#so this building used to be in the overgrown woods and also fenced off #but i happened to bike by the day everything was being cleared out and the backhoe was down at the other end #and there were no distinct keep out signs #so i indulged the rabid desire to go in which i've been cultivating every since i laid eyes on the thing #as much as the call of adventure was calling me to the upper floors the stairs did look kinda dodgy #and it was in full view of the busy bike path #i did not want to end up in the news as Trespassing Foreigner Fined For Violating Public Safety #taiwan #taipei #does this count as #urbex #ruins #abandoned #abandoned building

every canon fact about Kamal is extremely fucking funny to me. he's the world's most normal man. he's a dental hygienist who likes mecha anime and biking and bunnies and indie folk rock and he now has a boyfriend who is maybe a cryptid and a daughter who can and Will punch things for fun. this is the funniest man I've ever seen and by god I cannot resist making things Happen to him.

But it's all made up and I'm sorry to burst your bubble. What do you think the whole tough guy thing is? I put makeup on for a living, brother. That's all. That's what I do. But it's not an act. It's a perception that somebody writes and then the next person goes on top of that and goes on top of that. You know, I'm in no way, shape or form like an angry person, you know, but if you do my job. And you don't get irritated by certain points of it, right? There's something wrong with you.

#russell crowe #quotes #russellcroweedit #crowedit #croweedit #gilles gifs #if you do not want my cringe analysing then do not read further yadda yadda #but there are a couple things to note here #i think the most important one is his body language #he invited this interviewer to his farm and his safe space and they seemed to have a lot of fun #but nothing really cut deep at first #it was mostly just talking about projects and the farm and goofing off on the quad bikes #and then towards the end they end up discussing more serious matters #i do not know how it is cut but this subject seems to be dropped a bit out of nowhere #and russell is REALLY obviously not comfortable with the subject #he builds up walls & he's dismissive in his answer & trying to deflect and not feed the interviewer too much at first #his 'you do do you?' is really like a laughing scoff that in a way tells the interviewer Okay Do Not Go Here #and then during his reaction to the image of hollywoods bad boy and the image being overblown #he slowly eases a bit #first of all because the interviewer allows him to explain himself and share his thoughts without too much judgement #which helps a lot as russell deals Really Poorly with people who have their judgements ready #and i think he was afraid of that #so he starts off a bit colder with the 'here's the thing mate'#but then he removes his sunglasses and he seems a bit more... thoughtful #and imho saying Everyone Else Is Wrong etc is still a bit... a deflective statement #but at the same time his whole body language went through a Huge transformation already in the span of 15-20 seconds #I think it is fair that people ask him tougher questions and I think he is very capable of handling them these days #but you can just... tell that this subject will always be kind of elephant-in-the-room-ish #and that in many ways russell is trying to carry himself with pride while simultaneously looking like a guilty dog #ALSO i do think he is right and justified in saying this

#former creepy landlord found another way to try to contact me #blocked him there too but it does freak me out a tiny bit that he's still trying #he would *absolutely* have shown up at my new place if I'd given him any hint of the address when he insisted #I'm. reasonably sure he'll run out of avenues to try before he actually finds me #i don't think there's anyone he can ask for my new address who'd know it #I guess he might try showing up at my university building again but it's a big building with lots of people so I should be able to dodge him #or at least make it so he'd have to make a scene to talk to me #....I also left my bike at the old place bc I moved in winter & it was too icy to take it #& have been avoiding going back for it due to risk of running into him #had just started to consider just going for it at a time he's usually at work but this freaked me out enough to reconsider that #The Landlord Situation #if you are annoyed that that is still a tag I have use for:#trust me I'm even more so
