jaehyun: anyone who decides to be with this man has to have hands like. he is genuinely confused as to what's happening, but trusts that you can handle your own so he just watches in amusement. lies and tells you it's just a little scratch & that you still look pretty afterwards, even though your shit is BUSTED. at least you won though.

jungwoo: is screaming, crying, and throwing up. like normally you're his soft, sweet baby, so who the fuck is this?!?!? in tears the entire time it's happening, like he can't even comprehend what led up to the fight in the first place. on his knees, BEGS you to never ever get into another fight ever again. he is genuinely traumatized, like he never sees you the same way again lmao.

mark: cursing everybody in that mf out. MOURNING

Summary: Jax won't admit it, but he misses his friend Kaufmo, and the most healthy way to cope? Crying in Kaufmo's room away from everyone!

Notes: Yeah...longer than expected because of ✨️family drama✨️ and I needed to focus on my grades lol enjoy

Slowly creaking open the entrance to the Kaufmo's room, he flicked the lights, stepping into the clowns bedroom.  Paints, mini confetti bombs, fake daisys, all of his old stuff.

     The once clean floors and walls where still covered with his sloppy but still legible handwriting. Nobody had bothered to come to his room, yet until now. Jax couldn't bare to go.

     Steadily, the purple rabbit stepped his way to the old friends unmade bed. He hopped onto it and curled his legs up to his chess as he leaned against the wall, mourning his friends absents.

     Jax still remembered his silly little grins from just a week before, one of the only thinks that was nice in this digital hell. His favorite memories where their pranks on the others, hiding Zoobles parts, scaring Ragatha with centipedes, and even crashing an adventure if it wasn't much fun.

     Jax smiled at the thought, of Kaufmo and him making jokes or just hanging out in general. He actually enjoyed his presents, and found his startled honks and squeaks silly. He shivered thinking of the day of his abstraction. Why hadn't he put the thought on checking on him? Could he have fixed him before it was too late? It didn't matter now, he was gone; deep in the cellar with the other lost ones.

     Shakey breath, he layed his head on a pillow and stared at the ceiling. Nothing but "Exit, Exit, Exit." Endlessly repeating itself until someone would be drove mad. He turned his head away from it, and faced the desk next to the bed.

     A pot with some daisys, a lamp, and a peice of crumbled paper..

     Paper?

Jax lifted his arm enough to reach out and grab it, unfolding it until he could see the rest of the page. It was a note, or rather, letter. His pupils scanned the writing.

     I know I will be gone soon, I can feel it. Just yesterday I started hacking up thick black goo. I can't leave without proving them I'm right. Caine is a LIAR. I seen it, large and red. I probably couldn't even reach the handle if I got to it. I've seen it twice, outside and in the tent. I'm not having digital hallucinations, I've been here long enough. Once I show everyone that Exit, we can all leave together. I don't know what's on the other side, or even if our family's are still out, if we had any. I just cant leave them all behind, especially Jax's. But maybe then, I can find Jax afterwards, and we can be best buds outside of this hell  and be free.

     Those last few sentences... It made him tear. So many emotions filled his head and heart all at once. Breaking down, he held onto the paper fiercely and began to slowly but surely, break into a sob. Thankfully these rooms where all soundproof, he couldn't have any of the others seeing him so weak and cowardly.

     He couldn't stop the tears from flowing down his face leaving wet spots on the pillow and blanket. Soon enough, he started to whimper. Embarrassing squeaks and whines croaked from his throat that he couldn't control.

     Being in this room didn't help. Kaufmo wasn't coming back but he still felt there.

     He buried his face into the pillow to try and quiet his sobs even though no one but him could hear it. He couldn't bare his sobs, he wasn't supposed to cry. He's the tough guy, that listens to nobody and has no soft spots.

     His heart rate began to slow and his sobs and whines softened after about a good 5 minutes. He grabbed the blanket and curled himself into it, tucking each corner in to trap the heat and let his tense muscles relax. His breathing calmed and he was able to stop shaking from his cries. Finally, he let his mind drift to some place else, and with a few sighs he muttered, "I miss you, Kauffy," and fell into a deep, calming sleep.

Today's breakfast!

Vegan almond yogurt, carrot, and clemintine drink + pan-fried egg, steamed kale, sliced vegan bratwurst on a bed of rice!

Very rewarding meal, though I would have loved to have the drink and the food together lol. I forgot to prep and make the drink first, so I made and drank it afterward.

Wrt the drink, I cant quite call it a smoothie yet because I dont have ice and its just not the texture I want it at yet. It has very great flavor, especially the citrus zest; 2 clemintines with pulp amplified by twang of ginger root and a brightness of lemon juice (no cider this time! Didnt need it); lots of honey and carrot to add a tinge of particular sweetness.

BUT

I simply dont have the consistency I desire smdh. The lack of ice means theres less volume to the drink and its lack of viscosity makes the chunks of veggies (particularly the carrot) relatively unplesant in texture. I wouldnt mind said chunks and pieces if they were spread evenly in a smoothie. But alas lol.

Will definitely give the kale a break for more of this bright and healthy juice option!

Ingredients for the drink (no particular proportions; experimenting to taste)

2 clemintines with pulp 🍊

A handfull of baby carrots 🥕

A dash of lemon juice 🍋

A few dollops of vegan yogurt (unsweetened) 🍦

Small cut of fresh ginger root 🫚

LOTS of honey! 🍯

Now that I'm thinking about it, this entire drink would have been nice as is if I had some sort of mesh strainer to seperate the large chunks from the juice itself. That way, it could suffice without ice! 🧊 I def need to invest in one if I cant find one thrifted.

Onto the food!

Nothing too much to say here other than it was a great meal!

The egg was certainly more flavorful than last time, thought I admit it was a bit too much season salt lol. I cooked it last since I was right to remember that eggs cook in like 4 mins max lol. However, I accidentally skipped a step in remembering to heat up the pan with its oil before cracking the egg into it. So for several seconds the poor abortion remained clear and uncooked in the pan, sliding but not simmering. I thought i may have fluked the process again but I turned up the heat a bit and the egg bounced back, the whites appearing slowly as it actually simmered and cooked lol

The rice I simply made in my cute lil rice cooker (i should give it a name 🤔).

My mom got it for me when I was in college, considering I went vegan a few yrs prior, hadnt bought an [unlimited] meal plan at the dorm cafeteria, and may have had limited options (thankfully I didnt, eventually bought and u limited meal plan, and never needed to use the cooker living on campus. It became my ol-reliable later before I left though lol). Its a great cooker and can handle I believe up to around 1 or 1 1/2 cups of rice and its respective portions of water, which is plently for just me and usually enough for 2 servings. I use it almost daily when I cook so its def a staple tool in the kitchen I'm grateful to have. Thanks, mom! 💕

The kale I steamed in a pot with a lid and added a but of Lawry's season salt, a cap full of vinegar, and pepper. Simple yet flavorful. I love seeing the change of volume the kale undergoes as its steamed. A large portion of bright green, rubbery kale leaves that overfills the brim of the pan quickly shrivels into a manageable serving of jeep-green, seasoned kale, steamed to perfection (and much more pleasant to chew!). Speaking of kale transformations lol....

.... Ive had this batch of kale for going on 3 weeks now! I made a post about it before on my nature blog @happigreens (I'll transfer here eventually), but to condense it to the gist of this one, the salt bath i gave the kale was extremely helpful in extending the shelf life of the leaves. By now, theyre finally yellowing and some are wilting from dryness, but many still retain a crisp texture as if freshly harvested. I'll always soak kale leaves in saline water to preserve them! The kale in this meal didnt need that crispness necessarily, but the soaking probably retains its nutritional value for a lot longer, so thats definitely always important!

The brat I cooked the same as last time: pan fried! The brats are so good imo that they dont need any seasoning other than compatible cooking oil! Beyond Meat has some absolutely delish products. I just hope one day plant based products like that can be subsidized or something 😅. Also like before, the brat complimented the egg so well. I really didnt want any meat for this meal but craved the umami flavor combos I had with my last meal. Was not disappointed!

Ingredients for this meal included:

1 Beyond Sausage Brat Origianal link (pulled into pieces for a feeling of bigger portions lol)

1 egg (to be fried)

Like a big bowlfull of kale (again, no exact proportion here lol, but ut was a lot!)

Lawry's season salt (to season kale and egg to taste)

Pepper (for the kale and egg again)

A capful of vinegar (for the kale)

Olive and sesame oil (for pan-frying the egg and brat, and steaming the kale)

1 cup of rice (which take ~2 cups of water to cook)

9/10 It all came together for a great meal! :-)

i think i understand why i thought i was aromantic before(previously on ghosty's tumblr blog: looking thru an old diary and seeing myself write abt thinking i was aromantic)

(decided to put the rest under cut,,got a bit long lol)

i forgot what that felt like until a couple minutes ago, falling out of 'love'(it was towards fictional characters this time, but it sparked the memory of what it felt like to do so towards a real person). it feels basically the same way of falling out of a hyperfixation,, suddenly my view towards them feels one of a stranger, as if i never liked them that way all. its like i get fixated on a person(a crush), but then when my brain is satisfied it shuts off the feeling. and also like a hyperfixation, this fixation doesnt have a set time for how long it can last. sometimes it can only be like a week or a month. but during that time my brain is so desperate and attached to them, but also terrified and fearful of them(extremely heightened RSD).

bc of this fear and potential to suddenly lose my attraction to them entirely, i get now why i was so certain i was aromantic. i havent had an irl crush in awhile, but its also hard to remember if i even have bc of the way it disconnects me afterwards(if i have, i dont think they were for very long). i think the reason i even considered the 2 people i use an example for having crushes as crushes at all was bc of how long i felt that way towards them. which then begs the question; can i even have a romantic relationship?will my love ever last long enough? ive always wanted one, since i was first conscious. or at least, i thought i did.....i want someone i love forever. i want someone i love but also dont fear. i want someone i love to also love me for who i am(i know i can be loved romantically, and that people have loved me that way, but i never believe that the people i get attracted to are the type to love me that way back).

this is also why i used to believe i was the only person i'd be able to have a relationship with, bc i saw all my flaws and loved myself anyway. i didnt have to fear accidently being mean either, bc no matter what i said i knew i could handle it. ive seen relationships shown in fiction(usually platonic male relationships) where theyre jokingly mean to eachother, but know that they dont mean it in a hurtful way, and also have boundaries at the same time. and would stay together no matter what. one could breakdown, do something absolutely against social norms and considered negative, and the other would forgive them bc they knew they didnt mean it(not in an abusive way, abusive would be with intention of hurt and manipulation). i get jealous when i see that kind of open and vulnerable and genuine relationship in fiction.

(last paragraph here lol i swear)due to something in my brain(probably autism) i view love as very specific things. i cant love friends, but i can love the way they make me feel or the things we do together. i can love concepts in the same way(i assume) someone would love another person romantically, as this is the same emotion i feel whenever i love another person. i only label it as romantic bc romantic is described as the height of love, and that is the height of attachment i feel. i would also say that i feel that way towards love. im in love with love and romance and comfort in another human. but also due to my autism, i cant really tell if what im feeling is the love concept ive come to know, as i have a hard time labeling my emotions. even in my daydreams, i never date the people i 'love'. could be due to not having any experience. but i have a hard time imagining love outside of the crush stage. i can imagine things i want to do with them, like cuddling and kissing and sex(all in an asexual way), but i have a hard time putting the dating label onto it. could also be RSD(cant be rejected if theres nothing to reject), but whos to say. for now i can only hope to meet someone irl to test out my theories with.

∴ no not at all, really. ∴ sure, he feels sad but tears never fall from his eyes. ∴ however, if there is something traumatic that happens. ∴ he may shed a few tears into his pillow as he goes to sleep.

∴ pretty well, actually ∴ he finds a way to cope so he can move on as quickly as possible ∴ that’s not to say he doesn’t mourn or just erase their memory ∴ he just moves to work past being broken up about it ∴ he doesn’t want to go through his days with the heavy weight of a death on his mind ∴ the type of guy to visit graves and leave flowers for his loved ones once a month.

E-Emotion, What’s the emotion they tend to push away the most?

∴ anger. ∴ he doesn’t like to be angry and he doesn’t like to show anyone his anger ∴ that’s not always possible so he’ll remove himself from situations that make him angry ∴ he’ll go somewhere private where he can let his anger out without prying eyes. ∴ he feels like shit after losing his temper so he’ll apologize or you’ll have to console him and let him know it’s okay to be angry ∴ he’s human and bottling it up isn’t healthy ∴ he agrees but...tbh nothing changes.

F-Frustrated, How much would it take to push them off the edge?

∴ it truly depends. ∴ day-to-day, he doesn’t really get ticked off or upset easily ∴ he’s pretty patient tbh ∴ but in an event where he worked hard for something ∴ or he really, really had a drive to do something (like get into the hero course) ∴ and he fails to do it ∴ he is pretty easily set off. ∴ but he pushes past and works 10x harder than before until he accomplishes his goal. ∴ he’s a driven man.

G-Great Pain, What is the most painful thing they have witnessed?

∴ when he became a pro, the first time he failed to defeat a villain ∴ and many civilians perished as a result ∴ it’s something that absolutely haunts him. ∴ he had nightmares for weeks afterwards ∴ he fully went to a therapist ∴ like he was fucked up over it ∴ to this day, if he’s reminded of it he will literally get so anxious and depressed, even though he’s seen lots of casualties since then ∴ it was just that first failure that fucks him up.

∴ being cheated on. ∴ the idea that he wasn’t good enough, to the point his lover had to find someone else. ∴ that really damages his sense of self worth and self esteem which is already a bit low to begin with. ∴ he’d feel like there was something wrong with him and now everyone knew he was defective.

∴ very calm and collected. ∴ he figures there’s no real reason to lose his head over it. ∴ panicking will only make the situation worse. ∴ if it’s a bad injury, he’ll seek help as fast as he can. ∴ if its a superficial wound he’ll probably handle it himself.

J-Jittery, Which part of their past makes them flinch or even worked up?

∴ his childhood. ∴ he was the target for teasing and bullying due to his quirk. ∴ so if anything reminds him of those times, he gets really down ∴ he doesn’t like spiral into depression or anything ∴ but he’ll feel anxious and self conscious until the moment passes

∴ no, never. ∴ he’s worked so hard to become a pro hero that he wouldn’t want to jeopardize it by some sort of misconduct as that. ∴ also, he has been accused of having potential to become a villain ∴ and he doesn’t want to give anyone ammunition for that.

∴ he hasn’t actually experienced much loss in terms of losing anyone to death. ∴ when he was a child, he had a friend before his quirk manifested ∴ and accidentally used it on them, unsure of how to control it ∴ and it scared the other boy so bad he stopped being friends with him ∴ that hurt shinsou pretty badly. ∴ he also probably lost a pet dog, which was traumatic because of how  much he depended on the furry animal for comfort

M- Mistakes, How much do they want to fix the mistakes of their past?

∴ shinsou isn’t the type of person who will do things that have the potential for regret ∴ he thinks his decisions over thoroughly and runs through all options before choosing the most logical one ∴ of course, he fucks up sometimes but ∴ he stands by his decisions, confident that he did the best possible thing he could have. ∴ being a pro hero doesn’t allow for him to regret things -- if he stops to mourn every civilian loss, for example, he would only be run into the ground. ∴ that doesn’t help anyone.

N-Need, How would they react if you needed emergency surgery?

∴ calm and collected ∴ especially if you’re scared ∴ then he’s going to make sure he’s a pillar for you to lean on ∴ that’s not to say on the inside he isn’t losing his mind ∴ bc he def is ∴ he just finds it counterproductive to stress you out while you’re already scared of the surgery ∴ it would get neither of you anywhere good ∴ once you’re in surgery, he’d be anxious as he waited. ∴ he’s check the time and refuse to leave the hospital until the doctor announces you’re safe.

∴ training ∴ he works hard to better himself to become the best hero possible ∴ but it stresses him out that he’s not improving fast enough, he’s not doing enough, he’s falling behind others ∴ he’s really hard on himself and his drive only makes the thought of failure terrifying to him. ∴ he doesn’t want to fuck up and lose his chance at his dream.

Q- Qualify, What part of themselves do they see as dangerous?

∴ his quirk, naturally. ∴ it’s a pretty dangerous quirk but ∴ truthfully, everyone’s quirk is dangerous in some way. ∴ it’s just that he’s always been trated as if his quirk was the worst possible outcome he could have been born with. ∴ so he feels like his quirk is the Most Dangerous.

R-Rock, What weighs them down?

∴ the idea that his quirk, very well could be a villains quirk. ∴ he worries that he might abuse it by accident and fuck everything up ∴ his quirk is different from combat quirks or rescue quirks ∴ he can control people. he can lock them into their own minds and force their bodies to do anything he wants without having to lift a finger. and there’s nothing they can do it about it. ∴ that scares him. ∴ it’s such a powerful quirk ∴ and it’d be so easy to abuse it ∴ he worries about his own morality at times, due to all the times he’s been called a villain ∴ it makes him doubt himself even though he knows himself better than that.

S-Sorrow, Would they feel empty after your death?

∴ very much so. ∴ shinsou is the type who gives himself completely to relationships ∴ whether it’s platonic or romantic, he puts 100% in. ∴ so to lose someone he had cared for so completely ∴ leaves him with a devastating emptiness ∴ he’s not going to know how to fill the gap your presence left behind for a long time.

T-Time, What if they had a limited time to live?

∴ he wouldn’t panic ∴ he’d spend the time doing everything he needed to do ∴ like see his mother, hang out with his friends, eat his favorite food, spend a night with you ∴ he’d be determined to make sure he wouldn’t regret wasting the time he had left ∴ so he does everything he feels is necessary for having the happiest time that he has left.

∴ on a day to day basis, not much ∴ he’s very good at occupying his mind and thinking logically about whether it makes sense to see you or not. ∴ most of the time it’s not. ∴ he’s not the type to go crawling back to his ex unless it’s something he needs to fix with you. ∴ but at night, when he cant sleep ∴ his mind will automatically wander to you ∴ thinking about how it felt when just a few days, weeks, months ago you were curled up beside him in bed.

Seven stages of love Chapter 6: Agape

Summary: Ever since the Celestial War, since they all fell, Asmodeus has  dedicated himself to his sin. Not caring about anything else, but  drowning himself in the pleasure and ecstasy of it all. But not anymore,  now he cant even handle the idea of it. But, what else is there to want? After so long of having indulged in his sin, what is there than  Asmodeus is looking for, something that will fill him, and that wont  drive him to destruction? Perhaps his brothers can help him with that. Warnings will appear in each chapter.

“…hey.”

Asmodeus eyes snapped open, sitting up immediately only for his forehead to come in contact with that of the red haired demon that awoke him.

“Beel!” Asmodeus whined as he rubbed the spot he had hit, looking at his younger brother that had fallen on the ground, and was rubbing his forehead too. “You scared me!”

“Sorry.” He spoke, one eye closed as his hand kept the spot they had hit hidden. “I got curious on what you were doing.”

Asmodeus let out a sigh at that, eyes moving from his brother to the currently empty sky. The moon light shinning over them and the flowers of the garden, as a light breeze made the demon shudder, sighing, his breath becoming a fine mist before disappearing in the cold air of the devildom. What was he doing? Right, after his talk with Lucifer he had escaped from the oldest room and had wondered aimlessly. Lost in thought, or more like lost in life. The He felt…ashamed, of having said those things to Lucifer, and above all, he felt exposed, like part of himself had become undone for everyone to see. And he didn’t want his eldest brother to see what was going on trough his head.

But, for some reason, he had found himself wondering into the gardens. Maybe it was because he knew it was rare for the others to come in here at this hour. Or that’s what he originally thought. There seemed to be many things he didn’t know about his family, as well as himself, and possibly everything that was around him. He had never stopped to think what it meant to be a demon, and even worse, he had never stopped to think what it meant to be Asmodeus, and now, here he was, watching as the flowers in front of him moved slightly, some closed of to the world as Beel sat beside him.

“…just wanted to think.” It wasn’t a lie, but it wasn’t the total true. He had wanted to be alone, to not be seen by anyone but…there was something comforting in the Avatar of Gluttony that made him know he wouldn’t be judged no matter what he said.

“I see, thinking is nice.” Its all Beelzebub said, before picking up a watering can.

Afterwards the two felt into another silence. That was something he had become aware of recently after the talk with the eldest, their conversations were full of pauses, moments in which they could collect themselves and think before answering, spaces where they could analyze and take in what the other had said. But there wasn’t much to take in at the moment. It was only him, Beel, and the soft breeze that made some water droplets fly towards him, making the disoriented demon smile just slightly, before going back to his comfortable position. In which the silence prevailed, and he was grateful for that. Grateful that it was Beel the one keeping him company as he thought.

It was rare for his mind to be this quiet. For the last weeks it had been like a swarm of bees had settled in the demons’ mind, each screaming something else and pulling him in different directions that he couldn’t even see. But right now, it as…peaceful. And for the very first time since this whole crusade had started, he found himself being quite sure of what it is he needed. Almost all brothers had given him the answer, but each meant something different to them. And Asmodeus had yet to understand what it meant to him. He wanted to know what that word was for him. And maybe, just like so many times before, one of his brothers had the answer.

“Beel?”

“Mhm?”

“…what is…**** for you?” his words could be carried away by the silent breeze of the night, but somehow his brother had managed to hear him.

“Well, I guess everything?”

…what? Everything? And why had Beel not questioned him on why he was asking such a thing? Well, what else could he expect? It was Beel he was talking to, and as weird and cyrtid his answer was, it made the smallest smile come to the demons lips.

“Everything, huh? How so?” Asmodeus and opened and closed his eyes, noticing the twinkling lights up ahead as he lied on the grass, not even looking at his brother, who was still watering the plants.

“Well, I guess I just don’t have many things I dislike.” Beel shrugged, making a frown as he put too much water on a plant, proceeds to take a shovel and put a little more dirt to it. “But I do like a lot of stuff.”

“But liking is different…isn’t it?”

“Is it?” There was a genuine confusion in his brothers voice as he straightened up, glancing at Asmodeus for half a second, at which the demon glanced at his brothers as well. There was an unspoken answer in their looks. “What is difference?”

“…I don’t know. I guess that’s why I’m asking. I just…don’t understand how you can say that you…care for everything like that? I mean, I understand if you said us or food, but everything?” Asmodeus impulse himself up slightly, having his weight rest on his forearms, head thrown back as he watched the ever still sky of the Devildom, that above his gaze felt eternal.

“Yeah, I don’t know why either. I just think that way.” His brother shrugged before placing the watering can where it originally was and sitting down besides Asmodeus, his gaze fixated in the exact thing Asmodeus was. The infinity above their heads, and the vastness around them. “I mean, why would I not care about things?”

“But why would you care about everything?” it felt like they were going back and forth, and at thee end, like they didn’t say anything at all.

“…well, because everything composes the things that I really care about.” Asmodeus simply looked at his brother with a puzzled expression, tilting his head to the side. Only for the demon to talk again as if he could read the clear confusion that had taken over his older brother and the younger claim. “I mean…well” Beel frowned, almost as if he was having trouble putting into words what his head was telling him, putting into words the reasoning behind the bold claim of loving everything. “…you know how I really love food?”

“Oh, you do?” Asmodeus said in an almost sarcastic tone before chuckling and nodding to his brother.

“Well, I guess its kind of like how I like Simeons BTL sandwich. I like the sandwich entirely, but it wouldn’t be the same without each of the individual parts. So, why would I also choose to like certain parts of it, when I already adore the complete thing?” Beel had a small smile on his face as he chuckles a little.

His words left Asmodeus thinking. At first, he found it almost cliché that his brother would decide to relate things back to food. It was Beel, after all, so he wasn’t surprised when the demon started talking about food. But if he ignored that part, his brothers words made sense. Beel said he cared for everything, and at first Asmodeus was dubious of it. Heck,. The Avatar of Lust could have sworn in the past his brother couldn’t even feel anything else besides hunger. But now, here he was, the two starring at the same sky.

“…I guess that also applies to you.” Beel speaks, a smile on his lips as his eyes reflected the stars. “…you are all my family and I **** you all. That includes the bad, and the things I know you don’t like about yourself.”

“…does that include Mammons stupidity?” Asmodeus attempted to joke, only to notice Beel frown at that.

“Of course it does. And I guess that is also why I care about everything. Because all is part of the things and the people that I hold dear and close to me.”

At this, the demon smiled again, this time slightly even brighter, and Asmodeus smiled too. There was something almost…peaceful in his brothers words. Something that gave him hope. And even something that provided him with the very thing he had been looking for this entire time. Understanding. A genuine smile plastered itself across Asmodeus lips, the confused, rage, and sadness he had been feeling for so long now he finally understood. He could finally once more face himself in the mirror.

“What about you? What is **** for you?”

Days before, the question would have sent him into a spiral of self hatred and reflection where he couldn’t even find a shred of ideas that could let him answer that question. Now, the most it did was make his smile falter for half a second before a content sigh left his lips. Falling back onto the green grass of the gardens inside the House of Lamentation, Asmodeus chuckled lightly. That question had the very same answer of the “what was ****” question. But the answer would not have been complete without all of their brothers meddling in his life like always. Asmodeus could finally say what was exactly what he needed.

“…I think I finally know the answer.”

The lights were too bright. But Sirius tired to open his eyes anyway. James was sitting next to him. How the hell had he gotten into his house?! Then memories came back, cracking of bones, emergency sirens, a stadium erupting in booing noises.

He was in the hospital. His foot hurt a lot less than he expected, but it was also in a splint at the moment.

As soon as James noticed, that Sirius was awake -or at least had his eyes semi open- he hugged him rather aggressively.

"Mate, idiot, I thought you were dying!", James voice was muffled by the pillows.

"I did tell him, that you would 100% survive, though.", Remus interrupted Sirius thought process.

Not really being able to say anything yet, he just took in the scene he was presented with.

The cubs, off to the far left of his room, had probably just stopped playing a game with Olli. The cards were all over the table and Sirius couldnt even try to guess what they had been playing. But they were all facing him now.

Next to them Kasey sat a bit further away, but clearly in a position were he could look into Logans and Finns cards and observe the game.

In the middle of the room stood Kuny, Nado, Dumo, Thomas and pretty much their whole team. They barely fit into the room.

To the left stood Arthur and Moody, both relieved at him being awake. They had probably been discussing something about the season.

Right on his bed sat James. Still hugging him. Sirius wouldn't put it past him, to just stay like that for the next few days. Lily was sitting next to his bed on the right, reading her magazine. She was clearly not surprised about James' behaviour.

And then there was Remus. Probably sitting the closest to him after, off course James. Right to his left. There was no magazine or playing cards or even his smartphone anywhere close to him. He might have just arrived. Although he did look a bit too tired for that. Remus looked relieved, but also somehow pained.  Sirius didnt know if it was, because of his ankle or because of something else.

His thoughts were interrupted by James, again. "Sirius, are you with us?"

Now the whole room was staring at him.

"Ouais, je suis réveillé.", it came out as a raspy sound. "Can I-", he coughed. "Can I have some water, please?"

James got his water not even a split second after, from his bedside table. He almost spilt the contents over the hospital sheets.

After he drank the entire cup in one go, he put it back next to his bed. He only realised now that there were flowers and chocolate there.

Chocolate- how ironic. No one in a hockey team would ever gift another hockey player chocolate. It wasnt on their meal plan. How long would he be gone, if he was allowed to eat chocolate?! He would be able to play again, right? Panic went through his entire body.

That moment a doctor came in. Everybody looked at her expectantly.

"Mr. Black", she started, "you broke your ankle, and you were in surgery, a few hours ago. I'm glad to see you have already woken up. That's a good sign. I have to inform you however that there were complications with the surgery, so you'll probably not be allowed to leave for at least the next week. Also-"

"I'm sorry, doctor, but that wont be possible.", Sirius interrupted her. "We have a very important game this weekend, and not only do I need to play, but I need to practice. I can stay no longer than today."

I would have been funny, that Sirius Black tried to debate with a Doctor about his body's state, but in this situation the doctors expression seemed to morph into a sad one.

"I wasnt suggesting it, Mr. Black. You will stay here, for at least a week. After that, we'll check on your state and if we decide to let you go home, you'll have to rest for at least 10 weeks to let the bone fully heal"

"But-", Sirius tried to say, but was cut of by the doctor again.

It was like a child complaining about not being allowed to have a certain toy.

"Once your bone has fully healed, you'll need to learn how to properly walk on it again."

"And afterwards I can start practice again?", Sirius sounded like he at least tried to accept his fate. He wouldn't be able to play the whole season.

"I dont think that will be what's happening. I'm sorry to inform you, but at the moment, it doesn't look like your ankle would handle the pressure of being on the ice in a professional state again."

"Does that mean he can never play again?", James asked, his voice sounded a bit shot.

It was only then that Sirius realised again, that he wasnt alone in the room.

"As it is now, no. I'm sorry. It could potentially change, but it is highly unlikely", the doctor told them. Even she didnt seem as neutral now as when she appeared. But then again, all of gryffindor loved their lions. She was probably almost as devastated as any other person in gryffindor.

"Thank you", was the only thing Sirius could choke out. This was all to much information at once.

As the doctor wanted to leave, James got up.

"Cant you bloody do something?! Anything? Please? We need him. Anything?"

The doctor just repeated herself. "I'm sorry, but as of now, the only thing we can do is wait how Sirius body reacts to the injury." With that she left the room, Arthur and Moody following her.

James sat down again. And hugged Sirius tightly and awkwardly, because he was still lying on the hospital bed. "Please tell me if you need anything, Pads.", he whispered.

The rest of the room hadnt said a word until now. Sirius was thankful for it. But they were all staring at him. Waiting for some kind of reaction.

"Guys, I'm fine.", Sirius lied. "How did the snakes game end? I want every detail."

He didnt listen. But he was pretty sure someone explained.

So many emotions were running through his mind.

He was furious. At Snape for hitting him. At the world for making it happen to him. At the doctors for not doing more. At himself for blaming everything else except himself.

He was sad. This was it. His career was over. He would maybe sit on the bench during games, if the team would even let him. He probably wasnt even part of the team anymore. He would be able to come to the first few games. And then fewer and fewer. Until the crowd had forgotten him. Until the team had forgotten him. Until he was just an ex-hockey player, sat in this massive house, alone and unwanted, all over again.

"Sirius.", a gentle voice pulled him out of his thoughts. "Sirius, are you listening?" It was Remus', his hand now on Sirius' arm. As he looked down Loops pulled it away.

"Yeah, no, a bit, sorry." Sirius replied, " I was a bit lost in thought." As the rest of the team almost gave him a another sad look, he added "Just thinking about your new training plans and how exhausted you will all be. Next time you need to show the damn snakes not to mess with lions." This was one of the first times he wished, he could be exhausted with them.

The team didn't laugh. Logan moved his chair closer to Sirius bed.

"Next time we'll win. For you."

"Wow, if I would have known it just needed at hit, to get you more ambitious, I would have been down months ago.", Sirius joked. It wasnt funny. He didn't even laugh himself, although he tried. It came out as a short, bitter one.

The team was staring at him again. It was horrible. He didnt want their pity. He wanted to get back on the ice, now. But he couldn't. He would never be able to skate again. In his life. It was over. Everything was over.

VICIOUS. immediately. because they’re both about as good and competitive

so it becomes kind of a Thing - every saturday night they’ll “happen to be at the bar” and “see each other” and be like “i want a rematch” and monopolize the pool table. i mean other people can join them but it’s hell because they’re so focused on each other they just keep quipping and bantering and basically all but ignoring them. and everyone is like sigh. but it’s fun to watch so other ppl quickly start getting there to watch them and making bets and shit, and it gets the bar considerably more popular, so the owners aren’t mad

when you get angry, how do you show it?OKAY i have actually gotten a lot better at this!!!! i take a few breathes and honestly really sit there and think about it. i try not to lash out or act immediately bc if i do i’ll pop off. so i try to talk through it rationally and assess how i feel before i do anything crazy
