as for Panthera’s “special mode”, that’s called Mass Obliteration!

Plagg leaving the ring while Panthera is transformed is a marker on how much experience she’s had being Panthera.

When characters are transformed, they absorb that Kwami’s power to wear the suit. Then they expend a lots of that magic to use their powers and if they’re young and haven’t used that miraculous much- or don’t have lots of magic in general- then that magic is pretty much depleted to nothing once that power is used and their battery runs out after five minutes.

The Kwami is like the power source to the holder’s battery/charge, with the miraculous being the chord between them. Usually you need them “plugged in” aka in the miraculous at all time when the holder is transformed. However! Panthera’s gotten so used to Plagg’s essence that even if he leaves the ring for a bit, she can stay transformed as she has a bit of his magic to naturally spare. I hope that makes sense I’m babbling. Thank you to my buddy @ghostatjoes for that lore.

The base was in the original Shanghai episode. Ladybug’s plan was to get vored and break the akuma from the inside. It had organs. Mei Shi had organs. I was so disturbed, I didn’t wanna write that— and also I felt like Ladybug overhauling Fei’s fight was wrong. That was HER villain yknow. Wanted Fei to finish it all by herself.

I’m glad you enjoyed! This was def one of my favorite chapters ever to write. I think the size is an obvious indicator. I hope you guys enjoy Season 3! It’s coming I swear. I’m just writing a fun chapter before I drag you all into my hole of hell that I’ve been stewing over for years.

Happy Juno Steel’s birthday! I give you Pokémon au where Benzaiten is still alive and they do killer double battles together.

They were given a gastly (Juno’s) and cleffa (Ben’s) when they were pretty young and so they have a super close bond with them. Their cleffa and gastly evolve at a similar time and down the road Ben and Juno plan to evolve them again (Juno would trade Ben haunter so he evolves to Gengar, then they trade back. And at a similar time Ben would give Clefairy a moon stone). But if I wanted to be tragic like the canon, Ben could’ve died before they could go through with that plan. And both Juno and haunter are to upset to through with the plan for YEARS. Maybe Juno keeps the moon stone on a necklace or something. Maybe Juno takes in Ben’s Pokémon after he dies? Maybe part of Juno’s healing that happens after season two is finally evolving haunter and clefairy. Anyways, for now I’ll just keep thinking about how they’d kill it at double battles

Also added the Pokémon teams of the rest of the Carte Blanche crew + Ben because I love them!! Gonna explain the teams because I’m insane

Juno:

Haunter - starter and is like the other side of the same coin with Ben’s clefairy (especially when they evolve into Gengar and Clefable)

Muk - Martian sewers

Trubbish - was trying so hard to find a weird bunny Pokémon to be Small Fry and if you squint hard enough that’s basically trubbish

Banette - Puppet Pokémon for when he was being puppeted by Ramses O’Flaherty

Ben:

Clefairy - starter, same coin blah blah

Steenee, Aromatisse, and Oricorio - Dance Pokémon for the ballet dancer! (Bonus points for Oricorio in its Sensu style because Benzaiten is a Japanese goddess and Sensu dance is from Japan)

Rita:

Rotom - Her ace because she uses it to hack into electronics

Morpeko - electric Pokémon that needs stacks to stay happy? Come on that’s SO Rita

Dedenne and Swirlix - Cuties she shares snacks with

Bewear and Electivire - she calls them the muscle but electivire accidentally knocked out some bug Pokémon from stepping on it and cried for a week and Bewear is to lazy to help with anything

Peter:

Absol - Angel of Brahma. Do I need to say more

Unfezant, Thievul, and Liepard - these bitches be wearing masks and will steal your goods while your not looking

Zoroark - Can transform into literally anything

Buddy:

Delphox - Buddy’s ace because DUH fire fox that’s so her!

Ninetales, Arcanine, Quilava, and Talonflame - Buddy is obvi a fire type trainer

Altaria - Fire type trainer with the exception of shiny Altaria because they are to elegant not to give Buddy and they’re shiny because it fits her color palette better. And Buddy is just enough extra to have a shiny

Optional, Beautifly - Buddy could replace one of her fire types with Beautifly and then Vespa could have Dustox so then it’s like butterfly and moth wives and also sun and moon wives (their last names mean sun (Aurinko) and moon (Ilkay)

Vespa:

Beedrill - Vespa means wasp and beedrill is basically a wasp

Ariados, Toxicroak, Yanmega, Barraskewda, and Bisharp - all of them a fast, pointy, and look like you can find them in a swamp, except for bisharp which is just fast and pointy

Jet:

Revavroom - the man LOVES cars. Plus revavroom can be something adjacent to the Ruby 7 (maybe Juno starts taking care of it after Carte Blanche crew splits up)

Mamoswine, Magnezone, Blastoise, and Rhyhorm - beefy guys that feel like Jet to me

YEAHEAYEAY anyways INFODUMP OVER, if you read all of this you get a medal 🏅. Congrats. May do side characters and villains at some point, but for now this is all you get :P

Ta!Ash never realized how often hunters come to Alola until one day he was cornered by one with his lackies while walking around in the jungle with Pikachu and the twins. usually he was good at spotting traps, a million and one experiences within his years of traveling, but he was so deep in thought he walked right into one. 

it was easy to see it was meant for a Bewear, the size of the sprung cage was abnormally large for the majority of the Alolan Pokémon that ran around this section of jungle and the bars were thicker then Ash’s forearm. what was the most annoying thing was that it seemed the men were camping nearby. attracted to Ash’s predicament by the loud sound that totally scattered the other wild Pokémon away. 

Ash wasn’t having a good day to start. he woke up late after drinking a tad to much for a Sunday and his coffee pot broke. nothing was going his way either at school as the kids were rambunctious then Ash had ever seen them, excited about their week long vacation that was going to start at the end of the week and their loud noises drove Ash’s migraine through the damn roof. enough so that he nearly almost shattered Sophocles when the little scientist decided that it would be funny to scare Ash when the Ta was completely dissociating during PE. his leg had winded up and a cloud of red filled his vision, it didn’t help that Ash still wanted to hurt the boy afterwards after he realized it was one of his kids. anger issues and already barely contained bloodlust bubbled under his skin yet somehow he was able to get through the day and not lose his shit. 

it didn’t stop his throat from burning as Ash had to regulate his breathing through his mouth. breath’s controlled yet heavy and slightly raspy through every cry of joy or mock anger from the kids as they talked, talked, and talked about their upcoming holiday. 

it was the reason why he was in the forest in the first place. Pokémon skittering around him as Ash’s aura beat to the rhythm of a killer, erratic and fast, and his heart matched it. he just couldn’t stand anymore human contact and Ash felt not a single drop of guilt as he snarled at the kids to leave him alone for once. it hurt to see their faces dropped but it was better then Ash loosing his control and sinking teeth into young skin like some wild monster that Ash pretends he isn’t. 

the trap, the hunter and his lackeys was Ash’s breaking point. any semblance of control that Ash tried to trick himself into think he had snapped. it should worry him how easy it was to bend steal bars, almost like breathing but easier, and ripping the eyes out of the hunter’s ugly ass face. body dropping as his other hand covered the larger mans face and snapped his neck so the screaming would stop. one look at the other’s had them running. wrong move on their part as Ash leaned heavily into the animalistic urge to chase. 

it was morbid of Ash, afterwards when he piled the bodies up at his still barely furnitured house and started to tear their limbs up for easier distribution to hide around the island, to call Kukui on the landline while he was drenched in blood. fit took a while to fiddle with his aura to act as an extension cord so the phone could still work. bones being forced out of their sockets and strings of muscle and fat squelching around his fingers as he grab more parts as he lied to the Professor with an ease that would have his 10 year old self sobbing. 

he chose to sleep outside in the woods after telling Pikachu to stay in the house because even if he loves his buddy and would burn the entire world to the ground if Pikachu asked, Ash wanted to be alone to burry the bastards that decided that it was okay to take from the island. tapu Koko’s aura a small flicker was a constant dot registering on Ash’s conscious but he ignored the legendary. it seemed Tapu Koko wasn’t going to mess with him either as he never inched forward through the hours of digging. 

the next morning Ash is calm and quite. he wears his sunglasses tight to his face and not like the normal position of where their slipping off his nose and his hat sits tight and sturdy on Ash’s head. he doesn’t say hello to the employee at the cash register when he places a new coffee maker on the belt, doesn’t say a word until he’s back in class the day after when he knows it’s easy to pretend again and greets the kids who look guilty and chastised. Kukui standing up and glaring at them from the chalkboard and greeted his Ta with a cup of coffee despite Ash holding his traveling mug. 

Ash takes it regardless, feeds Pikachu his Poke bean when they get to his desk, and talks more then he ever had in the class that day.

Okay, so my suggestion how the first years met the Warden: Yuu and the first year gang lost in a cave (like minecraft's deep dark cave), they were separated from Yuu while trying to leave unintentionally summoned the Warden that attacks them and like in a heroic moment Yuu appears and was happy to see the monster. "HEY BUDDY!" and the moment when Warden hears their voice and looks like it's going to attack them, but just bear hugs Yuu. the boys are "wtf? o.O"

"Thanks again for the save, today."

"Don't mention it," Thena said softly, opting for that rather than telling him that it was insane to think that she wouldn't come to his rescue if he needed her. "Did you at least get some rest this afternoon?"

"The Audino checked me over and I was cleared for duty!" he smiled, although Thena glared at him for it. He chuckled, stirring around his bowl of soup. "Really, Thena, I promise I'm fine. They're trained to treat people and pokemon there, and they all agreed I could go back to work tomorrow."

He was omitting the fact that they wanted to keep him overnight for observation. The only reason he was here for dinner was on the promise that he would come back tonight and sleep with routine check-ins by the medical staff at the ranger centre.

"Ursa?!"

Gil chuckled, patting Teddiursa on the head as Thena ladled him more soup before he could even protest. "Don't worry, buddy, I'm fine. Your brave Mama came and rescued me from a pack of wild pokemon today."

"Teddi!" Yes, the little cub knew that, because he had been left home with Ninetales since it was 'too dangerous', and 'nowhere for her baby'. "Teddiursa!"

"No," Thena reasserted, and it silenced the little bear in one blow. Although he did sit himself on the counter with his little paws crossed and his cheeks puffed out. Thena shook her head, poking one of those fuzzy little cheeks and immediately receiving a giggle as a reward. "Bewear are very dangerous pokemon. I couldn't risk you getting hurt if things didn't go well."

"Teddiursa!" it protested, gesturing to Gallade. If the fighting/psychic type was entrusted to protect Thena and Gil out in the field, then why couldn't it have come too?

Thena set Gil's bowl back in his hands before poking Teddiursa in the tummy, getting another giggle for it. "That's enough of that, sweetie-poffin. Gallade had enough to worry about out there."

Damn right he did, Gallade mused as he observed the little family around him. Thena was tickling the grumpiness out of her little cub while Ranger Gil...well, he was watching Thena. Like always.

Gil took another bite of soup. The base of it was his own recipe that he'd managed to teach Thena (through excruciating trial and error). She was terrible at making human food, but at least with his soup base recipe all she had to do was throw in edible ingredients. And this soup sure was edible.

Thena settled Teddiursa against her hip, looking at Gil to see if he was regaining the colour in his cheeks. But when she looked at him he was already looking at her, and with a funny look on his face. Thena's cheeks took on colour of their own.

Gallade rolled its eyes. One night of watching tv without witnessing its trainer's terrible attempt at a love life--was that so much to ask?

"Ninetales," the fox pokemon by the fire commented. As always, she chose to stay out of it; if Thena figured out her feelings for the Ranger then good for her. But Ninetales was happy to let it happen organically.

After all, Ninetales had known about Gil's feelings for Thena since she was a Vulpix. Gil had a similar ignorance to it all as Thena did, but certainly he knew he felt...something, for Thena. It was further than the ace trainer had gotten to figuring it out, for Arceus' sake.

"Gallade," the Blade pokemon replied, looking over its shoulder again.

"Tell me you don't have to go out there again tonight," Thena frowned at Gil, scratching behind Teddiursa's ears idly.

"Not tonight, I'm just heading back to the centre to rest," Gil shook his head, still eating the soup. "I've got afternoon duty tomorrow, though."

Thena sighed, although her eyes made it seem like she'd rather be yelling, "I would think you could take a few days off after nearly being choked to death by a wild Bewear."

Gil didn't even blink, though, just laughing into his next spoonful. "Ah, it's okay. And besides, it's pretty much just aerial sweeps."

"Just don't go flying into a flock of Altaria," Thena teased a little more lightly, bumping his hip with hers.

They could just sit at her table, like normal people. But they took all their meals in the kitchen, standing up, talking with their heads close, elbows bumping, trading soft stories and loud, belting laughs.

Gallade turned the tv off and stood; enough was enough.

"I know you'd rescue me anyway," Gil chuckled, bumping her hip right back and setting down his third empty bowl on the counter. He turned to face her properly.

"Excuse me," she laughed, letting Teddiursa hop out of her arms to take Gil's bowl to the sink for her. "Who's the Ranger here?"

"Hey, I'm a pokemon Ranger, I range pokemon," Gil corrected, making Thena laugh until her cheeks were pink.

Gallade sighed, 'bumping' into Gil's back on its way to the berry cupboard.

Gil blinked rapidly, eyes wide. He had collided with Thena, pressing her against the counter, although he'd reached out to brace himself - and her - from the fall.

Thena's eyes had squeezed shut as Gil's lips landed against hers. She had been laughing--she un-pursed her lips, relaxing them against his. It was...kind of nice.

Gil was stunned as he felt Thena melt against him, just a little. But he realised too late that his eyes were already closed. He was already kissing her back. His hand was already on her cheek to do it.

Thena sighed as they parted ways, pulling away slowly. Her eyes fluttered open and found Gil's doing the same. She stared at him, wondering if he always looked so...wonderful. "Um..."

"Okay," Gil mumbled back, trying to think of what to say. He had no fear wandering right into a pack of Bewear, sure, but uttering a few words to his beautiful trainer friend?--apparently impossible.

"Right."

"Uh," Gil sucked in a breath. He was still standing close to her, not having moved all that far away after the kiss. He tapped his thumb against her hip, "hey."

Thena peeked up at him through long, sandy lashes.

Gil kissed her again. Thena leaned into it more naturally this time. His hand came up, brushing over her cheek and pushing her hair back a little. Their heads tilted to the side together as they pulled apart again. Gil licked his lips. "I have to go, but...can I...come see you in the morning?"

Thena licked her lips too, nodding as they eyes held together almost too strongly. She smiled, "same time as always?"

"Yeah," Gil let out a faint laugh, smiling at her like he had never seen anything like her.

He hadn't.

"Okay," Thena whispered, keeping her eyes on him as he reached around blindly for his hat, gripping it in his hand as he waved to her on his way out. She waved back, "see you then."

Gil stared at her until the door had to break their gazes for them.

Thena immediately turned around, throwing her head in her hands on the kitchen counter. She pressed a scream of sorts into the back of her hand.

Teddiursa tumbled back, startled by the sudden outburst from his usually calm Mama. He turned over, petting her hair the way she pet his fur when he needed comforting. "Teddi?"

Thena didn't look up, only pointing to where she knew her Arceus forsaken pokemon was sitting on the couch (like a menace). "You don't deserve a luxury ball!"

"Gallade," he waved off, willing to accept any frustrations of hers if it meant not having to watch them dance around anymore.

I do wonder, do you have any tips on battling with mildly disabled pokemon. My partner in crime is a cinderace named Sage. She has cataracts (born with them) and as she has gotten older her eyesight has worsened. We have found ways to battle and work around the fact she is visually impaired. Such as audio only commands, using vibrations, and straight up physically guiding her when needed, but I'm curious on your thoughts. What about other disabilities?

You should perhaps consider getting a professional to look at your buddy, if the retina is still attached, Cataracts can be removed, and a new artificial lens put in their place, thoughif your buddy is quite old now, they'll need to relearn some stuff. Theres a bunch of other reasons to not go with surgery to correct that, and I assume you've had specialists look into it further, but just in case you haven't, heads up, that might be fixable? I don't know enough, i'm sure you've done your homework though. As for working with Disabilities, we literally handle those cases ALL the time. Half our job is taking in those mons, working with them as best as possible. People like to give up on them fast if they don't meet the bar, and normally all it takes is thinking a little different, and adapting. Missing legs on hitmonlee, arms gone on Bewear, wings shredded on flying types, tail fins missing on water types, all the physical things can either be helped with prosthetics, physio, and relentless training, or adjusting how the pokemon functions. We often make tailored training plans for those who need it, some use items to help with balance, with seeing when they've got less vision, for hearing when they can't. Visually impaired pokemon who want to battle often get fitted with audio pickups, so they get a heightened sense of hearing, to give them a better chance. If they're beaf entirely, we use ASL to interact a lot, teaching them, and our staff. Most of us know it now, newbies get the course as part of their training. Items are pretty custom here, we assess a patients needs and create based on that, and when i say "we" I mean Grey. He's found a great use for gauntlets of sorts, that the pokemon and trainer share, pressure points on the inside of them are shared between the pair, so a trainer can touch a certain point, that is mimicked on the pokemons set, letting it know commands even with its back to the trainer (because mid-battle its hard to keep both your opponent, and your trainer in sight). this helps the hard of hearing too, and the mechanics are adjustable. You can get super complex sets, or real simple ones, depending on the needs. A pretty incredible patient we've recently adopted out with its partner, was a Lombre, poor thing had damage to its spine, pretty bad, couldn't walk anymore. We did a few surgeries, got the back on their feet, but only JUST. It was pretty sad it couldn't dance anymore, really got it down. We couldn't fix the physical issues internally, but decided that perhaps if it had a dance partner? So we found a Grumpig, one who just couldn't sit still, and started to train the pokemon to help, not only with lessons on support and care, but some of the ore coordinated staff taught it to dance more, to use its energy for something fun, which it loved. With its psychic abilities, it could decompress the Lombre's spine when they stood, and gave it near enough full mobility. The two started physio together, started to dance again, and now a lovely young man has adopted them both, they moved to Unova not too long ago now, and both are very happy. I heard they started to teach others how to dance too, perhaps if the Lombre evolves one day it'll help the issue, but they seem happy, and have a good life back because of their buddy. Pokemon helping pokemon, all we did was facilitate it. Theres a bunch of needs we cater to, but the list is so big I literally could just go on and on, so i'll call it, but let me say, you've got a tough buddy, who might just benefit from a specialist item to help them fight to their fullest, if thats what they want. Consider coming in for a fitting, or a checkup on those cataracts if you've not done so yet.

- Dogan gave his Espurr a little version of his hat so they could match, as well as to protect it.

Lili has a Dratini. Idk I just think she deserves it. (Also I'm thinking abt her and Truman having an Arcanine as a family pet that Lili used to practice her pyrokinesis with when she was little)

- Augustus and Donatella both have Copperajah because I'm 99% sure Raz mentioned elephants in the first game

- Raz has an Abra he dresses up as a Pichu in hopes his family doesn't realize. They do know that it's an Abra, but he's already so attached, they can't just get rid of it! (Additional quote from Death: "he's a lil weird but I love my PICHU").

- We don't know what to give them yet but Sasha and Milla deserve POWERFUL Pokémon. (Specifically I think Milla should have something that is both strong and that you could feasibly imagine partying with her. Haven’t thought of anything that fits that criteria yet. And Sasha could have anything)

- Sam maybe has a Sharpedo or maybe a Dragalge. Just cause

- Cassie has a Vespiquen. Also she and Compton raise Combee!

- Helmut gets Chatot! The Chatot does NOT die or even "die," my thoughts are that they left their Pokémon at home when fighting Maligula

- Bob technically never caught a Pokémon but adopted a Bulbasaur who kept chilling with his plants, because it's nice to have a buddy around who can maybe also understand plants.

- Loboto is not allowed to have a Pokémon (except I just remembered he might have a goat do maybe he has a Gogoat... I will think about this) but also he stole a Type: Null from the Psychonauts when he left. Just, helped push it down the Otto B.O.N.

- Edgar has a Smeargle, maybe. Still thinking about this one.

- JT gets Ponyta. Because yes.

(These next few were written down later so sorry if they feel a little disjointed)

- Sam has somewhat befriended some of the nearby Pokémon, stuff like Deerling and Bunnelby and Gogoat.

- Linda, the "Hideous hulking Lanturn of Lake Oblangata" (idk if I spelled that right-) She was a normal Chinchou, but Loboto and Oleander mutated her and forced her evolution. (Hence why in the drawing she has the cross eyes and the legs)

- Additionally, those fish guys from RoR are like Magikarp. Maybe Feebas

- Helmut's Chatot just kinda lived in the Feel Mobile after Helmut "died" and it was obvious Bob wasn't going to listen to it.

- Norma and Lizzie have Alolan Vulpix and Vulpix respectively (playing into the whole "twins with opposite powers" thing, but like. Again)

- Kind of a general thing but psychic types are generally the most popular among Psychonauts, as most can follow people into minds.

- The Aquatos are also very against water types. For obvious reasons. What if one drowns them!?

- I think Frazie should have either a Pachirisu or an Emolga.. Nimble little guys that are fast enough to keep up with tricks.

- Mikhail has either an Ursaring or a Bewear or a Beartic. To wrestle, of course.

- Mr. Pokeylope is a Turtwig with a crown and boots.

- El Odio is like.. A Tauros. But like. A mental Tauros, built from Edgar's obsession and anger.

- Clem and Crystal have Oricorios! Specifically the electric ones with the pom-poms

- Coach Oleander eventually gets a Buneary. He deserves it

Alsooo I feel like These teams aren’t perfect so lmk if there’s any you’d change and why! I am very picky when I make Pokémon teams for characters bc I want them to be perfect and fit the character lol

so like I think abt this a lot and like I think abt hmmm do I wanna give them different types of Pokémon or should they all have one type (like Osomatsu being a fire type trainer) but hey I decided to just do whatever tf I want </33 unfortunately I am so biased with my picks bc I want to add my favorite Pokémon somehow but I tried to have it make sense for them.

Osomatsu:

Okay so like charizard because like duh best fire starter of course he gets a fucking charizard. Classic. Besides I hc he likes charizard anyways so it’s fine. Osomatsu strikes me as the kinda guy to like these sorta classic Pokémon mainly !

Next up is Gyrados (told y’all this a classic bitch). I’m feeling nice so I’ll give him that shiny ;D ! no this isn’t because his theme is red wdym… okay but seriously again I feel like he really digs gen 1 bitches that are op as fuck lol . mans has no patience so of course he would just catch a straight up gyrados rather than a magikarp and take the time to train it. He ain’t got time for that apparently 😎

Third is snorlax, this mf got some defense. Snorlax is so good in general so of course he wants snorlax on his team. He likes having a strong looking team that he doesn’t have to train for fucking ever for it to finally evolve as he doesn’t have the patience and thankfully it’s more common to find a snorlax than a munchlax.

To break the gen 1 theme I give you bewear, I think he’d love this Pokémon. I truly cannot give any good reason as to why. Bewear is badass and cuddly too, what’s not to love?

Fifth Pokémon is Alakazam. Another classic gen 1 Pokémon big surprise! Osomatsu really digs these op gen 1 bitches. This is the most patience he’s ever had with a Pokémon before and that’s the most you will get out of him.

And finally krookadile. I was torn at first with arcanine and krookadile but I don’t wanna give him another fire type and he fits the red theme so here. I think it suits Osomatsu well.

Karamatsu:

Squirtle is the starter. Case closed. They have matching shades. This is literally everything. Thank you.

Arcanine is a excellent fire type and I think Kara deserves it. Besides imagine how funny it’d be for Kara to constantly piss off this giant dog that just fucking flamethrowers his face constantly.

Karamatsu would totally have a lucario, hed try to go for Pokémon that are considered more cool and more powerful and I think lucario fits this well (lucario is lit in smash of course he’s cool)

Fourth is sceptile. I don’t have a reason for it other than “it looks cool and it would look good with karamatsu”

Fifth is rampardos. A strong and tough looking Pokémon that I can see being all sweet to karamatsu (which will make him cry) is a nice dynamic idk !

And finally scyther! Again, just mainly going for “old school” Pokémon that seem really tough and cool is kinda the theme I try to go for, for karamatsu and this Pokémon fits that pretty well I’d say!

Choromatsu:

Firstly, snivy. I was thinking abt a full blown serperior but I don’t want him to be op so he gets a snivy. Having a trouble making snivy as his partner I think would be a funny dynamic!

Second is another starter! Infernape! For some reason I feel like this Pokémon works with him pretty well?!

Third is gastrodon. (He gets the green and blue form). I will admit I am a little biased since gastrodon is one of my favorite Pokémon but hey! I think it works well, why not?

For some reason I think mimkyu works well for Choromatsu. Imagine him being scared shitless by this bitch when they first meet but they quickly warm up to eachother and become buddies !

Choromatsu has patience, which is why he gets flygon as his fifth Pokémon ! I absolutely adore this Pokémon and I think it works well for Choromatsu to have. In hindsight maybe I should’ve made flygon his partner Pokémon.. thinkzzzz

And finally and alolan muk! Idk why, but I feel like this Pokémon works well with Choromatsu in terms of colors and such but also I think Choromatsu would kinda love alola and would want a alola variant of a Pokémon so!

Ichimatsu:

His partner is of course gengar. I feel as though it’s the most fitting starter and it makes for a fun dynamic of having a silly gengar scare the shit outta ichi

His second Pokémon is incineroar. I could not pass up the opportunity to give him a cat Pokémon and this one is my favorite so of course <//3

Third Pokémon is empoleon! Such a tough and almost darkish looking Pokémon. Did you know that if you hurt this Pokémon’s pride, it will slash you with its wings that can cleave through an ice floe?

Fourth Pokémon is an emolga. Yes I hear your screams. Listen!! Emolga may not seem like a terrifying Pokémon, but imagine if it was? Imagine you had this flying Pokémon attatching itself to your face and electrocuting you and slowly killing you ;p

Fifth Pokémon is gothitelle! You cannot deny this Pokémon seems terrifying irl ! It fits his vibe ;D

And finally goodra. Ichimatsu certainly has the patience for a dragon type, and this one is pretty fitting. While it may not seem too scary, who knows what that droopy shit is coming off of it. Is it acid? If so… that makes this Pokémon pretty creepy.

Jyushimatsu:

I think an alolan Raichu as his first Pokémon fits him pretty well, so he gets this wonderful electric type! He would most certainly have a close bond with this Pokémon in particular.

The second Pokémon he gets would be a dewott ! Yea a dewott.. doesn’t evolve into samurotte.. hear me out okay I love dewott + it’s a pretty decent Pokémon + it’s really cute. I think it fits for jyushi!

Third Pokémon is lopunny. It’s cute, but it’s really strong too. And wouldn’t you say that applies to jyushi pretty well?

His fourth Pokémon is tyranitar. What can I say? This mf looks strong and scary as hell. Muscle muscle hustle hustle.

Fifth Pokémon to accompany him is a cute little tepig! It can be very strong when it wants to be too though >:(

And finally, staraptor. A strong flying type like this is one I firmly believed jyushi deserves and would have a good bond with !

Todomatsu:

The only one to get an eeveelution (cry:( ) and it’s his partner Pokémon! He gets a sylveon. Overall totty likes cute Pokémon, especially fairy types and this Pokémon fits well!

His second Pokémon is azumarill. A strong but cute water type that also happens to be part fairy;D

But he deserves a good electric type, so he gets a cutie like pachirisu. I think he would love to have this little guy by his side.

His fourth Pokémon, his fire type, is a cinderace. A strong fire type that also happens to be an adorable bunny?! Count him in

His fifth Pokémon happens to be an alolan ninetails. It fits his “cute” theme, as well as the fairy secondary typing ! Plus, an ice type is always good to have around right?

And his last Pokémon, cincinno. Fitting his cute Pokémon vibe, cincinno is one of my favorite Pokémon out there so I think this is pretty cute for him?!

Headcanons on KNB characters if they were trainers

For only the “Generation of Miracles” (plus Kagami), I wanted to show that they are prodigies in the pokémon universe by each giving them the appropriate specialty legendary/mythical pokémon respective to their anime counterpart abilities/personalities.

Also, as GoMs in the pokémon universe, I was careful to also choose some of their respective pokémon based on base stats and the consideration of type variety, unless a team had most pokémon sharing a type for a reason, in addition to already choosing pokémon based on their pokédex entries.

I have also given pictures of said pokémon suited to each KNB character below the cut.

Warning: spoilers on KNB characters, it’s a given

Kuroko Tetsuya 

his lack of presence would directly translate into the pokémon world pretty nicely and would make him pretty attuned to ghost pokémon floating about, but that won’t necessarily mean he’ll have a full team of ghosts

I feel like he would accidentally just pick up the mythical pokémon, Marshadow as a kid without knowing its reputation and would just let it follow him around like a buddy… and then they would become an official trainer-pokémon relationship later on // they’re both tiny and usually unnoticeable; they’d be best friends

he’d definitely have a Zoroark, since these pokémon require very strong bonds with their trainers, and they’re infamously known for their illusions and trickery; for Kuroko, he probably saw right through a Zorua’s (pre-evolution) tricks back in the day and then it became intrigued by him and joined him along the way before evolving into the Zoroark we see present day // this is a tribute to Nigou as well, since they’re both dog-like/fox?????

surprisingly, he’d have a Hatterene just trailing behind recently; Hatterenes hate extreme emotions emitted from humans and I’d feel like it would just be lured in by his dry personality

Hatterene’s color scheme is literally the same blue and pink like Kuroko and Momoi, so Hatterene is very much a Momoi who chases Kuroko around while he doesn’t mind it at all

his 4th pokémon, Vanilluxe, came to be when he spent hours hiding in the tall grass for a Vanillite (pre-evolution) to show up; he was willing to go out of his way to catch one because he wanted an ode to his love for vanilla milkshakes

all in all, he would be the trainer who is able to instantly connect and make friends with other pokémon around without even trying; ironically, he would have the most variety of typings in his team because of that

he’s the protagonist trainer who would always be the first to openly stand up against the villain teams and foiling their plans, but he would need the support of the other GoMs (cough) to take down the team bosses

he would definitely be friends with N (BEST franchise character)

he’s a “youngster” trainer like a “youngster joey” vibe KDJWORKWKW but like he’s pretty OP by the end of his journey

Kise Ryota

Cinderace with its hidden ability Libero is perfect for our blondie; Libero is an ability that allows the user to become that type of the move it just used until it uses a move of a different type, and then it’ll switch to that next type (I thought about Greninja with its Protean ability at first because it’s the OG ability and it's the exact effect just a diff name; but Cinderace’s design is a soccer motif and it reminded me of Kise in the old Teiko days)

Kise would very much be a renown model in the pokémon universe, and he’d idolize Elesa (from Pokémon B/W and B2/W2); both are blonde models too LOL (except she dyed her hair black in B2/W2)

so he’d have a Luxray (non shiny OR shiny, both suit him), because since he looks up to her so much and she’s an electric-type gym leader, he’d probably have an electric-type of his own

I would think he’d have a dragon-type pokémon like Haxorus to connect him with Aomine (a dragon-type trainer) since in the anime, Aomine was Kise’s mentor and role model in basketball; it would give him a fighting chance with Aomine if they ever faced each other in a pokémon battle

he would have a shiny Sylveon, and he would love to dote the ever living fuck out of it and feed it poképuffs (maybe from Murasakibara’s café LOL) and sing with it, and every time it sweeps someone’s team with its Moonblasts, he’ll cheer it on so much BDHWIRWI it also adds a certain connotation to his idol reputation as this “approachable guy” with his adorable Sylveon too

this guy has an idol status not just in the beauty/fashion industry, but also in the sports world (especially in Unova’s sports stadium in Nimbasa city)

he’d meet tons of other models and fashion icons like gym leader Nessa, champion Diantha, etc. WHEW JUST SAYIN

he would have his face plastered everywhere on trainer PR videos and even getting offers for some minor acting roles in Pokéstar Studios

one day, while he’d be at the studio, there was a whole commotion how the studio and the museum had their deliveries mixed up because the studio had the real meteorite while the museum had the well-made prop of a meteorite; and uh, it turns out this meteorite had the alien virus that pretty much had its DNA mutated into a Deoxys

long story short, being a very experienced trainer, Kise would manage to catch it after hours of chasing it in the wild areas nearby

over time, he and this particular Deoxys would come to have enough mutual respect for each other to be able to battle as a proper trainer-pokémon duo

that being said, he won’t resort to using it unless it’s life-threatening; note: he changes its Formes using a chunk from the meteorite in the studios he broke off (Deoxys [and its many forms] is further reference to his versatility as a basketball player)

Midorima Shintarou

as a man who seeks for good luck and fortunes he’d stack up on a Chimecho for sure and… 

Togekiss; he used to have its pre-evolution Togepi to solely to try to make it stand up while sleeping for good luck (according to the pokédex), and the more he kept trying, the more he made it attached to him and before he knew it, he had a fully evolved Togekiss // he’ll NEVER admit that he loves it to bits, though

this might be unexpected at first glance, but he’d have a Mega Absol; hear me out, it’s called the “disaster pokémon” according to its pokédex, however it is only named so because it warns others of disasters when it appears SO IT WOULD WARN MIDORIMA OF INCOMING BAD LUCK

he’d probably receive a Rowlet from Momoi as a gift from her laboratory, and he didn’t have the heart to abandon it; he’d evolve it to a Decidueye… and just… keep it (this pokémon is a reference to his no-miss shots)

ultimate good luck bringer: Ho-Oh ✨

would have the most “balanced” team out of everyone in terms of type-coverage (reference to him having the most coverage in skills for basketball, from shooting to absolute defense to having ball-handling skills)

he’d totally avoid Akashi’s Kadabra (pre-evolution of Alakazam)—who will be mentioned later down in the list—because it’s said to bring bad luck, as well as avoiding all the Ninetales because he doesn’t want to risk accidentally pulling off one of their tails and be cursed

he’ll avoid caverns as much as possible (but it’s impossible to avoid them all) because those are the habitats of Golbats (who will supposedly give bad luck if one bites you) but if there wasn’t a leeway for him, he will literally LATCH onto his Chimeco and keep his Togekiss and Absol out of their pokéballs to guard him LMAOOO

I would feel he would constantly strive to fill up his entire pokédex, so he’d be a pokémon master in training in a sense; he’s someone who wants to prepare himself for any situation and opportunity, so being a pokédex filler would always provide him an encyclopedia on potential pokémon to either stay away from or catch more of because of certain luck factors

make no mistake though, he’s a seasoned pokémon battler, don’t fuck with him

Aomine Daiki

an intimidating Garchomp would be his ace™️ pokémon, ummmm have you SEEN its base SPEED stat??? it’s a monster

we’re gonna go overkill and give this man a Mega Rayquaza just for the sole fact that he’d be the “ace” trainer of ALL ace trainers and veterans alike

however, because of his “lack of practice/training” like in the anime, he’d probably just stick with these two pokémon, since usually Garchomp already sweeps everyone’s teams without a sweat

homie is probably napping on top of one of the laboratory roofs (probably the one Momoi works in) or escaping to a nearby cliff or hill to relax and keep a lookout for any promising trainers that pass by him

is a trainer who pretty much kept one-shotting all the trainers throughout his journey in the region (aka that’s us protagonists when we play against NPCs)

he would also be that trainer who wiped the floor with the current champion so badly that he felt that all his “training” leading up to that moment didn’t even feel rewarding (plus there’s those countless trainer battles before where it didn’t feel thrilling), and so, he just left the league after, waiting for the day a sufficient rival could show up in his life

Murasakibara Atsushi

he’d have a Bewear, Appletun, and lots of variants of Alcremie’s just hanging around him

note: you should search up all the variations of Alcremies yourself, hint cough, it’s 60 variations total

maybe he’d have a Snorlax chilling nearby because it’s so huge

Murasakibara would be a Pokécafé owner AND HE’D HAVE HIS BULKY BEWEAR AND HIS SNORLAX GUARD THE SHOP, YOU CAN’T ARGUE WITH ME 

or he would UNLEASH his G-MAX forms of Alcremie’s

and he’ll just use his pokémon to make the tastiest poffins, poképuffs, and pokécurry

he’ll never bring out his final pokémon, Melmetal, unless it’s an absolute emergency and his shop is in danger

he would love Kuroko’s Vanilluxe, in a sense where he would always impassively joke about eating the ice-cream pokémon and Kuroko would just constantly hope he’s not being for real

he wouldn’t be motivated by ambitions like other trainers would have, he just wants to chill and loaf around all day; if someone pissed him off about he was a “weak” trainer or how they were becoming overly cocky when talking about their goals, he’d be right there smiling and ready to annihilate them | (• ◡•)|

Akashi Seijuro

Espeon would totally fit him as his first pokémon; its eyes are very reminiscent of his feline irises, and it’s tiny in size but a very powerful sweeper when set up right AND THEY’re ~calm~ while being capable of either sweet or very calculating later on / LIKE PET, LIKE OWNER

Tsareena; this one has a literal attitude of a queen and its pokédex is pretty terrifying in which one kick from its legs “leaves a wound in the opponent's body and soul that will never heal”... sound familiar?

Nidoking, cough I wonder why I picked this guy he’s a king, but jokes aside, it’s here to add more type variety to his team, and it’s mostly there to be a status inflictor (aka poisoning) and hazard setter with traps for his opponents… sound familiar with how he initiates his shogi strategies?

Mega Alakazam. that’s it. this pokémon has 5000 IQ like ?? would totally wipe the floor with Akashi in shogi if it tried

you thought Aomine had an overkill legendary, but Akashi has Hoopa, who’s capable of a Confined form and Unbound form, representative of his two contrasting personalities 

he’s an ambitious trainer aiming to become a Pokémon Master, and he’s one of those feared prodigies that all the region champions just lowkey sweat hearing about him coming to wreck their leagues apart

his pokédex would be damn near completed

he looks more into a pokémon’s utility and how it can fit into his strategies; it just turns out that most of the capable/eligible pokémon he ends up picking are psychic-types because they all tend to have extremely high intelligence to pull them off

Momoi Satsuki

Mega Altaria fits Momoi’s aesthetic of being cute, but very dangerous if you underestimate it, and I wanted a cute connection to Aomine who I primarily headcanoned to be a dragon-type trainer, so Altaria is a dragon-type pokemon that I picked out (perfect alternative would be Mega Gardevoir if she never met Aomine)

Blissey is a pokemon that brings happiness to anyone that eats their eggs, and it very much fits Momoi’s personality

Tapu Lele is a totem pokemon that has incredible knowledge, and is known to be able to outsmart any opponent during battle, referencing her pre-cognitive defense research abilities

she would definitely be constantly mistaken as a pokémon “Beauty” (yes that’s a trainer title), but in actuality, she’s training to become a pokémon professor as an assistant 

Momoi’s “professor specialty” would definitely be her researching about a pokémon’s current stats (plus their EVs and IVs) and would pinpoint their level of potential and thus, predict their growth (and the steps taken for a certain type of growth) // she’d probably become really famous in the world of competitive battling because a lot of trainers would try to approach her to help “train their teams”

Kagami Taiga

I think he would ironically have a Lopunny because it used to be Alex’s but she just left it in his care and now he has this prankster bunny that’s basically an Alex 2.0 to other pokémon in its vicinity ?? but it has hops like Kagami so

a hotheaded, short-tempered guy like Kagami would have an Incineroar (they… kinda look the same) 

Krookodile would be very much up his alley… its offensive stats are also not something to take lightly, especially when paired with moves like Earthquake and Foul Play

Kommo-o would be a pokémon that embodies Kagami’s personality very well: it seeks to battle only strong opponents for the reason to defeat the “darkness,” and its presence is more than enough to scare the weaker opponents away; Kagami has been mentioned as the “light” many times throughout the series, and his piercing gaze on the courts generate suffocating pressure on the opposing teams // it’s also a pseudo-legendary pokémon on the same base-stat caliber as Aomine’s Garchomp (hinting at their game against each other) ( ᐛ )

last one I’d find really amusing to give for Kagami would be Victini, the adorable mythical pokémon said to bring only victories for its trainer… and it’s a reference to his ascendance to the top of the Winter Cup after defeating all the GoM’s teams

oh yeah, I forgot Mega Lopunny existed so I’ll just attached that right below

anywho, so he’s a rising pokémon trainer who wants to become a pokémon master… but only for the battling part LOL like he doesn’t believe in “catching ‘em all” so to speak because he’d be someone who would believe in winning battles with the pokémon you truly bonded with; in other words, he’d probably only catch new pokémon if he feels a certain connection with them

but because of that, he doesn’t have much info on other pokémon besides his own, and it bites him in the ass when he has to try to figure out ways to take down opposing teams

reluctantly would team up with Kuroko after finding out many of the competitions require double battling but he doesn’t have a single strategy for it, and then Kuroko would pop out of nowhere and offered a hand to be his double battle partner until he learned how to double-battle on his own

spoiler alert, they totally start becoming travel companions in exploring the world together

of course Kagami would have battle strategies, but he isn’t like Akashi where he would actively look for the appropriate strong pokémon for his strategies; he makes strategies to accommodate his existing team

Kiyoshi Teppei

HE HAS A LUCARIO, NOT ONLY THAT A MEGA LUCARIO; they both seek for justice and they’re extremely loyal, and they both are able to read their opponents very easily 

HE ISN’T CALLED THE “IRON HEART” FOR NOTHING, I CAN SEE HIM WITH A SHINY METAGROSS JUST BEING AN OFFENSIVE TANK YET BEING ABLE TO SWEEP, JUST LIKE AN ACE WOULD

he would live a double life: a shopkeeper of his grandparents’ pokémon item/antique store by day, pokémon ranger and patroller by night

he would keep his local area safe (ง'̀-'́)ง

yes, I only see him as a steel-type trainer

he’d be so precious with his pokémon and meticulous in his care for them: he’d probably shine his Metagross everyday or brush out his Lucario’s fur, just because !!

and his pokémon would be fiercely protective of Teppei in return, mostly because they noticed he has bad knees and they don’t want him to strain them any further(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

Hanamiya Makoto

no debate, he’d have a shiny Hydreigon… dude that pokémon is an absolute nightmare to level up and evolve, let alone tame, but back when it debuted in Pokémon B/W, it was the most OP pokémon out there // shiny variant of it because it has a similar color scheme to the Kirisaki Daiichi basketball team, and he’d probably have a shiny version just to flaunt it off and piss people off

Salazzle with a hidden ability Corruption, where it allows it to poison any pokémon regardless of type or ability; again, it’s to piss the trainers off in battle

and finally, a Dracovish; a person like him would totally have this inherently fucked up pokémon just for the sole purpose to disturb the hell out of his opponent trainers, but make no mistake: it’s an underdog sweeper 

look, he’s an admin of some sinister villain team and he has his other Kirisaki Daiichi starter players as his personalized grunts (they’re like a specific sect of the villain team; e.g. Shadow Triad or the Seven Sages of Team Plasma)

you might wonder, why don’t I give him a “spider” pokémon, since the webs are the analogy used to compare to his strategies in basketball? too many villains have Ariados in their teams and Galvantula is a friendly, fuzzy tarantula soooo it wouldn’t fit Hanamiya at all

I don’t think he would have any deep motive to be villainous other than to just enjoy people getting fucked over by his own deeds and actions; sometimes, it isn’t so deep

“it’s your boy, Guzma Hanamiya” if you get this reference I love you

They all pause seeing the cast, and suddenly bounce around concerned. “Give him some room, you loonies,” calls out the frustrated voice of the Mimikyu, as they push towards Nick. “Hey! Was just going to drop off these,” They put a bag of Honey cookies on the bed edge, “What happened to the leg?”

* N popped out of Nick’s tail, happy to see his unown friends.

(N) *rhythmic beeping and tweeting that sounded like just that to Nick. To the other Unowns however, they heard this*

* Nick waved to Mimikyu and accepted the cookies graciously.

(Nick) Thank you  Heh, when was it the last time we talked? If I ain’t stopped up with a cold i’ve gone and busted my own leg and collarbone. I ain’t very lucky, am I? Heheh. Yeah I got mauled by a Bewear. My friend here happened to save my tail though. Shows me for trying to train in the depths of the wild area.

like eevee or altaria or drampa or gardevoir or dragonite or bewear or mew

and every starter i’ve ever used (mudkip, chespin, popplio, sobble) is also a favorite! they’re my buddies and pals and best friends :)

Chimchar puffs out his cheeks with great focus, determined to impress his new trainer as they begin their journey across Sinnoh together. With Barry half-jogging ahead of him, the young monkey pauses, taking a moment to mentally channel every ounce of fire from his belly up into his throat...it’s heating up, it’s working...!

Buuuurp!

Chimchar’s little “outburst” rocks Route 202, and Barry turns around with surprise, quickly becoming awed by the respectable cloud of smoke swirling around his mortified partner. The scolding that Chimchar expects never comes. Instead, with the help of Barry-branded encouragement, enthusiasm, and practice, the (slightly singed) pair enters Jubilife City hours later with serious amounts of swagger, Chimchar proudly huffing out cute little wisps of flame as they stroll together.

The duo’s pursuit of fire mastery comes to an abrupt end days later, deep in the confines of Eterna Forest. With a single badge now shining proudly on his scarf, Barry commands Monferno to put some poor Bug Catcher out of his battling misery. Eager to show his strength, the rebellious monkey lets loose an overpowering, wild jet of flame. For a moment, Monferno can appreciate the beauty of his created fire--with its orange, rippling hues--before Barry’s alarmed cry snaps him out of his reverie: Stop!

So Monferno stops. And when he does, he’s finally forced to reckon with what he’s done.

The Bug Catcher’s Silcoon is fainted and then some, but Monferno’s damage extends well past the current battle. The Bug Catcher gapes wordlessly at the scorched hole in his net, the towering tree trunks surrounding the impromptu battlefield are flame-scarred, and some of their blackened branches fall to earth from above, placing further emphasis on the destruction. Monferno glances back at Barry--who is looking sadly at his singed scarf and charred Badge--and right then and there, the Fire Pokemon decides to make a pledge to himself. 

Whatever’s happened here...I’ll make sure it never happens again.

“You’re wasting my time now--why is your Pokemon still holding back?” Byron barks as his Bastiodon weathers yet another Mach Punch from Barry’s resilient Infernape. As the Shield Pokemon tosses his partner back with a powerful Take Down, Barry--for once--has no answers. He’s tried everything: a Flamethrower TM, firebreathing lessons on the PC, and even a steady diet of super-spicy Tomato Berries. And despite Barry’s best efforts, even on his third attempt for the Mine Badge, Infernape still isn’t fully utilizing his fiery gifts. Taking a deep breath as the Flame Pokemon narrowly avoids another Take Down, the blond tries one last gambit.

“I know you’re scared!” Barry yells, causing his partner to flinch with surprise. “When you started using fire, I was scared too--but wow, I gotta say that I was more impressed than anything! You’ve got a gift, and we can learn to control it--but we’ve gotta start somewhere! Why not here in the Gym, where we’re completely safe and fighting for a shot at the Pokemon League? I know you wanna win as much as I do!”

Barry’s expression and tone softens as Infernape casts a long glance back at him. Bastiodon paws the ground like a prehistoric Tauros, readying for the finishing blow...

“We can work together on your control--remember back on Route 202, when you were blowing smoke?” Barry reminisces with a smile, his hazel eyes still hard with determination. “But for right now, I need you to give it your all and just...let it rip, okay buddy? You got this...I know you have it in you!”

Bastiodon charges, and it’s Infernape’s turn to take a deep breath, long lost fire swirling within him once again. The fire mixes and burns with internalized feelings of guilt, shame, and frustration...and when the monkey finally releases his pent-up Flamethrower--he seems to erupt. 

Barry and Byron are both blown back by a sudden gust of hot air as Infernape releases a wave of golden flames onto the battlefield, causing the sandy battlefield to crack and glow. Bastiodon never finishes its attack--it never stood a chance, really--and the battle ends right there. In the aftermath, Infernape stands in place numbly, chest heaving as Barry crushes him in his usual Bewear-esque celebratory hug. Instead of trees burning, Byron’s clapping from across the field, offering the monkey a subtle nod of encouragement. Instead of charring Barry’s first Badge, Infernape’s fire is directly responsible for earning Barry’s sixth Badge. Only two more to go.

As Barry continues to whoop it up to Dawn, Lucas, and anybody who would listen over his new Poketch Phone app, Infernape takes a moment to fixate on the smoldering battlefield before him. His scattered fires are beginning to burn away in the sand, kicking sparks skyward in their final moments.

The Pokemon takes another deep breath and clenches his fists. He can feel his own troubles, worries, and guilt burning away with the flames. Just a few moments earlier, Barry unknowingly provided him with a spark, a release, a moment of searing clarity.

And now, Infernape finally feels ready to rise.
