The fact that Leo can go literally anywhere on earth to be alone with his thoughts at a single moment’s notice is something that shakes around in my head all the time. Like, portals and teleportation are amazing and convenient abilities both in and out of battle, but they could also so easily be used to run away as well.
I don’t think Leo ever would, at least not most of the time. He loves his family too much, and is too dependent on their love and attention to cut himself off so suddenly like that, but it’s a very real possibility nonetheless.
It’s a good thing Leo’s overall temper is more on the mild side and he prefers going to his room or something to complete solitude, because it really is dangerous for a kid to have the ability to isolate themselves like that at their fingertips.

This started as a panel thumbnail but I ended up making it a whole thing..
Ellie and her family are anthropomorphic giant river otters who own a corner store that Kraw frequents whenever he’s staying inland on Marrowtide. She sees him as family, although her own is big enough as it is.
They’ll be in yet another wip mini comic I have.

Season finale spoilers-
Thoughts on why Izzy’s death didn’t really sit right with me.
I really and truly do not like either the “kill your redeemed antagonists” or the “kill your mentors because the mentee has ‘nothing’ left to learn from them” troupes. Now that we have confirmation that the later is what he was going for, it adds an extra layer to the death, and that’s that
Izzy was right
Izzy admits in his death speech, and we as the viewer see that part of what drove Izzy to act the way he did in trying to encourage Ed to be Blackbeard is that he was scared of losing Ed, scared he would outlive his usefulness, scared that if he wasn’t helping Blackbeard Ed wouldn’t need him, and with the life he lived, to not be needed is to be dead. Those who outlive their usefulness get sent to doggy heaven. It felt like his arc this season was about proving this wrong. That he didn’t need to useful to Ed to deserve to live. That he can find meaning and friendship, if only he lets go of this fear.
And then the writer killed him because he… outlived his usefulness to Ed. To kill a character because you love the “mentor dies when they have nothing left to teach” troupe feels bad when the mentors arc was largely about ‘what do you do when you feel like you aren’t useful anymore in the same way you were. How do you find purpose?’
Maybe some people love this and think it adds to the drama of the death, but it’s really not for me.

How should v1’s arms be drawn?
Gameplay accurate (left) or more “balanced”?
Shoulders are slightly staggered down on both, also color coded for visual clarity

I’m discovering an important part of aging. If I have a problem that I’ve never found help for, I have to manually ask myself, “How long has it been since you tried?”
If it’s been 3+ years, there’s sometimes new tools or strategies or knowledge, and it is crucial for me to periodically check for new help for old problems. Otherwise I will just suffer needlessly. Even 1 chronic thing is fucking exhausting and it’s so cool to finally finally finally get it fixed, even if there isn’t help for all of my Health Stuff.

All of the instances I can remember Mr. “I love fighting so much” Childe shooting himself in the foot and actually delaying or even preventing a fight
-in his teaser where he only attacks the guy with the sigil after he sends guards to attack Childe first
-in his story quest where he tries to reason with the treasure horders to just hand over the money before being interrupted by Teucer (he didn’t know Teucer was there either
-“even I don’t think this is the time or place for a fight” in the Winter Nights Lazzo trailer, yes Childe is smart enough to know that causing a fight there would be a bad idea, but you think he would at least join in on the banter like the rest of the harbingers
-letting neuvillette do his whole trial bullshit before fighting him when he’s declared guilty, he wasn’t even unwarrentedly mean about the whole process either. Also when he does fight, it’s literally only to kill the gardemeks and leave, he doesn’t have any intention of fighting Neuvi or Furina unless they get in his way
-In the labriynth warriors event, he groups up with the Traveler, Xinyan and Shiki Taishou which is understandable, but he’s not rude or impatient when plot happens, and although he does run off to kill things he does also ask their permission sometimes:
like Childe you don’t have to create a whole speech from your ass just go ahead and kill things, “burden of slaughter, I will happily take your place” bs isn’t necessary
I don’t know what the conclusion of this is other than our contradictory king is back at it again, doing shit that goes against what he says about himself

How would you recommend people practice digital art? Your work is beautiful and I'm curious what journey brought you to this point <3
Ooh this is a good one- okay so imo, the most important thing is to practice by drawing/painting things u enjoy. If you’re drawing something you love, that automatically makes it easier to want to keep doing it & improving.
As far as the technical side of it goes, I’d say experiment & try a bunch of different processes to find what works for you. There’s obviously tons of different tutorials out there from people who have wildly varying art processes and I think it’s important to try many different ways of doing digital art, because the possibilities are quite literally endless.
Personally I recommend doing studies of game screenshots or even other artists’ work that you admire, in order to help understand how people use color, value, shade, etc. (I used BotW screenshots for studies personally early on, because I really admire the game’s color scheme and it helped me get a much better grasp on how I wanted to use color in my own work, especially as it pertains to environments & landscapes.) I also personally find studies to be a lot more productive than watching tutorials, because it allows me to go at my own pace and just observe- but obviously everyone has a different learning process so what works for me may not work for everyone.
And don’t be afraid to use the resources that are unique to digital art! Things like filters, HSB adjustments, curves/levels, even just different brushes can all help you get your art looking the way you want. Personally, procreate’s “color balance” options are my best friend- I use that option a ton even still, especially when I’m planning out my color schemes.
I’d also say, more as a general art tip than something specific to digital art- if you have an idea of something you want to draw or paint, but you don’t think you know how to do it or don’t think you have the skills to draw it yet— do it anyways!! Look up all the references you can, see how other people made a similar piece, and just draw yours anyways! You’ll learn a lot more by stepping out of your comfort zone and just going for it then you will by “waiting until you’re ready”. And if you don’t end up being happy with the finished piece, you can ALWAYS redo it later— just because you’ve drawn something once doesn’t mean that you’re never allowed to revisit that concept.
Overall I’d just say, experiment, play around & have fun! Find what you enjoy and it will make creating your art a lot more fulfilling.
I hope this is helpful somewhat! 🩷
