Hidden Feelings
yandere! Genshin x reader
characters: Cyno, Wanderer, Diluc.
Idea: you always say "good morning" and always talk to them, even if some do not say anything or just insult you back, you were in love, so you refused to realize that they were "evil", however, hear comments from other people and their friends saying that it was not worth it. You opened your eyes, stopping talking to them every morning and always being on they side, but what you didn't know was that these little moments were adorable for each of them.
tw: yandere content; mentions of aggression and death; not too much yandere here, but it’s okay
+Cyno Art! Sorry, I was having trouble drawing the part of Diluc and Wanderer...
Tumblr media
CYNO
–You were just another worker who had been saved by him, you also heard comments from the incredible General Mahamatra, leaving you with an exactly delusional idea of what he was like and making you fall in love slowly. Initially, you always greeted Cyno out of politeness, smiling sweetly and saying "good morning" or other depending on the time.
– However, Cyno barely answered back, just a quick answer and walk away, not giving you much room to start a more normal conversation. However, you had not yet given up and continued, even trying to have lunch and learn that card game that he seemed to like.
– Still, his reactions continued... few. No right smile and I also didn't come to you, always waiting for you. Exactly for this reason, your friend decided to try to open your eyes and adding to the comments you heard from your colleagues - calling him an idiot for looking for an impossible love - you finally understood and decided to walk away.
– Cyno noticed the change quickly, it started with you passing by him and not greeting him with his cute and gentle smile, he thought you were just busy on the day or with something in mind; however, he continued for the rest of the week, you no longer had lunch with him or tried to play TCG.
– He didn't sketch that much reaction abroad, but he was extremely confused, did he do something wrong? Did it hurt you? Maybe he was too hard while teaching you TCG?! It was not possible, Cyno still remembered your smiles while you carefully learned the game and your cute scream when a character died or lost!
– So, he decided to go to you, observing that you were playing tcg with someone else, a strange feeling took over, seeing that person so close and still touching you to teach how to play. your reactions are so adorable, but it wasn't him who was making you have those cute expressions, but another person!
– Everyone noticed the change in the General's tone, Cyno tried to act cool and pretend that none of this had affected him, maybe you were just training to surprise him? Like: "let's fight again, this time I trained a lot and I'm going to win!" Saying all this with a confident smile that he loved.
– Days. Weeks. 1 month, 2... All right, Cyno had already been angry enough, it was not possible that you were trained for so long, he would challenge you to a TCG battle and win!
– Your dear friend was on your side while he watched you play against Cyno, he expected another reaction when you lost, of course your surprise was cute, but seriously you had to call your friend so sweetly asking to train more?!
– Cyno played against his coach and won, hoping you would realize how amazing he was!
– You didn't.
– Now Cyno didn't understand, he has an immense moral compass that could not be corrupted by killing a person out of jealousy, but making him disappear was a great idea. So the plan was made, now that your coach has disappeared, your only coach should be him!
– and no, you didn't go to Cyno. The man was almost giving up! But no, no, no! He simply starts to get closer to you, trying to show the small (giant) passion.
"Let's go out today" Cyno simply said on his side, did he have free time? You just nodded with a smile, maybe he just wanted to play some TCG with you...
– After a while, you began to be titled as "General Mahamatra's partner", everyone whispered when you passed by and also feared a little talking to you. Did ignoring him for two months cost that much?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WANDERER
– Being his partner in class was quite fun and irritating, but you still fell in love with his good looks and intelligence — even more so because of his looks, but don't tell anyone that! You always greeted him with a kind smile even when he grumbled and didn't say anything back, you sat next to him every day, trying to talk and even managed to, always with a smile that it’s too cute.
– You also paid attention in class, but sometimes, Wanderer would disturb you and take your attention, making the teacher fight with both of you, and Wanderer would continue, it's not like he cared!
– This lasted a long time, until one day he was a little meaner, calling you annoying and insulting you with all the horrible things possible, telling you to get away from him and you actually did it, with your head down. Wanderer was surprised, he just expected you to insult him back like always and sit next to him without caring! "Just being an idiot, come back tomorrow..." he thought, but it's been two weeks and you haven't come back to him, hell, you even stopped greeting Wanderer, you ignored his existence.
— Do you want to play this stupid game? It's okay, he's going to play this stupid game... He doesn't last, he's simply used to your cute smile and seeing you giving that smile to someone else?! your cute greetings to another?! no way.
— Wanderer is sitting next to you this time, making sure no one comes closer and leaves you two alone as it should be. disturbing you in the middle of class, pulling you to have lunch with him and spend the day with him; Even speaking for you, but not in a cute way, Wanderer sees the others approaching, asking if you are free, he simply replies "no" and insults them until they want to give up on life.
– — If Wanderer observes someone being too kind and silly by your side, that person will "give up" the next day, with a few bruises here and there. Forces you to hold his hand and act like a cute couple, are you uncomfortable? He doesn't care, you were always his from the first moment.
DILUC
– You were fighting indirectly with Donna, a woman who also likes Diluc, your passion for him grew so fast and strong, look at him, so strong and incredible, owner of his own industry! You were lucky that your friend always drank and all his get-togethers ended up at the tavern, always giving you the opportunity to admire the man from afar.
– You took the opportunity to sneak away and be close to him, not your drunk friends, you shared the same drink, neither of them drank wine or alcoholic beverages, you thought it was destiny! So I almost always stopped by and visited, hoping Diluc would be there. He wasn't there, but that's okay, you had fun talking to Charles!
– Then you started hearing the nasty comments, commenting on what an idiot you are, how impossible this relationship would be and that he didn't deserve you. You were just another delusional person blinded by love. Such comments made you stop visiting the tavern frequently, going only when your friends invited you.
– Diluc was quick to notice the change, you sat in the corner, just waiting for your friends to get tired or most of the time, you got up (this always made his heart warm, preparing the words he would say to you thinking about how he memorized your favorite topic), however, you just walk towards the door and leave the tavern without even saying "goodbye".
– He ends up hearing the gossip from his friends, some even told him that you forgot about him and that you didn't love him anymore, even calling him an idiot! It's okay that Diluc barely showed any reactions or happiness when you greeted him, but it always made his day better.
– You had returned with your friends, drinking your juice while listening to them chatter about something, you were still surprised that Diluc hadn't kicked them out; some fainted, others were very focused on a side conversation, you got up and headed towards the door. Only to be stopped by Diluc asking you to sit down and have a talk with him.
– Diluc could see you nervous, how sad your look seemed every time you left, he was happy when you accepted and sat down to talk. Wow, how long has it been since he talked to you? see that cute smile and clumsy mannerisms?! He loves you, damn it!
– It was just a contract, his parents would never deny him a marriage, so why not bring up the topic? And… Your answer hurt him, "no", Diluc had to accept it and just let you leave. He tried to ask for your consent, but it seems like you rejected him, it's okay, he can ask your parents for your hand!

OoO I love your writing! Can I please request Prowler Miles and 1610!Aaron (I'm like 90% sure you write for them) and their gf finding out their the Prowler <33
Thank you for reading my writing! I do write for both Prowlers.
Pairing: Earth 42!Miles Morales, Earth 1610!Aaron Davis x Reader
Tags: fluff, established relationship, arguments, secret identity exposed, angry kissing, protectiveness, flying
A/N: The asks that don't outright say they want angst but give me the potential to write it are my favorite ones.
Tumblr media
Miles tries to play it cool, treating his identity as not that big of a deal
Why are you acting so shocked, you much have known something was up with him always texting back in odd hours
He can see that you're hurt, which is why he's trying to minimize this reveal as much as possible, he's no hero, he knows this very well but he never put people in danger if they didn't deserve it
If you want to see it from his perspective he can easily show you
You expected a long winded story of how he got into this life, everyone he's worked for, his origin story, but no Miles picked you up in his arms and took you flying high above the skyline
As scared as you were you felt deep down that he wasn't gonna drop you
This wasn't a tactic meant to scare you, he was sharing a part of himself with you, an evil part that was still, somehow, just as beautiful as the rest of him
Tumblr media
Aaron got scared, really scared, he started to walk back and forth in his apartment, his suit still on mumbling to himself
He barely heard you when you asked him how long he's been hiding this from you
You need to understand, he wasn't hiding because he wanted to lie to you, or because he was scared you would see him a criminal, he knew he was one, he did many bad things, but the people he worked for were much, much worse
He was hiding because he was afraid that if you knew who he was and who he was connected to that you would get caught in the crossfire, he had to protect you
To hide this from you, to lie to you, it hurt him every day, but it could never hurt more then being the reason something happens to you
You were pissed off at him, very much so but you could also see why keeping this was so important to him, honesty you weren't sure what to think of it yet
He had a lot of explaining to do, it could wait for now, you kissed him all the same, angry and desperate and wanting him out of that damn suit

❥ A Dabi/ Touya Todoroki analysis ( also just some thoughts and telling the difference between fanon and canon). ❥
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Few songs that remind me of him:
This one is gonna have a little kick
• Touya todoroki is an interesting one. I think I've always liked his character but it didn't really start to intrigue me until late season 5( cs i haven't read the manga, yet).
• So just like all of the villains in the series he didn't wake up one day and choose mass murder. It was a process, chip by chip, little punches here (metaphorically) a couple kicks there until he starts to crack. The whole idea of being the n.o1 hero, being the best was instilled in him by his father. Parents play a huge huge role on the opinions and morals that kids develop. Then when he can't seem to reach that standard, the one to please his old man, it frustrates him, but he was like what 10?. He didn't give up, he was determined, he didn't care if he hurt himself in the process, once he achieved his goal it would be worth it ( which I'll talk about again).
• So when his father insist that he should stop, he should give up, it's just, so odd, to hear a parent telling their child to give up. Knowing Enji this wasn't just for his child's safety, it was probably also for his image, and because he saw it as a waste of time to train his soilder if he couldn't fight on the battle field. Touya knew this too.
• I've seen on many apps, or maybe even edits saying that if endeavor just went to see his son on seketo ( is that it? ) peak that day, it wouldn't have happened and he'd be 'normal', or somewhere close to. I beg to differ, it would have happened anyways, his sheer will to just outshine whoever his dear, precious father wanted outweighed his concern for his own well being. Especially with shoto being born and the new focus of attention. It was just a matter of time, fate, even.
• I remember TikTok in covid time💀, i was on of those people who had a hugee crush on dabi and tomura (mostly dabi), and i remember i used to say things like "I could fix him" "he's just misunderstood" "he secretly loves the league but just can't show it" no pookie bear that is definitely not the case😭. Fanon dabi is.....cool, but if i actually tried to interact with him he'd just, i don't kill me? I don't think he cares about anyone.
• Definitely not his siblings, he hates them too. He has an almost patronizing look on the women in his family, not doing anything to help or protect him ( not that he wanted it). He hated his little brother, shoto, for stealing his life, the life that he wanted. He hates his father for igniting a spark in him, then abandoning it, causing it to burn him up. He hates natsu, for not understanding and just accepting that they were both failures. His relationship with natsu, based on the little snips that we got give me very bittersweet, angsty vibes that i do want to look into. I digress. But no, Touya cares about no one, not even the league, they're just another tool to get him closer to his goal.
• He doesn't care about himself either as i mentioned earlier. Remember that spark i talked about?, it didn't burn him up completely, left a nasty big scar though. It's still burning, it's just fueled by something else now, a desire, a need to torture and kill Enji Todoroki. He isn't afraid of death, he was at it's doorstep and age 13, he's tasted it. He only puts in effort to preserve his life because his goal isn't complete. If he dies during or after, once he gets what he wants, and sees the look on their faces, he couldn't give a shit about what happens to him.
• Touya is not emotionally constipated. He's fucked up yeah but i believe that he's learnt how to feel his feelings, which are mostly anger, disgust and hatred. He appears nonchalant cause he channels those emotions into his revenge plan.
• I'd like to say he's a typical case of a psychopath, psychologically speaking. It's just that he has a motive to kill, most psychopaths do not (realize i said most) they just kill for the thrill. But other than that he checks off all the boxes. He's killed on multiple occasions, having very very little or non existent remorse for his actions, not very socially inclined, and if you think about it, is kinda selfish.
• Do not believe for one second that touya would see and remember the things he went through and be like "no, I'm above that". You're wrong, he would gladly mirror the behavior that he grew up around if it suited him. Top tier gaslighter and manipulater energy from this man.
• I'm not trying to demonize him, it's not his fault he doesn't care about anyone. It's just that he's never felt it, he doesn't actually know what it is, so he can't give it, you can't give something that you don't have. Some may argue that he had his siblings and rei, not saying they didn't love him but he didn't feel it, or want it, he wanted his father's love which he didn't receive in the slightest.
I didn't go over this so they're might be spelling errors

Can I ask why exactly you like Sauron? You think that he’s a cool villain?
Hey anon, a very good question!
Yeah, you really can boil it down to the fact that I think he's a cool villain. I generally like the villains more in things. I always have, even when I was small. They just always struck me as more fun to read about or watch. Especially the ones with the really overly theatric antics and aesthetic. It makes them fun. (Also, the tendancy, especially in children's media, to have the villains constantly doing some dramatic evil laugh always made it seem to me like they were having more fun than everyone else...). I also always thought they get to be the more interesting things, they get to be the vampires and ghosts and mad scientists. I've never envied a hero being a normal human with a strict moral compas. I have envied villains with wild powers who simply blow up their problems. And of course, without the villain being villanous, would there even be a story? No. Say thank you to the villains for your favourite tales.
As for Sauron specifically, he fits the above. He's dramatic. He looks like he's having fun being awful. I want to be a shapeshifter/vampire/werewolf/necromancer/ruler of all things/demigod goddamnit!
But he also hits on something else that I'm a complete sucker for in stories. I love fall stories. In fact, I love anything that involves a character switching sides, but a fall is always more interesting to me than a redemption. I love to watch someone get worse. I love to watch them get what they wanted and lose it or throw it away. I love a good bit of hubris. Of course, we don't get to see Sauron's fall. It's never described, not even sketched out. But at the same time, whenever you read Tolkien's writings about Morgoth it's always very "and he was always awful, just the worst, terrible guy, probably spits on babies or something". His writing about Sauron always seems to contain a little nugget of "he wasn't always like this, in fact his evils are inspired by what were once his virtues". It invites you to think about his character. There's hidden layers in there that we are free to imagine and explore. And it's made all the more interesting by the fact that our order loving Maia chose to serve chaos and change itself, which is seemingly contradictory, though Tolkien does explain it by his being attracted by the decisiveness and power of Morgoth. It's just fascinating how much there is hiding behind the villain who never really appears on the page very much, even when he is The Big Bad TM.
This isn't even getting into his other kind of falls, meaning his defeats. He's terrifying and powerful but put him in a fist fight or on the beach and he's going to end up disembodied or almost so. He's a bit not that impressive under all that power.
Over all, he has everything that I enjoy in a character and I just think he's fun.

the person who didn't understand why AUs exist...even the idea that belos is no longer interesting once the evil is erased is like?? not true at all. did they forget there is a PERSON, a whole-ass personality with a backstory before the Emperor Belos element? That he's interesting as a villain BECAUSE of how his personality and backstory informs his evil deeds. XD it's why I love your AU so much. He still feels like Philip/Belos, just in a different context. It's cool to see.
honestly for me it's kinda fun cause i wouldn't call him like a "Good person" in the au, in fact it's kinda valid most people in the au don't like him.
Like he's not evil, but he's not some morally good person either, and i at least find it fun to play with.
I describe him in the au more as someone conflicted with his actions and handling it in fairly unhealthy ways that break him down and is slowly going through recovery and healing. I mean his character is rooted in religious trauma and he grew up in basically a cult? so i find exploring that and how it affects him interesting.
i feel removing any and all his flaws would just make him basically a different character, it makes more sense to take his existing flaws and implement it in his new role.
And like hey, people always gotta keep this in mind, i made this au before s2, like before any of his worst crimes were actually known to us.
I had to build around the show basically, things changed as it went, the stuff the show did with belos kinda gave me a rough task to work with.
like this au wasn't made AFTER HM or something, after the grimwalker and brother stuff, i had this idea awhile back and goofed around with it and it more or less just kinda evolved?
it started off as me just being like "How about a villain/hero swap au cause of the parallels I'm spotting?" and people just fell in love with it.
all i can say is, i did my best with what i was given, and hey, if it made philip a more interesting character for me to play around with how his behavior hurts those around him but also his strong desire for companionship and his abandonment issues.
Then i am glad i could show what makes him so compelling for others by trying new things with him.
if he was really generic, i probably wouldn't bother, but i find the drama with him and caleb and his behavior and actions interesting. So it's kinda fun to take that in a new light by putting it in the focus of a swap au where he is hated and outcasted by witch society.

To this day, I still think that the way George Lucas wrote Vader is SO cool
There’s something so darkly heartwarming and awesome about making Darth Vader, who morally speaking is an absolute monster that remorselessly hurts millions of innocent people and who is perhaps THE most feared person in the entire galaxy due to his visibility and feats, love his son Luke, the picture perfect definition of a pure hero who decides to operate on the power of love and optimism, so much
About making a huge chunk of his story in the OT revolve around him desperately trying to capture Luke because he just wants his son again
There is something so sweetly awful/awfully sweet about Darth Vader having 0 issues with brutally murdering other people’s sons but still having the audacity to go into an apoplectic rage if anyone dares do something as ~evil~ as even slightly harm HIS son
Terrifying villain dads loving their genuinely heroic protagonist sons is a trope that’s so awesome and yet so weirdly rare, and I LOVE how galaxy brained George Lucas was for making the Vader-Luke relationship like this
You know what this makes me remember in a real life example? In the Holocaust museum I saw a letter from a Nazi officer who was writing to his wife about how much he missed her and his children, how much he loved them, how he was going to bring them gifts when he went home. And he also described some of the horrendous atrocities he was doing, and it even said "killing so many (jews) is hard but you get used to it, you stop seeing them as people." I won't ever forget that phrase. Because it really struck me, how human it was. And how it's useless to see people who commit such crimes as monsters, because they are human, and humans are capable of these things.
Back to your point about Vader, he's such a force of evil for so long, he kills and tortures and destroys and yet he's still capable of loving his son and missing his late wife because fundamentally he's human, he never stopped being human. Humans are capable of horrendous things and it doesn't take away the capacity to love. It sounds so contradictory and yet it's true! And it's also an indicator of how selfish love can be. Because how can someone love so fiercely and also be a murderer, a torturer, a tyrant? Because love is not an inherently pure or absolute good thing, love can be selfish and destructive. That's Anakin's entire central conflict, how he loves so selfishly. And it's also amazing how Luke, someone who has so much selfless love to give, who never went without love, because Owen and Beru loved him, and Obi-Wan loved him, and Leia loved him, and Han, and everyone around him in some way loved him, he has love to spare. And he could somehow show Vader that he also could love in a way that wouldn't destroy him, but that it could heal him. And how, at the same time, Luke always craved that fatherly love, and Vader being so selfishly obsessed with him probably contributed to Luke forgiving his father for what he'd done to him and how much he had hurt him. Knowing Vader wasn't indifferent to him but rather wanted him, had wanted that child he thought he'd lost, that his existence in the universe wasn't unwanted, that probably meant so much to Luke. And it also proved to him, someone who never went without love, that he could be selfish about it too, and choose to forgive and try to redeem someone who did not deserve forgiveness nor redemption. In the eyes of the Galaxy Vader will always be a monster and a tyrant but for Luke, who allowed himself to love his father selfishly, he could be someone who in the end chose to save and protect him.

R.E. Eggman is cool: you're right and you should say it. If Eggman wasn't cool, it would feel less fun when Sonic is cool. The times when Eggman isn't cool and heinous, Sonic is so much less cool and heroic. He has to be cool in the Amazing, Terrible, Full-Commitment way, or the stakes simply aren't high enough.
Exactly! Eggman has always been cool just like Sonic. Neither were designed to just be cute and Eggman was always far from innocent. Even when his design was cuter in the classic days, he had his awesome creations with the cruelty of capturing and trapping animals inside, his intricate complex bases that showed he meant business with his evil schemes, and he was a severe threat with the immense environmental damage that he stil causes to this day.
The Adventure games emphasized even more the lengths he'll go to on globally catastrophic scales and how he'll threaten lives and will try to kill to get what he wants. And he hasn't lost his coolness as even in the Pontaff written games, his actions and plans made him a serious threat from creating more powerful death machines, kidnapping and enslaving Wisps and Zeti, building a deadly Interstellar theme park, attempting to brainwash the entire planet, releasing more eldritch horrors on the world, taking over 99% of the planet with a devastating war, to attempting to drop the sun on his enemies and tons more!
And in Frontiers the only reason he didn't get to be cool is because he didn't get the chance, he tried but was then trapped in Cyberspace wishing he could get out there and do cool stuff. XD But he certainly wasn't any less of a bad guy there as he still has the very clear desire to be and he is greatly amused and celebratory at Sonic's cyber corruption death. The morally gray Eggman that's gone soft that people have been misinterpreting him as doesn't exist.
Sonic is cool because Eggman is cool. Sonic's feats would be far less impressive if Eggman wasn't so strong and dangerous of a threat in these many ways with his deadly robots, machines, weapons fleets, destructive evil plots and dark intentions in taking over the world, stealing everyone's freedom and having all the power and control. He's the one that raises the stakes and puts the entire planet in danger for Sonic to save and be the cool guy he is too.
If Eggman didn't want to be the bad guy and have those dark intentions, Sonic would just be fighting a sweet soft old man who didn't really want to fight or do anything diabolical and that'd be way less cool. I guess people who don't see Eggman as cool just want eldritch horror monsters to be the villains instead but who makes the plans and attempts to release them in the first place? Eggman! So many cool things in the series were thanks to him in one way or other.
Eggman's full commitment, confidence, passion, and determination for what he does makes him extremely dangerous and is also what makes him so cool and charismatic. He would lose so much of what makes him fun and interesting and just what makes him who he is without it and so many of the thrilling entertaining badass moments in the series wouldn't exist. Tons of the stories wouldn't have even happened at all without him being a bad guy!
Diabolical villainous Eggman is very important and helps make Sonic whole. If Eggman didn't match Sonic in coolness, power, passion and didn't have full commitment to his villainous role, Sonic wouldn't be the cool hero he is with his impressive world saving feats! He'd just be beating up a poor old innocent man who actually wanted to help the world or something and he comes along like meanie and bullies him. Which would be lame and obviously isn't what Sega/Sonic Team are going for lol

ooh unpopular opinion time!
Mindreaders shouldn't have been able to mindread just dragons and scavs. It either should've been dragons only or most animals being able to be mindread by more powerful mindreaders. Seems pretty silly to have scavengers be the one exception, when, like, a lot of animals do still have emotions that can be mindread; they just don't have the same complexity as humans for the most part.
Turtle comes off as far more transfem than transmasc imo. Transfem Turtle is an under-appreciated headcanon in the fandom.
Deathbringer literally treats Glory the same way Undauntable treats Wren. It's just seen as cute and romantic with Deathbringer because Glory likes him back.
Darkstalker is a sympathetic villain and that doesn't make him morally grey in the slightest. You can sympathize with a villain while still acknowledging that they're pretty much pure evil.
Oh, on a related note, AUs where Peacemaker discovers he's Darkstalker aren't actually overrated. There's just a small minority of fans who like to say that it goes against the message of the book, when these AUs are often purposefully about pointing out the flawed messaging. And I have trouble believing Foeslayer would be a good mom to any of her dragonets, especially to the dragonet enchanted to be her "do-over" from the guy who killed her husband.
Luna's tapestry thing never really bothered me. What upset me was seeing the giant jump in character from being extremely ready and willing to fight to essentially being made into a pacifist because they needed to keep to the stereotypes.
Freedom was a bad choice of character plot-wise, but a lot of the people critiquing her just seemed to be picking on that she wasn't the perfect ever apologetic abuse survivor. Of course she's going along with what her abuser says, who's literally trapped her in his mind as a hatchling forever. At the same time, her pretty much suicide wasn't very impactful because... well, we never got time to get attached to her. She was just thrown in at the end to be a big emotional moment, and that's not really how character deaths work.
Yeah I agree with the mindreader bit. I'd love to see more unique and interesting bits with that.
I do love any sort of trans Turtle headcanons. Maybe I'm stupid but I just look at him and go: "he has no gender" and becomes just like me fr. Trans fem Turtle is so cool though,, oh you can do so much with that.
Imma be blunt and say I do like Undauntable and Wren's sort of dynamic, but as platonic. Same goes for Glorybringer. Take out the flirting and replace it with playful banter and make it platonic and you're golden. Glorybringer in its current state? Ehhhh....no thank you...
Precisely that. I love me my villains and objectively terrible characters who I WILL make relatable and hold traits the readers can identity with. Does that make them even remotely morally grey? No! It just means they have more complexity and depth than a piece of paper.
I refuse to believe Foeslayer, or Hope now, could go back to a somewhat normal life with Peacemaker. I've been itching to write a oneshot about that for a while. Also, good stuff with the other things. I just woke up and can't formulate thoughts as well lmao.
The tapestry thing bothers me a little cause it seems like Luna constantly harks back to it at the worst and most distracting bits. Not that much though. I just think it's funny to point at how much she mentions it. But, yeah, her character was pretty rushed.
On the topic of rushed characters...oh my god Freedom....you could've been so much better... But, yeah. People critique her and make her out like she's bad because she's not a perfect abuse victim who's always good. She's not that great of a character cause she doesn't have a natural and smooth arc of becoming redeemed and good. It just kinda suddenly happens. Also just because something made you cry doesn't automatically mean it's good.

THOUGHTS ON THE NATSUHIKO PLOT TWIST
I HAVE BEEN A NATSUHIKO APOLOGIST FOR MOST OF THE SERIES SO TO SEE THAT HE IS IMPORTANT TO THE PLOT, ALBEIT IN A NOT TOO POSITIVE WAY MAKES ME REALLY KSDJHSJFSHDFJSHFKH
I'M NOT NORMAL ABOUT THAT PLOT TWIST
Love that for him! I wasn't surprised by the immortality reveal, but the toxic blood is so cool, did not see it coming at all! It brings so many ideas to explore and insanity fuel I haven't had in a while with Natsuhiko!
I always had a soft spot for Natsuhiko, so I am so happy he is being important, taking the spotlight in the broadcasting club! :D But I am not an apologist, I approve of his wrongs just as much as his rights. I love when he acts morally grey, and it was cool to see him be explicitly evil for once instead of his more subtle questionable actions (I will make a post about his morality and how it fascinates me later when I have the time)

They really didn't do enough with the sam seeing visions and thinking that they're from God, when really they're from Lucifer plotline in s11, because holy crap that was good. There is something that is just so devastatingly fascinating about sam, desperate to believe in a force greater than himself, and for that force of divine intervention and purity to have chosen him. Then to have these visions show him his deepest and most central traumatic wound, to lead him back towards this suffering. Oh the TURMOIL.
Sam has always craved purity - he has always wanted desperately to belong, to be pure like everyone else. The little kid who thought he could never go on a holy quest because he wasn't clean enough, who went on to find out about the demon blood fed to him when he was an infant and thinking this is the puzzle piece he was missing - this is the answer to why he feels the way he does - he is impure and wretched on a biological level. He is filled with self-doubt in s1-2 as to his powers and what this means for him, clawing at faith (faith in Dean and their policy of saving people as much as faith in a religious sense) to feel stabalised. He is frustrated and angry in s4 at this demon blood in him, the fact that there is something innately evil in him that he can never 'rip out' or 'scrub clean'. Then by the time s8 rolls around he LEAPS at the chance to purify himself. Yeah, cause that's healthy. All of this is to say that when sam gets his first vision after praying in the hospital chapel, he wants so desperately to believe that it is God who has looked down on him and thought him worthy. That, for once, the divine have been the ones to put their faith in him, not the devil.
And then the reveal. It was never God. It was never something holy.
Evil has kept its claws in him since he was six months old and he will never be clean of it. It was the devil all along. This realisation is crushing and I will never get over Sam's face as he realises, wide eyed with shock and horror as a tears spills out of his eye. Devastating.
But yet the deep seeded horror of this plotline is so underexplored. Like, call me biased but I would have really stretched this idea out a few more episodes at LEAST. Place more emphasis on this moral conundrum between wanting to have faith and yet this faith asking you to do something no person should ever go through.
In fact, I loved the first few episodes of s11, they had me on the edge of my seat. The black veined virus thing?? Amazing - I want more. It would have been cool to have seen this be a continuous thing across the whole season. Like if the season slowly devolved into this kind of wrought post-apocalyptic thing. Ik that probably wouldn't work but I would have loved to see it. And creepy baby Amara and that exorcism stuff - so cool. Anyway, this post is kind of a mess, but I just loved how s11 started; the darker tone, the boys completely out of their depth, the idea of this biblical plague that makes people 'unclean, in the biblical sense' - super fun ideas. It's not that I didn't like where s11 ended up, but I just feel like at some point the tone completely changed and it just got a bit... goofy. I blame Lucifer, mainly (and chuck). Every scene with Lucifer and Sam I was pulling my hair out cause WHY IS SAM SO CALM?? This guy literally tortured him for centuries and had him so dreadfully freaked out at the start of the season and now its like yeah whatever. And it's not like I expected it to take centre stage or anything but in theory, the idea that the Winchester's bestest bestie Cas is possessed by Lucifer, who they actually now need to stop Amara should have been some crazy psycho horror shit. Sam should have been seeing Lucifer's mannerisms like second nature, thinking he's going crazy. Dean should be worried that Sam's is going off his rocker and yet also feeling something so fundamentally off with Cas. But they just didn't feel the need to delve into that whatsoever I guess.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I really loved the ideas, particularly surrounding Sam, that were going on at the start of s11. I think using this as a springboard would have been a really interesting exploration of character for him, and Dean too as he is forced to confront how Sam's relationship with faith and purity differs from his own, and then ultimately a revaluation of the way he sees him. I mean, he wasn't exactly supportive once he found out Sam having demon blood had some side effects. Even when he didn't know about Sam drinking demon blood or Ruby, even when Sam was truly just saving people he called him a monster, told him that if he didn't know him, he's want to hunt him. Crazy times.

what is your ship about Pk
You've no idea how long I've waited for someone to ask about this.
And still, I've got no good answer. Honestly WL x PK is very beautiful-looking and also supported by canon, but at the same time I don't have her fleshed out to nearly the same extent as PK, which makes it difficult for me to be hyped/invested. The same goes for Grimm. I'm not particularly attached to him, but he is super cool nonetheless!
Probably the closest thing for me is Pale Watcher. And like, I'm not talking about some variation where both PK and Lurien survive and get a happy ending together. No. Because I am evil, I greatly enjoy the concept of Lurien sacrificing himself out of one-sided love. And, as much as I think they would mesh well together personality-wise I can't see my interpretation of PK being comfortable in a relationship with Lurien, due to many reasons.
For one, there's a pretty huge power discrepancy, two, my mans would basically be sending his would-be-boyfriend to his death, three, I still think PK would hold lingering fidelity toward WL, and four, he's understandably got self-esteem issues and would deem himself unworthy of a loving relationship even if the opportunity presented itself. Has he always had those issues? No, but I think it got increasingly clear to him as things escalated that he's not who he thought he was — more on all of this later*.
Also, Lurien is probably too chicken to confess and PK is too socially oblivious (sperg) to know when someone wants to put a ring on him. IMO it's a great will-they-won't-they dynamic I basically never get tired of. Truly, a source of endless giggles AND silly leg-swinging whilst twirling my luscious locks.
TL;DR, PK is super single, you guys. He's too busy trying to dad after I unceremoniously revived him for that very purpose. I can't let such a tragic dadfailure go unchanged!
*So, I know not everyone has this interpretation, but my particular variation of PK values his moral integrity IMMENSELY and strives to do the Right thing. Entering a relationship with Lurien, for example, would probably not be the Right thing. I think Lurien is perceptive enough (it's his job) to realize this as well and would not push it. SIMP <3.
With all of that said, the vessel plan haunted PK to his death and tore him asunder, mentally. Like, he was probably guilt-free and doing fine during the dawn of his reign, considered himself worthy of love — but after having to create the vessels? Nah. I do not have any doubt in my mind that PK recognized how fucked it was. Guy literally had a mantra to soothe himself (no cost too great) and I'm not even sure he believed it... Dude probably had the cognitive dissonance and self-gaslighting turned up to 100 in order to live with himself. So yeah, if someone asked him out on a date or something he'd probably just go: "oh, you can do better than me".
*pinches his cheeks*
Which cheeks, you ask? Yes.
Also, you might find it weird that I would say PK has fidelity for WL considering the canon infidelity. Some jokingly/seriously characterize him as a 'playa' because of this. Well, my specific boy is not a playa!!! Too awkward for it and not nearly horny enough. He's running on fumes as-is. WL is the horny one, goddammit.
So, in my opinion, that dalliance wasn't really something he desired and was more a means to an end. I'm glad he did it though! Otherwise we wouldn't have our girlboss Hornet. Thanks king!!! 😘
Anywayyyy I think I got pretty off-track but I enjoyed getting my sperg on. I appreciate the ask!

it's so weird I personally never saw/considered toffee as evil???? and had no idea that people hated him??????? I thought it was universally agreed he was the best and most tragic thing to happen in the series?????????
even after the rollercoaster that was comet I'm more inclined to believe he DIDN'T murder her (tbf she had it coming)
Oh, I agree with you. I don't think he's evil. But unfortunately, that doesn't erase how the writers, and a section of the fans, treated him. Maybe they were a vocal minority, but if so they were extremely vocal. Here's the breakdown:
The writers: I've explained at length how the writers screwed over Toffee. They change his motives from petty to deep depending on who they're talking to, they ignore all the mystery boxes they created regarding him, and if there's any way they want us to feel about his pointless, horrible death, it's either relief or a dull sadness that the magic wasn't destroyed right then. Not horror or righteous indignation. He isn't explicitly a tragic victim, he's barely even mentioned after, and never in a way that implies Star should feel guilty for murdering him. Explicitly, he's a faceless obstacle to be knocked over by Star after she levels up, and it's totally fine she literally melted him, it's fine! We shouldn't question the morality of our white savior protagonist, it's fine!
But the big one, and the one you were likely referring to, is the fandom. And when I made that analysis, I do admit to one cop-out: the fandom isn't like that now. Nowadays it's mostly dead, with the odd stubborn holdout (like me) posting in the tag now and then. A lot of us are Toffee fans, still posting because we liked the potential the show had and so we're imagining him as a character and not the plot equivalent of a bowling pin. But Back In The Day, when the show was still running, people celebrated Toffee's death. It was so cool that Star Vs. had the guts to graphically murder a character onscreen! Star was so cool, and here you thought this show was for kids! Her butterfly form is so cool! Yeah, so much better than that loser Steven Universe, who just talks about his feelings to the villains and solves problems with love and friendship! Never mind that there's a reason other shows don't do this, and that's because it sends a horrible message. Star should've taken a page out of Steven's book honestly.
But surely after the shock of this super cool and edgy death wore out, people started to see the tragedy inherent in Toffee's character? Nope! I mean, there were some popular analysis posts and such, but the fandom mostly forgot about Toffee, along with the writers. And while we were forgetting about that, Morningmark happened. I've talked about him before, but he's always been both a good barometer for the fandom's opinion of a character as well as a shaper of it. When he rarely goes against the fandom's majority opinion, the fandom seems to bend over backwards to make his headcanon everyone's headcanon. Even when it involves dubious characterization. I have already talked about why Morningmark is overrated, but... he just does not get Toffee, even after the show ended with Toffee kind of acknowledged as being right, even after the fandom slowly began to die. In his urge to make everything haha funny he just made it really flat and made Toffee stupid, boring, and evul, and since his comics were the only thing getting notes in the quickly-dying fandom, it made it very annoying to be a fan of depth and tragedy in svtfoe. Then he stopped making svtfoe comics and moved to making Belos stupid and other The Owl House-related crimes, and at least I don't have to worry about his dreadful takes on Toffee anymore, so that's great.
And from there it was a short hop to the fandom we have today, where only people who got something important out of svtfoe still make content. Now, and only now, do we have the majority thinking Toffee's story, or at least what we saw of it, was the best thing to come out of svtfoe.
Also, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Mina killed Comet and blamed Toffee. That would be a much better twist than the whole Moon bs.

Holy shit are you the one that wrote that really good orv soulmates au? You're killing it! Also do you ever think about Kim Namwoon? I do. I think it's cool how he's introduced as a chuuni with no moral code, but as the story progresses he somehow develops into this odd character that represents the lack of a divide between good and evil. At first, his actions in the train are shown as cruel and evil, but then you realize that in some ways, he's actually kind of right? Ima write an essay (1/??)
Ok so im back- so I can't put images in an ask, but Kim namwoon's monologue about killing that woman is actually really interesting. He talks about how they HAVE to kill her- If they don't, they're all going to die. And that's wrong (but only because of the grasshoppers- is Gilyoung wasn't there, He'd actually be in the right here) So, in the context of the first scenario, Kim Namwoon is 'evil'. but as you read more, you realize a lot of stuff which retroactively redeems him (2/??) For example, Everyone outside of car 3807 who survives is a murder, just like Kim Namwoon. And they aren't evil for it- there's a distinction made between murderers and monsters. There's a lot of this- The scene in the theatre dungeon on the boats (live no matter what), etc etc. and we see that Kim Dokja isn't opposed to them either. The main reason he let Kim namwoon die is because he hates him. which is cool! especially because it leads the way for future character development (3/??) Regarding their relationship- Kim Dokja has to come to terms with the fact that Namwoon wasn't actually all that bad, both by working with him in the underworld and meeting the ''him' from alternate regressions. This arc works for two purposes- 1) It relates to the theme of evil versus good- Kim Namwoon is neither, so it's unfair to treat him as one or the other. But the second is my favorite- Kim Dokja's opinion of Namwoon serves as a kind of metaphor for his opinion on himself. (4/5) We know from the text that He sees Kim namwoon as similar to him, and so it's interesting to see him stop hating him as he comes to terms with stuff.
Always cool to hear from someone who's read wall fic :). You reminded me that there's a few Kim Namwoon scenes in the next chapter I'm excited to write... but my writing anxiety has been acting up again on the end of chapter four and I have to finish sewing a l/eech be/anie b/aby from scratch this week, so it'll probably be a bit til we get there.
I think that your analysis is really interesting, mostly because going at it from the angle of "morality" of omniscient reader is a perspective i kind of lack on my own. Like good vs evil is one of The themes of ORV that they hand out to you in their list of themes they have written on some literal walls, but honestly its not something i really think about on my own. For me, like you mention, the big emphasis of KNW's character is what he represents to Kim Dokja, bc i think one of my favorite themes is the relationship of him as a reader to the WoS characters and the "impossible communication" theme.
I think that one of my favorite aspects of Kim Dokja is the way that he was able to empathize and see himself in the different characters in WoS and give them the specific comforts they needed at different times in the story (reaching out to LJY, SYS, YJH, etc) and fundamentally giving them someone who is on their side and their for them when everything is lost and they are alone, because that's something that he didn't have. All throughout reading ways of survival, the only thing by his side was this story. He sort of knows what the solutions to their problems are just cause he knows what he needed back then... so this really positive trait is coming out of his projection of his own thoughts and feelings from the past to these characters he loves. It's great that we have Kim Namwoon as an inversion of that, a character onto whom he's projected not the struggles he faced, but rather the traits that embarrass him.
This is mostly my interpretation but I really feel that there are similarities in the ways KDJ talks about himself as a child idolizing Yoo Joonghyuk and going through a chuuni phase and the way that he talks about KNW, and I think him being unkind to KNW is an extension of him being unkind to himself. Like at the beginning of ORV KDJ is in this place where his hero worship of YJH is at this crossroads with his view of his own self that he expects YJH to just treat him like a bug he has to exterminate unless he proves some other value. This perspective is interesting when you take into account that KDJ of the past would imagine being friends with the WoS characters and even used to pretend he was YJH, and that in fact the entirety of ORV was something he had continuously planned out since childhood when he wrote stats in his school notebook because it paints this picture of his daydreaming just being brutally beat down as he grows up and starts thinking about what would be really "realistic" with the kind of person that he believes himself to be... And then as that process is happening, Kim Dokja reads over and over again YJH just, at the start of every regression, picking up this annoying younger guy who's so desperate to impress him and somehow manages to get his attention while being embarrassingly chuuni and seeming to revel in the chance to kill someone... I think what you say is interesting about whether or not KNW was "right" to murder someone on the train, but honestly I don't think it matters as much whether or not he was right or wrong, just that Kim Dokja thought he was being an asshole about it, lmao. The whole thing of him killing Kim Namwoon is really interesting to me becaus it's a mix of a lot of great things. On one hand it's a big asset for the theme of a reader in the world of his favorite story because the premise of "My favorite book is real so I finally get to kill that character I've always hated," which is hilarious in its own right, gets turned into "wow I killed a 19 year old" when he's slowly starting to realize WoS characters are Real People, but it's also honestly a big piece of forshadowing for the end of orv before the epilogues and Kim Dokja's true character. Kim Namwoon's type of character is the kind that in most apocalypse stories is setting the tone of the edgey new reality, introducing the fact that people will die. He also represents the very idea of being forced into a situation where you must become a murderer or die; the jumping off point of WoS that Kim Dokja as a character fundamentally connects to. As a kid, he was forced to defend himself from his abusive father, and ultimately killed him. This is a central, scarring event of his childhood, and even though he represses and warps this memory into his mother's version of events, the concept is still something real to him and something that shapes his way of thinking. Obviously sometimes killing is necessary, but to enjoy it too much or brag about it on some level is associated with KDJ's past with his mother who wrote a book about murder and himself who once had to kill someone... It's obvious why Kim Dokja would hate a character representing this kind of narrative, that someone must be killed and because of that those involved are blameless, because Kim Dokja always pushes the blame of others' deaths onto himself... because in the world where everything is as Kim Dokja imagines and dreams it to be, KNW comes back as a spirit of vengeance to temporarily stall him on the bridge, there's an idea that KDJ deserves some retribution that he avoids to pursue his goals, which is consistent with what happens at the end right before the epilogues -
(quick digression: I've said this before and I'll say it again; I think that KDJ killing KNW is the reason that YJH tried to kill him in the beginning of ORV. KDJ dismisses it as YJH being an asshole for no reason, but I really believe that on some level YJH saw that KDJ just killed his chuuni little mentee and was like okay i want this guy to die. also getting into orv ending spoilers here ok)
-where KDJ tries to kill the kid version of himself by using disconnected film theory and stabbing himself. Like I genuinely think that KDJ avoids thinking about morality with the efficacy of "I know that I'm in the wrong, but I'm always wrong and terrible and regardless of what ever I am I have to get to the end of the story" and then after that whether or not he feels that he deserves salvation or damnation because to him the story that he loves is both...
gah, that was a tangent. I just mean that I think that part of killing KNW is Kim Dokja trying to kill a part of himself, the part of himself that dared to have the dreams that he had about the WoS characters being his family, just like he tries to kill the OD who still has those dreams... and is utterly baffled that those dreams could actually be realized in any universe. Additionally, the turn around KDJ has with KNW reminds of this in that he sees KNW in this constructive environment where he kind of just gets to be a kid and build gundams and realizes that these things that he hated about himself and KNW were just like... things that kids do. Like being chuuni about murder and the dark truth of the world is just a phase that teenagers go through sometimes just like building gundams... /hj... and like being cringey and having unrealistic ideas and desires isn't inherently malicious, like how we see KNW in the alternate dimension is just sort of a little brother character who has a crush on LJY and fools around with his mentor's stuff... It's similar to the kind of realization you want KDJ to have at the end towards himself when he sees the OD going with SP and crew to be a family lmao.
i wrote a bit lmk if i misphrased something or lost a train of thought somewhere

Season 3 episode 2 reaction babyyyy!! Part 1 (i hope of 2)
I will just go straight into this, AH
NO ARE WE STARTING WITH THIS SCENE!? FUCK YOU, I CAN'T HOLD BACK TEARS FROM KING'S FINAL WORDS ANYMORE
Lilith using hooty as a form of jetpack is making me laugh, I am sorry. BUT LILITH I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE OKAY, I love you dearly YOU TOO HOOTY. God what a way to start the episode. I assume it will be the counter pov to the Human Realm. So I think it will be Eda, King, Collector, Lilith and Hooty pov? OO that's fun! And it will have ep3 as the final, both sides reunited?
HOOTY NO! LILITH! COLLECTOR KIDDO, NOT COOL, DON'T DO THAT, GODDDDDD WHERE DID YOU PUT THEM!?
RAINE IS ALIVE! Hallelujah! I was getting worried they would die because they used their last bit of energy saving Eda, BUT EDA AND RAINE LIVE ON!
HARPY EDA IS BACK LADIES, GENTLEMEN AND OTHER GUESTS! SHE IS BACK AND RAINE IS SMITTEN!
God no, the curse, shit, well nobody thinks to plan emergency potions when the world IS LITERALLY BEING RIPPED APART, fair enough
Oh woah, Luz is in this episode, huh, well that's funky! Well there goes my idea, but damn, I am excited. MAYBE TIME WORKS DIFFERENTLY IN DIFFERENT REALMS, oo
"This Mama is hungry for vengeance!" "Now THAT is a fight I'd watch" took the words out of my mouth Gus, HELL YEAH, GO KICK BELOS' BUTT CAMILA
.....Okay, LISTEN, "The collector is evil blah blah" YEAH, well, maybe not, BUT THEY HAVE DONE BAD ACTIONS... However this version of bonesborough looks cool! Well, not cool, maybe nostalgic? Reminds me of children's lullabies, SO I LIKE IT!
Turning people into dolls tho, that's bad
Belos! Always lovely to see your.... slimey, gross, figure! But lets not kill innocent butterflies, alright pal? And damn, you get hallucinations of your brother? Also this feels like common sense BUT DON'T CLONE YOUR BROTHER WHO YOU MIGHT HAVE KILLED?! LIKE THAT DAGGER LOOKS VERY LIKE YOU KILLED HIM WITH IT PHILIP!
My guy starts melting and says "I need a new body", like just deal with it, humans only get 1 body, stop getting several! Leave some for the rest of us. damn.
Camila, Gus and Willow just having a conversation trying to find the best way to support Luz awakened something inside of me, especially the "He wasn't disappointed in me, but I didn't want to fail him" LIKE DAMN, WHO IS SPYING ON MY LIFE TO MAKE THIS TOO DAMN RELATABLE
"Don't worry about me, like Gus said, I'm the reliable one" 1) AGAIN, WHO IS SPYING ON ME and 2) I have heard that one before Willow AND I KNOW YOU ARE 1 MORE "Are you okay?" AWAY FROM SOBBING, its okay Willow bestie, you can cry too
I hope we find out what Luz's Palisman hatches too soon, I am wayyyyyyyy too impatient for this, I AM DESPERATE
THEY GOT MATCHING JUMPERS AND HOOTY GOT A MATCHING BOWTIE?! FUCKKKKKK, nobody touch me, I am sensitive right now, GOD this found family is so important to me!!
"I will find Eda and King, no matter how long it takes" "ITS EDA AND KING" fucking hell Hunter way to ruin the adventure (/j) (Yes I did start laughing when Hunter said that)
..........Okay, erm. Well. Collector. I see what you have done. And, I question your methods! As this feels like, idk, maybe a tad illegal and morally wrong? Idk though might be wrong, but turning people into dolls is erm.. less quirky and more, wrong.
......................Okay. Right. I DON'T THINK MASS CONTROLLING EVERYONE TO PLAY PRETEND WHILST YOU BE A HERO IS VERY MORALLY GOOD EITHER! Listen, I get the urge to play hero and so and so, I did that as a kid! WITH DOLLS! WHO WERE ALWAYS, DOLLS! NOT HUMANS! God, you truly are a kid, you would be like, 5 in the human realm. WHERE IS YOUR MUM!?! DAD?! PARENTS?!
Fucking Plant Lady Coven head having to play Eda and (seems to be) the only one not controlled by the Collector and not be a doll, is fucking hilarious, 10/10
"Eda has a more, cool-aunt vibe, who pretends to be all cold-hearted but actually cares a lot" SEE, THANK YOU COLLECTOR, THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING SINCE DAY 1
Oh! Well. Most directors when they don't like the actors just fire them, but you do you Collector!
CAMILA ALSO JUST LOOKING AT KING AND LOVING HIM IS SO REAL, I adore him too Camila, don't you worry
WOAH ALL THE STUDENTS ARE OKAY?! Damn. That's one good school. Well, apart from the 2 that didn't. And all the staff went. BUT STILL, poor kids though. THEY ARE JUST KIDS. Also damn, we start to like Bump and that poor guy hasn't had a break since
...I don't even want to talk about that "man-tholomule" joke
THE BUMP STATUE IS THE GREATEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN, 10/10 Bump and Eda would approve, "Princy Bump"
ED MY PAL, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, "not empty! There were rocks at the bottom!" God I missed you Ed
Talk about being haunted by your past, damn Belos, you've killed a lot of people bro, oh and "Oh shut up!" IS NOT A GOOD RESPONCE TO SEEING THE GHOSTS OF WHO YOU HAVE KILLED. it is funny tho.
AMITY'S MUM!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE. God, you really have 0 morals huh. YOU ARE ACTING AS THE COLLECTOR'S MUM!?! Listen I know your kids hate you BUT YOU DIDN'T NEED TO REPLACE THEM WITH A BEING WHO IS TRYING TO DESTROY ALL WITCHES IN A WEIRD WAY!
"Clean the planet and scorch the air" Well that might be useful later!
I will ignore ALL of the corruption happening at Hexside right now BUT HOOTY! AND RAINE! AND EDA! AND DARIUS! AND- Yeah I'll stop now BUT YEAH
EDA THANK GOD YOU AREN'T A WEIRD DOLL, and sweetie, I get wanting to visit your partner BUT YOU'VE GOTTA STAY SAFE! All the coven heads (except plant lady) Being weird security now? Kinda cool! Confusing, but cool!
WOAH LILITH! WHAT HAPPENED TO BEING A DOLL?!... And no longer being ginger, and having long hair? I am very confused BUT HAPPY YOU AREN'T A DOLL!
....Okay I know they are probably comedic relief BUT LILITH AND HOOTY'S FRIENDSHIP IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME OKAY!
"With her real family" HUSH EDA, YOU ARE APART OF THAT REAL FAMILY
"You are actually a great leader" "Did you have ever have any doubt in your mind?" "Yes. Many many doubts" fucking mood Gus, you always get the greatest lines. I am stealing this
WOAH BELOS MY PAL, I get that your "grow your own clone" guy wasn't ready yet, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU STEAL RAINE'S BODY YOU PRICK
.....Don't say that about Flapjack HE IS STILL ALIVE, HE WILL MAKE IT.... RIGHT?!
I knew you were 1 step away from a breakdown Willow, I have been on that path don't you worry
AND I JUST REALISED I WENT OVER HALF THE EPISODE AND THIS IS A REALLY LONG POST SO, part 2 in like, half an hour

Just a little qsmp discourse post, I've been thinking about it for a while and I just wanna share something.
I agree that everyone should have their own interpretations of characters and you don't need to keep up with EVERY pov to say what you think about a character, but I do think that people should be a lot more kinder with the interpretations they have of characters in general.
This comes mainly from seeing people talking badly about characters (the latest one qWilbur, but I've seen it time and time again, with characters I enjoy and characters I don't). This always ends up with people having more context for a character's actions than others, and others making a big judgement without seeing the whole picture, or people who actually try to listen and understand a character's motives but are still upset about it.
I do think disagreeing or even disliking characters is fair, I mean, I do dislike some characters, but ALL of them have motives and explanations for why they do what they do, and also ALL of them have done questionable things to eachother.
The thing is, if I try to, I can create a horrible narrative for EVERY character (I'm not joking, I'm pretty sure I can) where they are manipulative, self-centered, selfish, hypocritical... but telling everyone: ''This character is SO evil because of this specific one thing he did one time to my favourite character!!!'' when that was a cc having fun, or maybe a slip up etc, kinda kills the fun for the ccs. Something I feel some people not take into account is that this is minecraft improvised roleplay, where at the same time creators are meeting eachother and just playing and having fun.
Yes, lighthearted moments where people are joking around kind of are lore, but sometimes, ccs just wanna have fun. This happens a lot with qRoier, where obviously his joking attitude is integrated into the lore and his character is actually joking about a lot of stuff, but like, for example, him enjoying mines is like 90% the cc wanting to have fun, not his characters actually not giving a fuck about killing the eggs (just an example of some takes I've seen). Even though if we think about what he is doing realistically, it wouldn't be an absurd assumption to make that he doesn't care. Now, I think it should be interpreted as what it is,,, Roier enjoying and having fun in the server. What I mean to say is, is this lore? Yes it is, qRoier canonically enjoys mines. But also, are we going to overanalyze this and make assumptions on his character and actually apply real-life logic into how we interpret every interactions he has? I would say that's too much, and makes the server an only roleplaying server where creators can't just fuck around and have fun.
I will say to be clear, if someone wished to bring things into their interpretation of the character that are little details like these and make it a headcanon for themselves, thats completely fair! But that's not actually canon unless the ccs decides to make it canon, and it is important to make that distinction in my opinion.
Btw I chose the qRoier example beacuse I think it wasn't a very big deal (at least in my tl) but I do not mean to create or re-open a whole debate about his morality then if it was big, I am just using him as an example. And also I say this because multiple ccs have complained on some way or another about feeling a bit overwhelmed/upset with this kind of thing. Cellbit and Baghera complained about people misinterpreting their characters and projecting into canon things they didn't mean to do, and Roier has complained (albeit a bit jokingly) that things are too heavy and people are too intense with the lore.
Honestly if this didn't bother the ccs I would tell most people that even though I dislike what I see as mischaracterizations, you can go crazy lmao, but if it makes them not be able to enjoy roleplaying as much and being in general on the server, then yknow... It could be cool if we could find a way to criticize or say what we think about characters in a more contructive way that adjusts to the ccs' vision.

God, I want to study Takarazuka Gregory under a microscope. What is wrong with him.
Because Suzuki Kei COULD told a good story there; a story about unpacking Miles' hero worship of his father, learning that Gregory was just as human and flawed as anyone else, or that he hadn't always been the paragon of justice that he remembered as a child…
But there's a difference between being a flawed human being and. Not giving a shit about his clients or about the truth, forging evidence basically out of laziness, and taking both his winning streak and his own girlfriend for granted. That is absolutely not a character flaw that fits with the Gregory we see in AAI2.
And what's weirder is that:
1: The dialogue shows that all of that was a recent & unwelcome development, and that his experiences with the bullshit of the legal world wore down his idealism and passion, but…
2: It doesn't really take much to snap Gregory out of it and back to the characterization he's supposed to have? Miles just has to tell him the same thing he tells Phoenix in FMT; about how 'being a lawyer is't about winning or losing, it's about finding the truth.' That and one musical number is all it takes to fix basically everything; he's rekindled his passion for lawyering and Sara is happy to see him back to his real self. It's like the ghost of Manfred von Karma or Robert Hammond had been possessing him, and that Miles had performed a BttT-style exorcism on him through song.
god this show's writing was so weird. at least we got some good music out of it. the remixes of 'a defense attorney's knowledge' slapped (both the fucked-up dl-6 interpretive dance nightmare version, and the swanky, jazzy version at the end of the show)
yeah it's SUCH a weird take on gregory. I want to say I'm not inherently opposed to gregory having a little morality crisis but some part of me is going to resist against it unless you handle it well (which the musical does not). there are ways to, say, present an attorney with a client they believe is innocent faced with the choice between forging evidence vs letting someone innocent be convicted, for example, and you could probably do something interesting there, if they, y'know, cared about nuance at all.
and it's extra weird because miles DOES have an influential mentor figure in his life who turned out to be extremely corrupt and forge evidence. yknow. AS WELL if they REALLY had to go this route with Gregory they could have had some kind of conversation between Miles and his former view on doing anything for a guilty verdict, and it's been a while since I've watched musical 3 but it didn't seem they ever did that at all?
I don't really like the idea of criticizing stories with "but if you did this completely different plot it would be better" but the whole evil gregory thing is such a mess I really don't have much of a choice.
the "defense attorney's knowledge" remix is probably the single song that makes me the angriest because "a defense attorney's knowledge (original)" makes me want to cry whenever it comes up in aai2. and they do This with it. The translation I had had some similarities to the song "the truth reborn", AND the ending of it in particular reminds me of musical 1 edgeworth's song "my rule" (to the point in my head I'm listing this song as "my rule evil gregory edition") which are all cool things to do with an antagonistic character IF IT WASN'T GREGORY EDGEWORTH WHO WAS THE ANTAGONIST.
I do think the musicals got steadily better with music though, I agree. did you know musical 1 plays "I believe in you" no less than six times? they did not need to do that.
