So I just watched this for the first time last night and I’m heartbroken. Seriously, I can’t stop thinking about it, it’s haunting me so I had to think of a storyline to make my poor heart better and I got two options:

1) it was just a vision to show Astarion and Tav why he shouldn’t ascend and he doesn’t ascend and they lived happily ever after, the end.

2) Astarion’s shocked like Tav’s death shook him to his core enough to change his nature and he contacts Mephistopheles to make a deal with him to bring her back and now there’s two options:

- either he gives his powers back and turns back into a spawn and Tav is brought back as mortal

- or he’s tasked to find something like really hard to get idk what but he needs help so he goes and get Halsin, Gale, Shadowheart, Lae’zel etc and he doesn’t tell them what happened but they agree to join him on his quest to bring Tav back

Either way he’ll have to deal with her as she’s brought back to life cause she doesn’t want to be with him anymore and he’d have to either let her go or spend the rest of his life making it up to her

So I re-listened to Burn from Hamilton, which I don't do often, because for personal reasons I prefer First Burn more but oh lord. That song.

It fitted Eliza's character more and the narrative too but...

It made me hate the husband I don't even have.

It is such a well crafted song! I love it now way more than I did. I don't know if it's underapprechiated or not but it was by me.
