To break up the time between more exciting announcements from predictor-families, I thought it might be fun to do a little name analysis. I looked up the popularity of each GrandDuggars name in the year they were born to see which parents are the most “on-trend.” Rankings outside of the top 1000 were unable to be determined. Only first names were considered for this analysis. For babies born in 2022, 2021 data was used.

This analysis seems to show that John and Abbie are the most “on-trend” when it comes to naming their children. This isn’t surprising as so far they have picked classic names that have been high in popularity for a long-time. It was interesting to see in this analysis the difference in popularity of names that couples choose for their boys vs. their girls. For example, Josh and Anna’s boys all had names within the top 160 (two even within the top 10), but only one of their girls had a name even found within the top 1000. It was also interesting to see that Jessa and Ben’s name choices varied between top 100 most popular and names that were unranked at all. Overall though, this was just for fun and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Baby Plane 2 Name Predictions

I began writing this before John and Abbie announced the pregnancy. I predicted a Boygeddon a while ago, albeit shorter than Bowgeddon, and you can go back through my blog to see evidence of this if you wish. As I was already working on the name predictions I have included girl names as well.

I think John and Abbie's second child will be a boy (Duggar babies do come in waves of sexes after all). I expect them to use family names again so it's time to delve into the Burnett family tree. Thank you again to the Anon who sent me the names of Abbie's Grandparents a few months ago.

I can see John and Abbie's names for a baby girl going one of two ways; full on virtue names or family names. Abbie said Grace was named after her and Grace's middle name is Annette, which is of course Michelle's name. They have yet to use Abbie's Mum Cheryl's middle name, Denise. Jana's middle name is an option as I know Abbie is close to her and she is of course John's twin.

I'm convinced that a baby boy would be named David after his father. I think it's a cute name and an easy Christian name as well. It's probably a good thing though because otherwise the name Dave might become a rare name in future generations. I feel like almost everyone in the UK must know a Dave. As they used Abbie and Michelle's middle names last time around it's likely they will use John and Abbie's father Johnny's middle names this time. I‘m not sure they’d use James after Abbie’s Grandfather because it’s obviously the name of John’s little brother but Jimmy is a possibility.

JD + Abbie are in California for a helicopter expo (did you know those exist? I didn't), so they're hanging out with the Vuolos.

I notice Abbie is now taking pics that don't show the kids' faces.

Also, I am tickled by the Easter dress in their CostCo cart because I have a daughter the same age as Grace, and I have 100% bought an Easter dress from CostCo. Those dresses are hella cute, and my husband has to redirect me whenever we pass the hangers of tiny people clothes.
