i am very fond of the vang0 bang0 trans headcanon but u know what’s funnier??

him waking up in a warehouse and not remembering anything. except there are 2 big ass scars on his torso. and since he forgot abt pretty much the whole world, he also forgot about the concept of trans ppl (and like, gender in general, but this would be a complicated concept to really comprehend as fully socialized individuals bc gender is a very big part of society and we can’t just imagine living without the norms it created, ANYWAY). so he just thinks, 'yo, i got wounded pretty bad in the past lol'

and he learns how to live in society again and thinks he’s just like any other man. which he kinda is. he tells everyone he’s kind of a warrior bc of his scars and even though everyone knows they’re top surgery scars, they think he’s joking and never actually tell him off.

when he tries to find his past, he only finds traces of a woman who looks a lot like him. so he thinks it’s his twin sister, and when he tries to look for her, she hasn’t given any signs of life since a few years before he woke up in a warehouse. then, his theory is that she died in a fight with a gang or some sort of criminal organization, and that he got those scars by trying to defend her. it made him a bit sad, but he was glad his past self was brave enough to try and fight. he wished he was that brave now.

but everything stops when someone in the streets seems to recognize him and calls him by his deceased sister’s name. vang0 is about to ask them about her, and everything that has happened before the warehouse, but burger shoves a fist in their face before he can try. dapper is incredibly angry too, and it takes vang0 a few rounds of vehement insults before he starts to understand. he didn’t get the scars from a fight, at least not a physical one. and he never had a twin sister.

when he asks burger and dapper about it, they say they thought he knew he was trans and that asking him about it would be disrespectful.

im gonna keep on w my vang0 bang0 headcanons bc i love writing them and this fandom is dead so.

alright hear me out: vang0’s blonde long hair is a wig

not that shocking i know, but im gonna tell u why and when and why he doesn’t wanna tell anyone abt it

so he wakes up in a warehouse right, and he remembers batshit abt everything

he just knows he has scars on his torso (per my previous hc) and a shitty haircut. here im talking abt either a bad bowlcut or a badly hidden balding, something really ugly. he hates it and thinks that whoever he was before, he had shitty taste. but whatever, he just has to change it before he gets out of this hellhole. alright, but here’s this: there’s no mirror in the warehouse except for the shitty camera of his agent. sure, he does find some cutting objects, but he doesn’t want to cut himself, and he doesn’t want to make his hair even uglier either.

that’s when he fins a wig buried in one of the boxes the warehouse contains. not a very good quality, but when he puts it on and watches his reflection in his agent camera, he doesn’t think it’s too bad. actually, he thinks it gives him some sort of style. some swag, if u may.

2 weeks later, once he starts working and gaining money, he buys himself a better one. and his goal is clear: he has to let his hair grow and then dye it blonde. until that happens, the wig stays. but then again, things rarely happen as planned: his hair takes very, VERY long to grow. in a year, he grows maybe 3 inches. and that’s humiliating. especially when he’s convinced everyone he knows his wig is his real hair, because, hey, "explaining u have a wig because your haircut is ugly is really lame".

(once again, just like for the trans thing, everyone knows he wears wigs. his moustache and his brows are dark, and sometimes dapper can see his real hair peeking through when he wears a low ponytail. burger doesn’t really notice anything, and both never mention it to vang0 because they think he’s joking. although after the whole deadnaming incident they understand he doesn’t have that kind of humor, but still don’t want to upset him)

so he keeps wearing wigs.

👻 just infodump about cyberpunk spies i am very very intrigued despite not knowing anything about cyberpunk stuff

fuck yeah fuck yeah time to tell you about how curt gets to meet the pcpr gang

so i think curt and burger are the first people to meet to really bring the two groups together like. even though tatiana and dasha for sure were roommates for like a year they're both such "business and personal lives separate" people they never really have their friend groups cross paths. so curt and burger both frequent the same late night cafe either for cases or just for hanging out and i think burger and curt both wind up sitting at the diner table one night and burger, being burger, just leans over to ask him what sort of milkshake he's ordered (it's a chocolate peanut butter simulacrum, given that real dairy is. hard to come by) and curt, being Curt, indulges him in his many questions. because they are both autistic bitches who vibe off each other Very Well. and then they just keep running into each other and sitting by each other and eventually it's more of something they Look Forward To rather than just a happenstance. at some point burger asks curt for his agent number and the two of them start chilling in burger's van and sharing tips and playing sixnite together and eventually. curt just sort of befriends dasha and vang0 by proxy. they still meet up for midnight milkshakes a lot :)
