bluestar gets too much hate. she was very obviously going through depressive episodes and ptsd. I personally head canon that the bugsnacks transform you into snacks from the inside out.

the limb transformation is visible, but the insides would slowly transform into snack matter and then you'd get all mushy until all that's left is skin (and sometimes bones)

And then the snack matter would mix with the soil and incubate for a while, which then lead to new bugsnacks crawling out of the ground all mushy.

Dunno if that contradicts any actual canon bugsnacks nature or not but yeah.

I was gonna have @skooblesleepymaw name the first one/ add his quote on it (since its his favorite Gatorade flavor [lemon lime]), but he never seem to respond. either that or I lost the messages somehow. luckily, i found a name that i think suits it. everything you need to know about it is there.

as for the second bugsnak, i was thinking of making a chicken nugget/strips bugsnack. then i thought "why not make them the limbs of a bunger" and I did. it is basically a tiny bunger, and its adorable.
