Starting work on her outfit tomorrow. Head is a Smart Doll chaos Vision that has had a 3rd eye open modded. I really like the look of the Prophecy head, but most of the time, when a seer is depicted with the 3rd eye open, the other two are closed, so I thought this head would be perfect for that. I painted her and thought, why not, I printed her a body with four arms. :)

Okay, dollblr, I need your help

My friend's doll collection was stolen on May 19th by his shitty landlord. Charges have been filed, but the landlord and the moving company he used to transport the dolls and other stolen property have been uncooperative in giving the information needed to trace and recover the dolls.

I'm asking that this post be shared as far and wide as possible so he has some hope of getting his most beloved and distinctive dolls back.

If anyone sees a massive dump of Ringdolls and Dollfie Dreams on Mercari, eBay, or Facebook, especially in/around/from the Louisville, KY area, please contact me so I can let him know.

I will update as we assess the full extent of the loss, but the dolls we're asking people to keep an eye out for at the moment are

Ringdoll K fullset edition with attached hair, NS. No outfit. Distinctive features: One magnet fell out and was put back in back upside down, so his headcap doesn't stay closed.

DIM Minimee Ruki head, NS. Distinctive features: Vampire mod.

Custom House Mina (both Saint Mina and LE Sad Mina), NS

Ringdoll Quiz, GS, fullset

Bobobie Pixie. Distinctive features: sky blue skin that yellowed to a minty color. Probably wearing green pajamas with brown airplanes made by me.

ResinSoul Yao, WS. His first doll, probably yellowed a fair bit by now. Distinctive features: a small chip on one of her horns.

DIM Minimee heads of all Gazette and Dir En Grey members. If these turn up as a lot, contact us, it's probably them.

3D printed anime robot body, printed, painted by me, Smart Doll Chaos cocoa blank head also painted by me, I think I used Justice as a model since it’s the same mold. I printed a few pieces in silver and added battle damage to make it look like she’s been through some active fights. I made some critical edits to the files as well, so she’s very stable.

BJD End of Year 2020 tag!! Fashionably late as always, but hey 🤷 All sculpts and a short questionnaire under the cut.

1. End of year doll family photo: shown above!  In the photo we have... my 3 msds in the back row, from left to right: Void-Hime (Loongsoul Wanwan), STARCHASER (green Doll Chateau Bella) and Yellow Jacket, my partner’s muscular Model Delf LUTSDOLL body waiting on his head to arrive. The next line starting from the far left is my still-around 21cm obtisu Hye-Rin (Nano Haruka) and 36cm Pisces (Doll Chateau Wanda). The rest are YOSDs! Pyxis (green Gem of Doll Cia), Mana (Dollzone Niuniu, who I need to dye), Olivia (Dollzone Candice, so nice to see her together ;_; ), Unnamed (Bobobie Isabella on a DZ youth body), and Cecilia (Doll Family A Bibi on a Littlefee body). Last row is all my bitties and floating heads! Skipping hye-rin, we have a triad of LUTS tiny delfs: Cassidy (Jack), Luna (Mytyl, she’s a Tiny20), and Pollyanna (Tyltyl). Then curled up next to her is March, my Dollzone Ivy, and Nova, my Pukipuki Cupid3. Last but not least are my two floating heads who are waiting on bodies this year- Naelia, Doll in Mind Laia (dreaming/half closed eyes) and Honeybee, my Unoa Sist Bully with a buffdolls headback. 

2. How many dolls did I buy this year? I acquired 5 dolls, one head, and one body. Isabella's new body + Pyxis (October), Olivia's new shell (June), Luna (May), Honeybee's head (April), Mana (march), and Nova (January).

3. Tell us the best thing that happened to you in the doll hobby this year. Despite how messy 2020 was I still managed to score two grails (Nova and Honeybee) within months of each other. That was a little stressing, but also delightful?? +//_//+;;

4. Tell us the worst thing that happened to you in the doll hobby this year. The earthquake in April really freaked me out and now I have a hard time deciding where to display my dolls.. or anything fragile for that matter. 😰 The only other thing I could think of is managing money when sudden releases/sales/discontinuations happen, that’s always a drag no matter the year //laughs

5. Show us your three favorite things you got this year.  pyxis’ silver sneakers, chases’ iridescent jacket (and the silver one they’re wearing tbh), and the cutest halloween skirt for mana.

6. What is your new year’s resolution? I’ll make a whole separate post for this, but the gist of it would be... to continue finishing everyone’s main looks, defeat the wig monster, give bodies to the headless, and layaway the last few wishlist dolls as soon as I am able. So I didn't end up dying the BJD I was wanting to dye when I visited my dad because I didn't have enough time to properly clean it, but now that my city has enforced a stay-at-home ordinance, I figured it was finally time to take this project on.

This is the doll I'll be dying, a hybrid Doll Leaves MSD boy body with an Unoa Headplate and an @buffdolls headback.

I have him soaking in some warm Dawn water right now and once he soaks for a bit I'm going to go at him with a magic eraser. Then it will be a warm water soak, and a second go with another magic eraser.

I forgot hotplates existed until this week, so I picked one of those up during my last grocery run so I could do this outside and won't have to stink up the apartment. Plus I can enjoy some of the beautiful weather (albeit with tons of pollen of course), but I'll be using a respirator so that should help a little bit.

I'm planning for a pinky/purple color, so we will see how that goes.

I went through all the SD clothes I'd completely forgotten about and pulled out this green dress I made a few years ago! So I put it on Lime Punch dyed Limhwa for now, but I'm not sure I like the style/length anymore.

When the Unoa Rowan Prim faceplate gets here, I'm going to try it on a Buff headback for Unoa Zero. I asked Buff if it fit and they were not sure, but said they would mod it to fit for free if I sent the faceplate to them. Holy crap! @buffdolls is awesome!!

On the other hand, the faceplate seller is in Switzerland and I haven't even gotten a ship notification yet, so seems it will be a while. 😅 Which is a bummer because I both reeeeally want to see that face in person, and reeeeally want to get Lime Punch body uh ... headed.

So anyway once the head is put together and greenified and faceup figured out, then maybe I can decide on a clothing style. :)

Currently, she's a Rasendo ELF head on a Volks SD10 girl body (very likely the original version.)

But... whaaaaaaaat iiiiiiiiiiiif... PLAYER ONE?

I have a Player One head. It is delightfully smirky. This is appropriate for Saskiya.

But I'd need a new body. The resin match is non-existent. But what body? I am le Broke. And no one really seems to be looking for the older SD10 girl body. And I don't actually want to let go of the Rasendo ELF head.
