New Bug Fix

Ride/Trot/Canter Here Fix When i travelled to another Neighborhood with my Horse and used "Canter here" it was just walking slowly like with the Ride here Interaction. Same happened when i used the Trot here Interaction. So it seems like all three Ride/Trot/Canter Here use a random walkstyle instead of the one it is supposed to use. This Mod fixes that.

Bug Fixes

Moderation Improvements - Fixed a couple of bugs present in the moderation flag appeal process.

Account Settings Fix - Fixed an error that locked users out of accounts after trying to save an avatar with an image that is 5 megabytes or higher. We also improved error handling for avatar uploading.

Deleted Communities - Fixed a bug where the names of deleted Communities were not available to be reused.

Posts Not Appearing in Communities - Fixed a bug where posts submitted to Communities with post screening enabled were not visible in the screening queue.

Queue & Scheduling Fixes - Fixed erroneous notifications for queued reblogs.

Other

We also made a minor revision to our Terms of Service to provide better clarity on prohibited content regarding suggestive images, photography, and art of real minor

NEW UPDATE IS OUT

NEW UPDATE IS LIVE

It’s the holiday season~

So my gift to you all is a new update of 17k new words and some tweaks that were recommended/asked for.

Chapter 4 Part 3 is now out as you and the MCT go to investigate your new lead.

A segue has been implemented in order to make the F to C conversion part of Ryder’s conversation sound less weird.

You can now choose to only interact with one person on the train

You can now choose to simply sit by yourself on the train and not approach anyone (Alvarez will still come up and approach you though).

Multiple Pronoun Errors in Chapter 1 were fixed

The text box investigation section of Chapter 4 at the victim’s house is now not case sensitive. This means you can type in “Bed Frame”, “Bed frame”, or “bed frame” and they will all be right. However, “bed Frame” and “bEd FrAmE” still won’t work, and I will never make them work, you little chaos gremlins.

So, as you can see, I’ve been a little busy since school ended. 17k honestly doesn’t feel like all that much in comparison to some of the other chapters, but then I have to remind myself, those chapters had literally four different scenes that were all completely different that needed to feel similar in length to one another. So, I’ll give myself a bit of a break.

For those of you that have been waiting to get into some action, you won’t have to wait too much longer. Next Chapter is certainly going to be your chance to show off what you’ve got in a high intensive situation in the field. Thanks everyone for sticking with it for this long, and I hope you continue to stick with it, and I hope you enjoy the newest addition to the story!

I keep getting reports that Cy reacts as if you're soulmates even when you pick the best friend option, but I need screenshots of the exact places it happens.

I've scoured the code but can't spot the issue and not knowing the exact place is making things all the more difficult 🥲

If any of you have come across this, can I get a screenshot plz? And maybe which was the last choice you picked before the issue?

"More Dangerous Fire" fix

A while ago, someone that was using my More Dangerous Burglars mod reported an Invalid Constant error whenever a burglar laid a fire and a Sim that had learned Fire Safety was awake.

I was initially stumped by this, but it turned out that the popular mod "More Dangerous Fire" was the culprit. The mod's creator did not own the Apartment Life EP at the time of the mod's creation, and never updated it either. It just so happened that Apartment Life touched the constant table that this mod changed and added one extra value that handled the Fire Safety life skill. Since the mod, which was made with a FreeTime game, overwrote the table, the game was unable to locate the constant when it needed it, and threw the error.

No more! I have added the missing value to More Dangerous Fire. Now, there should be no more errors, and Fire Safety-capable Sims will be able to play hero in the face of the increased danger.

While I had already uploaded my fix to MTS long ago, it did not really catch much attention since it's hidden away in a comments section, so I decided I would increase the range a bit. Over 14,000 people downloaded this mod, after all!

The ZIP file includes both versions of MDF: - More Dangerous Fire, which makes fires worse but just barely manageable by Sims if they're not acting like dumbnuts; and - Even More Dangerous Fire, which pretty much dooms your household if a fire breaks out. Replace the original mod with your version of choice.

All credits for the original idea and work go to simmodder at Leefish!

Hi! Loving Merry Crisis so far! I am having an issue with an error code that happens if you choose to go home with Shay after meeting the band. I am running into error messages when choosing to cuddle as well as following the 18+ option. Thanks heaps for all your work.

Ah!! So sorry, Shay cuddles / sexual intimacy broke the game xD (Must be MC's mom doing something to sabotage).

Hi! I was playing through CT:OS again (something happened and all my saves got erased, boo) and noticed a mistake in the part with the test! I got the highest score in the class (85), but on the next page I get sent to the dialogue you get if you missed out on the highest score by 1

HMM weird. I assume you got this passage:

Your gut feel had been right. You'd absolutely decimated the test, and then some. You'd scored a whopping 85 out of 100 for the test. There's even a red smiley face on the front page. You can't quite imagine Prof. Sackler, the surly bald man, drawing smiley faces, but there it is—displayed proudly on the front page of your test paper.

After which, you should you get this passage at lunch:

$!{G_name} is the other person who'd scored an 85 on the surprise test. When Addie learns that you and $!{G_name} had topped the class with your scores, she screeches, and advances towards the both of you, looking downright homicidal.

I've just gone in to edit it, so let me know if you still don't get the sequence laid out above! :)

... and as it turns out I had... on all but one passage. Oh well, if that's the worst problem I have on launch I'm happy, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

This should be fixed and updated now :)

Bug Fixes

Infinite Posts in Communities -  Fixed a bug where the last post in a Community repeated infinitely. 

Drafts Tagging - Fixed a bug where posts that were published from Drafts wouldn’t show up in the tag search results despite being tagged. This change will also retroactively fix posts that were affected by this bug since the release of the Drafts feature, though it may take some time for these changes to populate. Please wait a few hours before checking if your published posts that were not previously showing up in tags have been fixed.

Gaps in Home Feed - Fixed a bug causing temporal gaps in the home feed when loading more posts. This also fixes an issue where some posts would display twice in the home feed.

Dark Mode Drafts Improvements - Fixed a bug that caused the site’s dark theme to fail to display properly when viewing the Drafts index page.

Community Index Fixes - We improved the efficiency of Community browsing, so searching for communities via the Community index should now be faster. We also altered the search so that it no longer sends a data request if no search term has been entered and the search sorting method is set to “Relevance”.

Minor Update 7/20/23 - Made some edits and bugfixes. The biggest was a missing variable that prevented Echebar from joining you and N on the tour in chapter four, but it's fixed now.

Not sure anyone toured with Ech in the first place, though. 😅 Is his character annoying? Or do y'all just prefer some alone time with N? 👀
