And then at the end he loses it because he needs to find Buck and he's not getting closer and he's not Staff Sergeant Diaz anymore but just Eds. (Bonus if fighter Eddie era makes a show)

I had such a weird Buck/Eddie AU dream last night.

Eddie had bought an old house up in Boston, moving there with Chris. While Eddie can't see anything different with their new house, Chris immediately can see that it's haunted.

Buck is the ghost, he was a firefighter in Boston in the late 1940s and was a "confirmed bachelor." Some of his coworkers on the BostonFD in the 1940s figured out he liked men - and killed him. He has been haunting this old house where he was murdered for the last 80 years.

Chris realizes that there is a ghost in the house first. He ends up befriending Buck, who helps him with his history homework. Chris gets a project at school about the history of the city and Buck tells him everything. The teacher can't understand how Chris (as a new student to the local HS) knew about some of the local lore that isn't really written down - and certainly wouldn't be available to a school student.

The teacher has a conference with Eddie asking how Chris found out all that stuff about the town. Eddie ends up asking Chris and Chris breaks and says it's the ghost. Eddie, at first, didn't believe him. But he finally notices that stuff around his house has been cleaned up and tidied up for him when he's had a long day.

Finally, Eddie like... lit some ritual or something in the attic of the house and he could see Buck in the smoke (it was this weird effect where he blew the smoke and the smoke acted like it hit against a solid object so he could kind of "see" the outline of Buck in the smoke.

Buck, the ghost teaches Eddie to cook and does stuff like turn off the oven for Eddie. One day when showering, Eddie caught a glimpse of Buck in the bathroom mirror. Then Buck was gone for like a month or something and Eddie broke and bought a ouigi board to try to ask him where he went. Buck apologized for watching Eddie in the shower, but Eddie was ok with it.

I am not really remembering the rest of it, except Chris ending up going to college and Eddie staying in the House with Buck. There was also this bit where Buck couldn't leave the House, but Chris figured out that Buck could go anywhere they brought a chair for him. So they got this old folding chair from the basement and took it everywhere with them (so this aquarium, to a zoo, when they when on vacation to Texas) so that Buck could be with them too. It was so so sweet.

Eddie has always kept his emotions, like cards, close to his chest. No point playing with fire when all it does is burn your fingers and leave your throat coated with soot. 

He likes to think he knows a thing or two about fire, professionally and personally. He's been burnt before. He's watched his world turn to ashes in his hands and bleed out across the street, he's painted streets in his own blood and watched the way it streaked across his best friend's face as every last fractile slid into place and Eddie realized that the burning was in his veins all along.

In a hospital bed with Buck standing in the doorway, Eddie swears to never show his hand. He will bluff until his dying breath.

Even Eddie thinks it's ironic that the love he tried to bury so deep so as not to singe anyone but himself now seems to burn tangibly around him as he scrambles frantically for purchase on the dangling banister of the staircase. He heard Buck's screams as the floor fell out from beneath his feet and heard his own as Buck disappeared into the pit of smoke and flickering flames of the floor below. A kind of primal roar, all anguish, and horror.

"Buck!" He yells again and hacks a cough against the smoke and haze. "Buck!"

Distantly he thinks that Bobby is trying to say something through the radio but over the crackle and snap of flame and frame, Eddie can barely decipher a thing.

He sobs against the banisher and grips tighter as his feet dangle over the chasm into which Buck fell, taking the last of Eddie's resolve with him. He folds, he folds Goddammit!

Next thing he knows Hen and Chimney are there, each wrapping an arm around him and dragging him up onto the landing and out a nearby window to the waiting arm of the ladder truck. At first, he kicks and screams like a petulant child before going slack in their hold and allowing himself to be lowered to the dewing grass below. 

He's at Bobby's feet, shaking and shivering against the sudden shift in temperature as Hen wipes the soot from his cheeks along with the salt. He hasn't stopped crying and he doesn't think he'll ever stop until Chimney emerges from the haze. Eddie's not sure when he left or where he went but when he takes in the larger form dropping themself across his shoulder, damp blonde curls and blue eyes glinting in the floodlights, Eddie all but scrambles to his feet at the same speed at which Buck collapses to his knees and they collide in the middle in a mess of limbs and frantically grabbing hands.

"I'm okay, I'm okay." Buck is whispering as he presses his face into Eddie's neck. Eddie's hands scratch for purchase at the back of his head, the collar of his turn out, the curve of his cheek. He digs in until he's sure his touch will bruise but Buck grips him right back.

"Buck." He sobs. "Buck–."

"I'm right here. Right here, Eds."

He burns and the flames rise higher even as the real fire is smothered. 

Eventually, he pulls away long enough to drag his gaze over Buck's face and then press their foreheads together. Buck’s hands slide up to cup Eddie’s jaw from both sides and Eddie lets the weight of his head lull and rest in his hold. Buck presses a kiss to Eddie’s cheek, then his nose, and then his brow. Eddie’s shoulders shake and he shoves his quivering hands under Buck’s coat to fist at the soft fabric of his shirt beneath. 

“I love you!” He blurts out. His hands climb up Buck’s chest, the firm expanse of muscle, reveling in the methodical expansion and contraction of his ribcage with every breath. His hands squeeze around the neck of Buck’s uniform and he presses himself closer. “I love you.”

“Hey, hey.” Buck wraps himself around Eddie like a cloak and pulls him firmly against his chest. Eddie struggles against him but Buck only grips him tighter. “Shh, Eds. You’re okay. We’re both okay, yeah?”

“I love you. “ He says again, the way it rips from his throat sounding more and more like a plea than a confession. 

Buck strokes a hand down the back of Eddie’s head. “I know. I love you too,” He leans back against the wheel of the ladder truck, taking Eddie’s prone form with him. “And we will have all the time in the world to talk about it later. But right now, just let me hold you. Please.”

Eddie has never been in the business of denying Buck anything. 

Later they will wash the smoke and tears from each other’s bodies. Later they will cry on the couch and again in the bed, curled into each other's arms trading slow, grateful kisses between affirmations. In the morning, Eddie will lay all of his cards out on the table and they’ll talk about a few other things that they maybe should have done a long time ago. And in the light of day, Eddie will tell Buck he loves him, again and again, and Buck will say it right back.

this stumped me for a bit, but then i thought up of a cute, fluffy idea <3

It didn’t take a genius to notice Eddie is in a bad mood.  His usual lazy strut into the station is instead replaced by an angry fast paced one as he slams his duffle bag into his shared locker with Buck. Buck raises his eyebrows in question but is met with no response. When they both head to the gym equipment, Eddie heads over to the punching bag. His fists hitting the bag with more force than necessary. That one has Chimney asking Eddie if he’s feeling alright, only to be met with a grunt in response. Then things really take a turn when Hen takes the last of the homemade brownies Bobby made. (He doesn’t trust any that aren’t made from people working at the firehouse after last time.) “So you’re just going to take my brownie, Hen?” Eddie asks passive aggressively. Hen is still holding the brownie a few inches above the plate. “I counted how many each of us get. Bobby had two, Chim had two, Buck gets three for some reason, you had your two and I,” he pauses for dramatic effect, “I only had one. So that brownie is mine. And I deserve that brownie.”  Hen opens her mouth as if she’s about to say something then thinks better of it. “My bad, Eddie. Wasn’t thinking. All yours.” Once everyone is done with their lunch, Buck heads to his locker, fishing around for some ibuprofen. There has only been a handful of times he’s seen Eddie this irritable before. And he knows Eddie is too stubborn to admit it. Heading back up to the kitchen table, he sets the medication down silently in front of Eddie. Looking up at Buck questionably, he asks, “What’s this?” Buck shrugs. “You’re snapping. Headache again?” Eddie rolls his eyes. “No.” But he takes a couple pills anyway. “Chris beat me at MarioKart last night. Twice.” Buck laughs. Eddie is famous for not letting his son beat him at any videogame. Especially when it comes to MarioKart.  “Poor baby,” Buck coos. “No wonder you needed that last brownie.” “Yeah, yeah.” Eddie chucks the ibuprofen at Buck, intending to catch him off guard. Instead, he catches it flawlessly.  “Come on, I’m sure one of these guys can give you some pointers.”

I'll try and summarize them for y'all and if you have a question about a specific one, please feel free to ask.

In no particular order we have -

9-1-1/ Fast and Furious Crossover I think this is my biggest WIP right now. I made it so Letty is Eddie's cousin and when Dom gets told that she may still be alive Brian convinces him to tell Eddie because he deserves to know.

Jealous Eddie Then we got a short one going where Eddie gets jealous of a new firefighter you keeps trying to hit on Buck and he says, “Let’s see if he’s still interested in being nice with my mark on you.”

MMA Trainer Eddie This one has mma trainer Eddie who is helping Maddie train and feel more confident in herself after getting ending things with Doug, who doesn't take no for an answer. One particular day Buck joins her, doing his own workout and basically hating Eddie like in the show with Eddie crushing hard and in the midst of it all Doug shows up.

Military Police Arresting Eddie Eddie ends up being arrested by the military police and won't tell them why which leads to a panicky Buck. Newly established Buddie. This one is fully plotted out it just needs to be written, I only have the first part down.

Post lawsuit bullying There's this one I'm working on based on a prompt I got ages ago where Buck's being bullied and hurt by some of the other firefighters at the 118 after the lawsuit and its newly established buddie and Eddie, Bobby, Hen, and Chim don't know about it and he's trying to keep it a secret cause he doesn't want to cause anymore trouble.

And tbh theres probably some others I'm missing too but here are some of them XD
