“What are you doing?” Astro questioned the bright eyed seven year old.

“I’m giving these to Kari’!” The younger repiled, picking a couple more blue and white flowers before shoving them in Astro’s face.

“A-Very nice Ei…” Astro erked while trying to keep the smile on their face.

“Do you want some, Star?” Ei asked while blinking at the nine year old.

“No thank you, why don’t you go give those flowers to Akari now?” The golden eyed sister asked.

Ei stared down at the medium sized flower pile she was holding in her pale hands. She blinked again before smiling and nodding.

“Do you think Kari’ will like them?” Ei asked before leaving.

“Yes, she will, she always wears blue and white, obviously..” Astro sighed before ruffling the shorters hair.

“Ok! Bye star!” The cute girl ran off, leaving the other behind.

“Damnit she’s cute…” Astro sighed tiredly, a fond smile growing on their face.

The red-eyed girl approached the house and knocked on the door. She heard faint small footsteps and became a little nervous.

“No, no, no! Your fine Ei…don’t get worked up..” She mummbled to herself, feeling her temperture rising.

A taller figure, still short opened the door and looked down at Ei.

“Oh! Kai, your back from the garden!” Akari smiled at the nervous former.

“A-Ah yes..u-um I actually brought something back for you..” She cursed herself from tripping over her words.

“Oh? Let’s see it, then!” Akari smiled more at the younger.

Ei fiddled with the bundle of flowers behind her back. They pulled them infront of them, showing the flowers to Akari. She held the flowers up to Akari.

“H-Here, The…Their for you..” She grummbled at the end of the sentence, frustrated by her nervous.

Akari blinked a few times, her pretty blue eyes widened. Before her eyes glazed over, like she was going to cry. Ei immeditly pulled the flowers away and panicked.

“Oh! no, no , no! Please don’t cry! I-I’m sorry! Do you not like them?!” Ei’s body temperature grew higher and higher the more she spoke.

The air became humid and flames licked the air.

“..I…I’m just…” Akari sniffled, calming herself before taking a deep breath in. “I love them, Kai. Their so pretty..” Akari’s smile made Ei make a sound in awe.

“R-Really?! W..Well here they are then..” Ei quickly placed them in Akari’s hands before she lit them on fire.

“Thank you so much, I will take care of these.” Akari held the flowers and her ocean colored eyes softened while she looked down at them.

“I’m glad…” Ei smiled as their body temperture subsided.

After Astro came back from the garden aswell, all of the Adachi’s sat down to have dinner.

It was basic, mash potatoes, roast beef, and beans. It wasn’t much, but this is what they lived off of . You see, they weren’t very welthy, the source of income coming from Akari’s magic classes mainly.

Once everyone was done eating, Ei watched as Astro helped Akari with cleaning everything up.

“Can I help?” The red-eyed girl asked.

Both Akari and Astro exchanged a look.

“Kai, sweetie, why don’t you go to your room and color in that coloring book you like so much?” Akari smiled at the younger while turning back to the dishes.

“I want to help though…” They mummbled, messing with their hands.

Astro sighed before turning towards Ei. Her eyes reflected when the moon hit them just right and Ei thought it looked pretty.

“C’mon let’s go to your room.” Astro sighed before grabbing Ei’s hand and leading her up the stairs to her themed room.

The seven year old frowned but let herself get leaded away. She knew this was about last time were she might have..lit a deceration on fire..but that was accident!

“Here.” The taller girl opened the door and lead the other in.

Ei looked around and thought their room looked blank. Their were a few photos of Astro and Akari. And only one of her orginal parents. Apprently when Kai was taken in by the two olders mother, she was holding a photo of her parents. She can’t remeber much of what happend though.

Ei’s walls were a bleak grey color and the paint was chipped in some areas. There was a camera, a flower pot holding two red and white flowers, a stuffed bunny animal, and her coloring book and pencils.

“Ah, here’s your coloring stuff.” Astro, since they were taller, reached up onto the formers shelf and sat the pencils and coloring book down at a small little desk Ei had.

The desk was the only true colorful thing in the room. It was still grey, but Ei had bought cheap stickers and absouletly coated the thing in them. The stickers were mainly different types of flowers, but they were all different colors.

The long haired white-nette sat down at the desk and opened up the coloring book. She also opened the pencil case and started coloring in silence.

Astro, on the other hand, stuck around for a little bit. Looking like they wanted to say something but they chose to stay quite. They finally opened their mouth and cut off the silence, sucessfully almost making Ei color outside of the lines.

“I…um, know you want to help Ei…but um…”

“You don’t want me setting things on fire?..” She asked.

“…Yes, I’m sorry..maybe once you have better control of your magic then you can help more..-!”

“I just feel bad.” Ei said, looking at them from the corner of her vision.

“Huh?” Astro asked, confused.

“You all help while I don’t really do anything..I just feel like I should do something..” They voiced their concern. Their mixed light red and deeper red eyes narrowing while they focused on a specfic part of coloring.

“I…Ei, your only seven. There’s only so much you can do..” Astro said, pulling at her sleeves.

“I know..I’m sorry, I’ll just wait for Akari to come and give me my medicine to sleep.”

“…Ok..goodnight Ei..” Astro mummbled, sparing one last look at the focused former. Her white hair was slightly messy, and she kept grumbling. Her red eyes were narrowed in focus and her tongue was sticking out a little.

Astro smiled a little before shutting the door to Ei’s room.

Later, Ei had finished the page she was working on and heard a knock at the door.

“Come in!” They said, shutting the coloring book.

Akari stepped in Ei’s rooon sweeping the room with her eyes before smiling at Ei.

“Ah, Kai. Here’s your medicine for sleep.” The blue eyed older handed the red eyed one a glass of water and a rather large pill.

The younger grumbled under their breath before putting the pill in their mouth. They took a swig of water and sucessfully swallowing the pill.

“Can I see your coloring book?” Akari polietly asked.

Akari had always liked Ei’s talent for coloring or art in general. She was only seven but she could draw a person or apple pretty good for being that young.

Akari opened the coloring book and flipped through the thing slowly, an impressed expression taking form on her face. She stopped completly at the page Ei had colored in recently. She stared at it for a long time before breaking the silence.

“Your so talented, Kai. Honestly, the shading and detail in general is very impressive.” Akari looked genuily happy and impressed.

On the other hand, Ei’s cheeks turned bright red and Akari laughed.

“Ahaha! Why are you embrassed? It’s honestly impressive!” Akari smiled with her eyes closed before handing Ei back the book.

“…Thank you…” The younger whispered, holding the book close to her chest.

“Are you tired yet? I wanted to give you something in thanks from the gift you gave me. You know, the flowers?” Akari’s eyes slid away from Ei’s ones like she was nervous. Just like Ei was when she was giving Akari her gift.

“Oh..u-um not yet, so..?” The lying white-nette punched herself for lying and stuttering.

Akari seemed to believe it, surprisngly.

“Ah, great! Here!” Akari brightened and handed the youngest Adachi a red box.

“…?” Ei tilted their head at it.

Akari stiffled a laugh while responding.

“Well? Open it!” She said.

The younger sweat-dropped at their dumbness before opening the small box gently. Inside was a velvet soft cushion, holding a extermely pretty red necklace. It had a slive chain, but the main piece was a red crystal of some sort. It was bright red, similar to Ei’s eyes. It sparkled when the moon from her window hit it.

“Woah…” Ei voiced.

“Pretty, right?” Akari asked, slightly whispering.

“…Yeah, pretty.” Ei agreed.

The taller sister took a step towards Ei and held her hand out.

“Can I put it on you?” She smiled and asked.

Ei blinked before lifting the necklace out of the box gently and placing it in Akari’s palm.

She grabbed and Ei turned around. They messed with their hair, making their neck visible and making it more easy for Akari to put it on.

Akari struggled with it at first due to her shaky hands, but she got it and clipped it on.

“I adjusted it so it’s looser, so it shouldn’t choke you in your sleep or anything like that.” Akari explained as the crystal handing right where Ei’s chest started.

The younger white headed girl bit back a yawn while she nodded.

“If your tired, sleep. Tommorow we have a busy day..” Akari gently said.

Ei rubbed on of her red eyes before nodding again and walking over to her small bed. They shuffled underneath the soft grey sheets and blinked up at Akari.

“Goodnight, Kai..” She whispered while pushing a piece of white hair behind Ei’s pale ear.

They both smiled before Akari carefully walked outside of Ei’s room and left it open a tad, letting only a faint warm glow fill the room.

Ei turned over and shut their red eyes, letting sleep take over them.

a hand gently ran through bloodstained orange hair. it trembled ever so slightly as it did so, accompanied by choked sobs. it was rare to see the overlord crying, so rare that many deemed it impossible. yet when he held his lover's body, wounds covered by the jacket he always wore ( ignoring the bloodstains ), close to him, he couldn't help it. ogihci stroked ichigo's cheek one last time, closing his eyes as he said his goodbyes to the person who made up his world. 

 the memory was as clear as day even if it happened awhile ago. if ogihci focused long enough, he could still recall the weight of ichigo’s body in his arms && the weight of dirt on the shovel for the grave. he couldn't afford to dwell. the cacao kingdom was almost his && only the queen stood in his way. 

news had reached him informing him of a new addition to the army. or at least new faces among them. people with no armor && foreign clothes ( another world? ). to him, it held no significance since he was so powerful that no measly addition would easily stop him, although he was interested, especially when he heard that one of them managed to sneak into his fortress. a confident grin was on the overlord's face as he stepped outside his chambers, intent on greeting the new face before he destroyed them, his gauntlet beginning to charge up in anticipation.

When he learned the real meaning of pride and the LGBTQ+ community, he was even more ecstatic

Has definitely beaten up some homophobes before

And transphobes

He’s beaten up a lot of people in general

Realized after a while that he’s pansexual himself and started painting his face with the pan flag everyday

Will not deny that he has a thing for Matt and Sora at the same time and is happy if they’re happy but would really like to kiss them both pls

In Paris

It’s been a long awkward day and a text message from Liam left her even more deflated. She told him that it was ok, and that she understood but in the back of her mind she wondered if this was only a glimpse of the canceled plans, a portrait of how much of a priority she would be if she became his queen. She started to pour herself a glass of wine to soothe the sting in her heart she felt. She stopped and instead took a long swig directly from the bottle. Then she tucked the entire bottle under her arm and headed back into her room. 

The next few days seemed like a blur. She texted Liam every day but kept things light, knowing that anything more would spill her true feelings onto the surface. Liam called her early Thursday morning. She dared not answer, sending him directly to voicemail secretly hoping it would elicit the same response as it had last week. She also knew that he knew her well enough that he would recognize the disappointment in her voice straight away. 

In Cordonia

Braxton sends a weekly report to Liam concerning Karis’ safety. He has run off a few paparazzi who have taken pictures and noticed one guy following her a few different times, but never close enough to do her harm. Each incident is immediately reported to Liam. Liam was sitting trying to balance a budget following one of his father’s recent hospital stays. After a budget meeting, Liam just can’t seem to figure out the origin of a recurring charge that started the day he came back from Paris the first time after he reconciled with Karis. He confides in Regina who confirms his suspicions.

Meanwhile in Constantine’s office

The phone rings, it’s a phone call he had been expecting.

“Sir, I have the intel on KV, faxing it over now.” The fax comes through and Constantine reads it over. 

Impressive, the orphan daughter of an alcoholic and a junkie, and still manages to get a full academic scholarship. Pre-law major with a minor in political science, she had maintained a 4.0 GPA her entire collegiate career while holding down a job. No criminal record, no parking tickets, a credit score of 815. Currently in Paris on a paid internship at Alaris Avocats. Lives alone. The only company she has entertained since in Paris is Liam, one Mr. Matthew David Carusso, and Raymond C. Perry. 

He tucks the report into a drawer when he hears a knock on his door. 

“Liam, to what do I owe the pleasure?” 

“Father, I wanted to come to deliver the news in person. The council met while you were in the hospital and voted that due to your health and deteriorating mental capacity you are hereby relieved of your duties as the reigning monarch of Cordonia. You are now just a figurehead until my coronation. I told myself that your mental state must be the reason you are gambling with fate.” 

“Son, I don’t know what you mean?”

“Save it. Let’s make one thing clear dear Father if we have to revisit this conversation it won’t end well. I have finally managed to do an audit for the month of June.”

All the color drained from Constantine’s face. 

“You will pick up the phone this instant and order your man to stand down or you both will face my wrath.”

His face falls. “How did you–”

“The moment I left Paris I put a man on her. I know you don’t know what it means to protect the woman you claim to love. You failed my mother, but you taught me what not to do. Here’s what you fail to realize. I will protect her with my life. Your guy has been made 8 different times. Fortunately for him, he never got within 100 yards of her. My guard has been given an order to end anyone who attempts to harm her. 

Meanwhile Thursday afternoon in Paris

After taking a leisurely stroll alongside the Seine River to clear her mind Karis got a text from Raymond. 

She was just about to respond when there was a knock on the door. She grabbed her piece and headed to the door. When she cracked the door secretly hoping that it was Liam, she was disappointed to find a stranger in a black suit. She takes the safety off the .22 Liam left with her.

“Who sent you?”

When the man spots the gun, he ducks around the corner.

“Whoa, I am sorry if I scared you ma’am. Ms. Vasquez? I have been sent by Prince Liam. Could you put away the gun and come with me?”  

She closed and locked the door and put the gun down in front of her while she called Liam to check the story. 

The phone rang only once before he answers. 

“Hey, angel!”

“Adonis, don’t you hey angel me. Did you send someone to my place to pick me up?”

He laughs, “Yes, and you pulled a gun on him?”

“That’s not funny. I was scared. What is going on? Where is he taking me? What do I need to bring?”

“I’m sorry, your right dear. I definitely didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted to surprise you. Just bring you and stop with all the questions, future attorney. Just leave your weapon at home.”

She removed the magazine and placed the gun back in her small safe. She grabbed her purse, locked her place and followed the stranger out to a town car where again she was expecting to see Liam. Alas, the car was empty. He opened the door and when she settled inside, there waiting was champagne, flowers and chocolates.  She smiled as she wondered what Liam could have possibly meant when he said that he wanted to “surprise” her. She knew that if it was anything short of him physically being in her presence she wasn’t interested. 

The car quickly navigated the streets of Paris and before long approached the airport. They pulled onto the tarmac where Karis saw the private jet with the Cordonian seal. She had never seen anything like it before. Her mouth went dry, her pulse raced and her heart felt like it was going to explode in her chest. Did the jet being here mean that Liam was inside? Before she could investigate further the door opened and the driver in the black suit took her hand to help her out of the car. 

“You’ll need to board now, Ms. Vasquez.”

She made her way over to the steps of the private jet, a cocktail of nerves, adrenaline, and excitement course through her body as she ascended the stairs. When she gets to the top, there is a thin blonde who greets her. 

“Lady Karis, on behalf of the captain, and flight crew welcome aboard. I’ll show you to your seat and make sure you have a comfortable flight. We should land in Cordonia in approximately 2 hours and 48 minutes. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to make your flight more comfortable. 

“I guess I’m going to Cordonia then, huh?”

The flight goes by quickly as Karis reads an ABA journal. She resists the temptation to text Liam and ask more questions. When the plane landed Karis met a handsome older gentleman named Bastien, he was the head of Liam security detail he leads her to a black suv with dark window tents. It looked very similar to the one she spotted in New York the night she met Liam. The door opened and finally, there he was; he looked exhausted. He wore dark shades to hide the dark circles under his eyes. He hadn’t shaven. Black slacks and a crisp white dress shirt with the first several buttons undone. Damn, he was sexy. She went to greet him properly but Bastien stopped her. 

In Cordonia

“Not here, Ma’am.” he hastily helped her into the car and they sped off down the Cordonian roads. Liam gave her an apologetic look as he reached across the seat taking her hand. 

“Hey, Angel.” 

“Hey, babe. Are you ok? You look terrible. What is going on?”

“It’s a long story. I’m fine. I will explain it all when we arrive at our destination.”

“Adonis? What is the meaning of all of this? Why couldn’t I hug and kiss you? You don’t have a wife or fiance’ your hiding do you? I told you from the start I don’t like bullshit.”

He smiles. “You definitely went into the right field. You are the only woman in my life. You couldn’t kiss or hug me because the paparazzi were all over the place. I will let them know about you when the time is right. They can wait, but for now, I want you to myself.” He squeezed her hand. 

She raised her eyebrow, “If you say so.”

“Where are we going? I am not dressed to visit a palace and I’m starving.” 

“Then lucky for you, I have all of those things covered.”

Just then they pull into the underground garage of a modern residential building situated on a hill. There are armed guards outside and inside the garage. The driver opens the door for Liam, and he comes around to open the door for Karis. The moment she is on her feet Liam pins her against the side of the vehicle, his lips taking hers in a deep, desperate, longing kiss. She grabbed him by the collar. Her knees buckled and when he finally pulled away they were both breathless. Her eyes widened as she wiped her mouth. 

“What has gotten into you?” She smirked, still catching her breath.

“Welcome to Cordonia,” his deep voice rumbled in her ear. He smiled before taking her hand and leading her past the armed guard who stood at attention, into an elevator. He scanned his thumbprint before pressing a button for the penthouse. Bastien had gone ahead of the couple to apparently make sure it was clear. The elevator beeped and the doors slide open to reveal a modern open concept floor plan with floor to ceiling windows. 

“It’s my apartment. Make yourself at home.” 

Liam leads her through a large bedroom into the closet which is the size of her whole apartment back home. There are mostly men’s clothes and one section with an assortment of women’s clothing.

“Adonis, whose clothes are these?”

“Your’s. Everything here was selected specifically for you. It’s all in your size. You will have several options for the entire weekend. I know that you must be tired after the flight. You will find a basket in the shower with your pear-berry shower gel, scrub, and body butter. There is another basket on the counter top with a new tooth brush and anything else you might need. If there is anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask. Meet me out on the terrace.”

She stands there as tears threaten to spill from her eyes. He snakes his arms around her waist pulling her close. Her back is firmly against his chest. He gently kisses her on the sensitive skin of her neck. 

“Hey, whoa, please don’t cry. I promise to feed you after you shower,” he whispers in her ear. She smiles instead turning to gently slap him on the arm.

“You did all this for me?”

“Of course, I want to give you the world.”

“I don’t need the world, Adonis. I just need you.”

She winds her arms around his neck clasping her hands together. She kisses his lips sweetly. “Come shower with me,” she says against his lips. 

He smiles nervously, “Karis, I–”

She pouts, interrupting, “You don’t want to?”

He chuckles, “I absolutely want to. But it’s not a good idea. Our food will be cold and we have some things that are very important for us to discuss. But, I promise after, we can take as many showers as you want. There’s a tub in there too.”  

“Ok, I’ll be quick.”

He kisses her on the cheek and leaves her to get dressed. When she stepped out of the shower she moisturized and wrapped a towel around her body heading back into the closet. She finds an assortment of lingerie in a gift bag wrapped in tissue paper. She is impressed. There are at least a dozen sets in different styles and colors. She decided on a pair of black lacy panties, a black bra, black shorts and a white blazer. She finished the look with some black and white pumps. She finger combed her hair and put on some lipgloss and headed out to meet Liam. 

Liam stands to receive her and his jaw drops eliciting a blush from Karis. She bites her lip as he pulls out her chair. 

“Karis you look, wow–”

“Thank you. Please, sit down. While I am hungry, I am more eager to chat about what you wanted to discuss.”

He motions for the chef to bring their dinner. When the entrees are uncovered Karis swoons.

“Adonis! Shrimp and grits? You remembered?” Hot tears spill from her eyes. 

“Of course I did. It was the very first meal we ever shared. He reaches across the table and wipes her tears with his thumb.” 

“I’ll get to it. I believe that it will give you a clearer picture of why I had to alter our plans this weekend.”

She starts to eat. “I’m listening.” 

“First, as you know my father is ill. He has spent a great deal of time in the hospital. In turn,  I have had to assume a great deal of his day to day duties. Because of his continued absences, the council had a meeting and has officially removed him as reigning monarch of Cordonia. It has essentially ascended me to the throne as new king of Cordonia. It will be official the night of my coronation. Because of the timeline my coronation has been moved up and the traditional social season won’t happen. I have to choose a fiance by my coronation. You are who I choose. You will always be my choice. Baby, my queen, I need you here with me, by my side.”

Her breath catches at his words. He is going to be the actual king of this beautiful country and he wants her of all people to be his queen.

”I want to be by your side, Adonis. I just have to figure out how to do that without compromising who I am.”

“I’m holding on to that. It’s not a no. I know that you hadn’t made up your mind. But if you decide that this is what you want we would move forward with your citizenship. I know we talked about you needing a house to sponsor you. There will be three houses Domvallier, Ramsford, and Cormery Isle essentially courting you for the opportunity to sponsor you, starting with a welcome ball tomorrow night in the duchy of Domvallier, a brunch on Saturday at Cormery Isle and Saturday night there will be a Beaumont bash.”

Overwhelmed, Karis attempts to change the subject. “Adonis, what about you? You have been talking about me this whole time. You have been working hard, doing your father’s job, you look like you haven’t slept, and planning this weekend for me? Let me just take tonight to take care of you.” 

“I’m listening.” 

She stands moving around the table and kisses him sweetly on his lips before pouring apple juice into his glass. She takes his fork, feeding him forks full of food while he runs his hand up and down her soft bare leg. She noticed the swell in his pants and smirks and shakes her head. 

He smiles seductively. “I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying being fed by my woman. How else pray tell are you going to take care of me?”

She picks up his glass and places it in his hand. “Drink your apple juice.” 

She grabbed the ceramic dish of apple preserves from the table and saunters back into the apartment, looking over her shoulder at him with hooded eyes.

He stands gulping his apple juice down quickly and followed her inside. She leads him to the bedroom. She grabs his hand and motions for him to sit. 

“I’ll be right back.” She goes into the bathroom and starts a bath, lighting the aromatherapy candles to set the mood. 

She moves back into the bedroom and kneels at Liam’s feet. His expression is unreadable. She unties his shoes and removes them, then his socks rolling them and place them neatly inside his shoe. She stands and bends at the waist making sure he gets a clear view of her cleavage as she removes his cufflinks and begins unbuttoning his shirt. She ran her fingers lightly down his chest before unbuckling his belt and pushing his trousers and boxer briefs to the floor. 

“Karis–”

“Shhhhh,” she interrupts, placing one finger on his lips.

She takes his hand leading him to the bathtub. She turns off the water and invites him to get in. 

“Are you joining me?” he asks. 

She winks and bites her lip, “No, this is about you. Not me.”

She soaks a towel and lathers it up and begins to bathe him. He relaxes under her touch allowing her to take care of him for a change. He was sure that as she toweled his body they would connect. She instructs him to lay across the bed where she begins a full body massage starting with his feet. While she rubs, he groans.

“Tell me, if you had your way, what would this weekend look like?”

She moves to the other foot kneading it with her hands before moving to his calves. His eyes were shut, and a smile crept slowly across his face. Clearly he was enjoying this pampering from the woman he loved.

“In a perfect world, I’d be able to convince you to move here with me when you leave Paris. There are so many reasons that it would be ideal.” 

She takes more oil in her hands and starts to stroke his thighs. 

“I’m listening,” she says. But touching his body the way that she is, backfires and it is turning her on just as much as it seems to be turning him on. She squeezed her thighs together trying to hold off the white hot passion pooling in between them. 

“I spoke with the dean of admissions at Cordonia U and you could still graduate by December if you did your last semester here. It’s a great program and it would be an asset, seeing how you are interested in international law.”

“I’m not convinced, but I’ll consider it,” she said as she straddled him and rubbed up and down his abs and pecs. 

His hands move to her waist, “Karis, I really want to talk more, but I can’t concentrate with you being this close to me, touching me like this,” he growls as his hand slowly starts roaming up her side. She moves his hands and rolls off of him. 

“I didn’t tell you to touch me your highness,” she smiled. 

“Please.”

“Hands behind your head.” she said in a quiet voice. 

He complied. She straddles him again and rubs oil on to his bald head as she kisses him. Their tongues tangle for a few moments before Karis moves down to nip as his neck and shoulders. 

“Mmmmmmm, angel.”

She takes some of the apple preserves leaving a trail of it down his torso. She then takes her tongue swirling it around his nipple, before she places hot open mouth kisses down his torso licking the apple preserves. His length is so stiff he looks like a sundial. She bites her lips, her eyes dancing. 

“See something you like my queen?”

“Oh, you have no idea…”

She crooks her finger beckoning him closer. He grinned as he rose from the bed. She backed him into the wall, hands gripping his thighs. He goes to tangle his hands in her hair. 

“Hands behind your head, Adonis. Let me take care of you.” He huffs, but complies. She takes her hand and with her thumb smears the bead of pre cum over his tip. Thunderstorm Wedding

AN: this is for @until-theend-oftheline for Kari’s Summer challenge. Girl, hope you enjoy this cause this is all on the fly work! enjoy the rolleroaster ride! there is another AN in the story to explain how i came up with a certain part of the story. hope you like it!

Pairing: Chris Evans x Reader

Prompt: Thunderstorm

Summery: there isnt one!

this was it, your wedding day was TOMORROW. everything prepared and ready, bows and decorations laid out for everyone to see, people from all over arriving too witness your wedding. 

oh yeah, your marrying the guy who made you fall in love with the MCU even more than you already were. you were marrying Chris Evans. 

of course this wedding was gonna be avenger themed. obviously considering who your marrying. there was gonna be an entire skit and everything. you were completely hopeful that you would have the perfect-ish wedding. 

you were at the hall with Chris going through the dress rehersal, and making sure all the decorations were in place along with props and that everyone knew what to say, when to say it, and what to do and when.

then you and Chris were dropped off at the same hotel but each of you taken to seperate rooms. Scarlet stayed with you playing cards, she knew you a little too well, this was what you had always dreamed off, to get married, to start a journey of love and passion with someone kind, sweet and amazing.

Scarlet: “what is it YN, you have that look in your eye?”

YN: “i dont know Scar, its just some nerves i guess. but weird thing is i don’t actually feel nervous.”

Scarlet: “well did you get some mojo recently?”

YN: “i did open a fortune cookie a couple days ago, it said ‘when the hammer is lifted, thunder rolls, words of affirmation finished, while the truth realized.’ i guess thats what is freaking my body out right now. and i believe i win.”

Scarlet and you both looked down at your hands. playing blackjack is fun, especially when you happen to always have an especially lucky hand. Scarlet laughed as she chugged the rest of her wine. 

Scarlet: “we should get some sleep… it will be a long busy day tomorrow.”

you and Scarlet had always shared a bed, even when she and you were roommates, it didnt matter, and no it was never anything freaky like that. it was just that she was your Best Friend and there wasnt anything neither of you wouldnt do for the other. 

so removing your house coat, you crawled into bed getting comfy while Scarlet finished turning off the lights, she crawled in beside you. cuddling together you both drifted into unconsciousness.

Chris however had been taken to his room by Robert. now normally this would have been something to behold for the theatrics. but it was a different situation. 

Rob: “YN seemed really stoked about the wedding.”

Chris: “i know, the only other time ive seen her like that was when i proposed. its like a massive reality spikes her adrenaline. but oh well. i guess if this goes well, the wedding of the year award will go to me & YN.”

Rob: “i suppose it will, but did you ever think about what kind of mark your wedding will leave on the community…”

Chris got up and started pacing…

Chris: “dont start an argument with me Rob, please man im getting married to an amazing girl, with you as the best man. come on bro, please just dont question this decision.

Chris and Rob after about 5 minutes each took 2 shots and went to bed knowing that it was gonna be a long and busy day.

Scarlet woke up shortly before you, like always she tried to give you as much sleep as possible. she checked the weather and happened to see the 79% chance of a thunderstorm starting right around the middle of the ceremony. 

Scarlet woke you up, gently and calmly. you opened your eyes fluttering them a bit before they stayed open, you sat up as Scarlet handed you your cold caffeinated cola. 

there was nothing that you imagined would ever ruin this day. it was YOUR WEDDING DAY! of course nothing could ruin the day. Scarlet started pulling out the straightener and the wedding lingerie, setting up everything and calling room service to bring you ladies some breakfast.

Scarlet: “breakfast is being made, and will be delivered soon. lets have you sit up and ill brush your hair out and place in the extensions before you go shower.”

you sat up in the middle of the bed and pulled out your laptop firing it up and making sure you have all the correct papers and such. 

YN: “Scar, what kind of day do you think this is gonna be?”

Scarlet was unsure of how to answer that question…

Scarlet: “i think this day will turn into the perfect of awesome weddings.”

you kept going through and making sure all the documents you needed to have filled out, were filled out and making sure there were backups of all the documents in case one of the things needed replacing.

Scarlet: “will you give the documents a rest? nothing is gonna go wrong. trust me. now you continue to hold still and throw on some music while i finish these extensions.”

Scarlet waited for the music to start before she started the extensions. once the music started she started to attach the extensions. there was nothing which made you happier than listening to the soundtrack of yours Chris’ love. 

this was the start of a very very long half an hour.

Chris woke up with Robert a few hours after you and Scarlet. this was the start of a lot of paranoia.

Robert: “how do you feel about today Chris?”

Chris: “i feel good, but if all goes well this storm will hold off till after the ceremony.”

Robert and Chris just sat in the room also ordering room service as they sat there toasting and cheering and praising each of their individual acomplishments.

Scarlet was finally done your hair, you went to the bathroom with your robe, lingerie and a towel. you started the shower and undressed yourself, you made your way into the tub and let the hot water maul over you for several minutes before washing your hair. 

you washed your hair, you werent used to how long it was. but that would soon be obsolete, for your mind now came to the thought of being MRS. EVENS LATER. you were now at peace in your mind. 

you finished in the shower about 15 minutes later. you got out and heard the sound of Scarlet singing out side, but you also heard your phone ringing. Scarlet of course answered it. 

Scarlet: “YN’s phone…”

Chris: “hey Scar, what would you say to me wanting to speak with my girl!”

Scarlet: “you can just give me a moment.”

Scarlet said as she saw you exiting the washroom. she handed you the phone after you sat on the bed so Scarlet could make your hair wedding worthy. the convo between you and Chris went a little like this:

Chris: “babe, im so lucky to get to marry you.”

YN: “im lucky too, at first i wasnt sure a guy like you would ever fall in love with a girl like me but now i know this is destiny.”

Chris: “i know but this is real, and your gonna be beautiful… hows the getting ready going?”

Scarlet: “im just doing her hair now Chris… don’t worry she will be recognizable when im through with her.”

YN: “just braid my hair Scar…”

Scarlet started putting in the french braid, she also intently listened in on yours and chris’ conversation. the braid was gonna be long but thats what you wanted. 

Chris: “i missed sleeping next to you last night!”

YN: “the bed felt not the same without you… but after today we wont ever have to sleep apart again. ill see you in 2 hours babe.”

Chris: “i love you…”

YN: “i love you too..”

with that the call disconnected and Scarlet had just finished the braid with its own twist and accessories. a little bit of hair bling. this was it, this now was the time. it was time for the rest of your outfit. this included now fully putting on your lingerie, and your shoes while Scarlet went to pull out your Dress. 

ah yes the dress that you had picked to specifically go with the superhero theme. the one dress to rule all dresses. 

you slipped into it and smiled as the fabric slid over your skin. 

you twirled several times loving how the dress felt and looked. now you and Scarlet had to walk to the ceremony location to make it there before the guys did. 

walking down the roads the photographer followed you ladies, photographing alot of really great shots. simple ones but still capturing your beauty and elegance. 

this was how you knew today would be perfect. Scarlets dress showed her black widow side very well. which was what u both wanted, especially for the skit. the avengers may not have been real but their counters are very much like their avenger counter parts.

this was the moment when the final approach to the venue was in effect. your day was now looking up. your only goal was not tripping over anything, that was the last thing you needed. 

photographer: “how bout it ladies we get some shots in the park? like on the path and mock shots?”

you and Scarlet knew exactly what kind of shots the photographer meant.

this was it, the moment that was forever to change your life, you were lining up at the end of the path behind the trees. your only worry was there were clouds in the sky, seeming like they were gonna roll on top of ya’ll and pour it all down!

Scarlet: “i see the look in your eyes don’t worry girl! your wedding will go off without a hitch. now Robert is coming back here to walk you down that isle unless you want someone else to do it.”

Robert had come round the corner just as Scarlet had finished speaking...

Robert: “you know that im the best man technically im supposed to be up there with Chris! Scarlet why dont you walk YN down that isle!”

Scarlet could only stare at you as you took a peak behind the tree at the crowd of people, the press, and the one person who made this day yours. Chris, standing at the alter, where you of course would be walking to in the next 5 minutes but first you have to make the choice of your life.

Scarlet: “what do you say girl? ready to take the most important walk of our lives... together?”

You turned to face her and Robert as you exhaled the breath you took in.

YN: “get out there Rob before you mess up the plan and be ready to switch positions when we fully get up there!”

Scarlet: “and make sure the director is ready to marry his favorite avenger and his lady!”

Robert made a salute and walked back up the isle. you got into position and waited for Scarlet to join you behind the camoflauge. you both waited for the words of the Director to begin.

Samuel: “ladies and gentlemen, fellow agents, and of course the avengers! welcome to the wedding of the century! welcome to the wedding of Chris Evens & YN! also known to the public eye as Captain America & his Lady! please rise to honor the bride as she walks her way down the isle!”

the crowd rose you locked hands with Scarlet, the camoflauge opened up, you and Scarlet made it per-tenant to step into the light! the photographer who was behind you guys captured the first look of Chris and the Crowd at you and Scarlet!

Chris’ face was totally priceless! it was like he was looking at you for the first time all over again! Samuel just smiled knowing that you and Chris were truly gonna be the wedding of the century never mind that forever....

Samuel: “i say a round of applause is in order for the beautiful Bride!”

you walked beside Scarlet knowing that all eyes were on you, but you didnt care cause your eyes were on Chris. you were smiling all while Scarlet did everything in her power to keep you from falling flat on your face.

you and Scarlet got to your point of stopping, now it was time for the skit to begin.

Samuel: “whats wrong. are you gonna finish your journey forward?”

YN: “after i say one small thing... i discovered this a while ago but thought nothing of it. i have Stark blood flowing through my veins.”

the entirety of the avengers line-up were playing out their respected roles. 

Robert: “Steve did you know anything about this?”

Chris: “i had no idea... YN how much stark blood are we talking?”

(*Authors Note: i am writing this part as if the actors are using their roles for the speaking during the ceremony but the actors names will be the ones leading their lines... just so no one gets confused... any questions at all feel free to ask*)

YN: “im Tony’s long lost cousin on his dads side...”

the crowd went berserk sort of they started mumbling but silenced when you guys started talking again...

Hemsworth: “dont worry young one, for i Thor God of Thunder still support this union...”

Samuel: “i Nick Fury Director of SHIELD still support this union.”

Scarlet: “i Natasha Romanov still support this union.”

Mark: “i am Bruce Banner and i still whole heartedly support this union.”

Jeremy: “i Clint Barton still wholly support this union.”

the avengers gave 3 cheers and then it came down to your fiance and Robert. both of whom now approached you.

Robert: “after all this time, how long have you known?”

YN: “about 2 weeks, i was too scared to say anything about it. i didnt know how you would react. so i used my own skill of keeping things from people to avoid any angry situations before the wedding. im so sorry guys, ive lied to all of you... especially you Steve im so sorry, i wanted to tell you guys so badly but i knew if i did there was a chance that you guys wouldnt accept me after that.”

Robert: “i Tony Stark, humbly still support this union Cuz!”

Chris comes up to you and smiles!

Chris: “what do you say YN ready to finish the walk of our lives and make it to that alter?”

Chris of course held his hand to you and smiled when you took it, both of you now making it to the alter, Samuel now cleared his throat to continue his duties as the minister.

Samuel: “Marriage means alot of things to alot of people, but to the Avengers and to SHIELD it only means our family is growing, its expanding in more ways than one. Marriage is what unites the Hearts of Steve & YN and Marriage is what brings us all here today! now i already know how the avengers and SHIELD agents respond to this but now i have to ask everyone else, is there anyone in attendance to this wedding that objects to this marriage?”

a loud snap against the stone pathway echoed through the corridor... everyone turned to see Tom in Loki form. Chris held you while everyone else got into defensive around you guys. 

Tom: “i object to this disgusting union... ugh weddings make me sick... ah brother you need to work on your touch... that cell you all left me in was easy to escape from... now if you all would excuse me id like to get the girl and leave... so i can take all the knowledge she has inside her tiny little brain and build myself a portal back to somewhere that isnt here.”

Rob: “your not taking her anywhere, Loki! Avengers Assemble!”

Samuel: “SHIELD agents on the mark!”

Chris: “Thor can’t you do something!”

Hemsworth: “i can but if this works he will be sent to a stronger prison this time...”

Hemsworth shot his hand straight into the air and within moments a blast of thunder bolts came down from the sky... the thunder continued to rumble as the Avengers and SHIELD agents all stood guard while Samuel continued the wedding.

Samuel: “Steve & YN say your Vows we will make sure he doesnt approach any closer...”

Chris: “YN you have changed my life. you have changed my world. that day all those years ago made me realize that i had been missing out on. i love you YN i always have and i always will. i vow to on this love, honor, cherish, respect, and train with you every single day for as long as we both shall live in Sickness, in Health, for Richer, for Poorer, to Comfort you in Times of need, to Be there for you in all things, Always & Forever!”

YN: “Steve your my entire world, i wouldnt even be who i am today if it hadnt have been you id ended up falling for. i love you Steve i always have and i always will. i vow on this day to Love, Honor, Cherish, Respect & Train with you every single day for as long as we both shall live... In Sickness, in Health, for Richer, for Poorer, to Comfort you in Times of need, to Be there for you in All things, Always & Forever!”

Samuel pulled the rings out of his jacket pocket opening the box and holding it to you & Chris he said his next bit...

Samuel: “please repeat after me... one at a time of course... YN your gonna go first... please take Steve’s ring and repeat after me!”

you took the ring out of the box and held it to Chris’ finger... 

Samuel: “i YN...”

YN: “i YN...”

Samuel: “Take you Steve!”

YN: “take you steve!”

Samuel: “to be my husband!”

YN: “to be my husband!”

Samuel: “in life and death!”

YN: “in life and death!”

Samuel: “as an official Avenger for as long as we both shall live!”

YN: “as an official Avenger for as long as we both shall live!”

you slide the ring on Chris’ hand as Chris now takes your ring and mimics your actions...

Samuel: “now its your turn Steve. Please repeat after me! I Steve...”

Chris: “i Steve.”

Samuel: “take you YN”

Chris: “take you YN!”

Samuel: “to be my wife!”

Chris: “to be my wife!”

Samuel: “in life and death!”

Chris: “in life and death!”

Samuel: “as the most amazing avenger couple in the world!”

Chris: “as the most amazing Avenger couple in the world!”

Samuel: “for as long as we both shall live!”

Chris: for as long as we both shall live!”

Loki: “dont you dare finish that ceremony, or i swear i will reign hell down on the earth for as long as i shall live!”

Samuel: “it is my esteemed honor to present you both as Husband and Wife! Steve you may now Kiss your Bride!”

this of course was when Chris pulled you close and kissed you passionately! earning applause from the whole crowd! including the avengers and SHIELD agents which were not looking at you guys fully. 

then you and Chris turned your attention to Tom who was still really deep into his role.

Chris: “give it up Loki, you dont win today!” 

Loki: “thats what you think... isnt that right brother?”

Tom rose his staff to the sky, earning a loud thunder clap from above, which then turned into a lightning strike... you dove with Chris into the chairs of people who scattered, along with everyone who didnt know that something was definately fishy...

you coughed a bit after sitting up as Chris got up helping you... both of you being approached immediately by the rest of your team! Chris helped you dust off as you did him.

Chris: “are you alright?”

YN: “im fne but whoever did this is paying the dry cleaning... does anyone have any thoughts! Hemsworth, Hiddleston... what happened?”

Hemsworth: “no idea but to my knowledge id guess that it was a freak bolt of lightning...”

Tom: “id guess either what hemsworth said or our gifts and talents from our acting has suddenly become reality...”

you took one look around and then saw something out of the corner of your eye, you left Chris’ grasp and ran to the sight of the crash and dropped to your knees as it started to storm thunder, lightning, the whole entirety. 

the others of course followed you and found the symbol of the asgardian gateway on the ground where you all were once standing. 

Samuel: “i dont know what the explanation is for this but we need to re group and figure this all out and see if anything is different. lets get someplace safe first though...”

Chris: “Me and Robert will go with YN we all probably need to talk anyway... cause if im not mistaken YN when you said your first thing you were telling the truth... weren’t you?”

you couldnt form words, but was able to nod yes! 

Samuel: “we will meet at the set of the Avengers and figure all this out...”

Samuel and the others except for you, Chris and Robert left. you finally spoke after several minutes! 

YN: “my fortune cookie fortune came true... this is all my fault...”

Chris: “what did it say...”

YN: “when the hammer is lifted, thunder rolls, words of affirmation finished, while the truth realized.”

that of course is when Chris and Robert also spoke...

Chris: “for its within the thunder, disaster strikes...”

Robert: “for the world you know, is not it at all...”

You got up off the ground once more and turned to face Robert & Chris!

YN: “robert yes your my cousin, im sorry i didnt say anything to either of you... Chris i am happy we are married, but im kinda pissed that our plans got ruined. our fortunes all line up with eachother... who would seperate a prophecy into 3 seperate fortune cookies?”

Chris: “dont worry we will get answers but for now Rob do you want to say it or shall i?”

Robert: “lets not have this argument and just let YN say it!”

you faced the 2 guys most important in your life and held your hand in front of them... they placed theirs on top of yours as you smiled slightly...

YN: “Avengers Assemble!”

Scruff's Top 5 - Karaoke/Hickman wedding/Firehouse x2

This week was one of new experiences, self reflection, and humility. It's great when you open up a potential new avenue of revenue, testing it out might be a little nerve wrecking but when it all comes together the possibilities are endless. Looking in the mirror knowing that you have work to do to stay relevant is a hard pill to swallow, after you see the reflection what you decide to do from that point on is when the real journey begins. Playing at a certain location multiple times can be quite humbling, and yet at the same time empowering. When this starts to happen you tend to look at the original big picture, this is when the magical sparks start to fly. Thursday night I hosted the first S&E Karaoke night at The Lounge here in sheldon. The event was put on by the Young Professionals group of Sheldon, the organization is trying to fit in activities that appeal to adults between the ages20-40, trying to keep the town of sheldon thriving. The Lounge which is in the same building as Cook's Cafe and Langer's Bar and Grill donated the space to help bring the vision to life. Being that this was the first ever karaoke event I had to host I can admit that I was a little nervous. After setting up and testing things out, I was quite hopeful that we would have lots of fun and that this wouldn't be the last time that we would be hosting the event. The event started at 7 and right at the beginning we had a crowd gathering to sing and create a fun loving atmosphere or drinks and vocal folly. I was quite happy with this because that meant I wouldn't have to sing many songs to keep things rolling. I did kick the night off with my own rendition of The Backstreet Boy's classic I want it that way. Needless to say I was glad that was the only song you hear coming from lips that evening. I enjoy singing along to music, but putting a mic in my hand is very different. I have one of those solo voices, so low that only I can hear it; in the shower. Throughout the course of the night we had up to 25 people engaged in their favorites songs, ranging from classic country to 80's rap and some rock and roll. Whatever the track, you could tell that everyone was having fun. We only had a 2 hour slot for the first event, just in case no one had come out to party. I'm positive that this won't be the last time we do karaoke for the Young Professionals, I also think that we will be adding this to our wedding packages in the fur as well. After leaving The Lounge I made my way down to the Firehouse in Sioux City. The manager at the bar had been trying to get me to play on their Thirsty Thursday night for  awhile now. Since I took the night off of work for karaoke I was able to make it happen this week, I was excited to see how different the night was going to be compared to the weekends. Now usually when I play at the Firehouse it's top 40's open format style of play. This night was different though, I had people come out to the bar just because they knew I was playing and they wanted to hear house music. So for the first time in a long time I was able to play house hits for at least 80% of the night. I had the occasional request for the songs like The Git Up and the Cupid Shuffle so I had to switch things up for a little bit, but for the most part it was house all night long. House music is definitely my passion genre and I would love to play out some more, after listening to my set I realized that I needed to work on my house mixing. Yes, I have a radio show in which I only play electronic music but that's different than playing a house  set at a bar or club. It's time to hit the drawing board and work on the performance side of my craft. Once I get back to the level I need to be at I want to try and introduce a house themed night for the Firehouse. The owner is quite open to many different ideas and hopefully this is something that he would be on board with. It's quite humbling knowing that people came out just because they knew I was playing, it does stroke the ego just bit, but it also motivates me to be a better artist. I can't expect people to follow me, or come out to my shows if i'm not bringing the best sounds to ever hit their eardrums. It's time to grow and that just means more discipline, consistency, and practice. By spring I want to be able to look back at this post and know from my heart that I have done what it takes to play better, not just for the fans of the music, but most importantly for myself and the music culture. Friday I had the Vander Plaats/Hickman wedding in Sioux Center at the Terrace View Event Center. Walking in the building you felt the magic in the air. The design and decorations were straight out of a fairytale. The lobby had the photo shoot cozy feel with candles lit and a comfy couch in front of a backdrop of white balloons. A fountain of punch and pictures of Kari and Forrestal hanging on the wall. The main banquet room was spectacular, a back drop of low emitting lights setting the mood for an intimate meal, the head table set on a platform with a love seat for the newlyweds with a sign hanging above with their initials. Outside chairs set up for the wedding ceremony, it was really breathtaking. We started the night off in a non traditional way, we had dinner before making our way outside for the ceremony. Blue mountain catered the meal and that was very delicious, we had classic styled sodas to enjoy during the ceremony, and a full cake and doughnut bar for our dessert. After Some beautiful speeches by the maid of honor and best man we continued the evening with the special dances accompanied by slideshows with pictures highlighting both Kari and Forrestal individually, as well as together starting a new chapter in their lives. We danced the night away to hits from the all across the board. It was truly an honor to be a part of their special day, Kari was dressed in an elegant dress, Forrestal was decked out in a navy blue suit which accompanied his wife perfectly. Saturday night I made my way back to the Firehouse for an evening of shenanigans. The place was packed and I hit them hard right out the gate. We connected with tracks from the 90's such as Shoop, U can Do it, Fantastic Voayage, and Ghetto Superstar. I played some of the classics from the 2000's such as Yeah, Candy shop, Get Low, and Naughty Boy. The 2010's are a little harder to dance to but I got them going with the Git Down, Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, and of course hits from guys like Tyga, DaBaby, and Megan Thee Stallion. Sometimes I have to remember the songs that I play definitely affect the mood of the evening, I noticed the crowd getting a little rowdy when I played tracks such as Whoop that Trick, and Rep Yo City. At the same time when I had a request for some old school rock and roll things calmed down as I played Thunderstruck by ACDC. The remote was in my hand and I controlled the volume, overall we had a great time partying. The bar was full, the staff was happy, and the vibes were good. I call that a successful evening and the end to another week in music. Now all I have to do is record my radio show and get prepared for the next week.

What did you name your Mabari? Pluto!! Because it was my favourite planet, and then i watched a mickey mouse thing and i had to find a new name for my mabari. 

Was everyone loyal at the end? Hmm. Hmmmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Wait, for DAO or DA2? Bc DA2 everyone loved me but for DAO Alistair leaves me and becomes a drunk or something. Why? Because he’s an idiot. 

Did Hawke side with the Mages or Templars? …. Templars. But my logic was that it would be easier to save mages if you pretended to be on the Templars side, but i forgot that it’s a game that treats any complex decision like it’s black and white. i was entirely neutral up until that point. 

Favorite DA2 party combo? izzy, Merrill, Seb/Varric. Or Izzy, Anders, and Varric. Not necessarily useful, but the party banter was 10/10. Fenris i didn’t really appreciate until my second playthrough.

Inquisitor’s feelings on being the Herald of Andraste? ‘YoU KNOw Who elSE can SUCK MY TiT-?’ She was a proud Dalish elf, of course she hated it, and she kept saying it until it got exhausting. I remember there’s this castle fort thing in the hinterlands where there’s a woman that’s like “You can’t be Andraste’s Herald, you’re an elf!’ and first playthrough I was like ‘CoME AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE’ and the second playthrough I was like ‘This woman gets it, everyone listen to her.’

Who did you romance in your first playthrough for each game? Ahem. Alistair. Isabela. … Cullen. I know I hate it.

Favorite Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor headcanons (any or all)? Inquisitor is obsessed with dragons. She loves them an unhealthy amount, and she loves/hates killing them. Hawke is an alcoholic but she’s good at it. She can count the amount of times she drank Isabela under the table, and remembers at least one of those times. Another Hawke one is that Varric deals with her love life with a devastating efficiency, and that’s why they are best friends. All my Warden headcanons are sad. 

Favorite non-Player Character headcanons? Sandal is a God. 

That One Headcanon that hurts to think about? How long it took Hawke to leave the house after she found her mother dead? Inquisitor coming back from the Fade like ‘yes we won but everything is awful’ and coming home like ‘at least i have someone who loves me’ and Josie is like ‘yoooo i am engaged haha what’s up with you’? Warden not caring if she died in the battle in Denerim bc what’s the point? Eh, take your pick. 

Fluffiest headcanon ever? Aveline is a panic baker. They all found out about this the day before her Guard Captain test.

so i left leeds, england – my home for the past 4 years i will admit it NOW – on halloween bc my visa was about to expire and i’d run out of time there. where did i fly to?? oh y’know. the only SANE place i had left to run to – frickin CANADA, ohhh canada~

i stopped by toronto first and spent a few days with my little brother and that was really good for me and my soul, and then i packed up again to fly to saskatoon, saskatchewan

yes that’s fuckin right i’m in the middle of nowhere in canada lmaooooo and it’s been nearly a month now and i’m laughing now because TO THIS DAY after over 3 weeks, i still do not know why i decided to come here.

okay no, i DO know, i came here to kill time (now that’s privilege!). i’m trying to do a masters in vancouver that starts in september 2019 and the other option was to spend 6 months in singapore, but starting the 6 months from november would have been too early. so i guess?? the plan had been?? for me to focus on my masters apps here????? jesus i don’t even know anymore, all i know is that i’m here, my cousins and relatives have been really good to me and i’ve LITERALLY been living free of charge – lodging, utilities, food – good freaking jesus it’s like a continuation of a really uncomfortable dream. living with and depending on other people’s money and housing, except this time i’m living with real filipinos (who grew up in the philippines) and i also can’t even work and make money this time. at least in leeds i lived with. like. a pakistani and scottish couple ~oooh multicultural~ and was surrounded by my friends. but here i’m constantly getting my tita’s and ate’s and kuya’s questioning “why do you want to go back to school” “don’t you have a boyfriend yet” “you should be thinking about giving your parents grandkids soon!” “you should try to marry a canadian guy here” “how come you can’t just study at the university of saskatchewan” “see this is what happens when kids leave their parents”

i was reading book 6 of the chronicles of ixia last night right, it’s called spy glass, it’s wonderful. there was a scene where someone literally takes a knife to their throat and p u l l s in order to save their one true love and that had me shook but also, that is LITERALLY how i feel sometimes when i’m talking to filipino tita’s and tito’s.

catch me walkin into a filipino household, my freaking fullmetal alchemist tattoo in plain sight, probably wearing something showing my shoulders (!! scandalous) and my thighs (!! controVERsial!!) and a little bit of what little chest i have (!! UNacceptable!!), and talkin about lovin the gays and the bi’s and the trans beauties and befriending people from the yemen and ethiopia and all the places the philippines can be SO SO SO very racist about.

i’m not even in the philippines yet and being surrounded by my own FAMILY MEMBERS is sometimes. a little. too. much.

my one saving grace – okay my two saving graces – so far have been that my older brother is here and that’s a relief. 2 heads are better than 1 right?? (right?)

and the other is that christina recently visited this city in the middle of nowhere just to spend time with me and i am so grateful bc that was such a welcome distraction from reality – and also i haven’t seen her in over a year and a half so it was a long time coming. but hopefully the next reunion won’t (be here) take as long. hah

im frustrated here because i feel unwelcome. family will always try and save face and say “no we’re family you’re welcome here” but ? then ? why do i feel like this? why do i feel like an intruder, like a weird monster hiding under the basement, just eating your food and occasionally washing the dishes and cooking for everyone (it’s the least i can do).

i’m also frustrated because there is a 5-year-old kid i’m living with (my niece) who doesn’t even go to school as often as i think she should??? and she’s lonely and needs attention but my god, i have a 1500-2000 word application to write and research for.

also she doesn’t know how to read??? if any followers study education/teaching can u please tell me how to deal with that? she doesn’t know her alphabets OR how to read lmao she’s FIVE

(this doesn’t even count the fact that i’m not even really that fond of kids in the first place but let’s just IGNORE THAT for now bc they’re giving me food and shelter right)

i’m gonna leave all these bad, negative, self-pitying, and exhaustive thoughts here because i need to stay positive and optimistic. i need to stay energetic and MOTIVATED to move forward. i don’t have TIME to maintain a Depression Sleep Schedule that allows me to sleep through the entire morning AND afternoon and leaving me with only the evening left. i’ve got visas to apply for, one more massive graduate application to write, and a whole lot of actual writing to do for 22tired before i feel too guilty. like there is a LOT i can do but it’s… hard… for me to get anything done when i’m so uncomfortable living here.

It’s a tie between Final Fantasy 6 and Secret of Monkey Island

Oh... I don’t know. A lot of games I wound up really enjoying and getting into were part of a series.  

4. Game that deserves a remaster?

Um, Final Fantasy 6 deserves a real 3D remastering in 3D like Final Fantasy 7 et all got. I mean, I know why it didn’t, but that story, those characters, and that world deserve the royal treatment in my opinion.

5. Favorite game series?

Monkey Island, Final Fantasy, Sims, and it looks like SWTOR/Bioware games go in there. (I refuse to choose!)

6. Favorite genre?

RPG, Action/Platformers, and adventure/puzzle type games. Mostly anything character based where you can get sucked into another world and really get attached to the cast.

Terra/the title theme from Final Fantasy 6. It has so much emotion and just evokes adventure, mystery, and longing to me. It also has some amazing remixes.

This always change on when you ask me, but right now? I’m so stupidly in love with Theron Shan from SWTOR. Not even sorry, I love my Disaster Spy Princess.

Ohhh... okay, if I have to pick just one, I think right now my favorite is the last cutscene in Rishi, because it was the first time I had seen my favorite two idiots genuinely smile and be happy in the game. I have so many other moments I love, but right now that’s probably my favorite. (And I don’t even have pictures of it.

13. Favorite boss?

...I’m trying to think of non-SWTOR answers here, but that’s where my brain is at. I think for boss fights, one of the ones I find most fun is the Malgus fight in the False Emperor storyline. While it can be a little frustrating, I like the fact that it has this little hero moment built in for each member of the party. Just kind of a cool thing that really draws you in.

14. First console?

Atari somethingsomething. My brother hogged it so I didn’t get to play it much.

15. Current console or consoles?

PC, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP, and I have a Nintendo DS somewhere.

I’m kind of happy with my PC? But I’ll probably have PS4 envy at some point when they inevitably publish a game I can only play there.

Tython and Odeseen. I love the forested mountaintops.

Maybe Inaba from Persona 4. Other than the kidnapping and murder, it seems like a nice quiet town, if a little boring. And I’d live at that tofu shop.

The Kingskiller Chronicles seems like it would be fun!

A serious HIghlander game would actually be quite fun. Sword combat, immortality so you heal up between battles, lots of lightning and pyrotechnics. That crazy NeoGeo game based on the animated series almost no one remembers doesn’t count. Although I’m sure they had a NES game or something too.

22. Games you want to play?

The list is too long, and my Steam library is getting out of control. About half the time I wind up watching the cutscenes or a Let’s Play on YouTube and call it a day. Although I might pick up Quest for Glory or King’s Quest because I’ve had a lot of fun watching Paw Dugan play them and other adventure games.

Probably not. I get distracted easily.

EP 1:

- ok. alright. ok. good. they’re dealing with kari’s emotions now instead of just. nothing.  ok. alright. cool.  Still dont like how obscure/”artsy” they’re being with it, this is digimon not kagerou project, but ok.

- Also. I stand by tk and kari being one of the few good straight ships in digimon.  just saying.

- kari: this is my fault... me: god damn it shut up you little brat also me: god relatable ALSO me: ill take whatever display of emotions i can get

- I love how nobody believes tai is dead like.  They’re upset and worried but they’re also like “nah. he cant be. that fucking asshole just left us in our time of need” (actually only matt is the last one)

EP 2:

- I had thoughts but then the 02 kids happened and I entered another plane of reality.  I don’t feel real right now

- the only one I can remember is evil!gennai being a dumbass and being like “SUFFER AND SQUIRM YOU PATHETIC HUMANS AS YOU FIGHT OVER THE LAST SEAT” 1. humans are KNOWN for their ability to care for others you dumb obvious fuck and 2. is. is the entire tube going? because that tube can fit too people if they squish.  This isn’t a joke I’m serious it can.

- oh yeah also when i saw whomstever the fuck his name is (adult guy who i love but fuck names) and he was all bloodied i was like “its a cold day in hell when i see blood in digimon” (I think there was blood in an earlier ep but shh idc)

EP 3:

- didn’t nishijima start off as a fucking life coach to these kids.  What the fuck he was supposed to help them find a career not emotionally scar them by bloodily dying in front of one of them

- im realizing that the reason hackmon was always in his cloak, in the shadows, standing still is that they cannot animate him in any normal position for the life of him.  I drew him with better anatomy when i was 14 and didn’t have a tablet.  No seriously, look:

I didn’t say it wasn’t bad, you guys are just underestimating how bad the anatomy on this poor creature is.  Why cant ppl draw dracomon or hackmon correctly imma cry

- ordinemon has the best reaction faces

the best part about these two screenshots is that they literally cut one to the other, first the first one to the second one and then it cuts back to the first one.  They were really proud of these stupid ass expressions.

- I started overcoming my dissociation shock from the second episode and my hypercritical mind was analyzing the shit out of everything that happened (it is Not happy) but then evil!gennai called kari and evil goddess and idk if he’s exaggerating to make her feel bad or if she’s literally a fucking god of chaos and destruction and either way im like

she did kinda like.  Watch wizardmon die, watch tai die, watch gatomon get absorbed.  The dark ocean is just a metaphor for depression and honestly if 02 wasn’t all over the fucking place I think Kari would’ve had some pretty decent development in it.  Actually you know what, I’m using that as an angle to approach Tri at now, wish me luck bc i might actually give it more leeway now

- I like to imagine that Tai got there like a few minutes ago, but he was like “well damn guess yall figured it out without me.  alright ill just. see if I need to do anything” and then meicoomon was Still Bad so he waited for when she struck just to make the most badass entrance possible.  Fucking extra ass bitch

- I forgot to write anything again but uhhh I wasn’t satisfied so anyways lets just get into the Juicy Details

Originally I was actually planning to be kinder to Tri than I expected.  Was very invested during it.  ‘Round the end of the last ep I realized hmmm no this isn’t working out.  Where are the 02 kids.  You should’ve brought them in to save the day.  That would’ve been SO cool and SO fun.  Fucking cowards.

god I’m kinda tired so I’m going to address a couple things I still had problems with, note that this isn’t everything it’s just everything I felt comfortable yelling about without rewatching past eps.  Like I forgot nishijima was all bloodied and presumably died in the last part until they brought it up and I was like “????” ALSO DID THE LADY WHO WAS HIS PARTNER OR W/E KILL HERSELF WITH THE GUN SHE FOUND, I JUST REALIZED LITERALLY AS I WAS TYPING THIS THAT SHE FOUND A GUN AND THEN I THINK IT CUT TO BLACK AND I’M

DID SHE FUCKING KILL HERSELF WHAT THE FUCK

anyways my problems:

1. They did joe. really dirty.  I’ll write a more proper rant on this sometime later (mostly bc charlie is MUCH better at talking about joe than I am) but basically I can tell you that his character development in the movies squandered his OG character development.  He’s basically an entirely different person.  Like Tri joe isn’t bad, besides being largely neglected (yes he has a whole half a movie to himself, no that doesn’t make up for it all), its just...not OG joe.  He’s a fine character just not the same character, and its NOT fine when you put the two together.

2. THEY DID THE 02 KIDS EVEN DIRTIER IM SO BITTER sorry you nostalgia-blind, money-hungry fucks at bandai, but the 02 cast is PART OF THE ADVENTURES UNIVERSE.  The only people who hate 02 are ones who like the characters but hate the mess of the storyline at the end, or are completely irrational and elitist about their love of the digimon series and would greatly re-evaluate their opinions if they watched the original series and 02 back to back.  They couldn’t even show them in some kind of group montage at the end??? Standing in the background when they call Mei???  Why couldn’t they call mei from a home phone also, but that’s a less important problem idc that much.  It was a cute scene besides the lack of 02 characters.  Whatever.  AND THE PROBLEM IS LIKE kari and tk?  This entire time???  Were like “oh they disappeared. oops” instead of being frantically searching for their lost friends???  Like i get tk and kari probably have fucking ptsd and can’t express any emotions because they watched important people die in front of their eyes at an incredibly young age but also 1. they didn’t address the ramifications of ptsd, so fuck that theory/excuse and 2. THAT??? WOULD ONLY MAKE THEM LOOK HARDER??? and put on a brave face as they look, but inside they’re so scared and so worried.  Not just “oh sweet, they were found/saved, theyre in the hospital but that’s fine” like WHAT theyre fucking assholes if that’s what they’d canonically do lmao.  God I am SO bitter over the ENTIRE thing with the 02 kids, it would’ve been BETTER if they were deleted from the fucking canon entirely.  Would I have still been bitter?  Yes.  But at least I wouldn’t be madder at TK and Kari too.

3. I stand 100% by the notion that Digimon is not and will never be cut out to be an adults’ franchise.  It wasn’t designed for adults, and it can’t be skewered towards adults.  These particular characters were designed for kids to relate to and find entertaining.  They do not work when placed into an adult setting.  Like, can you imagine a character like Ed from FMA going to the Digimon world?  I guess in a way that’s just Marcus but like.  Just imagine the FMA cast in Digimon Adventure.  It doesn’t work.  Digimon Tri is basically that except real.  Also Data Squad was darker than Adventure so my joke doesn’t even work.

I guess my primary point is that Tri isn’t mature enough of a setup for an adult audience.  It puts a focus on being “complex” and “philosophical” instead of working within Digimon’s constraints and making something good and adult out of that.  Like!  Digimon is a fucking TOY COMMERCIAL.  Don’t give me messages about the futility of human life.  I want bad puns and emotional characters.  That’s what Digimon has ALWAYS been, and ideally always will be.  Tri could’ve made itself more mature by dealing with the ramifications of the Digital World’s events, how it affected the kids psychologically and dealing with healing old scars.  It would’ve been a more mature take on a story we loved and would use things we loved about the story already - the fact that it took so much time exploring characters’ emotions and was surprisingly mature for the time - to make itself better.  You need to take the aspects that drew adults to the show and amplify them, not just slap on a complex story and unfunny dialogue and be like “oh this is fine, right?”

It’s not that Digimon can’t exist as an adult property, its just that if it repeats what Tri did, it’s got no merit and in my eyes the franchise is dead.  If it survives I guess I’ll be happy that people can still enjoy it but I find it unsustainable and unsatisfying to fans of the older series.  Tri is just a fuckfest of highly specific nostalgia that tries too hard to appeal to old fans without capturing what made the original series so magical, and in part thats because the original series WASN’T FOR ADULTS.  I don’t know about the Digimon Story games, bc they’re T-rated so perhaps they’re a better take on an adult Digimon story than Tri?  But you either need to make your own characters and lore specifically for an adult-oriented Digimon season, or perish.  Also, please make it a series and not a group of movies.  Getting four eps every 6-9 months was hell.

I stand by saying Appmon is a more faithful Digimon season than Tri to Digimon’s original spirit.  I believe it holds more potential for success than Tri and better embodies the spirit of the older Digimon seasons.  It’s dumb, its corny, it has horrible puns, but I LOVE it because it also has a deep dark story and emotional moments.  If you dislike Tri and you agree with things I said that make it unlikeable, I highly recommend giving Appmon a chance - if you watch a few episodes and think “oh yeah, I guess this is decent” you’re going to like it.  It’s everything Digimon has always been and hopefully always will be, just with a different concept.  And hopefully the end of the series doesn’t leave a sour taste in my mouth and I have to redact this statement haha since I’m not done with it yet, but I’ve heard good things about it so I’m hoping not so.

Overall, if you watch Tri, don’t get your hopes up.  It resolves everything okay-ish but it’s a pretty forgettable anime on its own and simply doesn’t work as part of the Digimon franchise.

I am, however, pretty interested in what evil!gennai said at the end about Diaboromon and Daemon.  It raises interesting questions about the timeline too.  We know Daemon is in the dark ocean, so perhaps that’s a hint at a future project?  (They did confirm a future project btw, in conjunction with tri being over)  But what about Diaboromon?  I dont believe that Our War Game (I think thats what its called?) took place after Tri, based on the outfits and ages and stuff, but I also don’t remember the movies that well.  Could Diaboromon still be out there too?  It’s interesting.

However, because of the lackluster performance of Tri, I don’t have my hopes up and I really hope that this “next project” goes in a different direction.  Although I guess if they include the 02 kids, I’ll be somewhat less salty...

Side note, did they ever explain why the gennais went evil?  Like ?  That’s a pretty important thing.  The gennais helped SAVE the human world in 02.  And I get that apparently Tri is ignoring 02′s ending but still.  It’s shitty, because Gennai was still a good guy in the original too (and also they cant just keep is younger look and act like 02 never happened)  MAYBE its something I missed but I dont think so.  God there’s just.  So much wrong with Tri.  I’m very displeased and very bitter and I wanna get back to Appmon asap.

It’s got good moments, its got bad moments, I dont know, I don’t care.  There’s nothing wrong with you if you like it, there’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t, and there’s nothing wrong with you if you flip flop and are split like me.  I just wish Tri fulfilled its potential instead of becoming a boring mess.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET YOURSELF WRAPPED UP IN THIS TIME?!"

"THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO BE YELLING ABOUT THAT, NORI! JUST RUN!"

The Psychics pressed onwards as far and swiftly as their stamina would allow, even with their fallen friend in tow. Ducking under branches, leaping over bushes, swerving between the trees, anything they could do to try to shake their pursuers off their trail was worth a shot.

Try as they might however, that was not deterring nor slowing them down in the slightest. So close, so close to victory, why would they let themselves let up now? Thorns were fired, blasts of flames soared, and jets of water rushed the three fleeting Hakumese, who did their damnedest to evade, even though they already had difficulty multitasking as is.

"G-gh, how-- h-how large is this forest?!" Momoko grunted, trying to keep her hair out of her face as sweat dripped behind her.

"You tell me, I just arrived! I'm as clueless as you!" barked Nori with a sneer. Things didn't seem to be going well for the three... and it wasn't long before they began to lose sight of what was ahead of them.

Before they knew it, everything began to fade to black, to the point they couldn't even make out the grass. Was it nighttime? No, it couldn't be this intense. No way... could it?

They had no time to ponder as they were immediately walled off by blue fire, surrounding all six intruders of the forest. Nori and Momoko jumped a bit, while Perceval, Naida and Izanagi readied themselves as the flames formed a full ring behind them.

A most ghastly environment. Perfect dark, ominous blue fire, and a feeling of dread... emptiness...

With the chase halted due to their own wariness and uncertainty, they steeled their nerves as one, turning their heads about for whatever could be the cause of this.

"... Hehe...♥"

... And it seemed to have already arrived...

It all happened so suddenly. One moment this was a forest painted an orange gold and dull purple by the sunset and twilight rays, perfect for a tranquil autumn painting, before melting into this cerulean hellhole, followed by being rushed and trapped together, like a herd of sheep listed for the slaughterhouse.

There wasn't even any time to react... those who suffered deep wounds could feel themselves kneeling to the floor. Even as the frenzy continued and did their best to fight back, the wounds... the stinging marks, the ominous strength steeped within... their eyes...

... fading to black...

...

...

" ... M-Momoko...? Nori? A-anyone, nene...?"

The Audino was absolutely confused, not to mention shaken to her core. She could've sworn she was in the forest with her Gardevoir and Gothitelle friends, but now she was in this pitch black emptiness... what happened? Was it nighttime, she pondered?

Kari wobbled up onto her legs, frantically searching around for someone to recognize, but to no avail. Just as she cupped her hands over her mouth, she felt some slender palms rest themselves on her shoulder, calling to her gently as the Audicham was turned around.

"Kari...!"

"M-momoko!" Kari sighed with relief, placing hands over her heart as she sighed with relief. "I-I'm so glad to see you! Where are we? What's going on?"

"..."

" ... I-is everything oka-- ... wait..." Kari couldn't help but notice one detail off with her Gardevoir friend. "... M-Momoko?"

"... Yes...?"

"... What's... w-what's wrong with your--"

" S o . . . h u n g r y . . . ! "

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHH--!!"

Kari tried her best to push herself away, but Keiko was the faster one; the Audino felt herself being whirled right back around... and then there was the wet sound of snapping bone, accompanied by crackling jolts of sheer agony.

"A-AAAAAAAH, AAAAAAAAAHHHH!! AAAAH, W-WHAT'RE YOU-- MOMOKO!! NORI!! SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!"

Try as she might, Kari could not do a thing. This beast's grip was strong; claws too sharp and massive to let her slip away. The position was terrible; Kari could angle her palms properly to try to reach back for a force palm. There was no freedom; these jaws felt like a bear trap, and Keiko refused to let go.

Kari was mortified, crying desperately out of horror as she futilely struggled against the predator. Her screams reached the skies for only a few good seconds before she felt a massive claw clamp over her mouth, with the Lucaritales cackling with licking lips.

"Awww... you poor thing, you're crying so much... it hurts, doesn't it...?" Keiko kept that devillish grin alive as her eyes lit up with ravenous delight. "You and everyone else made me waste a soul from what could've been an avoidable fatal wound... you thought you were being sneaky... you thought you had me. Hah... well don't worry...  it's just you and I out here now... and I'm going to pay you back, by giving you the first honors of this lovely little trick..."

Keiko kept her jaws and claws clasped over Kari's bleeding, writhing form, keeping her still as possible as the poor girl began to lose consciousness. As her will to live began to subside, the Lucaritales gradually pulled her claw out... and seemed to be stringing something out of the Audino.

"... There it is... just a liiiiittle more... come on out, you sweet little morsel...~♪"

and eddie hates being sick but he really does love getting to be on the receiving end of lu’s caring, especially when we get to bring back the trope of lu being completely stone faced while dealing with anyone else, but then dealing with eddie makes him so soft hearted and mushy, i love this very much
