Full offense and pun fully intended, but I genuinely think the very existence of "dead dove, do not eat" was a fucking canary in the mines, and no one really paid attention.

Because the tag itself was created as a response to a fandom-wide tendency to disregard warnings and assume tagging was exaggerated. And then the same fucking idiots reading those tags describing things they found upsetting or disturbing or just not to their taste would STILL click into the stories and give the writer's grief about it.

And as a response writers began using the tag to signal "no, really, I MEAN the tags!"

But like.

If you really think about it, that's a solution to a different problem. The solution to "I know you tagged your story appropriately but I chose to disregard the tags and warnings by reading it anyway, even though I knew it would upset me, so now I'm upset and making it your problem" is frankly a block, a ban and wide-spread blacklisting. But fandom as a whole is fucking awful at handling bad faith, insidious arguments that appeal to community inclusion and weaponize the fact most people participating in fandom want to share the space with others, as opposed to hurting people.

So instead of upfront ridiculing this kind of maladaptive attempt to foster one's own emotional self-regulation onto random strangers on the internet, fandom compromised and came up with a redundant tag in a good faith attempt to address an imaginary nuance.

There is no nuance to this.

A writer's job is to tag their work correctly. It's not to tag it exhaustively. It's not even to tag it extensively. A writer's sole obligation, as far as AO3 and arguably fandom spaces are concerned, is to make damn sure that the tags they put on their story actually match whatever is going on in that story.

That's it.

That's all.

"But what if I don't want to read X?" Well, you don't read fic that's tagged X.

"But what if I read something that wasn't tagged X?" Well, that's very unfortunate for you, but if it is genuinely that upsetting, you have a responsibility to yourself to only browse things explicitly tagged to not include X.

"But that's not a lot of fic!" Hi, you must be new here, yes, welcome to fandom. Most of our spaces are built explicitly as a reaction to There's Not Enough Of The Thing I Want, both in canon and fandom.

"But there are things on the internet that I don't like!" Yeah, and they are also out there, offline. And, here's the thing, things existing even though we personally dislike or even hate or even flat out find offensive/gross/immoral/unspeakable existing is the price we pay to secure our right to exist as individuals and creators, regardless of who finds US personally unpleasant, hateful or flat out offensive/gross/immoral/unspeakable.

"But what about [illegal thing]?!" So the thing itself is illegal, because the thing itself has been deemed harmful. But your goddamn cop-poisoned authoritarian little heart needs to learn that sometimes things are illegal that aren't harmful, and defaulting to "but illegal!" is a surefire way to end up on the wrong side of the fascism pop quiz. You're not a figure of authority and the more you demand to control and exercise authority by command, rather than leadership, the less impressive you seem. You know how you make actual, genuine change in a community? You center harm and argue in good faith to find accommodations and spread awareness of real, actual problems.

But let's play your game. Let's pretend we're all brainwashed cop-abiding little cogs that do not own a single working brain cell to exercise critical thinking with. 99% of the time, when you cry about any given thing "being illegal!!!" you're correct only so far as the THING itself being illegal. The act or object is illegal. Depiction of it is not. You know why, dipshit? Because if depiction of the thing were illegal, you wouldn't be able to talk about it. You wouldn't be able to educate about it. You wouldn't be able to reexamine and discuss and understand the thing, how and why and where it happens and how to prevent it. And yeah, depiction being legal opens the door for people to make depictions that are in bad taste or probably not appropriate. Sure. But that's the price we pay, creating tools to demystify some of the most horrific things in the world and support the people who've survived them. The net good of those tools existing outweighs the harm of people misusing them.

"You're defending the indefensible!" No, you're clumsily stumbling into a conversation that's been going on for centuries, with your elementary school understanding of morality and your bone-deep police state rot filtering your perception of reality, and insisting you figured it out and everyone else at the table is an idiot for not agreeing with you. Shut the fuck up, sit the fuck down and read a goddamn book.

Don't get me wrong , i think Sanemi would be a great teacher , i think despite his fiesty behaviour everyone would understand him almost instantly and if anyone DID have question he'd just frown and answer it in a more obvious way. But despite that everyone despises him / is scared of him.

Math is absolute shit , and when the teacher is angry almost half of the time it only makes it worse but no one voices out the hatred because they are afraid of being hunted down like a witch.

AND TRUST ME SANEMI KNOWS IT. He is a fiesty , strict motherfucker and he knows it but he's not backing away , atleast most people understand his subject ( wink wink ). So he didn't expect ANYONE to give him a gift for teachers day ... so just imagine his astonishment .

You didn't buy anything too special , it was like some kind off tea in a pretty box and some punny cup.

This man didn't show his exctiment but believe me his soul was screaming.

And one day YOU SAW THAT HE ACTUALLY USED THE CUP , that was even more shocking.

Ok so i think that his story is not really different from Sanemi. He would probably be a great teacher but too fiesty for someone to like him.

( he is just a bit better than Sanemi but he would still be really strict.)

Everyone also hates him because he doesn't let anyone retake tests and other quizes.

As the lesson you took out the gift and came up to Obanais desk handing it to him . It was two matching scarfs ( one of them for Obanai and the other for Kaburamaru )

He wasn't so good at keeping his composure , his eyes widned , it looked like he didn't get a gift for years.

He mumbled out something like 'thank you' , he was actually pretty happy.

You didn't see him wear the scarf in school but he did use it , he just didn't want you to see so you wouldn't get so excited.

Uzui Tengen

art teacher

Now .. Tengen is a whole different story.

Art is an easy subject and the teacher is just a tease. His lessons are more of a comedy club or a circus and Tengen is the clown. His attitude in not teacher like and i think he far morr understand teenagers / high schoolers always making them cheer up and / or relax.

(He's deff the kind that let's people sleep during his lesson.)

So alot of people got gifts for him , come on the mans a sweetheart !

You weren't an exeption , of course ! You bought him nail polish and some cheap jewlery.

Tengen was more surpirsed because you actually didn't buy something boring like flowers or candy ( in a good way of course )

Really does wear the jewlery you bought him and also uses the nail polish !

Younger brothers accidentally scaring MC (Pt. 2)

Here's part two! I kinda have writer's block so there might be some delays with requests till I scrap some motivation together.

Satan

Satan was on his way out of the library. He was walking out with a bunch of books, some that have to do with magic and other works of fiction

And you were on your way to the library. You had to study for a quiz and Solomon gave you a list of books that could help you

You were so distracted that when you opened the door you didn't notice Satan was there. You walked right into him, and you yelped. All the books fell to the ground and the two of you stared at each other for a moment

You helped him pick them up as you explained what you were doing there. You felt so bad, but Satan found it kinda funny. When you realized he had some of the books you needed, he suggested helping you study.

Asmo

He probably was on his way to see you anyway, wanting to ask if you wanted to go to a new store that opened. It would be his treat, of course, and you were just the company he wanted

You were leaving your room, also on your way to find Asmo, coincidentally wanting to ask him to join you on a trip to the new store

When you opened the door, Asmo was right there and you yelped. Asmo however, was completely unfazed. He went on to tell you about the store and invited you along

Overall doesn't make a huge fuss out of it. The two of you forgot about it and had a lovely time out!

Beel

Baby boy was hungry, and you offered to grab him some food from the kitchen. But you hadn't returned in a while, so he was wondering if you needed any help carrying anything

You were on your way out, every snack methodically piled up in your arms. You didn't want to make any trips back and forth, and you needed to make sure he was well fed at the same time. Needless to say, you struggled a bit to get the door open

When Beel opened the door, your snacks nearly toppled out of your arms. He jumps into action, taking the snacks from you. He feels really bad about scaring you though

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you were there." He apologized and you told him it was no big deal. He took extra care not to accidentally scare you again.

Belphie

Belphie napped everywhere, that wasn't exactly a surprise. He fell asleep in the living room, and he was on his way to move to a different area when his brothers wandered in

You were just passing through, swiping through your phone. You weren't really counting on anyone being in the way while you were walking

With the two of you distracted, you opened the door and walked into a sleepy Belphie. You shouted and whatever drowsiness was left immediately left his body

The two of you stared at each other for a second, then you laughed. He decided that his next napping spot would be your room, and you offered to be his snuggle buddy. Doesn't make a fuss about it either.

It was so sickening, so putrid to Edward Nashton, having to keep the tiresome facade of being an ordinary, everyday, scummy citizen of Gotham City. Went to work every few weekdays, scribbling down and filing numbers, while taking pictures of things that didn't quite add up. Taking little, vital pieces of information on the elite, the so-called city leaders; corrupt, all of them. He was sure that every single one of Gotham's minions was just the same.

Until he caught sight of the envelope.

Trudging back to his small suite in the run-down hotel block, Edward's eyes are downcast, codes and unsolvable puzzles whirring in his head as he absentmindedly goes up the flights of stairs that lead to his floor. The silver ring hooked in the centre of his key is around his finger, and he pulls it up to open the door a few steps before he gets to it, looking up tiredly...

His brows furrow. Green eyes widen.

It's like getting a taste of his own medicine; an anonymous letter, a bright envelope resting neatly against the hard, cool door to his rooms. There's no address written on the deep green paper, no writing at all, just the sealed, thin envelope.

Is this a cruel trick? Was he so careless to let someone follow him here? No, no, not yet- they can't know where he's living, it'll spoil the puzzle!

Edward snatched up the envelope, shoving the key through the hole and twisting it, a soft click sounding as he pushes in the door and closes it behind him with an impatient wave of his hand. With the other, he pulls off the seal from the envelope's front, and tugs out a letter written on pristine white paper. It's folded carefully in half, and he can see the faint black swirls of inky words from the closed side. Edward takes a long breath in through his nose, immediately apprehensive, ready to kick off at the moment he finds out that this little game will come to an end a lot sooner than he wants.

But that moment never comes.

To The Riddler,

Please don't panic or anything about how I got this letter to you! It took me ages to get the right clues and information from people lurking around the place to find you, but I'm glad I did. I'm glad, because I won't be invisible to you! You could never be invisible to me.

I love what you're doing for Gotham. Things have to change, and you're doing amazingly. I watch your streams every night - one of the only sources of hope I get each day. It's all because of you. I get a bit too shy to type in the comments, but after all this effort to get this to you, you should know. You deserve to know that you could never be invisible to me, because you're practically everything to me now. I could love you, even!! I think I already do...

Sorry if this seems a bit weird. I feel like you're used to getting crazed fangirls who watch your streams say similar things, but this isn't a faze or anything shallow like that. I want to help you however I can -be with you, if you'll let me. If you do, you'll do what you'll do best. You'll go through cameras on the building's CCTV and track me down after a little while (quicker than I did haha) and do whatever you want with me. I know you can. I wouldn't want it to be anyone else.

Edward's breaths are shaky now, forced, whimpers escaping his throat as his lips press tightly together, green eyes widening behind his glasses as he reads over and over your letter. It's... it's not a cruel trick, is it? He's not truly invisible anymore. He has you, whoever you are - and he'll find you.

Giggles make their way out of his throat, a large, dopey grin on his face like a lovestruck schoolgirl. He staggers to his bedroom, sitting haphazardly on his bed before collapsing into a curled-up pile on top of the sheets. The letter is clutched to his chest now, cradled in his hands as he repeats the sweet words in his head, trying to imagine your voice.

But why imagine it when he can find out for real? That's what you want, isn't it? You know he can do it. God, you're so clever, so patient, going through all that trouble just to send him a letter he could throw away in some delusional, ridiculous idea of The Riddler.

But that idea is nowhere near close to the truth.

Edward doesn't bother waiting - it doesn't take much to get the CCTV from the building's weak camera surveillance uploaded onto his laptop, and after whizzing through the norm, he stops when he catches sight of an unfamiliar, beautiful face. You're partially hidden by the hood that covers your head, but glasses poke out from beneath it as you rush to his door, double-check a note you'd made of the suite number, and leave the same envelope he's clutching so hopefully in one trembling hand by the door. Then you're off again, disappearing out the back door of the hotel block, and Eddie's shaky breaths fill the absence of muffled city and rain sounds from the laptop.

He goes back, zooming in on your face, and stifles an excited, newfound lovestruck whimper behind his hand that's pressed over his lips. Gotcha. He lets out a soft, broken chuckle that soon turns into hysterical giggles, eyes blown wide with adoration and giddiness.

"I- I love you too," he whispers to the grainy image of you on screen, smoothing the paper of the letter and envelope carefully in his hands, stroking it tenderly. "N-no lies!"

Pairing: Charles Xavier x gn!reader

Warning: fluff, Charles is a little jealous

The room was quiet. The only sound came from the scraping of chess pieces on the board. Charles looked intensely at his opponent. Erik just smirked. He had the upper hand in this game and was smug about it.

You watched from the couch in front of the chess table. Your book was long forgotten. YouTube werd too deeply invested into the game than your book.

Erik leaned back in his chair. His smirk got bigger, “You think that I can fit 15 marshmallows into my mouth.” Charles jercked back. His eyebrows chrunged up into a deep frown. His already tense body became rigid. You tried but failed miserably not to laugh.

After a short pause Charles shook off his internal shock. He sat up straighter in his wheelchair. Adjusting his posture so he wasn’t slouching. “Erik, you are a hazard to society.” You nearly fell off the couch as you curled in on yourself. Charles watched as Erik turned to your giggling form. He had a twinkle in his eyes he only knew to well. The telepath felt his blood boil.

You tried but failed to take deep breaths in. They were too shallow to fill your lungs with much needed oxygen. A few moments later you were able to breathe normal again. You looked over to Erik and smiled brightly at him, occasionally coughing because you still lacked some air. “And a coward. Do 20!” Erik began to lightly chuckle and shaking his head, ”Deal. But you have to witness it. How about tomorrow at 8 pm?” erik smiled charmingly at you. You smiled apologetic at him and shook your head lightly, “Sorry. Can’t do that, I promised Charles to help him with the correction of his latest philosophy quiz.” Charles smirked internally as the smirk on the metal manipulator's face seemed to fall. If only he read his mind.

Erik shrugged, “Maybe next time.” You nodded. Erik’s attention shifted from you to his friend, “Shall we resume our game.” Charles folded his hands in front of his face,leaning his elbows on the table. He put his hands on the back of his hands and smirked, “We shall!”

After a while Charles looked up to see his friend taping his temple. Charles was confused till he saw Erik nodding. He opened his mind and sifted through all the voices in the school before reaching his best friends one. ‘If you don’t tell her tomorrow how you feel and asked her on a date, I will.’ Erik challenged Charles with a look and a raise of his eyebrows. Charles only nodded.

10. What's your favorite part about the fic writing process?

My favorite part of the process is honestly the planning. I love when something just hits me with inspiration and a story start building in my head.

11. Are there any tropes that you particularly enjoy writing?

I’m a sucker for romance so usually those types of tropes are what I’m gravitate towards. But more recently, I’ve been writing some underdog, overcoming adversity tropes.

12. Are there any clichés or tropes that you actively avoid in your fics?

I am actually pretty open to just about anything but I’m sure you could throw something at me and I’d find out I’m not so much 😂😂😂

13. What's the most challenging aspect of writing fanfiction for you?

Does ‘finding time to write’ count? 😂 No? Ok. 😂 So dialogue is actually the hardest thing for me because I really try to think about what the characters would say and sometimes that’s really difficult given fic topic or scenario 😂

17. What's the most memorable comment or review you've received on one of your fics?

I remember the first time I got a play-by-play review and omg it made me grin like a f*cking idiot at work. To this day, those types of reviews make me giddy and giggly.

18. Are there any fics or authors that have been particularly influential or inspiring to you?

Umm??? You??? 😂😂😂 I have been following your writing since before we ever even actually talked and I still strive to encapsulate even a glint of your ability to describe environment and feeling. I am also super inspired by @kangaracha. It amazes me the sheer amount she writes and it never ever feels like word vomit. We all know NEVERMORE is one of my favorite fics, and man the world building?? F*cking impeccable. 😩👌❤️ I have such talented friends!!

25. Are there any specific writing tools that you find helpful?

Google. I use Google to figure out what words I’m trying to think of all the time 😂 “hey google, word that means XYZ” 😂😂😂

I also use Grammarly for quick editing

29. Are there any characters, relationships, or general character dynamics you've never written about but would like to try?

Geez, I’m not sure 🤔 I’ve been sitting here trying to think of a dynamic I’ve not written that I want to and I’m coming up short 🤷‍♀️

34. Are there any fic writing tips or tricks you've learned along the way that you'd like to share?

Something I’ve had to relearn is fanfiction is meant to be for YOU. Write for YOU. Write what YOU would want to read and f*cking read it!! I got into the funk of trying to please readers too much and it felt like it put up a barrier (aka writers block) to where I just couldn’t bring myself to write. Now, I’m working on me and just working on what makes me happy.

35. What do you enjoy most about being a fic writer?

The people I’ve met and the friends I’ve made because of the fandoms ❤️ writing is the only way I actually put myself out there

Sera's writer also wrote Carver, and there is a lot of similarity in their dialogues, as some people have noted.

Really? I'm... not really seeing the similarities beyond the most basic "nineteen-year-old with a chip on their shoulder" description. I mean, Carver for one has clear reasons for why he behaves the way he does: other than his mother he's the only non-mage in a family of mages (which would lead to a lot of issues), if you've got him in your party he recently lost his twin sister, he fought at Ostagar (bad! Very bad!), and the entire time he's in Kirkwall he's overshadowed by his older sibling and blocked from making his own life outside of following his sibling around (and then lectured about not having a job by the person who blocked him from getting a job! Obligatory "fuck you" to Aveline). So of course he's got a bit of a temper.

But more importantly, Carver is never cruel the way Sera is. In banter he usually matches the other party's behaviour towards him. He's vicious towards Hawke at times, but no more than siblings usually get when they're fighting, and he usually backpedals when he goes too far. He's friendly towards Isabela and Merrill, and playfully antagonistic with Varric when Varric isn't comparing him to Hawke. His relationships with Fenris and Anders seem to be more tense; he tries to be friendly with Fenris and Fenris shuts him down as is his wont, and Carver does respond pretty negatively towards Anders talking about mage rights, but if we judged him based on that then we'd have to conclude basically all the companions sucked. And of course Aveline actively sabotages his life and then lectures him about not finding a different path, so no friendship there. And even then he's at worst a bit grumpy! The closest he ever gets to a personal attack in banter is telling Anders to shut up, which... again, every companion in DA2 tells Anders to shut up, it's hardly unique to Carver. And in his lines for if another character goes down he shows genuine concern for all of them, even the ones he doesn't get on with. The impression I get with Carver is a fundamentally decent person at a really difficult time in his life while everything external goes horribly wrong.

Sera, though? Sera can be awful. She straight up calls Cole "Creepy" as a nickname and he's delighted when she thinks of him as "him" instead of "it" because it's the first time she's done it. She constantly bothers the mage party members about using magic as if that's not a central part of who they are. There's one particular banter she has with Solas that comes to mind, about how it's bad enough that mages use spells at all without them being slow about it, which every mage in the party including a mage Quiz responds negatively to (and Quiz is notable because they very rarely respond negatively to banter, and I think this might be the only time they do it without player input; methinks Sera's constant sniping is getting to them a bit), and her only slight concession is that she tells a romanced mage Quiz that she doesn't mean her when she talks about how bad all mages are; if she's friends with Quiz rather than romanced they don't even get that much. She put a fucking venomous snake in Vivienne's drawers, which I will never be over, and also keeps needling her about how everyone secretly hates her (Vivienne for her part gives as good as she gets, but that doesn't make it not horrible). She mocks Lavellan (and to a lesser extent Solas) relentlessly for every bad thing about the elves the Inquisition finds, even if Lavellan is her best friend in the world (and if she and Lavellan are in a relationship, she'll force Lavellan to choose between her relationship and her faith and blames her for the relationship failing if she picks the latter! Never going to be over that either). She's just absolutely horrid, and there's no evidence of her having any particular reason for it. She never mentions ever having a bad experience with a mage (she fears them because "everyone fears magic", even when given clear personal evidence that mages aren't all evil all the time), she never mentions ever having a bad experience with the Dalish (the closest she gets is a mention to Solas that she's seen how elves live, and that's more likely to be city elves than the Dalish)... She seems to hate them just because everyone else does.

Basically... sure, you can say that Carver and Sera are similar in terms of personality, but that's only surface-level stuff. If you look at anything more in-depth than "nineteen-year-old with a chip on their shoulder" the comparisons kind of fall apart. Because at the end of the day Carver consistently shows that when the chips are down and things start looking bad he will always do what he can to support his friends and family, no matter how much they fight (if memory serves Templar Carver will turn on the Templars if Hawke sides with the mages regardless of friendship/rivalry? Not entirely sure about that, but I think it was the case). Sera, though, will use any point of weakness against them, even if they've done nothing to deserve it. As an example, she'll mock Lavellan over Solas revealing that the vallaslin were originally slave markings and then dumping her even if Lavellan's never so much as said an unkind word to Sera and Sera's approval is maxed out. To put it another way, if your life went to shit and you went to Carver, he'd probably be awkward and uncomfortable about it but he would try to help as best he could. If you went to Sera... odds are good she'd just make fun of you for it. With that in mind saying they're similar in any meaningful way just doesn't feel right.

Sorry for the late reply -- I don't have a tag for creative writing because I really suck at crossposting on multiple platforms (shout out to my poetry sideblog I swear I'm gonna start using), but I do write poetry! I post it on Instagram. Now I must say I've been in the worst writer's block of my life for months, so there's nothing recent there, but if you want to see more of my writing it's there!

I also have an Ao3 but I haven't written fic in ages and I can't really say I'm, at this point in time, super happy with the older stuff on there haha but there are some good fics I've written!!

Gone Rouge

The room was silent as the clock was ticking. The class was taking a test; a pop quiz nobody prepared for. As the teacher made her way around the room, there was a know at the door as it opened slightly.

"Mr. Carver here can explain what has happened and why he is not allowed in my class for the remainder of the week." Another teacher said, clearly upset. She walked out fuming.

Jason looked around awkwardly before looking down and playing with his hands. He wasn't going to explain. Hey, when he's bored he writes lyrics thats on his mind and it just so happened to be so metal music on his mind...and he got carried away. Blame him mind, not him.

"Carver, why'd you get kicked out of class?" The teacher asked as she made her way over to him.

"Mrs. G," Jason started "you know what I do when I'm finished with assignments. I write random things ... that's all that happened." he finished with a sigh. He wasn't lying.

"Ok..well the only seat I have is..." She points her head in the direction of the seat. The seat next to Eddie. Jason wasn't thrilled for this at all. Class started less than 15 minutes ago. God, it was going to be a long block.

Eddie was bored. He couldn't focus and he was starting to get antsy. He had Jason sitting beside him, doing something out of sight. Eddie wanted to know what it was...no...he NEEDED to know what it was. He wasn't going to stop until he did.

So Eddie spent the next 15 minutes trying to get a peek on what Jason was doing. The opportunity finally came when Jason asked to go to the bathroom. As soon as Jason walked out, Eddie leaned over and snatched the notebook that Jason had and looked at it.

Saying he was shocked was an understatement. It was a character sheet. Not any character sheet...a DnD character sheet. Eddie flipped the page and there was another. The other character sheet was clearly older. Eddie compared the two and saw that the character Jason was working on was a rework.

There were lyrics off to the side as well. Specifically, lyrics from the song "Trashed" by Black Sabbath.

Eddie quickly put the things back and just...sat there in awe. He already had a *slight* thing for Jason. I mean look at the guy. But now...? God. He just might propose to him.

Jason got back shortly after, tapping his hands against him leg. Eddie could see people stare at him as he walked past, they were in awe too. Jason Carver was walking past them...in their classroom. Eddie rolled his eyes and tried to focus on his work again.

The bell rang and everyone got up. Some went to lunch, some straight up left school. Jason stayed behind a bit though. He was so close to finishing his description.

He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked over and...up. Way up.It was Eddie. Jason stared at him. Eddie stared back.

"You gonna..say something or just going ta' stare at me?" Jason ask with a bite to his tone. Eddie put his hands up in false surrender before chuckling awkwardly.

"I just wanted to let you know that the teacher said she had to go...well, she told me to let you know. Y'know..?" Eddie said, fumbling over his words.

"Mhm..Alright. I'll be out, I just need to finish something right fast." Jason responded, looking back down at the notebook.

Eddie just.. left. What'd you expect him to do? Stay!? You're out of your mind. Absolutely not! Though, he did spare Jason one more quick glance. Slightly blushing, he left.

There are so many that I do read over and over again, but it seems The Angel's Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafón is just as exciting each time.

E: a character you think you’re the most like?

Well, it's Kuroko, even when I want to come up with another answer, there just isn't anyone else on that level. I got Belle with 88% similarity from that one extensive character quiz with hundreds of fictional characters in it, that I came by here on Tumblr, but. Even though I agree that I am quite like Belle, (introverted, optimistic, book nerd, the odd one out, too persistent for her own good, believes in people's growth etc.) the sense of familiarity just doesn't compare. I suppose there's some difference in Belle's core desires that doesn't quite match with me, even though on the surface she probably seems really alike with me. I don't want an "adventure in the great wide somewhere", I tend to want my adventures right here, right now, and with the things I'm familiar with. I've never dreamed of going away, I've always dreamed of realizing my visions where I am. It has always seemed to me like one backyard is already too full to comprehend in a lifetime, so why would I want to go anywhere? There's the safety of routine where you are, but there's also always something new and unexpected if you just notice it, because you can always go deeper into things, everything is essentially endless. Doesn't mean I can't go away, because I can as easily feel this way about one place as another once the new becomes old, but I don't have a need to go away, which seems like the defining aspect of Belle's starting point. She also doesn't seem to have much of a desire to connect with the people who think of her as too different, she'd rather just leave and look for something better. She doesn't seem very attached to anyone in her village but her father. I can't quite relate to that, I've always cared about connecting with essentially everyone, probably even a little too much, (as in, it took some time and growing for me to let assholes be assholes) even if I don't have the ability to show it in a neurotypical way, and leaving has always been my last resort even if it's sometimes necessary.

Hey, a few things and a fair warning anon!

One, you're a wee bit behind the curve here, because we discussed that Ted post yesterday.

Also, didja read the part where he says RAS is in charge? A very smart person has pointed out to me that you never actually talk about RAS and what he's planning, you only mention him in the context of Ted and Evan. I'd wager that's because you know how BH positive RAS is and him being in charge scares you. Especially, I'd argue, when Ted openly acknowledges that RAS is in charge.

Also, are you guys still doing the thing where you selectively ignore that Evan the BA King's episodes never contain any significant BA, and that Ted has written big BH episodes like the quiz show episode? I'm going to break the news gently to you, honey: Ted and Evan don't care about BA. They care about attention. Somehow RAS has managed to staff his writers (and set dec) with the thinnest skinned adult babies ever, who intentionally create conflict and crave attention at all instances and then play victim when it blows up in their faces. They don't care about BA, darling. They just want attention. That these people still have jobs tells me a lot about what the RD set must be like.

And a fair warning: I think I've gotten all the mockery I need out of you so prepare to be blocked soon. Better get that VPN and sock account ready!

About Simeon's guesses and how TLS semi tells the future here are my theory.

Simeon like you said is observant and will have his own way to solve the problem of the situation on hand like shown in lesson 78 or 79. So this might be a scratch but could it be possible that Simeon is depress and alone when the brothers falls cope and imagine how their lives would go in Devildom by TLS by what he knows about the brothers. And because he written so much some of what the seven lords did actually happened while there are part of the series didn't happened. (I mean Levi does mention only the similarities when its happening right in front of him so we don't what happens with everything in the TLS series with 138 volumes)

A kinda example of this prediction writing is "The Simpsons did it first" joke where some of the jokes and gags of the Simpsons during the earlier seasons or even now is too impossible to happened and yet because how the world is, some of those jokes are now happened in real life. And remember Simpsons is a sitcom/cartoon take of the modern common American family, if those joke within the show start to be real, then the writers has a good grasps on how things could've gone.

And if people will argue with Satan's place of the whole story and how Simeon could write the Lord of Mask in the story. Simeon could've written the series after news of the brothers being the avatars of the seven deadly sins. He is or were a high rank angel so he could have heard new of what's happening in devildom at the time.

I personally wouldn’t say Simeon is depress, but that he’s grieving the way things used to be. He’s definitely upset that Lucifer and his brothers are gone, but also the way the Celestial realm was when they were there. It’s heavily implied that the Celestial Realm changed dramatically after the Celestial War.

I agree that it’s definitely a coping mechanism.

But I disagree with the Simpson comparison. TSL is a fantasy novel telling an overarching story. If it was more episodic like the Simpsons, I would agree.

When we have the TSL quiz with Levi, if you choose help from Simeon he’ll tell you a spoiler. Which is about the reveal that MC was keeping the secret about Belphie, MC doesn’t even know Belphie is up there yet. So I personally think he has some future telling abilities but given how Barbatos does as well and the story implies he’s the only one who does, I’m not too sure about it. There’s no other explanation but I think even the most likely, makes no sense. It’s probably a plot hole or something they didn’t think the implications of. So nothing new for the devs lol
