Todoroki!MC
Tumblr media
Prompt:
Tumblr media
Pairing: OM!Brothers and GN!MC
Genre: NA
TW: My hate for Endeavour is very clear, no good feelings towards Endeavour here, idk what else-
Tumblr media
“Hey, MC.”
MC looked up from their D.D.D to Satan. It was one of the rare days in the HOL where all the brothers would be gathered in one room without fighting. As peaceful as the atmosphere was, MC had a feeling the next few minutes could very well throw the entire room into chaos. “Yes Satan?”
“I know you told us about how the humans have ‘quirks’ now, but you haven’t really talked about your family. Considering you have both ice and fire power, your family must be incredibly powerful.”
MC scoffed, turning their attention back to their D.D.D as they said, “What’s there to talk about? My dad’s a power-hungry asshole who’s now the substitute for the No. 1 Hero, my mom’s in the mental hospital because of him, my eldest brother Touya who was thought to be dead is now a villain, Natsuo’s never home anymore because he can’t stand the sight of dad, Fuyumi’s trying to keep this dysfunctional mess of a family together, and me and my twin Shoto have enough trauma to last us for a few lifetimes.” Their venomous words caught everyone off-guard, and for a few moments only the sound of the fire crackling in the fireplace could be heard.
Clearing his throat, Lucifer asked, “ What do you mean MC?”
Sighing, MC decided to tell the brothers about their dad’s obsession with All Might, their circumstances and reasons for birth, and the hellish training they underwent in order to 'surpass All Might.’
Tumblr media
Lucifer
What in the three realms-
Lucifer looks calm on the outside, but inside he’s seething with enough rage to create another Satan.
After everyone has gone to their rooms for the night, he calls MC to his office and asks MC if they want to visit their mom and siblings, reassuring them that he won’t let any harm befall them anymore.
Reminds them semi-regularly that they are their own person, and that he’s proud of them.
Decides to schedule a visit to the Human Realm in the near future to deal with MC’s dad. And when I say this demon’s gonna drag Enji Todoroki’s soul to the pits of hell, you best believe me.
Mammon
What the hell did this human have to endure wtf-
His first reaction is to scoop them in a hug, mostly to calm himself and remind himself that MC's here with him, they're safe, and that there's no immediate danger.
Becomes hella protective of MC, more than he already was.
Hates their dad more than he hates debts, you best believe he’ll be looking up ways to make Endeavour’s life miserable
Becomes a little more mindful of MC, if they look even the slightest bit uncomfortable he will do whatever is needed to make them feel comfortable.
He reminds them that they should do what they want and what makes them happy. Anyone who even thinks of forcing them to do something will have to go through him first.
Leviathan
Levi subconsciously transforms into his demon form when he hears of this
Why did his Henry have to suffer all that? Sure all protagonists have sad back stories, but MC’s so kind and nice to him, a yucky otaku who’s always holed up in his room. It’s not fair for them to have gone through all this!
Offers to feed Endeavour to Lotan. He’d do anything for his Henry after all.
Now, whenever they hang out, Levi is extra mindful of his words and temper, since he doesn’t want for MC to be scared of him or hate him.
Satan
So MC hates their dad? He can relate with that-
No but on a serious note, he’s worried about MC. Also feels kind of guilty for asking-
He’s also seething with anger at things MC’s said.
No one deserves to go through such toxic situations, and certainly not his MC.
Teams up, albeit reluctantly, with Lucifer to teach their dad a lesson for hurting MC.
A little curious about their family, and asks MC about them in private. Do they miss them? Who's their favorite sibling? Do they want to visit them? Surely Lucifer would allow it if they really wanted to.
Makes them read books with the found family trope and reminds them that him and every single one of his brothers would kill for them. His wording and tone may be a bit too intense for their liking, but his intentions are pure :)
Asmodeus
Gasp! How dare that man hurt his cute little munchkin?!
Yeah, Asmo is not happy with Endeavour one bit. After all, hurting the second most beautiful being in all three realms and the holder of his heart is a grave crime!
Will team up with Solomon to absolutely ruin Endeavour’s name and influence, just give him the word MC~
King of self-care. Will have spa days with MC where he’ll reassure them that they are their own person, not a tool to surpass someone else.
Beelzebub
So MC has a twin? They must be missing him so much-
That’s his first thought, seeing as how much he missed his own twin when Belphie was imprisoned in the attic.
The second thing that he feels is worry and sympathy for MC and the rest of their family.
Their dad must have been horrible, if MC’s words were anything to go by.
“I could eat him if you want me to MC. Though I don’t know if he’ll taste good, since he’s such a rotten person.”
Would like to know more about the rest of their family though, especially their twin.
Belphegor
He’s convinced that all of humanity is bad now, stop him before he goes on a killing spree-
Becomes clingier. MC should expect him to be hanging off of one of their arms at all times. Naptime is now all the time MC, don’t resist him.
Offers to help them if they have nightmares. Man’s the Avatar of Sloth, dreams and nightmares are under his jurisdiction.
Asks a bit about their family and whether they wish their twin was here. Depending on their answers, he debates whether to ask Lucifer to bring their family to the Devildom to keep them safe.
Won’t exactly go up to the Human Realm in order to hurt Endeavour like Lucifer and Satan, but if Enji mysteriously gets insomnia or terrifyingly realistic nightmares, well, what does he know of it?

as i get towards the end of act 1 and start toeing along the act 1.5 creche/underdark stuff, i want to put down some roz/astarion thoughts because i think their dynamic is really interesting ignore that im unbelievably biased
the thing is that theyre both, in their own way, really good with navigating other people. they've both learned the scripts they need to follow to more or less walk out of any given interaction with what they want.
famously, if astarion wants something he uses 200 years of fine tuned routines to seduce and manipulate people into whatever he wants; be that a victim to lure away or a secure ally to keep him safe in uncertain times. while he latches on to roz/the PC, it's worth noting that he flirts with everyone. perhaps because he doesn't know how else to talk to people. at least, not anymore.
if roz wants something, they tend to dig into the other person's head to find what they need, or failing that, they brute force intimidate their way through. however, that doesnt really work when they want to make friends; people they see every day aren't going to appreciate either approach. so what do they do? well.... they do what they're told. every long-term relationship (of any kind) that they've ever had "worked" because they figured out what the other person wanted and they did it, to the letter. that's how they keep people close - by pleasing them.
which creates a bit of interesting feedback loop when these two are side by side, i think. roz is interested in at the very least a working relationship with astarion (and everyone in the party), so they make an effort to talk to him and take interest in him, to find out what he wants from them. astarion assumes this interest must be attraction - why else would anyone take the time of day? and, conveniently, roz is also very powerful and influential in this little ragtag band, so they make for a good person to get on his side.
astarion begins his routine. obvious flirting, everything short of eyebrow waggling. he propositions roz with the assumption that that's what they want from him. that it's how he can lure them in and thus secure some modicum of safety and power in a very uncertain time. roz says yes because... well, astarion's been pretty clear that this is what he wants, hasn't he? he wouldn't ask if this wasn't what he wanted from them. and while they don't understand his attraction, and they don't even really think he is attracted to them, there's no harm in indulging him.
they've tricked each other, a little on accident, a little on purpose. when they sleep together, the irony is that neither of them really wants it, they just both think the other does, and they both want the other to stick around.
it isn't until after that astarion feels secure enough to let his guard down the slightest bit, to show roz something genuine enough for them to actually fall for. and eventually, he sees something in them, too. something that makes them deserving of more than just... pretending.
in the meantime, they both think they've solved it - they think they've found the right mix of allowances and teeth-gritting compromises to give the other exactly what they want. and pretty soon they're going to care about each other enough that admitting what they actually want is going to be really fucking scary.

AoT Warriors' Comforting Methods
cuz lord knows i need my comfort characters to comfort me (here's some sunflowers cuz they're happy flowers)
Tumblr media
Annie
as a person who very much values her personal space Annie would never try and force her comfort on you, only if you would ask her
doesn't cross your boundaries and doesn't get too imaginative with her consolation — she would only do things that she knows for sure would relieve your stress
Annie prefers actions over words so expect her to bring you your favourite food/drink or take you to your favourite place in the city to un-wind there
doesn't say too much and prefers that you talk at her rather than to her about the reasons for your distress
and if she talks, it'd be short snippets of encouragement, urging you to continue
giving a piece of advice is a big no-no for Annie — she doesn't want to restrict you with her opinions
Bertholdt
don't seek comfort from Bert — he wouldn't understand what you want from him exactly
Bert cherishes you and if you are stressed out, he would try to solve the problem that puts so much pressure on you (even though you didn't ask him)
as your friend, it is his job to support you so he would try and show his dedication to you via problem-solving — but in the slightly off-putting way
so he would arrange a whole case-study for you — presenting you with the worst case scenario to your problem and assure you that there's nothing to be worried about and if there is, Bert would be there to help you
Bert is trying to comfort you but to him problem-solving is the way to comfort you
he's not very eloquent with words so the most comforting phrase you would hear from him would be "it's gonna be alright"
Colt
an absolute joy to be around whenever you feel down
there's no need to confide in him — Colt is able to pick up on your distress right away
would make it his mission to make you feel as comforted as possible by using words of affirmation
but his eagerness to put you at ease may end up a bit agressive — Colt would shower you with kind words of how talented, brilliant, amazing (etc.) you are without giving your ears a break
with that praises you would immediately feel better and gain confidence and energy to go through your day
Pieck
if anything, Pieck's comforting methods combine words of affirmation, a piece of advice and un-winding together
Pieck's first call would be to distract you from your worry by offering to do some other activity so that you are cheered up
after that, she would try to comfort you with her words in an attempt to put you at ease
on this day Pieck would like you to feel as happy as possible
but her comfort is a double-edged sword because after that pampering session she would want you to gather your strength for the last push
Pieck is not that comforting, she's more of an inspiring type
Porco
turns into a total chatter-box/gossiper when he's comforting you and lends a sympathetic ear to you
a cafe would be a perfect spot for your comforting session since you can also indulge yourselves with sweets there
Porco wants you to spill all the tea about your day and things that've upset you — with all of the juicy details
Porco is your personal (slightly toxic) cheerleader, swallowing your every word and praising you for even the slightest display of self confidence
"Yes, you tell them!" Porco would yell out occasionally while listening to you, "They don't deserve you. You're the most brilliant person alive and you must know that!"
there's not much of advice to his words but at the end of the day you would feel like the most valuable human being that has ever walked this Earth
Reiner
being a huge cuddle bug that he is, Reiner is all about the touch
even he is not too skilled with words, a warm embrace (especially if it's coming from Reiner) is worth infinitely more than words of affirmation
so Reiner would comfort you with his big bear hugs or just by holding your hand — the main thing is, Reiner would make sure that you can feel his body heat radiating on your skin
you two may indulge yourselves to a movie night — your favourite film set on TV, the couch littered with all sorts of snacks, and you, warm and safe in a cradle of Reiner's arms
no matter what challenge is posed against you, Reiner has infinite amount of faith in you and your inner strength
Zeke
concept of comfort is foreign for Zeke — all throughout his childhood his inner turmoil was ignored by the adults and he learned to deal with his problems by himself
so it comes as a surprise for him once you come up to Zeke seeking his piece of advice and comfort
but Zeke learns to love helping you — the fact that you deemed him qualified enough to ask for his help is extremely flattering to him and his cognitive capabilities
comforting is still not his cup of tea — the timing doesn't come to him naturally and you have to let him know about your distress
Zeke prefers words over actions and while comforting you he would still aim for actually trying to solve your problem instead of offering words of encouragement

Those anons you're getting must think Will Byers is an ableist towards sociopaths since he's also on the side of killing Vecna :/
I'm just in shock at the insanity LMAO... first of all, you're entitled to hate a character for literally no reason at all! But these people are mad because..... you think a serial killing monster (YES, monster. He is literally a tentacle-wielding, soul-sucking monster. IN CANON 😭) deserves to get what's coming to him?
And using their headcanons (HEADCANONS!) and convoluted theories as fodder to make you out to be some unempathetic person is just wild. Imagine people having this reaction towards Dr. Brenner (nobody would ever pull this kind of fit because Brenner is an old slightly less fuckable man who hurt their little meow meow, and is therefore irredeemable).
I've secretly been sideeyeing that side of the byler/sttheorist community for a bit now, but seeing them blow up at you on anon (when we all can tell exactly who is sending the anons 👁️👁️) is just so......
Thank you!!!
I am not surprised in the slightest, to be honest I've seen how people started talking about him and it's been annoying me since the start, and they think they are so morally superior to everyone because they want to be Gandhi and think he should be forgiven only because he has trauma...
half of the characters in the show have HEAVY trauma and none of them choose that path of hate and delusional narcissistic tendencies
Eleven is the most important example of this, she went through everything Henry experiences and she still chooses to be good every day even with all that trauma she has, she chooses mercy and kindness and love
Henry made a different choice because he can't experience love unfortunately so he relied on the closest thing he could find similar to joy → having control and power on other people and becoming a god amongst them

Notes of warning/importance
I have a slight headcannon for some lore here. The circles are giant domed cities connected to one another via tubes with plenty of ventilation to keep out the mists from what I call the badlands. These mists corrupt almost all who enter by first slowly but noticably draining a demons sentience turning them into beasts of burden with one mission and one mission only...Feed. of course it also slowly corrupts the form until it's a complete feral form of itself. The only beings so far known to resist the mists were Lucifer and Lilith aside from the dragon twins. I also suck at art like my blog description says so I used avatar makers to make the pictures here and I'll just use an image of deathwing from world of Warcraft/blizzard entertainment for Bahamut 's dragon form and an ancient silver dragon from DND/wizards of the coast for tiamaht's until I can better form arts of the dragon modes better myself.
Roleplay rules&info
Minors DNI
Bahamut is straight and Tiamaht, Ruby, and Lillian are lesbian both dragons are polyamorous and imps are monogamous
Shitposting questions are not allowed so no "ur mom gae" kinda stuff.
If absolutely necessary I will deactivate anon asks but I don't want to for now and will change this bit of text if I had to.
Be respectful of others and me as a person out of character because in character is one thing, lots of folk in hell are pricks. People have their own lives and luxuries to live and experience and don't deserve to be rushed or disrespected when you don't even know the person in the slightest.
Sexual asks I must mention be kept to an all time low or just not at all but there are characters like angel even if they're not other men or other angel dusts and I can't stop them but in most cases I won't be answering them
Character intros
These are the twin dragons of hell Bahamut (left), Keeper of Knowledge was manifested billions of ages ago when Hell was a singular realm and not split into the 7 circles that we have now in modern day. According to many legends of him (and to confirm them) he IS Hell's oldest living encyclopedia and a master strategist. He has the wit, but not the power, to far exceed any modernly known demon...including the Radio Demon himself. But if he were put into a fight of raw power against say, angel dust, the spirder'd be burned to a crisp. He believes in Charlie's ambitious nature but as a Primordial Daemon, Bahamut is bound to Hell and can never be redeemed despite his efforts and has made peace with that. (Physical notes not said: he's 5'10, he's not lacking for anyone he's with and though I didn't find a good one he does have a longer tail to sell the dragon aspect further)
Tumblr media
His sister Tiamaht, Protectorate or Relics(right) was a demon born before Hell was divided into the 7 circles we know now. She, like her brother, is an extremely loyal demon. She is the strength to her brother's strategy yet is far more nomadic than him. Of course she's not all that into planning without Bahamut there. Unlike Bahamut though she uses ice magic instead of flame magic. In person lately she is very tomboyish and kind of a dick but openly admits as such but follows up with "people need people to be blunt sometimes and it's not easy but if I'm the one who has to in situations I'm then I'll make sure I tell it how it is" (physical details not told yet: shes 5'3, they may not be bif but her partners love em, also has a tail she uses to teasingly spank partners.)
Tumblr media
And below this text are the dragon forms
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other OCs
Tumblr media
Name: Ruby Bakers, Age: 1845, Gender: post op MtF (bc apparently males have thick white stripes and that's how to differentiate and I just thought it was a humans gender dimorphism thing which made me pick these horns before I knew), Orientation: technically lesbian now but she's attracted to women. Job: Helluva Post delivery woman
(Both Ruby and Lillian were made using this ⬇️)
Tumblr media
Name: Lillian Servont (pronounced like servant but it's Ser-vahnt), age 1576, gender: cis female, orientation: poly lesbian, job: personal assistant/secretary to the first overlord to accept her application (will edit this post to change that) so that she can run a business specifically meant to send people on that path.

OKAY SO UHM. HEART YEAH?!? Yeah. Uhm. I didnt Know what to expect when i saw the ‚heart appears in this chapter‘ tw but. I will at least give them that it was not as bad a tw as normal with them.
And in Heart‘s defence they literally show up trying to make sure Anne‘s body doesnt start deteriorating and then while theyre there everyone starts yelling at them about how much they hate them and want them to leave immediately. Like all things considered they handled that Great with only the slightest bit of accidental violence
My notes started getting a bit sparce when they showed up because i just. If i didnt i would have put Everything in here. Its like. I dont even know where to start like What. The way they talk to Witney man…. And like. BRO WHEN WITNEY STOOD UP TO THEM SO REAL. that moment when u finally get the courage to stand up for urself because u wanna help out ur new bestie because shes missing her gf who almost died and just wants to hug her for a little bit. Don’t even get me STARTED on Marcy‘s argument about Witney being a different person now,,,,,,,,, the BELOVEDS. I love them. Time to be insane over Heartney forever and ever again now welp
Like I have said, having Heart show up was one of the parts I was MOST excited for.
NOBODY likes Heart. That’s the funny part. Besides Witney, everyone who interacts with them in this chapter harbors an intense amount of resentment for them, whether they’ve been harmed by Heart or had a loved one that was. And even Witney is starting to see them in a more negative light. Not one person was comfortable with them being able to just walk around. And can you blame them? The last time most of the Wartwoodians saw them, they were attacking Sasha and breaking the music box. This is all very dangerous territory, and they have no idea that Heart and Anne have been talking, or that Anne is giving them some trust. This is just another game, another trick.
Heart knows that’s how they feel. They’re used to everyone around them absolutely despising them. So they know now to handle this situation delicately. I also think it went great, even if there was some accidental violence. Harming Maddie was entirely an accident, and what’s extra interesting is that Maddie actually recognizes it as an accident while her friends are very quick to point fingers. Maddie is the least affected by Heart’s presence since she’s never had direct contact with them before now. So her bias about them is not nearly as awful, and it allows her to see when they didn’t mean to hurt her. We have to appreciate Maddie for keeping a cool head during this whole incident and largely being the one to suggest waking Heart back up. If not they might’ve been trapped in the purple void until Anne woke up. How horrible would that be?
Oh Heartney…. My beloved. There’s something that can be said about how Heart’s spoken to Witney like this for a thousand years and how jarring it is now that Witney just doesn’t take it anymore. I like how Heart is genuinely surprised when Witney says no to them. Imagine all the messed up things that Heart’s done that Witney’s just. Gone along with. Standing up for herself and deciding she can form her own opinions is huge for her character development. Witney deserves better and it’s about damn time he realized it himself. I particularly like this section:
“Forgive me for not trusting you at present,” Witney prefaces. “But I have someone to protect now. You understand, don’t you?” Even Marcy can tell this pains her to say. Every word is a struggle, every sound hurts more and more and it’s remarkable she can stand her ground in the face of their biggest threat at present, but it must be different now that she has Marcy.
They let out a small chuckle. “Looks like I’m not the only one who’s attached. What happened to you, Wit?”
“Time,” she tells them. “And more kindness and care in one person than two centuries of twisted maniacs.”
They relax, finally, allow Marcy her clinging for now because Witney’s not going to let up either.
“It’s a good thing,” they say. “What are we if not for our vessels? I was beginning to think you’d never care.”
The difference between Witney and Heart has always been their perceptions of their vessels. Witney spent so long being afraid of hers meanwhile Heart was extremely possessive and controlling of theirs. They believe now that Witney has changed for the better in terms of fiercely defending his vessel, but with it comes the territory of Witney gaining a lot more autonomy. Now she can make her own decisions, and that means Heart’s control over him has begun to slip. While this should be a good thing overall, it also means there will be arguments between the two of them, because now Heart can’t just get everything they want from Witney. They aren’t used to this. They will have to get used to it.
And I like how Marcy is so insistent that Witney’s a different person now. She out of the gems has changed the most drastically since a thousand years ago, but the other two don’t tend to recognize it. Heart in particular keeps trying to treat him the same way they did a thousand years ago, and it simply will not work anymore. She just isn’t who she was then. There will be a new dynamic between the three of them from now on.
Will join u for sure <3 I hyperfocus on each gem ship at different times but I come back to Heartney so often it’s ridiculous. I love these little funky dudes

@leondxs
The fae did not dawdle once they’d entered the kitchen. He listened to Piter’s ramblings half heartedly, giving a little ❝ Hmm, ❞ here and there in response.. His true focus was on preparing (as little as that entailed) his meal. Despite what humans thought, Leondas was but a simple creature, driven by food most of all as most animals were. He grabbed the designated skillet and lay a hearty slab of flesh upon it, warming it gingerly. He did not season nor cook his meals at all, but he did prefer them warm. As close to life as a dead piece of meat possibly could be. And human flesh was such a prize on it’s own  It did not require anything additional in his eyes.
The cat did not go unnoticed. In fact, Leondas’ attention seemed to turn immediately to the feline once it had entered the room. He smiled at the creature, as warmly as a human would greet another of their kin. He knew why it was here and he did not blame it in the slightest. In fact, he was more than willing to share his ‘catch’.
Once he’d sufficiently warmed it, he transferred it to a plate. With a single claw, he sliced off a bloody piece. He knelt before the feline, gently extending a hand and allowing it to smell him. He wondered just how Piter would react, having the cat taste of human flesh. It would be rude of him to deny his fellow creature such a delicious treat. Oh so curious was he that he would find out. He offered the piece of flesh, making sure to look directly, unblinkingly, at the human all the while, as if daring him to oppose in any way.
His ears perked at the mention of a dragon. The pointed tips of his ears peeked far past his ginger hair, not too dissimilar to his feline friend’s. Dragons and he did not interact much, he preferred to steer clear of them and not interfere with their business. They were creatures just as he, doing what they must... and then some, to survive. He would be a hypocrite to deny them such freedom.
But alas, it seemed their agreement would require such.
❝ They can be quite difficult, for sure. Especially the firebreathing kind. ❞ he murmured, the foreign warmth in his eyes brought on by the cat gone as his attention went to more pressing matters. ❝ Very much mortal as any other creature, however. It is a matter of finding their weakness. Though I imagine that is a bit difficult whilst also avoiding being roasted alive. ❞
He smiled suddenly, as if he’d just told a clever joke. ❝ That is for your kind, at least. A dragon would be a relatively simple task for one as myself. They are animals, after all. Much more inclined to listen to me rather than a little human. ❞
The word little was almost hissed. He’d meant to say a nasty insult than such, but thought it inappropriate. Piter had been such an excellent host thus far, the least he could do was not insult his species so vehemently.
Piter watches Leondas feed the cat with silent, slightly astonished acceptance. When Leondas makes unsmiling eye contact, he returns it just as blankly.
Piter is used to being the strangest, most terrible one in any room. He is not the Baron's only torturer, but it's his face people put to their worst fears about stepping too far out of line. He is as human as they come, but his register of sins contains far worse than feeding a little dead flesh to a cat. He wonders at what kind of power play or dynamic is supposed to be playing out here. Does one such as him even deserve to view Leo's unrepentant desecration with moral unease? The dead horse thief certainly might not see much of a difference between the two of them. Wolves showing each other their teeth.
He nods at Leondas's musing over dragons. A sensible response. Not an offer to help, and not a refusal. The possibility of communicating with the beast surprises him, and he turns his head to the side to buy a little space to think.
"I would not trouble you with the burden of calling us friends," he laughs thoughtfully, "but now I am wondering if this dragon might be interested in joining in our little council."
Might be interested in joining in our little council of freaks.
"You could talk to the thing, eh? Wow. If I could negotiate with a dragon - through you, of course - I might like to send him on projects to pressure, influence, or distract my employer. Surely the influence of my hand would be quite invisible!"
He turns to Leondas with a playful spark in his eye. "Some days I am sure that I, in my role of "advisor," do more to run the Barony than the man with the title," he says brightly, allowing the treasonous words to spill out easily. "Now, that causes the obvious issue of going without credit, to be sure. But running even deeper is the problem that if our dear friend the Baron gets it in his head to pursue a choice that runs contrary to the machine's actual functioning, by the estimation of the person who actually knows how it functions, he can be incredibly difficult to persuade that he is in the wrong! And then when it all comes apart, it is not, "where have I gone wrong," but rather, "why have you not kept this together, Piter."
He's looking at the table now, shaking his head and laughing. "All of our squabbling is surely not deeply interesting to you; but please know that if I ever kill the man, I will have no use for the meat."

good morning rose, wanted to drop by and say i hope you can just once see yourself as many of us strangers see you. very beautiful and sweet, almost magical really. but as long as you are happy and content with yourself that's the main thing. i admire you and your grace. best wishes and have a lovely day
Oh!
Well hello, my sweet anon! ♡
A bright and beautiful day to you, too!
Goodness! What a sweet and gentle surprise this was for me. ♡ ♡
You’re just like an angel to me today! Or something equally as amazing! :D
Because you brought me something so lovely and I wasn’t expecting it in the slightest! Honestly I’m not even sure I’m worth such sentiments?
My face is red now I think hehe. :’)
I don’t see myself as so special most of the time!
I feel a bit like a ghost at times. That I float through life mostly unseen. Sometimes I don’t feel much like a part of this world.
Just look at you noticing me though!
I think that must mean you’re pretty special, too, huh? Well you are to me!
So thank you so much for thinking of me and for finding me something worth being kind to. That means so very much to me. ♡ ♡
I hope that you are happy and content also, my dear friend, as well as safe, warm, and full of love and joy. Such a wonderful soul deserves an equally wonderful day so I’m praying you will be nothing but blessed today!
Sending many hugs, kisses, and well-wishes!
Please take good care of yourself! I wish you all the very best ~ ! xoxo ✿ 。˚₊ 🦋 ✧ 。.:* ⊹ ♡ 🌸 🤍

Ok so I have very low self-esteem for 2 reasons mostly 1. I was bullied from late elementary all through middle school 2. I’m very socially awkward.
I never see myself as good enough for anyone which makes it worse. I think all my friends and family are gorgeous so the attention is well deserved but it god hurts so much seeing everyone you know get flirted with, asked out, or dated while I’m just there. My mom always tells me I’m beautiful and that it’s just the people where we live but I don’t even believe that (yk the whole “mom compliment” thing). Everyday that goes by I pick myself apart more than before and I don’t know what to do. I just want to be loved like people like everyone else. I feel so bad for feeling jealous or even the slightest bit of resentment when my friends are complimented by people in front of me but I just can’t help it. I’ve tried to approach people to talk to them or just compliment but I always get overly nervous and stutter or just a weird look. And It’s like the only time I get told I look pretty is when I’m wearing makeup which really hurts but people always get weirded out when I say that it hurt lowk my feelings. I just want to have some self confidence because I’ve heard that people are attracted to confidence but I don’t know how to start from zero. - Cass M
Hey there,
Firstly, I am so sorry that you were bullied. This must have really shattered not only your self-esteem but also your self-confidence. I want you to know though that those who do go through a tough time (not that it makes it OK having to go through that tough time in the first place) tend to come out on top later in life. So please do be kind to yourself right now.
Whilst I agree that people are drawn to those who are confident about themselves, I believe that they are more so drawn to those people that have similar interests/ beliefs and that kind of thing. So, whilst it may seem like those that are seen as ‘gorgeous’ get more compliments than let’s say you, who’s to say what kind of relationship that person has with them. I think - and this is just my opinion – that those people that are drawn to similar people like themselves (same interest/ beliefs as an example) will have a much fuller relationship than a superficial one that may come from those relationships where one falls for another’s good looks. I hope that makes sense! And, I know that you will hate me saying this but maybe it’s time to be a little less hard on yourself and instead just focus on being the beautiful and caring person you are on both the inside and out.
And yes, wearing make up can be good and fun but it doesn’t show who you really are and I personally believe that some people who do use make up may be insecure about their own looks and so I give you the upmost of credit for being able to not go to it and especially as you know it only makes you feel worse when people only notice you when you do wear it, instead of focusing on who you are as a person.
I really hope that this has helped a bit and please do let us know it we can help to support you in any other way!
I’m thinking of you and hope that you are going well!
Take care,
Lauren

Why I refuse to play the remake of Resident Evil 4. PART 2 😒
Tumblr media
Since the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, it has done well critically and financially for Capcom. And despite my grievances, it will more than likely push the franchise even deeper into the era of the Remake we are trapped in. Again, it doesn't look like a bad game at all...but It's just not the same. This is not the game I grew up with. Nor is it a game that really takes the series anywhere new...I hate Remakes. I have come to hate them so much. And I have a pretty good reason why you should hate them too, as what I am about to say will hopefully breed just the slightest bit of resentment so you may feel just a hint of some of the same resentment that I have, and have carried for nearly 18 years.
So instead of a remake of RE4...why couldn't this game have been a direct sequel? Ya know...something that the fans have been asking about for over EIGHTEEN FUCKING YEARS!!! Was it so hard to ask for a new chapter to feature Leon as he was in RE4 (2005)? If final fantasy can make sequels to FF10, then why not give the same treatment to Resident Evil's finest hour? But no...they didn't do it then, they didn't do it then, they didn't do it 18 years later, and probably not even 18 years from now. So I guess a sequel to the greatest Resident Evil was just too much to ask for. Okay. Fine.
But I have another question worth asking,
why...hasn't Paul Mercier voiced Leon since the 05 game? Let me also add that I liked the younger depiction of Leon in the Resident Evil 2 remake, because it establishes that there would be a deal of maturity and age for Leon from the events of RE2 and 4. but it doesn't work in the remake...why may you ask? By that point, Leon is supposed to be an older and much wiser guy who has been highly trained to carry out these kinds of dangerous and highly delicate missions. So not only does this New Leon not sound like him with the VA change, he doesn't even feel like the same person because his physical design show little to none of the physical maturity he had leading up to the events of RE4. That's another popular thing that happens in remake culture: just random ass recasts for no reason that only upsets the fans and gets them talking about the game. Outrage is free marketing.
And I get it. Capcom had to learn from their mistakes before we were even able to get to this point in time. I get it. I can't just suddenly get what I want by just getting mad. Or sad...
There was a time, when Resident Evil 4 (2005) didn't need the year stamp to distinguish it from something else. There was a time when Resident Evil 4, was the most impressive and cutting edge survival horror game the world had ever seen. It was a masterpiece. It was a game that I played through so many times, that I don't think that there is one aspect about it, no easter egg or anything hidden that I didn't find. I have played that game so thoroughly, that I might have tried to play it blindfolded. I can say that, when it comes to gaming, RE4 represents something that other mediums couldn't possibly emulate. And boy did hollywood try so hard just to always fail even to this day. It captured everything that is great about gaming. RE4 is one of those games that reminds us of why we love video games...
RE4 (2023), has effectively robbed the original of its identity. Which means, instead of Hollywood emulating video games...video games are not emulating hollywood in its absolute worst era. Which means that right now, Video Games, could be in its own worst era. Why is it a bad thing? because remakes, do not deserve to piggyback off of the hard work of yesterday's artists. The path that was paved yesterday, must be walked on today, so we may continue to build the path forward. Remakes are part of the Nostalgia Limbo, that we are being forced into. Nobody really asks for remakes. People want something new. And when they don't get that or are dissatisfied with the new thing, they look back at the things that they loved before. And that part of us, is being exploited. We are no longer going forward, because the artists of yesterday are either dead or cancelled, and the artists of today don't know how to build paths forward, so they build towers going up! They build the towers higher, and higher, inch new feat making the whole thing more and more wobbly and unstable, until finally, the industry's tower of babylon can't stand up any more and topples to the ground.
Only then will people realize, that going up, isn't really going anywhere. Because as soon as they fall, they find themselves right back where they started, at ground level.
So...what made the original...THE Resident Evil 4, so special? Because it was one step forward for the Resident Evil series, and then one giant leap forward for all of gaming still felt today.
Think about that.
Now... let's try and move forward.
PS
AND WHERE ARE MY MOTHER FUCKING QUICK TIME EVENTS? RE4 WAS THE ONLY GAME THAT EVER DID THEM RIGHT!!!!

Talk of anxiety and death and morbid things below. I’m just kinda rambling 😅
Not for the feint of heart!!! S**c*d* mention
My therapist told me to read this book about anxiety.
Except most of it I’m sitting here wishing I had that kind of anxiety.
Like, I’m not down playing anyone else’s anxiety!! At all!
But I’m the existential dread kinda person, the problem of if someone realizes I have acne doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I can get how it’d be bad for some. I’m just better at handling that type. Less so the knowledge of we’re all gonna die and we’re walking closer and closer to our deaths. I’ve seen my grandparents rot almost, going from being able to do everything to slowly having it taken away piece by piece until they can’t even sit up, or eat. Soooooooo yeah that’s what scares me. We’re all slowly rotting away. And I know that’s a very biased term, it’s just the best I can use from my experience.
Anyway, on a lighter note. The section about panic had me cackling.
Some very realistic descriptions of a panic attack, which I’ve had a good many so yay. And then this sentence.
‘Your brain screams at you, “This is it! I’m dying! There is no way out! Everyone is watching as I pass out, or even die!”’
….
Excuse me? XD PFFFFFT! YOURE WORRIED PEOPLE ARE GONNA WATCH YOU PASS OUT?! THATS THE CONCERN?
I apologize if this is close to what anyone has thought but uhhh?….. I’d rather someone see me pass out? So I can get help? XD Y’know, maybe see if I hit my head on the way down or anything. It’s worse when I’m alone and I might pass out and it’s hours till anyone finds me. This makes zero sense to me, PEOPLE NEED TO SEE IT TO HELP! And yes you need help if you’ve passed out. Make sure you’re ok. Please. You deserve to have good health like that.
Also, while this is morbid, I’m more worried about the fact I might not be aloud to die? Not “IM GONNA DIE” it’s more “Dang that’s gonna hurt, I wanna avoid that” but I watched my grandmother live for a loooonnng time. Longer than most people thought. She was a fighter, and I respect her a lot for that. But it did kinda change my fear of death into a fear of not being able to die. I’d go crazy if I were immortal. Life kinda sucks, ngl. It’s hurt, pain and tears. And while it’s not that all the time, I’ve known someone whose entire existence turned into one of pain. I don’t believe suicide is ever an answer, that hurts all of the people around you. Plus there’s no good way to go like that, it all hurts a lot before the end. But I would definitely greet Death as a friend if he were to pick me up. My fear is one that I’ll have to live forever. I hate that it’s coming closer, but I’m not gonna do anything to stop it. An end will be so nice to have.
Oh gosh this got dark. Sorry! Reading this book must not have me in the best headspace. Yeesh. That explains how I can handle the toxic Internet better the real life. Oooof. Sorry about this…. Well uhhhh. Anyway. *sigh* welcome to my head when the dark hits I guess? Lol. Maybe I should go do something else for a bit. Idk. 😅

the water of life || atsuko & atsu || trial 6.6 || re: clement, kazuko, cyril
It’s a wonder to Atsu how Clement doesn’t immediately step away, push her off of him, leave her alone like she deserves. All of those times that she’d spoken about being a beast and a monster, they’d been about the serial killing, yes, but they’d also encompassed sins that she didn’t even remember committing, was positive that, with the body and mind she’d had, she hadn’t. When he does none of those things, even steps in front of her as though she’s the one who needs protecting from the old bitty who’s lording it up at the desk, she looks at him with wonder in her eyes. There might not be a dragon to slay, so to speak, but it reminds her more than a bit of those fairy tales.
Her daydreaming is cut short, and Atsuko’s fiery rant at her clone is also silenced by the existence of questions being posed to them. She didn’t miss these sorts of interviews. For sixty years, she’s avoided them, but she’s not unused to unwanted, unsolicited phone calls asking her inane and useless questions. Bo and Kisuke did a wonderful job of bothering her even after all of these years. Too bad she could never block their numbers.
As predicted, she does roll her eyes when Cyril goes and kisses Naoya on the head, but she waits until he’s done to respond to anything.
(But not before Atsu can get a squawk of “I’m right fucking here!” at the aging comment.)
“I’ll speak to the clone however I want. She’s undeserving of sharing a name with me, so she’s undeserving of decency as well since she so likes to disregard basic kindnesses like not betraying everything we’ve ever worked for. None of you are even really people. Just incomplete prototypes of the human beings society needs if it wants to thrive as a utopia, if we want any chance of creating a mortal Elysium.
As for your original selves: they’re dead. They were all killed in the first iteration of the experiment. The control group, so to speak. You found a file detailing that, or did it slip your mind already? I know there’s not much in there, so surely you can find room for it.”
Atsuko’s nails clack against the desk as she rhythmically taps her fingers one by one, staring at Clement with none of the familiarity her gaze held for him even on the plane. He is, in her mind, a stranger. They knew each other once, but things have changed, and she has no attachment to this clone any longer.
“Even if I disagree or disagreed with some things that Clara Futura did, it was all for the greater good. Humanity is flawed. Humans are flawed. Something is wrong in our creation that causes us to all eventually become self-serving, arrogant, unempathetic, and cruel. We are only out for ourselves and our own survival. Although problematic, you all, as well as myself, have some shred of hope for improvement. You were thought to be the ones who could be trained to rid yourselves of the need to kill and serve yourselves through selfish survival instincts. Don't ask me why some of you were chosen because I couldn't fucking hazard a guess. Maybe Ryo's just too stupid to see past pretty faces. It wouldn't surprise me. However, as you can very clearly see, you’ve all failed each and every time for the past 60 years. Congratulations.”
She says that with as much ire and sarcasm as she can physically muster--which is quite a bit! She’s got 60 years of hatred to work with.
“Even CF refused to see this through--that’s another problem with humanity, you know, you people are all too willing to just give up. You’re all too willing to throw in the towel at the slightest sign of resistance or turbulence. Nothing will ever get done if no one sees things through, and so nothing will ever improve. I refuse to lower myself to that, to become a quitter. Even if it took my entire lifetime, I would never stop because this must work. They talk about how the world has become a better place, but it’s still the same, the slime and muck and scum that have always been there are still there.”
While Atsuko speaks, Atsu looks on, and she’s unable to argue until the very end.
“You’re wrong. You’re blinded by some toxic preconceived notion that spawned from, what, some high schoolers taking the easy way out?! Police not helping, god, ten--no, seventy--years ago? Our father not helping in our childhood? Hope’s Peak being Hope’s Peak? If you just bothered to listen and wait and ask for help, then people would have--”
A bang rings out as Atsuko slams her hand against the desk.
“Help!? Ask for help!? Because that’s gone over so well in the past! People duck out as soon as it gets difficult or they just don’t see the need or they just don’t fucking care enough to bother. You’re just blinded by meaningless words! What makes these promises different from others, hm? Nothing! They will all amount to nothing.”
Once more, both Atsuko and Atsu fall silent, staring each other down with venom dripping from their teeth.

Hey, Hey, Hey! It’s been a minute but I didn’t wanna spam ya with requests while you have life stuff to deal with ☺️
This is similar to my Savage!MC ask but the brothers reacting to MC snapping at them and defending Mammon before calling the brothers out whenever they go too hard on him. Let’s be real, Mammon just acts on his sin and gets punished but when Lucifer’s a prick and threatens MC; crickets.
When Beel eats everything and damn near causes everyone to starve as well as threw a tantrum and nearly injured MC over custard;everyone turns a blind eye.
Levi guilt trips and whine over the smallest things but says the worst insults to Mammon and tried to kill MC over TSL.
Asmo acts like he’s above everyone and prefers to tend to his looks than help others (such as during the castle tour) but he gets no scolding.
Belphie routinely harasses Luci with Satan (who loses his temper) AND they all either threatened/killed MC but should Mammon do anything, he’s the worst. Even though Mammon:
- Never threatened MC
- Does shit for his brothers when asked (he may joke of needing a grimm but he’s an Avatar of greed and still gets the job done)
- Is very loyal to them
- And is a good brother to take falls for them. He knows how to sacrifice for them and the slightest inconvenience gets him thrown under the bus
These guys ain’t shit and I wouldn’t wanna be around them until they learn how to treat him better and equally work on their flaws rather than rip on Mammon, who’s a whole ass victim despite being the second strongest brother who takes it because he genuinely loves his brothers yet gets shit on by them so much.
Ooh this savage MC has nothing but heart eyes for Mammon and it's adorable. Right this one is going to be angsty and it's going to sting. I'm doing this in a short story instead of a headcannon cause it just seems right that way. Hope that's okay?
Tumblr media
It was just another one of those days Mammon tried to steal his brothers stuff and sell it again. Another day of being upside down and being laughed at. Normally he wouldn't care - it was the usual routine. But something seemed off this time.
"Mammon.. are you okay?" You approach him. He was rubbing his shoulders and arms as if to comfort the pain. He looked more tired and pained than usual.
"Ah I'm alright MC. Just the same old ya know?" He laughed. It sounded hollow yet it pierced your heart.
Enough. Enough of this. You weren't going to stand by and watch this happen again.
"You should rest." You place an arm on his shoulder and take him to his room. Making sure he's asleep, you leave. You have some problematic demons to deal with it.
"Ah MC? What brings you here? You seem rather disturbed." He asks as you storm into his study, fuming with anger.
"You tell me, you sadistic peacock." You had lost all sense of self-preservation and normalcy. Just echoing the rage in your brain.
"Excuse me?" Lucifer said, half-amused, half-shocked.
"Either you stop treating Mammon this way or I will make your life hell." You grit your teeth.
"I already have my brothers doing that what more will you do MC? Besides Mammon had it coming. He went stealing Levi's and Asmo's things again." Lucifer said nonchalantly.
"What do expect from the Avatar of Greed? He's just acting how he's cursed to. Just like the rest of you, nicompoops. Stop listening through the door and come inside." You said loudly.
The other brothers were still in the corridor nearby overhearing the whole thing. You could hear them gasp loudly at your boldness and scutter inside one by one.
"Now let me elaborate, so you rotten cucumbers understand me clearly." You cleared your throat.
Leviathan
"This little snake in tried to kill me because I may have known a little bit more about his favourite anime than him. Where's his punishment?" You point at Levi.
"MC I'm sorry...I couldn't help it was too new to me." Levi started. "But Mammon keeps stealing my things how is that fair-"
"And you keep throwing us into new kinds of disasters with your game hoarding problem."
"If you're still mad about the TSL incident I swear I take it all back-"
"Shut up snake, we know the reason. You're the Avatar of Envy. Getting jealous is your whole point. So you didn't get punished. Moving on..." Your finger now points to Satan. "This wild cat."
Satan
"He also threatened me cause I didn't want to make a pact with him. And when he actually flies off his handle, he wrecks his room and half the house down."
Satan seemed like he wanted to say something but he scowled and looked away.
"However I won't be too hard on him, cause he tries to keep his thing in check. And the whole reason he even has Wrath is because of Lucifer. So I get your hate towards Lucifer, but Mammon doesn't deserve any of it."
"MC you know I can't tolerate stupidity-" He grumbled.
"Oh must be hard looking in the mirror then, with all your failed pranks. And speaking of mirrors, this over- perfumed mannequin." You turn to Asmo.
Asmodeus
"How have I possibly hurt anyone MC? You know I stand for Love too right?" Asmo said, batting his pretty little eyes.
"For someone who stands for LOVE, if you can even call it that," You make a disgusted face, "You surely love making a mockery out of your elder brother and revel in his misery, you over- perfumed potato."
"But I never cause problems do I? Why must I be punished just for standing by?"
"Your high and mighty sense of worth is an illusion you live in. You dress up pretty and act social to validate yourself, trying to conceal the ugliness within. Truly you are nothing but Lust. Also you're the reason we almost got eaten by a giant snake." You shake your head. "Now speaking of eating..."
Beelzebub
"This giant food vaccum." You point to Beel. "He tried to eat me over a custard. Like excuse me? There's still plenty of food outside? And let's not forget that week we all had to eat cup ramen for a week cause he finished the whole pantry."
Beel softly muttered and apology and looked down.
"He even ate the walls and pillars once! Surely those renovations cost way more than however much Mammon steals? Where's his punishment?!"
"MC enough. He's sorry already." Beel's twin spoke up. You glared at him and smiled. "Don't worry I saved the best for last."
Belphegor
"This lazy murderous cow." You walk up to him slowly. "Not only does everyone have to your chores - you love causing chaos."
Belphie laughed, "That I do. But that's only with Lucifer. What else did I do?"
"Oh you want me to go there? I surely will." You say with a sting in your eye. "In your plan to avenge your sister, you killed what was left of her in the first timeline. And your brothers just stood by and watched. Where's your penance, you murder hornet?"
Belphie's eyes grew wide. Everyone looked shocked and uncomfortable. You never brought this up before now.
"But why bother asking you about it. I should be asking the ultimate punisher of this family." You turn to Lucifer.
Lucifer
"Ah! If it isn't Diavolo's pet dog! How is your master today? Does he treat you the way you treat Mammon? Is that why you come here to take your revenge on your little brother instead? Tell me Lucifer does Diavolo punish you then?"
"MC, I understand you maybe upset but you are crossing a line here." Lucifer stood up with a gutteral growl.
"Sit doggie. I didn't ask for you yet." You commanded. Lucifer sat back down as with great force. He stared at you flummoxed.
"Did you forget about the pacts already, you pompous goat? You have threatened and tried to kill me more than anyone else in this family so congratulations! I will use my pacts way more generously now." You mock bowed in gratitude.
"You might win in a fight against him but let me tell you this..." You stared back at the others.
"Mammon is the second strongest in this family. If he wanted to - if he REALLY wanted to, all of you would be turned to dust. He is stronger than all of you - but he hides it. He supresses his powers and his anger because he loves you too much. How could he ever hurt his little brothers?" You felt tears in your eyes at this point.
"AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY HIM? He's only acting on his sin! Just like the rest of you! Why must he be singled out and mocked at? I won't allow it. Never again."
"If you hurt Mammon again, I swear you will have to face me. And before you think you have a chance against me, do remember the pacts you all happily made with me I will not hesitate to use them against you dysfunctional lot-"
"MC... Stop." You felt Mammon hug you from behind.
"Mammon? I thought you were asleep." You say looking back at him. His tears were misty but his smile more full.
"And I thought I was supposed to protect ya, human! And you're out here protecting me..." Mammon trailed off and held you closer.
"We can protect each other."

got a request for a monster!Uvo as well as a request for an Uvo fic where he chases the reader. hope it’s cool that I combined the two of them
@ramwrites and I are in agreement that werewolf is the best type of monster for Uvogin
werewolf!Uvogin
Tumblr media
Warnings: death, blood, gore, body horror, little bit of smut, graphic depictions of violence, mentions of cannibalism, attempted suicide, implied kidnapping, reader does not have a good time
Thin rays of sun that were able to slip past the branches of the trees hit Uvo's back as he went about his work, placing another upright log on the now considerably worn down tree stump and bringing his axe down upon it, slicing the wood in two and tossing the pieces into the pile to his right before he grabbed another unchopped piece from the pile to the left. Based off of the sun's position in the sky, it was only a bit after midday. Uvogin had been going at this for a while now, his sweat staining the white tank he wore.
Though the sweating wasn't because the work was in any way debilitating. Any other day of the month Uvogin would've been able to chop the same amount and not even break a sweat.
No, today was different because of what was happening tonight: a full moon.
Even though the night was still a long ways off, Uvo could already feel the very beginnings of his transformation shuddering through him. Faint, but still noticable. Unfortunately, with the ever present fact that nightfall wouldn't come for hours yet, there was little he could to other than to keep himself busy and distract himself lest the anticipation kill him. So he continued to chopping the logs, even though the amount he had cut already was bordering on excessive.
In the midst of his distraction, his ears perked up when he heard the faint rumblings of a car engine. His senses of smell and hearing were always pretty good even when it wasn't close to a full moon, but those senses were ten times as sharp now, and he could clearly hear as the car came in closer and closer.
Whoever they were, they wouldn't be the first people to have approached him today. Already he'd been asked two different times for directions to the nearby campgrounds, the first time by an elderly couple who were likely well into retirement, and the second by a group of individuals who had also gotten lost. The woman from that group who went up to him told him more information than he'd needed to know, informing him of how theirs was a company sanctioned team-building retreat. She had a piece of gum in her mouth and smacked it loudly as she talked, and because of his sensitive hearing, the sound of it became distressing to the point that Uvo had to keep himself from clawing his ears off.
Everyone in that group deserved to die because of that woman alone.
Uvogin didn't stop what he was doing even when he heard the car drive past and then suddenly brake, just continuing as he was while he heard the sounds of a car door opening and someone stepping out. Words were being spoken; what was being said exactly he couldn't say, but based off of previous experience it was easy enough to guess.
The car door slammed shut and the engine rumbled again as the car began to drive further down the dirt road. It'd be back in a little bit – over that way was a dead end. But Uvogin quickly switched his focus to the footsteps he heard walking through the unmarked pathway and headed towards him.
“Excuse me?”
He heard your voice call out to him, and Uvo finally turned to face you. Upon making eye contact with him, you smiled and held up a map as you called out again “sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could help out with some directions? We're looking for the Visca lake campgrounds, but I think we've been going around in circles.”
You didn't come any closer when you said that, though it seemed to be more out of a desire to not intrude on his space as opposed to being nervous about the axe he was holding. There was a hopeful look in your eye, though you also seemed ready to apologize for bugging him if he instead told you to fuck off.
Already he knew he liked you much better than the bitch from earlier.
“Sure,” he replied.
Uvo set the axe down and walked towards you, his hand outstretched so you could hand him your map. You smiled and handed him the map without any hesitation, coming up beside him as he unfolded it and scanned the paper so he could give you an idea of what direction you needed to go. The height difference between the two of you meant that he needed to lean down a bit as he pointed out to you the appropriate road that would get you to your destination.
“The road to the campgrounds is here,” he told you.
Despite the way he had tried to accommodate the height difference, you still needed to stand on your toes to see where he was pointing. Your arm came up briefly before you swiftly pulled it back. Like you'd been tempted to place your hand on his forearm to better balance yourself but stopped yourself since the two of you were complete strangers. Though Uvo wouldn't have minded too much if you had done so. Taking advantage of the way you were right next to him, he inhaled, memorizing your scent for later.
Uvo then moved his finger towards the left as he continued “we're around this area, so you'll want to drive back the way you came and take the first right you see. Then you'll want to take another right to get onto the campground road. As long as you don't fuck up turning, you should get to the lake in about ten minutes. Maybe less.”
“Ah, okay!” you responded, taking back your map as you looked over the route he'd pointed out to you. As you were desperate to make sure you got his directions right so you wouldn't need to be in the embarrassing situation of messing up his instructions and needing to go back to him for further clarification, you didn't notice the way he was looking you over or how he inhaled more of your scent.
Your hair smelled of something flowery, some kind of hair product you must have used that morning before you drove out here. Your clothing also had a rather soapy smell, though it wasn't as noticeable as the product in your hair. Beneath all of that, he was able to take in your natural scent that was free of any products or chemicals, as well as... Perfume? An odd choice for a camping trip, he thought. Then another smell hit him, one that surrounded you but you were definitely not the source of.
Oh.
It was the unmistakable scent of another man.
The perfume made more sense now. You'd said 'we' earlier as well, so chances were you'd come here with a boyfriend for a romantic weekend getaway and his smell has just gotten all over you after spending several hours cooped up in a car with him.
Not terribly displeasing. A boyfriend being in the picture might make things a bit more interesting.
“Okay, I think I've got it,” you said, snapping him out of his thoughts, “sorry if I took up too much of your time.”
“No problem,” he answered, “I get a lotta people asking for directions, so I'm used to it.”
“Really? That sounds like it gets annoying. Why don't they put up signs or something?” you asked.
“They do,” Uvo said, “but they usually get taken down by vandals.”
More like self-righteous teenagers who'd found out the truth about him and couldn't stand the fact that the elders of the nearby town allowed Uvogin to do as he pleased and thought they could thwart his killing sprees by taking down the signs leading to the lake, like they could save any innocent vacationers if they weren't able to find the campgrounds. Those kids had yet to learn that if they managed to deprive Uvo of his prey, he'd be forced to go to their own town and hunt there, maybe snatch up one of them or their families. The older folk in charge of the town understood that, and they'd decided that it was better to let the occasional out of town stranger be his prey than risk him coming in and picking off whatever stragglers he could find in their community.
People vacationing in the wilderness died all the time, after all.
“Vandals?” you asked. There was the slightest bit of concern in your voice, and when your eyes went slightly wide as you looked at him, he couldn't help but muse at how cute you looked like that.
“Just dumb kids,” he explained, “there's a small town a little ways back and I reckon they don't have much to do around there.”
“Ah, I see. Do you think we'll need to worry about them bothering us?”
“Nah, they wouldn't do anything,” Uvo said, “besides, they know that I'm out here today, and they know better than to bug me.”
You laughed a bit at that, any deeper meaning to his words going over your head.
“I can't blame them. If I was one of them I'd be too scared to do anything to get on your bad side.”
Uvogin just smiled.
A voice then called at the top of the path, and you both looked to see a dark-haired man around your age standing there. He called out what Uvo assumed was your name, and you waved to him, calling out a short “coming!” before you turned back to Uvogin.
“Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate it,” you told him.
“Once again, not a problem. Hope you two have a good time.”
You smiled and nodded at him, and then began to walk back over to your boyfriend. But before you had the chance to bid him goodbye, Uvogin spoke again.
“You wanna know something that's not in any visitor's guides?” he asked.
“Huh?”
He grinned at your slightly confused expression as he explained “if you go down to the southern side of the lake, there are these really beautiful cliffs in the forest. A lot of clearings that show a pretty good view of the sky, too. And it's a full moon tonight; if you want to make some memories, you should check it out when it gets dark.”
Clearly intrigued, you turned back to face him, asking “really? Why isn't that part advertised?”
“The locals want to keep parts of the lake to themselves,” he said, “but I think it's something that you might appreciate.”
“You sure you won't get in trouble for telling me?”
“Not if you don't say anything,” said Uvo, raising an eyebrow as he smirked.
“Ah, gotcha,” you said. Behind you, your boyfriend was starting to look a bit suspicious, and his lips soon formed a frown. You weren't paying him any mind at the moment.
“What's your name?” you asked.
“Uvogin.”
You held out your hand as you introduced yourself, and he humored you by giving you a handshake.
“Thank you so much for everything,” you said, “maybe we'll see you again while we're here.”
“Maybe.”
With that, you finally turned and made your way to your awaiting boyfriend, who gave Uvo one last narrowed glance before he turned his attention to you as you eagerly pulled your map back out and began to tell him the directions that had been given to you. Your boyfriend only gave one more glance towards Uvogin before focusing his full attention on you, looking over the map with you before the two of you made your way back to the car. He seemed rather boring, Uvo thought to himself. Yet before you made it back in, you stepped up and kissed your boyfriend on the cheek. Uvo saw the way your boyfriend stiffened and the blush that reached his ears as he sat down in the driver's seat to escape your random but sweet action. You laughed as you entered through the passenger's side, and Uvo kept an eye on the two of you until he saw your small, light blue car pull away and drive down the road.
When the two of you were gone, Uvo went back to chopping wood, picking the axe back up and slicing the log into two even pieces. He didn't expect that anyone else would come blundering into the forest before evening, but if they did, he wouldn't pay them much mind. If he killed every single person who came in to enjoy the lake he would quickly lose that particular food source and then need to find another area to hunt.
No, the only ones that were on the table tonight were the company group and you and your boyfriend – he wouldn't bother hunting down that elderly couple as it wouldn't be interesting in the slightest to go after them. The larger group had a good number of people in it, so there would be no need to seek out anyone else. Honestly he shouldn't even bother with the two of you, but Uvo thought of you again, thinking over every action you had taken, from the way you had approached him to how you held out your hand when you introduced yourself.
The little bit of affection you had offered to your boyfriend also came to mind but he brushed that thought away. It was unimportant, he told himself.
No, he shouldn't bother with the two of you, but he wanted to see how your naive little expression might change when you saw him next, after the moonlight had transformed him, and hear how you might scream and cry as he hunted you down.
He grinned at the thought, and when his axe came down again, it sliced the log and the stump beneath it clean through.
The true beginnings of his change had started hours ago when the sun sank past the horizon and the moon slowly rose in the night sky. Just little things, like the way his teeth began to shift in his mouth, or how the black tips of his claws were starting to show beneath his fingernails, slowly pushing up beneath the nails and trying to force themselves out so he could have an easier time tearing apart whatever unfortunate victim happened to be closest to him.
His skin was starting to shift a bit in places as well as it began to detach from the muscle beneath, and he was hit with an overwhelming urge to run outside and allow his transformation to complete so he could go wild as he always did on a full moon night.
But he waited, forcing himself to focus on the fire that was burning before him, to wait until it had gone out completely before he stepped foot out of his cabin.
It had turned into something of a ritual for him; when he had started it he could no longer remember. It was purely ceremonial, and at the heart of it he knew that it did nothing to add to his hunt, but after being alone in the woods for so long he supposed he was entitled to a bit of superstition. And at this point, it would have felt wrong to do it any other way. When the fire went out, the moon would be at the highest point in the sky, and when he left the dark cabin and bared himself to the moonlight, his werewolf form would tear through and he would track down the victims he had met earlier in the day, the ones whose scents he had remembered after he'd chosen them for his prey. Didn't matter much in what order he got them, just whatever scent he came across first.
Although maybe tonight it mattered a little bit. If he could manage it, Uvogin wanted you to be the last one to die tonight. After the group from the company retreat and your bland looking boyfriend, he'd hoped he could then have you for last. Something about that made him feel like that would be the only appropriate ending to the night.
But that all depended if he could manage to remember that after he'd transformed.
The light of the fire was growing more dim, and he was having a harder time sitting still, his entire body itching to burst through the cabin door and let the moonlight take him.
Not yet, he told himself.
But soon.
Those black claws were showing a bit more now, and at least two of his fingernails had popped off, blood coating his fingertips as his hands clenched onto the skin of his legs. That same skin shifted once more as he did so, and after a few moments he felt something trickling down his thigh, and when he glanced down he could see in the faint glimmer of firelight the hole in his skin that he'd torn open, and the dark fur beneath the human flesh that was still covered and the blood dripping down his leg.
Not yet not yet not yet
A few more agonizing minutes later that had seemed endless in his mind, and finally the fire he'd begun earlier was reduced to a smoulder, the flames dying out and the wood glowing red as the fire reached the end of its life.
Now
No sooner had he thought that Uvogin had thrown open the cabin door and ran out into the woods that surrounded him, bare as he gazed up at the full moon as he allowed himself the moment that he'd been holding off on.
There were multiple changes simultaneously and Uvogin was barely able to comprehend all of what was happening to him because of it. There was always a pain that accompanied his transformation, and while it was a pain that he was used to at this point, it was pain nonetheless.
At the sight of the moon his green eyes turned yellow and his pupils narrowed into slits, while the bones in his body began to shift and grow. It started with his spine, extending and pushing out through his skin and almost causing a ripple effect through his whole body. His bones were snapping and stretching beneath his skin, growing as his muscles were expanding and making him into even more of a giant than he already was. Claws on his hands and feet tore through the flesh that surrounded them as those parts of him extended, the skin ripping open and allowing more of the fur that was hidden underneath to show through.
When he felt the flesh around his shoulders stretch out in an attempt to accommodate the transformation he sped up the process by reaching up and tearing it away with his own fingers, the black claws easily ripping in and pulling the skin away like a latex glove. Soon the skin that had been on his arms sat around him in pieces on the grass and he began the same process with his chest and legs, tearing away his flesh in messy strips and allowing the fur that had formed on his body to be exposed, matted with blood and looking almost black in the light of the moon.
His skull went through the same process as the rest of his body, and he felt his face crack into several different pieces before the bones began to remold themselves and pushed outward, taking the shape of a wolf's muzzle while his teeth extended and shifted to fit properly in his newly formed mouth. When his ears began twisting and pushing upwards into sharp points was when he tore at the skin on his face, pulling it off as he had done with the rest and throwing it to the forest floor.
When the last of his human flesh had been removed, his transformation was complete. The man who had stepped out of that cabin was gone and replaced with a large, bipedal wolf whose yellow eyes dilated as he looked up once more to the moon. Lifting his head up, he arched his back as he let out a howl loud enough that echoed through the woods and across the surface of the lake. Those that heard it in the nearby town quietly whispered their prayers to whichever gods they worshiped while those who were visiting the lake's campsite merely marveled at the sound.
If Uvo was in a different mindset he might have thought of you in that moment, and what you might be thinking when you heard him. If you had any clue of the danger you were in.
But in this moment, there was no thought of you or even saving you for last as he had tried to so hard to ingrain into himself. There was no thought of doing this in any order or trying to end the night correctly as he had mused about earlier.
The only thing going through Uvogin's mind was the need to kill.
As luck would have it, he'd managed to kill the ones from that company first.
There had been more of them. More that were wandering around their campsite, more that were talking amongst themselves, and in general just making more noise that, combined with their scents from earlier, allowed him to find them first.
There were actually more of them in that group than he'd anticipated, and as he killed off the last woman in the group, gum falling from her mouth as he twisted her head completely around. Uvo then looked around at the carnage he'd left in his wake. It was hard to tell with the way they were all in pieces now, but the number of people group had easily been in the double digits. That would probably cause a bit of trouble, as it would be hard to try and cover this up. This would easily make the news. Annoying, as Uvo would need to make sure to lay low for a bit, and it could possibly lower the amount of potential victims in the area when the next full moon came.
But it had still been worth it.
Uvogin felt more like himself again now that the murderous urges had been sated. Able to think a bit more clearly, more rationally. And he was able to remember you and what he'd hoped for early on. He could imagine it: your scared expression as you watched him kill your boyfriend before he slaughtered you like the rest, your screams cutting short as he bit into the skin of your neck and tore out your throat.
Now that his hunger was taken care of, he left the campsite of the now-dead group. Right now all he wanted was to find you and your boyfriend.
Remembering what he had told you of the southern side of the lake, he took a gamble as he headed off in that direction, making his way through the woods at speeds much faster than a regular human would be capable of. He stopped when he felt the wind blowing again, and lifted his nose in the air, trying to see if he catch anything.
….. There
It was faint. Very faint, but he managed to catch a familiar human scent.
He turned and headed off in your direction. It was too far away to get your exact location, but it was enough that he could get at least an idea of where you were.
Continuing towards the south side of the lake, he stayed close to the shoreline until he found your little blue car from earlier parked close to the lake, a tent set up not too far off from it. Your scent became a bit more clear as he came closer, and yet when stopped to scan the area, his eyes looking for the slightest bit of movement and his ears straining to hear any bit of noise, he couldn't find you.
A bit annoying, but based off of the way the two of you had left things, you should still be in the area. It was just a matter of hunting you down.
Uvo stalked about the campsite, just in case he missed something while also puncturing two of the tires on your car and cutting off that potential escape route. Satisfied that neither of you were on the site or next to the water, he walked back into the woods, following after the little bits of that fragrance he'd latched onto.
As he walked, he thought to himself with some amusement that you'd actually taken up his suggestion. Uvogin had found that most people didn't bother, either because they were too dedicated to the plans they'd made before arriving or because they didn't trust that the landscape was as beautiful as he'd made it out to be. In fairness, it mostly all looked the same to him, but there had just been something about that particular bit of campground that made him enjoy hunting there more. So it was even more perfect that the two of you had ended up there. Most likely you were just doing what you felt like and didn't feel like adhering to any particular schedule.
His ears perked up as he heard a low voice in the distance. Not yours. Probably your boyfriend, then. Focusing himself so he could move silently, Uvogin weaved through the trees, his eyes searching for you while he listened for more noise from either of you.
When he heard your voice next, he had definitely gotten closer. Your voice had sounded odd, though. Almost breathless.
He found the two of you in a larger clearing that stood beneath one of the cliffs he had spoken of. You were laying with your back on the grass, dressed in a swimsuit with only a shirt over it. Your boyfriend was in a similar state with the moonlight falling onto his bare back, and it looked like both of you were a bit wet, some drops of water still on your skin and hair still damp. So the two of you had gone swimming before you wandered over to this area to mess around.
You said something to him before the two of you shared a kiss, and you moaned into it when he slipped his hand under your shirt to grab at your chest.
It certainly wasn't the first time Uvo had come across a pair of lovers in the woods. Such encounters usually ended with one or both betraying the other, as several times in the past one would push the other into Uvo's path in an attempt to save themselves after having a passionate make-out session only moments before.
Uvogin stepped out from the treeline and waited for one of you to notice him. You let out another moan, and to him it sounded like it was slightly exaggerated. Was your boyfriend not that good? Not too surprising, based off of Uvo's impression of him.
If Uvo had been the man on top of you, he was certain he could do much better.
….. Where did that come from?
Uvo didn't get much time to wonder about that as he heard you let out a sharp gasp, and when his eyes refocused on you, he saw that you were looking right at him. Your eyes were wide and your skin paled as you stiffened, your hands grasping at your boyfriend's arms.
“What's wrong?” your boyfriend asked when he noticed your reaction.
Keeping your eyes on Uvogin, you answered him in a small whisper “there's something over there.”
Your boyfriend turned his head to where you were looking, and he went stiff as well when he saw Uvogin's werewolf form.
It was quiet in that clearing, free of any noises from any woodland animals or even the insects, as anything that was in that immediate area sensed the danger and were desperate to keep silent. No, the only sound Uvo could hear was your breathing that became more panicked as you struggled to keep it under control and the way your boyfriend tried to shush you while he broke out into a cold sweat. You two were both under the impression to stay still and not make any sudden movements for fear of provoking him.
Then your boyfriend whispered your name.
“When I move,” he breathed out, “I want you to run back to the car and get out of here. Even if I'm not with you, you have to take the car and leave.”
As he spoke, your boyfriend slowly moved his hand over to a pack beside you that Uvo hadn't noticed at first. Still, Uvo grinned. He thought he could take him on?
You tried to protest but your boyfriend wasn't hearing it, only repeating his instructions to you and trying to make you promise that you would do as he said. You didn't want to; that was clear, but when you looked back over to Uvogin's form outside the treeline, you shuddered once more and agreed to leave with a short nod.
Uvogin waited for the boyfriend to make his move. He looked just as terrified as you were, but he was clearly trying to be brave for your sake, and his resolve seemed to steel when he got a hold of whatever he had been searching for in the pack.
“Now!”
Your boyfriend yelled as he shot up and charged at Uvo. For the first time since seeing him, Uvogin felt mildly impressed with your boyfriend; he'd been genuine about wanting to save you over himself. Not like he wouldn't still die for it as he was still incredibly weak, but there was something to be said about the willingness he had to face down a beast like Uvo for your sake.
You must be something special to make a man go that far for you.
The thing your boyfriend had pulled out turned out to be a can of bear spray as well as a medium-sized hunting knife. Uvo managed to doge the stream that had been aimed at him easily on account of how badly the hand that held it had been shaking. The boyfriend ran back a bit, unwilling to get too close to Uvogin even with the knife. He tried to aim it again, but Uvo used his claws to slice at him, slashing upwards as he aimed for his throat.
Somehow, he missed the boyfriend's throat and only managed to hit the side of his face, opening up his cheek and taking off his ear. The boyfriend cried out at that, one hand going up to his bleeding cheek while still trying to incapacitate Uvo with the bear spray. But with the way he stumbled about, it was almost too easy for Uvogin to grab him by his face and hurl him into the trunk of a nearby tree. He hit headfirst, and there was an audible cracking sound that came from the impact. Uvogin didn't even bother to watch the way his body hit the ground, experience telling him that he was definitely dead.
Uvogin was much more interested in you.
You were still in the clearing. At first you had done as your boyfriend had told you and bolted the second he yelled, running back to your campsite. But you stopped and turned back when you heard him cry out when Uvo had slashed at him. You wanted to help him but you also knew there was nothing you could do, and so you were left standing in the clearing, your whole body shaking as you struggled with the decision to stay or leave your boyfriend behind.
It was cute how loyal you were to him.
And loyalty certainly wasn't a bad quality.
When you saw your boyfriend die you froze, tears streaming down your face as you looked between the now dead man and the thing that had murdered him. You were clearly in a panic, your legs trembling as your brain struggled to figure out what to do, where to go from here. Certainly you had to be aware that you'd lost any chance of getting away like you'd been told to do, right?
Apparently not, as when Uvogin stepped forward you bolted, running back towards the camp. Yet Uvo found a sense of relief with that, that you wouldn't just sit there and let him kill you and end it so early.
For whatever reason, that last thought displeased him.
But he brushed that away as he chased after you only moments later, not bothering to be quiet with his movements and instead being as loud as possible, breaking apart any low-hanging branches in his wake as he howled into the night air once again.
You had only made it a little ways past the car when he emerged from the forest and lunged towards you. It seemed like you were trying to get away on foot given the damage to the car. Already there was a scent of blood in your wake, as the soles of your feet had already been cut up on the sharp debris of the forest floor.
You turned towards him just in time to see him raising his clawed hand over his head before he sliced it downwards. Through what must have been some bit of luck, you stumbled backwards at that moment and all he managed to do was give you a flesh wound.
You hit the surface of the gravel road hard, crying out in pain at the force of your fall as well as the cuts that were on your arm, your hand immediately grasping at your wound as you desperately tried to use your legs to get yourself off of the ground.
Then he was on top of you.
He opened his jaws wide; you saw as he did so, and attempted to crawl out from under him.
He snapped his jaws shut on your throat.
And you went stiff.
It was quiet for a few moments.
And then a small rush of air escaped from your mouth as you let out a breath you had been holding.
Almost.
He had almost killed you in that moment.
The pointed tips of his teeth were pressing lightly into your skin, not quite hard enough to make you bleed, but that would change if you shifted your neck just slightly.
Why had he stopped?
He stayed there, hunched over you, his arms caging you in while his maw was around your throat. He felt the pulse in your neck beating wildly, almost causing vibrations against his teeth. You had stopped struggling, your legs still while you continued to clutch at your wounded arm, the only noises coming from you now being your uneven breathing.
What was he doing?
His yellow eye glanced over to your face, and he found that you weren't even looking at him. You were gazing in the direction of the night sky, where the light of the moon shown down on you like a spotlight, but it didn't even seem like you were even looking at that. Your eyes were wide as you breathed hard, and Uvo had to wonder if you were currently seeing your life flash before your eyes. That perhaps your mind had accepted that this was the end of your life and was remembering as much as you could before Uvogin would sink in his teeth and sever those major arteries in your neck.
Were you satisfied with all that you had accomplished up to this point, or were you disappointed and felt that you should have done more?
Moments passed like that, his hulking form engulfing yours with no movement from either of you. He took in a deep breath, and he once again caught some of the flowery smell of your shampoo, though it had largely faded by now, and you smelled much more like the woods after the hours you had spent there. More like pine and tree leaves, and the fresh water of the lake, and....
Uvogin let out a short grunt that made you whimper and you clenched your eyes shut as you believed this to be the end. You had no clue that Uvo could smell your arousal coming from between your legs. It had come from the way you'd been fooling around with your boyfriend earlier – there was no way you could have been turned on by this.
Uvo thought again of what he had seen when he stumbled upon the two of you, and that odd thought that had interjected at one point. You had been on his mind almost all day, and he thought it was because he wanted to kill you. And now you were beneath him and the moment couldn't have been more right, and yet now that was the last thing he wanted to do.
It hit him then. The different urge he'd had about you since he had seen you earlier in the day, since he had seen the way you treated your boyfriend; the way you had kissed that man had stuck out in his mind. Hardly any different than any other couple he had seen who were too big on PDA, yet combined with the way you had first come up to him, had smiled and thanked him, and introduced yourself so willingly while also asking for his name had made all of the difference in the world.
His days in the woods were lonely. It was something Uvo was well aware of but had thought he could handle, and he had done so for several years now without issue. But now that he knew you, with your actions and your touch and even the sweet scent of your arousal that he wished more and more that he had been the cause of, another second of being alone sounded more like torture.
Still, the biggest reason he had stayed on his own for so long was that he had accepted that there would be few in this world who would be alright with spending the rest of their lives with a man-eating monster. And any that he may have wanted to keep alive despite that probably wouldn't have been worth the trouble. Keeping someone else with him would also mean he would need to put in the effort to keep them alive, and if he had them unwillingly he'd need to make sure they wouldn't be able to get away, either by restraining them or locking them up.
He watched you, watched the way your face stayed scrunched up as you waited for him to finish it. He wanted you, but were you worth the trouble?
When Uvogin pulled off of your neck and sat back up, you meekly opened your eyes in confusion and trying to anticipate what horrible thing he would do to you next. You yelped when he grabbed you by the back of your shirt as he stood, pulling you up to your feet and setting you in front of him. With one hand on your shoulder and one on your hip, he turned you so you were facing away from him, making sure you were steady on your feet.
He leaned down so his maw was right next to your ear, and in a voice that sounded more animal than human, he growled out a single word:
“Run.”
With that he pushed you forward. You stumbled a bit, your brain still processing what he had said as you barely took a few steps away from him. Then, like a lightning bolt had hit you, you finally seemed to understand as you snapped back and made a beeline for the woods. Your bare feet were loud on the cluttered forest floor, and he occasionally heard little gasps and soft whimpers of pain when you cut your foot open further on a rock or a sharp branch.
Uvo waited, wanting to give you a good head start before he began to chase after you. It would be easy to track you, especially with how much you were bleeding now, but he shuddered with barely contained excitement, eager to chase you down but knowing that he needed to give you a decent head start or else it would be over too quickly.
If you proved yourself worthy of keeping alive, then he'd take you back to his cabin.
And he really hoped you wouldn't let him down.
…. But then something felt wrong.
Uvogin's eyes narrowed as he sensed that you were still within the immediate area and not moving away from him as he had expected. The direction you had gone in was the same one the both of you had come from; the patch of woods and the clearing where he'd found you in the pathway. There wasn't anything there that you could have fallen over or gotten stuck on, so why....
A new thought occurred to him, and Uvo growled lowly to himself as he hoped he wouldn't see what he felt he might when he found you next.
You were back in that clearing, sitting next to your boyfriend's fallen body. Your body was facing the direction Uvo had arrived from, both of your hands in front of you as looked down at your now former lover. There were tears rolling down your cheeks as you sat there.
A wave of disgust hit Uvogin as he found he was correct and was thoroughly disappointed with your actions. He'd given you a chance to get away and you'd wasted it by sitting around crying. Clearly he had given you too much credit.
You heard him as he began to walk towards you, and he noted the way your hands slipped beneath your boyfriend's slightly upturned body, your head still downcast.
He stood across from you, letting out a huff that made you flinch. But still, you didn't move from that spot.
As he opened his jaws your head shot up and you lifted your hands from beneath the body.
Just as you did so, something sprayed into his nose, eyes and his open mouth. Something that stung and made him gag. Fuck it burned, and Uvogin let out a howl of pain as he clutched at his face.
The bear spray-!
Something sharp then dug into the flesh beneath his collarbone, and the pain from the bitter spray was accompanied by the sensation of a knife blade stabbing into him.
With another howl as he was now blinded, he swiped a hand in your general direction and heard you yelp as he simultaneously clawed your shoulder and forced you to the ground. With his hearing now being his greatest sense, he managed to pick up the clatter the bear spray can made as the force of his blow made you drop it, and he moved one of his feet to stomp at it, crushing it and making it useless.
Uvo roared again as he swung about wildly, trying to catch you once more, but you managed to avoid his attacks and made your way into the woods again as he heard your labored breathing and footsteps growing fainter and fainter.
He clutched at his face as he tried to make himself calm down, trying to will away the pain and regain his sense of sight and smell.
…. Not bad.
Even with the rage he had felt in the moment, he found himself relieved, almost happy that you had caught him off-guard. You had gone as far as to use your boyfriend's body as a prop, to make him think that you were too broken up about his death so he would lower his guard. Had you been a bit taller, you could have done a decent amount of damage if you'd managed to stab the knife into his throat.
The knife was still in him, he realized, and after regaining a little bit of his sight in his left eye, he easily pulled it out and threw it across the way.
Now you had no weapons, but he was also at a disadvantage as his eyes were still watering and he could no longer smell you as clearly, the harsh chemicals of the spray making him internally wince every time he breathed through his nose. If he wanted to catch you, he would need to rely almost entirely on his hearing to search for you.
The sounds you were making were quite distant now, but he grinned to himself and stayed there a while longer, letting you get further away.
The direction you were going had no civilization, there was only forest for miles, and he was happy to let you get yourself more and more lost if it meant that his hunt would continue.
By the time dawn was nearing, signaled by the sickly pale color the sky had turned to, Uvogin had managed to chase you further into the wilderness, up through the trees and near the edge of a cliff face. Throughout the night there had been times where you had slowed or stopped completely as you tried to regain your strength, taking advantage of your smaller size and slipping into places that he couldn't easily get to. You also had several brief spurts of energy where you had sped up suddenly, more determined than ever to get away from him while you threw various stones and branches back towards him, though you never tried anything else as bold as you had with your trick from earlier as you didn't allow him to get that close again.
But as you stumbled to the edge of the cliff and looked at the steep drop before you, it was clear to him that your fight was gone. He knew it even before you fell to your knees on the sharp rock. The chase had ended, and just in time, as daylight would be here soon, and when that came he would revert back to his human form.
It had been one of the most memorable hunts he'd had in years, and even though your will had been broken in the process, by now he was certain that he wanted to keep you. To have a little partner in his solitary life, someone to keep his bed warm and wait for him to return home in the evenings. The scenario was nice to think about, and he especially liked the idea of you cuddling up to him during the colder months of the year, trying to keep yourself warm with his body heat to fight the chilly air that would sneak inside. Maybe eventually he'd get you to give him sweet tokens of affection like you'd given to your boyfriend, perhaps a kiss on the cheek before he went out to hunt.
And maybe every once in a while, if you were still insistent on putting up a fight, Uvo might let you out during a full moon and make you think you had a chance to escape, just so he could hunt you down and drag you back to his little home in the woods.
The thought of it gave him chills, and he wondered how long he would need to wait before he could let you out.
You were lightly swaying in place as you looked to the ground below while Uvo was consumed in the thoughts he had about you. He assumed that you were just waiting for him to finish it – your willpower was dried up, and there was no way you would try to run around him or do anything as stupid as try to climb down the cliff face.
He had no clue where your thoughts had taken you in that moment.
Realization shot through him when he saw your shoulders sag and your body began to fall forward over the edge.
Uvo rushed forward and grabbed you by your shoulder before you fell off and he threw you back, a good distance further and far rougher than he had been intending, as you wailed weakly when you hit the ground.
If you were willing to kill yourself to escape him, he'd need to wait some time before letting you run about the woods again.
By now, you were covered in dirt and blood and whatever else had stuck to you from the forest while you had run from him. Your skin was covered in cuts that he and the forest had given you and it would likely be some time before you would be able to properly walk again based off of the state of your feet. When he approached you once more, you clenched your eyes shut again. By now you were past the point of tears and just waited for him to finish you off.
You jolted at the feeling of his fur brushing against your skin when straddled you once more, but just as before, the killing blow you were expecting never came. You opened one eye, and just as you did so, the first rays of the sun shone over the landscape beyond and hit Uvogin.
You watched in silent horror as the fur that covered him caught on fire and began to burn. He was briefly consumed by the flames before they vanished into puffs of smoke. His bones were snapping again, breaking into pieces and retracting back into their normal size while his muscles and skin rippled and shrunk back down, tightening around his fingers as the claws also retracted and vanished beneath the skin. As his wolf face broke apart and reformed, there was a look of shock in your eyes as you saw the beast on top of you become more and more human. And that shock soon turned into a realization when you found that you recognized the man who was on top of you.
His transformation back to his human form was over in a matter of seconds, and when it was over and his green eyes looked back down at you, you stuttered as you tried to find your voice.
“U-Uvogin?” you asked weakly.
He grinned, pleased that you had remembered his name.
Without another word, Uvo leaned down over you so he could begin the process of properly claiming you as his.

Sounds of horns and shouting filled the air outside as you stood on the packed bus. Cramped in from every side, it was hard for you to tell where you were going. Not as if you were paying much attention anyways.
“Okay, you left fish and pasta in the fridge… he could use the tv or read a book for entertainment while you are gone…what about…” You ramble incoherently to yourself.
Even though the storm hit Athens hard yesterday, your studio art professor was still having classes today. Forcing you to leave Triton alone at home. You shouldn’t be nervous. There was no reason to. After all, Triton is a god, he was hundreds of years old.
But…, he was still a child. No matter how old or what type of being he is. He could still possibly injure himself or get into trouble. And that single fact alone made you feel sick to your stomach.
“Is this how parents feel leaving their child alone for the first time…?” You groan to yourself, leaning your head forward so it hits the window in front of you.
“Now Approaching *Athens International School of Art*. I repeat, Now—“ The robotic voice announces over the intercom. At the familiar name of your college, you squeeze your way through the other patrons on the bus to make your way to the doors.
Sweet, sweet air, you think to yourself as soon as you exit the bus. It was starting to get way too cramped in there. So much so, you wondered if it was a safety hazard. Though it wasn’t as if you were one to talk, you left a little boy alone—
“Argh!” You scream out, slapping the cheeks of your face. You needed to stop thinking of Triton. He was going to be completely fine. But, what if…
“I’m getting too attached already…” You groan to yourself. It had only been a day. One singular Day. But you were already smitten by the blonde haired child. “It doesn’t help that he's absolutely adorable as well…”
“Who’s adorable?” A voice calls out from behind you, making you jump in surprise. Whipping around, you let out a sigh once you identify who it was.
“Bryce… how many times have I told you not to sneak up on me like that…”
Bryce Kroger. He was studying abroad at Athens International School of Art for a year just like you except he was instead an architecture major. You met him by coincidence while taking art history so you didn’t know much about the guy, the only thing being the few stories he told you about his home country of Australia.
“Oi! It’s not my fault you're so skittish!” Bryce banters back with a huff.
“Whatever…”
“Eh? Wait, where you heading?” Bryce questions as he watches you walk away, “I thought you had Studio Art on Fridays?”
“I do. I’m heading to the library first though.” You yell back to the tall male who stayed put where he was standing. Not even bothering to follow you.
“You need to stop studying so much!”
“Shut up!”
“IT’S THE TRUTH!”
“SHUT UP!” You scream back with one final huff before storming off. So what if you studied so much. You just wanted to get good grades in the classes that counted. It’s how you got here in the first place. By working your ass off.
Unconsciously, you feel your hand twitch as you open the library door. So what if you spent hours studying. So what if you didn’t go out with friends that often. So what if you didn’t have a social life. So what—
You feel yourself pause, your expression turning sour. Lonely. That’s what you were. You were lonely. A miserable lonely girl.
“Miss!”
Startled out of your thoughts by the sudden call, you realize you were no longer standing at the front door but instead standing in front of one of the librarians. You must have unconsciously walked up to the front desk while you were lost in thought.
“A-Ah. Sorry, I was just looking for books on Leonar—“
You feel your voice trail off at the end as a book on the counter catches your eye. It wasn’t the gold detailing nor the leather texture. No. It was the simple words of “Greek Mythology: Tales of Zeus” printed neatly on the front.
“…Actually, Do you perhaps have any books about Poseidon?”
You just found something better to do with your time.
—.—.—.—.—
“Damn… this is extremely confusing…” You mumble to yourself as you glare at the pages of notes in front of you. Each book seemed to be a little bit different from the last. “Perhaps I should recap…”
Okay, so what makes sense to you is that Poseidon is the second eldest of three brothers and is the ruler of the seas. The things that don’t make sense are… practically everything else…
You weren’t sure if you wanted to cry or scream out of frustration right now.
According to the books, Poseidon has had many consorts over the years. One of them being Triton’s mother, Amphitrite…
“My mother… can be quite mean to other women. Even to some of the female servants around the palace. She believes that they are trying to seduce my father…”
…but that doesn’t match up with what Triton mentioned last night. According to him, it sounds like Amphitrite scared away any women that would even come near Poseidon. This also leads to another flaw in the mythology books. You doubted that Poseidon would be able to have an affair with any other women with Amphitrite antics, nevertheless have 10 other children with them.
“Triton also never mentioned having any other siblings…”
Letting out a groan, which you seemed to be doing a lot today, you banged your head against the table. It seems like these mythology books weren’t going to be of any help after all. Though…. you couldn’t help but wonder why the books were so off in the first place.
Lifting yourself back up from the table, you glare down at one of the book covers. It was blue, almost silvery in a way, with a giant black silhouette of Poseidon right smack dab in the middle. Or, at least, what Poseidon might look like…
“Well, my father is extremely strong and handsome. All the sea nymphs stare at him with big heart eyes half the time. Oh! B-but, father doesn’t pay any attention to them. Father is not a cheater like uncle Zeus…”
“…Is Father…? Oh. He’s alright… He’s nowhere as bad as my mother. He’s never hit me or anything. He’s just… cold. Extremely cold. He really just ignores me half the time…”
“…I do love my father…I just wished he would at least spare me a glance…you know?…Acknowledge his own son…”
“God damn jerk!” You hiss out in anger as you push the book aside. Your blood practically boiling at even the slightest thought of Triton’s father, Poseidon. He doesn’t deserve to have such a good and nice son like Triton.
However, as much as you want to curse out Poseidon more, you realized class would be starting soon and you really had to get a move on.
“Shit. I can’t afford to be late again.”
—.—.—
“Ugh. Why did the professor have to assign me this type of painter…?!” You whined to Yuri. Class had already ended by then with the professor long gone. The only people left were students that were conversing with others or trying to get a head start on their paintings.
“Well, it didn’t help that you barged into class late for the second time this week, (y/n).” Yuri explained with a sigh as she continued to set up her palette, not even sparing you a glance.
Yuri Saito, Or rather Saito Yuri, was an abroad student from Japan. She was the closest person you knew at the college as you both were similar in many ways. Especially since you were both homebodies.
“I get that but at least I showed up in the fir—“
“(Y/n)!” A voice shouts out interrupting your talk with Yuri. You turn around to see Bella Woods, a student apart of your major, approaching you. “(Y/n). You were part of your student council back in high school right?”
“Uh, Yeah. Why?” You answered hesitantly. You weren’t sure why, perhaps instincts, but you were already having a bad feeling about this situation.
“Well I need your help on something…” Bella explains, her voice trailing off at the end as she grabs something from her bag. It’s a piece of paper, a flier to be exact.
“A…A Cultural Festival?”
Bella nods her head at your words, “Yeah. The college wanted to put something on for the public to show what our art school is all about and Mrs. Yamamoto suggested this. A-Apparently, it’s something schools and colleges do back in Japan.”
“B-But how can I help? Wouldn’t it make sense for someone like Yuri to do this? Since she’s from Japan and all.”
It was the truth. You didn’t know a single thing about japanese culture festivals.
“Hey don’t drag me into this, I’m busy.” Yuri counterbacks with a glare before returning back to her painting.
“Well… you see… The school wanted to change Mrs. Yamamoto’s idea a bit since they really didn’t know anything about Japanese Cultural festivals either. So it’s like a Cultural festival, kind of not.” Bella rambled. You could tell all this information was scrambling her brain as well. “Basically, it’s like a Greek version of a Cultural festival where each major picks a Greek god and plans an event or booth around it.”
“…Okay… So it’s just like a school festival in a way?” You questioned cautiously. This was a lot for you to take in at once.
“Yes. Precisely. We are just taking inspiration from Cultural festivals.”
“Okay. Okay…” You answer as you rub the back of your neck, “I still don’t understand why you need me though?”
“Well, I kind of… kind of saw you reading the mythology books in the library today and we need more people on the planning committee…” Oh, god. It seems like everything is coming back to bite you in the ass, “…Just. Please (y/n), We need your help!”
You let out a small sigh as you watch Bella give you a pleading look, “Fine…”
“Yay—!“
“But…“ You start cutting off Bella’s cheers, “But I’m taking care of something really important right now at home so I can’t always make meetings and things like that. I can help with planning but that’s it. Okay?”
That was correct. As much as you wanted to help Bella and your department out with this festival, Triton was your top priority right now. His care and needs were above all else right now, even your own. So if this would get in the way of that then you would drop this project instantly. Instantly.
“Of course! Oh, thank you (y/n)!” Bella cheers, her body visibly relaxing now that a stress has been taken off your shoulder, “Well, I’m not sure if you're busy right now but… the committee is currently planning two classrooms down… so if you could…”
“I’ll go…” You sighed out. Damn, what’s with you lately. Less than two days ago, people hardly approached you. Now you are as busy as a bee. A person magnetic… Well, more like god magnetic as wel—
Wait, a minute. You feel yourself tense up as a thought flies into your brain. If Gods could travel and spend time on earth, could they live here as well? Just like how Triton wants to?
Shit. What if some that live here are able to identify Triton? You could be in big troub—
“(Y/n)? Are you coming?” Bella calls, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Y-yes.”
It seemed you would have to worry about that later. Not that it mattered right now, you could always just ask Triton when you got home. And even if he didn’t know the answer you would just have to be careful bringing him out of the house. Yeah… you would just do that.
“Guys, I would like to introduce you to (y/n). She’s a fine arts major just like us and knows about mythology. I think she would make a great addition to our group.” Bella introduces you as you enter the room. As you looked around the group of only 4 other people, you realized you really didn’t know anyone.
That is until everyone started to introduce themselves. You never heard of the first three—Brian, James and Kyle—but you found the last name, Marissa Samudra, quite familiar. You wonder if she was that Marissa.
Who you were talking about was Marissa, the hottest girl in school Marissa. Well, at least that’s what all the boys in your major told you. The girl in front of you at least seemed to fit the part. With white silk like skin, light green eyes and dyed coral pink hair, she truly was a sight to see.
“Okay. So shall we get started.” James suddenly spoke up, seeming to want to get the meeting started. You nodded your head in agreement before taking a seat next to Holly. As well as across from Marissa. “Well, I think we should first decide which god we should do. Culinary, Music, Visual performing arts and architecture already have chosen Aphrodite, Hades, Ares and Zeus. (Y/n)…”
You lift your head up at the call of your name.
“…as you know the most about Mythology, who do you think we should pick?”
“Well,…” You feel yourself pause, your palms growing sweaty out of nervousness. You really didn’t know that much about Greek Gods, only the class you took last year and the books you skimmed this morning. You also didn’t expect so many of the main gods to be taken already.
“…How about…”
You needed to think of someone fast. Someone that would satisfy all parties here. Someone that would bedazzle people coming to the festival.
“…Poseidon…?”
Why… Why was that what your brain had come up with? Poseidon? The very god that you were cursing out this morning. Wishing near death upon.
“Fish man?” Brian questioned, letting out a small chuckle at his own joke, “You really want to go with Fish man as our god? Isn’t there anyone better?”
“I think Poseidon is pretty…cool.” You feel a shiver go up your spine as you compliment the man. It was official, you might actually puke. “…He’s the king of the seas. It gives us a lot to work with for his character. Especially since most Fine Arts students are good at realistic elements, we could really do well on painting or using sea life.”
“True… but—“
“I think it’s a wonderful idea.”
You are shocked as you hear Marissa cut Brian off. When you first sat down, she seemed totally uninterested in the topic at hand. Caring more about her hair and nails than anything else. But now, now, she was paying attention to every little thing. You couldn’t help but wonder why. “Oh sorry. I really like the sea. It holds a special place in my heart… you know?”
Oh, that makes sense. You totally forgot Marissa’s paintings were mostly about the ocean and sea. Never drifting off to other topics.
“N-no. That’s actually pretty cool. You know what, we should totally do Posedin… or whatever the dude’s name is. He sounds really cool.” Bryan agrees as he bashfully rubs the back of his neck. Gross, could he make it any less obvious that he was smitten by her. And not in a nice way either.
You feel yourself shiver as you watch him sneak small glances down at Marissa’s chest area. Disgusting pervert…
“Well, with that decided let’s move on…”
…Great… You could already tell this was going to be a long meeting…
—.—.—.—.—
Again, for what felt like the hundredth time today, you banged your head against the wall. This time however it was against the door of your apartment.
“Seriously… a Café…?”
Yes, a Café. That’s the brilliant idea your group came up with. An under the sea type themed café.
In hindsight it didn’t sound all that bad. You could have a couple of students paint some props and decorations. Then another couple of students who know how to cook plan out the menu. Maybe even borrow some culinary students if you were lucky.
But,… there’s that.
Outnumbered three to two, the boys of your group insisted the girls that are serving customers should wear togas. Togas. They stated it was to bring in more customers but it was pretty obvious they had other intentions behind it. Especially since they didn’t even bother waiting a couple of minutes afterwards to ask if Marissa wanted to be part of the waiting staff.
“Poor girl… I feel bad for her.” You mumble to yourself as you pull out your keys, finally unlocking the door to your apartment. You wished you could just beat all those men senseless with a baseball bat. “That’s actually not a bad idea… Could I bring a wooden club and say that it's part of the character? They seem to not know that much about—“
“Miss (y/n)!” You hear shouted as something comes barreling into you. Knocking you onto the ground right as you enter your apartment. “O-oops I meant to only say (y/n)…”
Even though you got the air literally knocked out of you, you still let out a small chuckle as you reached up to run a hand through the perpetrator’s locks. Triton’s blonde locks. “It’s okay. I only told you this morning to stop referring to me so formally. It will take time for you to get used to it.”
Suddenly, you wince at a feeling of pain as you move slightly. Triton sure was strong. You, honestly, wondered if he held back some strength when he jumped at you. If so, you wondered how strong Triton was nonetheless an adult god.
Speaking of an adult god…
“Hey Triton.” The boy lifts his head up at your call, “Do any gods live on earth?”
The boy seemed to take a moment to think, “Well kind of? Not really Greek Gods though. Most of them are too proud to live with humans.”
“Oh well that’s goo— Wait, a minute! Other gods are real as well!?”
Triton nods his head furiously, “Yeah pretty much all gods. As long as it is considered as one, it exists. There’s Nordic gods…, Indian gods…, Oh! Even Buddha. I like Buddha, even though I’ve only met him once. He introduced me to salt water taffy! It’s delicious.”
“I-I see…I’ll try to get you some then. Another time.” As much as you wanted to hide your surprise you couldn’t. Learning that Greek Gods actually existed was one situation but learning that All Gods existed was a whole nother ball game. Did that mean demons existed as well?
“Hey (y/n). Could I ask you a question?” Triton asks, suddenly seeming bashful all of a sudden.
“Sure. What’s up?”
“Could I…” Triton pauses for a moment, “Could I call you…”
You leaned closer to Triton as his voice slowly got softer and softer at the end. His ears and cheeks were bright red as he waited for you to answer. However, you couldn’t answer him as you didn’t hear the last part of what he said.
“I apologize. Could you repeat what you said, Triton? I couldn’t hear the end of it.” You felt bad for asking him to repeat it as his face only seemed to get even more red when you asked.
“I-I… Could I call you… Mom?”
It was silent as his question, or rather request, fell upon your ears. You thought about it for a moment. Especially whether it was morally right for you to have him call you ‘mom’. Even if his true mother was a terrible person, she was still his mother.
Though, then again, She really didn’t act like his mother. Especially in all her hundreds of years of existence of having him. At least from what you’ve heard from Triton. She’s had plenty of chances to show her love for him and she never did.
“Of…Of course you can.”
You feel yourself smile as Triton’s face lit up. And you knew, Deep down inside, that you did the right thing. You would show this boy the love he deserved.
“Hey (Y— Mom.” You giggle at how Triton seemed to practically beam with happiness once the title left his lips.
“Yes, Triton?”
“Could we have dinner right now?”
You feel yourself jump up a little in surprise. Since you stayed later than what you usually would, due to the meeting, you didn’t have anything prepared ahead of time for dinner.
“Ah, yes. Do you think you could wait in the living room while I prepare it?”
“Of course!” Triton answers as he scrambles up off of you. As you make your way to the kitchen—which was technically in the same room as the living room—to start dinner, you find yourself drifting off into your thoughts.
You realized you really hadn’t thought this through. Taking care of Triton and all. Your apartment was small, he didn’t have his own room, he seemed to eat a lot more than a human boy his physical age and so much more.
You wouldn’t be able to buy a bigger apartment right now. Going through college and all. But you could take more shifts at work. After all, it was literally down the street. You were also good friends with the owner of the toy shop next door. You bet he would allow Triton to play with a couple of toys while you worked.
As you continue to list things you would need to take care of Triton especially if it was long term, Triton was watching cartoons on the couch.
“…Wonder cats will be right back!…”
As the show goes to commercial break, Triton feels himself let out a sigh. Television sure was awesome and all, much better than the plays and coliseum matches used to entertain gods, but he despised ads more than anything.
“Who in the world created such a malicious thing…”
Triton’s voice trails off at the end as the ad changes to another. As he stares at the screen, he feels a shiver shoot down his spine. As quickly as he could, Triton changes the channel to another before shakily dropping the television remote. A cold sheen of sweat breaks out all over his skin as he collapses back onto the couch.
To anyone else, the commercial before looked like any normal hair dye commercial seen on Tv. But not to Triton. Especially when he saw something oh so familiar.
“T-that hair color…” Triton feels himself shiver at the thought, “L-looked too much like Aunties. Mom’s…No…
…Amphitrite’s Sister.”

Author Note: Ahhh this chapter contained so much but I knew I couldn’t split it up. Especially if I was doing posting Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was worried that the time frame in between would mess my readers up. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this Chapter. I know there wasn’t a lot of Triton moments but I wanted to get the ball rolling on the plot so that things and certain characters (*cough* Poseidon *cough*) will appear soon. Well that’s it for now, see you next time :)))
