Summary: Bucky and Sam Being loving, overprotective father figures for Steve's child.

You were heartbroken when Steve didn't come back after returning the infinity stones. You were also betrayed that he talked to Bucky about it but not you.

Sam saw how uncomfortable you were around Bucky and immediately took you in. You stayed with him and started healing from the pain your father left you with.

When you cry over your dad, Sam pulls you into a hug and holds you tightly. He rubs your back in hopes of comforting you.

Eventually you start to miss Bucky so Sam starts to get in contact with him. Both are extremely overprotective of you and treat you like your their own child.

You are closer to Sam because of the time spent with him after loosing your dad, so Bucky gets jealous and tries to win you over.

They joke a lot about who you like more. If John Walker messes with you, he'll have to deal with two pissed off dads. Let's just say he won't be near you again.

Bucky tells you stories about your dad and what he was like before Captain America. Sometimes the two of you cry while thinking of happy memories with Steve.

Bucky and Sam love you more than life itself and are willing to do anything to keep you happy.

What Build A Bear They Get You And How They Surprise You With It

(Part one includes; Loki, Bucky Barnes, Peter Parker, Peter Maximoff, and Druig)

Part Two

Loki

If they had an alligator that’s what Loki would get you. Otherwise he would just get something aquatic. Maybe an Axolotl. The scent would be thin mints, and I honestly don’t think he’d put in a voice recording. He’d allow you the privilege of naming it to which you would name it Loki. He’d get slightly annoyed at that choice but he’d just be happy you like it.

Why did he get you this?

He noticed you were upset lately and he thought it was a good pick me up.

Bucky Barnes

Now he may seem cold but somewhere behind his frozen heart is still a romantic. So be sure he’d get you one for those red rose bears. The scent is flowers or roses. Although Buck’s has a warm heart deep down, he still has some trouble expressing himself easily so the sound included in the bear would be the sound of a beating heartbeat. He wouldn’t give the bear a name, he’d let you name it.

Why did he get you this?

It was an anniversary occasion and he thought the rose bear would be much more romantic than just a regular bear and flowers themselves.

Peter Parker

Peter definitely would get you a very big brown squeezable puppy with huge dangling ears. The scent would be pumpkin spice because that smell always just fills you with warmth. The voice recording would be something encouraging like, “hey…you got this. I believe in you.” The name he gives it, is the nickname that he calls you.

Why did he get you this?

Well for one, Peter feels bad that he’s always outfighting crime, sometimes letting days go by when you two can’t meet face to face and two, he knows how stressed you get by everyday life.

Peter Maximoff

Peter would pick his choices to be funny. He’d pick a sloth to be ironic and the scent would be birthday cake or some other type of sweet pastry you both like. The voice recording would be something totally dumb like when you squeezed it, it would say, “don’t squeeze too hard.” He chose that phrase figuring it would at least get a smile from you every time you heard it. He was right.

Why did he get you this?

Okay so yes he did it for laughs. But, he also did it to be sweet. He felt like he hadn’t been doing enough recently so he got it and knowing you, he knew you would love it.

Druig

Longhorn. He’d definitely choose a longhorn. Just because it’s so out there and it’s familiar. For scent he’d choose peaches because in the village it’s one of the most delicious and delicate aromas. He’d definitely leave a voice recording, maybe one like, “I miss you. Do you miss me?” He told you to squeeze it only when you’re really missing him.

Why did he get you this?

Druig’s seen the brand around before especially when he’s at Phastos’ house and there’s commercials and his kid has one. So he figured why not bring one home as like a little token of life outside the village.

Is it so difficult to understand, with regard to people’s issues about ableism and Bucky’s prosthetic, that it is about the writers’ choices, not the characters? They’re fictional, they’re not actual people with autonomy, whatever the characters do is written and decided by some real person and reflective of that person’s personal biases. It doesn’t matter what you think of any specific character involved. It was a tasteless and disrespectful joke and disabled people are within their rights to speak up and say, “hey, this isn’t fucking funny.”

Are we talking about Ayo or Rocket? In Ayo's case... as I've said, my issue is the lopsided empathy. Let's be completely real here. That empathy being *completely* with Bucky HAS NOTHING TO DO with his prosthetic, but his role as fandom bicycle.... Being the handsome, broody character that is a lot of fandom's fave. The issue continues to be people just plain not even being able to see the perspective of a warrior (and her being a black woman I know has a lot to do w/ it, given the changes I'll indicate) who loyally loves and serves her country and people, assisting a fellow soldier through his PTSD (a dangerous colonizer outsider, who had a history of assassinating people, at that) at great personal risk... Who then watches *that same man*, who likely became a close friend, take her king's assassin, w/o informing her, for some personal mission. She then grants this man...extra time/grace period *DESPITE THIS* and he fights her, patronizingly, when she comes to collect. He fights her with an arm, he clearly didn't want/need for peace... in her homeland (see: post-credits Black Panther yt Jesus) but was made/gifted to him by the DAUGHTER OF THE MAN ASSASSINATED BY THE PERSON HE TOOK FROM IMPRISONMENT. She disarmed a super-weapon. Period. Bucky is a grown-ass man who fucked up MAJORLY and was rightly chastized and humbled for it. Ableism here, would have been babying this character using a disability as an excuse for poor behavior, and consequences ANYONE WOULD SEE. If Bucky had two arms and it was a high-powered sleeve that Ayo detached.... FANDOM WOULD STILL BE BITCHING ABOUT IT. Now... As for Nebula and Rocket??? My only point is the staggering difference in reaction. And yeah, there are still people talking about ableism... but it's nowhere near the magnitude of what happened when Ayo did the right fucking thing, and stopped Bucky from using an enhancement *gifted* to him, by her princess...to put his hands on her vs. now, as a continuity joke.

Whumptober 2022 - Day 22

Pick your poison - Allergic reaction

Clint was just pouring coffee in a mug when he heard the front door of his apartment. Bucky, who sat at the table in the small breakfast nook, ate a bagel and read the newspaper, looked up questioningly, looked at him, then in the direction of the door. But when Lucky jumped up from his spot and ran to the door they both knew it could be only one person: Kate. And right on cue she appeared in their line of vision.

“Ah, thank god you’re here!” she breathed, smiled at Clint while petting Lucky.

“Good morning to you, too, Bucky said and Kate waved in his direction.

“Perfect! The two men I wanted to talk to,” she said and now Clint and Bucky shared a glance.

“What’s the problem?” Bucky wanted to know while Clint slid into the breakfast nook beside him. Kate went to the counter, opened the cupboard above, took out a cup and filled it with coffee before she took the seat opposite of them.

“All right, I need some advice from you,” she said. “I asked America for a second date and she said yes and now… I need a good idea! What did you two do?”

Bucky stopped chewing and looked at Clint who blushed violently.

“Oh, uh…” he said then, sat up a bit straighter, scratched his stubbly chin and licked his lips. “We… uh… we went to the Farmer’s market, then I invited him over here, cooked for him… and then we spent the rest of the evening in the ER,” he said.

“Ah, Farmer’s market and… wait, what?” She stared at the two of them with eyes wide as saucers. “You poisoned him?”

“No,” Bucky chuckled. “Not exactly.”

“Someone…” Clint said and pointedly looked at Bucky now, “... didn’t tell me that he was deadly allergic to peanuts and I didn’t have olive oil so I used the peanut oil I had left.”

“The food was good… until my throat was swelling up and I could barely breathe anymore,” Bucky said.

“So I brought him to the ER as fast as possible where we spent the rest of the evening,” Clint said and smiled when Bucky reached over and placed his arm around Clint’s shoulder.

“No,” Kate shook her head. “That doesn't sound like fun. We should find something else to do.”

“You definitely should find something else to do,” Bucky snorted. “Maybe you could use a pufferfish to poison her.”

“Ha ha ha,” Kate said and stuck out her tongue. “You’re so not funny.”

“You could go to a restaurant,” Clint suggested. “She likes Indian food I think. Didn’t she mention that she liked Indian food, darling?”

Bucky nodded and Kate scratched her chin.

“Yeah,” she said. “Yeah, that sounds more fun than sitting in the ER. Thanks guys!” she said, emptied her mug, scratched Lucky’s ears and literally ran out of the apartment.

“Young love,” Clint sighed and Bucky chuckled, leaned over and kissed his cheek.
