I wish you could see the naked truth… I guess), sunshine, glitch, choker (self-sabotage is a sweet romance)

state of grace (okay I never liked the idea of writing a red album fic cause it is the ultimate breakup album and in my world my ship always works out. So really this is more for the canon ship, which I low key have put a lot of thought into and may just write it one day… but I don’t really wanna cause I do not care about the canon ship. But I literally have it all mapped out in my head. All 30 songs. But anyways this is the worthwhile fight I guess would be his stance for my queen if I’m making it for my ship)

Get away (okay I can’t. This has always been a kaishi song to me and I kinda still really wanna write this fic for them one day… but I guess we can roll with this as just the title, cause the lyrics are definitely more geared towards kaishi for me)

I still need to finish that and perhaps add the joker and the queen, but for this purpose we’ll continue the theme of running away or not), new religion, everybody talks (in which as per usual in my fics, everyone ships them), (skipping this one cause it’s not my song but one of my brothers that made the list)

Treacherous (okay I know I said no red songs cause breakup album but… this to me has (still is) always been the most CoAi song Tay ever wrote so… yeah)

In conclusion, this would literally be every fic I’ve ever written so yeah. Totally doable

Okay I said it on Twitter so I'll say it here as well. Bummerland makes me think of all the previous albums at the same time. The drums remind me of Pitchfork Kids, the lyrics make me think of the Click and the choir in the background gives me Neotheater vibes in the best possible way. It has touches from all three of them, but it still manages to be its own thing, distinct, energetic and amazing.

Overture - I love their overtures they’re so nerdy and retro and I’m always so happy listening to snippets of the process and what’s to come

Bummerland - good summer song, it was a single so I already liked it lol, I wish I could’ve played it all last summer but I prob will also play it all this summer

3 O’clock Things - made a lot of good points, touched on some experiences I’ve had too and got me thinking, felt like a little quarantine brain dump

My Play - My favorite single from this album it hits and I sometimes cry listening to it I love

Joe - I like it, some vampire weekend vibes in the instrumentals

Adventure is Out There - ok Disney’s UP stans I see you lol, good quarantine pent up song while also still applying to non pandemic life, I really like the chorus, oooh the end descending notes but was a little Beatles reminiscent I liked it

Bang! - oh, bang... my least favorite single lol, it’s slaps sometimes but after seeing it bullied on tiktok I can only takes it once in awhile lol, gotta love the subway voice guy though and it was so cool how they built it up in their livestream concert in December

The Trick - the voice weirded me out in the beginning idk how I feel about it but I get what they’re going for, “the truth is that I’m screwed” I felt that, yeah I don’t vibe with the voice, I love the lyrics and the strings though!!

Ordinaryish People - um hello blue man group icons, I love the vintage motif, lol my friend always tell me they make “music for happy people” so the first verse was fun lol, “when you’re nobody nobody minds” giving me I’m Not Famous vibes, I actually really like most of what BMG brought to it even if it sounded like boomwhackers hehe

Humpty Dumpty - honestly my man humpty is a mood, I will continue to hide under my pillow though thanks, overall I actually really like this song, once you get over how weird it is to hear humpty dumpty so often lol

World’s Smallest Violin - I’m immediately hooked, I love this one, a little theatre-y but a good lyrics and I definitely feel that and if I wasn’t in the middle of a migraine I would be grooving way more, I like the piano break in the middle, I love the stick percussion all the way through, gives me a little bit of Tangled I’ve Got a Dream vibes? Idk

Way Less Sad - I’ve had this one on repeat since it dropped as a single I love this song, it feels the most like their other bangers to me idk, also a big mood, HEY HEY HEY

Christmas in June - NEW ORLEANS, this one was so cute, making it work and I could picture the timeline of this year and of touring years, to speak in Taylor terms, I would put this in the same chapter as Dear Winter, the same love story, this was such a cute song honestly, communication kings

The audience got to sing the if youre fucking racist line! And also one of my favorite moments had to be the lyric change in Joe cause he said, "every city knows your name" and i actually teared up a little and when they were calling out audience members and someone had on a little bummerland flamingo headband and threw it onstage and ryan put it on was funny.. And when they started world's smallest violin i started losing my marble and bouncing up and down, my mom danced with me during bang!( The bit where they explained how bang! was made was the same as in one spectacular night so id already seen that part )and she kept smiling at me during dear winter and then at the end i stood up and danced to way less sad and they whole thing was so fun!! They did a mashup of dear winter and christmas in june then did christmas in june but they also sang Weak and Karma and Burn This Down but not Humpty Dumpty. The bit where they told the story about meeting elton john was so funny and final note on this jack saying how theyve never done a show in virginia before made me honk laugh because like. YEAH. IK.
