i’d like to read about non-white aro experiences (as well as experiences of aro people from outside the US and UK). i don’t think there are enough explicitly non-white conversations about aromanticism. i remember seeing a demographic poll a long time ago, with a majority of aromantic tumblr identifying as white, but non-white aros exist!

i want to hear from people who can’t/won’t come out because of cultural expectations or language barriers. people who use different words to describe their aromanticism. people who experience isolation from the aro community because they aren’t white (enough). i want to hear about aromanticism from new angles!

of course, no one is ever obligated to reveal their ethnicity or race online. but if anyone has seen writing on diverse aro experiences or if they want to share their own experiences, i’d like to read about other perspectives! (pls send stuff my way)

y'know what now that we've canonically established that Fourteen is more emotionally open than Ten ever was can we PLEASE get him talking about the Master, and getting more than just "we were friends at first" like PLEASE.

we now have a Doctor who has experienced two (technically three, silver beard!Simm my beloved) other regenerations of the Master: Twelve with Missy (so sad Missy never actually met Eleven on screen because oh god the CHAOS would've been PERFECT), and Thirteen with SpyMaster. Two very very different versions of the Master with very very different motivations and impacts on the Doctor and I want him to talk about it goddamnit!

I would love to have the Master return in the specials, I really would, but barring that possibility, I just want to see Fourteen actually talk about who the Master is to him.

i love the skywalker twin relationship so much, they most definitely have each others back, but what about their conflict? how would leia feel knowing her brother has forgiven darth vader for destroying her planet? for all of the sins that affected the galaxy, not just them? how does luke have the right to accept the countless pain he’s inflicted onto others? leia wouldn’t even attempt to understand it. it’s a flaw she can’t see past when it comes to luke. and how could he possibly accept that leia HASNT forgiven him? that she can’t see how difficult it was for luke to accept darth vader as his father? that he struggles with the survivors guilt, the fact that he was too late? i want them to have screaming matches

An idea I don’t see explored in VanderMorgan fics very often and deeply is Hosea’s feelings about it.

He’s Dutch’s best friend and lifelong partner in a very intimate way; Arthur says he’s like a father in many ways, does he feel Arthur is like a son? If so, how does he feel? Okay about it because he’s sure Dutch values Arthur more than most others? Conflicted because he saw Dutch with his past partners and doesn’t like the idea of Arthur being treated like that? Outraged at the whole thing because why would they throw something so complicated into the mix while they’re fighting for their lives on the run?

Falling into the dumpster like a little mouse

Falling into the dumpster that is SPN/Destiel/Cockles/Whatever is like being a little mouse and you literally fall into a dumpster. You were just searching for food because you were hungry. And when you rest on the edges of the dumpster to observe what might be into it, you see that there is your favorite food inside. So you try to catch it but not to fall, and other mice are there too.

They tell you that the food is good here, they show you the food, make you smell it, even make you taste it with the tip of your little tongue and pfufff you fall into the dumpster with them.

You try to climb up on the slippery wall of the dumpster a few times, but fail. You take a bite of your favorite food sometimes, spend time with other mice, and then go back to try and climb again but fail again. Since you fail, you might as well eat a little, so you do. You share the food with other mice because they are nice and welcoming, and then you try to climb again. And on and on and on.

After some time, you understand that there is no way out, that you'll have to stay there for the rest of your life, but it's not that bad because there is other mice here with you and there is your favorite food.

But at some point, you won't have food anymore because you all would have shared and eaten every food in there. So you'll just have to wait for someone to throw you something new, maybe your favorite food again, and hopefully you can have another perfect time with other mice in there, sharing the food together. If not, you will all be eating every last crumb, licking old packages that wrapped the food once, again and again, which is still good since you'll have the taste of your favorite food on your little mouse tongue.

Anyway, you can't come out and neither can they, you could unit your strengths and help each other out but the other mice love it there and you start to love it too. It's safe and you have companions that share the same interest, and you'll have food again and again and again, or at least you'll be able to lick old packages tasting so good.

So why go out and risk being eaten by a cat? You might as well just stay there then with your other mice friends and just enjoy it while it lasts, because one day maybe someone, a cruel human, will emtpy the dumpster (I sure hope not). Even if it happens you'll always have shared this with the other mice and will continue to do so one way or another.
