this has probably been done a million times but. tma musical ideas courtesy of @emiwith2braincells and i

the lonelyeyes tango. peter cant dance, like at all, but hes trying his best. elias is annoyingly good at it (as always) and gets way too into it

either michael or helen gets to chase jon to california gurls. its horribly distorted though. bonus points if jon is screaming the entire time

annabelle and elias are the narrators and get to break the fourth wall to question the songs they've been given or shit that doesn't make sense, which confuses the fuck out of everyone around them. especially peter. he just watches his husband start talking in a random direction and refuses to acknowledge it. also elias and annabelle fight over who gets to narrate the best/most fun parts

whenever gerry comes on stage (which is often because i say so), mcr starts playing and he has to tell it to stop and wonders where it keeps coming from. hes involved with the eye enough to hear it but not enough to fully break the fourth wall. when he appears as a book dead! plays extremely loudly and he and jon have to yell their dialogue over it

in the later section of the musical whenever jonmartin does anything cute and the whole audience goes "awwwww" jon just turns to face us and says "could you not? we're trying to have a moment here" "jon who are you talking to" "don't worry"

someone gets trapped in the hallways and has a breakdown to fancy by twice

jane has a bag or something full of worms that she chucks into the audience sometimes so if youre unlucky youll get a faceful of worm

theres a big group number that almost all of the cast join in with... but its the jurgen leitner rant put to music. gerry gets to lead it

agnes shows up a few times and keeps opening her mouth to sing but is interrupted by various other people/things. in the end she never gets to say a word

elias has at least one ott costume change. theres definitely high heels or platform shoes at some point. when jon sees them he visibly dies inside

at one point nikola's skin is just a piece of ham stapled to her face. no explanation is given for this

leitner gets a huge buildup to his song, prepares to sing and then is immediately bpmed

somehow trexel breaks in at some point and either michael or helen has to get rid of him (i hc him as a spiral avatar). theyre like "this isnt your show fuck off" and just punt him offstage like a football

I went skiing today! I was away for most of the day, but I am proud to say, that I still managed to do some (very easy) math and revision of a book for a test tmr. It wasn´t a lot, but it´s kind of a big step for me to get something done before 9pm after a full day of sport. And I ate 3 burned very crispy crossaints. 10/10

there are a twenty other open seats in this library, so why did she have to sit next to you? let her knee brush up against your leg ever so slightly. whisper a “sorry.” into the air. eyes trapped in a copy of the art of war.

your face is a fixed scowl, because anderson is a cunt. a crude and prissy know it all who refuses to let you have the last laugh. if you got a 99 she got an 100. if you got an A she got an A+. she was truly treacherous to be around, and somehow always magically found her way to you.

you get up to grab a book on a higher shelf and she’s behind you in no time. body leaning against yours to grab it for you. giggling to herself about you being on your tippy toes. “i’d hate to see a book get hurt after falling on that hollow, rock hard, head of yours.”

it’s moments like those that make you think about how she is just so so sweet. she’ll steal a pencil from you and pretend she has no idea what you’re talking about, even if you can see it poking out of her back pocket. is it just that she likes to argue? to rile you up?

if you have the anwser to a question and somehow find the courage to raise your hand she’d throw you a devious look that could kill. then she’d actually throw a ball of paper at you, causing you to look back and miss the opportunity to display your knowledge and skills.

but imagine this, tucked in an office secluded on campus is you and your professor. she’s smiling shyly while whisper praising you for your essay that won her competition. then she gets too close, her hands are being far to handsy and suddenly abby is? wait where the hell did abby come from?

banging at the door like a madman with urgent matters to discuss. something along the lines of a D which you know she’d never get and she looks over at you with somber and soft eyes. the first time you’ve ever seen her face low. had she been waiting outside the for you?

had she bribed your project partner to switch with her so you could be together? was the coincidence of you both studying at the same coffee shop at the same time not a coincidence? did she happen upon your number by chance, or beat it out of an unassuming and unsuspecting freshman you’d tutored?

why couldn’t she keep her hands off of you at parties? why does she only smile when she notices you’ve walked into a room? when your dorm had a surprise fire, why were you the only person she could worry about? why was she so ready to run back in and save you?

because she likes you, silly. underneath the rivalry and the smugness and her crude actions was a crush burning holes in her icy heart. you were making her ill. you were under her fingernails like pesky dirt she could not rid herself of.

she was feverishly and most earnestly in love. and she had to do something about it. so that’s why she was here, right now, softly knocking at your door. your body, your lips, and your eyes being the only thing on her mind. well, that isn’t entirely true. something had given her the hope that this conversation would lead to much more than an understanding between you two.

I’m now halfway through The Magnus Archives’ 1st season, so I thought it would be cool to just post my thoughts on each episode so far :). (Spoilers, I like all of them, and this podcast is going to be all I care about for a while.) Also NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!

- Episode 1, Anglerfish 🚬

Statement of Nathan Watts, regarding an encounter on Old Fishmarket Close, Edinburgh.

Really strong start, not the scariest episode so far but definitely unnerving, and it gives a good first impression and layer of intrigue. While the story is simple in comparison to the later ones, it was still enjoyable, and I was just appreciating the atmosphere and framing device of the episode as well.

- Episode 2, Do Not Open ⚰️

Statement of Joshua Gillespie, regarding his time in the possession of an apparently empty wooden casket.

This is still one of my favorites. The whole time I was on edge, and this was the first episode that really kept me up at night. I went from wanting to know what was inside the coffin desperately, to wanting to stay away from it as much as possible. Joshua’s insuring dread and creative solution to his problems was fantastic, and it ends with some intriguing plot threads being set up.

- Episode 3, Across The Street 📓

Statement of Amy Patel, regarding the alleged disappearance of her acquaintance Graham Folger.

I think I share a common sentiment when I say that Amy stalking Graham was almost as creepy as the actual horror lmao. Overall I don’t have that much to say about this one, but it was very enjoyable, and I feel really bad for Graham in retrospect :(.

- Episode 4, Pageturner 📕

Statement of Dominic Swain, regarding a book briefly in his possession in the winter of 2012.

I…feel like I should hold off on talking about this one for now. While it was definitely well written and creepy, it just seems to be so full of setup for future plot lines that I almost don’t feel like I can form a concise opinion on it until I really get what’s going on. Honestly, my only complaint with this episode is that maybe it’s setting up TOO much in one go, but I still had a good time with it overall.

- Episode 5, Thrown Away 🗑️

Statement of Kieran Woodward, regarding items recovered from the refuse of 93 Lancaster Road, Walthamstowe.

This one actually did a pretty good job at getting me to think about waste disposal workers lmao, I never really thought about them like that before. This one was just really creepy, but also kind of fun in a weird twisted way. It did a great job keeping me on edge as well.

- Episode 6, Squirm 🪱

Statement of Timothy Hodge, regarding his sexual encounter with Harriet Lee and her subsequent death.

I am simultaneously horrified, and unfortunately aroused by what happened here.

- Episode 7, The Piper 🔫

Statement of Staff Sgt. Clarence Berry, regarding his time serving with Wilfred Owen in the Great War.

Having an episode set nearly 100 years ago is a really fun idea, and it’s executed perfectly here. It was interesting how it also featured a real person, and I liked how the paranormal activity felt more metaphorical here, it really did feel like it was showcasing the horror of war.

- Episode 8, Burned Out 🌳

Statement of Ivo Lensik, regarding his experiences during the construction of a house on Hill Top Road, Oxford.

I found this one to be very nerve-wracking, since not only was the whole scenario with the tree just, like…three creepy things happening at once, but the fact that the statement was given by someone with schizophrenia did a good job making me question it’s validity, even though I’m certain it’s true after listening to a later statement. I also hope that I get to see how the history of the house is unveiled in the future.

- Episode 9, A Father’s Love 💡

Statement of Julia Montauk, regarding the actions and motivations of her father, the serial killer Robert Montauk.

This one made me feel really sad :(. I really felt Julia’s despair in this one (Jonathan Sims does such great voice acting for every statement btw, both the character and the actual person), and I was even more saddened by the implications of why Robert did what he did. If my assumptions are correct, then…SCREW THE MOTHER! It was also the first one that got me thinking about where exactly all of the paranormal stuff comes from, and later episodes only add to my theory that it’s all due to demons/cults/higher powers.

- Episode 10, Vampire Killer 🧛‍♂️

Statement of Trevor Herbert, regarding his life as a self-proclaimed vampire hunter.

Much like Episode 8, this one did a really good job at making me question the validity of the statement, although I became more sure of its truth a bit earlier. I also just love how nonchalant Trevor comes off as, compared to all of the other traumatized horror victims. (Also, I’m guessing that the name Trevor and the episode title are meant to be a Castlevania reference?) While vampires aren’t the most creative thing for an episode, at least in comparison to everything else, the beast-like execution here more than made up for it in my opinion.

- Episode 11, Dreamer 💭

Statement of Antonio Blake, regarding his recent dreams about Gertrude Robinson, previous Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute.

Yeah…Gertrude Robinson did not die a normal death. My guess is that she was caught by ✨the horrors✨, but I’ll wait and see. This was another very tense episode, with the prophetic dream world being really, REALLY creepy. I do hope we get to see more of “Antonio” in the future, as I think he could be quite important. (I also hope he gets punched for DUMPING GRAHAM IN HIS TIME OF NEED-)

- Episode 12, First Aid 🏥

Statement of Lesere Saraki, regarding a recent night-shift at St. Thomas Hospital, London.

OMG GERARD KEAY HI HI HI HI HOW ARE YOU!!! Yeah I audibly gasped when he showed up again, it was such a cool moment. Anyways, hospitals already creep me the fuck out so this was pretty effective. Definitely some great setup here, and it helped to make a bit more sense of Pageturner, now that I have a better idea of what Gerard’s whole deal is. It also added some good fuel to the whole cult idea, and my god this poor nurse. Having to deal with all of this in a single night sounds like hell.

- Episode 13, Alone 🌫️

Statement of Naomi Herne, regarding the events following the funeral of her fiancé, Evan Lukas. Statement taken direct from subject.

Having a new voice in this episode was really cool, and Katie Davison did an excellent job as Naomi! It was also cool to see how Jon interacts with other people, he was…nicer than expected. This episode honestly felt like it was calling me out, as I am also someone who’s confident in my independence, but if I was in Naomi’s place I would also probably be scared shitless. I really hope she’ll get a happy ending :(. Also, The Lukas family is quite intriguing, especially since we now know they have a connection to The Institute…

- Episode 14, Piecemeal 👆

Statement of Lee Rentoul, regarding the murder of his associate Paul Noriega.

Firstly, this is probably my favorite of Jon’s vocal deliveries. His performance of Lee Rentoul just feels perfect. (Once again, this applies to both the writer and the character, I’m genuinely convinced the latter is an ex-theatre kid.) Outside of that, THIS ONE CREEPED ME OUT. The body horror was very effective, with the only thing holding it back being the fact that Lee isn’t the most likable protagonist in the podcast, but if this happened to someone else I’d be even more upset. Still though, it was a very creative concept, and the whole vibe and execution of the episode made it great.

- Episode 15, Lost Johns’ Cave 🕯️

Statement of Laura Popham, regarding her experience exploring the Three Counties System of caves with her sister Alena Sanderson.

- Episode 16, Arachnophobia 🕷️

Statement of Carlos Vittery, regarding his arachnophobia and its manifestations.

The way they tackled the concept in the title was really well done. Arachnophobia is seen as an irrational fear by a lot of people, so having it portrayed as an effect of childhood trauma was a good call. And as someone who is not arachnophobic, this episode got me close to feeling that way. What ever force was making Carlos relive his trauma is a sick fuck. Also the cat was a real one, glad he survived the whole situation. (Also THE WORMS, HOLY SHIT IT’S THE SEX WORMS!!!)

- Episode 17, The Boneturner’s Tale 🦴

Statement of Sebastian Adekoya, regarding a new acquisition at Chiswick Library.

This episode really compelled me to get out the rubber bands connecting images lmao. I really liked all of the connections to past statements here, like the presence of another book from the library of Jurgen Leitner, to the mention of Micheal Crew. The body horror here was once again very creepy, (outside of the flat rat, that was morbidly funny), but my favorite part of the episode was the introduction of Elias, which was a humorous, but also very intriguing scene. Also, the themes of books containing power was great as well. Great stuff all around.

- Episode 18, The Man Upstairs 🥩

Statement of Christof Rudenko, regarding his interactions with a first floor resident of Welbeck House, Wandsworth.

…ew. Ok in all seriousness, this is probably my least favorite episode so far. Still very far from bad, but after all of the extremely interesting themes and plot threads, having an episode where the idea was just “What if a guy had a house covered in meat? Wouldn’t that be fucked up?”, felt just a little bit underwhelming. Which like, the fact that my least favorite episode’s biggest problem is that I find it slightly pales in comparison to previous ones is just a testament to how much I’ve been enjoying the podcast. Still though, there were definitely a few things I really liked. The reveal of the room was creepy (especially considering the meat that seemed…alive…), and as someone who has had to deal with upstairs neighbors making noise for hours during construction, this episode definitely scared me.

- Episode 19, Confession, and Episode 20, Desecrated Host ✝️

Statement of Father Edwin Burroughs, regarding his claimed demonic possession.

This, alongside Lost Johns’ Cave, was one (or I guess, two…) of those episodes that seriously fucked me up. While I am not religious, I have always had fears of how religion can negatively affect me and the people around me, despite the good that it seems to do for so many people. So seeing Edwin be charged for every “sin” he committed by a higher power that wishes to steal its faith, and then not get judged by it, but by the people around him for his one true sin, was absolutely haunting, and I hope he turns out ok in the end. Outside of the horror, the episodes were fantastic. Listening to the events of Episode 8 from Edwin’s perspective, and seeing how Ivo’s actions saved him, was really cool, and solidifies in my mind that Ivo’s experience was real. The connections to demonic magic and Latin script thickened, and it was overall just a great mid-season finale. In conclusion, I hope that Martin feels better soon, and if he isn’t actually sick and is being plagued by ✨the horrors✨, well then I hope he survives :).

1-Charlie Burns Robocop AU: I talked about this one a long time ago and I even rewatched the old Robocop movies for this one but then my hype vanished like my lunch. The plot is about how after Charlie ¨survives¨ a brutal accident but leaves Chase dead, Doc Greene and the Mayor find a way to keep Chieff alive but at the cost of his humanity. The rest of his family and the Bots have to deal with the changes as how Charlie starts to see how the rest of the town sees him as more of a robot than the once kind policeman he was...

In this one, Cody probably suffers the more because what is left of his family is 24/7 fulfilling his dad's place... and the Bots can't help because they are also dealing with the loss of their teammate.

2-Monster Food Graham AU-(@/frosty-tian I promise with the blood of my sister that I will write this or I'll end myself). The thing with the Magic Meat was a more... deadly thing to deal with, Graham in his monster form had actually hurt Cody to a level that made his transformation a part of him forever. Lusket was in the same place, but his monster part was stronger.

If anyone believes that Graham can forgive himself for this, is his own family.

A Tony Stark/OC kidfic where Tony has a special agreement with the government after HYDRA's infiltration is discovered, where everything is run through a program that cross-references the HYDRA files just in case there's a connection.

In 2016 he gets a hit: a DNA match after a paternity test that shows the child is HIS. But why is HYDRA involved? And... he has a kid??

When he shows up at the house, so does a HYDRA goon who tries to kidnap the 8 year old girl--except she massively outsmarts the guy with booby traps and robots in her room. Which is adorned with Captain America stuff. Also, he's never met her mother before...

Over the course of trying to protect the kid and her mother, it's discovered that Tony and she had attended the same MIT conference and stayed at the same hotel. HYDRA agents drugged both of them and impregnated her after obtaining sperm from him. Their goal had been to exploit Tony's death in Afghanistan according to Stane's contract, but to flip the script on Stane by showing that they had an heir, meaning that Stane was at their mercy unless he played ball with all their schemes.

When Tony survived, they laid low and let the woman assume her pregnancy was just a mixup with her current partner. Then SHIELDRA went down and the project went under deep cover, until now.

The story would eventually result in Tony bonding with his kid and falling for her mother (who I was writing to be half South Asian, with help from a few friends of that ancestry). If you think about it, ALL of Civil War is about family, found and otherwise, and the theme of Tony being an actual dad would have changed things for him. The final scene would have been the kid using the miniature Iron Man suit he'd built for her to follow Steve and Bucky because she'd studied their historical counterparts and is certain she can smoothe things over with her dad and her favorite superhero.

I chickened out because of the weight of writing a POC OC, if I'm honest! I just don't think I can do it right enough. I'm also pretty anti-kidfic lately after parenting struggles, so this one may remain in the memory banks.

@silverbrume, I will always have more for you! This one is a super rough concept, but I'm in the mood for some humor and whimsy today, and this fits the bill.

Make a Scene (5+1)

Some of my favorite elements of the Bond franchise are James Bond’s preposterous “dramatic entrances” and the way he plays them off so suave and effortlessly cool. Also getting to see Boothroyd-Q in disguise out in the field to deliver tech to Bond mid-mission. I’ve been thinking about a 5+1 fic from Whishaw-Q’s POV, 5 times Q is waiting in disguise to covertly hand off tech to Bond mid-mission, and Bond crashes into the scene in his trademark chaotic fashion. Picture Bond coasting up to a hotel in a burning car that’s literally disintegrating around him. The car gives up the ghost right in front of the valet stand, and Bond exits the smoldering shell of the car, tosses the keys to the baffled valet, and swaggers into the hotel lobby trailing wisps of smoke from the tails of his pristine dinner jacket, whilst passersby crowd around the wreckage of the once-luxury car. Q watching all of this (mesmerized and appalled and more than a little bit impressed, though he'll never admit it) from his station behind the concierge desk, until Bond spots Q and swans over to make terrible puns about Q’s concierge uniform and take possession of his package. ... Like that, x5. The +1 would be Q making his own dramatic entrance, possibly from Bond's POV. Q creating a distraction in order to rescue Bond from a dangerous situation, and Q getting to play the over-dramatic cool cat who totally impresses Bond.

send me a book emoji and i'll tell you a fic idea that i have thought about but haven't written anything for yet

1. okay so. stupid one first - tangled au. like the disney film. percy as rapunzel, which means that, yes, he has beautiful long and flowing hair. the flower is still some sorta sun flower, which makes sense with the de rolos being connected to pelor, but it makes his hair white instead of golden. delilah as mother gothel, who steals baby percy away from the de rolos, and is trying to use his magic hair to bring back sylas, as well as to keep herself young. vex & vax collectively as flynn ryder, the thieves who split from their band after a heist gone wrong and kind of fuck up a lot. (percy is initially attracted to both of them, but only falls in love with vex.) the rest of VM are the hooligans at the snuggly duckling. trinket is maximus. also?? you know the scene where flynn cuts rapunzel's hair??? same thing happens here, and it fades to the soft brown that matches his family.

2. kind of tentative about posting this one, since i do hope to write it, but maybe manifesting a little of it into the world will motivate me more to write it. so! i'll give you a little sneak peek. the bare bones of it is a modern au where percy and vex, newly engaged, have to deal with the sudden and unexplained fire that burns down percy's family's home, as well as some other things happening behind the scenes. it's a mix of a big hurt/comfort fic and a mystery fic, with a focus on percy learning to navigate non-rich boy life while he stays in vex & vax's apartment. i'm unsure on what happened to the rest of the de rolos as of right now, but i'm workshopping it!! anyway unlike the rest of the ideas on this list, this one is still something i'm holding onto, so pls don't steal it if you see this

3. i had this idea based on one of the cr q&a's from a while back, and i actually think this one might be right up your alley, aich: what if cass actually managed to slip away from the castle when the briarwoods attacked, and stayed in whitestone to lead the rebellion? it changes so much about canon - percy would likely meet her much sooner into the whitestone arc, he wouldn't have her name on the list, and the rebellion might actually have made more progress. i admit that i haven't watched much of the briarwood arc of the campaign, so i don't know the minor details surrounding cass' involvement, but it might be fun to play with!! i also have no idea if someone else has done this lol

4. this is an au i've spitballed with my friend to a point of pretty decent development, but i also know it would be a long fic, and i SUCK at writing long fics, or completing them if i do write them, so i'm tossing it into the crowds!!! for your consideration: siren vex. she and vax are both sirens, and they usually go after pirates (the like, nasty ones) or trade ships or military ships. vex specifically likes to go after the extravagant fancy rich people, luring private boats or larger ships to crash on the rocks. she's only had one exception so far, and that was this sad rich boy who was running away from harm - he all but collapsed into her arms sobbing after his boat had been wrecked, and she sees it's a dingy little escape boat, and this man is so pathetic she almost feels bad. this, by the way, is tary, and he eventually gets a lil shack by the shore, and becomes her gay human best friend and he hangs out on the rocks all the time.

the SECOND time she spares a sad lil rich boy's life is when she sees this beat up lifeboat, and sitting in it is the most haggard man she's ever seen. she was initially drawn to the crest on the boat (half-scrubbed away, unable to be tied to a name, but she's familiar with the style of the engravings), and then she noticed that the finely-made clothes are all but water-laden rags now, and the man looks like she hasn't eaten in days. she lures him over to the rocks if only so he won't drift out into the open seas, full of creatures that hunt and sirens who are much less merciful (all sirens are much less merciful, really; she's the outlier here), and hauls him up to a rock while he's in a trance so she can look at him. she calls to tary for him to help, and together they help the man - whose name they learn is "percy" - to get back on his feet. he moves in with tary, and becomes fast friends with the two (and vax as well), and it's all fine and dandy until they realize why he was out to sea with nothing but the clothes on his back: he's being hunted, and the hunters - the briarwoods - have just arrived in the nearby town, and are asking after a man named percival de rolo.

this au was initally inspired by art of mermaid!vex by @burr-ell (here's the art!!) and i would LOVE if someone wrote this, i'm happy to throw more ideas at people for it if they like!!

5. AND since you're also a fan of wanda maximoff, have one of my ideas from my marvel phase! this was an idea i cooked up for AU-gust 2021 but never ended up writing (in fact, i only ended up writing one prompt, whoopsie), and it's essentially a doomsday fic. the world is ending by meteor, the bunkers are full, and both wanda and vision have no place to go. neither has any family to speak of - wanda's parents died young, her brother in a car crash recently, and vision's adopted mother passed earlier that year - so they're some of the only people spending their last minutes outside, in the park, just looking at the sky. (it's a morbid picture.) they just... sit on a park bench and talk, getting to know each other, having a nice and normal conversation. it feels like any other day, for a few hours. i was thinking of a little parallel to tie the ending to earlier in the fic - maybe one of them mentioning they didn't have any regrets as an early icebreaker, except now they both regret they hadn't met each other sooner. not necessarily romantic, although knowing me i would have hinted at it, lol

Dear friend I’m so sorry it’s taken this long for me to reply, but to make it up I will answer with 2 fics that I’ve been burning to write but they still live firmly in my daydreams.

1. Honestly, my headcanon fic is the one that occupies my dream the most. It’s how I envision they actually get together in game and beyond, adding a bunch of exploratory and canon++ scenes in between what we saw, incorporating my WoL a little bit more into it as well as other supporting casts, the people they met in Ishgard, Falcon’s Nest, Tailfeather… the Moogles and their closeness to bards… how after HW Sanson becomes the buffer between the Adders and the wilful Bard… how their personal relationship bleed into their professional relationship culminating in a confession after Guydelot rescues Sanson from Nourval… How the Adders will try and break them apart due to rules and regulations and how they fight back… I want to explore it all in great details. It would be long, leaning towards unwise to my sanity, even, but I’m dying to write it and I want to make time to do so.

Admittedly some of these headcanons have started to appear in Breathe In and Get a Bit Higher, especially in chapter 7 (and the soon to be out chapter 8). However that fic started off with very much a wish-fulfilment premise so I’m cautious in making it sound like this is my true headcanon if that makes sense. I’ve tempted myself to make a sequel that works for both the HC fic and Breathe In, just to kill two birds with one stone since at that point it will firmly be in the Established Relationship territory but I’m still mulling it over.

If I ever write this headcanon fic down, it would legitimately be my magnum opus. If I don’t ever write anything after this, ever, I think I would be happy with that decision.

2. Is the expansion of the Assassin AU fic. I have jotted down some barebones bullet points for these fics but by and large they still live in my dreams. It’s very much a decadent universe I’ve thrown these two in with literally sex and violence mingled together. They desire each other, carnally and otherwise, and they aren’t shy about it, they ride that adrenaline high of their respective jobs (Assassin for Sanson and Bounty Hunter for Guydelot) literally and figuratively. It’s a dangerous entanglement, and a lot of people won’t be happy if they find out about them (just like in canon!). Eventually this secret will catch up to them leading to a rather emotional fallout and it’s Sanson here who needs to make the choice—his head or his heart.

But it won’t be a bard boys fic if they aren’t madly in love with each other so of course they’d find their way back, but there will be a lot of heartaches in the middle, and no shortage of supporters and detractors ready to fight them on their decision. Either way it will be a ride, and I’m chomping at the bit to finally start this in earnest, probably next year sometime!

I hope those are enough morsels for you to enjoy. I get very excited dreaming about them and I hope to eventually do the ideas justice 💛💚

Feel free to ignore me if it’s not ;P) First I just wanna say that I’ve read all of your 00q fics (some of them religiously lol) and absolutely loved every single one! You are amazing!!! My question is about some of your unfinished works, like A King and His Knight (love the character design btw). I know it’s a long shot that you’ll ever finish writing that, but I kinda wanna know where you were going with the plot cuz it really ended with a cliff hanger.

This kind of ask is actually really great, because a lot of things I daydream about are continuations of stories I haven't finished!

I actually do want to finish A King and His Knight someday. I think, at the time, I soundboarded a few ideas with someone who didn't really like any of them, and so I never felt inspired to continue. I also worried that my plot might be too ablest, so I never continued with it! I do have a few bits written here and there, but nothing super concrete :(

Originally the story was going to be something like follows (under the cut for length)

Bond falls off the cliff, but doesn't die (obviously!) and instead wakes up in a mysterious wood, tended to by an even more mysterious woman. I had two versions: one where it was Eve and another where it was Vesper. In both, Eve/Vesper is a very powerful sorceress/mage/spirit(??) with ties to the forest. In both versions, Bond is hurt badly and is unable to continue his journey back to his kingdom to see Q. He's anguished by this, knowing that Q will likely die before he sees him again.

There were two versions of the story after this, but I like this one: after weeks of rest, Bond is ready to return to his kingdom (to bury and mourn Q or to sit by his side as he dies), but just as he is about to set off on his journey, Q appears in the woods. He is vibrant and healthy, riding a horse and wielding a sword with strength he never had before. And he is no longer blind, Their reunion is emotional, of course, and Bond thinks that it's a miracle. Eve/Vesper can see that it is not, and reveals the truth to Bond, who then extracts the truth from Q: that on his deathbed, he had made a deal with a sorcerer (Silva). He would be granted one year of vitality in exchange for his life/soul/etc.

Bond and Q then set out on a quest to find a way to break Silva’s spell. They have less than one year to discover the way to do this. On their journey (where they meet others--in one version this is Trevelyan and Eve [making Vesper the witch in the woods] and a third original character who is actually a magical creature of some kind) Q gets to experience life in a way he never has outside of books. Sunsets and snowfalls and spring flowers blooming. He can ride a horse without tiring and mend torn clothes with precision and take care of a fire without worrying he'll be burned. And, he can see Bond clearly without straining, can make love to him without weakening. Q admits that he knows it's a curse, but that there's a blessing in it too. Bond says that he'd rather have had years and years with Q as he was than such a short time with him like he is now. It's important to me that this was emphasized: Bond loved Q from the beginning, he never considered him less, and never thought of him as a burden.

In the end (by HEROIC MEANS!!!) they find a way to break the spell, but there's a catch: Q would return to his original state. That means he would lose his sight and become sickly again. He might even die. But he might not. He might have time, and be fine…

And Q is fine at first! And he and Bond are still in love, stronger now that they've faced their trials together. Q learns Bond's estate by walking the grounds, touching the walls, and using an assistive cane until he can walk confidently by Bond's side. He doesn’t have to hide his affliction here like he did at the castle. He also does not have to hide his affection for Bond. It's obvious to all that live in Bond's household what they mean to one another, and everyone supports them. They have another happy year together. But when winter comes, Q grows sick again, and will likely die.

Bond despairs.

On the night of the winter solstice, a witch appears on their doorstep with a proposition. She can restore Q back from the brink of death and grant him full health, all in exchange for Bond's life/soul. The witch is generous, having heard of Silva’s proposition. She offers 3 years before Bond has to fulfill his end of the bargain. Bond is tempted--anything to save Q--even after everything they'd gone through. In the end, he realises what it would mean: giving Q his health but then leaving him to live the rest of his life alone and in mourning. Q doesn't want that, just as much as Bond doesn't want to see him die. They eventually decide: if they let things take their natural course, even if it might be unbearable, even if one of them might be lonely, when they die, their souls would be their own and could be together in the afterlife.

So Bond refuses the witch, who then reveals herself to be Eve/Vesper (LE GASP??? not really I guess but I was leaning heavy on the fairy tale tropes here). It had been a test. She is glad to see that they would not be tempted by dark magic again, and that their love is the truest of true loves and deeper than ever. She then bestows upon them a potion/remedy that cures Q's illness. It does nothing for his sight, but makes his lungs and body stronger. He will have to take this potion yearly to not succumb to his body's natural frailty. In exchange, Bond will protect the forests on his land from destruction/desecration, and provide offerings to her at specific points in the year.

The ending scene is the two of them, older now, walking hand and hand through the forest to place gifts on her altar. And they are happy :)

Again, because of the sort of feedback I got originally, I don’t know if it’s worth pursuing the above plot or trying something different. Always happy to hear feedback about what works and what doesn’t. Who knows, maybe it will inspire me one day!

Alright! Another hobbit one, thank you for sending me a book! 😊OH! I've got the perfect one...I have just recently dreamt up the PERFECT Snow White AU.

Snow White AU:

So this opens with Thorin being only sixteen years old when he slew a bear about to kill him and his siblings. Erebor took it as a sign of good fortune to the kingdom. HIs goldsick grandfather saw it as challenging his rule.

Okay, then we have Thror setting Thorin up as a kinslayer, Thorin's guards believing him to be innocent and telling him to run, Thorin escaping to Mirkwood where they help fake his death and aid him with getting to Beorn (Thror nearly burns the forest down for this). Beorn sending him on to Elrond, Thorin getting lost, and taking refuge in the Shire.

For years, he lived as a humble blacksmith, marrying his childhood friend (Bilbo, I made ages align here) when Gandalf arrives urging him to take back his birthright.

This starts to become a bit Snow White and the Huntsman-esque at this point, but realizing the Arkenstone is evil, they need to steal it away from the king, and Bilbo fits the bill perfectly.

Other Snow White elements here! Arkenstone is basically the evil Magic Mirror. Remember, the enchanted river of Mirkwood puts people to sleep so there is a Thorin falls into a deep sleep segment...

Yep, it slaps. And joins my long list of "make Thorin a fairy tale princess" with: Sleeping Beauty AU, Anastasia AU, and Swan Princess AU.

Make me explain plots I can't stop thinking about.

ive spent a lot of time recently trying to remember the hs fics i always dreamed id write one day, but lost motivation for before i ever could. i feel like i used to have endless inspiration and i guess im hoping reflecting on that will help me reconnect with it now

i think i wanted to write a collegestuck fic, where dave and sollux were roommates and dave had a shitty job at a coffeeshop and that he swore was basically step one to becoming a dj because they had live music sometimes and thats *almost* a club (but he doesnt want to be a dj, bro was a dj, hes studying archaeology and hes never been happier and he spends too many hours bent over textbooks in the library with aradia just because he loves it, its everything he wanted when he was a kid and it feels like freedom in his hands, but jade asks him what he wants to be and he says the sickest dj there is, and college is just to tide him over until then, and john asks him what he wants to be and he says a director, so he can make movies even shittier than johns dumbass favorites, and rose asks him what he wants to be and he says solluxs sugar baby, because if you dont admit you want something its harder for people to take it from you)

i dont know what the ship wouldve been, im sure there were times where i was full on applebee2 to the end and times where it wouldve been dvekat and so on and so forth, but i know that dave moved across several states so he could go to school with his friends and i know that he and sollux were assigned to the same dorm and get along in the way that only two irritating nerdboys confined to one room can (which is to say that theyre besties and also they hate each other), because i feel very passionately about sollux and dave being friends just as much as dave and aradia being friends.

i think it would be funny if eridan was studying abroad and was one of those annoying europeans that cant go ten seconds without shitting on america (why are you here then, karkat asks him every ten seconds) and was generally just. literally so insufferable but also had no real idea what he wanted to do w his life so he was just majoring in business even tho he hated it (he switches to history, eventually, and is much happier for it), and i think he studies at daves coffeeshop and gets the kind of coffee that makes dave think hes a pretentious hipster (he is), only he doesnt actually do a lot of studying at all and spends most of his time checking out dave bc hes stupid, and instead of flirting with him he insults him constantly, bc hes stupid. dave literally hates him.

on the side i think id want to spend some time exploring dave reconnecting with rose as long lost siblings and john and jade navigating that weird space of "okay ive known you online forever but this is what knowing you in real life is like huh". i think id go jadrose for this au and emphasize jade having a very complicated relationship with romance bc who am i if i dont make someone aspec. john burns out bad towards the end of their first year and is in his depression era

but yeah. all that, i guess. i came up w a lot of ideas for college aus when i was finishing up community college bc i was so excited to get out and go to uni and so theres a lot of like, idea scraps floating around and maybe someday id like to do something with that, especially now that ive gone to uni and know what its actually like

Do you ever write down a summary first for a fic? Like, what you'd put in as the summary on AO3? Anyways, I haven't actually written any of this one yet, but here's the summary:

Zuko’s not sure why the only other student in Master Piandao’s class was a non-bender from the Southern Water Tribe, or why his father has ordered him to wield the boy as a weapon. He does know why the boy’s hair is white, though, just as his sister’s blood burns. Where each of the Four Nations have a vessel of their respective Gods at their disposal, and Fire Lord Sozin has a grand plan to unite them all under the Fire Nation’s rule.

It's definitely something that might be a longer fic, perhaps even a series. I don't think I'll end up writing it since its... a lot, I think about PLANS for it but the research and time and energy I might dedicate to that would be better off on my own original stuff.

The fic would've been about the three vessel characters; Sokka (Yue is a special case, I'll get to her in a bit), Azula, and I didn't settle on an Earthbender, maybe Toph. The Air one.... doesn't exist, because. Y'know.... (Depending on how extensive the story would get, Aang's kid being the vessel would have been it, assuming I would write sequels). A lot of the meat of the fic was about the vessels and how they're dehumanized/weaponized/traumatized by adults around them.

Sokka's arc would've been the most difficult for me to write. If I did go ahead and write it, I'd want to do plenty of research beforehand of similar situations happening in history. Obviously not fantasy-related, or because of child weapons of mass destruction, but there are sadly many examples of children in history being forcibly ripped away from their families and culture by colonizers/fascists. I'd want to approach writing this with respect and grounded realism, instead of just making up whatever.

Azula's arc would have been about her, as the vessel of Agni, being treated as both a deity and a blade to be wielded by the military. LOTS of conflicting stuff in her arc, especially regarding love and fear. I'd say similar to Salt & Ashes (which is WONDERFUL btw) in how she has been raised by Ozai to just.... not be a person. But a bit different, obviously, because her position as Agni is... a unique one.

Earthbender vessel/Toph, probably, would have been hiding with the White Lotus. I haven't thought about her story, but it probably would've had to do with the Fire Nation attempting to capture her and Iroh having more of a role in her story. Katara and Aang have a story here, too, just. Not exactly the same. I'll have to daydream about what their plot would be more. My initial thoughts would be almost the same as canon, except Katara finds Aang a few years earlier instead. But. IDK. I did want Jet to take a more active role here.
