most natural beasts.
Fighter: Where there’s a fight to be had, there are fighters to fight it, troll culture is no exception.
Monk: Troll martial arts tend to center around grappling and pinning their foe, a victory by submission is often the best one can hope to achieve when dueling another of their kind. Still there are some who learn the ways of the Monk and how to channel their Ki to make their bodies even deadlier
Paladin: There are no classic paladin orders to be found among trolls, but as rare as they might be, there are still individuals who would dedicate so much of themselves to a cause that something out there - ancestor or god - is compelled to land them their aid.
Ranger: No society would have ever gone that far without rangers, hunters and guides, to lead them through the natural world. Trolls are no different.
Rogue: It may seem silly to think of something as large as a troll sneaking around, but it’s this sort of thinking that makes such clever people the deadliest and fiercest among their kind.
Sorcerer: Sometimes magic simply manifests itself to a person. Elves, humans, orcs and trolls alike, magic flows through them all and can awaken just as easily in any of them.
Warlock: Most trolls who seek this path are too young to understand the consequences of they’re doing. Perhaps they have never seen a funeral pyre being lit and are confident of their own immortality, or perhaps they have and are doing everything within their power to avoid such fate
Wizard: Only the old and wizened are ever allowed to take such a path, for such terrifying power cannot be taught to one who would use it carelessly, and far too many tales were ended far too soon by a single stray spell.
AND WE ARE FINALLY DONE. Hope you enjoyed this absurdly long read and please feel free to offer me feed back and your own unique takes on other fantasy races. Please do keep your advice constructive. I know I probably fucked up some bits back there, but nothing here is set in stone and a lot can be rewriten and changed as necessary

Since I’ve been slacking off with the Fnaf headcanon series for quite some time now, with no good reason, have some AR skins and event character headcanons
Shamrock Freddy
Tumblr media
Like Frostbear and Firework Freddy,he’s a Freddy made specifically for the holidays. St. Patrick day to be exact
Has a Irish ascent to go with his holiday theme
Similar to Rockstar Freddy, he desires Faz-coin to a unhealthy degree
Enjoys talking about St. Patrick day traditions and folklore.
Is pretty self-centered
Usually picks on Frostbear for no good reason
All the other animatronics who take part in the Fazbear Funtime Service either are indifferent to him like Chica or 8 Bit Baby. While others like regular Freddy and Bonnie hate him for just being a overall jerk
In some instances when the animatronics are being shipped together in trucks for customers, a Shamrock Freddy always seems to cause some sort of commotion that usually leaves everyone in mangled animatronic parts by the end
The company was actually considering removing him off from the service completely given all the problem he caused
But considering that he makes for great revenue during the St. Patrick day season, they just left him alone for the other animatronics to deal with.
Firework Freddy
Tumblr media
Aside from Chica with her cupcake, he’s the only one who comes with a accessory.
Has lots of nicknames, but the most common ones are Firework and just Summer Freddy
All the other animatronics find his firework very cool
Springtrap however does not becuase anything that goes boom gives him flashbacks to when the springlocks snappped back in the saferoom all those years ago...
Is a expert on cooking with a barbecue
Has a lot of knowledge on sport related stuff from all over the world
Hates the cold
However he doesn’t hate Frostbear and feels bad for him becuase of Shamrock Freddy’s constant bullying
Has a lot of extras clothes and extra accessories that correspond with the traditions of the customer(s) that ordered a vist from him
For instance, he may be all decked out for 4th of July one year, and the next you’ll see a bear ready for the beach and so fourth.
Constantly switching his attire for each visit does get a little annoying, but for him, making people happy in the end makes it worth all the hassle.
VR Toy Freddy
Tumblr media
Is a completely different entity than regular Toy Freddy
Is the textbook definition of absolute gamer chad
Playing video games takes first priority for him
Recently he’s been playing the newest instalment in the fnamh’s (Five Nights At Mr Hug’s) series
He’s quite clumsy and bumps into other animatronics or common house things likes selves on a daily basis
But on the rare chance he’s not using his headset he’s usually making absurd theorys on what’s going on with the lore in the new Vr game
His main theory is that that this new strange crate looking character escaped from dumper purgatory from the previous game in the series and placed themselves into the in universe VR game.
Shamrock Freddy question why he’s still invested in that series though. As he states, the original trilogy is the best and that it all went downhill once that weird gumball machine used paper plates as a skin suit.
Whenever He or anyone else for that matter says something along the lines of that, VR Toy Freddy always goes into essay long arguments for why he’s wrong. He’s very quick to defend his favourite franchise
Jokes that he’s The Man Behind The Slaugher unironically even when the meme has died ( *In this universe the man behind the slaughter meme exists because of the Fnaf 1 news paper clippings, along with the fact that Springtrap is a well known entity thanks to HW, and the Fazbear Funtime service.*
Chocolate Bonnie
Tumblr media
Nicknames are Choco Bonnie, and unfortunately as immature as it, Poop Bonnie
He’s made of real actual chocolate
Once somebody’s dog took a big bite out of his bottom right stomach area that simply couldn’t be repaired. The dog took 87 bites out of him btw
That’s why every single copy of the Chocolate Bonnie model scanned in after that day has that big and distracting hole
His three button and botie are mint candy flavoured
Real Easter eggs are hidden inside his stomach cavity and are placed near his endo parts
Though he’s more appropriate for Easter time, sometime he’s advertised for the Halloween season for that trick or treat goodness
Similar to Bon-Bon and Funtime Freddy , Easter and Chocolate Bonnie are a two in one package.
Given the surprising popularity of the Funtime Service, (*in universe*) a merch store has being set up to only spread word of their brand but to bring these beloved characters in the pop culture consensus again, and Chocolate Bonnie gets a bunch of merch
Whether it be a coffee mug,a shirt, or the type of chocolate bunny you’ll see in those craft stores, Cholocate Bonnie has it all.
Easter Bonnie
Tumblr media
Is very dramatic and has a showman like personality. (Similar to Funtime Foxy in UCN)
His Easter egg pattern on his stomach area is actually drawn with crayons and the circles are get plain circle shaped stickers you would find at the your local dollar store. Goes to show that the Fazbear Funtime Service sticks to the roots of Fazbear Entertainment, being really cheep
How Easter and Chocolate Bonnie entertain customers is that Easter Bonnie usually has a “dramatic” retelling of the Easter bunny fairytale while Chocolate Bonnie’s the food, customers can eat while enjoying the play
He’s quite athletic
The “Happy Easter” tag on the top of his ear isn’t actually a intentional design choice
Easter Bonnie just stole it from a random candy store nearby
Some confuse him as a winter themed Bonnie covered in snow due to his mainly white colour palette. Considering that Freddy Frostbear’s a thing that isn’t that much of a stretch
Can perfectly imitate any of the other animatronic’s voices. It honestly shocks animatronics like Springtrap or Foxy with how well Easter Bonnie can capture this respective accents to a tee
He prefers to hop like a actual bunny than walking normally
Loves decorating Easter eggs.
Toxic Springtrap
Tumblr media
All that purple goo is actually just fungi infected with some of that classic remnant
Due to his frightening nature he’s only available during Halloween time
However despite his looks he’s actually quite kind at heart. Much more than regular Springtrap that’s for sure
Is actually scared of the dark
He likes playing chess
Doesn’t like the fact that he’s advertised as something to be feared
Usually hangs around with 8-Bit Baby the most and the two usually play board games all day
Although like everyone else he feels some sort of discomfort whenever he’s shocked, the pain is really minor for him compared to other animatronics
Given that he’s only desired during the month of spooks, for the rest of the year, he’s left alone at the factory where all the animatronics are constructed and duplicated in the first place
Due to this he’s got a pleta of abandonment isssues
System Error Toy Bonnie
Tumblr media
His head, body and limbs can be detached and put back together very easily
That’s how he entertains customers in fact. He’s basically a animatronic sized construction set, similar to Mangle
Their eyes glow bright orange in darkness
Is able to phaze through physical objects
Due to some people complaining about regular Toy Bonnie’s voicebox, the team chose to implant stock computer sound effects into System Error Toy Bonnie’s voicebox rather than actual dialogue.
Knows your WiFi password
Is taller than regular Toy Bonnie
The system error phrase near his stomach area gets brighter amd brighter whenever his costume shell is damaged
Static electricity flows through him from time to time. So it recommend that whenever a customer should wear gloves and other appropriate safety equipment when interacting with the animatronic
Balloon Boy always tries to get the static electricity balloon trick to work, but it never seems to work. System Error Toy Bonnie could really care less about this ordeal though
Highscore Toy Chica
Tumblr media
Loves playing video games
But unlike Vr Toy Freddy, Her life doesn’t focus on it 24/7
She likes playing a variety of games too. virtual games, handheld games, games on consoles, board games, etc
Is very supportive
Knows what emojis are
Considering that she’s meant to be hip with the kids, she knows a lot about current gaming and fandom culture in general
Is a pretty good speed runner when it comes to video games
Although it doesn’t happen often she can get quite serious when it comes to gaming. You can tell when she’s just playing for fun or not if her endoskeleton eyes and grey are exposed
is indifferent to the term “Gamer Girl”
Hates games where you can’t skip the cutscenes
Radioactive Foxy
Tumblr media
A random model of Foxy accidentally found his way into a power plant and eventually got covered in radioactive goo
The higher ups working for the Fazbear Funtime service thought that it would be a shame to throw out a perfectly good plush suit and endo. So after some strange testing involving remnant they just rebranded this as a completely new skin.
Green radioactive material drips over his body all all times
His hook is twice as big as regular Foxy’s. Probably due to the combination of experimenting with both remnant and toxic radioactive goo
Has no eyebrows due to the constant radioactive energy
Thanks to Radioactive Foxy’s transparent look, this was the first time any of the customers got a real good look on the inerworkings on how a endo properly fits into a plush suit.
Is on the hunt for and wants to consume more radioactive energy
Can transform into a more liquid based form
He’s slower than regular foxy but sill runs at a moderately fast pace
One of the more aggressive animatronics in the service alongside the likes of regular Springtrap and Frostbear
8-Bit Baby
Tumblr media
Similar to Highscore Toy Chica, she’s meant to be marketed to the gaming crowd.
Specifically those who enjoy old school videogames
Can despense real cupcakes for eating pleasure
Has a extra sprinkler perfect for ice cream decorating
Her fan operates correctly and henceforth can be used for cooling or drying needs
Her microphone is preprogrammed with chiptune styled music
Has become many people’s favourite animatronic and has been in high demand ever since they were first brought to the service due to their uniqueness
Moves at a snail’s pace
Loves playing board games with Toxic Springtrap.
Regualr Circus Baby finds her 8 bit version adorable

Smitten with the concept, not with the execution.
I want to start things off with a question: have you ever been invested in something, a television show, movie, video game or other, and not known why? Something like “this is boring, why do I continue with it?” I absolutely do and want to explore this with you.
See, I have a whole shed-load of things that I “enjoy” despite the execution not being to my taste. The horror video game series “Five Nights at Freddie’s” is not at all my normal cup of tea, the final chapters of the pseudo-horror game “Bendy and the Ink Machine” were disappointing and sci-fi game “Nier: Automata” is not what I like in my gameplay; but I bloody love them.
Same with the “The Flash” television show, the “RWBY” web-animation and even the “Star Wars” universe as a whole. I continue to persist with The Flash despite being pretty sure that my brother dreads my running commentary of its flaws every week; I may not keep up with it but I do eventually catch up with RWBY despite its execution being…lacking, and I feel that nothing in the Star Wars franchise quite lives up to what exists in my head, although it stands head, shoulder and even waist above the others in this paragraph. So why do I keep up with these stories that I apparently can’t talk badly enough about?
  Cause I do love them.
As the title says, I love the concepts behind these stories. Five Nights at Freddie’s (frequently shortened to FNAF because, let’s face it, the title is a pain) is a game where you do the same few things again and again, all to try and prevent being scared; the gameplay is far too tedious for me to play myself and honestly, I’m too much of a coward to actually do so. But the lore woven into the games has captured my heart: murdered childrens’ souls stuck in animatronic bodies that are protective of other children and incredibly violent to adults? It’s so sad, largely because it’s so terrifying and there is more added to the story with each game, cumulating in a sad tale that actually doesn’t quite compare to that in my head (although put that down to preference). It captured my heart, and more importantly my mind.
Bendy and the Ink Machine starts with a man returning to the animation studio where he used to work, where he helped to bring to life the game’s equivalent of Mickey Mouse (the titular Bendy) only to find that Bendy may have literally been brought to life by ink and madness (and magic). The game is beautifully unique in its design, with backgrounds and items and everything seemingly having been hand-drawn. There are tapes to be found that tell the individual stories of animators, voice actors and even caretakers who were caught up in the chaos, tapes to be collected while avoiding the demonic and malformed beast that was supposed to be Bendy.
I’ll be brief with Nier: Automata, but this beautiful game with beautiful music explores ideas of machines and emotions and life, at least within my own mind (I never finished watching someone else play the game so I can’t say for sure). The Flash had my heart from the beginning, all through the boring soap opera drama and plot contrivances, just because I love the concept behind the world that it was set in. RWBY is much the same, although it didn’t have me from the beginning; there are little details in RWBY that could become something amazing, but that are unfortunately overshadowed by poor dialogue, trite characters and unfulfilling season-long “stories”.
And you all at least know vaguely about Star Wars, but it’s the idea of the prequel’s Jedi Order that has me enthralled. I love the idea of an order of warriors, so feared for their combat prowess that they don’t actually need to fight; warriors who could kill you with a telekinetic thought and yet refuse to on principle, yet have enemies who share this power but without the same scruples. And Lightsabers. Lightsabers are cool.
There is so much to love about Star Wars that unfortunately a lot of the media never seems to embrace, instead erring on the side of convenience.
As an aspiring author I find all of this fascinating. FNAF and Nier Automata are examples of fascinating stories locked behind gameplay that I’m not interested in, although in the case of the former I do believe that the head-cannon that I developed was actually better than the real story (both of which I have forgotten by now). Nier Automata’s story may be better than my own ideas but as I said, I never finished watching the story.
Bendy, Flash, RWBY and Star Wars are cases of poor execution though. Spread over five chapters, Bendy started strong but lost what it was that made the early chapters good, going from tense atmosphere to just hit everything with a pipe. The Flash tv show is a victim to its medium: it’s meant to be something for people to watch as they relax in the afternoon with drama, relationships and just a hint of excitement; it was never meant to be a superhero show like the early seasons of Arrow and they are so focused on what I just mentioned that they didn’t put the same effort into being consistent or even all that compelling to someone like me. Not saying that I’m a higher quality viewer, just that I want different things.
RWBY is a real disappointment to me though, with the most important flaw being the forced climaxes without any real story. I’m not interested in the action when the season doesn’t seem to have led up to it and the best thing I can say for it is that each finale at least feels like a mid-season finale. But I will give it this: season three started (started) to change this for the better.
Finally, Star Wars (primarily the cartoons) is a problem because it ignores its own rules. Jedi are supposed to be reverent towards the Force, not using it trivially and never to injure; watch any Star Wars cartoon that follows the Jedi and you will see them regularly and callously attacking with the Force. Another weakness would be the lack of rules regulating the Force.
Any good magic/superpower system has rules or else there is nothing it can’t do and it would seem that there is nothing the Force can’t do. So, if the Jedi apparently don’t follow their own rules on using the Force then what’s the point of lightsabers other than as a symbol? They could crush armies with a wave of the hand; weapons can be torn out of one’s grip and enemy Jedi thrown through walls.
Imagine a completely independent group who are such capable warriors that they never need to fight. They stroll forward and armies give up. So much can be done with a concept like this and to a writer like myself I would love to have free reign with it.
And that’s that. So what would I do with these series if I had the power? FNAF is a hard one for me to give suggestions for because as I said, I’ve forgotten, but Bendy and the Ink Machine is easier. As I said the later parts became an action game with fetch quests that nobody asked for, so get rid of the quests, reduce the enemies and retain the disconcerting atmosphere. I’m not asking for anything the creators haven’t proven themselves capable of. Nier is another one that’s hard to give suggestions for as, as I said, I don’t yet know the whole story; what I can say is that it’s the androids and the possible exploration of their humanity (and why they are designed to be so- and I can’t believe I’m using this word- “thicc”) that has me so fascinated.
The Flash is a victim to its audience so rather than an improvement, I’ll mention what I’d like to see instead: a superhero show. This may seem like an odd thing to say about what is ostensibly a superhero show but it’s really more of a soap opera (which, btw, got it’s name from radio operas being sponsored by soap manufacturers); a real superhero show wouldn’t defeat the best one episode villain yet off camera while instead focusing on character relationships. I mean, way to give a side-character the chance to prove themselves, but at least let us see it. RWBY needs to either give up the idea of series long storylines and slowly build a larger story up, or to better plan each series so that it naturally leads to a climax.
And finally, Star Wars needs to set and explain the limitations of the Force; doesn’t need to tell us everything, just what it can’t do or if there are means of defending against it. If a Force user can block another Force user, then we need to know that so we don’t just complain about Jedi battles not being who can put the other through a wall first. And finally, I’d love to see people treat the Jedi appropriately, with respect and fear.
So that’s it. I love these stories for what I think they could be, but what they are honestly puts me off. It’s a shame, but as an (aspiring) author I’m hoping that I can somehow use these as inspiration for my own (and most importantly unique) stories.
-Note= And no, inspired by does not mean ripped off; break any story down to its bare bones and it will look identical to (and stolen from) almost every other story.

ON DRAGONSTORM
The episode/first chapter starts off with the King of the southern hemisphere of Altoterra, Erik Dragonorage, and his children, twenty-six-year-old Lyra, eighteen-year-old Leonardo, seventeen-year-old Caitlin and thirteen-year-old Hugo on horseback, riding down to the edge of hill above Dragonstorm Beach. Considering on every first sunset of the seasons, the first day of each one (summertime in canon), the rulers of Springfallen, Dragonstorm’s village and Terros, which are Erik, Tyrell and Cateline respectively, he’s going to gather with them on the shore to watch it rise, with four of his children in attendance. (For those wondering, he splits them into groups when taking them to watch. Lyra, Leo, Caitlin and Hugo go in the summer and winter; while Nolan, Diana, Antonio and Ruby go in the spring and fall.)
Once they reach there, Tyrell and Cateline make their way up to the top of the hill, and take a seat with their older brothers, nieces and nephews. They’re all silent for a moment, drinking water, taking a breath and/or squinting to see the horizon and check if the sunrise has begun yet or not. Nothing much happens, but it builds up to the next part -
As for that topic, Cateline mentions the warm spring finally coming to an end, and how the past six months’ weather’s had an effect on parts of the continent. Her brothers ask her why, and she’s got a mouthful to tell them: The High North, the kingdom/city of Orore’s Guard, has had a vast drop in population (over 1330) over the winter and spring, and there’s no specified reasons by any of the northern doctors, throughout all five of the Northern Kingdoms (Wintergardens, Iron Rock, Orore’s Guard, Garde Roux and Umbelle). She then suggests and alliance between the King and Queen of Orore’s Guard, Fred and Harmonia Brannon with Erik and Celeste, as F&H’s younger daughter (Madilyn) is close in age to Nolan (she’s 21 and he’s 22). They discuss this for several minutes, with Cateline being the one who progresses it most.
This conversation is put to a stop temporarily, as the sun is about to rise and they’ve never missed a single time watching it for 20+ years.
Once they’re getting ready to leave, Erik tells his sister he’ll definitely bring it up to Celeste once they go back to the castle. She nods, tells him he’s thinking right (part of what makes her character so great; her sass!), and goes back down to her boat and heads for the islands.
Estimated scene length: Around five minutes. And if the episode is planned out to be around 51 minutes in my head, that leaves us with 46 more to fill in with scenes.
IN LANCAAROS
Victor Alagstoyne meets with Dragahri’s advisor Max, as the two of them and the rest of their people are the only ones subtracting Victor and his sister (Sylvia) who they knew they can trust on the islands.
He (Victor) mentions how their family has been in exile for almost 30 years, while his father has been dead for 21, calculating to around the same time that Sylvia was born and the Wintergardens/Arthur vs. Wolfebroken/Alagstoyne war ended and the Arthurs won. (This will be an arc of the first season/book, but not that major until episode 15-ish.)
Sylvia knows the consequences, duties, situations and trials that would come with signing a deal with Dragahri and his people, and has consented to everything. (She’s 21, which by law of all the locations, is an adult.) She knows her brother is capable of taking care of and leading for the both of them, so it’s 100% truthful to say she trusts him.
On that note - Sylvia has proposed the idea of Dragahri being her suitor several times in the past and would gladly consent to it, so it isn’t a bad thing at all if Victor and Max went with that in the end.
As you all may have guessed, they do agree to that, and Sylvia is called from her tent to hear news and say what she wants.
When she’s told she’s to be suited to Dragahri, she’s silent for a moment, until her brother shakes her out of her thoughts. She responds with nothing more than a forced smile, it dropping into a frustrated and thinking frown when the two of them walk away.
However, nothing to worry about; she isn’t alone as she has her close friend and assistant Rosalia with her. She realizes Sylvia isn’t acting like herself and, being a concerned best friend, she goes to her and asks her what’s wrong, which leads to a long conversation between the two of them.
Sylvia confesses to not being afraid; not of being with someone she doesn’t know well enough yet (but knows he won’t hurt her, at least), but of how her brother’s been acting lately. (He’s been pushing her aside and ignoring her, but brushes all suspects away considering he ‘knows what’s best’ for her.
Rosalia tells her to not stress and that’ll all work out in the end, and they leave the tent and go to where Victor is with their guards and Sylvia gets ready to meet her suitor. But still, she can’t stop getting the fear of her brother, the person she used to trust most turning on her out of her head.
Estimated scene length: At the very least, just a bit over sixteen minutes. 16+5 equals 21, and out of 51 minutes of this episode, a half hour left to go.
IN SPRINGFALLEN
Erik, Lyra, Leo, Caitlin and Hugo return to the castle, just in time to have breakfast with Celeste and the other children (Nolan, Diana, Antonio and Ruby). Breakfast is filled with the triplets joking around with each other (Caitlin, Antonio and Ruby are, btw), Diana and Leo gossiping about rumors they’ve heard about other Southern kingdoms and such (Springfallen is in the southern part of the continent, btw), Nolan and Lyra occasionally having small arguments and Hugo trying to join Leo and Diana, while Erik and Celeste usually talk to each other about fresh pieces of news and duties for the day they have to get to. (Considering there’s five exact kingdoms in the south, Springfallen became the ruling one twenty-five years before the events, when Lyra was around one.)
After breakfast, the kids are all ushered out and told to leave, so Erik can mention his sister’s suggestion to Celeste in private. This leads to a long bout of consideration and thinking, as yet with Nolan not being 25 yet (18 is legal adult age, 25 is the age for royal blood to travel alone), he’d have to have either one of his parents or Lyra (aged 26) accompany him, as the northern grounds would be a better location to have everything happen, yet with Springfallen and other parts of the south not having anything major while Orore’s Guard does and how it could spread to the other five major kingdoms. Plus, they could figure out what’s been killing people while in the north, as Erik is incredibly intelligent in the medical field.
This scene comes to a cut, leaving us some time for each of the Dragon kids to get their own introductory scenes.
Lyra comes first. She’s shown to be sitting on a tree stump outside at the back of the castle, reading a book from the royal library. She’s having a conversation with her best friend and lady’s maid (well, to her and her three sisters, that is) Tsukiko, who seems to be quite enthusiastic about the secret Lyra’s parents are hiding. Considering she’s quite the optimistic and almost always positive-thinking, she believes it’ll be something good. Lyra, however, is both excited and nervous, stuck in the in-between of her opinion on her parents’ current discussion that she’ll find out about after they’re done and come to a decision.
Next up, is a two-for-one; between Nolan and Diana. They’re out in the royal rose garden, and she’s picking flowers to put in her room (as she’s the most feminine out of the four Dragonorage sisters). She mentions that while they both dreamed of being rulers as kids, the likeliness of such happening is impossible, due to Lyra being the oldest child of the Dragonorage family and it being her birthright because of so. Nolan storms off at this, and leaves Diana alone by herself in the garden.
Diana ends up going to Lyra in her room, and vents to her about how he’s treated her like this for a long time (ever since she was 11 and he was 12). Lyra advises her to ignore it, and next time it happens, tell their parents.
Third scene of the kids: Leonardo and the triplets (Leo is 18, they’ve just turned 17). They’re spending time together in the library, just the four of them together. He mentions the possibility of it having to do with the population drop/mysterious death causes in the north, and while Antonio and Ruby generally disagree and think otherwise, Caitlin sees his point and quickly agrees. This leads to a conversation about the old history of the north’s kingdoms/locations and how there were lots of suspicions about them, which leads to more about the rulers and such, telling of some ancient lore. This also leads to more mention and backstory of the Red Rebellion and what happened during the five years it lasted. However, the cause never gets mentioned in this conversation, but they do know that the royal house their mother was born to was greatly involved (Garde Roux/the house of Victoire. Celeste was the princess of there, second child and grew up in the north). Caitlin speaks about her knowledge on fashion of the northern people (she’s a bit of a stereotypical princess in that regard), Antonio about horseback riding, and Ruby about knights, combat and swordfighting.
This scene ends with Leo letting Hugo into the library, and he joins their conversation. He then mentions his history lesson with their teacher about learning of all the wars, castle building etc., and all of the history of the continent, and how a majority of the toys he owns are replicas of important locations. So, in general, this gives a brief introduction to them and some of their interests: Leo being a history buff/interested in learning, Caitlin being interested in fashion, Antonio being fascinated with horses and riding, Ruby being a fanatic of knighthood, and Hugo being into toys and such, even as a teenager.
The scenes of the entire Dragonorage family end with the second of the three major lady’s maids, Anna (her, Tsukiko and Jayne are the ‘holy trinity’) running around to get all eight of the Dragonorage kids, and that their parents finally are ready to see them.
And finally, Erik and Celeste have came to the agreement that Madilyn Brannon and Nolan will be put into an arranged marriage, and that Erik and Nolan will be traveling to the north and gather all of their children to tell them the news. But: Only three of the other kids are allowed to go to Orore’s Guard with their dad and brother if they want to.
Estimated scene length: Nineteen minutes, and 19+21 gives us 40 minutes (just over considering no scene in this isn’t over or under a second). Leaving eleven or less.
IN ORORE’S GUARD - TIME SKIP TO THE NEXT DAY AT SUNSET
We’re introduced to the Princess of Orore’s Guard that’s to be with Nolan; twenty-one-year-old Madilyn, who was mentioned by Cateline earlier. (She has an older sister, 24-year-old Maisy.) It begins with her alone in her room in one of the towers of the castle, sewing up her torn inside/outside dress (for the garden/within the castle. I’m bad at describing that stuff lol). She’s awaiting news on her possible marriage to whom her home has dubbed the Dragon Prince, of which her sister will deliver.
She’s deep inside her feelings, asking herself five things: 1; if this is what she wants, 2; if she’s ready or not, 3; if this is a good thing or a bad thing for her and her home, 4; if it’s right for her to be scared and 5; of course if the answer is yes or no.
She thinks of there being a plus: Her being with someone like him, of a high status and the son of the ruler of a part/hemisphere of the continent (Springfallen rules the five kingdoms in the South, while Wintergardens rules the five in the North. All kingdoms of each hemisphere rule, but Springfallen and Wintergardens are the top), would automatically make her a queen. Usually, the crowning age would be 27, meaning Lyra would inherit once she turned that age the next year, but considering he’s 22, he wouldn’t get it.
Maisy is 24, closer to the age of earning the throne and ruling their part of the hemisphere. But, considering she’s not assigned to be with anyone while Madilyn is, she’d become the Queen of the Den (as that’s what Orore’s Guard is called, symbolic of their house crest being a lion).
Why wouldn’t Nolan rule if he married her? His parents are still the rulers legally, so that option is off the table. However, marrying Madilyn would make him the King of the Den.
Keep in mind, this is all being told by her inner monologue, so a TV version would have the voiceover of the actress who’d play her running in the background while the book would have her thoughts in italics like ‘this’.
To wrap up this part, it ends in her finishing her patching up of the dress and putting it on a hanger in her closet, and eventually being called down for dinner.
At dinner, Harmonia announces to her husband and daughters that she’s received a letter from the advisor of the Queen of Garde Roux, Celeste’s older sister Circe.
Why did she receive the letter from Circe? Garde Roux is located right below Orore’s Guard, and there’s a fair eight miles between each kingdom’s individual gates. Meaning, there wasn’t much of a distance, just enough for Circe to send one of Garde Roux’s messengers to deliver the letter.
Back on topic - Harmonia announces that the arranged marriage deal was a go with Erik and Celeste, and that the Dragonorages are to arrive in three days stat. (Keep in mind, the Orore’s Guard part takes place a day after Springfallen/Lancaaros/Dragonstorm’s scenes, so they’d be in the North four days after the beginning of the episode/story.)
Madilyn nods, and finds herself not being nervous or scared about anything. She’s rather relieved, and happily obliges/agrees to the deal once more to confirm everything is well on her side, and both of her parents look quite pleased.
This ends in her and Maisy having a brief talk as they walk down the dinner hall and up the stairs, where she asks if she’s that okay with giving herself away to someone she doesn’t even know. Madilyn assures her that it’ll all be fine, and yet with how charmed the people who’ve heard of him (but haven’t met him face-to-face) seem to be with him/how much they like him, she’ll be okay in the end.
And finally, both sisters go to their individual rooms and to go bed, thus ending the Orore’s Guard scenes.
Estimated scene length: Eight minutes. This leaves us with, in addition to the previous 40, 48 aka four dozen, with just three left.
BACK IN SPRINGFALLEN - THREE DAYS AFTER SPRINGFALLEN 1/DRAGONSTORM
Erik has chosen three other children to go with him to Orore’s Guard: Diana, Ruby and Caitlin.
Caitlin was chosen for her interest in their fashion and want to travel (think of her as Belle in that regard), Diana for wanting to travel and see more of the world, and Ruby considering lots of hype around swordfighting and knights goes on around there, and the fact that many of the knights she looks up to were from there.
Lyra, Leo, Antonio and Hugo are staying behind in Springfallen, and Celeste will assume both roles of the King and Queen while her husband is away.
The guards/Erik’s men come up to them with news that Harmonia and Fred have given them a gift; and Erik immediately asks to see what they’ve delivered.
It’s nothing other than a pack of wolves: Four grey, two white, one black, one tan, and one brown.
Each one of the kids takes one wolf, leaving one left.
Celeste and Erik both decide to give it to her son from another relationship, who lives in the North as leader of a group of warriors who protects the North, twenty-nine-year-old Jonathan. (He’ll be introduced not much later on, and will have an interesting storyline and important role to play. His father won’t be revealed until later on, however.)
The episode ends at this, and finally, Erik, Nolan and the three chosen children leave for Orore’s Guard with the Spring Knights to accompany them on the way there.
Estimated scene length: Two and a half minutes, leaving us with thirty seconds left. Leaving us with just enough time to roll credits and conclude the episode/chapters that begin the tale.
(PSA: All the probable/possible loose ends will be tied with within the next five episodes. So for now, it’s to leave suspense, and readers can take time to speculate and wonder why/create theories and conspiracies.)
Thank you to whoever took the time to read this! Feedback is much welcomed/appreciated!

Mujika is demon!Jesus & other possible Bible references in TPN
It’s time people to get ready to have your minds blown again, my newest crazy theory post is here!
Disclaimer: This post contains manga spoilers up to and including chapter 127. Also, I don’t mean to offend anyone’s religion, I’m just making comparisons out of interest, and I am getting most of my info from wikipedia. Chapter 127 full fan translation dropped, and not just for me, but for others as well it has instantly stuck out like a sore thumb how much Mujika’s story parallelled Jesus from the New Testament
Tumblr media
The facts: 1) Musica’s very existence is an unexplained miracle, as she is able to do things no other demons can (keep her form without eating humans), and none knows where she came from (she is most likely of common birth).
2) She can and have been performing straight up miracles of “curing” demons of their hunger, and saving them from devolving into unintelligence.
3) What’s more, she has been passing her power to her followers and supporters, who can spread her “cure”, and teachings of the need to not eat humans in order to save even more demons from starvation and devolving.
4) Her blood taking away the demons’ hunger is basically a literal take on these Bible verses with illustration added as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5) She was persecuted and ordered to be killed by the rulers out of no fault of her own.
6) If you are still not convinced, she was LITERALLY called the demon MESSIAH by Norman, and I honestly don’t know if I could make it clearer...
Tumblr media
It may seem a bit random at first, but I have already mentioned Bible references in TPN in my Mujika is Medusa theory post, so this isn’t really out of the blue. As a bit of a reminder, or if you haven’t seen that post here are the possible references:
1) Minerva’s mythology book has a snake and apple just like the story in Genesis.
Tumblr media
2) Mujika herself is later associated with an apple on a cover.
3) The Promised Neverland may be a reference to the Promised Land from Exodus, as well as to Neverland from Peter Pan. This isn’t just a similarity in name, since their demon god is responsible for the PROMISE that we know ensures the NEVERLAND where no human child gets to grow up (since they get eaten). Right, that’s it, TPN is a mashup of Peter Pan and the Bible.
There we go, I have made my crazy and outlandish claim just like before, but can I give any even remotely believeable evidence for it?
Well, for the Peter Pan part, I have already made a huge post on the list of possible references, so please head to my Theory Directory where you can find a link. If that doesn’t work for you, I will also reblog this post with a link.
As for the Bible part, well, is there any evidence beyond Mujika? Ok, how about we play a small game. Try pronouncing Son-ju and then St. John. Hear any similarity? Am I messing with you? Well, yes and no. How about you take a look at the wiki info on St John, Jesus’ apostole (not to be confused with John the baptist).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sooo, wasn’t Son-ju the only follower of Mujika left alive? What a strange coincidence... Then didn’t Son-ju also wear a fish shaped cloak pin? I thought it signified that they were underwater, but St. John was a fisherman...
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, and isn’t it funny how we have James, Peter and Andrew all feature in St. John’s description? Weren’t there some characters in TPN also called these names...?
What’s even more interesting is John and James having been brothers, but John surviving James for a long time. I find that interesting because I recently discussed a theory by @fyria-hans  that Sonju may have been the one wearing the Minerva cape and sending that morse coded message to the kids to stay put where they were.
Since it was morse code, they didn’t hear a voice, and in those panels the wide shouldered frame and those shoes really looked like Sonju’s. We know he had justification for wanting the cattle children to survive “in the wild”, and he also most likely had the skill to create fake tracks to throw off Andrew. So it is a possibility that he had been James’ supporter... The other interesting fact was that both St. James and James Ratri died first out of the cast. Btw, fun fact about St. Peter: he holds the keys to heaven. Isn’t that a bit like how Peter Ratri has control over the access to the human world, which would be pretty much heaven to the cattlechildren?
Oh btw, did you know that there were two apostoles called James? So the other one was known as the Lesser James? Hm, isn’t Norman kind of a smaller, younger version of James Ratri right now? Oh yeah, and did you know that St. Andrew was the brother of St. Peter? And he is also a patron of fishermen, farmers, miners and butchers?
Hmmm, sooo we he a small number of coincidences, surely there won’t be more! Right...? RIGHT?!
Well, you might know that St. Matthew is associated with an angel
Tumblr media
Hmm, but where did we see angels in TPN?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah riiight, in Minerva’s famous mythology book! And isn’t it funny how there is a CUP next to that angel... Didn’t we just have MUJIKA associated with a CUP (of blood she offered) this chapter?!
Hmm, and wasn’t there a character who had a strange connection to Mujika we didn’t understand? That she showed up in his “DYING” MEMORIES? Here is another fun fact.
Tumblr media
LEUVIS?! But didn’t I say in my Peter Pan theory that Leuvis was associated with the Lost Boy Curly? Am I contradicting myself? Well, lucky for me, we also have this:
Tumblr media
So the authors have confirmed that their characters can hold multiple references, and my guess is that I may have just managed to find 2 out of 3 for Leuvis ;D (It’s funny how Shirai-san wanted to be so secretive about the references, right?) Similarly, I don’t think there is any problem going through the other characters and finding references to them. So let’s dive in further!
So there is another Apostole who is called JUDE (Thaddeus). That name bears perhaps a passing resemblance to LUCE, or not? How about the things associated with this apostole?
Tumblr media
Wasn’t Luce a bit of a LOST CAUSE? And didn’t his servants weild CLUBS? Also, what about the time Emma threw an AXE at him? Hah, these coincidences sure are getting trippy, right?
While we are on the topic of Luce, I would like to point out that before he died he made this little comment:
Tumblr media
Huuh, so his dad is some important mofo? But we sure haven’t seen or heard anything of him ever since... right? Well, how about you compare these panels for me?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This dude who murdered Mujika’s followers suuuure bears a passing resemblance to Luce, except he looks much more buff and badass... and older...
But lets not get sidetracked! We were looking at apostles, so how about I bring up the wiki info on another one?
Tumblr media
Funny, didn’t I associate NOUMA (isn’t that slightly close to THOMA?) and NOUS with the Twins in my Peter Pan analysis? Btw, do you know that St. Thomas died by the spear, so he is associated with it? I Thought Nouma and Nous had spears... But there is a Thoma among the kids as well! Huh, but isn’t he always with Lani? Acting as if they were something like twins... huh... Weird, but let’s look at another apostole!
Tumblr media
So Bartholomew doesn’t sound much like Bayon, except they both start with “Ba”, but did you know that St. Bartholomew, among other things is a patron of butchers and TRAPPERS. Huh, didn’t Bayon kinda enable the trapping and hunting of cattlechildren like wild animals at Goldy Pond...?
Also, yeah, we have a Nat among the kids again, and we also have a Phil... Did you know that we have a Mark as well? While Mark wasn’t an apostole, he has some written passages in the Bible...
But lets not get hung up on a couple of names that are similar sounding! Although I can’t help but wonder what could be the name of the demon king who ordered the death of Mujika... and if it sounds anything like PONTIUS PILATE who ordered the death of Jesus? It’s a shame we don’t have his name :(
But do you know a funny fact about Pilate? He was a ROMAN prefect. Huh, didn’t we have a handful of roman references in TPN? Like mirrored LATIN, or MINERVA, a ROMAN GODDESS?!
Hmm, you know what is a funny thought though? If Mujika is demon!Jesus, and we know that we have a demon!God (the one with the demon gylph written name, called just HIM in the anime), then I wonder if the analogy extends further. You know, God has sent Jesus to the human world to be the saviour of humankind, but then the humans in charge chose to persecute and kill him... although Jesus didn’t die permanently. So I can’t help but wonder if it wasn’t demon!God who sent Mujika as demon!Jesus to be the saviour of demonkind, only to find that the demons in charge had the bright idea of persecuting and trying to kill her... but luckily she isn’t dead even though everyone thought she died! Well, if that’s the case, I bet demon!God is facepalming right now. And if that analogy holds, it may also stand that the demons are an analogy for the jews (who had their PROMISED LAND from God, while demons have their PROMISED NEVERLAND from demon!God (which also fits with my idea that demon!God used their powers to literally create the demon world below the deep sea... you can read more on this in another post of mine)) whereas the cattlechildren are an analogy for the gentiles (non-jew). If you think I’m done and ready to finish this post on that crazy thought, then you are WRONG. Some of you may have read my post on my thoughts that Mujika may be a Medusa reference. If you haven’t, just look it up either in my Theory Directory, or in the links I will put in a reblog to this post. I was anxiously awaiting this chapters to see if it would disprove that theory or confirm it. And I will be honest, I was at first disappointed with this chapter, ‘cause like a damned fool, I was expecting to see snakes, or something about petrifying gaze, BUT then I looked further into the Medusa lore, and felt like an idiot and slapping myself. Why?
Medusa had 2 sisters in the myths, together they were known as the Gorgon sisters. But Medusa was different to the other two, and her name meant ruler/queen. Hmmm, doesn’t this panel look kiiinda like 3 sisters?
Tumblr media
Also, just in case you missed it, I have circled a jar there that looks eerily similar to the golden water jar that the kids have. Tsk, all these coincidences that I keep spotting!
So the other thing about Medusa is that in all of the myths the goddess MINERVA wants to kill her out of no fault of Medusa. Didn’t we kinda have someone in TPN right now with a MINERVA alias say something similar?
Tumblr media
Oh hello there Norman. Funny that you would say that... In the myth Minerva doesn’t kill Medusa herself, but aids the hero Perseus who cuts off Medusa’s head, which ends up on Minerva’s famous shield the Aegis. In many sources it is said that the shield is used to petrify Minerva’s enemies. But Medusa had one more funny quality about her that had the interest of Minerva in the mythology:
“ The character of Medusa can also be seen to come along with some qualities that emerge after her tale of origin. For example, one half of Medusa’s BLOOD is HEALING – and so, along with her petrifying ability, she could also heal. Blood taken from the veins on her LEFT was POISONOUS, while blood taken from her RIGHT could RESTORE THE DEAD TO LIFE.”
Huh, didn’t we just learn that Mujika’s blood is SPECIAL? That it can “CURE” the demons from their hunger of humans, but it is also DANGEROUS for  the demons in charge and for the humans in case the “cured” demons decided to still eat humans? Btw, isn’t it funny how Mujika draws blood from her right in this panel when healing those villagers?
Tumblr media
Maybe I didn’t need to be so worried about my Mujika Medusa theory after all...

Welcome one and all to the second part of the Monthly Guide to Monsters! The talented @downwithwritersblock and I have teamed up to bring you some quick and easy guides to some of the world’s most infamous creatures.
The guide will include: basic background, historical information, abilities, how to defeat them, and portrayals in media. They’ll probably also come with some short stories or prompts!
For this week, I’ve been tasked with probably one of my favourite mythological beings: vampires. These will be posted on Mondays and Thursdays, excluding this week (since I’ve been busy with stuff). We hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Monster Guide #2: The Vampire
Definition: A vampire is an undead or immortal being from folklore that subsists by feeding off the vital force (usually blood) of the living. Vampires are typically creatures that bring about mischief or death. For a long time, vampires were synonymous with demons. Many cultures actually classified vampires as being corpses that were possessed and animated by a demon.
Description: Many early tales described vampires to be bloated; with ruddy, dark, or purple skin, and almost always wearing some kind of dark shroud to hide themselves in (that they usually bring with them from their own grave). It wasn’t until the 19th century, with our more modern day lore that we started to see the classic frail, or gaunt and pale vampires that we have grown used to seeing in the media.
Abilities: These change from culture to culture, although many of them were birthed by Bram Stoker's Novel “Dracula” (which were, btw, super OP). Included are some of the most common abilities associated with vampires (you’ll notice that “glittering in sunlight” is absent because of this).
Usually immortal, or with at least a very prolonged life span
Increased abilities such as strength, speed, sight, hearing and smell.
Flight
Some hypnosis, telepathy, illusionary magic.
Shapeshifting (typically into a bat)
Vampire’s Baptism: the act of healing one with a vampires blood, or turning one into a vampire through mutual biting
Regenerative healing
Immune or really unaffected by conventional or normal means of attack (like being punched, stabbed or shot)
Night vision
Preventing Vampirism: Vampires eventually caused a bit of hysteria in some cultures, so we see many examples throughout the world of people trying to prevent the rise of the undead.
Some ways found to prevent the rise of a vampire were:
Buried upside down or flipped over.
Some cultures places scythes or sickles beside graves to satisfy the demons they thought would possess the dead. Why? Don’t know but that’s sick.
Religious symbols, like wax crosses or pieces of pottery with biblical messages like “Jesus Christ Conquers” were commonly placed on corpses to prevent vampirism.
Some took the practical route and decided that separating or destroying the tendons in the legs of the deceased would also keep the dead from rising.
Shooting a bullet through the casket right before burial was also common
Some would put pieces of steel or silver over the corpse’s eyes, in their mouth, in their ears, or in between their fingers.
Pushing Iron needles through the heart was also said to stop a vampire from rising.
Decapitating after death.
Curing and Killing:
Garlic was said to keep away vampires
Crucifixes and rosaries were typically said to keep a vampire away.
They could not cross onto sacred or consecrated ground (like a church)
It’s also said they could not cross over running water (no bridges for vampires)
Some folklore says that they lacked shadows and would not show up in a mirror or a photograph (some folklore states that this is a reflection of their lack of a soul, although it could be due to the use of silver in these things)
Sprinkling mustard seeds along the roof of your house was said to keep vampires away, but if it didn't, you’d be alright becauseeee
Vampires, in many myths, could not enter a home without first being invited in. Be careful though, they only need the one invite. After that they might just be able to come and go from your house as they please.
Wild rose stems or hawthorn branches could potentially harm them
In many legends, vampires are warded off, and sometimes even harmed by silver. (Old mirrors were commonly backed with silver, and old photography also used silver specks, which might be the reason they’re not seen in them)
Holy Water or other items blessed by a priest were said to keep them away, and possibly even hurt them.
Vampires were said to be nocturnal, and were very vulnerable or damaged in sunlight. It might have even been able to kill them.
Being set on fire can kill just about everything, and vampires were no exception.
@downwithwritersblock‘s favourite way to stop a vampire: Arithmomania. An expression or type of OCD in which the person who suffers from it feels compelled to count either their actions or the objects around them.  In many cultures around the world, especially in Eastern Europe and in Asia, it’s said that if you place small seeds (usually poppy seeds), sand or a type of grain like rice beside the grave, or in front of the vampire, they would compulsively have to count it, and that would keep them busy until either you kill them, or until the sunrises and the light kills them for you.
Decapitation was also a very common method in both preventing, and killing vampires.
And of course the most famous of all; A wooden stake through the heart. Many cultures will also tell you that the stake has to be made out of the same kind of wood as the cross that Jesus was crucified on.
History: Here we’ve included two of the most famous “real life vampires” in history! Up first we have...
Vlad Tepes (or as he’s more commonly known: Vlad the Impaler, or Vlad Dracula).
Born between 1428 and 1431 and died in either 1476 or 1477.
He was Prince of Walachia 3 times between 1448 and his death
The second son of Vlad Dracul, who ruled Walachia
Imprisoned in Transylvania, held in Visegrad from 1463 to 1475.
Vlad II got the name ‘Dracul’ when he joined ‘The Order of the Dragon’, a ‘monarchical chivalric order for selected nobility’ in middle Eastern Europe (aka it was mainly Germanic states).
Dracul(a) means ‘Dragon’, and in more modern Romanian it means ‘The Devil’
Vlad III’s prefered method of execution was impalement. Hence the nickname ‘Vlad the Impaler’
Rumours and stories of Vlad spread fast, in fact, books about his cruel acts were best sellers in the German speaking territories.
However, to his own people, Vlad was usually seen as a warrior and a hero.
Bram Stoker was the one to turn Vlad into the legendary vampire with his well known book “Dracula,” published in 1897. It relied on many of the ancient myths of blood suckers found in Romanian folklore. The novel was very loosely based on Vlad, considering Bram Stoker didn't actually know a whole lot about Vlad and Walachia.
Bram Stoker is also among the first to change the traditional vampire into what we know today. His book is, or at least part of the reason that the image of vampires shift into one that is pale and thin, the lack of a reflection or shadow probably starts with his novel as well.
Secondly, we have my favourite: Elizabeth Bathory, aka “The Blood Countess.”
Considered to be the first female serial killer.
The accusations change a bit depending on the story, but, Elizabeth was a Countess who was accused of taking, torturing and killing hundreds of young girls. She was accused of some pretty gnarly torture methods like covering people in honey and ants, or burning and then dunking people in freezing water, not to mention mutilation. She was accused of cannibalism. She was also said to drink the blood of her victims, earning her the nickname ‘Countess Dracula’. Some also say that as a regular part of her beauty regimen she would drain the blood of young virgin girls, and bathe in it to help keep her young and beautiful. Sometimes I like to call her the inventor of the first bath bomb.
The highest number of victims she was accused of was 650; however, this, like many parts of her story are questionable, and from unreliable or iffy sources.
Vampires in Media: This list is absolutely massive, so I’ve included twelve titles. This includes books, tv shows, and movies, but excludes video games.
Tumblr media
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (TV show, movie, comics)
The Vampire Chronicles/Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice (movie and book)
Carmilla (1871 novel, cute lesbian 2014 youtube series, movie)
The Vampire Diaries (TV Show)
True Blood (Book series, TV show)
Van Helsing (Movie, TV show)
Dracula by Bram Stoker (1897 Novel)
30 Days Of Night (movie)
Twilight (Book series, movie)
The Originals (TV show)
Angel (TV show)
Blade (Movie)
And my personal favourite, which doesn’t fall under any specific monster, is the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong. Would highly recommend. It’s 13 books in the main series, and features all sorts of awesome and well-known supernatural entities such as (but not limited to): werewolves, vampires, half-demons, witches, sorcerers, demons, angels, and necromancers. Fun 18+ supernatural mystery read (with triggers for violence, gore, and explicit sexual content however. Reader discretion is advised.)
Prompts:
1. “You’re so coldblooded!”
“Uh, yeah? I literally don’t have any blood?”
2. “The worst part about being a vampire is not being able to take selfies. Do you know how much I miss looking at my own beautiful face?”
3. “I suppose the best part of this whole ordeal is not having to spend so much time in the vanity.”
4. “I’m scared to do my eyeliner.”
5. “Werewolves have it so easy! What’s the big deal with turning into a wolf every once in a while? I’d slaughter a country if it meant I could go outside and enjoy the sun. Even as a four-legged mutt.”

What about mermaid iwa stalks his cute fem human S/O who either always sails out to study the ocean or surfs (who doesn't ever notice him)... One day there is a storm and something happens to the her and he tries to save her but doesn't realize she needs air to live and ends up dragging her into the water further... you can make it angsty where she dies or not I don't care you can pick lol you have a nice blog btw😄
*BANSHEE SCREECH!!!!!!!*
Like, this is everything I need and want in life. I would kill a man to get mermaid Iwaizumi. And I’m so MAD cause I was just at Barnes and Nobles and came SO CLOSE to buying a lore book on Mermaids! It had EVERYTHING and I didn’t get it! (I got the one on Faeries instead!)
But I hope you enjoy, Anon, cause I certainly know I did!
She was fascinating. Had been from the first time he had laid eyes on her. She wasn’t like him, she was the first ‘human’ he had ever seen. And despite multiple warnings and cautions from his friend - and constant tales from other oceans - Iwaizumi kept coming back to take a closer look at her. Because she was like him. Yet she wasn’t like him at all.
He always found her in the same spots. Either she was seated on top of a ‘board’ - a word he had heard her use continuously - her body buoyant above the waters surface as she waited patiently, her fingers stroking over the water. Many times he had wanted to approach closer, reach his hand out to mimic her motion from under the water. But he kept himself at a safe distance, close enough to observe but never to interact. Many times he had found her on top of a boat as well, sailing further out into the ocean’s waters. He’d follow, a wide smile on his face as he glided along the wake she created, jumping occasionally to catch sight of her pulling at some rope or other.
And he loved every minute he spent with her. Even if she never saw him. Even if she never noticed him swimming along next to her with each and every wave she caught, sharing the smile and thrilled laugh of the experience, he loved it.
Oikawa knew. Iwaizumi knew he did. His friend never stopped him, but he always gave his small hints of warnings. And he knew the stories, the devastating events that spread through the oceans of merfolk that had gotten too close to humans. Most didn’t make it back - fear and misunderstanding leading to their deaths by the savagery that was man’s nature.
She was different though, he knew it. He knew it by the way she coasted across the water’s surface. He knew it by the way dolphins approached circled her, their trust of the space she was in was enough for him to know she was.
It was everything about her that sent him rushing forward through the water when he witnessed her sinking into the rough currents the storm above was creating. This was different from every other time he had seen her crash into the depth before. She was still, body allowing the currents to take her wherever they wanted, limbs thrashing desperately. His own reached for her, it was the closest he ever was to her, his hands taking her around the waist. He felt the current pull him for a moment, a small grunt left him as he regained his bearings to pull them both from it’s strong grasp. The feel of nails on his back and catching the his fin there made him wince, his hold tightening on her despite her body fighting against his hold.
Once he had managed to get them clear of any rough waters, he turned to look at her face, his heart instantly freezing in his chest. A wild, panicked look took over her eyes, her hands desperately clawing up towards the surface he had pulled her away from. Air bubbles were pulled from her mouth as a new surge of panic filled Iwaizumi, his hands rising to cup her jaw delicately, brain surging for a solution to this sudden problem.
Body moving instinctively, he leaned forward, his mouth pressing tightly against her own. In that moment, he felt her chest fill with air, the action making her body press against his own. The touch sent a jolt into his heart and he allowed himself to enjoy it for as long as possible. Parting, their eyes met and he saw the wonder slowly take over her expression, taking in every part of him that was entirely foreign to her. He watched, returning her stare with just as much wonder, this being the closest he would ever find himself to her. When her hand rose to her throat, he leaned forward once again, their lips touching to allow her another breath, his tail flicking when he took hold of her again bringing them closer to the surface.
Their heads broke the surface together, a large breath filling her lungs as soon as they did. Her eyes were to him again, her fingers brushing over the skin of his arms that held her, pausing when they hit scales. He watched her open her mouth to speak and he quickly pulled her though the waves, instead hearing the shock of her gasp instead of whatever she was planning on saying to him. He kept moving until she was able to touch down her feet to the soft sand. Releasing her when she was able to stand, he pushed himself back, creating that distance he had always placed between them once again. But he stayed, watching her and she watched back.
“What’s your name?” she questioned, the sound of her voice so soft in comparison to how he was used to hearing out while she was out on the water alone.
With his heart jolting at being addressed by her, he approached slowly, his own lips parting. “Hajime,” he answered after another moment of silence. He wanted more; more interaction. Never had his heart beat so wildly against his chest and he didn’t want it to go away just yet. But there was a tug at the end of his fin, his gaze falling to see Oikawa beckoning him back to the world he belonged to. Giving one last look to the woman he had just saved, he turned, ignoring anything from her lips as he dove below the surface, following his friend silently.
Neither of them would speak of this incident, the silent warnings coming through. But he would continue to watch her, witness her scanning the surface of the water for him. And maybe one day when the water was calm, he would approach her again to hear those lips speak his name.

hey Mimi! i come to you asking about the general rundown of the current state of WoW! i quit playing sometime around the time Cataclysm came out, and with Legion popping up everywhere, i'm giving it a try again! is there anything extremely important i should be aware of that changed/got added? thanks in advance, and sorry if the question seems a bit too big to answer!
Hi @demicorpse ! I’m not sure if I’m the best person to ask about this since I haven’t necessarily played since August last year but I’ll do my best!
So if it’s been since Cata that you played, there’s a few things to catch up with which I’ll put under a cut cause even though I paraphrased it’s a little long.
Horde - During Cata, Thrall passed over the mantle of Warchief to Garrosh Hellscream. Orgrimmar was under reconstruction because of the cataclysm. Orgrimmar’s reconstruction is complete now, so there’s no more engineers and such on the walls.
Garrosh became corrupt and led a lot of genocidal acts against both Horde and Alliance, and launched a mana bomb (basically the magical equivalent of a nuke) on Theramore. Rhonin (the “Citizens of Dalaran!” mage) died in that explosion, sacrificing himself (i think) to contain the explosion so it didn’t spread past Theramore. Jaina was also saved by him, and her demeanor has changed drastically, as she’s no longer the sweet peacelover, but instead filled with rage and despair. Her hair is also white for the most part now.
During MoP, Garrosh sent an assassin to take out Vol’jin, but it failed and he lived. Garrosh also almost killed Anduin by dropping a bell on him, crushing every bone in his body.
Garrosh took the heart of Y’Shaarj, an old god, and absorbed its power, and desecrated a lot of land and people too. Pandaria, the ancient home of the pandaren. We defeated him in the end raid for MoP, and Thrall made Vol’jin warchief instead.
Garrosh went on trial in Pandaria for his crimes, but with the help of a bronze dragon named Kairozdormu and a purified black dragon whelp Wrathion, he broke free and went back in time 35 years and prevented the orcs from drinking the demon blood, which then ignited the shittiest expansion Warlords of Draenor. Nothing of real importance happens there except Khadgar looks like a silver fox, and alternate Gul’dan is now in our timeline and brought the Legion over to us
-
Alliance - Bear with me I main Horde so everything I know about Alliance is just what I’ve read.
Okay so during Cata, Stormwind was partially destroyed. For many years until Legion, the park was just gone. Now it’s been rebuilt, anmed “Lion’s Rest” because as of Legion, Varian Wrynn is deceased.
After Jaina lost Theramore, she has been enraged, wanting the Horde to pay for what had been done to her. Even after Garrosh had been defeated in MoP, she tried to urge Varian to take out the Horde before they can try to plot more evil, but Varian just threatens them instead when he Vol’jin said he speaks for the Horde now
Anduin became friends with the black dragon Wrathion I mentioned earlier. They’re popular in the fandom so I’m not sure if you know them but I feel like it’s worth mentioning that during Garrosh’s trials, Wrathion betrayed Anduin there in favor of sending Garrosh back in time. Wrathion has pretty much been MIA since, despite spending a majority of MoP talking about how the Legion was coming and they needed to do something to defend Azeroth before it is too late.
-
As of Legion, Varian Wrynn, Vol’jin and Tirion Fordring are dead, having lost their lives during the Assault on the Broken Shore (new zone) where the Legion was arriving through a portal (Tomb of Sargeras i think).
Sylvanas Windrunner is Warchief of the Horde. Her and Greymane have a lot of friction this expansion. Lots and lots of Forsaken vs. Worgen.
Anduin Wrynn is now king of the Alliance. He now has recovered half of Varian’s sword, and it looks like he might become a paladin later? We don’t know. He has not been very active this expansion, but he is grieving.
Illidan is back. His body had been stored in a vault because even though he was dead, Maeiv still felt he needed to be imprisoned. I think alt-Gul’dan stole his body and tried to use it as a host for Sargeras to possess him and wreak havoc on Azeroth, but that attempt has been thwarted at the Nighthold raid. Since demon hunters can’t necessarily die, their souls just go out to the Twisting Nether, they can just come back to their bodies. We put Illidan’s soul back in his body and now Gul’dan is dead and Illidan is ready to kick some ass
The Illidari were also imprisoned by Maeiv, but she freed them when the Legion arrived because she felt we need them to fight the demons (g00d move).
Pandaren are a playable race as of MoP. Monks are a new class that came in the same expac, and they can heal, tank and dps. Available to all races.
Demon Hunters are a new class as of Legion, exclusive to belfs and noofs. You start at level 98 for that one. You can only have one per realm, and you must have a character at least level 70 before you can make one.
Gnomes can be hunters now btw.
-
Right now we’re at the Broken Shore trying to help people and trying to push back Legion forces that are spilling through our world. I think those are just the very important points to know, you can always do more reading on details cause there are a few other things that have happened in between too. I hope this helped some!! Check out the WoW cinematics if you can, and if you need specific lore stuff, I highly recommend Nobbel87 on YouTube! He specializes in video essays on WoW Lore history stuff. Super cool!

ok i finished kona so as promised my lil* post on walking simulators i’ve played. (*it’s not lil.)
first things first: a lot of these give off a creepy vibe because it involves you investigating a deserted place piecing together What Happened. i don’t personally consider them scary, as such, but i guess some people might? with minimal spoilers, i can say that unless noted there are no jump scares or battles and you can’t get a game over at any point. none of these except flower and maybe gone home are exactly the cheeriest of games, they’re not total downers and you can take away a lot from each of them, but there’s almost always death involved. also these are all short games, many can easily be completed in a few hours, some you might want to spread out over a couple days.
i’m a little hesitant to put gone home on here bc i haven’t actually played it myself, but i did watch a full LP. i don’t think it’s a spoiler at this point to say that there was a bit of a bait-and-switch with advertising and it’s not a horror game. it is actually a very sweet, heartfelt coming-of-age story about a teenage girl who left behind notes for her visiting sister. while this might be a bit of a spoiler, i saw a review that called it “a lesbian scavenger hunt,” which i think is pm all anybody needs to know to decide to play it.
the vanishing of ethan carter is the first one i played and probably still my favorite. i played through it possibly half a dozen times that first week, and it’s not necessarily that sort of game. at the risk of overselling here, i can’t tell you how much this had an effect on me. you play a detective who’s come to a small seemingly deserted town at the behest of a young boy (ethan). what follows are a series of visions, stories, and light puzzle-solving to get to the bottom of what happened to ethan carter. as the story unfolds things get pretty disturbing and there is some blood (stain variety, not gushing). there’s nothing that would, i think, rate more than a PG-13 though. i could go in-depth but just play it okay.
dear esther is credited with being the first walking simulator. you can hear about its humble beginnings as a mod for some other game i forget by listening to the audio commentary, which you have to do for one of the trophies. dear esther is, the most out of these, not what it appears. it’s almost more of a poem than a story, and there is a lot left abstract and open-ended; death of the author is encouraged. it’s probably got the slowest start, but i like the peacefulness of it. it has a sequence that is the most beautiful and transformative thing which then leads up to the climax, and by then you are definitely in a different game than you started. no puzzle-solving, you don’t pick up or interact with any items, no keys or secret passages to suss out. you just walk and look and listen. definitely melancholy, but then, the whole thing is what you make of it. also apparently there are loads are little background details that can change randomly each time you play it, if you’re into that.
firewatch is another one that seems creepy, but (i’m sorry to spoil, i just want people to be okay when they play!!) i promise you, if you can handle some sadness and bittersweetness, you’ll be fine. this game is a little treasure. i saw someone complain about the graphics and i like??? couldn’t disagree more? i mean first of all what do you expect but second all it’s got more of a painted feel to it than a hundred laboriously-created computer models. there are some views and areas that are just beyond lovely. anyway you play as henry, who’s come to sit alone in a tower in the middle of the wilderness for summer 1989? to watch for fires. henry’s a bit snarky and sad and would probably be played by paul giamatti. the other man character is his boss, delilah. the rapport the two develop is probably the high point of the game tbh. their banter is topnotch. while firewatch seems a little overwhelming in scope but it’s actually not. there’s not much gained by extraneously exploring but you’re welcome to it if you want. it’s mostly just a lot of walking with very easily navigable roads and rappelling and such while around you all this weird shit starts happening. henry and delilah discuss what it all means and what to do about it. all questions are answered by the end, except for the ones any good story leaves open for you to decide.
beyond eyes... i don’t quite want to say that i wished i never paid for or touched this game, because my reasons for my violent rejection of it are very personal. so, here it is neutrally. it seems like a colorful, peaceful game about a blind girl, rae, looking for her lost cat, nani. the catch is that rae is blind, and so you have to sort of “fill out” the world by walking around (laboriously slowly, bring patience). it really is lovely, kind of painterly-feeling with so many vibrant colors, and i was very pleased with it for a long while. and again, i don’t want to spoil it, but the ending caught me so off-guard, threw me for such a loop, and triggered me so unexpectedly that i immediately turned it off and deleted it from my system. suffice it to say the tone is a bit different from the rest of the game. so, i won’t tell anyone not to check it out. it is pretty and simple and it seems like the kind of game people might want to support financially. just... not me. it made me disproportionately angry and upset and ruined my day. if someone has played or does end up doing so, my reaction might seem a little extreme, but it was one of those things that struck hard without any warning and it was just not what i needed at the time.
i tried to wait for what remains of edith finch to go on sale and i failed. while i’m not convinced it has $20 worth of content (it’s possibly even shorter than dear esther but i’d have to check), it’s also gorgeous, so i guess we all make sacrifices. anyway i’m still sort of processing my feelings for this game. most of it is completely genius. it’s about a girl, edith, who’s returning to her family home for the first time in years. she’s the last finch left alive; they have a habit of dying young, most not even making it to adulthood. you find out the story of each finch and each is interactive in a different way, one you’re different animals, another it’s in the format of a comic book, it’s all really neat how it’s done. anyway, obviously this game talks about death a lot but never shows it; in fact, some of the sequences are so abstract you have to interpret them yourselves to decide what even happened. my main continuing reservation is... i don’t know what it’s trying to say. i don’t know what it’s all supposed to mean. i mean maybe it’s some crap about the value of life no matter how short or idk, but for the most part at the end i was kinda like, “ok.” i keep thinking i must be missing something, but i’ve no idea what. it’s kind of just a collection of interesting stories whose only discernible thread is they all happened to the same unfortunate family for some reason. it’s the kind of “open to interpretation” that makes me feel like something is lacking.  anyway i still loved it and do recommend.
kona. oh kona. let me start off by saying you can die in this one. they’re not that ubiquitous but there are creatures that can and will kill you, and sometimes they might startle you as well, and of course there’s the cold, which can also kill you. i kept getting pissed off at that fucking inventory because it was JUST BARELY too small and you never knew when you were going to need something. now that i actually do know it’ll probably be waaay less infuriating. there’s also a final boss, but the “fight” is basically you going “jesus christ it’s a lion get in the car.” it’s very intense, but i wouldn’t really call it scary. you don’t even have to do anything offensive at all to win, just run like hell. a couple more words about the gameplay: i mentioned the better coat. you actually can find the components you need for that early on and possibly go straight and get it? like i’m not sure if the game lets you but if it does, it makes exploration SO much easier. you still have to be careful but like. type b careful rather than type a. anyway it’s pretty much a must. um, you probably want to take your car for the sake of convenience, and also you can get a snowmobile later! there are a number of little achievements to earn, some of which make this game a lot more involved than any other on this list. like, it’s a very big area with poor visibility and you’re looking for very very small things WITH A CHEAP-ASS SWEATER CARL. anyway, as for what it’s actually about: you’re a detective again, come to québec in 1970 to find some seriously fucked up shit. this game isn’t really horror, it’s mostly just what the hell is going on this is so fucking bizarre. there narrative has a lot of stuff about colonialism and racism and a lot of Cree culture and lore driving it. it was funded by kickstarter btw. so yeah, a little too game-y, most intense and involved of the bunch, unsettled even me at times, but not meant to invoke terror or keep you up at night, only make you think about the circumstances that created this event.
flower is your friend. i’ve only played a little bit of it but honestly that’s all you need. you can just go back and do that bit as many times as you want cause this is a game that’s all about being a petal on the wind. it’s cute, it’s playful, both the score and visuals are charming and lovely. this is the game you play after running for your life in kona. recommended to have in your library if for no other reason than to know it’s always there when you need something simple and beautiful and andy dwyer is unavailable.
