[ 🌱 ] oh yes definitely, unfortunately she works out every morning and never misses arm day. so when she playfully punches your shoulder it hurts. the only thing is, though, she's very selective when she treats people this way-- she doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. she doesn't mean anything by it, though! she's just happy to be here.

Went to TSC because I saw in the local group there was a singular chick, all alone in a brooder, with pasty butt. Luckily it looks like someone bought her but there was this buff orp in a brooder full of straight run barred rocks (barred rocks are big bullies) and her eyes wouldn’t open. Thankfully the associate let me buy just one chick (I have a broody hen who is mother of the year two years running) and it looks like she was just being picked on a bit, she’s not blind, and she’s very active and happy

As a child, Dest was a real walking misfortune. Especially when he went outside. Rain, strong wind, scorching sun - any change in the weather, and you spend all day collecting him around the neighborhood with brushes and rags.

For someone who consists almost of "dust", weather becomes an arch nemesis in the first few years of life. Which it needs to be able to overcome in order to continue pretending to be a "complex living organism".

+ Some sketches with Varna - emotions and posing "without an upper uniform". Although, we can assume that these are more "search sketches of her physique". I definitely want her to be buffer than Hastur, but make her jacked and/or curvy… Idn. I haven’t decided yet.

PS - Also most of the poses (which I, naturally, draw from people) are poorly applied to my bats, so I’ll continue to train to correct that. QwQ

Finally got back around to redrawing this :] and lord look at that improvement! I used to struggle HARD with wings lol. Pink bg is from today (Jan 27 2024) yellow bg is from Dec 2020 and brown bg is from June 2020.

Recently I’ve been leaning less towards buff butch RD and more towards Scrawny, athletic, hey mamas Adam Sandler butch RD. I didn’t quite intend for it to be so pink and cutesy but yk that’s just how I roll :3 anyways, enjoy!

One thing that relistening to Amnesty hit me with is that Griffins first words to describe Mama are “a large woman, this imposing figure” (and I think goes on to mention that she has pretty big hands?). It reminds me of Justin’s description of Amber, as being inspired by the kind of Appalachian woman who could get hit by a truck and come away unscathed.

And I forget that every time, because it’s honestly not really a trait that gets brought up again ever, but also because half of the fan art of her makes her skinny and small. I feel like I can’t make too spicy a commentary on that without thinking it out more, but man the erasure of largeness and space-taking for female characters and the default assumption of the opposite features.

Yasha smiled as her hands sank into the dirt, pulling the weeds from her flower bed. It wasn’t the weeds she was amused with, however. Her wife and their child had been having a water gun fight in the backyard while they worked, their dog yapping as they ran around and rolled in the grass. But they had suddenly gone quiet. Too quiet, and though Yasha’s perception was low even at the best of times, she always seemed in tune with the ebb and flow of her family.

And right now, her family thought they were about to get the drop on her.

Cute.

So Yasha kept working, pulling weeds and managing her flower bed until she heard a soft giggle from her child and barely contained snort from her wife. She casually put her trowel aside and reached for the water hose instead. When she heard them approach her, she quickly turned on her knees and smirked, hose raised and aimed.

“Oh shit,” Beau remarked as Yasha leapt to her feet. She turned and snatched up Cricket, quickly beating feet, Dash dashing alongside her.

With a roar, Yasha gave chase. She heard both Beau and Cricket  give wild laughs as she pulled the trigger on the nozzle, spraying them both with water. Cricket squealed before listing their overly large water gun. They gave it two good pumps before attempting to spray Yasha. Sadly their water gun was no match for the water hose, and didn’t even come close to hitting Yasha.

But Yasha hit them both with her own ‘weapon,’ spraying them head to toe with water. She even managed to get Dash as well.

“Uncle, uncle!” Beau squealed, a cold zing shooting up her spine. “Staaahp!”

Yasha laughed and kept the hose on them, giggling herself. She eventually stopped the chase when the hose ran out of length. Yasha kept the nozzle pointed however, keeping it pointed at Beau and Cricket, who were now circling her.

Before they could attack her though, she tackled Beau to the ground, fighting for the water gun. Cricket ran around them, spraying them both as Yasha and Beau fought to get the upper hand on each other, Dash barking and bouncing around the three of them.

Cricket moved in and Yasha snatched them around the waist, pulling them close and kissing them all over their freckled face.

“Oh, gross,” the half-orc child cried out. “Mom, stop!!”

“Never,” Yasha said with a wide grin, though she did as they asked. She sat astride Beau’s hips, holding their child while Beau panted beneath her. When Yasha finally set Cricket down, they smiled at her before spraying Beau in the face with their water gun and running off, laughing wild again.

“You little shit,” Beau exclaimed, wiggling out from beneath Yasha. She picked up her own gun and began pumping it, taking aim at Cricket. “Traitor!”

Yasha fell into the grass with a buff, laughing as she listened to her wife and child torment each other. Dash decided he’d had enough and laid beside Yasha, having picked up his favorite tennis ball.

He laid with Yasha as she continued to smile up at the warm summer sky, his tail wagging with happiness as Yasha gently scratched his back.
