I made an actual social calendar to mark down if I’ve spoken to my friends or not (31 boxes for 31 days- assign the color key as you will) because my brain has no sense of time and I’ll go months without speaking to my friends- feel free to steal at your leisure
I have started making some digital bookish products! I am still learning but I'm putting all my love and creativity into these! Please check them out or share with a friend, I would appreciate it so much!
The work on the documents continues, I am getting more and more comfortable with the 1700s handwriting, thankfully. I am also finding out interesting elements I wasn't aware of, that hopefully will be useful for my final work. I plan on finishing working on this part of the documents during the rest of the week, as well as rereading a few old resouces I had worked on in the past, to then write an email to the professor who is helping me with this thesis. Overall I will admit today wasn't as productive as it could have been, because I wasn't feeling well at all, but I am trying to not go too hard on myself.
📖: Salem's Lot by Stephen King
🎵: Eurovision in Turin (live) by Eugenio In Via Di Gioia (I made the mistake of relistening to this song as a joke the other day, and now I cannot for the life of me get it out of my head. It's probably the immaculate chaotic energy that makes me love it)
I'm very proud of myself for sticking with my writing tracker as a habit forming tool. This is the first time I've consistently tracked my progress, and I think it was really helpful in helping me learn what works for me.
The Year in Review:
Most consistently reached word count: 600 - 700 words
Least consistently reached word count: 1200 - 1300 words
Highest word count: 1900 - 2000 words
Lowest word count: 1-100 words
Best month for writing: October
Worst month for writing: August
I can't wait to keep this up and see how much my habit improves this year!
My journal set up for 2024. I have a title page followed by some ideas (instead of resolutions), a six month overview, language goals that will become more specific as I get back into the groove, media trackers for film&tv, books, videogames and podcasts, a tracker for "little adventures" and my normal daily spreads I update weekly with varying designs. I also have a budget and savings tracker I didn't take pictures of for privacy reasons lol.
Not sure exactly why, but this time of year always feels like a fresh start ~✰ maybe it's the association with a new school year, or the promise of autumn just around the corner...
Made a habit tracker to match my social tracker I posted a few days ago, feel free to steal 👍🏻 who knows if anyones interested I’ll make a whole pack of pages
Going to attempt to read more in 2024. This year was quite a bit of a failure for reading so hoping to rectify that for next year. I'm not anticipating getting to 20 books and there isn't quite enough writing space in the book list, but I wanted to leave it open ended to a realistic amount I /could/ read in a year.
I decided to go for a Star Trek/Moon theme this time. I had already done a Star Trek theme when I started watching Discovery so I thought it was only fitting to do so now that I’m watching Strange New Worlds!
This is also inspired by an OC I have for these two shows, hence the weird looking mood tracker. I will add a picture of it filled up at the end of the month! (and who knows I might eventually post a fic on @mindful-of-ideas at some point)
