Thinking about Buck having a favorite hoodie because it has sentimental value to him but it gets ruined somehow. He’s sad that he has to throw it away, but Eddie saves a piece of it, a little square of material, and sews it into the inside of the sleeve of a new hoodie. He stitches it so that the material of the old one lays over the pulse point of Buck’s wrist, giving him a sense of comfort from that old hoodie.

after the conversation about eddie sucking at dating in the truck i'm convinced that when buck finally has his feelings realisation he discovers a new kink for eddie's complete lack of game. it only gets worse when they're officially dating. the first time eddie stammers his way through asking buck on a date, buck is instantly hard. eddie tries to do the yawn move and tweaks his shoulder and buck is in his lap before he can blink. he attempts a striptease and trips over his jeans and buck is on him like a puma in heat. it's an endless feedback loop where as buck gets hornier eddie gets more flustered which only makes buck even hornier.

Random Buddie Headcanons:

Buck smells like strawberries

This is because he uses strawberry shampoo

Eddie tastes like chocolate when they kiss, no matter what he’s eaten

Eddie is always the one to wrap his arms under Buck’s, not necessarily because he’s shorter but mostly because he likes laying his head on Buck’s chest

When they sit on the couch Buck will play with Eddie’s hair, for no real purpose, he just likes how it feels

It’s the same with Eddie but only when Buck doesn’t cut his hair for a while

He’s obsessed with the little curls he gets

Eddie sleeps on the left side of the bed

Buck has a mug with a bee on it

Eddie has one that says ‘worlds best husband’ even though they aren’t married yet

Chris calls them Dad One and Dad Two, like Thing One and Thing Two

Buck will still read to Chris sometimes at night, even though he’s getting older

The first time Chris called Buck dad he said “this is my dad Eddie and this is my other dad Buck”

It was to one of his teachers at a parent night

Buck cried in the bathroom

This one is kind of canon but Buck will go all out on Christmas

Halloween is Eddie’s holiday

Eddie falls asleep during most of the movies he watches with Buck and Buck will stay there with him until his arm falls asleep

Buck calls him an ‘old man’ for doing this

When they do get engaged, Eddie had this big thing planned for Buck

But the week before he asked Eddie to marry him over their morning coffee

Eddie’s too happy to even care that his plan was messed up

This one feels canon but Buck loves Taylor Swift

Eddie got him tickets for his birthday and all Buck could say was ‘this is why I want to marry you’

cause i'm a sucker for angst (and i keep seeing that tiktok audio), i just think it would be so delightful if they do talk about buddie on s7 but in a "oh. we've already missed our chance." kind of way. this also falls on my "buck fell first, eddie fell too late." agenda.

i'd like to think it would fit with the cemetery scene from s6 ep15.

buck says, "i feel like she sees me." eddie shots him a look. there's tension in the air, and eddie give him an incredulous look. some kind of betrayal seeping through his face. "you know? like she really sees me for who i am and what i've been through."

but instead of just staring broodingly or joking, eddie snaps back with, "i see you."

buck would smile because yeah, eddie's his bestfriend and nothing— nothing— could change that and he'll forever see him in a way others haven't but it's just not what buck wanted. so he says, "but not in the way i wanted you too."

some kind of surprise and guilt flashes on eddie's face and buck catches it so easily, so he tries fix it a little, "it's okay. i'm not in love with you anymore."

and eddie just stands there.

"i didn't you know ever were."

No matter how long it would be after 3s I would always ask myself "WHEN did Buck and Eddie exchange their keys?"

Especially because in 2s we never see them in each other's houses( I mean only Diaz house and loft) , but boom in 3s Eddie has keys for the loft. Really fast and big change. Especially considering the fact that Hen and Chim friends for more that 10 years but they don't have keys to each other's houses.

My strongest hc is that it happened when Buck was with cast and couldn't move fast so when Diaz boys came to see him he didn't want make them and especially Chris wait near door for too long, so he gave Eddie keys. "I don't want you two wait till I will make it to the door, so here. It will be more convenient for everyone. Come to see me anytime you want." Buck didn't expect the same back, and actually Eddie was firstly surprised and needed sometime to think that yes he wants Buck to have keys from his house. So he went and made it for him cause he hadn't had new keys to give to Buck. Then some days after Eddie left his keys in Buck's house without words and Buck put them with his. They never talked about it again. And when Buck was without cast it was just easier to never take back keys cause what's the point? It works for them like that perfectly, so why change it?

Saw a post about how people used to think Buck was aware he liked Eddie and wasn’t acting on it and now people think Eddie knows he liked Buck but isn’t saying anything. Well I think both are true..... at least in my head canon :)

I think Buck liked Eddie during season 2 but stepped back cause of Shannon and Eddie being “straight”. Season 3 was divorce era. Eddie obvi had feelings but didn’t realize/ wasn’t aware (therapized) and Buck gave up on his feelings a while ago. Then season 4 Eddie tried to move on with Ana, Buck with Taylor. Then the shooting happened..... In season 5 I think Eddie realized after everything. Now in 6, he knows but doesn’t think Buck is there yet. Buck is going through a lot as we know.

i love seeing buck be super worried about eddie and freak out about him(in like the worried husband way)

but i hope in 6b or in the later seasons we see eddie act the same way about buck

for example: buck gets stuck in a burning house/building/whatever and eddie is like asking around about where buck is and no one knows and bucks still in the building

eddie starts freaking out, and he’s trying to run back into the house and bobby and the team are trying to pull him back

bobby is trying to reason with him and eddie is just like “you don’t understand i have to get him” and bobby says something about why he was doing this and they would all go in and get him and eddie YELLS “BECAUSE I LOVE HIM”

everyone goes DEAD silent, except bobby who reassures eddie that they will find him but he needs to relax right now because panicking won’t help

eddie is still in shock about what he said and he just sits by the curb with his head in his hands

idk how this whole thing would end but this is just one of those stupid lil headcanons of mine

okay ever since that poll i cannot stop thinking about the sheer potential of buck and eddie hooking up between seasons 3 and 4. like whatever your own vote was just hear me out on this because the emotional fallout from season 3 alone would be all-consuming. you have all the leftover lingering emotions from the tsunami and the lawsuit and eddie's fighting and the well and the will and abby's return. all that pent up fear of losing each other, of having lost each other, the anger and the jealousy, the overwhelming relief that they're both still here and they have each other, and all those negative emotions only ever borne of this deep devotion and care for each other that maybe just beginning to realise that it might lead somewhere more than friendship but doing their best to ignore it because of that fear of losing each other. then as well as motive they have the means in chris going away to camp. and on buck's part you have him finding out maddie and chim are pregnant which maybe makes him feel a little left behind and he's wondering why he feels so desolate about chris being away at camp and it's messy and confusing and scary so of course he goes to eddie who's also missing their kid. and then you have the start of covid, the fear, the uncertainty, the separation from chris and the quarantine in buck's apartment. them clinging to each other in amidst all the chaos and confusion, everything from season 3 and now this new scary thing snowballing into them finding some comfort and familiarity in each other if only for one night. like come on, that slaps.
