:0 I'm pleasantly surprised to see someone request my ocs! I do have ocs for both but I'll go with Demon Slayer for this (I have two more I didn't include here because they're not too developed yet) and I'll talk about the others another time. ✧Igarashi, Ohta — Breath of Glass✧

Like many other people in this world, Ohta has lost people close to her and has seen the lives of others being taken. Everything in her life was going to be perfect but it all shattered under the force of those who destroy lives. Since then, Ohta has shut her heart away in fear of being hurt again. Though, that all changes once she meets you. She denies her feelings in the beginning. All good things come to an abrupt end for her, so it would hurt all the worse if she were to indulge in what her heart wants.

What gets her to give in is the realization that now... Now she knows how to protect. Ohta laughed at the irony of it all; she was seen to be wedded by someone who would love and protect her (unfortunately his life was taken by demons), but now she is the one who will defend you from the dangers of the world. On that day, she vowed to devote her time in keeping you safe for she loves you so much. Even if you aren't aware of her presence due to how nervous she becomes when approaching you.

It gets to a point where she gets extremely controlling since she takes this as a heavy responsibility. What else is she if she can't do anything for you? If you were a fellow demon slayer, she refuses to leave you alone on missions. Practically demands to be partnered up with you for every one. In some sense, she does see you as someone who is unable to protect themself at all, much like Rengoku. Refusing her sends her into an unhealthy spiral as she resorts to guilt tripping methods. Why won't you let her do this for you? Do you see her as worthless? She can't bear to see you die! She wants to live by your side and start a family!

✧Gushiken, Tetsurō — Breath of Metal✧

Tetsurō is deemed as perfect husband material by many in his village, even Ohta's parents agreed! Hardworking, good cook, kind smile, and a fighting spirit. What they don't know is the growing possessiveness he feels when with you. He is a realistic man and knows not everything in life can go the way he wants. However... Just this once he will defy such views in favor of having you all to himself. Tetsurō doesn't like to be arrogant, but he does have the need to brag to himself about how his accomplishments and amazing personality could be the perfect way to draw you in. No one could compare.

Though that doesn't mean he does not possess any... Undesirable traits. Insecurities brings out jealous tendencies. People who are getting too comfortable around you are faced with passive aggressive comments. Especially if they are of higher position. He just isn't very fond of those who like to step over those who are 'beneath' them. It brings bad memories, plus, he'd hate to see you be tainted by their ugly views.

If anyone were to try and voice their concern over his behavior... No one would really believe them. Tetsurō, who has done nothing but good in both assisting those in need and protecting others from demons, threatening a life? No. That's not him. Also, do not get me started on how sadistic this man can get when he's really pushed past his limits of patience.

✧Kurosawa, Rōnin — Breath of Ashes✧

He's an odd one for sure. Everytime he speaks seems to be pure monologue as if he were playing a character in a play/book. Calling himself someone who rose from the ashes of the flames before him and demons the absolute evil he must vanquish. You wouldn't be able to tell if he was a yandere or not, which makes things all the more worse. You'd never see it coming.

Rōnin is delusional when he notices his feelings towards you and immediately seeks out ways to express them. Following and watching at night are just his way of showing you. No one will harm you! He fully believes you'll fall for him just as he did for you. Why wouldn't you? He's seen the way you are. You wouldn't be so cruel as to push him to the side and leave him to being alone once again... Right? He's brave. Strong. Helpful. Amazing. Skilled. What more could a partner ask? Any demon or human who even thinks of approaching you with less than good intentions will have to face his wrath. Either by having them choke on ashes or tear them apart even without his nichirin sword. Oh, the irony of him wanting to purge the evil that is demons when he himself has become what he swore to destroy.

But... You'd love him, right? You stuck around even with his eccentric personality. So this discovery shouldn't be an issue if you were unbothered by him.

Werner Adler, Nosferatu residing in San Francisco, Embraced in 1970 in his mid 30s.

1. Werner is pretty chill most of the time, more than angry he gets frustrated from not being satisfied with his writing or when he says something that makes complete sense, yet the other person still fails to acknowledge it, especially when it is about something important.

2. I think he never believed in soulmates, until he met Leslie. Now when she is gone, a part of him is gone too.

3. His pet peeves: When people call themselves stupid or speak about themselves in a degrading way, especially women and children. Also when he sees grammar mistakes like they're/their, etc.

4. Unfortunately, what used to be his happy place now brings him a lot of pain, so he rarely allows his thoughts to venture there. When Leslie was still alive and he thought she was living a happy, fulfilled life somewhere, he often thought about their life together.

5. He has suffered from depression since his teens, but his happiest time was when Leslie said yes to his clumsy proposal, they got married and were planning their future together. Despite his coming and going depression and some bad days, she made him very happy.

6. His least happy time: Finding out that Leslie was dead, running to the hospital morgue and seeing and holding her lifeless body in his arms.

7. I think he is neither. He would sit at the bar minding his own business.

8. As a mortal, he never had any serious physical injuries (mainly because he was at home most of the time) As a vampire he got his wrist broken by the Gangrel who had found him after the Embrace, Werner didn't understand anything and wanted to just run away.

9. He doesn't really remember his Embrace as he was passed out sleeping, so the Embrace itself isn't a traumatic experience for him. There is a lot he would rather forget during his Kindred existence, but nothing tops his desperate attempt of Embracing Leslie's dead body.

10. His childhood wasn't exactly filled with many good memories. His parents argued a lot and it ended up in divorce that left him living with his quite overprotective mother. His fav memory would probably be time he spent hanging out with his best friend, a neighbor kid Mike.

11. Honestly, no, he doesn't have a type. He was seriously in love only with Leslie. They had a connection right away as she as an artist understood his need to be sometimes left alone with his writing and at the same time possessed quite a different, more positive outlook in life.

12. A pen that he bought from his first salary. Lucky for him, he was able to keep it even after his Embrace. Also his and Leslie's wedding rings and her journal that he stole after sneaking into her husband's hotel room and going through her things.

13. +14. No tattoos or piercings, even if he wasn't a Kindred/Nosferatu he wouldn't even consider it. He is quite old school, he doesn't really like them.

15. He had his dream house already. Not long before he got Embraced, he and Leslie had bought a house in a small town in Maine. It wasn't much, but they had so many plans for the garden and for the kid's rooms.

16. I think others, especially Kindred of other clans wouldn't probably expect him to be so well-mannered, gentle and well-spoken considering his dishevelled, unclean looks. He just sees no point in showering or caring for his look when he isn't really socializing with anyone anyway.

17. He is very thoughtful when it comes to gifts. He is that kind of person that would give you a present out of the blue, just because he would see something that he thinks you would enjoy.

18. He has a love-hate relationship with his writing. Some days he thinks he is really good at capturing the right mood with his words, other days he is questioning his writing skills and if he should even continue. He isn't proud of anything that he does, unfortunately.

19. A stranger would probably describe him as a sad man who desperately needs a bath and new clothes.

20. A close friend (Kayley) would describe him as kind & caring, but broken man who is trying his best and tries to do the right things.

21. He actually isn't concerned about his looks at all, he didn't care much about his looks even when he looked normal. His biggest insecurity is fear that somehow deep inside he is a bad person and that he somehow deserves what happened.

22. Physical: dexterity, non-physical: Intelligence.

23. If he knew that the lie was for his own good, he would actually appreciate the thought. If it was a lie to spare him from fear (I am looking at you Kayley) he would get upset at the sheer irresponsibility and the harm that could have happened and you would be in for a lecture.

24. He doesn't care much for the weather when he's spending most of his nights alone in his sewer haven, but he finds rainy nights inspiring and accurate to his own feelings of despair. He sometimes goes to the cemetery when it pours, stands in the rain and allows himself to cry.

25. He has no problems saying I love you to the people that he cares about when it feels right and appropriate to the situation. Though he usually never says it first, but more as a response :)

26. He doesn't like to talk about his worries - like when he was a mortal he really didn't like to talk about his fear of not having enough skill to make it as a writer, as he felt like he was failing Leslie to not make enough money for them to be able to raise a family.

27. He murdered a man that was a threat to Kayley and Jane. He really thought that there wasn't another way, but he sent the children away while he did it, so they didn't have to see. He was on the verge of frenzy and part of him could justify the murder as the man was a scumbag.

28. He isn't ticklish, but he would probably try to stop you tickling him anyway.

29. As a mortal, he had pretty low pain tolerance, but as a Nosferatu and after Leslie's death he realized that any amount of physical pain was nothing compared to the crippling pain and guilt that he feels inside everytime his mind slips and he thinks about what happened.

30. He wishes he had the courage to walk up to Kyle (Leslie's then husband) and tell him that he was sorry, that he was weak, selfish and negligent and that it was his fault that Kyle lost his wife and his unborn child. But of course, he never did it, and now Kyle is an old man.

31. Messy: feeding is a very stressful ordeal for him, he only feeds on the homeless men from his herd and he gives them money for it. It's always a terrible time for him, it takes him a while to actually bite down and then he wants to be done with it as soon as possible.

32. When 14 yo Kayley made him bite her after she found out the truth about what he was and she wanted a proof that it didn’t hurt when he fed on people, despite him reassuring her it didn’t. He was deeply hurt by this request, but he forgave her, he realized she was just a curious child, she didn't know how much pain this was causing him.

33. When Leslie found him and despite seeing how he changed, she still told him she loved him and was willing to stay with him. And maybe even more when they had met a few years later and despite the time, he could still see love for him in her eyes like nothing had changed…

34. Hard choice between vision & touch. Both would hinder his ability to write and that is that is the only thing that keeps him somehow sane. Well, together with caring for Kayley, but as she is growing older it is better she sees less of him and has a normal life.

35. He can hold on small talks pretty well,it's actually the only kind of talk he is willing to have with other Kindred after Leslie's death. Mirabelle especially noticed the change in his behavior, but she understands that they weren't really friends and she has no right to pry.

36. He would ask Leslie if she can forgive him for what happened to her and her unborn child. But the truth also is that he is absolutely terrified at the idea as he fears that the truth is that wherever she is, she hates him.

37. The past-so he would have never traveled to San Francisco, or at least he would have traveled to the night when Leslie came to him and this time he would be stronger and pushed her away, not letting her touch him... The future is pointless, there is nothing left there for him.

38. Positive - Leslie made him feel understood, Kayley - gave him some will to live back, Jane - made him feel like he made a difference in her life by persuading her to own her mistakes.

Negative - His Sire who made him question why he deserved this fate for his kindness.

39. He was used to live alone, then he met Leslie and then he was alone again. He was always a solitary person, so the solitude and isolation actually didn't even bother him after the Embrace.

40. The worst had already happened to him, so for a time there wasn't really anything that would make him terrified. But then he met Kayley and of course he fears for her safety as he feels responsible for her. He's afraid that her compassion will one day cost her her life.

Issei Sagawa

“Sometimes I wonder why I did such a horrible thing. Maybe it’s because I come from another planet, or another dimension and accidentally fell to Earth like a meteorite, disguised as a baby crying on the street. My mother walked by and took pity on me. I must have come from a place of cannibals, and I’m the only one of my kind who exists on this planet.”

Good afternoon, everyone who takes the time to read this!

Today, I have the very displeasure of telling you about one of the most.. bizarre human beings I have ever read about.

I have been interested in true crime ever since I could remember. My father is really interested in it as well, so growing up there were always books laying around about the worst of the worst kind of people. Even to this day, my dad and I share stories we heard or a new podcast we listened to or swap books; it’s real fun.  And when you are heavily interested in true crime, you hear and see so many similar stories. This person had an abusive childhood and became a serial killer, this person was not longer interested in being a family man so he killed his whole family and moved away to start a new life, this person was strung out on drugs, this person caught her husband cheating on her and stabbed him as a crime of passion, etc. And while I am not downplaying or excusing these murders AT ALL, because no one should be murdered, I do find myself skipping stories like that. They don’t check my boxes.

Cannibals check my box.  And I have, admittedly, unconsciously, been surrounding myself with cannibalistic aspects. I just finished (another) three part podcast about Jeffrey Dahmer, I’m reading My Friend Dahmer, and watching Attack on Titan like my life depends on it. (Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga series turned into a long running anime about three conjoined towns who are constantly being attacked and eaten by the HUGE human-like zombie creatures, but that is for another day.)

Have I rambled enough? Yes. Yes, I think so. Let’s get into ittttt.

Issei Sagawa, known as Pang or The Kobe Cannibal, was born on April 26th, 1949 in Kobe, Japan to a very wealthy family. Issei has said himself that his childhood was the happiest time of his life and he was a carefree child. He said his parents love him deeply. One thing to note about Issei is that he was born prematurely (and he looks.. off) and doctors did not think he would survive. Issei said because of this, he has always seen himself as an undesirable person. So, instead of friends, Issei had books! Because his family was so wealthy, Issei was afforded an incredible education and was able to travel all over the world and learn about music, art, literature, etc.  He was very interested in art. This will come back around later.

So how does a rich, seemingly normal, intelligent child become a cannibal?  Issei contributes a few things to this: *Issei said his first cannibalistic urge happened when he was in first grade and saw a fellow classmate’s thighs. *Issei said sex was a taboo subject around his household. He said when he had reached a certain age, he began having erections, like all boys do, but he thought he was sick and was too embarrassed to tell anyone. He didn’t know how to relieve himself at this time.. soooo. He, uh, got help from his dog.  Yeah. Yeeeah. (I watched an interview he did with Vice about ten years ago, which I will link below, and watching him describe this so nonchalantly made me the most uncomfortable. Actually, he is nonchalant the entire interview and it’s so disturbing and uncomfy. At one point he says, “I think my sexual desires began to distort around that time.”  Yeah, I would say so, buddy.) *Issei said he would have a reoccurring dream where he and his brother were being boiled in a large pot to be eaten. Issei said he flipped the script and began to fantasize about what it would be like to eat someone. As with most premeditated killers, his fantasies escalated from curiosity to behavior. *Issei was obsessed with western women. He said they are tall and beautiful and he has described himself as a “weak, ugly, and small man”. In an interview after what he keeps calling an “incident”, Issei claimed one of the reasons he consumed human flesh was to “absorb her energy”. 

Issei said he did practice a good amount of restraint for his cannibalistic urges until his college years. While attending Wako University in Tokyo, Issei said he saw a beautiful, blonde, German woman walking by and he was “dazzled by her white thighs”.  One day, he broke into this woman’s apartment on the ground floor. He said his plan was to hit her in the head with an umbrella so he could get a knife from her kitchen and cut into her buttocks and eat it. He was extremely hesitant and his knees accidentally brushed against her stomach, waking her up. She screamed and Issei fled. Police charged him with attempted rape.  Issei said he did explain to psychiatrists about his sexual urges but they didn’t consider it cannibalism and let him go. 

After this, Akira (his father) sent Issei to study comparative literature at Sorbonne University in France in 1981. In the interview, as Issei is recalling this, he said his mother had the an extremely sad look on her face the day he was leaving, “like she knew something horrible was going to happen”. (I could think of a reason why.)

Issei had not forgotten about how close he had gotten to fulfilling his fantasy of eating a European woman back in Tokyo. He was convinced if he was more prepared he could follow through with it flawlessly. He said when he moved to France, he would bring home a sex worker almost every night, but everytime he tried to shoot her, his fingers would freeze. While studying at Sorbonne University, Issei set his eyes on 25-year old Dutch student, Renée Hartevelt. Issei said Renée was so beautiful and he had never seen anyone like her before. (She really was stunning and looked like such a sweet person.) He also said he didn’t want to get caught staring at her, so he began making sketches of her.  From what I read, and I do not know how accurate this is, the two started as friends and eventually Issei began to pursue Renée romantically. He would take her on dates to art museums and dinner. When he confessed his feelings for her, she insisted they just remain friends because she was not sexually attracted to him.  So Issei lied to Renée and told her his professor wanted him to record some German poetry. Renée didn’t think anything about helping out a fellow classmate, so she was happy to come over and help.  Issei said he picked out the poem she read, and as she was reading the poem out loud at his desk, he pulled a rifle out of a closet and shot her in the neck. He said she kept reciting the poem after he shot her, then she just.. stopped. Issei said he fainted after he shot her and when he came to he almost called an ambulance for her, but he knew he would regret it if he lost this opportunity to act out his fantasies.

I am going to quote Issei verbatim from his interview with Vice.

TRIGGER WARNING

“I lied to her that my professor wanted some German poetry recorded. That was the pretext. She didn’t doubt a thing. I chose the poetry. I reached for the gun while she was reading. I was talking to her with a smile on my face. I was really scared. Yet I did pull the trigger. She... kept on talking... until suddenly she fell silent. First she collapsed onto the desk, then fell to the ground with the chair. I laid a towel under her head then undressed her. I had everything planned out in my head from which part i would start feasting on and such. Starting with her ass. I thought it looked the most delicious. It had to be the right cheek, not the left. The left cheek is closer to the heart and I’m scared of blood. I abruptly bit into it, but it was too hard to bite into. It hurt my jaw. I tried cutting in with a fruit knife but it didn’t go through. I gave up and went to the market. I bought a curved meat knife. Finally it went through the flesh. I thought I’d see red meat right away, but there was a yellow corn-like substance, which I later found out was fat. I had to cut deeply to reach the red meat. I don’t remember if I sliced it off, or tore it off with my fingers. I put most of my favorite parts, like the thighs, in the fridge.”

He’s leaving out a lot of details on this.. right after he shot Renée, he had sex with her corpse. And, like I said before, he is so nonchalant about all of this. He ate a LOT of her. I saw a picture of eleven paper plates loaded with human flesh, muscles, and fat. Both of her breasts, her nose, her tongue, her bottom lip, and most of her lower half (her hips, middle of her stomach, and thighs) was missing. He did say he tried to eat her breast, but it was mostly fat and he didn’t enjoy it. Her buttocks, however, “(It) melted in my mouth like raw tuna in a sushi restaurant.” He continued to try different parts of Renée’s body. He would fry pieces of her and eat other parts with mustard. He even decapitated her. He took pictures of Renée’s mutilated body and would have sex with it while listening to the recording of her reading the German poem.

For four days.

He mentioned how June is the hottest month in Paris and he was worried the body would start to rot. So he took Renée’s body to the bathroom and cut her up so he could get rid of it. (He also mentioned after finishing his graduate program, he wanted to go to Greece. He said he took a big luxurious boat and actually shared a table with a butcher and his wife during dinner. He said the butcher was a fat, jolly man and told him how to butcher meat. Issei wrote a letter to the butcher after “the incident” thanking him. He said the butcher never wrote back.)

One he had cut the body up into pieces, he placed the pieces into two suitcases and, made plans to dump the body in a lake in Bois de Boulogne, called in a cab.  “It wasn’t easy getting the body into [the suitcases]. The torso is extremely heavy. It’s really hard to cut to begin with. It’s nothing like a horror movie.” When the cab driver picked up Issei’s suitcases to put them in the cab, he asked Issei if he had a dead body in them. (That tidbit made me really sad.)

Once Issei reached the lake, he pushed the suitcases down the slope. He vastly underestimated how light it still was outside at 8 pm. He said several people were sunbathing still. The sun was setting across the lake, and Issei said for the first time, he saw color. He was fascinated watching a young boy and his grandfather at the top of a hill and while he was distracted, another man came up, opened one of the suitcases, and saw a bloody bedsheet with legs wrapped in it. A woman screamed and someone else yelled, “Murderer!”  Issei said he just walked away.

Issei was, of course, arrested. He was interrogated by three psychiatrists who deemed him mentally insane. Issei was sent to a criminal psych ward, but before he could even begin treatment, he was deported back to Japan because the French people were very uncomfortable with him being there at their expense.  Once Issei arrived back in Japan, he mentioned the hospital he was staying at didn’t conclude that he was mentally ill, just that he had a personality disorder. Issei was forced to leave the hospital without undergoing any treatment. He did not serve any time in prison for ungodly crimes he had committed.  Actually, in a weird turn of events, he became a local celebrity. He became an author, had several interviews, has illustrated mangas (that’s why I mentioned he loves art), made porn, and was even a food critic. He even travelled to Canada, Mexico, and Iceland with two friends of him. I don’t have time to cover all of that because that in itself could be a whole other essay, but like I said, I will link the YouTube video I watched below.

And that is the gruesome, awful, gut wrenching story of Issei Sagawa.

though its not that you didn’t like working in the fields bc you loved helping out with the animals and occasionally give food to those who were less fortunate than you and really couldn’t afford it

you had finished your tasks early, and had struggled, and i mean stRuGgLed to get away from your father

he was in one of his moods today, shouting at everyone and refusing to admit he needed help

it was a constant reminder of every bad thing every failure that could happen in your life every thing you didn’t want for yourself or your mum who had slowly been getting sick and y’all had some money that could have helped her but your father thought that she deserved the illness

and i quote he said “everything happens for a reason child, if your mother had treated me and had been a good person this wouldn’t have happened to her, but alas some people deserve what they get”

he continued to say how “i on the other hand, have been a good man all my life, have always helped others so i don’t get sick”

this man i swear to god this has actually happened help

being very much done with your father who you really wished would just disappear and leave you and your mom who no longer lived with you but now lived with lilith to be

you had thought of running away for a very long time, though never knew how to get off the island it seemed impossible

sure you knew how to fight, somewhat by watching the guards and the little training mark you had taught your two years ago. 

missing mark hours but it wouldn’t compare to the guards of the royals who would never aid you

and even if they had, you had never learned how to sail which was ironic as the island you lived in wasn’t very large. Your only method of transportation has been your legs and your families faithful horse lethian ?? who really was your favorite out of all the animals 

running away from the trapped life had always felt like a dream, one that you had lived for for the small year in london with mark

you thought about running away again, the idea of sneaking into a trading boat slowly forming in your mind

you could take her your mum and lilith and travel the world go to london again and paris and canada and re-unite with the friend you missed the most

a smile had formed on your previous grim face, the dream something you held onto until your eyes opened and smoke covered the sky

a ringing began in your ears and you tried to stop it, your hands covering your ears in an attempt to stop the noise but the ringing only got stronger

the sky was black, shots were heard were the village people yelled in panic

you looked out towards the sea and could see the outline of a ship

a very large ship

oh shit 

a pirate ship

the flag blew proudly in the boat and from where you stood the bone white skull that contrasted against the black around it was made visible everytime the wind blew 

you gasped, everything anyone had told you about pirates were that they weren’t to be trusted

they were ruthless and would do nothing to stop from getting what they wanted

the stories you'd heard all came to the same conclusion you see the flag you run in the other direction

you pace quickened and in small time you were running towards the blazing village now up in smokes fire and fog covering the bakery, and fields

the school that had taught you the basics of reading and writing until girls weren’t allowed to attend was a blaze royal guards their black and purple uniforms waved their hands around and pointed their too heavy too unbalanced swords not being of much use

mom 

she should be safe

safe with lilith you thought, looking back towards were the small castle stood its bold flag still flying proudly in the grey and black sky

safe , shes safe you keep telling yourself a constant buzz that you repeated over and over to yourself in order to continue moving towards the castle walls

you only lasted a solid five minutes before the guards were holding the civilians back

you sighed angry these idiots being more preoccupied with holding back the citizens who were trying to get to safety behind the castle walls than actually dealing with the threat at hand

who hired them really??

being the stubborn human you are you decided to head towards the back entrance as yuo saw a flash of blonde hair headin towards the back gate of the castle 

oh no was your immediate thought their gonna get to lilith and mum

all the guards had been directed out of castle except a few that had stayed inside to keep the royal fam safe the infirmary had been left unguarded

you looked around trying to look for a familiar face, a familiar guard who youd seen at a practice lilith had dragged you too she had said it was too “admire suitors” you had shaken your head and laughed 

you had no interest in tying yourself to a man that would treat you like something to throw around but you let her revel in her fantasies 

no familiar face was found so you turned and ran towards the blonde head you had seen walk towards the back entrance grabbing a sword from one of the dead guards 

your cursed the clothes women were given making it impossible to run in impossible to fight in 

the blonde boy turned around at your approach, he was young you noticed

probably your age, his grin was deviant and his eyes were mocking as she approached 

“please” you tried “don’t hurt hurt anyone else” 

the boy looked at you with a puzzled look at laughed, slashing away at the thorns and vines that encircled the back door to the castle as he found the lock and tried to break it open

you got closer, looking at the broken glass bottles that littered the floor and torches that lit up the fogged street 

the boy was too busy with the look to realize the girl that had come behind him and hit him in the back of the head with the swords dull pommel the boy let put a yelp before collapsing at your feet

your small victory lasted a small time and before you noticed the boy you had tied with the thorns and vines from the door, which continued to be locked 

your mum and lilith as far as you knew safe

began to stir and as his eyes opened another boy appeared at the end of the alley

his hair seemed to be part of the night sky, falling over his dark eyes. 

“mark!” the black haired boy cried, his hand at his scimitar pointed directed towards you his other hand had managed to slip a dagger out of god knows where and sliced mark’s binds

mark the name sent a shock through you and you took a closer look at the young boy whose eyes were now wide open no anger shown

 but instead amusement and the joyous spark you had once known

he looked so different 

the black haired boy still had a sword at your throat and you swallowed briefly 

“mark?” you gasped feeling the tip of the sword against your neck a small movement and it would nick your skin, blood would swell

‘Mark’ looked at you again and laughed, 

the black haired boy looked confused “let her go jeno” 

jeno was like ‘excuse me ? she knocked you unconscious no i'm not doing that’ he didn't say it but mark understood and laughed again this time it was more mischievous a feral grin adorned his features

“let her go, she’s coming with us” jeno and you were both like huh? has this boy gone mad?

“umm no im not” you snapped at the boy you once knew, you glared at jeno who had regrettably removed his sword away from your neck but had placed the dagger threateningly close to your back ashe forced you to move along

you didn’t get an answer from mark who still seemed very entertained by the whole situation

he had changed so much since you’d last seen him *sigh*

you three walked back towards the village and you hadn’t realized how the screams of pain and fear were no longer heard

more than a few guards littered the floors and you tried not to gasp as jeno forcefully continued to move you towards the sea its waters black 

the walk to the pirate boat seemed to last ages, the sun had begun to set in the sky casting dark purple and red shadows above the black water that didn’t reflect any light. It broke your heart to see the usually clear water be black, the animals that lived in the waters probably struggling to survive.

when you finally arrived, the panic began to settle in again. you didn’t know if your mum and lilith were safe, you didn’t know what would happen and the boy you knew two years ago had changed so much that you could no longer read what he was thinking 

the ship loomed in front of you, you hear the small buzz of chatter from the ship and laughter

why was there laughter in such a horrible place ??

“Come on” mark said, already walking getting onto the ship, not looking back at the mess they had left behind

You no longer felt the sharp prick of a dagger or sword at your back, but instead it had been replaced by a strong hand guiding you towards the ship

the contact startled you, and you straightened and continued to walk forward the ship only a few feet away, you still held onto the rock that you had hit mark with, your sword taken away by jeno

you forced your feet to stop moving, because one more step and you’d be on the pirate’s boat, and ducked, and made a weak attempt at attacking the black haired boy behind you hitting him with the small rock you had on the leg

you begin to move away from the boat. The victory lasted a solid second before jeno had his arms around you, pinning your hands behind your back. No longer smiling, or understanding in his dark eyes. you glared at him and then at mark who had finally turned around, a sort of sadness passed over his features before he spoke

“you can’t run away y/n” he said calmly. “remember in london? when you dream about running away, leaving this island and  exploring the world? away from your father?”

his words shocked you, but you didn’t want to leave your mum she had no one else 

“i can’t just leave mark !! my mum, she’s still there and i can’t just leave her with father” a look of recognition and understanding flitted through jeno’s face and reflected in mark

“i know, i know but if you stay here and go back” the boy shook his head, the dark of the night making his blonde hair a dull light in the fog, 

you knew, that in many ways he was right. if you did go back the villagers had seen you with the pirates, being taken by them as the village had burned down and you weren't scared. the worst scenario would be that if you did go back they would imprison you, ask you for information 

hurt mum, hurt lilith even is she was part of the royals

you felt the tears well up in your eyes, and refused to let them fall

“we aren’t all that bad” peeped jeno’s voice who had softened again, until you looked at him and his gaze hardened

you forced yourself a small smile, and placed your foot on the board of the boat 

“Let’s go swashbucklers” you said, 

after all, the stories you’d heard had come from your father, and all his stories were a lie.

Analysis the relationship of Cassunzel 2

Hi there. It’s my third article of Tangled the Series and it’s a follow-up for my last article.

Rapunzel

As I mentioned Cassandra, it's impossible for me not to mention Rapunzel.

So, let's start with how they met. In the novel, Rapunzel met Cassandra because she was sketching and Cassandra was training at the same time in a open place near the castle. 

Rapunzel was cited by Cassandra because she's unlike the other girls. After leaving the tower and the 18 years, Rapunzel felt she's missing something and she wanted to fill the empty and a girl appeared in front of her. She's Cassandra.

She's so happy and excited about being friends with Cassandra, so she always tried get chances to hanging out with Cass after they first met. 

Rapunzel was trapped in the tower for 18 years, she didn't know a lot of common sense of conduct. She didn't know how to act like a princess, how to manage with different people.

Rapunzel needed someone to lead her into the society, and Cassandra, as a handmaiden, would be the one.

Why isn't that one Eugene？That's a simple question. As Eugene has been a thief for many years, he doesn't really have the sense of being a royal, it's also a hard topic for him to turn over a new leaf and socially reintegrated. That's why Cassandra would be the bridge to connect Rapunzel and Eugene with the society.

Cassandra was the first one other than Eugene to show Rapunzel the world.

Actually, Rapunzel felt their relationship would go on. She and Cass were very good friends. But when times goes, their problems started to emerge. 

Cassandra felt she has been overlooked but Rapunzel can't notice it. She thought they'd getting well. And she can't notice the change of their relationship.

She and Cass have been together for years and not doubt that they were good friends. After all this years they spent, their relationship should be strengthened and that's why the betray of Cassandra was such a slam for Rapunzel.

It's the third time of betrayals for Rapunzel, a people she trusted and loved. She wants Cassandra back. It's like a mix version of the betrayals from Gothel and Varian, isn't it？

Gothel was the one Rapunzel ever trusted and loved, but she never want her back ; Varian is a new friend for Rapunzel (compared with Cass and Gothel) and Rapunzel wanted him back.

We could see lots of scenes about Rapunzel doesn't want to lose Cassandra, even now Rapunzel still call Cassandra as "Cass".

So we could feel how sting is it when Cassandra stops calling Rapunzel "Raps" and called her as "Blonde", a name came from Eugene, the other one Rapunzel loves to satirize Rapunzel and to keep the sense of alienation. I have to say, that was a strong move.

We could also see Cassandra are trying to tell Rapunzel that they are different.  As she knew that Rapunzel doesn't notice it.

But is Rapunzel really unable to notice that？In the episode " Rapunzel and the great tree", we could find the scene of Cass called Rapunzel as "your highness". And Rapunzel realized her and Cassandra's identities.

But, is that so？We could also see Rapunzel knew their differences when they're first met although she wanted Cass call her name.

Although Rapunzel doesn't shows to know their differences, we could see she actually had a strong awareness of being a royal, she was trying very hard. So, would it possible that Rapunzel just tried to ignore it but from the bottom of her heart, she knew it all along？What if she just pretend to not notice it？

Well, Rapunzel wants an actual friend and no matter what their positions are. She wants to treat everyone she loved equality. She doesn't want her identity as a princess would has any burden on their relationship.

However, the wall always here. She forgot it sometimes and Cassandra reminded her again. Not only Rapunzel's behavior but also the difference between Cass and Raps.

In season one, "The challenge of the Brave", Cassandra told Rapunzel there's always a distance between them ; in beginning of season 3, Cassandra told Rapunzel that they're different ; in the episode "Cassandra's revenge " , she kept the distance from Rapunzel.

It's like Cassandra is now forcing Rapunzel to get a clear understanding of the gap between them, even Rapunzel doesn't want it.

Rapunzel has lots of things to concern about, her destiny, her kingdom, her future......And that pulled her mind away.

Rapunzel is sharer, she loves to share her happiness and everything interesting. However, she never proactively share her negative feelings. Sometimes, she would pretend she's fine.

In the episode "Freebird" she looked just fine until she and Cass being catch, and to reply Cass, she talked about her fear to the unknown of her destiny.

In the episode "Keeper of the Spire", she was still pretending to not being annoyed to Calliope.

In the episode "Be very afraid ", people were surprised to the red rocks didn't had any effect on Rapunzel. But the truth is, she saw the fall of Corona, destroyed by the black rocks and as she said,

 “And you know what the weird part is? What I’m most afraid of is losing Cassandra as a friend. Forever.” 

Remember what Rapunzel said to Varian before？I'm quite sure she's also trying to tell herself too.

Yet, we could see she has been changed a bit after the left of Cassandra.

She started willing to show a little more her negative feelings, like the episode "The Lost Treasure of Herz Der Sonne" and “The King and Queen of Hearts",etc. Or maybe I should say, she's changed ,not as soft as she used to be. She started to show her annoyed, becoming more "edgy". I mean, she could also make mischief very well now and that's a good change for her.

I believe that is what Rapunzel learned from Cassandra. But Cassandra is left, it seems like she started to replace the edgy girl role of Cassandra.

In a scene of "The Girl Who Has Everything", we could see, Rapunzel drew everywhere in her room to show that she has everything, but except one place. She left a blank on her wall, which is really odd. If she was trying to tell people that she has everything by painting she shouldn't leave a blank area on her drawing. 

Then there's only one reason, this scene is trying tell us that she wasn't the girl who has everything and I believe she knew it deep down, and she was trying to ignore the empty part on the wall, so as her heart.

As Cassandra is the one who filled the empty space of Rapunzel after being trapped in the tower for 18 years, the empty appeared again after Cass left and Rapunzel was trying to ignore the emptiness once again. At the end of "Cassandra's revenge", she knew she couldn't refuse to acknowledge it anymore.

That's why Rapunzel has a very complicated feeling about meeting Cass again, she wants her back to her life but fear to unearth her emptiness and the possibility of losing Cass.

Rapunzel and Cassandra are like the opposite girl to each other, one of them is the sun,  another one is the moon ; one of them is soft, another is edgy ; one of them is an optimistic person, another one is a pessimistic person. They're so different but they become best friends, something special gained between them. They looked so different but their have some point so similar, they don't love to talk about their negative feelings, they're the first female friend to each other. Or maybe, just because they are so different from each other, they're so attractive to each other.

Perhaps the dependence of Rapunzel on Cassandra is not that obvious, she doesn't want Cass to leave and it's not only because of they're friends, but also because she afraid of losing something again.

First, she lost her real parents when she was a baby. Second, she lost a mother（Gothel ） she thought she could trust and loved. Third, she almost lost Eugene. And finally, she might have lost Cassandra as a friend again. She afraid, she afraid of losing someone she loved again and that's why she doesn't want to let go of Cassandra in the novel. Everytime of someone left is a bad memory, painful and obsessive for Rapunzel. 

If Cassandra will leave Corona at the end, this time, their separation would be by their faith. Rapunzel is about to understand letting Cassandra go doesn't really mean the end of their relationship. Even she still hate to let Cass go, everything is going to be fine,  she is fine. Because she knows they will meet again some time in the future.

Maybe Cassandra couldn't be the one staying besides Rapunzel forever, both of them have been changed because they knew each other and their experiences would become the treasure of their life and a milestone of their growth. It would never disappear easily.

Cassunzel

If New Dreams is a Fairytale style Love Story, Cassunzel would be a ordinary but true relationship that we could see in the real life.

They didn't start with a dramatic haphazard. Their relationship could be start with a frail reason, they could be so different from each others, they could be not mature enough on their relationship, their spending times and using their heart to keep their relationship. Very similar to the first love or puppy love, passionate but immature.

They could quarrel together, laugh together, misunderstanding. They helped each others to grow, to become a better person. Even there's one day, they aren't as passionate as they used to, they become more mature than they used to be, their sign would stay with each others forever. And their memories would treasured even years gone.  

I don’t know if there are more follow-up article, but I would probably continue if I got new ideas. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

2x03 - The Dark Night

I'm actually surprised this recap came out faster than I thought it would, that's rare but I'm glad, also this episode is a fun one, or rather that's how I remember it.

Anyway, as usual recap under the cut:

Thoughts I had while watching the episode:

I know AC is a thing but it's kind of weird to have GG voice over be like: the last days of summer and the heat... and then there's this shot of Chuck drinking scotch in pajamas that look more suited for fall/winter

So I guess we're still on the Dan and Serena can't keep their hands of each other train.

Poor Blair, the Lord ain't into that, gotta love her for mentioning that Atonement scene in the library... she could totally rock that green dress.

Blair a delicate little flower, please. I do like how it's a constant the various fact that all her boyfriends never really got her, and have this fake image of her.

Jenny starring in her own version of the Devil wears prada, slaving it all around NYC

The Nate and the Duchess scene are giving me the creeps.

Compared to her season 1 looks, I'm kind of liking Vanessa's outfits so far.

No one likes to hear the hard truths of life, but Blair's words to Serena about her relationship with Dan were really spot on.

Fun fact about myself: purple is my favorite color. I guess that's why like Chuck's robe even if it makes him look like this weird junior version of Hugh Hefner.

This is the first time we see the minis!!! I loved everytime they popped up like mini cosplayers.

That outfit of Blair is one of my all time faves. Particularly the colors of the skirt

Oh Nate, even if he knows Blair's motives are never pure, he stills accepts her invitation. Go figures.

This has got to be Chuck and Serena's most funny conversation ever. Both of their expressions during the whole thing are hilarious.  

"I don't have a romantic body in my body. Least of all that one" Honestly who came up with these lines 😂😂

Looking back there were many sings of how obsessed Dan was with public opinion and his weird behaviors' for example take this throwaway line from Rufus: he still reading those Dan and Serena should they or not threads. Like what?

Dan: turns out I'm an ass but a passionate minority thinks I'm just and idiot. Yep pretty much the public opinion nowadays too.

This is so one of my fave chair lines! "The thing that always fascinated me about you: the cool exterior, the fire below" 😉

The whole scene honestly, from the way her eyes roll back to his smug smile at the end 🔥🔥🔥

Considering what happens in the second half of this season is kind of interesting to note that so far every single interaction between Blair are Nate is really passive aggressive.

Gotta give it to Vanessa even though she's freaked out after finding out Nate is sleeping with Catherine, she stills gives him a chance to explain

That scene between Catherine and Blair was actually good, because they both are right, Catherine can't stop Nate from doing what he wants, and there are things that Blair can't give up on, even if she thinks so.

Is there an emergency box for Serena Van der Woodsen? Well she lives there douche. But even if there was, what's the problem with that?

The whole Jenny & Eleanor storyline makes me feel lowkey sad for Blair, like this epiaode shouldn't Eleanor be at that party? It was parents/students thing, but Eleanor is at her atelier accepting from Jenny the kind of honest commentary she would never take from Blair

It's almost depressing to see Blair throwing herself at that Marcus guy

Chuck's "fake" accent, except it wasn't 🤭

And finally!!! All that pent up sexual frustration had to went somewhere

I'm living of Serena having moments like this one: "Fine, you know what? Life is not fair because it doesn't fit with the way you, Dan Humphrey, think it should be. But why are you always right?" Because this is it, the real crux of it, and why they keep having the same fight

Im so done with the Marcus storyline, because yes she wants his tittle, but she ain't also wrong because he kept treating her in a way that was so meh. Poor Chuck, though, but then again he kind of puts himself into this situations by ignoring his feelings at first and then they explode in his face anyway

I felt for Vanessa the whole episode, not used to that.

This Dan and Serena break up is so frustrating to watch because basically they're ending because Dan just won't meet her halfway. She's not asking him to give up all his ideals, only that he don't judge her for who she is.

I feel like Vanessa was more understanding to Nate's situation than Dan could have ever been with Serena.

For an episode that started quite sunny and happy it sure had a sad ending. Almost everyone ends up feeling pretty miserable.

This episode was one I remember mostly for that Chuck and Blair scene at that party were he's trying to seduce her, also the whole blockade thing was hilarious, this time around however while I still love those Chuck and Blair bits, I did find myself getting more invested in Nate and Vanessa and even more surprisingly on the argument between Dan and Serena, their break up scene really frustrated me.

Let's go first with the Nate, Catherine and Vanessa storyline. This is such a messed up plot, then again most of Nate’s plot that involved his family had a tendency to be that way. I may not like the details sometimes but what I do like about is how these kind of plots really showed the amount of pressure Nate’s family put on him. At this point in the show Nate’s only seventeen and yet he has to find a way to keep his mom’s head above water, so he falls prey to this woman who is just awful. Is no wonder he wanted to be with Vanessa again because she’s literally a breeze of fresh air, so far removed from his messed up world which is exactly what he needs, and yet is inevitable that she gets caught up in all the scheming and nastiness in the end. She lies to him in order to help him which is sad because help him still leaves him as prey to this woman, but that’s what I really like about this plot, Vanessa’s willingness to be there for Nate and also how understanding she was of the situation.

Vanessa, same as Dan, tends to be judgmental of others and comes from a background that has a more black and white view of morality, she was also raised by a family who despises everything the UES side represents. So imagine what it must have been for her to find out that Nate is sleeping with an older woman for money, that goes against her morals and her beliefs, she’s disgusted by the situation, and yet when Nates begs her to let him explain, she does and she ends up while not exactly approving of the situation, he understands why he’s doing it, and she tells hims that this can only bad for him and that whe should stop it, becaause he’s better than this, and she says it mainly because she in fact is concerned about him and see the best in him. This is why I like her relationship with Nate, because I feel they gave each other some needed perspective, through him she learns that not everything is black and why and that’s there a reason of why people does certain things, and through Vanessa Nate’s gets in touch with a much saner world were he can be himself. 

On the other hand, we have Dan and Serena, who for the last two episodes have been avoiding the fact that they have issues and they must be faced if they want to move forward, and it’s pretty easy to see why they were putting it off, because the moment they do it obvios that they can’t really solve them. The source of the conflict is the same as always, they keep having the same fight, except to me there’s a difference this time around, at Bart’s brunch and at the wedding Dan’s issues with Serena’s world were also framed with the fact that he discovered something about Serena he feels he can’t deal with, it annoy me both occasions at the Brunch because they had barely met and he was mad because she wasn’t the girl he thought almost as if she had deceive him, and it was like dude you guys met like yesterday, chill. At the wedding he had more of a right to be mad, because she had lied to him a lot, so one could understand his resentment with the UES in the sense that it had shaped Serena to be the kind of person that acts wildly and lies and whatever else he wanted to claimed. This time however he gets mad because the elevator situation serve as reminder of how she’s “more important” than him because she’s part of the 1%. They start arguing literally because they won’t help him as quickly as if she was her. Is it unfair? Yeah, but If we’re goint go be objective about it the mere existence of a 1% priviledge class is unfair to the the other 99%. But that’s life, and the majority of us have to deal with that, and that doesn’t mean we can be assholes to people that have been nice to us.

When he meets Serena he already knows she’s an UES princess, so if he really has a “eat the rich” mentality, why did he got involved with her? And is not like Serena was condecending or mean to him because he wasn’t rich as her, and yet he acts as if he had dated S2 Blair who was an elitist bitch to him every single time they interacted. He may also be not extremely rich as Serena, but he wasn’t poor at all. Correct me if I’m wrong but the kind of loft he lives in, at Dumbo ain’t cheap. So the way Dan acts if he had dated said a girl from a lower income background she had the right to be a total bitch to him, because he was more priviliged? Serena herself says it the best:  "Fine, you know what? Life is not fair because it doesn't fit with the way you, Dan Humphrey, think it should be. But why are you always right?” and this is prove that theirs is not a relationship problem, is exclusively a Dan problem. Serena says to him she can’t change who she is, and is not like she’s saying I won’t change the way I act, is not related to that, because their “problem” literally refers to who she is: her last name, the family she was born to. To that Dan says, I can’t change who I am either, and that's the thing Dan! hers is a matter of being, his is a matter of thinking, and she can’t change her family, but you can change the way you think, and it’s not even a drastic change, he doesn’t have to change his ideals, rather just be understanding and accept her for who she is.  If one thinks about i Vanessa did  a better job with Nate on that topic this episode than Dan ever did, so it can be done, it can be resolved, he just refuses to do it Serena doest thing through the series that definately add to their problems, their parents situation doesn’t help either, but this episode really shows that the root of their issues is Dan.

Finally, there’s Chuck and Blair, who keep having the most amazing chemistry ever, and the sexual tension in their scenes is off the charts. This episode really relays on the fact of the amount of desire they feel for each other, which seems super fitting at this point in the series because while it’s clear they have deep feelings for each other, desire was what first brought them together, yet they both believe this episode that desire isn’t as exclusive as feelings, it’s easier to feel desire and so they think they can easily find it in other people, but what they discover this episode is that sadly that wasn’t the case. In Blair’s case it has to do in part with the fact that Marcus doesn’t really sees her that way, which makes me sad because here she is again dating a guy who refuses to be passionate about her, but even if he did, she’s forcing the passion, is not really there and can she honestly live like that? Like something is missing? Sadly, no. Oh she’s going to try, not only this season in fact, but is never going to fully substitute the one she has with Chuck.

Chuck faces the same issue, in quite a very literal way, which is hilarious. Chuck Bass playboy extraordinarie is suffering from a “blockage”, a very PG-13 way of saying that he can’t get it up, which is obviously a big tragedy for a guy like him, that amuses Serena to no end even if she can’t quite believe it. Anyway, this is the way that Chuck learns that feelings can win over desire, and that ther is more to sex than just a momentary physical pleasure, which is something he really need it to learn. As long as he can frame what he feels for Blair as mere desire, nothing beyond really good chemistry, is easier for him to see his pursuing of her as only a matter of seduction, easier to ingore that it hurts that she’s with someone else, and his regret over the fact that this whole situation was his own doing, at the end he finally admits to himself that is more than seduction, which is why I believe all his plots from here on are more based on getting her to go to him, not because she desires him, but because she needs him. But that’s for the next episode.

Random bits I’ve noticed:

Because later on this show  got to the point of being like Chuck had no culture whatsover, and as such Blair couldn’t possibly have any intellectual talk with him, I would like to point out that he mentions madame butterfly as a reference to the Japanesse flight attendant, which means he knows the opera. And I can totally picture him, listening to opera from time to time just because, he’s dramatic and larger than life sometimes. It fits him.

He also mentions  Little Lord Fauntleroy which is a children book, and I like to believe he at least got one decent nanny while growing up and that she gave it to him.

World Of Envy [Yandere! Fallen Angel! Kim Taehyung] [Reader-Insert]

Warning: As this story contains yandere themes, the characters display behaviors that can be triggering or uncomfortable to read. Read at your own risk. This work is purely fiction. I do not believe any of the mentioned members would display any sort of this behaviour irl.

(Honestly, this chapter isn’t too bad. It’s pretty vanilla compared to my other yandere works but I guess works like these still require warnings).

In the World Of Envy, angels and devils lived in one existing stream but each of their territory was at the end of the stream. In other words, they lived completely opposite one another. As long as they kept to themselves, did not mingle or interfere with the other's business, they lived in peace and tranquility for the most part. Neither angels or devils approved of the each other’s ways. In the past, all of the wars and bloodshed that had occured between them just proved that for them to exist in peace, they needed to call it a truce and let the other be. 

Aforementioned reasons, marriages, and breeding of offsprings happened between persons of the same species except for some exceptional cases. When young, horminal, and rebellious adults believed they could do anything and take over the world, they never thought about the consequences. They made decisions irrationally, before they received the bitter taste of harsh reality that would cause them to have regrets.

Once upon a time, a decade or two ago, an angel had run away to elope with a devil. This story was known and retold by many. Each time it was retold, there was a new twist to it from the person who told it. Eventually, many versions of the story existed. Some came to believe that the devil was an not a devil, but a succubus who had seduced an innocent angel to run away with her. Others believed that this story was nothing but a mere myth, or that an angel had pretended to run away with the devil so he could kill her in secret.

Barely anyone knew the truth about the story -- anyone that was not Kim Taehyung.

Taehyung was the fruit of his parent’s love. He was a half breed mixed between an angel and the devil. He was someone or others may  refer to him as “something” that had never existed before. He knew the real story behind his parent’s love story and that it had no lying. There was no forcing, killing, manipulation, or toxicity. There was only one feeling they shared with each other just like everyone else who were romantically involved with someone -- there was only love between his parents. They had to run away because the underworld had no room for an angel and the heavens had no acceptance for a devil. So certainly, neither would accept someone who was from the both the fallen and the risen side -- there was nowhere a fallen angel could belong in.

Things were not too bad for Taehyung until the unfortunate day their home was found by the magic council. It was forbidden for opposites to love one another. For indulging in such sinful actions, both of his parents were punished harshly. Their wings were clipped away. They were left as flightless birds who could not run away, and then they were burned to death. With how vicious they had been with Taehyung’s parents, one could only imagine what they would done if they found an abomination like Taehyung. Luckily, this was at a time when Taehyung was old enough to know what to do, and he had run away in time and managed to survive. Ever since then, he lived secretively to avoid trouble for himself. Though,  just because he avoided trouble for himself, did not mean he could not cause trouble for others.

The thirst for revenge burnt bright in Taehyung’s heart. He lingered in the shadows a lot. Whenever, he saw how happy everyone was with their families, friends, and someone else, it infuriated him and he was envious.

As far as Taehyung was concerned, his parents would be the only ones who would ever love and accept him for who he was. However, they were taken away from him in mere moments. Seeing others happy, and realising how the rest of the world did not seem to care about their unjust passing, made his blood boil.

It was in that moment that Taehyung decided he would do what was done to his parents as revenge. He would ruin everyone’s happiness and their life like his was ruined.

You were nearing the age of marriage and that meant you were required to socialize with potential partners. It would not be too bad if your parents were not who they were. See, your father was one of the very few angels who was given the opportunity to be part of the magic council. Meanwhile, your mother was considered to be one of the most beautiful angels. She was famous for the purity and majestic beauty of her wings. It was not too far-fetched to say that you were a child from a privileged, wealthy, influential, and powerful family. For this and many other reasons, you were bound to be pursued by many.

As much as you hated attention and had tried to keep to yourself, it was an almost impossible task;   especially considering that you had ended up inheriting wings that were just as awe striking, if not more, as your mother’s.

As an introvert, it really sucked to have extroverted parents who were always in the limelight, and because of that, brought spotlight on you too. Not to mention, you were not interested in getting married in the slightest. Marriage would bound you to one person who for your entire life, and you would be forced into a life of responsibilities. Before settling down,  you wanted enjoy your freedom, go on adventures, and discover yourself. One would not necessarily be restricted after marriage, but that was just how you felt.

The thought of marriage almost made you envious of the devils and their free ways of living. They did whatever they wanted whenever they wanted; their lives were rich with adventures and fun. You wanted to explore, have adventures and fun. However, as an angel yu knew that would never happen.

Angels like yourself, had rules and strict orders which acted as a guideline for the way you should live. You were meant to live a clean and pure life. The restrictions almost made you want to gag in disgust everytime you thought about them. If someone found out that you felt like this, or how you hated your life as an angel which was already set for you, you would certainly get banished.

You were snapped out of your thoughts when you felt yourself being shook gently. You blinked before you turned your head towards the person. You saw that it was someone you were rather familiar with: Jung Hoseok. He was looking down at you with a deep stare, his white wings were raised high behind him, and shone underneath the heavenly light. His eyes flickered to the book you held in your hands, which you had not realized that you were holding upside down. His lips twitched up in a soft smile. He loved your little quirks like this.

From the loving eyes Hoseok stared at you with, to the way his fingers softly brushed your hair behind your ear, lingered on your skin, as he leaned down and his breath fanned your ear made you feel queasy in discomfort.

“Can I talk to you alone?” He asked, his words sounding soft in your ears. You furrowed your eyebrows. Then, your eyes flickered to the side to see others in the holy library watching the two of you with analytical eyes. Their boring gazes manifested your queasiness because you knew exactly what was happening; Hoseok was purposefully being touchy and feely with you in front of everyone to make a point of starting to ‘claim’ you. After all, the more you would be seen with someone close to your marrying age, the more speculations there would about you belonging to them.

You did not like it one bit.

“Sure,” You murmured, with hesitancy in your eyes. Hoseok chose to ignore such a reaction and instead chose to indulge in your submissiveness. He smiled in satisfaction as he gently grabbed your hand, intertwined his fingers with yours, and pulled you to stand up.

“Great, follow me,” He said, and you flew behind him reluctantly as he led you out of the library.

You flew and followed Hoseok until he led you into a secluded area for what you assumed for privacy. You could guess what he wanted to talk about. You aimlessly hoped to whatever higher deity was out there that you would be wrong.

“So [Name], we’ve known each other since we were children,” Hoseok started, and you knew instantly that nope, you were completely right. You should have known really, that with your luck this was bound to happen. Well, you did know and did expect it but not this soon, not before you even reached the age of marriage.

“We grew up together, and for years I have been in love with you. I love the way you smile shyly when you feel awkward, and how your eyes light up when something excites you. You’re absolutely beautiful and I love how magnificent and large your wings are. Our families have known each other since the dawn of our friendship, and I think your parents would be the happiest if you were to choose me. I want to work hard for you and be the reason behind your smile,” Hoseok confessed, and continued to list each thing he loved about you, along with the benefits there would be if you chose him as your spouse. It was obvious from the the way he continued that his confession was scripted. He seemed to have practiced it a lot so it would be perfect for this moment. The effort was appreciated but it was not your style. Scripted, practice, discipline, perfection — he was portraying values of a full-fledged angel; values that forged a person and prompted reheated perfection rather than allowing a person to be sincere or raw in the moment. He was everything ‘perfect’ that you hated about being an angel.

While in the midst of listening to his confession and becoming uncomfortable with each passing moment, you suddenly felt an unnervingly cryptic gaze watching you intensely. For you, the vibe of the atmosphere that was usually pure, had now shifted into something that felt suffocatingly dangerous. The knot of discomfort in your stomach was no longer from Hoseok’s still continuing confession, but from the feeling of being watched by someone with blood lust.

Its presence was too strong, and you wondered why Hoseok was not reacting to it. You held up your hand in a stop signal to signal Hoseok to quiet down.

“Don’t you feel that?” You asked breathily, and in confusion to suddenly being cut off, Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows.

“Feel what?” He answered, with confusion etched in his eyes. Then, moments later, his eyes widened in some sort of realization. A wide smile appeared on Hoseok’s face, and instantly knew what that smile meant. Right away, you knew that what you were talking about, the ‘realisation’ that Hoseok had were were going to be two completely different things.

“Feel your love for me? That’s rather cheesy [Name], even for you—“ Hoseok flirted, but you cut him off when you saw someone with black and white wings fly at the speed of light from behind of Hoseok. The sight had caused you to gasp in shock and for your eyes to widen.

What the hell was that? You wondered, and the sound of Hoseok saying something was disant to you.

“I don’t have time for this. As much as I appreciate you as a friend Hobi, I don’t love you romantically. It seems like fate has something else planned for me than settling down with the angel for the rest of my life so soon,” You said, muttering the last sentence to yourself and rejecting Hoseok. His eyes were widened at your unexpected blalant response. You gave him no time to reply as you fluttered your wings. The strength of the fluttere caused a gust of wind to arise. Then, you jumped high, and took off as fast you could towards the stranger with black and white wings.

You were lead towards the streams in heaven that connected to other places and worlds. Unlike till this moment, when you had been flying freely in whatever way you pleased, in the realm of streams you had to be extremely cautious. This was because one would never know what stream would pull them towards itself, and as a result of that pull, what place they might end up in.

Usually, people were not allowed in the realm of streams without authorisation or a permit. So, if you were to be caught, you would be in big trouble. This, along with the looming dangers of what you had chased, out your nerves on the edge.

As you walked slowly and looked around everywhere warily, you hugged your arms, and wings around yourself as a comforting gesture. Additionally, it also made you physically smaller, which was needed since you did not want to be pulled in by a random stream.

From his hiding spot, Taehyung watched you, and licked his lips in anticipation. You were much more gorgeous in person. The rumours were true after all; the daughter of the angel in the magic council was born with beautiful wings like no other. He had to have them for himself.

Although Taehyung was currently the predator, and unbeknownst to you that you were a prey, he failed to realise that he could become a target too. This was because he was not the only one who was capable of obsessing.

“I-I know you are here,” You bellowed, as you nervously rubbed your arms, and glanced around. Taehyung narrowed his eyes at you, and noticed how the feathers of your wings were twitching in anxiety due to the unknown circumstances — due to him. Tingles of excitement started to course through him.

“I saw you fly here. I don’t know who or what you are but you obviously wanted to bring me here… alone. So, come out or I’ll leave,” You threatened weakly, and he almost found your facade of bravery to be cute. He stayed where he was for a few moments.

Meanwhile, you were inwardly cursing at yourself for flying away and chasing something you had no idea about. Your desperation to experience something new, and breakaway from the stereotypical life that was set for you had caused you to act recklessly. It made you break rules in the past too, but you had never gone this far.

When you received no response for a bit, you sighed in disappointment. Perhaps it had been a figment of your imagination? Reluctantly, you turned around. As you were about to leave, someone flew from behind, wrapped their arms around your waist, and flew away with you.

You gasped in surprise, and were going to turn your head to see who had captured you, until his deep and authoritative stopped you.

“Don’t  turn around. If you do, I won’t be nice to you,” Taehyung stated stoically. You instantly stilled in your movements, and did not budge your head even a bit. All you could do was stare at the various colourful streams you flew past, and wondered where fate would take you. From the way the person holding you was flying, and dodging the pull of each stream with effortless grace, you knew he had to be exceptionally talented.

Taehyung’s gaze flickered towards your head that was looking down, and his lips twitched in a miniscule smile at how obedient you were. He did not expect it, especially since you were the offspring of one of the council members. Your obedience felt … nice. Perhaps, Taehyung would rethink his plans for you, and if you continued to submit so easily to him, then he would reward you, instead of hurt you.

When Taehyung had kidnapped you and brought you to his abode, he was a bit rough with you because he wanted to intimidate you. His entire presence was domineering as he backed you into a corner and began to explain all of his ‘rules’ to you. He gave you two options: you submit to him and court him or return to the heavens without your wings. He was entranced by your beauty so whether he had your entire being to himself, or could just preserve the best part of you for his collection, it did not really matter to him -- as long as he had a piece of you.

What Taehyung did not expect was for you to become entranced by his beauty too, which he had come to think would be perceived as a hideous abomination.

Your eyes were wide and there was an awe stricken expression on your face when you observed his features. He was something you had never seen before — a crossover of an angel and a devil. His hair was blond, and he was dressed in white clothing. However, unlike an angel and like a devil, his sclera was pure black instead of white. One of his irises was a beautiful shade of caramel hazel, and the other was a haunting shade of a red ruby. His wings were large and sumptuous with one being purely white, and the other being as dark as a starless and moonless night; he was breathtaking.

While in the midst of waiting your response, Taehyung never expected you to be brave enough to wrap your wings around him affectionately, and flip him over so that you would be the one cornering him instead.

“You’re so otherworldly and gorgeous,” You breathed, and leaned your face closer to his. Simultaneously, you cupped his face gently in your hands and brushed your thumb softly against his cheek.

His eyes widened in surprise.

“So different, new… I’ve never seen anything like you. Sure, I’ll be yours. I’m interested to see what a hybrid like you can show me. I will be yours as long as you vow to belong to me as much as I will belong to you.”

What I like and dislike about each Skam Version:

The order is when I watched them. Which is basically the same order when they came out since I watch clip for clip live with every version since the evak cuddle clip 3 years ago. I won't point out things twice if a remake did it exactly the same. For example the blackmailing of Noora. Disliked it in the og, ditto with every other version. Another disclaimer: I don't have a favorite version since no one was perfect from first to last season. Different versions have different favorite seasons for me.

What I loved about the og 🇳🇴: The complete different format of a show with the clips, social media, roughly camera work that made it look like a reality show or documentary. The actors being the age of their characters and not all being thin, beautiful models. The pov and seing the boring aspects of life too. All the casual parties. The music and the whole russbus culture. In general getting to know so much about other cultures that I didn't thought about before for even a minute. Eva standing up for herself and breaking up with Jonas. Penetrator Chris as the comic relief, he may be a fuckboy, but he is isn't sexist or homophobic, his one liners are iconic. A normal reaction to Isak being gay and Evak actually getting an happy ending and a proper love scene like any hetero couple gets. Eskilds gay pride speech, it made me rethink my own mindset, as well as Sanas line about hate doesn't come from religion, it comes from fear and her whole conversation with yousef about religion. The guys helping Isak get back his man and Magnus hilarious questions, but also his helpful advice. Everything in the scene with Eva's 18th birthday. Even singing imagine. The cuddle clip, literally my favorite clip in all the versions, the spiderman kiss and the universe talk. Yousana love shown without any touching. The girls picking up Sana with the los losers bus. The ballon squads YouTube channel. How sweet and protective Elias was about Sana. 5 fine frøkner! Kosegruppa. If I could chose I would want a season for Magnus and Penetrator Chris.

What I disliked: Jonas treating Eva like she's stupid. Everything with William pretty much, starting with his non existent personality to blackmailing Noora, dissing Vilde, not listening after the SA happening etc. Nooras completely change in attitude from feminist to falling for the fuckboy and betraying your friend, also, ik most of the fans love it, her speeches, the one at William and also the one at Nicolai, it was just too long and arrogant to me sorry, I don't thought yes queen, I more thought yeah okay we got it already. The lack of communication with literally everyone. Vilde being so judgemental. Eva 'stealing' Jonas. Even not being able to speak for himself about his MI. The hate against Sonja, yes her saying Even can't love was fucked up, but her outrage and pain was more than understandable for me. The call your gf scene, idk it just makes me uncomfortable and I just felt bad for the girls. The whole show basically revolving around Noora in every season and her amount of screen time. Chris and Emma in the end, a huge wtf that made no sense and came out of nowhere, as well as Jonas and Eva's suddenly reunion.

What I loved about 🇮🇹: Be aware that I'm biased since Italy is my favorite country since childhood. I love everything about it. Landscapes, food, clothes, cars, the men^^ and ofc the language and names. First and foremost the cinematography. Also the music. All the girls being pretty as fuck. I feel like they where more mature too, but that goes for the boys and Eduardo too. Elia being there since season 1. The skating shenanigans. Martino and Eva being the closest version of this friendship (which is why I hope they continue this in the next season and make them close again, not going for the best buds). Their parents being more involved. Edoardo not insulting Silvia. Giovanni constantly cursing and gesturing like the true Italian that he is. Ofc the bromance in s2, that was what the season was all about for me more than the romance (reason in the dislikes), how they all cared for each other, had actual conversations, were with marti everywhere and always supported him. Gio being the best friend ever and constantly checking in on marti. How all the boys and edos rich gang stood up for marti against the homophobes, I never cheered so loud during a clip istg. The man, the myth, the legends Chico roddi :D. Eduardos soft side, when he played creep or cried when Eleonora could tell him herself what happend. The way they merged the squads together and all hang out boys and girls and also Filippo. Filippo and Eleonora being siblings and literally everything that fillipo does, his sassyness is unmatched. Cute Short king luca, carefree elia. Seriously I could write novels about this boy squad. Their parties and how they do them at 9pm during business days. Guardami Martino! 😂 If I could chose I would want a Gio and Fillipo season.

What I disliked: The darkness, especially s2 although it looked romantic a lot of times. The way Gio kisses, listen I love him with all my heart but he looks like he wants to eat faces or lick them like a dog 😂. I couldn't get into Niccolò, he never grew on me, came of kinda cold and the chemistry between the actors compared to the other versions isn't that great imo. It also has the only Sana I don't like and don't care for her season. It's not bc of the controversy about the actress. She just comes of rude in the show and also has way too less scenes to get excited for her pov, Her relationship with Marti is also non existent. The lack of social media and texts. Some of the actors looking way too old.

What I loved about 🇫🇷: The many changes of season 3. The piano scene with literally heart eyes. Eliott being the biggest dork. Eliott being able to express his feelings about his MI. Eliott saying it's not a girl. The rain kiss. Lucas being a major cutie. His relationship with the girls and Manon in particular. How they helped Daphne with the room. That we get an Arthur season, he's my favorite Madhi. How happy they were when Lucas came out and how they cheered everytime they saw Eliott. The elu social media content. Yann apologizing for his behavior and comments in the past. The hedgehog and racoon personas. Imans dad. Alexia and Arthur becoming a thing. The bts and Interviews, especially the attentive Maxel friendship.

What I disliked: The first two seasons being 1:1 copy from the og, I only watched them bc I had a close french friend when it aired. The whole Charles shit in s3&4. The acoustic music often being a bit to on the nose, like the music before a jumpscare in horror movies, for example the common room meeting, it was so obvious they would fall in love. S3 of France is probably my favorite version of this season, but it is like a dramatic romcom movie and felt less realistic compared to the others and the og. Emma is super bland and kinda dumb. Mika being super rude to Lucas. The disrespect against iman. Sofiane actually dating Manon.

What I loved about Druck 🇩🇪: (Also biased since I am german) Jonas sweetness. Hans is hilarious. Jonas and Hannah reunion. Kiki turning into the sweetest. The girl squad being really close. The boy squad being dumbasses. The change of Alex and showing his anxiety. Kiki and Carlos being a wholesome couple. The changes and extra content. Amira and Mohammeds softness. Their sm game.

What I disliked: The dialogue sounds very cringey to me and super scripted. The Mia actress looks like she doesn't like to kiss Alex at all, no chemistry and no love to be seen for me. Mia being arrogant in general. That Amira had only 7 episodes and Mia extra concent for her boring relationship. I never could get into Matteo much, he was to much of a sloth to me, let everything just happen and while that may be realistic, it's for the viewer pretty boring. I also couldn't get into David much, we knew barely nothing about him for most of the time and then he was absent for like 3 weeks straight. Davenzi also came of as more like best friends to me as an couple in love, they were cuter in s4. Unrelated to the plot or show, but the druck stans that feel super entitled and superior.

What I loved about 🇪🇸: The made subtle changes from the start. Lucas coming out to Eva and not being a snake. Jorge being the softest Jonas and not lying about weed. The girl squad being the closest and cutest with another, as well as the boys and them being a mega squad since s1, way less inner group drama and the friendships in this versions are just super wholesome to me and my favorite girl squad. Also my favorite amira, she wants to adopt everyone and they all care and respect her religion and I have high hopes for her season. Their parties. Also the remake with the most sm content and texts. The only P Chris version that comes nearly close to the og, being sassy, charismatic and having hella sexual chemistry with eva. The fact that also my favorite chris got her own season, that they changed it to a wlw plot that was displayed tastefully and not overly sexualized. The portray of having borderline, being shown how it really is. Lucas having an Youtube channel and how supportive his boys reacted and how tender him and Jorge are, I can't stretched enough how much I love and stan attentive, genuine male friendships without toxic masculinity. Hugo being an absolute sweat heart since his first appearance, not being petty or mad with Cris and just being a true friend. If I could chose I would want a season about Lucas and Amira.

What I disliked: Alejandro looks like 14 to me and I'm not keen on seeing this plot for the 8th time. Viri and Cris clothes a lot of times, Ik they dress like teenagers these days do, but it just looks horrendous to me sry. Them stretching out the story between Cris and Joana so much and breaking them up like 5 times.

What I loved about wtfock 🇧🇪: I just started with season 3 live, because I couldn't get into the characters when the first clips of s1 dropped. I later binged s2 and watched some key clips of s1.

They changed many things for the better. First and foremost Senne, him being supportive of Zoë, a good flat mate and encouraging dad friend. Zoë giving him way more of a hard time and making him work for it. Robbe moving into the flatshare and becoming bff with Zoë. Not breaking up Zoenne and making Senne an important character in s3 as not only Zoës boyfriend. Sander! I love his whole art hoe - e boy brand, his music taste, his clothes, hair, how reckless he is, his blant flirting. Robbe being an absolute baby ™ and clingy af. The Willems chemistry is unmatched in the skam universe. Yasmina is so fucking pretty and intelligent. Rosanders date. Milan being sooo cute and Robbe having confidence in him and them being genuinely friends. I could swoon over the found family in the flatshare 24/7 and wish I could live with them. Robbes dad asking if Sander is a vegetarian. Luca & Noor shading Moyo. Noor having a personality besides being naïve and a beard for the Isak. Robbe caring about his mom.

What I disliked: Senne starting of as the worst William with his bracelets and showing around Ambers nudes. Ambers rudeness in general. The boys talking only about girls and totally ignoring Robbe for 6 weeks straight, especially Jens. Moyos sexist and homophobic comments and behavior. Clips and drama with no explanation or follow ups, brushed off or rushed scenes. The gay bashing and robbes slurs, them turning everything into drama for drama sake. For multiple weeks only clips that were either total drama or happy clips with no normal daily life. Exaggerating the robbe and noor make outs. No Sander the first 2 weeks. The lack of answeres from Sander and questions from Robbe, brushed of with one liners. Barely any texts.

I know i will end up loving Banri eventually, since it’s very hard for me to dislike anyone, and i know he gets development and i’m sure he’ll be better down the line (just like Tenma was as well) but he’s unsufferable for now.

Like.... The ones that gives a bad start are mostly Masumi, Tenma and Banri in their bands it seems. We’ve seen Masumi’s growth and Tenma’s so i expect the same for Banri’s.

But by god Banri you better really work to win me over from that point.

I don’t have strong feelings over Masumi (except that i find him too stalkerish), but i do have strong feelings about Tenma and I feel like the Banri situation can compare but not quite - i’ve seen people tend to dislike the two at the begining but...

Tenma was an idiot - still is but shush - but it came from him being socially inept. It becomes clear as it goes that the guy doesn’t have friend, probably stayed most of his life listening to what his strict, violent and absent parents dictated for him (yes i’m not fucking over the fact his father fucking punched him in the eye for refusing a movie deal) and it seems he always had this very strict way to see things. 

He grew as a leader specifically bc he was the kind to see everyone’s fault, but once he realizes that he has to mention their pros too, he helps everyone bloom. 

His douchery in the begining are mostly him sliping into this sort of habit of being socially unable to communicate what he means, that he believes failure will bring him mockery and/or violence, and he takes it on the others without realizing because he has no notion of social barrier.

And his duality with Yuki specifically work on that because Yuki always calls him out but also send clear messages when Tenma is improving that this is indeed the way to go. Since Yuki’s sass is also humorous and they’re a team that is based on comedy anyway, after a bit the banter just become part of their dynamic, not something where they’re actively fighting.

but even early on they weren’t fighting per se, Yuki just called out Tenma in colorful way and Tenma’s reaction was generally “what the fuck did you just say” but it never escalated. And the few times Tenma actually crossed the lines (with Muku, with Kazunari) he tooks the specific time to apologize sincerely for that.

Tenma grew so so much and he still has a lot to learn. But he’s blooming thanks to the Summer troupe. 

And in a way every member of the summer troupe is somewhat socially inept. Yes, even Mister McSocial Kazunari who actually spells out that his behavior is because he’s terrified that if he expresses a personal opinion people would shut him out. They’re all very bad at being social in this team and that clashed in the begining, but that’s why they worked.

I expect just as much development from Banri, hopefully,

but so far the reason Banri is a douche are an inferiority complex over a guy he had never met before and he had done nothing but trying to humiliate said guy in order to provoke a fight.

Like it’s really hard to see Banri and Juza’s fights as banters. Banri is just unnecessarely mean and Juza doesn’t know how to react to them. They’re just incredibly lucky that Sakyo, Omi and Taichi are that good at damage control and know when to stop them. 

I was laughing at every banters between Yuki and Tenma because Tenma generally had them coming even if he didn’t provoke them on purpose, but they never escalated and they were witty enough for them to be in good terms.

But everytime Banri say something to Juza i feel super sick.

And it isn’t even comparable to how Tenma talked down on Muku and Kazunari those few times, Tenma didn’t know how bad his words could impact them or reacted on impulse, and each happened at best TWICE (and as i mentioned Tenma apologized sincerely for all of that), Banri is doing all of that on PURPOSE trying to provoke Juza and i honestly started to lose count at this point, there were 5 in one conversation just now and I feel horrible for Juza.

MC and Sakyo both decided that Banri and Juza should share a room and MC mentions “well looking at how Tenma and Yuki got used to each other it’s probably going to work for them too” but Tenma and Yuki at least knew better than to *actively provoke each other*. Which is the contrary of Banri who only joined the troupe to humiliate Juza.

I’m CERTAIN Banri will prove me wrong, that i’ll end up adopting him, i see exactly the flaws he needs to work on (to just assume everything comes easy for him, that he doesn’t have to put passion in it ect... and since he will become the team leader i TRULY HOPE he takes a page on Tenma’s book on how to be a good one who takes into account the pros and cons of his team)

But for now while i joked about Tenma “catching those hands” early on, I’ve never, ever felt as angry against Tenma as i am right now against Banri.

Anyway. Prove me wrong boy. I love douchebags that grow into me, so prove me wrong so i can forget how badly you treated Juza in the begining alright. Fix your relationship with Juza while at it please. Thank you.

EDIT OF A FEW MONTHS LATER: anyway now he’s one of my fav character i’m boo ooh the fool he’s great, he grew so much, and im so proud of him you go Banri, and it’s even better knowing how far he’s come. love u Banri
