I think Dick and Mari are both fairly protective people, but if I had to choose, I’d say Mari.

Just for the sheer bredth of things she’d fight someone over, mostly. And also her tactics to do so.

physical danger? check. friend has been slighted? check. you're sad about [insert mundane problem here]? already being fixed and also have a cookie. magic problems? send her out. is that a potential suitor? mari’s already rolling up her sleeves for a terryingly friendly shovel talk.

she can be vicious, she can be petty, she can be righteous. she can be gentle and harsh and furious.

Mari, once she takes you in as her own, would fight the whole world to keep you safe.

I have an inconsistent hogwarts house disease and have tested into all of them at one point or another. though, mostly I just say I'm a ravenclaw since their traits are what I value most.

How I feel about this character

i like kagami but she’s not one of my favorite characters. certainly up there, but i don’t think about her individually much unfortunately. though, I do want to learn more about her as a character specifically rather than just how she relates to other characters via their relationships.

like, I want to see her drive to succeed at everything, I want to see her get competitive about ridiculous things and loosen up. i want to see her learn that she doesn’t need to be composed all the time, that it’s okay to be wild and silly and emotional.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

adrien, because I think they're enough of opposites that they can help each other grow, but have enough in common that it won't strain them.

also like, I kinda like the idea of kagami and alix being together?? like, they’re opposite sides of the same spectrum and I love that. alix is so chaotic and kagami so controlled and I think they’d dislike each other at first but would quickly realize that they’re actually pretty similar.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Kagami and Marinette, I want these two to be friends so bad. also the ultimate form of kagami, mari and luka.

also, because i want to see kagami be competitive but in a fun way, i also really want kagami to be friends with alix and kim in some way. those two are so silly and chaotic and i think they could draw out the kid in kagami by challenging her to fun competitions and everything

i wish kagami would be a permanent miraculous holder. i also want kagami to find out mari is ladybug before adrien because i think that would be a fun dynamic and allow the two to get closer.

I don’t technically ‘coo’ over things, just because that’s the kind of person i am, but when i interact with typically ‘cute’ things i just kind of,,,, act normal? like some people have special voices for animals/little kids but i just talk to them like they’re an actual person.

but, in the same vein, youre not technically wrong. my family gives me so much (good-natured) shit for my neutral expressions or placid way of saying ‘oh that’s cool/that sounds like fun’ when I'm really excited for a trip/activity/whatever.

I'm a multi-shipper and I am very guilty of just, absorbing new ships via osmosis??? most of my ships are things I saw art/fic for and just went, ‘yeah i’ll take ten of those, thanks’

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)

the thing about my relationship with characters is that, often, my headcanons rarely apply to canon b/c i work within the realm of AU’s so much that it makes headcanons only applicable in that specific au.

so most of the time, when I think of characters, I think of broad strokes or what their cores are, ie, the things about their personality/characterizations that stay solid for them no matter what world I could put them in.

the only big one I can think of at the moment is like: the whole batfam is feral in subtly different ways, including duke who likes to think he’s sane but deep down knows he fucking isn’t

(this is actually something i did defend a couple months back, and i still believe it whole heartedly. No person who willingly goes out to be a vigilante is in any way, shape, or form not capital-f Feral.)
