Summary: Bucky and Sam Being loving, overprotective father figures for Steve's child.

You were heartbroken when Steve didn't come back after returning the infinity stones. You were also betrayed that he talked to Bucky about it but not you.

Sam saw how uncomfortable you were around Bucky and immediately took you in. You stayed with him and started healing from the pain your father left you with.

When you cry over your dad, Sam pulls you into a hug and holds you tightly. He rubs your back in hopes of comforting you.

Eventually you start to miss Bucky so Sam starts to get in contact with him. Both are extremely overprotective of you and treat you like your their own child.

You are closer to Sam because of the time spent with him after loosing your dad, so Bucky gets jealous and tries to win you over.

They joke a lot about who you like more. If John Walker messes with you, he'll have to deal with two pissed off dads. Let's just say he won't be near you again.

Bucky tells you stories about your dad and what he was like before Captain America. Sometimes the two of you cry while thinking of happy memories with Steve.

Bucky and Sam love you more than life itself and are willing to do anything to keep you happy.

Might I ask your opinions on Steve/Nat/Bucky as a throuple?

Not my thing because amongst other reasons I'm honestly just not that interested in Bucky -- I see the attraction and I know a lot of people who are very into him, but it's not a character type that does anything for me. I also feel like I've just been really overexposed to Bucky in fandom, both on his own and in various ship combinations, and am generally kind of burnt out on the character and ships thereof over the course of the last 13 years in and around MCU fandom. I don't have anything against the character on his own, I just basically see too much of him around. (As well as being here on the Tumblr/AO3 side of the fandom, I'm also in the pin-collecting and cosplay sides, and if you're anywhere around the Captain America and Black Widow segments of the fandom, there is just...a lot of Bucky. Which is understandable but kind of frustrating for me if I'm not there for that particular character.)

In general I also find that it's impossible to find any kind of BuckyNat (or combos thereof) that's MCU-based rather than comics-based, which means disregarding basically everything about Natasha's backstory and characterization from the MCU in order to transfer her comics backstory over to the MCU, which is a huge no-go for me these days. (This was a little more understandable back in 2012 when there just wasn't that much to go on, but it is 2024 now; in general I find most of the fic that stems from 2011-2016 to be near-unreadable for me these days which is actually incredibly frustrating, since until I started writing in it the MCU was my longest-running reading fandom even when I wasn't actually in the fandom. There are fics -- of various ships -- that I have been reading for ten plus years that I can't read anymore.) I realize I got seriously into the fandom after the Black Widow movie came out, but even before that you couldn't really transfer her comics backstory over to the MCU, with or without the Bucky relationship. I've also found, reading the ship on and off over the course of the past thirteen years (like I said, I've been here for a while), that very few authors are actually interested in the SteveNat of that particular threesome and it tends to slant towards being a combination of BuckyNat and SteveBucky rather than a true OT3. And I'm a SteveNat truther, so... *hands*

The short version of all that is that it doesn't do it for me, but I get why people like it.

What Build A Bear They Get You And How They Surprise You With It

Part Two

Loki

If they had an alligator that’s what Loki would get you. Otherwise he would just get something aquatic. Maybe an Axolotl. The scent would be thin mints, and I honestly don’t think he’d put in a voice recording. He’d allow you the privilege of naming it to which you would name it Loki. He’d get slightly annoyed at that choice but he’d just be happy you like it.

Why did he get you this?

He noticed you were upset lately and he thought it was a good pick me up.

Bucky Barnes

Now he may seem cold but somewhere behind his frozen heart is still a romantic. So be sure he’d get you one for those red rose bears. The scent is flowers or roses. Although Buck’s has a warm heart deep down, he still has some trouble expressing himself easily so the sound included in the bear would be the sound of a beating heartbeat. He wouldn’t give the bear a name, he’d let you name it.

Why did he get you this?

It was an anniversary occasion and he thought the rose bear would be much more romantic than just a regular bear and flowers themselves.

Peter Parker

Peter definitely would get you a very big brown squeezable puppy with huge dangling ears. The scent would be pumpkin spice because that smell always just fills you with warmth. The voice recording would be something encouraging like, “hey…you got this. I believe in you.” The name he gives it, is the nickname that he calls you.

Why did he get you this?

Well for one, Peter feels bad that he’s always outfighting crime, sometimes letting days go by when you two can’t meet face to face and two, he knows how stressed you get by everyday life.

Peter Maximoff

Peter would pick his choices to be funny. He’d pick a sloth to be ironic and the scent would be birthday cake or some other type of sweet pastry you both like. The voice recording would be something totally dumb like when you squeezed it, it would say, “don’t squeeze too hard.” He chose that phrase figuring it would at least get a smile from you every time you heard it. He was right.

Why did he get you this?

Okay so yes he did it for laughs. But, he also did it to be sweet. He felt like he hadn’t been doing enough recently so he got it and knowing you, he knew you would love it.

Druig

Longhorn. He’d definitely choose a longhorn. Just because it’s so out there and it’s familiar. For scent he’d choose peaches because in the village it’s one of the most delicious and delicate aromas. He’d definitely leave a voice recording, maybe one like, “I miss you. Do you miss me?” He told you to squeeze it only when you’re really missing him.

Why did he get you this?

Druig’s seen the brand around before especially when he’s at Phastos’ house and there’s commercials and his kid has one. So he figured why not bring one home as like a little token of life outside the village.

Marvel Characters react to you coming out🏳️‍🌈

Moon knight

Marc- Marc has been your best friend since you were children. He's always been completely supportive of you, so you weren't very nervous about coming out to him. The second you told him he made sure you got the point he supports you. He'd probably say something along the lines of "I know" in a humorous voice. He told you how your his best friend and he'd love you know matter what.

Steven- From the moment you met Steven you both got along very well. He has been your friend for a few years, yet you still haven't come out to him. You were nervous he wouldn't accept you even though you knew deep inside he would. When you finally told him it seemed he was confused at first. "What's wrong?" You ask in a concerned tone. "Oh nothing, I'm sorry- it's just that Marc had already told me". He apologizes for scaring you and tells you he completely supports you.

Jake- You had just one last person to come out to. You would've been happy there's only one left if it hadn't been Jake. You only knew him for a few months and even though he had been very kind to you, you were still nervous. Marc and Steven had assured you it would be alright so you finally convinced yourself to do it. You were terrified, knowing there was a chance he could be extremely homophobic. When you told him, he gave you a serious face. He asked if you thought he wouldn't support you in an offended tone. You assured him you were just as nervous to tell Marc and Steven. He gave you a sad face, responding "I'll support you no matter what."

Avengers

Loki- Loki had met you when he first came to Earth and he immediately became friends with you. He told everyone you were the only human worth his time. He had already come out to you as gender fluid so you felt guilty not coming out to him as well. You kept telling yourself it was too late to come out even though you knew it wasn't. Eventually you decide it's a good time to be truthful with him so you start mentally preparing to come out to him. When you do, he smiles, hugging you. He lets you know he supports you and tells you he's happy you felt comfortable telling him.

Bucky- You and bucky immediately became close friends. You had been terrified to come out to him since you heard people were extremely homophobic when he grew up. You decided it was now or never, and told him. "It doesn't matter who or what you are, you'll always be my friend" he reassured you. You smiled, thanking him.

Stephen- Stephen had been your friend since before you could remember. You grew up together and barely fought. Your friendship had been perfect, which was why you were so nervous to come out to him. You had no idea his opinion on lgbtq so you were terrified he'd turn out being homophobic. When you told him, he immediately told you that he still thinks of you the same way and will always respect and love you as a friend. He hugged you and told you how much he supports and looks up to you.

Natasha- You met Natasha when you started working as an avenger. You quickly became friends and have been friends ever since. When you decided to come out to her you were nervous she wouldn't support you, but you were very wrong. When you came out she happily reassured you that she supports you and that she has other lgbtq friends that she supports as well.

Peter- You and Peter had been friends since birth because of how your parents were close friends with his. You had been planning on coming out to him for a while now, but everytime you try to you get too nervous and change the subject to something else completely. You had finally thought of the perfect idea. You had bought a rainbow cake and wrote "I'm gay" on it with frosting. You had found it hilarious and knew he would too. When you showed him the cake he loved it and thanked you for telling him.

Steve- You and Steve had become very close friends while working together as avengers. He had been nothing but caring to you, yet you were still nervous to come out to him. You knew people weren't as accepting during his times. You were finally to finally push your anxiety aside and tell him. As you started explaining to him, he smiled and nodded understandingly.

Tony- You and Tony had been best friends since high school. The two of you always stuck together and protected each other. He had been very supportive as the two of you grew up, but as time moved on you felt more and more guilty for not being truthful with him. You've wanted to come out for years, but you were too nervous he'd be mad at you for keeping it from him. You both made sure never to keep secrets so it felt wrong to tell him now. You decided the best way to come out was to start leaving small hints. So you started talking about your past relationships and previous experiences hoping he'd get the point. But he never mentioned it so you forced yourself to just tell him. He laughed and told you "I've known for years, I just wanted you to tell me". He smiles at you and hugs you, letting you know he'll be there for you forever.
