Like, yeah, I felt bad when Carmine forcibly shooed him away, but he overheard the entire story from his grandfather afterwards. He learned exactly why gramps forbade us from telling the truth (INCLUDING THE PART WHERE THEIR ANCESTOR WAS MADE THE VILLAGE PARIAH), so it was kind of a dick move for him to still throw that question at us and take it so personally.

If anything, he should've confronted gramps, but of course, what kid is going to make that their first option, if at all?
