Ausenal
Arsenal Women x Teen!Reader
Summary: You join the other Aussies at Arsenal
Tumblr media
"Yeah, all you really need to worry about is if the big girls will let you play with them," Kyra teased from the seat next to you, pinching at your cheek," They might not and then you'll be left on the bench!"
"Kyra!" Steph snapped from the driving seat," Leave her alone!"
"I'm just joking!" Kyra laughed.
You didn't really find it funny. You were a ball of anxious energy as Steph drove you and the rest of 'Ausenal' to training. You and Kyra had, technically, signed for Arsenal on the same day but you had remained stuck in Australia after because you had to sort out some stuff about school so Kyra had already met everybody before you did.
"It's not funny," Steph said," She's scared."
"I'm not scared!" You denied it even though you were definitely scared and, had you not been sitting down, you would definitely be shaking in your shoes.
"You don't have to be scared," Caitlin said, finally looking up from her phone," Everyone's cool. If anything, they'll just complain about another Aussie joining them. We're taking over."
"And by complain," Steph said sternly," She means tease. No one's going to complain about you, munchkin."
"Munchkin!" Kyra giggled, pinching at your cheek as you tried to pull away.
The nickname had stuck ever since your call up to the national team when they went through a bout of injuries that meant that the scrawny nearly-sixteen year old had been deemed one of the next best alternatives and you had never been able to escape since.
Playing with, as Kyra called them, 'the big girls' had been your dream for years but now that you'd made it, you couldn't quite believe it and your shyness had come out in full force.
"Alright," Steph said as you all piled out," Boots?"
"Yeah."
"Socks?"
"Uh-huh."
"Schoolwork?"
"Yep."
"Good." She adjusted your coat and smoothed down the flyaway strands of your hair that were sticking up. "Okay. We're training until lunch and then we've got a two-hour break before the gym session. Do you know what you're doing during that?"
"My schoolwork."
"And, do you-"
"Come on, Steph," Caitlin said, slinging her arm over your shoulder," We've been through this like ten times. Yes, she'll do her homework. Yes, she'll make sure to socialise. Can we go now?"
Steph sighed. "Go on."
Caitlin began to steer you away.
"And make sure she fills up her bottle before training starts!"
The locker room was just as loud as your old locker room back at Perth Glory and it settled you a little bit as you ended up getting changed next to Caitlin, staring straight ahead at your cubby.
The other girls took their time so you were left just sitting on the bench and clicking the heels of your boots together as you waited. You didn't really know your way around so you just had to wait until one of the older girls finished getting ready and took you to the pitch.
"Hey. You're that Australian kid, right? God, I thought Kyra had a baby face."
You looked up and then immediately looked back down.
Jen Beattie was standing in front of you.
"Hi." Your own voice was barely a whisper, hardly even audible over all the noise in changing room.
She leaned a bit closer to you to fully hear and you went rigid. You didn't particularly like new people in your personal space without warning. Hell, it had taken nearly a month for Kyra to be allowed close enough to hug you, let alone pinch your cheek like she did earlier.
"You're not as loud as Kyra, are you?" She asked and it was clear that she was teasing but it still made you feel nervous.
You shook your head.
"She's an angel," Caitlin said," But then again, everybody's an angel when compared to Kyra."
"I'm not that bad!"
"Yeah, sure." Caitlin's arm swung over your shoulders, giving you a little squeeze. "But this munchkin is still an angel."
You kind of wanted the ground to swallow you up. Your cheeks felt hot as the mention of your nickname and you looked bashfully.
"Munchkin?" Jen laughed," I like it."
Caitlin laughed too before steering you out of the locker room onto the pitch. You were thankful that the drills were fairly rudimentary today but still hard enough that everyone was exhausted enough to not talk.
You glanced around as you drained your bottle, skirting out of the way quickly when Kyra approached with her still full bottle, already angling it to squirt towards you.
Usually, you had Mini to protect you when something like this happened but now you had to fend for yourself, darting around the outskirts of the group so Kyra couldn't change you.
You zipped past Lia Wälti and Leah Williamson, sliding past them as Kyra tackled you to the ground. She kept you pinned to the ground with her own weight as she unscrewed the top of the bottle.
You squeezed your eyes shut in preparation but no water came.
"Leah!" Kyra complained," Get off! It was just a joke!"
"It's her first day," Williamson lectured," Don't traumatise her so early. We want to keep her for years."
"Are you okay?" Lia helped you up, patting down your shirt to get the grass scraps off it.
"I'm okay." Just like in the locker room, your voice was barely above a whisper but she didn't seem to mind, just smiling at you.
"Good. I'm glad. Kyra usually isn't that mean, sorry."
"She's not mean." You felt compelled to defend Kyra. "She's just a bit silly sometimes. She doesn't mean harm."
"It's nice that you two are such good friends," Lia said. Somehow, she managed to squish you between her and Leah as you all headed in from training for lunch.
"Mini...er...I mean Katrina, she says that Kyra's got annoying little sister energy."
"Annoying little sister energy!" Leah laughed," Oh, that's gold! I like that!" She swung her arm over your shoulders. "I like you, kiddo."
A piece of nervousness lodged in your chest came loose and disappeared as Leah talked. She didn't seem to need your input much and you were more than happy with that.
Before you knew it, you were sat at a table next to Steph with a full plate and soft conversation washing over you. You still felt nervous around the other girls but you felt more settled than when you first arrived today, most of your antsy energy replaced with good old-fashioned shyness.
"You need to get started on that Chemistry lesson," Steph reminded you as she set you up with your laptop and some snacks," And tonight, you need to remember to call Mini to tell her about your first day."
You nodded, plugging in your headphones and clicking start on the video that was set up for you. You got a decent way through your worksheet before it started numbing your brain and you rolled up the foil of your snack into a little ball and rolled it across the table to Kyra.
She frowned at first before grinning, flicking it back at you. You ducked and grabbed it off the floor to return it. Kyra caught the next shot and you threw it back with enough force that, when you headed it back, it landed in her protein shake.
You both burst out laughing, attracting stares that had you instantly quieting and looking back down at your keyboard.
"Are you being a bad influence again, Kyra?" Kim asked.
"I'm not a bad influence!" Kyra said, picking the ball of foil out of her drink and throwing it back at you.
It was still covered in protein shake so you shrieked and dived off your chair to avoid it.
"She's meant to be studying," Kim continued as you picked yourself up off the floor.
"Give her a break," Caitlin said," Surely all that schoolwork can't be good for your brain."
"That's not how it works," Kim replied.
"Let the kid have a break," Katie inserted herself into the conversation easily and you kind of envied that a little bit," She's been studying for nearly an hour now. I, for one, am pretty sure that Steph said something about making sure she socialised too."
Kim looked like she was mentally groaning but she finally relented. "Fine," She said," But you're explaining all this to Steph."
"Please," Caitlin scoffed as she beckoned you over to sit with her and Katie," She'll be delighted that this munchkin is making friends."
You face was stained red. "You can't keep calling me that," You said to her," It's embarrassing."
"Sorry," Caitlin said, not looking very sorry at all," But with Alanna and Mackenzie not here, one of us has to keep up with embarrassing you."
"Leave her alone," Steph said as she came back into the room, your saving grace.
"She's right," Katie said," We certainly can't call her munchkin, that's her Aussie nickname." She grinned teasingly. "How does pipsqueak sound?"

"Stede should've said I love you!"
No. Nope. Uh-uh. Here's why.
He already said it. He went to say it, and Ed cuts him off because he's not ready to hear it. But Stede doesn't then go silent - he moves to "I love everything about you." Which is exactly what Ed needs to hear.
The entire issue has been about Ed feeling he was unlovable, and how Stede leaving him just confirmed that he was a monster, who couldn't and shouldn't be loved. So he becomes the monster because that's all he thinks he is and all he thinks he deserves. And he literally wakes up after a suicide attempt and sees the man whom he thought had left him for good because he was a terrible monster. He's angry and he has every right to be, but he's also scared because he spent months trying to die and there's a good chance that seeing Stede again is going to push him right back into it. What if his fantasy isn't real and Stede really doesn't love him? The vision of Stede saved him, but he's got no idea why Stede is there, why Stede left, or what will happen between them.
Despite his obvious blind-spots, Stede is actually pretty emotionally attuned, especially to Ed. He knows he fucked up and has spent months blaming himself for Ed rampaging across oceans. He wants them to just immediately forgive each other and everything to be great, but he's not deluded. It's very clear that "I love you" isn't going to do anything to reassure Ed that Stede is there for him. So he says that everything about Ed is what he loves - all the shit that Ed thought was unlovable, that made him horrible and monstrous and evil and that he should die, Stede loves. He's not saying Ed is perfect; he's saying that he sees Ed for everything he is, and that's enough. He goes into detail, that just being close to him and breathing the same air feels good. It literally the best possible way that Stede could say he loves Ed.
Tumblr media
Fast-forward to that big scene. Ed hasn't said any of those things to Stede, though he definitely feels them. Now, he doesn't know if Stede is alive or dead or captured or horribly injured, and he's just found a letter that said Stede was all in, no equivocation, that they're imprinted on each other's bodies and souls. Ed shouts "you wrote me a lovely letter!" to the fucking wind just in case Stede can hear him. When he gets to Stede again, he needs to say "I love you," because he just nearly lost him, again, without saying it. And the first time he says it, it's like a natural reaction (just like breathing). The second time, he looks into Stede's eyes and holds his face and emphasizes the words so that he knows that Stede can hear him.
And Stede's response is not dismissive, it's not him being afraid or reticent to say it back. It's a clear statement that he's known the entire time. He knows Ed loves him. Ed has shown him that. And he also emphasizes his words: "I know. I know that." It's the same rhythm as Ed's two "I love you"s - first breathed, then emphasized. Again, it's Stede saying very clearly that he sees Ed and knows him and that even if the worst had happened and they were separated forever, he knows that Ed loves him. Stede doesn't know a lot of things, but he does know that.
Tumblr media
Ed definitely needed to say it and be reassured that Stede knows how he feels. But Stede didn't need to say it again, he needed to do exactly what he does and assure Ed, "Yeah, I know you do. I've always known."
Like, these are two men who can't be separated again, because even if they are on opposite sides of the world - hell, even if they're both dead - they will always know that someone is waiting for them.

asking for jordan marie content and specially communication, like early on stuff when maybe they aren't dating yet but they are hanging out more and they start to get closer and marie starts to realize that jordan tends to shift to his male form when things get slightly romantic and she asks them about it, maybe playing like "how do you decide when to shift?" phrasing as a silly curiosity and jordan opens up about their insecurities and marie reassured them and yeah they kiss !
oh, i adore this! i hope this does your ask justice. 🩵 word count: 684
-
marie had noticed something about jordan in recent days, a peculiar tendency about their shifting form. since their first kiss, the two of them had become quite close, still a bit unsure about what they were. both of them were great at avoiding the big question, in fact, it was fun with it being a bit unclear. though, marie was craving a deeper connection, wanting to see what jordan was like when they were vulnerable. jordan could sense that too, which scared them. they were having fun with marie, without the responsibility of a relationship, but they were smart enough to know that this blissful ignorance wouldn't last forever.
"hey, jordan," marie asked softly with a smile on her lips, the two of them had been sitting in a grassy area of the quad on campus. enjoying a break from class and the sun, it was marie's idea. "can i ask you something?"
they looked over at her, quirking an eyebrow, "as long as you're not asking me for a favour. i'm actually enjoying doing a bit of nothing." they responded with a soft sigh, turning ahead as they closed their eyes and soaked up the rays of the sun. marie admired them for a few moments, taking in their shoulder-length hair and how the curls framed the side of their face.
"i've just been curious about the way you shift," she started, smiling as she tried to keep her question lighthearted, not wanting jordan to think she was prying, "how do you decide to do it? is it an emotional thing? do you have to think really hard for it to work?"
jordan looked over at her, swallowing thickly down their throat when they connected their gaze. they knew this question would come up eventually, but they were unaware of why marie was asking. "it's kinda' hard to explain," they said, shrugging, "it's second nature, i don't really have to think so hard about it. i can do it whenever i want."
marie nodded along as they spoke, trying so damn hard to keep the question inside, but it was like word vomit, "then why do you always shift into your male form when you're with me?" she questioned, eyes widening, "i mean, like, you know. not right now obviously, but if we were alone in your room. that's when you would." she swallowed a lump down her throat
she regretted the question immediately because she saw the pain that formed in jordan's eyes. yet, she felt she deserved an answer.
another sigh came from jordan, their eyes flickering away as they began fidgeting with their hands, "do you want the honest answer or the easy answer?" they asked back but didn't get a response. wetting their lips, they looked over to marie, eyes softening, "i, uh," their voice cracked, "i wasn't sure what you wanted, i just assumed... that's what most girls want from me. no one's ever wanted to be with both." they said, cringing at the word, hating that they often times had to talk about themselves like they were two different people.
jordan couldn't look her in the eyes anymore, their brown orbs falling down to look at the grass underneath them. how embarrassing.
"don't assume anything with me," marie spoke, her voice gentle. a hand reached over and slid over jordan's jaw, then their neck, "it's new to me, but... i like you. all of you." she whispered, staring at jordan like there was no one else in the world.
their gaze met once again, both filled with adoration for each other. jordan was about to scoff, ready to brush it all off, but it didn't take much to see the sincerity in her eyes. jordan's lips parted to speak, but marie didn't let them.
"i mean it," she whispered, leaning forward towards jordan. there was a tense feeling that moved through them, wanting to shift for security - but they didn't. they let marie move in close until their lips pressed into a chaste kiss.
jordan had been waiting for this moment for years. for someone like marie.

Arrhythmia
Tumblr media
Spencer Reid x Luke Alvez
Spencer is too focused on finishing the geographic profile to realize that someone was flirting with him.
A/N: Y'all remember that poll I made so I would work on my wips? Yeah well.. you get a complete new mini fic instead!
Word Count: 571
Tumblr media
Spencer stood holding a marker and looking at the map pinned to the board in front of him. He crossed his arms as he thought for a moment, before making a few marks on it.
Luke sat on a table nearby, watching his teammate in awe. He didn't understand how Reid would create the geographic profile so quickly, and so accurately as well.
Luke was supposed to be looking over the case files, searching for anything they might've missed while the others were either and the crime scenes or talking to the victims' families.
But instead, he was staring at the tall doctor in front of him. If you looked close enough, you'd notice his pupils had actually turned into full on hearts.
“Spencer?” He spoke out, smiling as he continued to look up at him.
“Yeah?”
“You know that feeling where your heart skips a beat?” Luke asked, grinning as he thought about what he was doing.
“Yeah. That’s called arrhythmia.” Spencer replied without turning, too focused on the map in front of him.
“I get that feeling every time I see you.”
“You should get that checked out. Arrhythmia is dangerous, it can damage your heart, your brain, or other organs. It can also cause strokes, heart failure, and heart attacks.” Spencer turned to Luke, looking slightly concerned.
“How long have you had that going on? Have you checked it out? You can die from that, you know?” Spencer frowned.
Luke stared at the doctor who was rambling on about the dangers of a heart condition he didn't have with complete adoration.
When he realized Spencer completely missed his point and was actually concerned, he sheepishly looked away from him.
“I don't-.. Uh, yeah I'll look into that” He replied, a faint blush on his cheeks as he faked reading the case file in front of him.
“Okay good, that really shouldn't be left untreated.”
Tumblr media
Later that week, Spencer was hanging out with Penelope at her house. He was telling her about whatever came to mind as she baked some treats for them.
“You know, Luke randomly told me about his heart problems.” He told Penelope, taking a cookie off the plate in front of him.
“What? Heart problems?” Garcia asked, placing the tray into the oven and standing up.
“Yeah! He was telling me that he felt that his heart skipped a beat whenever he.. looked.. st me…” His voice trailed off as he realized what he was saying.
“Spencer..” Garcia sighed, trying not to laugh at her best friend.
“His heart skips a beat whenever he looks at me..” He repeated, putting his head down on the table, feeling stupid for not realizing that earlie.
“He was flirting with me.” He whined. “He was flirting with me and I told him he could die!” He cried out, scared he ruined his chances with the man he was hopelessly crushing on.
“So smart, yet so, so dumb..” Penelope shook her head, patting Spencer's head trying to comfort him.
“He even told me he would go get it checked out..” Spencer added on, complaining as he remembered the whole interaction.
Garcia couldn't help but laugh at this, which only made Spencer whine again. “He what?!”
“I told him to go check it out! And he said he would!!” Spencer finally say up and looked at his friend nearby.
“You both are so stupid.” Is all she managed to reply.

Could you do something with some nice Luz and Hunter sibling fluff (I watched the last 2 episodes of toh and I’m so sad)
They're siblings, your honour 💕
Tumblr media
"You have fire bees here!?"
"No, fire flies. And they don't set anything on fire," Luz said with a laugh. Hunter didn't look reassured. Well, she couldn't blame him; most flora and fauna in the Boiling Isles wanted you dead- or at least wanted to take a bite out of you. All the normal, non-deadly surroundings of the Human Realm utterly baffled her friends.
"I'll show you," Luz promised.
"She's telling the truth," Vee piped up. "They're actually pretty cute."
It was the perfect time of year for fire flies. When Vee told her she'd gathered the courage for a closer look a few weeks back, it gave Luz an idea: fire fly catching! A nice, quiet activity for them all to do together.
Sure enough, once it was dark out, Luz could see the little balls of light bobbing around in the garden. She gathered an armful of jars and her friends, leading them outside.
"I don't know..." Hunter hung back, looking at the bugs warily from the back porch.
"Come on, when have I ever led your astray?" Luz teased. Hunter only raised an eyebrow.
Fair enough.
"Come on," Luz repeated, holding her hand out. A few feet away, Gus was cowering as Vee happily let a fire fly land on her hand. Willow was chasing the bugs with a little too much enthusiasm and Amity seemed enthralled by them all. One even landed in her hair.
Hunter looked at their friends and took Luz's hand. Sometimes it was still odd to hold his hand without his gloves in the way.
"So we just...Catch them in a jar?" Hunter asked. He turned the jar over in his hands, as if looking for a trick.
"Yep, pretty much," Luz confirmed. "And then we let them go. But while they're in there we get a closer look and they're like little nightlights."
Hunter seemed intrigued by that. He looked at Gus, hiding behind Vee, and Willow who was scaring a few bugs away with her wild swinging.
"I, uh...I shouldn't do that, right?" he asked.
"Absolutely not. I'll show you."
With Luz's guidance, they soon had a jar full of fire flies. The little bugs glowed softly, gently flashing on and off, twinkling like stars.
"Whoa..." Hunter held the jar up close to his eyes, closely examining every little fire fly.
"They're cute, right?" Luz asked, nudging him. He nodded, not looking away, hardly even blinking.
Wolves were his clear favourite, but Luz could confidently say that fire flies had successfully won Hunter over too.
Another idea sprung to mind and she smiled. Hunter didn't like the dark, she knew that, but he insisted on powering through it. He utterly refused to leave the basement light on, insisting he didn't want to keep Gus awake with the harsh light. But maybe...
"Remind me to show you some fairy lights," she said and Hunter's head jerked towards her so quickly she thought she heard something snap.
"Fairy what?"
"They're not made from actual fairies!"
"Then why are they called that!?"
"Because-" Huh, Luz had never thought about it actually. "Because they remind people of fairies." Yeah, that sounded right.
She kind of wanted to slap that judgemental look off his face. He was lucky she was feeling so nice.
"People expect fairies to be cute here," she reminded him. Still plainly baffled, Hunter went back to staring at their jar of fire flies.
"I'll show you," she promised. "I think you'll like them."
She wasn't even sure if Hunter was still listening, but after a moment he nodded. "Okay," he said quietly.
Luz's smile grew. Hey, if Hunter was going to be staying here when this was all done, they'd need to make sure the basement was an actual comfortable bedroom for him.
Steady on there, Noceda, Luz reminded herself. But she knew her mamá had been thinking about it. Luz had been thinking about it. Even Vee, who'd been so nervous of Hunter at first, quietly asked her who'd be taking care of him when The Collector was gone, and she'd looked so worried when Luz had been forced to admit that she didn't know.
Belos had been his only family- no, screw that, Belos didn't count. Belos didn't deserve Hunter. They had their own little found family and Hunter was part of that now.
They'd have to discuss it all at some point, but not tonight. Tonight was peaceful and Luz refused to spoil it.
But she'd show Hunter some fairy lights tomorrow.

Hi! Could I request some Paul+Ted friendship that's not NOT romance... basically Paul find Ted crying in a bathroom stall and they chat and it's angsty and all that good stuff. Love your writing btw!
BTW Ted has HORENDOUS self-esteem and I will die in that hill.
You can absolutely suggest that! Do you mind if I use this as a continuation to the time loop prompt? I could make that really angsty...
Tumblr media
"I wanna go back. I- fuck- I can't take this shit anymore!"
Ted's desperate attempt to keep himself in check had backfired drastically. Paul had known from the moment he confronted him that he looked like he was going to have a breakdown... And that had been proven all but true when he'd returned from his lunch break early and heard sobbing coming from behind Ted's office door.
After a moment of hesitation, and a check to confirm that nobody was following him, he knocked on the office door carefully, not wanting to startle him too badly.
"Christ-" Ted's breath hitched when his train of thought was so violently interrupted, and he tried for a moment to pretend like that hadn't scared him shitless. He took a breath, trying for all it was worth to sound even slightly normal. "Wh-what?" He asked, not noticing the way his voice shook.
Hand rested up against the door, Paul sighed softly. "It's just me, Ted."
"... Paul?"
"Yeah. It's just me. Can I come in?"
If Paul was asking that, he probably knew what kind of state he was in. Hell, he'd probably heard most of it anyway, who knows how long he'd been at it?
The panic had caused a tremor in his hands. In some kind of attempt to stop it, he pushed them both into the front of his hair and let his fingers graze through the strands that were trying to remain part of the gathering.
Don't do it. Don't you fucking do it. You're gonna make yourself sound like a madman, Ted. Don't let him in, don't-
"S-sure. Door's open."
Paul pushed his way through, and immediately saw what this state had done to Ted. He was on the ground, pressed up against his desk and hiding his face in his arms. His hair was uncharacteristically unkempt. Sure, Ted wasn't exactly known for keeping his hair neat, but there was so much of it out of the hair tie he normally used that there may as well not have been a hair tie at all.
He closed the door behind him, even though he knew there wasn't enough people in the office for it to matter.
Upon hearing that, Ted's gaze shot up, eyes wide and glistening, face streaked with tears. He tried to compose himself, but quickly realised that he was too far gone to care. Besides, Paul was probably here because he'd heard what was going on, there was no point in trying to hide it now.
"Ted, uh-" Paul hadn't come in with any kind of plan here. This was just plain concern talking, a need to see if there was anything he could do. Are you okay was the wrong question. He was so far from okay that it was almost astounding.
"What happened?"
As Paul chalked up a list of possibilities in his head, Ted tried to chalk up whether telling him straight out would be the right way to go. It was an insane demand, and there was no way Paul would believe him in any capacity. It's been Thursday for the past two and a half months... Yeah, that sounded stupid. And while there was a part of him that did want to be assured that it'd be fine, that he could move on even if it took time, he wasn't going to find himself admitting-
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Huh? What... What d'you mean, 'what"?"
"You just said-"
"Fuck."
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
He'd said that out loud. He'd said that out loud. So much for not wanting Paul to think he was crazy... He couldn't even trust himself to say anything without his mind getting away from him!
It didn't matter. Paul knew now, and he couldn't exactly take it back...
So, he nodded. Better for him to walk out now and forget he ever asked. Better for him not to think he was losing his mind. Better if he said nothing.
But he stayed. Brow drawn, completely silent... He was waiting for something. An explanation, probably. Ted heaved a sigh and forced himself to think about his every word.
"It's- uh- yeah. It's been Thursday for- for weeks. The same Thursday. Yesterday." He motioned for Paul to take a seat somewhere; the way he was just standing there was starting to get intimidating.
With a shrug, Paul walked over and sat against the other side of the desk, to put a little space between them. He leaned back against it, and glanced over at Ted. "I don't think I understand..."
Ted sighed. That made two of them. "I don't- I don't know, okay? Every time I woke up, it- it was the fucking same. Same day, with the same people and the same fucking conversations… I had this whole- I had everything worked out, and now suddenly-"
"It's Friday..?" Paul offered, with a genuine air of sympathy about him.
Ted nodded. "Couldn't have said it better myself. Yeah. It- it's Friday. I thought I'd be glad it was all over, y'know? That things would stop being the same, but it feels like shit, Paul." He reached up to pull out his now redundant hair tie, and scrubbed his hand over his face to collect the loose tears still threatening to fall.
Paul didn't really know, nor did he think he'd understand, but Ted was messed up over it, and he thought he owed it to him to at least make an effort. "So, what, you woke up in the same day?"
"Every day. No matter what I did."
"How long for?"
"Stopped keeping track a couple weeks in. Today's just... It's a lot, y'know? Thought I'd be fine..."
Paul shifted ever so slightly closer. Ted was absently twisting his hair tie into various different knots, pulling them out, and then then doing the exact same thing all over again. He'd never seen him this anxious over anything before, it was a strange enough sight on just that. Ted was brash, confident, reckless... The man sitting five feet away from him was shaking, lost, and barely able to string a sentence together without stammering.
There was a part of Paul looking to investigate, to get to the bottom of whatever was playing on his mind. The rest of him knew that spirals like this spiked the nerves, left a guy helpless. Ted probably didn't even know how to explain what was going on in his head, let alone what had apparently happened yesterday.
So, he stopped himself asking too many questions.
"I wanna go back. I know what that sounds like... But I don't fucking care anymore, I wanna go back." A sob racked his chest and he ended up gasping for breath. He found the strength to look at Paul, his eyes wide and frightened. "Saturday's coming. I don't know how I'm gonna cope when I don't even have to come to this shit hole! At least today I could pretend things were normal!"
Paul shuffled so he was facing Ted properly. The latter did the same, feeling a strange sense of being understood here. He didn't even know what it was, but Paul seemed to have understood at least some of that sentiment.
"How are you for the movies tomorrow?"
Paul's question threw him right off guard. He blinked, stared at Paul, then blinked again. "Huh?"
"Would.... Would having some kinda plan make this whole thing any better?"
Yes, goddamnit, I need something normal and set, because I've got two days of this shit and I don't wanna lose my mind before I come back on Monday...
"I dunno.... Uh, maybe?" Then he tried to scoff, tried to gain a semblance of himself. "What, you asking me on a date to the movies, Matthews?"
"Not a date. But... Yeah. It doesn't matter what's on, we could just... Watch for the sake of watching, y'know?"
"... I'll be there."

heey could you write Tighnari x gn!reader??
I have the scenario where they're friends and Tighnari is like, that father friend for Y/N and whenever reader has any problem or there's a mess going around in their life, they go to Tighnari to help them fix whatever's wrong up
A/n: Of course I could! I can't wait for Tighnari I'm planning to get him if I'll win the 50/50 and oh my god the livestream was a lot to take in I'm too excited!
Warnings: none
Pairings: Tighnari x gn!reader
You were so glad to have a friend like Tighnari and you couldn't thank him enough for all the help he gave you. He was so reliable all the time so you always found yourself seeking his help.
One time you were sitting in his base from the Avidya Forest struggling with biology for your upcoming exams in the Akademiya but Tighnari was kind enough to tutor you. He graduated with high merits in the Akademiya and yet he became just an ordinary ranger, you loved how he choose to do what he truly wished too.
"Ah well what about I draw you some plants and then you name them hm? Maybe it will help you recognize them easier." he told you and you nodded happily.
There was another time when you were struggling to get past the forest in order to get to the main city, and oh gosh who thought that tiger would come right at you? Well not to worry Tighnari had everything under control, as soon as he spot you he quickly stepped in scaring the tiger away and saving you from the trouble.
"You must me careful [name], what if some wild animal will attack you and I'm not here to see? Before walking trough the forest you have to assure your prepared for every danger." he scolded you in a friendly way and you just smiled as if you didn't do anything.
"Ah thanks Tighnari, I would be quite dead without you..." you said and he just shook his head helplessly.
Then there was the time when you both were in the library, you were searching for some books that could help you understand the subjects in the Akademiya better and yet when you climbed the ladder leading to the books you reached to get the book. But when you got the book, you lost your balance and you closed your eyes ready for the impact but you fell on something soft. When you opened your eyes you noticed a worried tighnari holding you in his arms firmly. You were so stunned that you couldn't even move. It seems that he was also busy looking in your eyes to let go of you so both of you stood like that for a while.
"Uh... Thank you Tighnari." you said shyly and he just shook his head.
"What will you do without me here to help you hm?" he said and you smiled.
"Ah c'mon I'll always have you here and I'm grateful for that." you said and he just smiled.
Yeah, being Tighnari's friend was one of the best things, he helped you in every moment assuring that your safe!

Okay so mermaids.
First off they're all non-binary. Mermen is just a funny inside joke they have.
Also they can grant whoever they want the ability to breathe underwater. This will come in handy later.
So you're best friends with a mermaid? How cool is that!? A semi-aquatic mammal, A- GENT P!!!!! Oh sorry sorry where was I? Yes yes. So obviously they are naturally curious about the human anatomy so you two agreed to show off cool facts about yourself.
They were amazed to see how your uh weird fins had smaller little fins attached to them? You told them it's called legs and toes respectively. Of course their delicate and thorough examination of those spots tickled like crazy. And that's how it all started.
The merpeople didn't really have tickle-ing in their culture. So your ever so curious friend wanted to explore such a new phenomenon. You thought to yourself that maybe this could be fun. And you couldn't have been closer to the truth. There's not a lot different between us landlubbers and merfolk. Where they have gills, we have just skin.
With permission you gently touched around their gills. Not ticklish at all. If anything you made them cough a bit.
With the roles reversed, their slightly scaly hands were almost too effective spidering against your neck. Of course they needed direction as to how lightly they should tickle which left you a sputtering flustered mess...
Next spot was the back. Some merfolk have a beautiful spiny back, and your friend just so happened to have one of them. Theirs was retractable able to open nice and wide and close back in like a pair of wings. At this point they asked you to come in the water. Not too deep so you don't get too scared but just enough. All it took was one small incantation and a gentle hug and boom you're under the water breathing.
You're amazed at how intricate their back was. With beautiful arrays of scales lining their back. You gently stroke your fingers along their scales (not against as to not make them uncomfortable). They let out a startled bubble stream out their nose. How adorable. I could explain how you did the same without them having to even touch your back but I don't wanna embarrass you~
Keep in mind that the water is touching you and does serve as a tickle enhancer. I mean have you ever been tickled in a pool? How fast and swiftly wiggling hands travel up and down your slick skin? Yeah...
So back to merfriend. They are curious about the spots where their scales meet their "skin". So places like their waist, or where our landlubbing hips would be proved to be extra ticklish.
The final place to tickle was their tail. And oh boy what a massive tail. You test the waters (pun intended) and touch their tail. The reaction was immediate and they were about 50 feet away. They timidly swam back and blushed. You recommend that they hold onto you and they comply (eagerly at that).
Let me tell you. Sound carries through the water SO well. Their laughter seems to attract other sea creatures that gather around to watch the show. Cause when merfolk are happy, so too is the ocean. They hold onto you for dear life as their tail wildly flails as you both gently descend to the ocean floor. You feel a gentle tap on your shoulder, a signal for you to stop.
And there you were, wrapped in your friend's tail on the surprinsgly soft ocean floor. You both giggled when a school of lil fish were curious about your tummies.
Bonus thoughts:
When in lee moods, after the discovery of the "tëokles" your friend subconsciously invites sea critters to satisfy them if you're unavailable. Lemme tell you, octopus are rad lers with their tentickles.
Some merfolk do have hydrokinesis and ofc they use that to create jets of water (think pool jets) to tickle
Sirens although known in many folklore to be evil how about their sounds of death are now sounds of tickles? Anyone who hears it can't help but giggle a lil and become extra sensitive

Bully Reader X Sans (Part 2)
(Still SFW. This part gets to the Sans X Reader stuff.)
Y/N’s Pov
I dreaded the day Sans would run into me next. But that day wouldn't be nearly as bad as the next time I ran into Papyrus.
“Hey! Paps! Uhhh is-”
“Y/N! Ooooh do I have some words for you!”
Usually I'd laugh at his silly, oddly motherly language… but he looked pissed. He lived with his brother. Obviously he saw what happened. And obviously Sans told him in a way that would make it look worse for me.
“Oh my god. I'm so sorry! Okay!? The whole canine unit was daring me to do it!”
“I insist you go apologize to my big brother right now!”
“Uhhhh…” I started quietly.
“Why are you hesitating?! Do you think I want to be friends with someone who bullies my brother! I didn't even realize how badly you were treating him until he came home with permanent marker all over his face!”
“I'm really sorry…”
“Tell him that!”
I really didn't get why Papyrus was fuming the way he was until he said,
“He's in our house all day now because he can't get it off!”
“What!?” I screeched.
“Is that a surprise to you? It's called a permanent marker.”
“It's not permanent for human’s skin! Oh my god. I'm soooo so sorry! I didn't know!” I insisted.
“Well.” Papyrus huffed. “I suppose your intentions weren't as evil as I thought, but you still have to apologize!”
“Yeah! Of course! Uh!- Well. I don't know if I should go to his house though.”
I already knew that Sans was extremely protective of his territory. Much like the dog guards. That wasn't a monster thing, but it did seem somewhat common in Snowden.
“This is an emergency!” Papyrus urged.
“Okay! Okay. I'll apologize. Is there something I can bring him? Like food? Orrr… I dunno.”
Usually when I had a fight with one of my friends I'd do something to make it up to them. But letting him draw on my face was my only idea and I'd assume he wouldn't like it.
“I would ask you to bring him Grillby's, but I heard you were rightfully banned from the restaurant.”
“Yeaaaah. What about MTT’s?”
“It… will have to do. Hurry!” Papyrus demanded.
“Eeep! Okay!”
I would never describe Papyrus as scary, but I'd die if he didn't talk to me. He was my only friend in the underground that I could really rely on for anything. He was irreplaceable and I did feel really bad about what I did to his brother. So I walked halfway across the underground kingdom and then all the way back to the skeleton brother's house. No doubt the food was cold, but it was the thought that counted.
*Knock knock*
The door didn't open, but not long after I knocked, I heard shuffling behind the door.
“Who is it?” A grumpy deep voice asked.
It was definitely Sans. It was actually pretty easy to recognize anyone's voice in the underground.
“Ummm. Your least favorite person... With a peace offering!”
“Fuck off!”
Something slammed against the door and scared a yelp out of me. I didn't want to stay there for any longer than I had to, but everyone said Sans couldn't hurt a fly. So I took a deep breath and started over.
“Please let me in. I know how to get permanent marker off of stuff. Okay?”
“You don't have to come in to tell me.”
“You at least have to open the door if you want food.”
Sans opened the door and stuck a boney hand out. I easily enough pushed the door open all the way. And I let myself in.
“Hey! What the hell?!”
“I don't apologize to closed doors. Now. Do you have nail polish remover?”
“The fuck does it look like?” Sans said rudely.
Sans looked as grumpy as he sounded. He was wearing his usual blue and gray jacket, but this time he had his hood up. There were two race car bandaids on his cheeks.
“You probably don't own soap.” I joked.
Sans shoved me and I nearly got locked outside again. I put myself between the door and the frame. Sans was thankfully not very strong.
“Aaah! Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!” I shouted.
Sans crossed his arms and huffed at me without saying anything.
“I'll come back with a few things that might work. Okay? You can take this for now. Or else it'll get even colder. But… please let me back in okay?”
Sans' already big eyes seemed to somehow get wider. But he quickly turned his head down and to the side as he muttered,
“Fine.”
“I'll be back later then.”
“Hey.”
“What?”
“Why are you doin’ all this?”
“I… I didn't realize that it was permanent. And I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't drunk. So I want to sorta make up for it.”
“You're not trying to get back into Grillby's?”
“No. It's your place. I won't go again.”
“Uh… I don't…I don't believe ya.”
And he slammed the door on my face.
“Uggghhh! Rude!” I shouted.
I turned away and headed towards the only convenience store I knew of.
It really is a shame. He looks so cute with those little bandaids on his cheeks! He seems more approachable now. I ought to convince him to take those off and let me highlight the cute marks I gave him with blush. Maybe he'll make some friends and leave me alone.
So I bought a few more things at the store than I originally intended. Nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, blush, and a snack too. Checking the time, I realized it was starting to get somewhat late.
“Oh! I have to head back! Thanks!”
I rushed back to Sans' house. Running into Papyrus on the way.
“Human! How did it go?”
“I know how to get the marker off Sans’ face. He's going along with me for now. Are you on your way back?”
“Yes! I just came back from training with Undyne!”
“That's great. It'll be nice to have someone on my side. It won't be as awkward that way.”
“I am always happy to help a friend!”
“Thanks Paps. Er. Papyrus.”
Papyrus raised a metaphorical brow at my retraction of his nickname.
“Why don't you and Sans get along again?”
“I dunno… he's just… He's a real mood killer. And I don't like that he's always trying to get on my case about stuff!”
“What stuff?”
“Well… like… Being mean to people. But hey! Even if he's right, lecturing me isn't gonna make me wanna be any nicer! Besides! That's just how people get along sometimes. You don't care. Right?”
“When you make fun of me? I… I didn't want to bother you about it but… Yes. I do care about that.”
“Oh… Papyrus I'm so sorry. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or anything. It's just-... Just… I don't know. I say to you the kinda things my friends up on the surface always said to me. The guard dogs do it too! We push each other around and stuff and call each other chickens but… I do it a little differently? Don't I?”
“Sometimes. It does feel the same as a guard calling me names but I don't like that much either. You, Sans and Undyne are really the only people I consider friends.”
“Really? But you're so fun to hang out with!”
“Thank you Human! You know, Sans is a lot of fun too! I didn't understand why he's always so tense around you, but I hope one day you'll give each other a chance! I think you would be really great friends.”
“Ahhh. I don't know. Right now I'm just hoping to make up for this. I'm glad you'll be there though. Maybe you can butter him up.”
“Aaahhh Weelll! I actually have something I have to do! I'm so sorry human! I'm sure you'll do just fine without me! I have to go now actually!”
“What?! But we're almost there! Come on!”
As suspicious as it was, I wanted to get inside a house quickly. Smart ladies don't stay outside at night. I knocked on the skeleton brother's door once again. Wondering what Papyrus suddenly ran off for. Especially so late at night.
“... What? Why!” I heard through the door.
Sans was talking to someone. I couldn't tell who and I couldn't hear much, so I put my ear to the door and listened in.
“Yeah. She just got here. I'm about to let her in… Yeah? Well I wish I didn't have to! Why can't you help me out instead?... I don't need to be friends with her. I don't want to... I mean nooo. Not as bad as before… Ya know. I love that you like everybody but she's a jerk… She did?... Well. That doesn't change anything. I gotta go. I think she's right outside.”
Sans opened the door. He had taken off his cute bandaids and I could see my artwork in its full glory.
“Eeee!~” I squealed and held my hands up to my cheeks to hide my smiling face from him.
“Uh! Hey! Shut up!”
I let myself in and closed the door behind me. Hopefully making his decision to let me stay a little easier.
“I've got two ideas that should both work. If somehow they don't, I'm sure I could find you some concealer until it eventually… well. Like… heals over or scratches off or whatever.”
“I'm not sure it would.”
“What?! But like. Your bone or whatever it is. It heals right!?”
“Yeah. But nobody's been stupid enough to draw on it. Most people think it's pretty obvious that I might not be able to get it off.”
“Well if that's how it is, then if this doesn't work then you can find concealer without my help!”
“What the fuck is that anyway?”
“Concealer? It's like a foundation specifically made to cover up redness or any blemishes.”
“Oh God. I'm not gonna use fucking makeup!”
“Are you kidding me? Don't be a pussy! Even guys use-.”
“What did you call me?!”
I saw a flash of blue light somewhere in the corner of my vision as suddenly my body slammed into the side of Sans' wall. The force of the hit knocked the air out of me. I talk big but I'm no good in a fight. I learned that the hard way a couple times. I raised a hand up to my throat. As if I could somehow catch my breath physically with it.
“Answer me.”
I looked up and saw Sans' cute vandalized face didn't look so cute anymore. One of his eye sockets was completely dark. Reminding me he was still an undead monster I knew nothing about. The other was glowing with a blue and yellow ring. He stepped up to me and put a hand against the wall I was thrown against. I yelped and tried to cover my trembling lips. But it didn't hide my horrified tears. The bright ring from Sans' eye faded away. Soon it was replaced with his usual cartoonish white dots.
“Wow. Just like the canine unit. All bark and no bite.”
No one told me that Sans could fight. In fact, I heard exactly the opposite from everyone. That's why I wasn't afraid to pick on him. Sans backed off me. I took a second to wipe away my tears before I shakily stood. I realized the irony of me calling him a pussy. Out of everyone in the room that moment, it definitely wasn't him.
“Just… Let me give you the stuff so I can get out of here.” I said awkwardly and quietly.
“Good idea.”
I gave Sans a pouty glare as I reached for the bag of stuff I dropped. I was too late to hide the blush I bought on a whim. I tried to hide it back inside the clear bag as sneakily as I could. Obviously with Sans watching me do it, I couldn't hide much.
“The hell’s that pink stuff?”
“Uh! It's nothing! I was just- um. Er- It's actually mine.”
“I can tell you're lying. Is that something weird?”
Sans had a disgusted expression on his face. I could tell what he meant by weird and I didn't like what he might have been insinuating. Even then, I found myself asking to make sure.
“What do you mean weird?!”
“Oh God. Grillby told me you might have a crush on me but I didn't think he was actually right.”
“Whhat?!” I shrieked.
Sans' Pov
“What the hell is wrong with people like you? Are you that immature that you can't treat people you like with respect?”
“I don't have a crush on you! You're insane!”
“Kay. Then why'd you draw hearts on my face?”
“Because I didn't want anyone to see how bad I am at drawing!”
“Bullshit.”
“I'll prove it to you!”
“No you won't. Anyone can draw badly on purpose. Besides that's not an excuse because drawing on curved surfaces is hard anyway. So nobody's good at it in the first place.”
“What? No it's not! Why would that be hard?”
Oh wow. She is bad at drawing.
“Well why didn't you just write something then?”
“I have really bad handwriting.”
I guess that makes sense. Those go hand in hand.
“I got the idea because Brandy said something about it!”
That makes a lot of sense too…
“I don't really believe you.”
But I wasn't going to admit I was wrong about something like that.
“Ugh! You're just full of yourself! You probably think everyone has a crush on you!”
“I wouldn't have thought it if Grillby hadn't said anything.”
“Well he's crazy too! He probably just wanted to make you feel better or something! He probably likes you!”
“Oh. So you think everyone has a crush on me.”
“That's not what I said! That's not what I said at all!”
Her screeching didn't do her any favors. Still being seated on the ground under me was suspicious too. But what really convinced me was what I noticed when she stood up.
“You're blushing.”
“Uh! No! I-Ugh! Of course I'm blushing! You just nearly knocked me out and now you think I like you! It's all the blood in my- ugh! You wouldn't get it.”
“Haha. How much makeup do you wear? It's a mess.”
“Aaah! Don't look!”
She covered her face and turned away from me.
“Oh yeah? Why do you care if I see you like that?’
“Ugggh! Shut up!”
Y/N grabbed her bag and everything that fell out of it and marched upstairs.

“Good to see you awake,” a voice behind him said, pulling him around.
Without thinking, Mike settled into a fighting stance before he even saw who the voice belonged to. He relaxed a little when he saw that it was a girl around his own age. She was looking at him with an odd expression, something between curiosity and relief. As she approached, he dropped his hands, sensing no danger in the situation. “Where am I?” He asked when she was close enough that he didn’t have to raise his voice.
“Not far from where you were.” The girl had her hands behind her back and she was still looking at him like she’d never seen another person before. “I figured it’d be good to move you a little in case those monsters came back.”
It surprised him that someone with such a slight form would be able to move him anywhere, but the second part of that response was what really got his attention. “Yeah, about those monsters, did they just run off or-?” Mike questioned, trying to remember if he possibly taken out enough of them to scare the rest away. Nighloks and their moogers didn’t really scare, though, they just dried out.
The girl smiled, seeming to follow his train of thought. “Don’t feel bad. You were trained to fight with a team, right?”
“Uh,” Mike was taken aback by her comment. “What?” How could she possibly know that? Judging by the way she’d been looking at him just now, she had never seen him before, and yet she still knew about his training and his team?

“If you’re looking for a marriage, you’ll have to come through me, first.” Jiang Cheng said, politely fierce.
Jin Ling’s jaw dropped and he closed his mouth with a even deeper blush spreading across his face. “Uncle!”
To her credit, Senior Lin kept her expression mostly placid, though her eyes were clearly amused. “He’s a bit young, don’t you think?”
“Exactly! He shouldn’t even be thinking about marriage!”
“I’m glad we’re in agreement, then, Sect Leader. I am merely here to assist on the nighthunt.”
“The nighthunt?” Jiang Cheng swung around to glare at Jin Ling. “You knew I was arriving but were planning on going on a nighthunt without me?”
“Actually, I assumed you’d just come along,” Jin Ling said faintly, wishing the evening was over already. “Do you want to come?”

"It's a very noticeable limp," Sage said finally, forcing the words out. Maturity was harder with people who matched it for some reason. "Everybody thinks I could fall over at any moment."
"You could," Bellamy commented, without spite.
"Obviously, yes." Sage acknowledged it while staring at the sky. "But I can stand and I can walk and I can't just sit around doing nothing."
"You haven't been," Bellamy said.
"Obviously, yes," Sage repeated, glancing at him irritably. He actually smiled for half a second, and Sage couldn't really be angry with him. "But nobody really wants to let me do anything or go anywhere because you're still mad about it. So if you could be mad on the inside and let me have your support again, I think everyone would benefit."
Bellamy nodded slowly, his jaw working like he was chewing through her request. "I'm not mad."
"Yeah, you are. We work well together, but you're in charge, and me walking around after you tell me not to isn't helping your image. I'm sorry about that, but get over it. And tell the kids to listen when I tell them how to throw sharp things."

Lexi blew some warmth into her bare hands before answering Adam’s call. "They're inside now, where I wish I was. This is not t-shirt weather."
"Tell me you’re wearing more than a t-shirt."
"I'm tough. And this hoodie has fuzz on the inside."
"You're gonna freeze to death. You know what the temperature is right now? I'll be right there."
"Adam, you don't have to-," Lexi sighed. He was so stubborn sometimes.
Not even two minutes later, Adam pulled up to the curb.
"What, were you just lurking around the corner?"
"Kind of. Here." He handed her a cup of coffee and while she was savoring the warmth he wrapped a scarf around her neck and pulled a hat down over her ears.
"I know I'm like you and Kim's adopted kid, but she and I are the same age."
"You don't look it, except for when you're being scary. And even then you just look like a scary kid."
"Um, thanks?"

I Can Take It From Anyone, But Not You | Donald Pierce x m!reader
@areyouwaiting asked: Okay, what about a Donald Pierce x male reader who’s a mutant? Donald has a soft spot for the reader but the reader is scared, for obvious reasons. With the prompt “You do know I’d never hurt you, don’t you?” :>
summary: Donald isn't exactly a good guy, he does bad shit and he doesn't care, but there's always an exception to these kinds of things. Even if that exception is shit scared of him.
tws: swearing, mentions of violence, smoking
Sometimes, Donald would scare you, although he never meant to; his job was to head security for dealing with mutants, ones created in a lab in order to try and control them. Even if, back home, he had himself a boyfriend who was a mutant, you were so fucking scared sometimes; when you heard whispers of what they were doing to those poor kids, of what they were doing to mutants who were born, you would be haunted by nightmares and thoughts that brought you to your knees. You had been one of the last mutants born, you weren't sure how you had managed to last this long, knowing that mutants were being killed off if they couldn't be controlled. You couldn't. You could never be controlled, even if you did hide your ability to communicate with animals, you couldn't be controlled.
Donald could scare you, even if you knew that he would never lay a hand on you without your consent, he could scare you; he would accidentally slam the door and you would go wide eyed and quiet and force yourself into a corner. Even if you knew damn well that he would never hurt you. But you never told him that it was him who was scaring you, you only ever said that the noise caught you off guard, or that you had thought someone was going to come after you; you didn't want to lie to him, but you didn't want your boyfriend to think that you would ever think he could hurt you. If there was anyone in the world who he would never, not even if a gun was against his skull, never hurt - it was you. You were the only one. An exception.
Still, as you sat out on the patio, you couldn't help but to flinch when you heard him come through, his footsteps heavy as he grumbled and chucked his stuff aside before sitting down beside you.
"Goddamn little fuckers."
You glanced at him for a split second, then turned your gaze to the patio slabs as you nodded. "Bad day?"
"And then some," Donald grumbled, leaning back and stretching his legs out. But then he noticed that you weren't trying to get against his side, and he frowned. "What's wrong with you?"
You shrugged, rubbing the back of your neck and swallowing thickly. "I, uh... y'know, when you come home, sometimes... it sounds stupid, but sometimes, I'm scared."
He furrowed his brows, moving to sit between your legs, his hands either side of your hips as he tilted his head to the side and sighed. "Why? It's only me, baby, y'know me."
"Yeah, I do, but..." you shrugged. Hoping he wouldn't be angry at what you were about to say. "I also know what you do at work and it..."
He nodded, daring to move forward enough to press his forehead against your throat, closing his eyes as he frowned a little but did his best to hide it from you. "You do know I'd never hurt you, don't you? You ain't in any trouble, by the way, I know you think I'm fuckin' angry at ya, but I really ain't. You don't gotta be scared o' me."
You nodded, somehow his words weighed heavily enough on your shoulders that you didn't feel like you had to be scared anymore; that's all you needed, really, was just reassurance that he would never treat you the way he treated others. That he would never hurt you, not even for a paycheck that could buy him the entire world on a stick. All you needed to hear was that he wouldn't do such a thing.
"Promise?"
Donald pulled back, daring to steal a kiss as he nodded. "I promise. You're my boyfriend, for fuck's sake, y'really think I'm gonna let anythin' happen to you?"
You shook your head. "I know, I know it's stupid to think that you would."
"Look," he moved to sit beside you again, stealing your cigarette and taking a drag as he put his arm around you and leaned his head on your shoulder. "No matter how much money they offer me, no matter what they put against my fucking head, I'm not gonna let any fucker get near you. Not one. I'll kill 'em all... just don't me scared of me. I can fuckin' take it from anyone else and not give a shit, but I can't have you bein' scared of me. Not you, not fucking you, (y/n)."
"Donald," you cleared your throat, daring to lean into him. "Would you, uh, would you be able to... fuck, this sounds so stupid, but would you be able to leave the light on tonight?"
"The downstairs one?" He waited for you to nod before he shrugged. "Fuck it, why not? You know I'd do anythin' for you."

Five | Cool Kids
Tumblr media
The alarm from Eva's phone went off, sadly it wasn't a soft alarm that'll ease you out of your slumber, it was the kind of alarm that'll give you a whole heart attack and it did. The obnoxious beeping sound scared Yovanna out of her sleep, causing her to hit her head on the steering wheel which woke Eva up.
Groaning at the pain that was now forming seconds later, she threw something at Eva for her to hit the damn snooze button. The sound was so loud, it got someone's attention from outside, who was now staring at the girls through the window.
Which was really creepy by the way.
He had milky white skin and spikey red hair, he kinda looked like a leprechaun, a freakishly tall leprechaun.
"Are you two alright?" The tall leprechaun spoke which only scared the girls more, Eva was close to pulling out her pepper spray till Vonna stopped her with a glare.
"Uh..yeah, sorry for the disturbance Mr. It was a long drive here.."
Yovanna apologized in a rugged sick like tone that made her sound like a crackhead or worse...a man. The tall leprechaun like fellow nodded in reply, taking in the scenery that was in front him, by how tired both girls looked, and how messy the car was with candy rappers; you would think they were homeless or something. And that what was exactly what the guy was thinking.
"Well, if you want to shower you can use mine. Its the least I can do, you two look like you haven't slept for days...and I don't feel right leaving you two here by yourselves." The man was nice enough to invite two strangers into his room...or was it really?
Knowing Eva wasn't going to turn down the offer, Yovanna nodded in reply but was still ready to fight if things turn left. Besides, the girl didn't have a room, they didn't know what hotel they were at, and she has a meeting in a few hours. So why not risk it a bit? If things do go south, there's two of them and one of him, so it wouldn't really work out in his favor. The mystery guy held a genuine smile as he went to open the door for Eva who just zoomed out of it like a excited puppy. Meanwhile Yovanna stayed inside for a bit to clean up the wrappers before getting out, grabbing both her and Eva's bags. She couldn't even take a step forward without the mystery guy taking all the bags out of her hands. It was a sweet gesture really, but Yovanna didn't need help.
"Oh! My name is Stephan but call me Sheamus. I'm a wrestler here in WWE, it would be nice to see you two in the audience, sorry if I'm being too forward." Sheamus had a shy like grin on his face, what a sweet guy. He took two girl's in his room to shower and eat and now he's inviting them to his show.
But what he said caught Yovanna's interest, not him inviting them to watch him but...that he works in the company she was going to join. Maybe he could be her trainer! Just as she was about to speak, Eva beat her to it.
"Well that won't be happening, Vonna here, has a contract signing with your boss! Most likely we'll see you backstage."
Sheamus eyes darted towards Yovanna as his smile grew wide, it kinda made her heart skipped a beat or two. He didn't say a word, not even questioning what Eva said, he just smiled. He was incredibly handsome and he definitely knew it, but Yovanna still, strangely, had her heart set on the stranger from the club/one night stand.
He still haven't texted her which sucked, you know? To not remember anything but still have the guy in your mind all day everyday. She didn't even know him so it shouldn't matter if a one night stand didn't want to hit her up, but why does it bother her so bad? Maybe it's the eyes and the body, maybe its because she so desperately want to have sex with him again and actually remember it.
Whatever it was, it can't matter right now. Today is all business not chick flicks.
Once they made it to the lobby, they were greeted by curious eyes from men and women that were built like greek gods and goddesses. They were all so muscular and good looking, Eva was in awe but Yovanna held no emotion in her face. Their lingering eyes made her uncomfortable, it felt like they were judging her. Why wouldn't they? She was a stranger that was following their coworker like she was some groupie.
They soon made it to the elevator with no interruptions, Eva and Sheamus seemed to already have a conversation in order to get to know each other better while their dear friend just stared off into space.
Until the familiar sound of her phone buzzing broke her out of her thoughts, it was just Vince reminding her about their meeting though, nothing really important. Unless you count the tweets and retweets she was getting about her beef with Randy. The elevator was surprisingly long, it took twenty minutes for them to make it to Sheamus room. Eva was the first one to shower, leaving Sheamus and Yavonna alone. The conversation with the two was short but sweet, he agreed to be her trainer but that was it. They didnt asked each any personal questions or anything. Once Eva got out, Yovanna rushed in the bathroom without a word.
--The meeting--
The three made it to the arena around 6pm, Vincent called to change the time, apparently he was busy or whatever. Backstage was busy, it was nothing like UFC. There was over a few hundred people crowding the place, Eva and Yavonna had to cling themselves onto Sheamus in order to make it through the intense crowd. He assured them that it was always like this, Eva was shocked, but Yovanna felt uneasy. Big crowds made her uncomfortable.
Soon enough, Shaemus dropped the girls off at Vince's door. They hugged and say their goodbyes, watching their new leprechaun friend head off to wherever he was going.
Once they couldn't see him anymore, they turned to the door that had a plack on it that held Vince's full name. Yovanna swallowed hard, pushing away at the thoughts, well voices...screaming at her to just back out and make a run for it but she just ignored them.
With one knock, the door swung open and the two was greeted by an very unattractive old man that looked rich, like filthy, disgusting rich and yet also racist, this must've been Vince. He began to smile once he spotted Yovanna, completely ignoring Eva's presence.
"Ah, Yovanna! You made it!" He voice held power but yet it sounded like he been yelling at the top of his lungs for years, it was horrible really but she held a smile to make it seem like she was happy to be here. "And who's this with you?" He was referring to Eva who wasn't even paying attention. She was too busy gawking at a pale skin girl dressed in black who was on her phone, eating what looked like grapes.
Yovanna gave her a small nudge to her side to get her attention. "This is my best friend and partner, Eva. I hope you don't mind her being here.."
His eyes went back to Yovanna as he took in her appearance, it felt like he was undressing her with his eyes but no one noticed except her. His smile grew but he didn't say anything, instead he walked back to his desk leaving the door open for the girls to come in.
Once walking inside amd closing the door behind them, once again that uneasy feeling was creeping back up. She felt nervous about this whole thing, being here in WWE, being in a room with Vince, it felt like a intoxicated dream. And she was about to sign her soul away to the devil that took away her aunt, her hero.
Vince pulled out the contract, handing it over to Yovanna for her to read over everything that was said over the phone between the two. She couldn't help but smile a little at how all of her request and conditions were in the contract. That smile soon disappeared. She knew that no one in wwe had the things she had in her contract, she didn't have to follow all the rules they did, she felt spoiled.
But then again, Vince wanted her here. This wasn't her dream job like it was everyone else's. To her, it was another job but to them it was their life.
The room was silent, Yovanna could feel all eyes on her as she cautiously signed on the doted line. After doing so, she felt chills down her spine, it literally felt like she just signed away her soul. She placed Vince's copy on his desk as she kept hers in her lap.
Her eyes went up towards Eva who returned her worried gaze with a small smile, she then looked at Vince who looked beyond thrilled. She returned his excited expression with a small smile of her own.
"Welcome to WWE Mrs. Silva."
He said and with that, the girls were on their way to the door till he stopped them. "You are going to debut next month. That gives you time to build your tension with Randy and to train, which starts tomorrow at NXT. I wish you luck. That's all, bye ladies."
And with that, they left his office. Eva took her bestfriend's hand, pulling her in a quick hug. "Look at you, a UFC female champion and now a WWE Diva. Congrats Vonna."
Sorry it took so long to update, my update schedule is going to be slow for next week due to me having school and work but I'll try.
Also sorry for the bad writing lol, as the story continues, it'll get better I promise. I just suck at beginnings.

The music at the part is a few decibels too loud, and Abby is pretty sure the side of her solo cup has a crack in it because the beer she's been holding seems to be leaking over her hand. With a sigh, she discards it in the trashcan someone had the forethought to put by the drinks and looks around for her date. Luke is flirting with a guy who she's pretty sure plays on the university football team because she recalls also flirting with him at some point.
Well, best of luck for Luke. He'd had to skip out on too many dates lately to help her, so she won't go and bother him. She rolls her shoulder, feeling some of the scar tissue along her back pull. It's not like she was going to get laid - there was no need to cover them up with make up, but if she didn't, then she couldn't wear the sparkling, sky blue backless dress she has on.
All she wanted was to feel pretty although the skyscraper heels are killing her ankles so those might have been a bad idea. She wanted to feel pretty, and seen, and there's a guy over by some terrible piece of modern art that's been watching her for the past ten minutes. He's tall, broad shouldered, and she thinks that if she lets him go down on her, he'd still be able to breathe because those shoulders would keep her thighs apart.
But it's not him, floats through her mind. Her candy pink lip gloss feels sticky on her mouth when she bites her lip and she sighs, feeling it slide along her chin with the motion. She can't even hear the click of her heels on the parquet as she leaves the sunken living room to go find a quieter part of the house and a bathroom to hide in for a bit.
The last time she'd been at a party, it hadn't been like this. She'd been giddy and laughing, only a little drunk with warm arms wrapped around her, mouth against her throat as she giggled that he was going to leave another hickey. He'd been delighted when she shoved her panties in his pocket and bitten his mouth with a mischievous little giggle.
But that was then and her heart was battered and bruised and the bleeding had slowed to a trickle and it was the most she could ask for. Luke had been insistent after everything that happened with the one who came after that she come out. She wasn't alone, and that asshole wasn't going to take her light away. She wasn't going to be a scared little girl hiding in her room feeling like she was too dumb to function.
Look how brave my sweet kitten is, he'd tell her, encourage her. Build her up when she was nervous about a job interview or an assignment with school. Then he broke her heart.
"Hey!"
It's the guy from the sunken living room. Abby immedietly straightens, wishing that the little purse slung around her had pepper spray in it but she hadn't thought about bringing it with her when Luke was here. He's smiling, and objectively, Abby's pretty sure this guy is harmless.
"Hey yourself," she forces a smile and a laugh. She'd gone upstairs, and the music is somewhat quieter up here and she's pretty sure there's a threesome happening in the closed room to her left if the sounds can be figured out. "Uh, can I help you?"
The guy blushes and reaches a beefy arm up to run his fingers through his hair. "Yeah, I uh, thought I recognized you. Are you on youtube or something like that?"
A flush burns up her neck. She knows what he's getting at. The OnlyFans she'd started three months ago was to help pay for medical bills and now it's giving her enough income that she's gone to part time at the coffee shop and in another month she's pretty sure she can quit. This was the first time she was recognized though.
"Next tour, you and me, kitten. I can't keep doing these weeks on end without you."
But Aegon had figured out how to get through the weeks without her and now here they were. Him out of the picture, and she dealing with her first in person fuck fan. Great. Of course.
"No, sorry," she continues to smile. "Um, sorry! I just really need to go to the bathroom-"
"Are you sure? Cause..." The guy's eyes linger on the hem of her skirt, the flash of pink ribbon garter that peeks out when she shifts.
"I'm very sure, yeah," she continues to lie through her teeth but the guy comes closer and she's wondering if the other door is the bathroom when she hears another set of footsteps and @dragynfire is coming down the hall.
It's him. It's him what is he even doing here?

Can you tell us some stuff about your splatoon ocs?
OH BOY so ive been meaning to drop some stuff about them(even the oldest ones because they've got some updates boooi) but ive been too busy drawing squid and playing squid bideogame to write about squid do u get me
so UH ill use this as my excuse to do at least some rambling uwU (<- me before i wrote this whole fuckin thing) they're all around the same age (17-19) but their character arcs sorta start based on the game i made them for (does that make sense?)
i wanna get them all smth decent on toyhouse eventually but this will do for now lmao
okay so this post is long as hell its readmore time
so to start with the splat 1 crew who were around 14 when i first made them;
but first here's the post w most of them, for reference :-)
Fernanda is basically the focus point of everything that happens here. Definition of girlboss; she moves every plot point because she is bold and determined to reach her goals. Her main objective is the classic BECOME THE VERY BEST and for that she's constantly trying to assemble the perfect team; though the means to reach that goal are pretty flexible. She's pretty much feral in battle, and is what some might call a "tryhard" in-game. She does try very hard. Way too much sometimes.
-anyway the moment she became a legit kid who is a squid at 14 she started going to turf war bc it was always her passion. Additionally, the moment her Childhood Bestie(tm) Speckle reached the same age she dragged him too. Personally, he'd rather not get into that stuff because hes very timid and nervous and scared and- yeah, that- but he's willing to do it with a friend; specially Fernanda, whose secondary hobby is beating up people who are mean to him. Thats sorta how they met in the first place.
She is, however, very determined to teach him the ins and outs of turf war and challenge him to go out of his comfort zone. He likes using brushes because he's an artsy person, but since it's a mostly aggressive weapon type, Fernanda wants him in the frontlines with her. It's just strats guys she totally isn't also doing it just to spend more time with her friend :-) shhh
But he sorta sticks like glue and depends a lot on her for safety, which isn't really the best idea in her mind. SO to try to teach him to be more confident she eventually starts joining the opposing team instead.
Needless to say, Spec is terrified being in a team without her. Doesn't help that she's the enemy, either, even though she usually doesn't outright splat him when they eventually clash. She moreso tries to give him a lesson first. It doesn't work very well. And worse yet, at one point some annoying ass charger starts targeting her specifically whenever she gets close to the other side of the map.
...And that's Gabriel (but i just call him gabe) :) He sorta notices how this girl keeps going after the same guy over and over again and eventually went 'yeah okay thats enough' and just started giving Speckle some support. (wanna make a lil note here that this is based on an actual thing that happened to me in game; i ran out of ink in a fight and the team charger blasted them and we both went BOOYAH. ill never forget u bro)
So yeah spec being spec he glued onto gabe instead. fernanda was, indeed, very upset by this because not only she couldn't enforce her lessons anymore but also spec was just doing the thing she didn't want him keep doing in the first place. And dealing with gabe is like. very, very annoying. specially for her as a roller main. he's always camping at the same few spots and he pretty much always avoids confrontation of any kind; motherfucker just jumps back to spawn or to a teammate who's safe. He has not only an advantage in range, but also his aim is impeccable. it's terrible hes terrible
anyway spec, despite being timid, actually grows attached to people really fast. from then on, every time they spot gabe in the lobby he waves and invites him to join them. fernanda is very annoyed my this but eventually she actually forms some sorta friendly rivalry with him(instead of, ynow, her being motivated purely to kick his ass). she ends up inviting him to join her (to be) Perfect Team(tm) and they all start hanging out more and learning how to work as a group.
also theres this plot thread
Tumblr media
its really just classic fluff n they end up dating like god intended
now there's like a big story gap here because, uh, it used to be some shared stuff with a friend but-- Yeah. im not sure what to do with that just yet. (..and its the big arc where fernanda has the most character development, strengthens her goals and improves herself. big gay shit too. bummer. 😔)
This gap extends all the way to the timeline of Splatoon 2, where they're all around 16
But lemme add some misc stuff that's happened since the first game tho; -Speckle has a new hobby, weapon customization! :-) he mostly does it for fun or for his friends, but occasionally someone comes up offering pay for it. he's not very confident about actually selling the stuff, but hey, he wasn't the one who asked for money. -Gabe learns to camp less but he gets tired real fast. -Fernanda and Gabe actually form a good and strong bond???? the rivalry is still there and they sometimes do 1v1 because she wants to get better at fighting people with far ranged weapons. -Actually, Fernanda's skill in particular grows exponentially. She's really giving it all she's got. Speckle might be less scared of going to turf alone, but it still makes him sorta nervous. -They move together to a lil place near Inkopolis Plaza because I don't follow real world rules (does a little dance) i will spare you of the somewhat underdeveloped socioeconomic hcs i made for this
OK MOVING FORWARD-
Splatoon 2 is the "Fernanda goes out scouting for a 4th person to complete their team and Spec befriends every single candidate" arc. It's what it says on the very specific tin. Just three of them won't do, and they have to get a 4th team member in order to start actually cooking some neat strategies because everyone has to be in on it.
They do turf and ranked matches and Fernanda tries to recruit the people who do best alongside them. In this process they meet Fernando, aka Fucco bc hes a fucker thats all there is to it lmao(though I have to mention Gabe is the origin of this nickname because he can't fucking stand Fernando; everyone else just sorta agrees because Yeah It's True), and through him they also are introduced to Roberta(bobby) and Orlando(orb!!!), who are his buddies and theyre just here to chill tbh.
When Fernanda rejects Fucco as a possible team member he is absolutely offended by it. So he rallies up his allies(see: his two friends) to clash against the og trio. Thing is, they don't really have much experience as a team. Bobby and Orb just sorta do turf casually, for fun. Fucco is the only one of them who is actually competitive and he just thinks great at it (hes average at best). He's always acting like they're the mean girls when both teams cross paths and tries to make up for his lack of skill with witty remarks, which, granted, is something he actually is good at.
He sorta starts pushing his teammates a bit too much to the point they're not really having fun anymore so they have to like stop supporting this for a moral lesson that he does not listen to and makes him feel betrayed so he gets upset at them. And then these battles devolve into just 1v1 between [chuckles] Fernanda and Fernando with everyone watching it like it's a saturday morning cartoon because honestly theres no contest here. This obviously makes him break eventually, and so Fernanda now is the one who has to break the moral lesson about idk fighting with passion, teamwork, actually accepting your own flaws and working around them and not through them, etc etc all that anime kinda stuff. Maybe throw something about the power of friendship there too just for flavor.
So while all these things happens, Spec is just being nice with the other team. He sometimes just stops mid-battle to listen to Orb rambling about something as he often does(yeah they just sit there but don't worry Gabe is always there to watch for whiny tryhards too), gives them a lil booyah when they do cool stuff, and always invites them to chill at the cafeteria when they're all done with their matches. And they do, although Fernando has a little uuuuuuh trouble with this. There's always a long exchange of threatening glares between him and Gabe and/or Fernanda. He's mostly only there because Orb is a friend he'd die for. and Orb really likes Speckle too.
Annnd yeah when this is all settled down and Fucco has finally stopped trying to be a nuisance these guys all merge into One Larger Group and he actually gets to join Fernanda's team in turf; not as one of them, though, just hanging out with them. It's all just shenanigans for them for a while after all that's done (-:
Eventually they meet MY BOY Michael aka Mikemas which is like Splatmas but with his (nick)name because he was 12 when he made that username. I switched the protagonist POV to him because, in case you haven't noticed, I just really love him. He's a little bastard who's got a significant following on the internet; he occasionally livestreams turf war(and other stuff) and has a BIG passion for music. Also makes funny short skits and other trendy type of content you'd see from an online personality. Speaking of online personality - that's all his sorta dumb egocentric attitude is. Though he is very confident, most of the dumb shit he says and does is mean to be a joke (see: "I don't need this, I'm an influencer" while being completely aware he isn't of that scale yet). Biggest highlights are the Calamari Inkantation ballad cover - the thing which usually makes people notice just how good his vocals are - and the "Now Or Never But Every Loop Gets Faster" video.
And then there's Manga, who I just got out of the afriendmadethis limbo because he and Mike go hand in hand. They live together and they're childhood friends who are, really close, not in a romantic way but in a way you'd probably think is. Manga participates in the internet presence stuff as well, he plays the keyboard and has a soundboard of funny sound effects for streaming :-) He's nonverbal, very quiet and deadpan most of the time but he's basically got the same sense of humor as Mike; they're very similar in a lot of ways that would make you question if maybe they're actually siblings? (they aren't) He's just less confident and less likely to engage in dumb shit; to the point he kinda has to act like a fuckin babysitter because someone keeps "forgetting" to take the medicine for their bipolar disorder and we simply can't let that happen so I guess we gotta fuckin suplex him to do it I guess. A lot of things need to have parental controls enabled because someone is very prone to addiction and keeps trying to play videogames for 24 hours nonstop without consuming anything but the hoard of iced tea they have in the fridge, which occasionally has to be locked also.
(in conclusion mike would've never been allowed to live away from his family if manga wasn't there)
Anyway yeah they meet Mike in turf and he's actually almost as good as he says he at it is so he earns the invitation to claim the honorable title of 4th member of Fernanda's team. ...Okay. It's more like. He's the one person who accepted it, I guess. And thus, Mike and Manga get to join their table at the cafeteria.
The last characters I made for Splatoon 2 were these guys, who never really got any development(or even names) until Splatoon 3 so I'm kinda pushing them to be for the Splat 3 plots I've been cookin'. And they finally have names - Vespa Gel, Roll and Viv.
So yeah now where we are, Splatoon 3 where everyone is 17-19. This is all still going on in the general area near Inkopolis Plaza, though we'll get to the mentions of Splatsville soon.
Mike was a very late addition to the team, so he isn't very well adjusted to the way they go about in turf and... He isn't really what we can call responsible, and is quite the chore to deal with. This bit of plot is mostly about several dumb conflicts between him and Fernanda because he keeps skipping practice, missing calls, and mostly acts independently instead of trying to work as a team. He is, however, a vital asset because of the skill level and comes in clutch very often, which is why he hasn't been kicked out of the team yet.
Now the stuff here is mostly still a mess so I'll get to some key points that happen parallel to that conflict--
-Mike meets Viv in turf and they bond a lot not just during matches but also afterwards bc Viv just sorta likes taking walks around the plaza and Mike tags along, initially because he wants to know when he could expect to see Viv in turf again because its good stream content and he just really likes going against people who match his skill bc it's fun :-) This sorta leads to them just hanging out a lot and meanwhile everyone at the table is just... sorta giggling quietly about how sus he's being bc of how he excitedly talks about Viv but he pushes back saying it's just some fun kinda rivalry y'now??? nothing to see here.
-Viv eventually has to stop hanging out bc he kinda is part of a gang that now kinda despises Mike. Well, Vespa, specifically, but the other two have goon brain so they gotta pretend they also hate him. They could hurt him in all sorts of bad ways because the boys r kinda unhinged, so Viv decides it's the best option to stop hanging out at the plaza(which is actually pretty far from where he lives)
-This is heartbreaking, of course, specially bc it happened right as Mike accepted that Yes, He Has The Hell of a Crush and sorta hits some insecurities he has.
-But right after he meets Sen, and they kinda have a relationship? One where they are together, but both don't really want to admit it? because theyre both fucking stupid lmao (jk its related to more serious things but yeah)
(this is where i pause bc im legally required to share a ref of him though i dont have a good and finished one so just take this)
Tumblr media
(fucken pastel anime boy babeeey)
-Sen is from Splatsville, he moved to Inkopolis alone to work towards a career goal by taking some extensive courses and apprenticeships. He is constantly overworking himself and being stressed due to it, but he really doesn't want to grow attached to anyone in Inkopolis because he is very deeply affected by separation. This move itself has been very hard for him, even though he still has contact with his friends back in the Splatlands, and he doesn't want to have to go through it again when he eventually goes back home. Well, that was the plan until he was forced to have a funny little guy who sticks like glue, as a treat :-)
..this is all I can confidently share for now, but there's a lil bit in the crock pot that I've been brainstorming because Splat 3 finally convinced me to take a dip on making the agents ocs. its THE GIRLS they're the ones featured in this post. i wanna do an alt story mode with them eventually but no promises since im bad at keeping my word LMAO
(small note i forgot to add, they are kinda connected to the main group bc they are sen's aforementioned friends they bully him on inkstagram)
(UPDATE) dear lord ive named them theyre Amber(Captain), Camellia(4), Elizabeth(8), and Goo(3) (<- but u say it more like its "gaw"). Lil' buddy is just lil' buddy but goo will occasionally call him cute lil nicknames when no one is lookin' so they do the fabled bABYTALK!!!!!!!!!
heres some extra stuff w them 😌
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and these bc theyre funny
Tumblr media Tumblr media
theres definitely more of these but searching for them specifically is tough DJFHGHBGDF

Kiss The Girl
Tumblr media
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Reader
Warnings!: angst, pining(lots of it), crying, arguing, but a fluffy ending, like super fluffy ending :)
Word Count: 3.7k words
Description: Hotch tries to deny it, but he's madly in love with you. He keeps getting this urge to just kiss you. Could it really be that easy?
A/N: not really sure what this is, but I was listening to that new cover of kiss the girl by Brent Morgan and I really wanted wrote this. It definitely took a turn i was not expecting, but I hope you guys love it as much as I do. :)
*Based off the song "Kiss the Girl"*
--------------
He loved you. It was no secret.
Everyone knew, everyone except maybe him.
Or maybe he did know, but he refused to accept it. He couldn't love you. It was wrong. But if it was wrong, why on earth did it feel so good?
There, you see her, Sitting there, across the way
She don't got a lot to say, but there's something about her
He wasn't the best at sharing his feelings. He was good at locking them away, and throwing away the key. But you, you made that hard.
There was just something about you. It drew him in, and he was hooked.
Maybe it was the way you giggled when you were nervous. Or maybe it was the blush that tinted your cheeks when someone gave you a compliment. Maybe it was the way you showed Hotch the happiness he needed in his darkest times.
He wasn't sure, but he knew you were special. He was sure he knew exactly when these feelings had started. It was the night of Rossi's Christmas party.
You sat on Rossi's couch, laughing along with Morgan and Prentiss. They had made some very very inappropriate joke, that you just thought was hilarious.
"Okay, h-hang on. I need a refill." You gasped out between laughs. You made your way to the kitchen, grabbing the wine before pouring yourself a glass.
"Hey." You nearly squealed as Hotch came in the room behind you.
"Jesus Hotch, could have given me a heart attack." He simply chuckled. "Yeah, laugh it up." You playfully rolled your eyes.
"I'm sorry." He tried to hide his smile.
"Yeah, you sound it." You walked towards him, giving him a soft smile as the teasing atmosphere faded. The room was empty, and you wouldn't be able to ever work up the courage again.
"Merry Christmas Hotch." You whispered as you leaned up, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. You pulled back, gave him a small smile, and walked back to the living room.
Aaron stood there, shocked.
Why had you don't that? Why had he liked it? Would you do it again?
The questions repeated in his head, over and over. And he realised that a peck on the cheek wouldn't be enough.
He needed a kiss, a real kiss. Even just one from you and he would be satisfied for life. But that, was an impossible dream. Or, so he thought.
And you don't know why, but you're dyin' to try
You wanna kiss the girl
Months had passed since then and he still hadn't gotten another kiss from you.
You two had grown increasingly close however. You were practically inseparable. Always at one of your houses, talking, watching movies, eating. You name it.
Although watching movies was usually with Jack, and currently he was stuck on repeating the Little Mermaid.
"Miss Y/n?" He asked one night.
"Yes Jackers?" You asked, looking down at the small boy.
"Can we please, watch the little mermaid with daddy?" He begged. He used those puppy dog eyes and you were sold.
"Of course we can." You heard a chuckle come from behind you and you whipped around.
"Didn take you long to give in, huh?" Hotch questioned, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Oh shut it Hotchner. Go get the popcorn." He laughed and shook his head before walking to the kitchen.
Soon you found yourself wrapped up with the Hotcner boys. Jack was curled up on your lap, his face buried in your neck as he fell asleep.
As you and Hotch watched the movie, he snuck glances every couple of minutes. He couldn't get over how beautiful you looked.
And you were holding his son, loving him like he could be your own. It filled Hotch's heart with love and affection.
And then that song began playing softly in the background
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
The lyrics spoke a truth that Hotch was desperately trying to avoid.
But he didn't know how much longer he could go without telling you. In the moment he couldn't remember why he hadn't told you already.
Possible she wants you too, there is one way to ask her
It don't take a word, not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl
All he wanted to do was reach over and bring you into a kiss. Just a simple kiss.
Just to feel your lips move together. Just for a second. He almost did. You had turned to look at him, and he leaned in slightly. His hand raising.
But the shrill sound of his phone broke the trance. His hand receded before you could grab it. And he didn't kiss you.
You were filled with a disappointment that you couldn't explain.
Sha-la-la-la-la-la, my, oh, my, look like the boy too shy, He ain't gonna kiss the girl
Sha-la-la-la-la-la, ain't that sad? Ain't it a shame? Too bad, He gonna miss the girl
The music of the movie faded as a grim look replaced the carefree one on Hotch's face.
"We'll be right in." He muttered out the words with disdain, sending you an apologetic look.
But you barely noticed, you were still trying to calm down the beating of your heart.
He was going to kiss you.
Did he feel the same way that you did?
All thoughts left your mind though as you felt Jack wake in your arms.
"Hey buddy." He looked up at you with the eyes he shared with his father.
"Do you have to leave?" Your heart broke a little bit at his questions.
"Yeah, bud. I'm sorry." He just smiled at you and burrows further into your chest.
"Its 'kay." He mumbled sleepily. "But we have to wait till Aunt Jess gets here so we can keep cuddling." Your heart swelled and your face lit up. Hotch was staring at the two of you, in awe. His son loved you so much.
You looked over at him, a tear in your eye. He swallowed as he pushed his feelings aside, giving you a soft smile before getting up to get dressed.
He was screwed.
A couple cases later, and you were holed up in a precinct, everyone nearly falling asleep.
It was a bad case, a really bad case. And you were running out of time. The unsubs' latest victim only had about a day left.
But nobody could work if they were falling asleep. Eventually Hotch sighed and told everyone it was time to head to the hotel.
But of course, once there, there were only 4 rooms.
"I'm taking my own room. I'm old." Rossi said and grabbed the key before anyone could argue.
"C'mon pretty boy." Morgan grabbed another key, and walked off with spence.
"I'll go with Jj. Y/l/n, you good with Hotch?" Your face went bright red at Prentiss's words. But you nodded, looking anywhere but at Hotch. You couldn't say no, it would be too obvious.
"Y-yeah, that's fine." You all trudged to the elevator, Emily and Jj said goodnight and walked off once you reached your floor. You and Hotch walked in silence down the hall to the very last room.
He swung the door open, and you had to stop yourself from gasping. There was only one bed.
"I'll uh, I'll take the floor." You scrunched your nose at Hotch's offer and he couldn't deny how adorable you looked.
"Hotch, no. That will kill your back." You shook your head. "We can share. We're both adults, it's fine." You're not sure if you're convincing yourself or him. He just nods and gives a soft okay.
"Do you want the first shower?" He asked.
"Um, no. I shower in the mornings." He nodded before walking into the bathroom.
Why was this so awkward? You guys were such good friends, this shouldn't be so weird.
You pushed the thought aside before crawling into the bed and curling up.
Hotch walked out of the bathroom 10 minutes later in nothing but a towel.
Your eyes grew and you couldn't take your eyes off of him. He cleared his throat, and you looked up at his eyes.
"Uh sorry, forgot my bag." You nodded, looking away quickly. Too scared to speak. He quickly went back into the bathroom.
"Get a hold of yourself." You whispered to yourself. You weren't going to survive this case if he did that again. He joined you in bed soon after getting dressed.
Neither of you spoke, neither of you moved, neither of you breathed. It was completely silent.
After about 20 minutes of silence and trying desperately to fall asleep you spoke up.
"Hotch?"
"Yeah?" His voice was hoarse.
"Um, I can't sleep." You turned towards him and he did the same.
"Neither can I." You sighed.
"How's Jack?" You asked, trying to bring up the mood, or to at least get rid of the awkwardness. It seemed to work because his face lit up at the mention of his son.
"He's good. He actually just asked if you could come over soon. He got an A plus on his spelling test that you helped him study for and he really wants to show you." You smiled as you listened.
"That's great! He was so nervous for that test."
"Yeah, thank you Y/n for helping him." You grabbed his hand, squeezing gently.
"Of course Hotch. I love Jack." You muttered, and you fell into silence again.
But it was more content, more peaceful. Your hands stayed laced together, and Hotch's mind went blank as you started leaning closer.
Now's your moment
Floating in a blue lagoon
Boy, you better do it soon, no time will be better
He started leaning in, his hand moved from your own to cup your face. But something switched in his mind. What was he doing? This was wrong. He couldn't let this happen.
Your faces were inches apart when he pulled his hand away and scooted backwards slightly.
Look like the boy too shy
He ain't gonna kiss the girl
Your face fell, and his heart squeezed painfully.
"Um, we should go to bed." You were so confused. You thought that was it. It was perfect. He, he pulled away though. Why had he pulled away?
You could almost physically see his walls being built up.
Walls you had spent so much time breaking down.
"Oh, um. O-okay." You stuttered out, pulling back  quickly.
"Goodnight Y/n." He said softly, but you didn't respond. You were too scared you would cry if you did.
You fell asleep faster than you anticipated, but maybe you were just that tired.
He was gone when you woke up.
You thought everything might just go back to the way it was after that night.
But boy were you wrong. Hotch had completely pulled away from you.
No longer did he invite you over, or invite you to do paperwork in his office with him
You didn't watch movies, or go out to eat, or even talk about anything other than work. It was hell.
You tried, you really tried to get him to open up again, but it just didn't work. Nothing did.
It was to the point where he would be almost rude to you.
The team was beginning to notice. And you couldn't hold back any longer. It was killing you.
You needed to talk to him, past this wall he had put up. You needed to know why he was pushing you away. You walked up to his door, knocking on the door.
"Come in." He said softly. You walked in, and his eyes stayed trained on the paperwork in front of him.
"Hotch?" He still didn't look up.
"How can I help you Agent Y/l/n?" He asked, his voice not wavering from professionalism. You shut the door behind you and walked forward, sitting in one of the chairs.
"We need to talk." He was taken aback slightly by the determination in your voice, but he sighed before setting down his pen.
"What is it?" He sounded almost annoyed, which just made you angrier.
"What the hell is going on?" You didn't mean to be so rude about it, but you needed to know.
"Excuse me?"
"Seriously Hotch, we went from talking almost every day, to not speaking unless it has something to do with work."
"Y/l/n…" he went to stop you.
"No. Hotch please. I don't know what I did." You begged. "I mean you can't even use my name anymore." You whispered.
"This is very unprofessional." he wasn't breaking.
"Please Aaron. Don't lie to me." You tried his first name, and he had never loved his name being spoken more than when you said it. But he had to stop this.
"Agent Y/l/n. I'm sorry if our friendship was confus-" but you cut him off.
"We weren't just friends. You know that and I know that." He had the audacity to look confused. But he knew exactly what you were talking about.
Don't try to hide it how, You wanna kiss the girl
"Please Aaron, don't pretend, not with me."
"Agent Y/l/n! That's enough!" His voice was rising.
He didn't understand why you couldn't just let it go.
"No it's not. I love you Aaron, I'm sorry. But I do. And it hurts so much that you are pushing me away!" Your eyes filled with tears and Hotch stood there, awed that you felt this way. But he couldn't let you in. So he took that final heartbreaking step.
"I don't love you." He whispered out. You had been standing and you took a staggering step backwards.
"What?" Your voice was small.
"I don't love you Y/n." The lie was tearing him apart. Why was he doing this again?
Tears began falling down your face. You were upset and mad and heartbroken. And you were embarrassed that this man had this much of a hold on you.
"Fine." You sniffed. "If that's how you feel Agent Hotchner." He missed the way you said Aaron and flinched at the formal title. But this was what he wanted. "I apologize for the unprofessionalism." You turned to leave, but stopped when he spoke.
"Y/n…" His voice was small, strained. You wiped away your tears. When you looked back, his eyes were glossy.
But he didn't say anything else and you kept walking, slamming the door behind you. The bullpen silenced and everyone stared at you.
It was humiliating, but you walked to Rossi's office, your head held high.
"Rossi?"
"Y/l/n, what's wrong?" He asked, like he hadn't heard the conversation through his shared wall with Hotch.
"Can you please tell Hotch that I'm sick and I won't be in for a while?" Your voice wavered slightly, but you ignored it.
"Y/n-" he started, but you didn't feel like talking.
"Please Rossi?" You begged, praying he would just say yes so you could leave.
"Yes, of course." You nodded and thanked him before leaving. You slipped down to your desk and grabbed your bag.
You didn't see Hotch standing in the doorway of his office, watching you as you left, tears silently slipping down your face.
Your teammates asked what was happening, but you just waved them off and left.
They all turned to Hotch, but he was already back in his office, his door slamming for the second time that day.
You wanna kiss the girl
A week passed, and you hadn't come back to work yet. Hotch wasn't sure what to do with himself. He hated what he did.
The team was confused, Rossi kept sending him angry glances, and your empty desk was haunting him.
And then, Jack asked that question. The question that broke him just a little more.
"Why doesn't Miss Y/n come over anymore daddy?" He had asked one night at dinner.
He didn't know how to answer. "Does she not love us anymore?" His eyes were big and glossy like he was going to cry. He decided not to lie to his son.
"Daddy made a mistake and Miss Y/n is just a little sad right now." Jack didn't understand what was happening, but he wanted to help fix it. His dad had been so sad these past couple of weeks and it made him sad.
"Daddy, you have to say sorry! And you have to do what the song says!" Hotch looked at his son confused. What song?
"What song buddy?" He asked, pulling his son into his lap.
"You know, you have to kiss the girl!" He giggled like it was the most obvious answer in the world.
"The little mermaid song?" He asked, smiling at his son's innocence.
"Yes, remember, you and Y/n were sitting on the couch before you left for work, and you were going to kiss her!" Hotch looks shocked, Jack was awake for that?
"Um, buddy. Me and Y/n aren't together." He sighed as his son deflated.
"But why? You love her. And she loves you." He spoke, confused as to what was happening.
"Um.." Hotch drew a blank. He couldn't give this little boy an answer. Not when it was his fault. Not when he was the one that had said no.
It was a mistake, a huge mistake. He should have just told you.  Why hadn't he?
He should have kissed you.
The first time, or the second time. He should have told you that he loved you too. Was it too late?
"Um, buddy, you know what? It's time for bed." Hotch put his son to sleep and called Rossi, asking him to come over.
He prayed he wasn't too late. Rossi showed up at his door 20 minutes later.
"Hotch-" but he knew.
"I know, I'm an idiot. But I have to go tell her I love her too." He was rushing, grabbing his keys.
"Atta boy Aaron." Was all Rossi said as Hotch ran out the door, jumping in his car.
He was sure he was going faster than the speed limit, but he couldn't care less. He needed to see you, and to be with you. To tell you that he loved you.
His car was barely parked when he jumped out and ran up to your door, banging on it.
You heard the noise wondering who would come over so late. You were shocked to find Hotch there as you opened the door.
There, you see her, Sitting there, across the way
She don't got a lot to say, but there's something about her
"Y/n." Was all he said. You slammed the door in his face.  He began banging his fist in the door and you threw it open, again.
"Leave Hotch."
"Please, Y/n, just hear me out." He begged. You hesitated, but moved to the side letting him in. You shut the door softly.
Yes, you want her, Look at her, you know you do
Possible she wants you too, there is one way to ask her
"What do you want, Hotch? What more could you possibly want?" He shook his head, holding his tears at bay.
"Aaron." He spoke quietly.
"What?"
"Please, it's Aaron."
"Agent Hotchner. You need to leave." But he didn't leave. He stood there and stared at you.
"I'm so sorry Y/n."
"Hotch, seriously, I can't do this. I can't." You tried to keep those tears in, you were tired of crying over him, but there was no point. You felt then slip down your face.
Words weren't working, he had already said enough. But he remembered Jacks words.
The song.
Now's your moment, Boy, you better do it soon, no time will be better
She don't say a word and she won't say a word, Until you kiss the girl
He stepped forward and brought his hand up to your face. He leaned in slowly, and brought your lips to his.
Your heart stopped, and you kissed him back desperately. You had wanted this for so long. You had waited for so. Damn. Long.
"Your so stupid." You murmured against his lips. He pulled away gasping for air.
"I know" his voice was beautiful.
You've gotta kiss the girl, Go on and kiss the girl
He leaned in again, kissing you like his life depended on it. He gently ran his thumb across your cheek as he wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you forward. He broke away a moment later.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I was an idiot. I love you." A tear escaped his eye, and you brushed it away. "I dont expect you to forgive me. I wouldn't forgive me if I was you. I was awful, and I never should have lied and said I didn't love you too. I shouldn't have pushed you away."
"Why did you?" He hesitated, he wasn't sure you would understand.
"The last time I let someone in my heart, she left. And then she got hurt because of me. I couldn't risk that happening to you." He shook his head.
"Oh Aaron. I'm not leaving. I don't ever want to leave you. I love you too much to leave." You paused. "And you can't hide and be scared to open your heart. Its okay to let people in." You added softly and he gave you a smile.
You both stood there in blissful peace, your foreheads touching. He chuckled and you looked at him confused.
"What?"
"I kissed the girl." You just grew more confused.
"What are you talking about?" You asked humor in your voice.
"The song. Jack said I had to do what the little mermaid song said." You understood then and began giggling.
"Maybe, maybe you should do it again." You suggested, a smile on your face.
"Hmm, maybe I should." And he leaned in again for another breathtaking kiss.
.....................
"And that is how me and your dad got together." Your three kids sat in front of you listening in awe.
"Wow, so Jack is why he finally told you he loved you?" Your middle child, Tommy asked. Jack laughed as he stood up, tapping your shoulder as he towered over you.
"You could say that." Aaron said from the doorway, you turned, smiling at your husband.
"Yeah, sure." You giggled and ruffled Jack's hair as you picked up your nine year old daughter, Jenna. Who, in all honesty, was almost too big to be picked up.
"Mommy, can you tell us that story every night?" She asked, and you smiled.
"Of course I can sweat pea. But now, its bed time." You tucked in your kids, giving them each a kiss on the forehead before joining your husband in your room.
You plopped on the bed and curled up into his side.
"Hi sweetheart." He greeted you with a kiss, and he pulled you into his side. "You know, you didn't need to make me sound so…" he couldn't quite find the word.
"Stupid? Clueless? Dumb?" You asked, giggling as he began digging his fingers into your side, tickling you.
"St-stop. Aaron!" You shrieked and he let up, but not before plopping on top of you. He began peppering kisses all over your face.
"I'm glad you finally told that story. Jenna has been begging for weeks" Your youngest had watched the little mermaid a couple of weeks ago and Jack had made a comment about one of the songs. Jenna had heard one word and was begging for us to tell her our "falling in love story", as she put it.
You had finally given in and told them, and they had loved every moment of it. Jack of course had already known, having witnessed it.
But Jenna and Tommy had loved hearing how their parents had fallen in love.
And a week later when you walked in the living room you were filled with a sense of nostalgia as you saw Jack with Jenna in his lap, as Tommy and Aaron sat on the couch next to them. Watching, of course, the little mermaid. You plopped next to Aaron, smiling.
As Kiss The Girl started playing.
