hello :) afaik you know a lot about ER lore but do you about main storyline? if it's ok to ask, i'm just reading the manga and wondering what the heck happened to Mei's father.

Ok so this is going to need some context. Basically, in 2014, Cocolia had her eye on Mei in particular for her plans.

Anti-Entropy operative Cocolia had in her possession the Gem of Conquest, aka the Core of Thunder that Sirin generated from the leftover Honkai energy on the dark side of the moon.

It’s not clear if that’s still canon, but at the time those manga were written, when she was a kid, Mei had a stigmata awakening much like Seele and accidentally turned people into zombies with it. That got sealed by her dad Ryoma.

That’s why there’s a lot of weapons by ME Corp that mention “project MEI” and or subduing her non-lethally.

Regardless, having a stigmata meant Mei was an ideal Herrscher candidate, so Cocolia was like, it’s free real estate, except I need her dad out of the way.

Ryoma was working with AE for at least a decade and a half at this point but she’d allied herself with Gray Serpent (so World Serpent) and she had Plans to, among others, find Seele I believe. Honestly I’m not totally clear on what exactly she was trying to do by creating a Herrscher besides obviously acquiring power and basically doing WS’s dirty job for them by flooding places with Honkai.

Regardless, to maximize the chances of Mei turning into a Herrscher, kid had to be miserable. Convenient her dad was the CEO of ME Corp and she could totally use the funds. So she framed the guy for fraud, had him sent to prison, and took his place, functionally leaving Mei an orphan overnight having to take care of herself. I don’t think Mei believed the trial’s verdict, but she got bullied for her dad being sent to prison in her rich kids school Senba Academy, so it was all according to plan for Cocolia.

Then Cocolia flooded the core with Honkai, eruption happened, Mei became a Herrscher etc etc.

After they stop Cocolia in The Deep, she gets arrested and Ryoma is released. Presumably she admitted to having framed him. He was calling Mei every week until she joined World Serpent.

Last time we heard about him he went to Salt Lake Base, much like Sin Mal, while the main gang went to Kolosten. They’re there, just offscreen.

Idk if you got any feedback on that post about honkai news accounts but:

Marisa Honkai has a yt chanel (there are prob some other chanels as well, but that's the one I look at the most)

As for any blogs on here: @/voliyu usually posts about new battlesuits and other stuff when betas come out, @/busghost has posts about lore and such and I believe @/phoenix-is-the-hottest-thing has posts about lore and some guides about Elysian Realm iirc

oh my god i am not the one to ask for honkai recommendations. also dont use bronya unless you have silverwing reason or haxxor or if youve got a killer build and team for the rest.

the only thing i do on that app is fuck around the events and storyline and do the bare minimum in abyss and elysian realm to pull on whatever banner is up. better to ask people like @/busghost or @/phoenix-is-the-hottest-thing for things like this!

I think there's a manga about theresa encountering her in that form but she either got defeated or ran out of power and turned into the loli cabbage we have in game

Is the Herrscher Of The End kiana or sirin Kr the honkai it self? Because i searched it and it says it is or on other websites its not neither of them. I'm just curious.

im not an expert on the lore (@busghost knows more about the lore !!) but i believe kiana was the herrscher of the end in ggz? kiana ended the world in ggz if i recall correctly.

other than that i dont know much about it. if you search it up some wikis might give more information!

Idk if this has been asked to you before but do you know the lore behind SWARA? From my understanding SWARA = Blade Mantra - it's mental suggestions put onto the user and it's part of why the reason Hua and her students are so strong. But what exactly is the true nature of the treatment, and what are its physical, mental, and psychological effects on the user; specifically, Hua? What added benefits and downsides did SWARA have on her as a MANTIS, and how did its destruction affect her power level (until it was completely removed in her fight against Sushang)?

In the first place how come Hua can naturally forget and remember memories now without Fenghuang Down's aid? Is it related to SWARA?

SWARA aka the Blade Mantra (which appears to be a modified version) was made by Dr.MEI as a weaker version of Aponia’s Discipline. It’s hypnosis that tricks your body and brain into making you way stronger, so the younger you start the better the effect, but it can also drive you crazy.

It was useful to Hua because she got stuck mid-puberty and thanks to that treatment she could sort of finish maturing and become way stronger. Due to the compelling effect it also protected her from the risk of Honkai Cascade or whatever they’re calling it this week. (Need to look at the dictionary of terms again… but you get me.)

However!!

SWARA did in fact drive Hua crazy over time, making her obsess with destroying Honkai to the point of burning down villages and being willing to kill her own adopted daughter. After her brain gets destroyed during the betrayal her SWARA is broken— instead of boosting her, it seems to hold her back, like a busted part in a machine getting caught in everyone’s gears.

As of ch28 she has destroyed whatever remained of it and is now free to grow and move forward naturally again. Considering she has a Herrscher’s body on top of being a Mantis, that’s going to be interesting~

Regarding her new brain state though I suspect that’s HoS’s doing because her memory being perfect was her Mantis trait. But idk maybe the writers forgot? Fenghuang Down was just used to erase or store memories, it didn’t cause the issue, it was a fix. Maybe Senti did that because without Fenghuang Down they’d be fucked.

Tbh I was really confused and iirc we didn’t really get an explicit reason why. Maybe @busghost would know that bit better

Secondly: Here’s Sin Mal’s Name Written in Chinese - 杏玛尔. Since she’s a much bigger character in Houkai Gakuen 2 most of the content you find for her will be from that game. Searching her Chinese name will lead to a lot more content.

Another tip is to check MiHoYo’s Weibo and Official Forum for Houkai Gakuen.

vewixa, busghost and I are trying to make the hi3 fandom bigger! and so! we will inundate the hi3 tags with low effort high quantity stuff so we can rope other people into it too!

Here’s my first ever fic! ever! in my entire life!

HimeHua Adventure AU 

"Fu Hua, are you done with preparations yet?" Himeko asks, setting down her bag filled with enough supplies to last them a week in the wilderness. She puts it beside the desk where her partner is sitting.

They were to set off on a new quest from the St. Freya Guild and had spent the entire afternoon each making their own preparations for tomorrow's journey.

"I am already done," Fu Hua pats her bag on the other side of the desk. 

"Just looking over the notes I have of the rookie team we will be observing for their rank up exam." Fu Hua pushes up her glasses then proceeds to put away her small notebook in her robe's inner pocket.

"They seem to have potential. I can see them rising up the ranks of the guild in no time."

"Oho?" Himeko grins as she leans on the wall. "Says the A rank adventurer who just entered the doors of St. Freya fresh-faced a year and a half ago. That's quite an endorsement for those three darlings."

Fu Hua just smiles slightly, standing up. "If I remember correctly, I didn't so much enter as got dragged in by a certain red-head adventurer who picked me up from some back alley. My dirty face wasn't so fresh either."

Said red-head adventurer chuckles while waving her hand, "Details, details! Now are we gonna grab some dinner or are we going down the entire length of memory lane?"

"Yes, let's have a hearty meal at Yae Restaurant. It will be my treat this time." As a small thank-you for teaching this A rank adventurer all she knows, Fu Hua continued silently in her head.

Himeko straightens up the moment she hears 'Yae Restaurant'.

"I'll take this chance to eat some gourmet food before we go one week without it!"

And she rushes out of the room. 

"Hurry up, girl!" Her voice trailing away.

Fu Hua follows shortly after checking that she has enough money in her pouch, grinning all the while.
