thank you for writing kabru/mithrun fanfics!! you are feeding us in the dungeon
bc ao3 doesn't have many fanfics about them, do you have any japanese fanfic rec about both/one of them?
Ah, you're welcome!!! That's my ultimate goal, I want to feed everybody, because I think there is SO MUCH to say about KabuMisu, and about Dungeon Meshi... so I try to do both.
UNFORTUNATELY Japanese fandom tends to not write a lot of fanfic, and I know that some Japanese fans have been reading my fics, via machine translation... So I think there's not much available. But everything in the AO3 Kabru/Mithrun tag is good, so I'd recommend starting there. And if you haven't read "Keep your eyes on me." by amaimai, and you want to read some wonderful smut about the pairing, I HIGHLY recommend it. A++ no notes, 100% wonderful read start to finish. Since I really can't recommend any Japanese fanfic, let me drop some Japanese artist recs, since some of them have done mini comics and doujins. In order to browse pixiv you'll need to make an account, but it's free to use. Jaco is the MVP, the CEO, the President of Kabumisu. Their work is incredible and they've drawn a couple of complete doujins, some of which you can find translated into English on various corners of the internet. They are also an incredibly sweet and nice person who will do their best to talk to you, even though they don't really speak English. Tsy is not really in the Dungeon Meshi fandom anymore, sadly, but they have a lot of incredible, beautiful work. Bae also does a lot of gorgeous fashion-oriented stuff, and if you like Promare, they're into that too!
Sin has an amazing dynamic, sketchy style, and a fantastic sense of humor.
ナノコ has a unique style that I love.
那 (Rainbox) is someone else who isn't really in the Dungeon Meshi fandom anymore, but they have a lot of wonderful art that shows the soft and tender side of Kabumisu. Also they ship Helki/Milsiril, and they have a tumblr, though I think more of their work is on Pixiv.
Go forth and feast! And don't be shy about leaving nice comments for Japanese fans. Even just saying "I love this!" (これ 大好き!) would probably make them happy!

Fandoms I’m in Pt.IV
Marble Hornets and Slender the Arrival (The eight pages), I used to be a creepypasta kid who didn’t knew the story of “Masky” and “Hoodie”, I never had the chance to know what happened in the show bc I didn’t spoke English, until now that I watched the entire show and played the video game (almost with all the achievements).
I like sm the story, or at least what I can understand, Alex being the chosen one, another dimension being the Ark, the operator being the source of the infection aka the flood, Tim being the last man standing, etc.
I like all the characters, Tim is so cool, Brian so cute, Jay is so caring, Alex a good villain, Jessica should’ve more screen time bc she was the damsel in distress, (I would’ve like her to have an alter ego like Tim and Hoodie tbh), and the operator being the main villain of the story.
As a show that was filmed on the beginning of YouTube it looks very nice, a lil bit slow at a times but worth watching it if you like the creepypastas or The Witch of Blair.
There are also comics which I bought but haven’t read bc I don’t have the second one, but I must say it, the art is amazing! I would love to work on something like that someday.
And also if you wanna feel like ur on the show, slender the arrival it’s a nice videogame, it has a good story (confusing tho), but it’s worth playing.
I Would give the show a 8/10 bc it can be slow at a times, and I think they could explode more screen time in some characters, but I totally recommend it.
To the video game I’ll give it a 7/10 bc of the same reasons plus the confusing and hard to understand story.
Not my images, credits to the authors.

dude. friend. im obsessed with your art, i wish i could eat it and learn the secret behind the amazing noses you draw and those crisp lines...... but im also obsessed by the fact you love roman/italian history and literature so much?? i studied them for most of my school years (500 years ago) and i wasnt the best student but im loving to get back to it/learn more through your comics and your works!!!!
waaaaay back when I was in high school, I took a class because I heard that a teacher covered Dante’s Divine Comedy and it sounded like a good time, but it ended up being like. revelatory in some kind of way. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to her for encouraging my interest in the text beyond the classroom (from letting me look at her teaching notes to recommending a translation with the Italian alongside English), and also to my home room teacher that year who saw me reading it and told me that the ideal way to experience Dante is to be in Florence in the summer, or to listen to an audiobook in Italian while reading along lmao
also I was in high school while the Desmond era of Assassins Creed games came out and a lot of us were insufferable about analyzing history to try and figure out what the next game’s plot would be, it was a deeply fun time! all of this combined into a creative intersection with history (as much history as bunch of 16 yr olds with access to a public library can do) and I have been living in that kind of creative space ever since
bc all of this overlapped at once and I think the end result is that I just. really love history and storytelling at a very loud frequency. I tried to be normal about Crassus and that lasted less than a week lmaooo I have put that man in a narrative blender and he is never getting out
so! all of that is to say that I am forever delighted if I am able to pass along any amount of this enthusiasm for history forward to someone else the way those two teachers did for me
(also thank you, I love drawing noses so much, the secret is that I spend a lot of time drawing profiles in my sketchbooks because I like the shapes. just pages of noses)

Hi! Just followed your blog and I love your art. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for getting into Black Cat comics? I’ve mostly only seen her in Silk and wanted to get into reading her storyline more but don’t know where to start. Do you have any recommendations?
Ahh omg tysm!!! I definitely have recs for Felicia!! 😸 I’m not going to include every appearance she’s ever had but my rec list is gonna be pretty heavy bc she’s my fav 🫶🫶 I’m also gonna include some non-canon comics, miscellaneous media, and fanfics I enjoy because i have so many recs LMAO
Earth-616
I’m gonna try to keep these in order but no promises!! This begins with Fel’s first appearance and ends with her latest appearance.

Mary Jane & Black Cat: Dark Web #1-5 (Only #1 & #2 are out atm but I’m including the next three issues for future reference!)
Non-Canon/Not Earth-616
Spider-Man Noir (2009) #1-4 and Spider-Man Noir: Eyes without a Face #1-4 (Obviously I wouldn’t be a Peterfel main if i didn’t suggest SM Noir. My user is literally Earth-90214 I basically have to.)
Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Black Cat Strikes (This one’s actually a tie-in with the Insomniac Spider-Man DLC: the Heist!!)
Spider-Gwen #5, #26, #33 (Black!Felicia is a pretty popular hc and one both me and my mutuals use so a canonical black Fel variant is definitely on my rec list.)
Exiles vol 3 #9 (Another WOC Felicia Hardy and probably one of my favorite Felicia variant suits! She’s not a major character but I like her panels so I’m including this on the list.)
What If…? #4 (1989) (Follows Felicia after Peter dies because of bonding with the symbiote suit.)
What If…? #21 (1989) (What if Peter married Felicia)
Misc Media
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, and Insomnic’s Spider-Man: The Heist/ Silver Linings DLC are all games that have Felicia in them!! I believe that the Spider-Man 2 (2004) game and TASM games from 2012 & 2014 also have Fel in them but I haven’t watched those play throughs so I can’t say for certain how much content there is.
There are some cut scenes from TASM 2 that feature Felicity Jones as Felicia working for Harry Osborn! Unfortunately we never get to see her in costume but she still does a great job and I wish we got her as Fel in TASM 3 🥲
Spider-Man: the Animated Series (1994): s1 eps 2-7 & 10, s2 eps 1-2/6-10, s3 eps 4-6/12-13, s4 eps 2-7, s5 eps 1/7/8-12
Spectacular Spider-Man: s1e10, s2e12
Spider-Man (2017) s1ep4, s2ep1 (I actually can’t stand this show, but its the only adaptation that portrays Felicia’s glowing, cat-like eyes seen in her first appearance so for that, it gets a pass.)
Fanfics
Felicia has a pretty small ao3 tag with <1,500 works, but there are some fantastic fics that I definitely suggest reading (and authors you should definitely follow)!!
@the-cat-and-the-birdie has a Post-NWH Peterfel/PeterMjFel fic that I’ve really been enjoying and is currently ongoing!!
@seek--rest !! Seek’s mostly an mcu/spideychelle writer but has some really fantastic Felicia-centric/Felicia appearance fics up that i definitely suggest.
Both of @traincat’s Insomniac Peterfel fics are great reads that are on my (very short) list of fics i regularly re-read.
@justmattycakes’s Insomniac Peterfel series is another series on my re-read list! 10/10
any fic in @splendidnothings’s peterfelweek ao3 collections/works. Going thru the @peterfelweek blog or tag in general is a great place to find fics and art.
Naturally I have to suggest myself as well 🤭 I just started a new Peterfel series that I’m looking forward to updating soon! It’s a comic au without a solid timeline and is mostly just interconnected oneshots that center domestic Peterfel. I’m also working on a Felicia-centric fic based on a really cool headcanon that @peterbwatsonparker sent me about psychic/medium Felicia that I’m hoping to post in the next few weeks!! I also have a decent amount of headcanons posted on my blog that never made it into full fics, but my most popular ones (and my personal favorites) are my Mutant!Felicia headcanons.
Obviously these are just my personal recs, so I’m definitely missing some stuff, but if you’d like a complete list of Fel’s mainstream comic appearances you can find that here!!

Do you have any tips/suggestions for making OCs?
character design plays a big role. a lot of what I've learned is from reflecting on why I like certain characters and watching videos from Brookes Eggleston - Character Design Forge (i will ALWAYS recommend him hehehe)
(here are some AMAZING resources and what i do personally to make my characters and write them thru comics and text)
here's some good ones:
5 Ways to Make a Character More Likable
How To Make Original Characters People Care About
How To Make Good Flaws vs Bad Flaws for Likable Characters
4 Original Character Pitfalls
I usually go about designing characters that are fairly easy for me to draw over and over. if i get stressed out drawing this oc simply standing, i wont enjoy drawing them in other stuff. I also like to give myself little "treats" while drawing. for example: for Cherie, i really like drawing her chubby face, heart blush, and big cute eyes. for Selena, ive been having so much fun drawing her hair and playing with gravity with it (like when the wind blows her front hair sways hehe).
I also make sure their personalities are enjoyable to read as much as possible. for amazo, he's a goofy hero who tries his absolute best to be the hero the city needs him to be and the partner Steven needs him to be but there's always an internal struggle between balancing the two and he's so critical of himself when he can't do it all. this tells the reader that he's got a very strict moral compass and he's very selfless but knows how to liven the mood and is very creative in how he entertains others and himself. I made Selena for the "Amazo-era" because his pursuit of control and her pursuit of chaos and goofs compliment each other perfectly storytelling-wise.
also I try to limit what i describe so bluntly bc its so much more fun to learn about a character through storytelling like comics, fics, etc. because the reader gets the chance to understand this character like unfolding a mystery and it's very enjoyable. im sure if she-ra released a bunch of infodumping character sheets before we saw the show, we probably wouldn't have cared bc we wouldn't have gotten to understand her complex character through the relationships and struggles she forms and faces in the show. humans like putting together pieces! we are a species that likes solving puzzles a LOT. i have an amazing friend that i infodump to and i love them so much <3 that way the readers can discover the characters themselves but u can still give into the infodumping urge LOL
funny enough drawing your oc in a bunch of different situations will make u a better artist sometimes even unknowingly xD if u look at my art before and after i started drawing amazo like everyday, you'd see MAJOR improvement xD i had no idea that was happening bc i was just goofin' and drawing whatever but it really helped!
i hope these tips help <3 ocs are so fun to draw and write!

Close enough to 2024 to ramble about this year and the coming one. I have goals.
Writing goals are first and foremost. Those will be the main focus of the year. It's my life and my career after all. If I couldn't find time for writing, I really wouldn't care about the rest. I love writing too much to want to do anything else more than that. XD - Publish Geckos, Automata. If it sells, that'd be great. I'm beginning to think it won't. Publishing it anyway, never shutting up about it, gonna keep spamming it until my followers either interact or just leave. - Tweaking the ending of That's... Not a Cat. Polishing cover. Putting it out there as an ebook. - Rewriting Stargazers' Hill. The thing I said I wouldn't do, but I have ideas on how to fix it, and I badly want to stay with those stupid characters even longer. (I get way too attached. My worst traits as an author, maybe? Don't care, I do what I want. :P ) I can't predict the rest because I don't trust my muses, but I suppose I'm going to work on a bunch of other things, from dragon universe stories to other things I've started. New stories are springing up, and I need to water them~ Really excited about developing Hervey/Algernon, but I think that one needs to steep a bit. :) I'm going to also at least finish one crocheted dragon. Probably Willow. Or Tessa's human form. Will post with writing so you can't have crochet without my writing content attached, bc honestly fuck all the pain crochet brings me. :) (Though I do want to finish my KHUX stained glass blanket, which I probably won't post when I'm done, bc I don't post my non-writing-related crochet 99% of the time. I just tell people I don't crochet so they stop asking for free patterns/gifts/tutorials/etc. So yeah. Don't crochet around here, fuck that shit.) Anyway. :) Money isn't great, so I probably won't play too many games, but I will be playing MISSING LINK when it comes out since it's F2P mobage (which is... ugh, but my favorite part of KH lore has been on the mobile games of all things). And Fantasy Life i, I saved already for that. ;A; This year, I did play some great games! Mostly on my switch. To no one's surprise, RF4 Special is here. Favorite game of all time. Harvestella is a rare treat, highly recommend. :D
Tumblr media
And onto reading goals... thinking 90 books for my 2024 goal! My books this year are at 130 currently, and probably won't get much higher if at all unless I finish my re-read of Chobits, but here's that list:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of these are re-reads, many are not. Quite a few indie books, quite a bit of manga/comics in there... I re-read Loveless after deleting that I read it on Goodreads due to the controversy, but I have thoughts about how it explores abuse and think it's a really intriguing series for that matter alone. (It also has beautiful art and is taboo as hell, but you can find the block button if you need it, can't you? <3 ) Many amazing reads this year, hoping to read more from several of these authors! And some I realllllly love and clearly will continue to read (Yuhki Kamatani, Rin Chupeco, Nghi Vo, etc.) This isn't including all I read on AO3. Which is quite a bit.

Robooty Reviews: Yandere Kanojo (7/10)
Tumblr media
My first manga I ever laid mein precious little eyes upon... hoo boy is this one nostalgic! You can definately see how it influenced my artstyle lol. It's incredibly charming imo and i fuckin love it. anyways this manga is about a yankee girl reina and her new nerdy boyfriend tanaka (who is most definately not a yankee) and them having slice of life swag together. It's all done in a 4-koma style but is incredibly charming with a delightful cast of fun characters and quite a few interesting dynamics + jokes! Just be careful, there two versions of this story, the print and online one and they contain the same plot but have different comics each. I recommend reading both since its kinda like getting more in between stories (except when it comes to the end with the more plot heavy stuff then they diverge a bit)
you know robooty okay GIRLSEME FOREVERR!!!! I LOVED REINA AND TANAKA AS A KID MMMM THEIR DYNAMIC IS SUPPPPPERR NICE I LOVE THEM THEYRE SO CUTE TOGETHER UWAAA!! I will say that when i was younger i struggled to appreciate tsubasa and hijiri properly, but now I quite enjoy their addition to the friend group. I also have always loved the cafe manager and his gay ass chef. I used to reference the pannel where he goes "okay now stand next to me so i can grab your ass every once in a while (itll keep me motivated)" all the time. I do appreciate how in the print version theres also the long ass baseball arc but thats just because i love baseball lol
but okay. imma be ngl rn guys. this manga scored a whole extra point or two purely because it has Ran and Kouichirou Ryuuzaki (reinas parents). Guys. They are the best fucking couple ever. I WISH THERE WAS AN ENTIRE SIDE MANGA FOR THEM THEYRE SO GOOD THEYRE SO GOOD UGHH I LOVE HUSBAND WIFEEEE!!! The yandere in the title is actually supposed to stand for "yankee-dere" (lol shows age doesnt it?) but its alright, because ran is a true yandere. Shes protective and smiley and cutsey and literally kills people and has a demon in her heart. and her husband kouichirou has a scary face and insane social anxiety so everyones terrified of him because he just stares at people but its because hes terrified of everyone else. ITS SO GOOODDDDDD!!!! SHES SO OBSESSED WITH HIM AND ADORES HIM AND HE LOVES HER INCREDIBLY DEARLY TOO GIVE ME THE FUCKING MANGA SPIN OFF THATS JUST THEM!!!! RANS INCREDIBLE I WANT HER TO BE MY GIRLSEME WIFE. AND I WANT KOUICHIROU TO BE MY BOYUKE HUSBAND BECAUSE HES JUST SOOOOOOOOOooOoO CUTE! I still draw fanart of those two... theyre amazing and adorable i love them...
ALSO THE YURI SIDE COUPLE. WELL... THEYRE IMPLIED TO BE YURI BUT OHHH MY GAWDDD. LOOK ROBOOTY DOESNT REALLY LIKE YURI AS IN I LIKE IT BUT I USUALLY DONT REALLY EAT IT UP BC I CANT GET INVESTED YKNOW? ME IN THE IDGAF WARS. BUT THIS YURI. SO. GOOD. I WANT MORE. MORE CHAPTERS. GIVE ME MORE FUCKING YURI. SUMIKA X NANAMI FOR FUCKING EVER UGHHH PLEASE GIVE ME MOREEEEE!!!!
Anyways, this mangas really good lol. I like it a lot, it isnt winning any nobel prizes but I find it quite charming and a really nice read when youre dicking around on the bus. The art is really good and the jokes land a lot and are quite funny ^_^ Please consider checking this one out guys!

Hi! Uh, I want to get into Sonic. Any shows/games you would reccomend starting with? An order? Also!! What's your favorite iteration of sonic (if you have one)
i think this might be THE question every sonic fan is dying to be asked. that is to say, hell yeah it would be my pleasure to make some recommendations >:]
best things to try as a very first introduction to the hedgehog and friends (that are still relatively bitesized or accessible):
the official animations for sonic mania, team sonic racing, chao in space, sonic colors, and most recently sonic frontiers. personal favorites are chao in space bc its adorable and frontiers for… obvious (knuckles) reasons (it’s about knuckles). these are short and sweet and absolutely adorable so they’re always some of the first things i recommend :] check ‘em out if you can - you won’t regret it.
on that topic, Sonic Frontiers is a solid place to start with the games! it’s the most recent release so there’s currently a demo available on switch and it’s also on sale on steam right now (until Feb 13th!). few of the games directly lead into each other so picking specific games to start with is more down to personal taste, i’ll go into more detail if you’d like but for an introduction to the series? frontiers has been very well received and many consider it a return to form after the last few games, so it’s a good place to pick up the series! EDIT: I FORGOT ABOUT GENERATIONS. sonic generations is basically a Best-Of compilation of sonic’s most well known stages and it’s also perfect for a first time player. it was MY first game. how on earth did i forget about it. anyway it’s also on steam and it kicks ass!!!
alternately, much of the franchise was codified in the adventure games, so if you prefer starting at the beginning, they’re big recommendations as well! both Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 are on steam and MANY playthroughs are online. SA2 was also the first of the sonic fandubs, so if you’ve seen any of those memes that’s where they’re from.
also, if you’re into zelda games you’ll probably love frontiers. but if you prefer 2D/pixel art games, Sonic Origins just came out last summer and contains rereleases of the first four sonic games and Mania is always a fun option! alternately, try here for a taste of sonic 2 :]
comics!! comics!!!!! the IDW Sonic The Hedgehog comics are killing it lately and double as canon and ridiculously fun. the first arc is issues 1-12 and if that won’t sell you on this funky little guy, well, there’s a lot more options too! you can find the IDW run here - but support your local comic shop if you can!
for a little more bite-sized try the recent miniseries scrapnik island! it’s standalone from the main storyline and considering you’re a ninjago fan i think you’ll enjoy a fun story about morally complex robots :D
the Archie series is amazing at times and so bad it’s funny at others - but what isn’t? while i am a HUGE fan it does require quite a bit of time and investment. other recommendations from the 300 issue+ legacy of sonic comics are available on request (i do not know how to shut up <3)
tv shows!! Sonic Prime just released on Netflix and it slaps. not the most traditional sonic but it’s fun as hell and ongoing - we’re only ⅓ into the first season and there’s at least two guaranteed. the animation is astounding and it’s coincidentally produced by wildbrain just like current ninjago. i edited one of it’s kickass fight scenes here
this is almost certainly far more than you need but i love talking about this series so thanks for humoring me :] i hope you enjoy them!! hmmm… they’ve all got their own appeal to me but lately i’ve been watching a lot of playthroughs while drawing (and i eagerly await the frontiers dlc so i have an excuse to replay it) and i think atm game sonic’s my favorite! the comics are delightful and the shows always have their own twists but i love good ‘ol game sonic… the others are more than just facets of his character and have their own great stories, but there’s something special about the original. this message brought to you by how absolutely astounding his characterization is in Sonic Unleashed. we missed you big guy. hope you have fun!!

Soo Marcy aus! I don't know who made the expression sheets, but lets get into the aus! (See info below the cut on the aus!) ((also, if you have an au in this and don't want it, tell me and I can scribble/remove it out if you want!!))
A1, F1 and F7 (Orginal, Calamity (She go Blep!) and Adult) are all from the original show.
B1 (marky) is from the Fandom, while E7 (Darcy) is heavily inspired from the fandom.
C1, A7, and F2 aus, (Left behind, God and Cursed respectively) were designed by my friend. Left behind is well, being left in Amphibia. God is being a god and Cursed is based off my other expression sheet draw here.
E2 (fantasy au) was created by the lovely @tinydragontoons! Thank you for letting me draw her and lovely Mars! Def. go check them out. They got lots of art!!
E1 (True calamity) was inspired by a youtube video: THIS By the lovely Rezmei Seno!!
A2 (medieval) was not directly from someone but was heavily inspired by many people. There are so many medieval aus I couldn't just choose one!
B2 (PJO aka Percy Jackson Au) is VERY inspired (and also from) the amazing @raqueliie 's au!! I highly recommend checking it out if you have not. Their art is also AMAZING!
C2 and B4 (Good ending and Bad ending) are both from my mini-series "what if"? comics I like to doodle in my sketchbook. Also D4 (beyond Amphibia) is another, (newer) part to my "What If-?" mini series. Its where the trio stay in amphibian and go to the new continent previously undiscovered.
D2 (amphibia as a child) is also very widely popular and I love it.
A3 and B7 (Swap!Sasha and Swap!Anne) are designed by me, but there are bunches out there and its really fun to see what could have happened!
B3 (only Human au) was orginally inspired by one of @themissakat aus. I don't originally recall which one started this particular au, but I do know that if you want to find more aus, go to their page and you will have aus for YEARS! Its beautiful.
C3 is obviously my au. (Lost au) If you want to know more, you can go here. Summary is, its a corruption au but worse. And in context for this, Marcy isn't fully corrupted yet.
D3 (superhero au) and C4 (fairytale au) are also aus of one of my friends. The super hero, they got powers. In fairy tale, I really have no clue where its going, but all I know is that it's pretty gay.
E3 (owl house swap), B5 (Hogwarts) and A6 (UA - MHA/My Hero Academia au) are all fandom swaps and I just adore fandom swaps.
F3 (Ghost au) is also very fandom what if. Probably one of my favorite au ideas, and its certainly fun to mess with. There are lots of people who have added to this au.
A4 (Zombie au) and A5 (Soulmates au, and yes that is Sashannarcy my beloved) are very popular au ideas so I just had to add them. Any people to point to? No, but once again, The Missa Kat does have a zombie au!
E4 (Gender swap) is special. The reason why the gender swap is facing away (not just bc that was in the expression sheet) was kinda just, because they look the same XD. I have no known knowledge of any current aus of that, but maybe there is some that I'm just previously unaware of!
F4 (Power of Three au!!) is one of my LONG TIME FAVORITE aus. I have been a huge fan of this one. Its one of @honneibun 's aus and its so AMAZING! I highly recommend just looking at it. Its beautiful and It will always live rent free in my brain.
C5 (streamer/YT au) is from a fic I read a long time ago which never finished. If anyone can tell me who and where it is, I will be glad and my life will finally be complete. D5 (Author au, NOT COMIC BOOK AUTHOR) is heavily inspired by the time skip and the above (C5) streamer/YT au. As far as I am aware, there are no current aus with this.
E5 (Oversimplified), well. I think you guys can probably guess. On YT there is a Simplified or Oversimplified series (idk maybe its called "So this is basically _____ "or something and I thought, Amphibia should be included!) and so.. yeah!
B6 (opposite au), I.. really do not like that one and will probably or def change it. Idk what was going through my head as I drew/edited it.
C6 (Never went to Amphibia au) is another popular one that I just HAD to include.
D6 is apart of my SCP aus that I also have. If you don't know what SCP is, then.. there's a website. Basically it stands for Sucure, Contain and Protect and it holds all the supernatural and dangerous creatures. (Its not real guys!)
E6 (newt au) is basically swapped Amphibia au. Very popular and I sometimes wished that there were more of them.
F6 (roommates au) however was HEAILY inspired and particially from I think @kyoryu 's au on twitter? I think its the same one. If its wrong than I can change it, but I'm pretty sure I'm right?
C7 (Animal au) I've seen everywhere and soo... I added it. No known (main) aus on it.
Finally, D7 (Alien au) Another one of my various multifandom aus that sit in my BIG BOOK OF AUS in the corner of my work area. Its always fun like that!!
If any of these are wrong or you think that I didn't give any credit to _____, just let me know and I shall change it.
also wow, you read it too here! Impressive!

Hey I love your art! I really love your stuff with KaiJug and Moongene. I was wondering if you had any recommendations on fanfictions that are similar? Like emotion monsters? (People that grow with high emotions and become more monstrous the bigger they get) Or someone getting gradually bigger without even noticing until they're really tall? I can never seem to find this kind of stuff to read and your art is the closest and really amazing. Do you have any ideas? Thank you!
Took me a while to answer this, but I'm sorry I'm the woooorrst person to ask this bc I'm a heathen and hardly ever read any fics at all! TToTT I just am terrible with reading in general. Used to do a lot in school bc it was required, but once I had a choice I just... have hardly done it since. Even fun stuff. I even skim comics, I'm so bad. ADHD will do that to a person tho I guess. I'm not sure if I could recommend anything like it, but I know it's out there. Searching for things nowadays is just so much harder and unhelpful unfortunately, so I'm sorry... But I'm glad you enjoy my stuff! I draw, but I do plan to make at least some of them into full stories one day. KaiJug I want to pitch as an animated series eventually. A lot of my older stuff also has those themes but they're just random comics and art I've posted over the years. You can go through my art tag sometime to find some or head to my DA where there's a lot older stuff. Links are in my bio!

mid-year book freak out tag
Les Bookes: read them, love them, write absurdly long posts about them📚
1. Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2022? sadly i haven’t yet read anything that would blow my mind this year but i think my top 3 would be the power of the dog by thomas savage, empire of the vampire by jay kristoff and these violent delights by micah nemerever. the premise and the characters of the power of the dog are *chef’s kiss*, love me some evil gays and family dramas, but it’s kinda,, unfocused? it does that thing often found in classics when you want to get to the juicy stuff but the book’s like nooo veggies themes first. but the payoff is amazing and the ending is abrupt and very bold so i do recommend it if you don’t mind the slow pace. empire of the vampire is an extremely fun and very tropey high fantasy book with 🙌vampires🙌 and just a tinge of gayness. i’d heard a lot of mixed things about kristoff’s edgy writing style so i could mentally prepare and in the end i had a great time. i do have a lengthy list of criticisms, half of which are some version of “could’ve been much gayer“, but i suppose you have to accept the baby steps of cishet male fantasy authors, sighh🙄 and these violent delights is just a very solid dark academia book. a rare case when a book truly delivers on the buzzwords and comparisons mentioned in the blurb, so if hitchcock’s rope, leopold & loeb or the secret history give alluring vibes, check it out. (based on the afterword and the author’s bio i can safely say he’s my doppelgänger lol. i wish i could link that afterword somehow bc it’s like someone gazed into my soul and put it on paper). however, this book does read like a debut and in my opinion could’ve benefited from a couple of additional drafts in the course of which it should’ve preferably lost some of it’s ya-ness😬
2. Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2022? the queen of attolia was the best one and definitely leagues better than the first book in the series but artificial condition isn’t far behind🧡 also the winter of the witch was a very satisfying conclusion to the winternight trilogy😊
3. New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To? vale aida, the author of the magpie ballads, just published her second book - it’s called hostis and as far as i understand it’s a mm enemies to lovers historical romance set in ancient rome. i would pick it up immediately but it’s the first installment in a duology (?) and i’m afraid i’ll have to wait for book two and read them back to back bc if it’s anything like her previous books it’s gonna be very slow burn and i wouldn’t be able to handle any cliffhangers. but who knows, maybe i won’t have enough patience anyway lol. i also just finished dream boy and now want to pick up jim grimsley’s most recent release - the dove in the belly - which sounds like a grittier version of heartstopper
4. Most Anticipated Release For Second Half of 2022? definitely fence vol. 5! in the last volume we finally had some skin to skin contact, who knows what depravities the next one will bring😅 there are also a couple of tumblr-adjacent comics i’m excited about: twelve percent dread by emily mcgovern from @emilyscartoons (which actually might be out already🤔) is about the quarter life crisis and working as a tutor in a rich family - both things i’m an expert in - and it’s gotta be hilarious if the snippets the author posted so far are anything to judge by. the dead romans (?) webcomic by @apolinariomabinis is the other one and i’m not so sure about the details but i think the homoerotic cassius/brutus art i’ve been religiously reblogging for the past couple of weeks are actually rejected scenes from a comic which the creator is gonna start posting in july :D
(tbh the og answers to the two previous questions were to paradise by hanya yanagihara and babel by rf kuang but now that i’ve read some early reviews i’m not that excited about these books anymore😬)
5. Biggest Disappointment? fucking vampire chronicles! *deep inhale* so. was anybody going to tell me that anne rice isn’t a good writer or was i just supposed to REread three of her books and find it out myself?? interview with the vampire is passable but underwhelming, the movie is by far superior imo, especially tom cruise’s portrayal of lestat. the vampire lestat is disappointing bc rice was just determined to retcon everything and make lestat a generic chosen one protag. but hey! at least the armand parts were good, right? well ig joke’s on me for picking up the vampire armand only to realize that as soon as rice makes someone a protag their personality is gone. but then, ig it’s true for her writing in general: her character work is just atrocious bc all of them feel the same and if you tune out for a minute and miss the scene change (which i sure did bc these books are boring af) you will never be able to tell you’re reading about different people now. her plots are ridiculous to non existent, her vampire lore gets ever more batshit (derogatory) the further you read and i find her preferred themes of religious guilt etc etc extremely tiresome. her prose is undeniably beautiful but if anything these books will forever be the example i hold up to prove that prose alone can’t carry a story. anyways,, at least it had some high quality smut👌 i just wish i could read it in a book like empire of the vampire instead ugh
6. Biggest Surprise? a density of souls by christopher rice who is, ironically, anne rice’s son😅 based on the blurb i thought it was gonna be some form of dark academia but it starts like one of those 2000s high school movies that are either nostalgic or didn’t age very well and then spirals into a high stakes intergenerational melodrama of massive proportions (the climax involves a freaking hurricane!) and goes to some very juicy taboo places with its characters’ relationships. the cherry on top is the afterword rice wrote for the new edition in which he recounts many a hilarious anecdote about his experience writing this book as a 20yo gay son of a very famous author and which was probably the funniest thing i read this year, all the more amusing for its contrast in tone to the melodramatic novel. another big surprise or ig more of a hidden gem was heart of stone by johannes t. evans which is a historical slice of life mm romance between an adhd vampire and his autistic secretary. (yes, i’m having a vampire themed reading year😁). very cute and wholesome, deliciously slow burn, binged it overnight but was somewhat let down by the ending bc imo the misunderstanding plot device overstayed its welcome and - oh horror! - the smut was fade to black😩 i mean the book’s still good but you can’t tease your readers with homoerotic blood drinking and then not deliver >:(
7. Favorite New Author? this year i read strangers on a train by patricia highsmith and can now safely say she’s one of my favorite authors. absolutely love her approach to thriller which is not about building up a mystery and resolving it in a satisfying way (forget about that lol) but instead about exploring the minds and feelings of her unhinged queercoded poor little meow meow characters. the same goes for philippe besson - i read another one of his “autobiographies” and i suppose if i’d read them in english his writing style would steer on the cringier side but it seems very appropriate in french. very excited to read dîner à montréal now to find out who this frenchman allegedly fucked next👀 i also have high hopes for christopher rice and shirley jackson to become my new favorite authors as soon as i read more books by them :)
8. Newest Favorite Character? murderbot is an aroace icon and “i'm in this picture and i don't like it” kind of relatable BUT phil burbank is a crusty man i can put into the washing machine and spin very fast hehe. also honorable mentions to father konstantin - very cool of katherine arden to write this frollo knock off character and then have him gay kiss unholy demons, 10/10
9. Newest Fictional Crush? marquis jean françois of the blood chastain. would drink from him on three separate nights any time😏 or whatever you need to do to get vampire married in eotv
💕Best Ships💕 an additional question selected and approved by me with the purpose of drawing the booklerina council’s attention to the fact that the framing narrative in empire of the vampire is basically damen/laurent interview with the vampire au which begs for fanfic writers who would go down the path jay kristoff was too cowardly to tread. (unless he plans to go there later in the series in which case i take back all the criticism😅 i do love me a slow burn but as of now book two is nowhere in sight so the point still stands). another fictional love story that stood out to me this year was ofc that of eugenides and attolia. didn’t care for how they got together in the end but the,, “inciting incident” for that relationship was sooo up my alley and the enemies to lovers banter was very good😏
10. Book That Made You Cry? the winter of the witch had all the bittersweet stuff the conclusion to a series should have and so it definitely made me tear up a couple of times but the book that made me cry the most this year was un certain paul darrigrand by philippe besson. life that gets in between two lovers, the dramatic farewells, the scar kissing, the flashforward scene many years in the future in which paul implies he regrets the choices he made way back when... there’s something about the unfulfilled love stories besson tells that makes you think how foolish, if only the characters said this, if only they did this instead, there would’ve been a lovely happy ending - and then you remember that it’s not characters you’re talking about, it’s real life people bc these books are at least inspired by besson’s own life, and so there’s no “what if”, there’s only what they did and where it led them😥
11. Book That Made You Happy? the porn fantasy webcomic for some inexplicable reason known as oglaf makes me very happy. very soothing to watch diverse pansexual cartoon people fuck and make funny jokes😌 the ladies of grace adieu by susanna clark was and the will darling adventures by kj charles (which i’m currently reading) are also a well of positive emotions. but i would be lying if i failed to mention that the bookish experience which is making me the happiest this year is re-reading the lymond chronicles with @starlingshrike🥰
12. Favorite Book Adaptation You Saw This Year? the power of the dog. i’m cheating a bit bc i watched it last year when it came out on netflix but it’s a good adaptation and a good film whereas the few i watched this year did not impress. *cough* heartstopper *cough*
13. Favorite Review You’ve Written This Year? the humongous vampire armand rant i wrote exclusively for katie in our tumblr chat lol
14. Most Beautiful Cover? empire of the vampire uk cover is gorgeous! the art inside the book not so much😬
15. What Books Do You Need To Read By The End of The Year? sighh remember i made a list of top 5 books to read in 2022? half the year is gone and i only finished one of them🙈 with fire and sword is on top of my pile of shame bc i started it all the way back in january and am still only a few chapters in. the other ones are the last two nightrunner books, fire and hemlock and rebecca - let’s hope i manage to read them this year after all, fingers crossed. the tbr pile of shame also includes you love me by caroline kepnes which was already featured on the last year’s mid-year tag🙈🙈 i also want to continue with the murderbot diaries and the queen’s thief as well as give another chance to gideon the ninth. hopefully i’ll also be reading more from the mlm authors i discovered in the recent months: the dove in the belly and dîner à montréal i already mentioned, to those i would add the snow garden by christopher rice which sounds like a very juicy thriller about a “a dark dance of sexual manipulation, twisted retribution, and murderous rage” between a married college professor and his secret student lover. sign. me. in.
i cordially invite @figuringthengsout @counterwiddershins @jimscoffee @fugitoidkry @magpiefngrl @sugarbabywenkexing @fandomreferencepending @pemberlaey @oliviermiraarmstrongs @moonsandstarsaregay @bellaroles @hello-jumping-in-puddles @thehalcyonharbinger to yell at me about the books you guys read this year :D

anneeways here are my top DC comics that i remember deeply enjoying and i would easily recommend to anyone... although i havent read them in like 5-ish years atp and my opinions may not still match up to my current taste. still its a fun thing to make a list of and i will enjoy revisiting these comics later
no particular order from best to worst, just what i can recall:
- tiny titans (DUH)
- teen titans go, this is like Kindaa a DC comic.. kinda.. like its the side comics for the 2003 animated series.. i mean i guess it is. regardless theyre good anyways but u wouldnt understand anything w/o context from the show. regardless its art is AMAZING
- blind justice, oh boy.... i remember being so 😳 reading it... like even now i cant believe that this comic is barely talked abt and acknowledged bc it was sooo good... im going to revisit it soon and see if my opinion still holds up. regardless of what i may think abt the writing, the art is still fantastic
- whatever happened to the man of steel
- the books illustrated by alex ross, the writing is honestly some of the most basic shit ever from what i remember, but the illustrations are out of this world.
- under the red hood DUHHHHH... like this was a comic i could not put down when i started reading it. gorgeous art too. but skip lost days lmao
- marv wolfman + george perez 'original' teen titans run.. like dude this shit is GOOD... marv wolfman is an amazing writer, and george perez art is amazing too... im too sleepy to really make it clear of just how much of an impact this series left on comic books in general... like u dont need to know dc in general to be able to pick this up and enjoy it. i read it in like 2016/2017 like decades after its publishing, and the writing was still so so good
- speaking of marv wolfman + george perez excellency... crisis on infinite earth. this is such a strange recommendation bc its such a DC thing, in fact its The DC thing, but like. even if u dont know a single superhero, its still really really really damn good. its saur good

deadly class au
Neil has heard about final exams. At Kings Dominion, the elite academy where damaged teenagers are forged into the world’s deadliest assassins, the final exam is one of the best and worst kept secrets amid the upperclassmen. The game is this: kill all the unaffiliated rats and move to take your place in the savage hierarchy of the school. For the rats? To survive.  Pass or Fail, no one gets through the Freshman Finals without getting blood on their hands. And Neil has heard about Andrew. The infamous sophomore, who killed his mother for raising a hand against his twin, only to turn against him in the end. The only rat to survive finals, at the cost of his brother. They say was barely enough left to identify Aaron Minyard.
Neil knows the rumors. Buts he also knows Andrew. And he knows that Andrew doesn’t lie. Aaron had wanted out. Out of King’s Dominion, out of this world of petty, vindictive teenage assassins. But no one gets to walk away from this.  So if Aaron really is dead, then who had Kaitlyn been talking to? And who the fuck was in their dorm yesterday, because it sure as shit hadn’t been Andrew.
And if Aaron isn’t dead.... then Andrew has a weakness.

ive also stopped reading nightwing issues bc of all the same reasons uve posted lol.
u know those recommendation lists like "if you read book X, you might like Y" ? do u have any similar recommendations for fans of nightwing who are just tired of his recent runs? can be fanfic, old issues/ runs, other fandoms!
Hey there! How have you been doing?
It sucks that you have also stopped reading Nightwing, I think that the fact that many people have stopped investing their time in that run is very telling of both Tom Taylor’s writing and DC’s approach to Dick and Barbara as individual characters.
I hope better times (and comics) come our way!
As for recommendations, I have some in mind right now, I will list them down below!
Other Dick Grayson/Nightwing books I enjoy:
Future State: Nightwing
This book was pure bliss, two issues of competent Dick Grayson, leader of the resistance and the great comeback of his mechanic tendencies!
Outsiders vol.3
Dick is flawed, he is a shell of the person he used to be and is going through an immense rough time. This book shows us just how much the nickname “golden boy” doesn’t work for him at times. Dick is deep down still Dick but he also acts like a dick. Judd Winick makes him bearable thanks to the team by his side but most importantly thanks to Roy Harper who makes the perfect companion for Dick.
Nightwing vol.3 (New 52)
Alright, I know, New 52 was shit for the most part but I truly believe that Kyle Higgins did an amazing job with what he was given. His Dick/Nightwing was very sad and lonely but he was a beast, he was competent, an excellent fighter and extremely resilient when confronted with terrible upon terrible situations. To me this is a wonderful run if you pull it away from the whole New 52 narrative.
Batman: Gates of Gotham
They really popped off when DC gave us this beauty with Dick!Bats. The art and story are really worth anyone’s time. It is story heavy but it really gives us a look on what Dick was able to do as Batman even without his Robin. Detective heavy stuff.
Batman: Prelude to the Wedding: Nightwing vs. Hush
Now, this issue might have the advantage of Travis Moore’s ridiculously gorgeous art but the story is quite good too. We get a look at just how important Dick is, was and will be to Bruce and we also get some “unreliable narrator” vibes from Dick. If it was intended or not, I don’t know, but I can still appreciate it.
Nightwing: Old Friends, New Enemies.
Well, this one is on the list because it has the recompilation of “Cheshire’s Contact”. Those amazing issues in which Roy Harper trusts Dick only with getting his daughter back. Very enjoyable and a story that I would love to see made canon again.
Batman: Prodigal.
That’s a solid book, it is a good book to read if you want to see a bit of how Dick did in his first time as Batman and that time with Tim by his side. Not only are we offered Dick!Bats but we also get to see a more “domestic” side of him. Alfred left the Manor with Bruce so all the chores have to be done by Dick and it is always a good reminder for people who are convinced that Dick is a “human disaster” and cannot attend his own needs.
Nightwing vol.2 (#140 to #153)
Tomasi’s turn on that roller-coaster of a book was a good way to end it. He pushed Dick/Nightwing’s status up in every single way. Dick was a protector, leader, detective and so much more. His skillset and will to be (and become) better were always there. If you are looking for some BAMF Dick Grayson this is the place.
Other books that don’t have Dick Grayson:
Yeah, I can offer you some marvel… don’t know if that’s your cup of tea but check then out if you feel like it.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2020) #6
You could read the entire run (it is complete), it is honestly amazing. It is a team book so you won’t find many of the issues to be related to a single character. However, #6 offers an in depth look at Richard Rider (Nova). Richard is a leader, a team player and an excellent hero, but just like Dick he tends to put a lot over his shoulders and take the blame for things that maybe he shouldn’t. This issue is all about him and how he deals (or not) with his demons and everything else in his life.
Black Widow (2020)
This (ongoing) book is a masterpiece, Kelly Thompson is someone that sometimes misses me with her takes but ever since she took a hold of Nat, she has only made her more badass and interesting. This is an assassin heavy book, yes. But the villains and storytelling would really please some Nightwing readers. Dick and Nat don’t have much in common but I am sure that this book will be someone’s favourite either way.
Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider/Gwenom
This is me pushing Gwen Stacy as much as I can when I am given the chance. This book might not seem like it will match your average Nightwing connoisseur but there three separate books of Gwen’s life kinda give us the perspective of someone who might be like you and me and got powers. Gwen grows into the hero life and herself. The Spider-Gwen runs might be a bit too teenage heavy but it takes a turn once Ghost-Spider comes into place. Gwen is faced with more responsibilities, moving away from home (a whole ass different dimension) and then… Knull, 2021’s biggest Marvel Comics baddie. She is extremely fun and a bit too forward at times, it can certainly be a hit or miss but I would say that she is worth the try!
Dick Grayson Fics: I have to be sneaky; I will link here two asks in which I was asked about Jason Todd fics and I ended up recommending Dick fics that have Jason in them or “Dick and Jason are/were friends” because those fics make me weak and I just can’t help myself.
I will link the first one here! and the last one that I made here!
I hope you enjoy some (or all) these recommendations. I tried my best to remember some of my favourite Nightwing books, I got my notes back at home so I might be missing some. Maybe @hood-ex can help you out and rec amazing Dick/Nightwing books, she is my favourite Dick Grayson connoisseur!
Thank you for the ask, hope you have a lovely week!

hello I am obsessed with you and your mind, and I must ask you for recommendations of miraculous comics/fanfics/artist/etc because I trust your opinions and I am in love with you okay thanks
the way this made me laugh SDKLHSLHFW if i was not on my computer right now i would spam with the sparkly eye emoji (pleading emoji? idk what its called but its like O_O but less. creepy. okay im done)
i made this mini rec list a short while ago for some of my favorite fics off the top of my head. i would dig through my bookmarks on ao3, except i made it really recently and i only have like 7. rip
as for fancomics:
@hamsternamedmarinette invented comedy. literally so funny like.... how does her brain work? if you want a good laugh (like a full on belly laugh, wheezing laugh, painful laugh) this is the blog. every comic is just whiplash in the best way
@anna-scribbles draws them so soft???? AGAIN if i could use emojis YOU KNOW THE EMOJI IM TALKING ABOUT.... LIKE THE o_o CUTE ONE? her art is the personification of that. and its also so funny and the punchline always hits just righttt
@zoe-oneesama i think pretty much everyone knows about her Scarlet Lady AU, but just in case you don’t, it’s a reimagining of the show where chloe steals the ladybug miraculous from marinette and becomes a superpowered pain in the butt. it’s,,, so well done and really funny and lots of things that bother me from the show bother the author too so she fixes them LMAO
@buggachat again, i think everyone knows about this blog but just. top tier comedy. such funniness. but also hella angst sometimes. they’ve got a baker enemies AU going on rn and its DELICIOUS. basically hawkmoth has been defeated, everyone knows it was gabriel agreste, and adrien (who was chat noir, but never revealed his identity to mari/LB) is suspected by everyone and ostracized :( this “everyone” is namely MARINETTE who thinks he’s after her bc he found out she’s the guardian and. it is a lot so i won’t try to explain it all but hopefully that gives you the gist of it LOL
@carpisuns was debating whether to put this blog under fancomics or fanart BECAUSE SHE DOES BOTH AND SHE DOES BOTH AT THE SAME TIME AND SHE DOES THEM SO WELL !!!! FULLY COLORED COMICS? SONG LYRIC COMICS?? AND THE FEELS.... the feels hit you hard here. but the fluffy feels too so dw
now FANART
@rosekasa CUTE. SO CUTE. LIKE U JUST WANNA KISS THE ARTS LIKE MWAH they’re so cUUUUTEEEEE her style is like a marshmallow, it’s so fluffy and sweet and. its just so cute oh my god i have no other vocabulary for it
@jjuuppiter artwork? ON POINT. aus? ON POINT. ANIMATIONS? SO ON POINT !!!!! THE ANIMATIONS BLOW ME AWAY you might have seen one where it was like an anime opening as miraculous? like i didnt know the anime but i cant tell you how many times i’ve rewatched that animation BECAUSE IT IS JUST SO COOL. i love it sm its crazy good
@lc-holy this is another one of the fancomic/fanart crosses because ALL HER COMICS ARE COLORED AND SO BEAUTIFUL... i put carpisuns in comics so im putting this blog under fanart, that is the only reason LOL but PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT the work she puts into the comics is amazing and you can just see it ....... so good. such good food
@picayunearts  (for some reason tumblr wasnt linking this blog so i manually did it and hopefully i did not mess it up) literally jaw dropping. their use of colors and mood setting is GORGEOUS and as a chicken-scratch artist who never colors i am so envious LMAO. it’s just like... u can just stare it at for at least six minutes straight. at least i did
now for headcanons and stuff (there’s only 2 but i had to mention them)
@gale-gentlepenguin amazing AUs, amazing headcanons, you get the whole package, angst, comedy, fluff, NAME IT. (also amazing april fools jokes LOL)
@sariahsue lots of incorrect quotes!!! was lowkey stalking the blog to see if i could draw any LMAOOO (i think they write fics too, and im pretty sure i have read them before i had an ao3, but because im 99.9% sure and not 100% this is not under fics)
okay this got super long and i just KNOW im missing so many blogs. these are the ones i could think of off the top of my head while im in english class (oops). i will definitely add on more when i remember them, but theres just so much TALENT IN THIS FANDOM this post could be miles long and still not include everyone

Do you have any good oneshot comics or graphic novels (these can be multiple parts) my birthday is soon and im looking for ideas lol
YES I DO
first im gonna do non-dc or marvel stuff cause it's not as commonly recommended lmao
*my lesbian experience of loneliness - it's sooo heartfelt and good but it talks about sex, growing up, mental health etc so tw for dark themes: depression, sex work, nudity, self harm, eating disorder but i think if you're a young adult thats such a good comics to read
*30 days of night - it's a well written crazy well drawn zombie comics so tw for gore
*infidel - it's basically a horror story about a muslim woman who lives in a haunted building but the twist is that the supernatural being is feeding off xenophobia, racism etc - its definitely heavy on social commentary so it might not be someones thing but i really like it
*babyteeth - THIS ONES SO FUN it's basically a story about a woman giving birth to antichrist but the fun twist is that she doesn't die or anything she just navigates being a young mom of an antichrist lmao
*kim reaper - this is just cute and gay tbh it's basically about a college student who works part time as the grim reaper with a wlw romance
*v for vendetta - yeah this is written by alan moore and im forever haunted by knowing one of my favorite comics and movies exist because of a man i hate with burning passion 😀🔫
*monster portraits - sofia samatar is one of my favorite writers and I think her writing won't be for everyone so I recommend reading something of hers before buying but if you like her it's soooo worth it
*the low low woods - dc has a shockingly good run with horror comics ngl I wish they did more, this ones crazy good and once you read it you'll want to re-read it immediately shhshsh
for comics, if you're spending money i think art should be as important as writing tbh so:
*arkham asylum: a serious house on serious earth - i recommended it before but the art is the main experience with it, thats why i think it's worth the money
*batman: haunted knight, the long halloween and its sequel dark victory - tbh it's the kind of dark og batman story that i think dc should go back to doing it's just such a classic batman and robin story with amazing art
*harleen - i really like stjepan sejics work tbh but i can't recommend it often bc he either goes into fantasy (which is not my thing) or nsfw work (which idk if i should recommend people dhhshs) but harleen is good and it's beautifully drawn
*black panther: world of wakanda - ITS A WLW ROMANCE ABOUT TWO WOMEN IN DORA MILAJE IM USING CAPS CAUSE ITS GOOD SHIT!!!!!
