Happy Monday y’all! Hello from the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, Romania! Just grand. The scale of this building is so big that I had to park wayyy on the other side of the street and set my tripod even further to capture the entirety of this building. This was completed in 1997 and took 13 years to construct. The building was designed and supervised by chief architect Anca Petrescu, with a team of approximately 700 architects. 700 architects! Isn’t that freaking insane?! That’s enough jobs for my professional network and all 6 degrees of their archi-friends! 🙀 Sometimes the facts about some of these monuments are as impressive as the structures themselves. Happy Saturday Beautiful Earthlings! I geeked out when I saw these murals at my hostel. For me, a world without art, is a world without color. Imagine a world without artists, creatives or designers. You can’t because it’s not just art on the wall, art seeps into every facet of life. I don’t have my creative tools with me on the road, but did you know I’m a creative? I make clothes, I paint, I make stuffed animals and keychains, I make jewelry, I design posters and buildings. I had to give up this part of me for now because there is no way I was going to carry my paint set, canvases and sewing machine on the road! LMAO. My point is once you become a creative, you understand how long it actually takes to design and craft something. It makes you appreciate others’ art so much more. So before you criticize someone else’s art, ask yourself if you even have the experience and skillset to do the same thing or better. You most likely don’t. So you may not like street graffiti, but I know how hard it is to be skilled with a paint can. I know this because I painted my fairings on my Ninja 300 and they came out terrible 😹 I guess that’s what why I brought my poi on the road, so I can let my art and creativity out in that way.
